1. Have you ever seen two movies at the theater in a row? No. I don’t think I have the attention span for that, regardless of how much I enjoyed the movie.
2. If you were to go to Starbucks right this second, what do you think you’d order? Iced Americano and maybeeeeeee a chocolate cheesecake or their barbecue chicken sandwich.
3. Do you own any dice? Yes.
4. Do you like to wear cardigans? I do like them and wish I had more because I think they suit me, but it’s not really a priority either.
5. If I were to ask you nicely, would you please consider making a survey for me and everyone else? I can try but will probably quit halfway through because I’m not super good at coming up with questions that haven’t already been asked.
6. What is the worst thing a child has ever done to you while you were babysitting? None of my cousins ever misbehaved towards me when I had to look after them. The worst thing I saw was a kid punching my sister in the stomach, but he cowered as soon as I came over and begged not to tell on him lmao.
7. If you wear contacts, do they tend to get really dry after only wearing them for just a couple hours? I don’t wear contacts and am generally not a fan of the idea of dropping things in my eye haha.
8. Have you ever watched any British television shows? Like...Mr. Bean? Lol sure, I guess. I don’t watch a lot of it though.
9. Do you own a nightgown? No. I don’t see it as a necessity.
10. If you could get any pet right now, what would you? I’m more than ok with my two dogs.
11. Have you played Grand Theft Auto: IV? If so, what do you think of it? Yeah I’ve played every game in the series. I don’t have too many memories of GTA IV though...my favorites were mainly San Andreas and GTA V.
12. How often does your internet disconnect? With our old connection it probably went out once or twice...a year maybe? It definitely didn’t run into a lot of issues. But we recently switched our service to one that’s able to provide a much quicker connection, but it’s been a bit of a compromise because it has issues a bit more often than the one we used to have; it goes out for a few hours several times in a week, which can be a hassle for my work from home setup.
13. Have you ever actually been stuffed into a locker? No, our lockers were too small to stuff a person in them.
14. Do you / did you decorate the inside of your locker at school with stuff? I didn’t. We weren’t allowed to.
15. How many teenagers do you know who have babies? I don’t know teenagers with kids now, but I have several classmates from high school who gave birth when they were in that age range.
16. Is there a fan in the room you’re in right now? Yup, mine is always on unless I was purpose wanted to sweat my ass off.
17. Do you believe that chivalry is really dead? No but it should be, as should any sexist institution predicated on the idea that only men are real people. <
18. If you have one, what’s your favorite novel by Chuck Palahniuk? I don’t have any.
19. Do you get your surveys from your subscriptions page or do you actually go to specific sites and search for them? Tumblr, or Bzoink if I can’t find any interesting ones from here.
20. How much is your cell phone bill each month? I use prepaid, so this doesn’t apply to me.
21. And why the heck is Cingular now AT&T? I really don’t care.
22. Have you ever made a house out of a giant cardboard box? It was possible, as a kid.
23. Have you ever made a tent out of sheets in your bedroom? This one, definitely. It was easier to do this hahaha.
24. What’s the coolest thing you’ve made with Legos? I was never creative. I only made towers.
25. When you make a survey, do you answer your own questions? I’ve never made my own survey.
26. If you could keep your parents or trade them for other parents, which would you pick? Ugh this question is so cruel...I would change my mom’s personality, I guess. I don’t know if I’m willing to trade her.
27. Do kiwis make you think of testicles or is it just me? No, I don’t think about kiwis ever.
28. Do you think it’s cool how peroxide gets all fizzy when you put it on a cut? I don’t think about this either.
29. Is there a piggy bank in the room you’re in? No.
30. If I had the power to give you one thing right now, what would it be? A loaded bank account.
31. Do you want to get pregnant right now? Not now, but I do want to be able to have this experience someday.
32. Do you know anyone who doesn’t like the internet? My grandma hates the whole tech thing and has refused to learn anything beyond the landline phone.
33. Do your grandparents know how to operate a cell phone? My late grandpa did and paternal grandparents do. Like I said, only my maternal grandma hasn’t bothered to catch up with gadgets.
34. Have you ever housed a friend for a long period of time because they had no place to live? No, and I’m not sure if this is something my mom would be receptive to. If I had my own place, I would do this for a friend in need in a heartbeat.
35. If you have a favorite comedian, have they ever been in a movie? I don’t have a favorite comedian.
36. How many sets of twins do you know? Three off the top of my head. Two sets from my high school, and the other set were my classmates in an English class I had in college.
37. Has anyone ever made fun of you for using proper grammar? I don’t think so.
38. Do you own any hemp jewelry? Nope.
39. Have you ever cut carpet with a carpet cutter? No, I didn’t even know that that’s an actual thing, so thanks for the new information.
40. Are there any books you want to read? I’m not really eyeing any book. Haven’t for a while now.
41. Is it before of after 3 pm? Before, I guess. It’s 4:03 AM.
42. If you have younger siblings, are you very protective of them? I can be of my sister. I have virtually no relationship with my brother.
43. If you have older siblings, are they very protective of you? I’m the eldest. 44. What are your plans for New Year’s Eve? I don’t plan that far ahead.
