Could you write a head cannon if each brother got kidnapped and how they got kidnapped? (Like hit from behind or chloroform. Ect.) and how long would it take for them to get rescued?

i don't know why but i find this idea really funny?

jameson: bro would fall for the most stupid thing ever and then end up getting himself kidnapped... it would be something like getting lured into an ally and then they would hit him across the head. honestly i feel like they wouldn't have him for long because everyone would immediately notice that the house was a lot more quiet than usual. everyone would have to team up to find out where the heck he is and then they would send people to get him OR they would just let him go because he got too annoying for them.

grayson: i characterize grayson as a very observant person so to kidnap him it would have to be something sneaky like chloroform or halothane in his water. if they did manage to get him then it would take a little bit longer for people to notice that he was gone (like a day maybe?) because he's always disappearing and being angsty anyway so it wouldn't be much of a difference. eventually nash would notice that no one has seen him and they would go and find him but he would have found his own way out and be out before they could get to him.

xander: this man would be an odd kidnapping because although he wouldn't be too hard to abduct he's like 6'3 so it would be a little hard to drag him around if he was knocked out. but i feel like once he wakes up he would just talk so much that they would want to get rid of him before anyone even realizes that he's gone.

nash: he would put up a fight before they could actually knock him (like i bet he keeps a gun with him at all times anyway) so if they did manage to capture him without being attacked back he would still try and fight them the whole time that they had him. it wouldn't take too long for people to realize that he was gone even though he goes out all of the time. libby would be the one to notice that he wasn't there lol

this was really interesting to make because i had to think about their personalities and what a person would have to do to actually be able to kidnap them. thanks for reading, and if you send a request for headcannons and i don't respond right away i promise that i will soon

The Glass Pawn Update & Ch. 7 Sneak Peek

Hey, guys, I'm sorry this has been taking so long lol. At first, I was just working on an OG story for a contest, and I had two weeks to write it so that took up a lot of my free time 💀 Then life got really rough this past week or so (every Ao3 author has to give that explanation at some point), but it's looking like it might start getting better again. Thoughts, prayers, and crossed fingers would be appreciated!

Anyway, I'm back to TGP and cranking away! I'm about 2k words into Ch. 9. Since that entire chapter is a major plot point (and a scene that I've had planned since before TGP was even a concept), it'll probably end up being one of the longer chapters. If it starts taking too long, though, I'll go ahead and edit Ch. 7 so I can post that for you guys :)

In the meantime, have a sneak peek at Chapter 7: Thud

“Knock them out,” Bishop ordered the scientists. Their hands flew to their keyboards to enter the command into the system. He addressed the soldiers. “Get the turtle out of there.” 

"Yes, sir!" they said, and one of them grabbed her walkie-talkie. 

“Equip your gas masks and arm the cattle prods—” She glanced at Bishop for confirmation. He nodded. Technically, the specialty-made cattle prods’ effectiveness hadn’t been tested yet, but there was no time like the present. Having his approval, the soldier finished, “Extract the turtle on my signal. Over.” 

<em>“Acknowledged. Over.”</em>

“The halothane has been released,” a scientist said off to the side. 

Bishop stepped closer to the window. Though the gas was clear, he imagined he could see it expelling through the vents hidden in the seams of the cell walls. Inside, Leonardo dropped to the floor in a bloody heap. He was unmistakably unconscious, though that was likely more due to the beating than the gas.

“Send them in,” Bishop said.

Had a marvelous conversation with a woman in her late 60s who told me about having to undergo 3 surgeries on her eye in the early 1970s when she was living in Ireland.

Due to an injury while playing her eye had been messed up. Doctors performed 3 surgeries but ultimately had to remove the eye.

She told me that for the first 2 surgeries nurses came to her room with