45. Would you like a beer? Eugh hate beer no thanks.

Video game tag!
I was tagged by the wonderful @misseffect for this! Thank you so much for tagging me 💕 I’ll tag @nuclearvessel @expertmakodriver for this and anyone else who wants to do it!
Games
First game you ever played: viva piñata! I loved that game growing up, my garden was an elite one I’m telling you!
Favourite game: I’ve got to say Mass effect, to be honest. The first mass effect game really fueled my love for video games and I just think it’s such a great story driven game!
Game you’ve played through multiple times: also Mass effect lol! I’ve played the first game through 4 times now, it’s my most played game!
Game you hated at first but now love: originally I hated fallout 4 because I thought it was too scary for me with all the ghouls and stuff, but now I love the game!
Game you used to love but now hate: I used to love call of duty but as I’ve gotten older I’ve realised it’s really not my kind of game so I don’t really like it anymore.
Your favourite game atmosphere/ setting: Dragon age origins’ Ferelden. I think the place is so cool and seems like somewhere I would live, so it’s got to be that for me!
A game with your favourite ending: also Dragon age: Origins! I love the ending because you get to hear about what everyone does after the blight and it gives me a real sense of accomplishment!
A game with the worst ending: I’m not sure about this one! I didn’t hate mass effect 3’s ending like some do so I can’t really say on this...
Best character customisation: the sims lol
Heroes and companions
Your favourite playable character: Femshep because there’s so many options you have with her and she’s a total baddie.
The funniest playable character: Hawke in Dragon age 2, especially if you pick the sarcastic options with her. It’s funny to see her interact with the companions too!
Your favourite companion(s): Garrus Vakarian bc he’s a sweet boy and he’s so kind and Alistair Theirin bc he’s cute af and he’s himbo, which I love more than anything ever.
Companions you could live without: Merrill in dragon age 2. I’m sorry, she just really irks me and I can’t stand her!
Relationships
Favourite game friendship: Femshep and Garrus in mass effect 2 and 3 specifically. They’re so sweet together and I love the way their friendship works because they’ve always got each other’s backs!
Favourite game relationship: Warden Cousland and Alistair because himbo + sort of dumb warden = the most perfect relationship ever! They’re so cute together and I love this relationship so much.
Favourite companion banter: it’s got to be Sera and Dorian in Dragon age Inquisiton! I always have those two in my squad and their banter fully makes me laugh until my face hurts. Especially that conversation about arrows lol.
A relationship you weren’t sure of but you loved: MacCready and Female Sole Survivor. I paired them together not knowing how to feel about it at first but the relationship is so sweet and I love how they work together.
A minor character you wish could be a companion: Conrad Verner in mass effect! He was always like crazy for shep so I could see him doing his best to be like her and he could actually come in handy!
A character you wish you could romance: ive always believed it was a tragedy that Varric wasn’t romance able. LET ME LOVE THE FUNKY DWARF MAN I BEG OF YOU
Fun
Shoutout to a random NPC: Alex from Horta horizon 4? I see you handsome
A game you love watching playthroughs for and want to play: I’d love to play GTA V role play! I play normally with my mates but I’d love to do a proper role play like CallMeKevin!
A game you love watching playthroughs for but would never play: Until Dawn. It’s fun to watch but I hate playing horror games so I’d never play it.
Online gaming or solo: Solo all the way. I hate playing online because the games are never about the story and I’m all about that story baby!
Why do you play video games: because it’s a great way to distract me from everything going on in my life and I’m passionate about these games so I love to spend my time playing them.

simmer - get to know
by @cupcakegnome
i was tagged by the amazing @whyhellosims and couldn’t pass up on this awesome opportunity to allow yall to get to know me a bit better! 💖
your name: I went on discord a few years ago for some sims help and just named my account Figaro after my favorite horse without really thinking about it... then I actually got hooked on discord and my friends started calling me Fig, so... fig it is! here’s the real fig, though, for those who are interested:
Tumblr media
hes more amazing than i could ever dream to be.
languages you speak: dutch, english, german (i'm gonna go as far as to say dutch and german are mutually intelligible, and tho this gives a bit less of an incentive to actually learn german when germans will understand ur dutch just fine, it also makes learning german significantly easier). I tried to learn greek but even after years and years i just couldnt get past the alphabet LOL. the only greek I know are the bits and pieces I learned from my time spent there, but id have 0 idea how to actually spell that stuff out.
are you a mermaid: if only!! i do feel a very strong connection to water, though—my dad built his own sailing boat and traveled the world with it, and during his travels me and my sis been visiting a lot, living on his boat with him while we did
your play style: so, so story-driven... even when I tell myself I just wanna play the game without a story for once I end up with one by the end of my play session anyway.
your selfsim picture:
Tumblr media
stories or gameplay, builds, lookbooks, edits or cc: I do stories most of all, but also like regular gameplay, my stories will for a very large part be game-driven, and from time to time ill post some builds. ive done a lookbook too. basically the only thing that wont have too much of a focus on my blog, despite my using it, is cc
your favorite age state: YA
your favorite season: winter
your favorite holiday: talk like a pirate day!
how was your day: actually absolutely terrible LOL. hungover, lost my temper on both a customer as well as a coworker... at least i got through it. 😂
your favorite career: admittedly, I rarely actually play careers cause my sims are way too busy or too dumb to actually be able to go there. if I had to choose any, though... I might actually go with the military
your favorite aspiration: the one that the most of my sims have completed is Friend of the World, cause I like for my sims to be sociable so it doesnt take too much effort to complete it anyway, and the reward of relationships never decaying is great
your favorite EP, SP or GP: vampires will always hold a special place in my heart, but I also absolutely love strangerville! if I had to choose any one favorite, id go with that one.
how old is your simblr: I posted some stuff in march last year but havent been active since, like, november? december? something like that
have you woohooed: yes
your favorite skill: charisma, cause theyll develop it automatically as I play
the size of your mods folder: 2.77 GB
your 3 favorite mods: mc command center, npc control, and personality please (links) are the three mods i absolutely couldn’t play without
your interests (other than sims): writing, dancing, creating (i love things like character creation), horse riding & anything involving animals, really.
your favorite sim (picture if possible): this is actually incredibly difficult for me cause im not sure i have 1 favorite. a lot of sims of mine will always hold a special place in my heart. my favorite sim to play fluctuates a lot... but god, if i had to choose any favorite sim whom i really completely made through sims and who was not a non-sims character already precious to me turned into a sims character.... itd probably be tika. hes an asshole but man, do i just love him and especially his story.
Tumblr media
which Sims games you have played (including mobile games): the sims 1, 2 and 4
propose a crazy scheme: the sims community actually coming up with some GOOD sims 4 qualities for once
best part of simblr: the amazing people I got to meet on here!
worst part of simblr: hmm... though i feel its much much less toxic than places like youtube or even the official forums, there is still some negativity here sometimes
what other games you play: im kind of a noob with other games, honestly. I used to play a whooole bunch of horse-related games (am a total horse girl), and I played the battle for middle earth (also looove me some LOTR). used to go to my childhood best friend's house to steal her brother's xbox and play gta iv on it, and I bought gta v for myself but sadly, I suck too bad at games to actually progress any with it
other websites or accounts (origin, twitter etc..): im on wordpress (here). i also mod a sims-based, lgbtq+ discord server called simsclub
are you single: very happily so, yes.
im tagging @wesunnysimmer, @nyteroseshadowthorn, @amuhav, @chaosxsims, @silverspringsimmer, @polishsimmersblog and well, uh... basically anyone that wants to do this! feel absolutely free to ignore this if you dont want to.

Bully, a game review
(Disclaimer: The following is a non-profit unprofessional blog post written by an unprofessional blog poster. All purported facts and statement are little more than the subjective, biased opinion of said blog poster. In other words, don’t take anything I say too seriously.) Just the facts 'Cause you're in a Hurry! Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP): 14.99 USD How much I paid: 36 USD (10 for the PS3 version and 15 for the Steam Version and 11 for the PS4 version while it was on sale). Rated: T for Teen How long I played: 10 Hours on PC while 2 hours on the PS4 version. Microtransactions: None! What I played on: PS3, PS4 and PC Performance Issues: Bully might be one of my favorite games and it might be one of the WORST PORTS EVER! Holy Shit! If the PS3 version isn’t bogged down with glacial framerates, it has pixelated graphics which are not done service on HD. (The PS3/PS4 versions are merely upscaled and have not been updated). The PS4 version runs much better with no crashes, but has been upscaled rather than remastered. The PC version, while looking better, constantly crashes and will inevitably result in lost progress as you must save manually at specific locations. And of course, that cursed plague returns, as Bully’s PC version is locked at 30 frames per second. My Personal Biases: Bully was one of my favorite games growing up during the PS2 era. So, I’ll probably be biased toward this game. CAVEAT: Bully comes in 2 versions: The original game and the Scholarship edition. The Scholarship edition contains all the content from the original game and adds features such as additional classes/mini-games, more outfits and extra story missions not found in the base game. I believe the anniversary edition is the same as the Scholarship edition only it’s released for mobile phones. (I could be wrong) Please be aware which version you’re getting. My Verdict: There’s no denying that Bully is at times juvenile, immature, naughty and that favorite word, problematic. But, if you can look past the surface, you can see, much like the protagonist Jimmy Hopkins, there’s much more underneath the surface. Buy it! Bully, a game review
Tumblr media
youtube
"So here I am, at probably the worst school in the country, whose alumni are nothing but arms dealers, serial killers, and corporate lawyers. Real scum. And that old creep thinks he can tame me? We shall see, my friend. I only give people what they have coming to them." — Jimmy Hopkins I don’t know how I can describe Bully in a way that fascinates me and makes it so near and dear in my heart. I was never really a Grand Theft Auto fan. Even, when I was old enough to legally play the game, I always felt detached from the main characters. It wasn’t until GTA IV came out that I really fell in love with the story, only for GTA V to come out and make things go back the way they were. Bully was released during a controversial period in the United States. When Jack Thompson was legislating heavily against game developers and video games violence, Rockstar was releasing Bully, a kid version of Grand Theft Auto. Early footage shown at E3 showed the protagonist doing heinous crimes like giving other kids wedgies, putting a kid’s head in the toilet and defying authority. Parent groups were outraged and a debate occurred whether the game went too far. The end result? Probably one of my favorite games of all time. Jimmy Hopkins is a 15 year old delinquent being sent away by his cold-hearted, gold digging mother and her fifth husband. Jimmy, having been expelled from multiple schools faces his last chance at the boarding school of Bullworth Academy. After he’s dropped off, he soon meets Gary Smith, an intelligent student who might not have the best of intentions, and Pete Kowalski, a shy boy who can’t even make friends with the geeks. Jimmy plans to get the bullies off his back and rule the school by taking out the Bullworth Cliques, the nerds, the Preps, the Greasers and the Jocks. But as Jimmy helps his fellow students (and a dysfunctional staff member or two), he learns that Gary doesn’t have his best interests in mind. What’s interesting about Bully is that Jimmy, unless dictated by the player, isn’t usually inclined to cause harm. Rather, he attempts to get payback from the various cliques who do cross his paths. (There’s been a long standing rumor that says that Bully changed its story and premise after the reaction from E3, changing Jimmy from a villain protagonist to more of an anti-hero). A lot of the criticism the game received was how small the world was and how limited Jimmy’s actions are, compared to the ground breaking Grand Theft Auto 3. Jimmy won’t be able to steal cars or kill any NPC’s. Instead, he can commit petty crimes such as shooting people with his slingshot, tagging on walls or pranking people he comes across. The delinquency meter shows the various amounts of trouble Jimmy can get into. Should he commit minor crimes such as being out of uniform or ditching class, he’ll be in minor trouble. But, violence against students, disrespecting authority or trespassing into the girl’s dormitory will send the local authorities (Prefects and teachers while in school, police officers out of school) after him. If Jimmy gets caught, he’ll be sent to the Principal’s office. Detention consists of mini-games such as using the school mower to mow lawns. But, there’s a benefit to attending class. Should you go to class, you’ll be treated to a mini-game. Completing a course will earn you benefits in the outside game world. For example, passing chemistry class allows you to make have a chem set in your room where you can create ‘weapons’ such as firecrackers, while going to English Class helps you apologize to authority figures for committing various crimes. My favorite is Art Class, where in the bonus is being able to get an extra bar of health when kissing girls. Should Jimmy complete all of his coursework (that is to say, finish all 5 difficulty levels of the mini-games), he’ll be excused from class be given free time. But it’s not all schoolwork and Frenching cheerleaders. There’s a variety of mini-games in the world such as Boxing, bike races, Carnival Games and of course, a huge number of collectables found throughout the game. If Jimmy’s strapped for cash, he can always take up a paper route. The strangest thing about Bully is that it’s a very small game. Even games like Grand Theft Auto III had a variety of environments and locations to explore with its small size. But Bullworth Acadmey and the town of Bullworth are small to explore. It creates a sense of intimacy. I can’t get lost in the world of Bullworth but I can become so intimate that the NPCs become familiar to me. That’s something special a lot of games don’t do. I’d rather have the familiarity of Bully over the vastness and at times emptiness of the Grand Theft Auto games, especially the modern ones. I should mention that the composer for the game, Shawn Lee, gave some of the most memorable music I’ve heard this side of some of the best soundtracks. Where Grand Theft Auto had licensed songs from various artists, Bully only has an original soundtrack, but it’s so alive and varied that I caught myself listening to it again and again.
youtube
youtube
Tying it all together is Gerry Rosenthal as Jimmy. While it’s great to hear familiar voice actors, such as Martin Mull as the Headmaster, Rosenthal’s performance just manages to combine that weird teenage angst that makes the main character so relatable. Kudos to him. What really sold me was the story. I surprisingly found myself relating to Jimmy’s struggle to get through his school days and how he acts and reacts to the world around him. While Jimmy is no saint or perfect student, it does show that the world Jimmy inhabits is a flawed, corrupt and outright dirty society. All the cliques that Jimmy faces, whether it’d be the classist preppies, the posturing Greasers or the testosterone-filled Jocks, are shown to be bullies but in different ways. Meanwhile most of the adults and authority figures are two faced hypocrites. When Jimmy sees his gym teacher trying to sneak dirty magazines out of a pornography store, it becomes apparent why Jimmy doesn’t have any respect for authority. At the same time, I found certain NPCs not only memorable but also rather likable. There’s something about Jimmy helping out the strange homeless man in the Junkyard or spitting food with Edna, the lunch lady, that brings a smile to my face. So while the game holds up in terms of mechanic and I still find the characters and story charming, it pains me to say this has some of the worst ports to date. The PC version constantly crashes. I don’t know who was responsible for it, but given the number of crashes I experienced (as well as the frustration having to save your progress manually), I nearly broke my screen in frustration. Worse yet, Bully is locked at 30 Frames Per Second. The PS4 remastered version is more playable, but only features the vanilla version of the game. Closing thoughts: There’s a lot to say about bullying, the role of bullies and how our society now views bullies. And while I can’t comment on Jimmy’s reactions to the various groups of the schools will look like 50 years from now, I will say I had a blast firing my slingshot, riding my bike and getting into as much trouble with Jimmy Hopkins. It’s not what a game is about, it’s how it’s about it. Verdict: As long as you don’t get the PC Version, go buy it!

Full Game GTA IV is mega
I was raised in the era as Grand Theft Auto was mostly contraband. In 2003, my close friend also I pitched in to buy a reproduction of Junior Area also assigned it amongst one another, out of the eyesight your parents, whom underwent every been driven in a fearful frenzy in posts with USA Now about the game’s prostitution and chaotic propensities. Grand Theft Auto wasn’t just a game to us yet was there a chief component of your youth, the kind of all-caps MATURE point we encountered as an play of revolution approximately a cool doodad to outdo the time.
GTA IV came at a different moment. I wasn’t still playing games at that point anymore, having forgot the consoles when I attended institution with 2007 in an effort to focus on our studies and become a world-renowned author™. Still, I even got myself drawn to IV, not because it remained the next-gen variety of Grand Theft Auto, but because a lot of this game talk with a thematic evolution i became thinking about. Head-down with books like The Great Gatsby along with The Howl Of Destiny 49, Grand Theft Auto IV’s somber take on finding yourself lost in the bleak tunnels on the American Dream as a bad person while the plush get stupider, crueler, and richer talk to me. I finished countless hours on the friend’s Xbox 360 to complete the game, eagerly playing through the sad account of Niko Bellic.
Tumblr media
You’ve probably read a hundred hot holds in GTA IV and The National Dream. You can turn now for my side of this if you want, but I must focus on anything unique for this part. IV excels when it comes to building something happens exceptional for open-world up for: a thematically unified event that control when it comes to telling a story while also respecting the person is an independent inhabitant of that world rather than a passenger. The way to GTA IV resolve which is there to this highlights the heaviness.
Driving is (forgive us) a loaded word. There are obvious examples of heavy, when it comes to physical weight. Something – a carrier of stones, the anvil – is deep. There is and the thematic form in the term, of course; to say great is deep is to about it is weighing you lower emotionally, it’s depressing you. Grand Theft Auto IV has systems in place both at home moment-by-moment gameplay along with the plot that embraces both of the.
Since the narrative's emotional weight is attractive clear for anyone who’s played Grand Theft Auto 4, let’s mention the gameplay concepts, like physics. Grand Theft Auto 4’s physics are paradoxically unique in they display a https://gtadownload.org surprisingly eloquent take on awkwardness. Everything feels like they have a defined pounds in GTA IV that gets this down. Niko walks without elegance, always a victim of her own lack of balance. Sometimes someone can brush past him or a car will gently touch him, then torture fall over awkwardly. Cars become a extension of that. Even the sooner convertible vehicles turn much more slowly than they would in a racer or another Grand Theft Auto game. To call up them tanks would be exaggerating, but they’re not nimble.
youtube
In Grand Theft Auto 4, gunfights feel similarly unique. Plenty of action games make use of destructible cover but there’s something about the seriousness on the globe which makes it feel well in a special way. Taking cover behind a car during a struggle with the police may lead to the vehicle slightly spring when rounds strike that, the goblet above you will break and fall you as bullets hole in. Melee combat is clumsy but visceral, with Niko's brutal pistol beat involving a enemy coming round the turn creating a combination of pressure with wonder. The prolonged delivery of the transfer and also the enemy's stagger backward keeps the opening for you to kill them away from, and it is surprisingly and uncomfortably intimate.
People rightfully realized that the ragdoll animations and even measure of the gunfight action substituted for Grand Theft Auto V, with enemies sticking out all over and their bodies reacting in new of your “lower down” sort of approach than IV’s mixture of prolonged and falling animations. IV’s kills are shifting because of the understanding that V trades away for its scope and variety meetings. Where V is consistently putting you into the kind of action sequences you’d view into Run with Vision Impossible, IV’s gunfights often occur within squalor. The immediacy of nailing a drug dealer’s eyeball round the turn in the ratty slum’s hallway with a blind fire from the pistol and look at their brain drive back touching the side is much more frightening (also appealing) than V’s approach.
The divergence between the two sorts of assault makes sense if you think about the composition they're aping. V is the termination of Rockstar’s love affair with the pictures of Michael Mann (Thief, Heat). The action is breezy and fulfilling, with the screen briefly fly to enable you know if you kill somebody.
Tumblr media
Notice the elements here. There’s a lot of remaining on the injuries, blood splattering on the window, the element from the vehicle slowly step before to deviate with the parked one, the topics. There is no zipping present with scores. This sort of storytelling places emphasis not on frantic action but instead about the thought that it violence is produce the emotional with pure effect on the world. Cars move. Glass shatters. People moan in agony.
Grand Theft Auto V take these air, like grass collapse and mortality moans, but they're minimized due to the high production surveys plus the waves of enemies that come after you while Tangerine Dream’s beautiful score show in the family. It shape a fence among a person with the violence. Yes, it is entertainment. Don’t worry, you’re just engaging in a cassette game of which stays mimicking that case blockbuster you understand past summer.
IV has very little in the way of such artificial barriers. There is no soundtrack to camouflage the cries in the guy you just appeared while he ask someone nearby to see their girl he care for her. The violence is shifting and often cruel, helping turn Niko Bellic in a complex character, an individual with fine class that however commits heinous steps that will result in fall and go through upon countless people.
Niko’s emotional damages and suffering from a crazy, adolescent betrayal have left him incapable of understanding the world when everything apart from a mercenary for hire – someone capable of spin off of their experiences to harm people for notes. The technique in GTA IV, particularly when it comes to physics and activities in combat, stress that just as much because history does. Every bill of assault is mired in the throes of creative realism, with personality models fall again, while the world erupts close to people in a slow but tell respect which reason the theatre of Niko's story.
Tumblr media
Of course, a lot of these variations probably be beyond the world of creative intent. GTA 4 was Rockstar's first real attempt to grip with the RAGE engine on the massive amount, so the awkward physics and clunkiness of beat is very likely a result of that than any intention. However, at the end with the period, you have the part of art and intent only concern to some point. It doesn't matter if Grand Theft Auto 4's physics are accidentally compelling or a mistake, they're still fascinating and immersive storytelling props.
Storytelling in activity is unfortunately often seen in terms of traditional story. "The design then the makeup become clear." However, I think this worth paying attention to the elements away from that. Just like the actor creates a person on the script alive regarding a flick, the specialist matter that you could not value with opening view (like how physics weigh on a appeal and identify the tether to the earth) is often key in making that lie what it is in the first home. The worst thing that could ever happen to GTA 4, outside of being removed from gap with age, is a remaster that enhance the gunplay then makes up the qualities animations more attractive. To do that would puncture Rockstar's disturbing yet compelling portrayal in the National Dream.
Yes, GTA 5 is a substantial practical and artistic achievement that dwarfs IV in terms of articles with satisfying activities to do. Next Vice Urban and III were both incredible sports to made much to alter the way. However, IV remains an important GTA to me since it’s a high-budget game produced by the most successful developers to goes all-in by developing a great knowledge on wandering, sympathetic souls doing bad things also getting hard alternatives to survive a dingy, despairing world.
IV is not without their catches. The produce is problematic in some places, particularly some homophobic and misogynistic sections that touch juvenile rather than provocative, and Oh My Spirit I Ignored How Severe The Checkpoint Scheme Is. But, IV's ambitions and performances upon those goals, are still unmatched by nearly any other game away there near my own measure. Epic in range and bitter but humanistic, IV lives beyond these topics as a new classic in a way that the other GTAs just don't.

Grand Theft Auto V Is 720p, So Select Th.
The most extensive, spolier-free testimonial of GTA 4 you'll ever before find: get to know the differences because GTA: San Andreas, and exactly what to expect when you pack up GTA 4 for the first time. Maintaining its unrivaled legacy, GTA 5 adds countless dimensions to its fundamental gameplay to give you an all-around, awesome and remarkable experience. Since of the two times as great better graphics than on PS3 and also you have more to select from in video game categories than on PS3, you pay on Xbox. GTA 5 outrageously portrays a dark-comedy concerning the completely killed American Dream. Online pc gaming has ended up being to big i love jus playing single gamer or with a good friend. PS3 has games for generally simply the youngster games as well as the household not battle and also battle games as well as many people delight in. Visualize you are waiting to play your game when all of a sudden it quits, ps3 not at a lllllllll. There is constantly that xbox does not have as several mistakes and also has far better exclsive video games yet ps3 has far better graphics, complimentary online,HD,blu-ray, cheaper video game prices so in overall it saves a lot of money due to the fact that yo need not buy a blu-ray there!!!! I assume the ps3 is better since you can play blu-ray and also you can play online absolutely free. I assume that PS3 Is a little bit better compared to xbox due to the fact that you get exclusives such as GOW and also LBP and also it has complimentary online. My ps3 is being in my wardrobe because its pointless, no one intends to get it, and the online is so unresponsive and also laggy. Similar to any type of GTA video game, you could feel you are doing some foolish objectives at first, but they are all crucial to exactly what is to come soon. I concur with randomhero online with ps3 isn't really even worth stating its the worst online ive ever played on. oh yeah brickwall you can't discuss controlers mate the triggers on a ps3 cannot even be pulled back effectively. So also if it has a much better online experience or more people, a great portion are mosting likely to imitate individuals below. Newsflash free Web dualshock3 and we have way far better games uncharted fight royal I believe god of war oh and sly cooper games and by the way we released the ps4 before the 720 and Microsoft is such a slowed down bitch they have to wait and also see exactly what they can do far better. Ps3 gay/ps3 individuals gay/ whatever that associates with ps3 ... ... GAY/ were ps3 gaming consoles are acquired and also liked ... ghetto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS3 is for noobs believe me. Since they either had a PS or PS2 in the past, individuals sustain PS3. We additionally play assassins creed the has far better control systems on the ps3 thean the xbox. All you sick hampers out there that think xbox is betr u all r just jealous becuz u know ps3 is the betr selection so get over it fuckers! Im tired of people stating that online is cost-free ... ps3 online is cost-free reason its well worth that much essentially its crap. I need to give my ballot to PS3 just because most of the idiotic comments are originating from Xbox users. Yet only undiscovered and also god of war passion me. Besides that I would never lose my money on a playstation item once again. You need to spend for online on the xbox (which completely impacts) and also the graphics are outright shit! GTA 5 successfully presents a dark comedy, which is an action-packed, thrilling and captivating experience on its own.

Grand Theft Auto, I’m pretty sure we all know the one. Grand Theft Auto is the vastly developed, long-timed series that combines the subtle features of sandboxing, driving, shooting and adventuring. Many kids wish to play this because it feels so cool to do whatever you can.
The many many releases behind, here comes Grand Theft Auto 5, or should I say GTA V. I personally didn’t feel an urge to get it but as soon as the hype intensified near the release, I didn’t have a choice but to buy it as well.
Grand Theft Auto V was released on 17th of September 2013 on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. This was the first disappointment for the large audience of PC players. The enhanced version is to be released on November 18th 2014 to Playstation 4 and Xbox One, but the PC release got delayed once again not earlier than April 2015.
Story: Classic Grand Theft Auto style plot, but with protagonists getting in deep with each other and also with the rest of the world. The idea of a prologue and history in characterwise was refreshing.
It all begins with the prologue of M, T and B robbing a local bank in Ludendorff, North Yankton. This concludes B and M getting shot. B (Brad) becomes arrested and T (Trevor Phillips) running for his life as more and more law officers show up. M (Michael Townley) ends up faking his death and changing his persona to Michael De Santa. He moves to the big city, Los Santos with his family and leaving his old crew.
In Los Santos, San Andreas (The smallest state there ever was) we get introtused to a new character, repo-jobbing Franklin Clinton. Franklin gets to know Michael. As Michael begins to dream the big money once again, he begins to run some big operations and comes back together with some old friends. Trevor finds out Michael is indeed alive and when he gets his hands on Michael, wouldn’t he want to become a part of the scores. GTA V is first in the series to present multiple playable characters.
Meet Franklin: Franklin Clinton is the ‘reasonable’ one of the trio. He is the one that gets the “This ain’t right” feeling but still is as criminal as the other two. He is often pressured to choose between his downtown homies and his new crime partners. Franklin is introduced at the very beginning after prologue. If you are not familiar with the idea of three playable characters, switch between characters at the very beginning may confuse you. I know it was confusing to me.
Meet Michael: Being the father of a good-for-nothing fat gamer son, Jimmy and the "doing-anything-for-fame" daughter, Stacey, the life at De Santa resident is no ordinary life. Not even mentioning about his cheating wife Amanda, no wonder Michael is so cold hearted. But deep inside, he wants good for his family. Michael De Santa is the planner and the initiative member of the crew. His profit-lust makes him un-retire and get back into business. Not spoiling anything (though everyone has already played through this game) but Michael could've been better off without ever meeting up with Trevor, they got some complicated history.
Meet Trevor: Now this guy is nuts. He has some problems comprehending with people and often just killing anyone in his way, especially business rivals. He runs a company, the ‘Trevor Phillips Industries’ which is mostly drug and firearm deliveries by planes. Assisted by Ron and Wade, Trevor has made multiple enemies across country and has become a public enemy. Does he care none? No. Trevor seems to have a thing about screwing anyone. You might find him doing some private stuff with almost anybody. He cherishes all women possible and can be a sensitive person, especially when it comes to his mother. Otherwise he’s pretty obliged on harassing everyone, both physically and mentally. When switching to Trevor, you might find him in some absurd scenarios, like waking up with a hangover wearing nothing but his underpants on a beach with a dozen bodies.
Gameplay: You'll sink countless hours into this masterpiece, but nothing is perfect. Some things were better in earlier entries in the series. Grand Theft Auto V was the first game in the series that really felt like a true open-world game.
There’s just so much to tell about this game, both good and bad. My opinion is that this game was a little too hyped because even though it’s an amazing game with a lot of play hours to enjoy, there were some disappointments and just from the amount of excitement everyone gave into it, i expected a little more.
To me, this game focuses too much on shooting people and driving around. There is a beautifully designed nature environments out there, Rockstar didn’t utilize this. Sure there’s a couple of missions and other past-time hobbies there but the way I see it, it’s kind of a waste of some good work. It just isn’t done so like you want to spend time there in the wilderness. It’s all in the city life. But this is the feature Grand Theft Auto has had in it the whole time so I don’t know if it’s a good or a bad thing. I just wished more from Blaine County.
The wanted star system is a very good advancement, but has some irritating issues. For example, imagine a situation where you leave your character idling and there happens to be a cop nearby. So what, right? No. If you stare at a cop for some time, you get a star. Well then, you immediately think of escaping. When you start running away, you get an another star. Driving away you find out that it begins spawning cops possibly right in front of you. This sucks because when you get out of their sight, they get a “sight cone” which indicates their vision. And the evading time is something ridiculous.
For once, the game makes it difficult to evade stars if you're on the move, so if there's a bit more heat going on, you're stuck to hiding in alleys and other shady areas. In a game like GTA, you would want to get rid of the lawforces quickly. This is not possible because it’s takes the minimum of about thirty seconds to evade even one star. It sounds like such a short time, but when you are just trying to play and you keep getting those wanted stars, you find yourself hiding quite often just trying to get the cops off of you. Most ridiculous one is when you have high enough wanted level to get chased by helicopters, if you are on a helicopter yourself, evading the stars gets close to impossible. They keep spawning right in front of you and don’t ever stop. If not for the city skyscrapers, evading those pilots would be impossible.
The driving mechanics are one of the best there is. I remember the first times playing, driving was just so satisfying. I don’t mean it’s not still, but you get rather familiar with it. Collision detection and car crashes make the vehicles too heavy in my opinion. You could crash a car going 200 km/h and it would only slide for about ten metres. I don’t mind really, but it’s so different compared to earlier Grand Theft Auto entries, like San Andreas and Vice City. In those games you got the satisfaction of making an NPC car blast off when you hit them.
There are many activities and games other than going through the storyline or terrorizing the city in free mode. There are tennis, yoga, taxi driving missions, darts, going to the movies, playing golf, call and hang with your friends, hunting, the rollercoaster and ferris wheel, collecting hidden items all around San Andreas, doing tasks for strangers and freaks, parachuting, racing by land, sea and air, taking the flight school, surfing the web, walking and playing with your dog, taking rides in a taxi, submerging and scuba diving.
As you can see, there are quite a lot of stuff to do other than missions. Only one problem, most of these are just plain boring. I mean, come on, yoga? And it’s always the same thing. Where are the vigilante and other emergency missions? How about the arcade machines from San Andreas?
In GTA V, you can get drunk, but they removed the ragdoll effect. You can’t do much on the internet. Street Racing gets kind of pointless when you have Franklin’s ability to slow time, of course this is depends on the player. I loved how in GTA 4 (IV) the taxi drivers, if you told them to hurry up, they did. The amusement park contraptions are the worst. Parachute jump doesn’t give me the intense daredevil feeling like it should, but parachutes are really neat generally.
They could have made the underwater world more useful, because I’m loving it! The secrets down there, all those sunken ships and planes in the bottom. There’s quite a few easter eggs below the surface, too. The biggest disappointment was that there’s no sea monster. It would have been awesome when you wander off too far from the island and you hear some crumbling in the distance. Next thing you know, there’s an enormous whale eating you alive. Just writing this gives me the chills, but it’s just my fantasy. The underwater world is not used properly enough, only major purpose is when submerging in two different missions and collecting submarine parts and nuclear waste. That’s pretty much all there is to it.
Graphics: As of 2013, hardware limitations restricted this game from being the most realistic-looking video game up to date! Even today, the graphics are still stunning.
First of all, what I’d like to point out is that the AMOUNT OF DETAIL in this game is incredible. The houses, all the small stuff everywhere. If you were to seach every little detail in San Andreas state, be sure to say good bye to all your relatives. Must I say, this game probably has the best looking explosions to date. I just feel like I'm just saying the same thing over and over again, but my point is that the game is very well made and I tip my small tophat to the leading art team.
Soundtrack: Classic thing for Rockstar to include a bunch of in-game radio stations with licensed songs. The game itself includes incredibly high quality sound effects and voice acting. Being a multi-million company, that's no surprise.
Not much to say about the music in GTA V. There’s pretty much something for everyone considering the genre-sorted radio channels. The songs picked for this game are not exactly up to date. Of course, due to copyright and budget reasons, Rockstar wasn’t able to include much music from today’s lists, so we’ll have to deal with the old-school gems. I just wish they’d include a feature for one to add their own playlist from external devices.
As usual for high companies, sound effects ranging from vehicles to voice acting is top notch. Much like done in graphics, GTA V is as realistic as it gets (not gameplay-wise).
Cinematics: With Rockstar's large budget, it doesn't matter whether you're watching a GTA V cutscene or an acted scene with real people. Perhaps I'm exaggerating, but I know many people such as myself enjoyed not skipping through the story.
Really I don't have anything to tell you about the cutscenes other than they match the quality of the Last of Us and Metal Gear Solid 4 (or any other MGS for that matter), just to name a few.
Conclusion: 9 out of 10. A must buy game for anyone mature enough to handle the freedom of doing anything without responsibilities. Grand Theft Auto V is really the video game you can do anything in.  I reduced one point on the final score because of the dull activities in this game.
As much as I enjoyed this game, it does not rise over the original San Andreas. It is most likely out of nostalgia, but I feel like San Andreas had more interesting activities and minigames. If you were to combine GTA V's game engine and graphics into San Andreas and somehow merge the two worlds together, that would be the greatest thing ever.
I apologise for the review being rushed, but I really had no time (being the lazy ass I am) and most of this article was written two years ago. I know I really shouldn't be sorry.
Purchase the game on Steam here or search your local video game dealer.
Bob will be back with us on thursday with a little extension review regarding Grand Theft Auto Online. Be sure to check it out! Next monday we'll get back on normal schedule.
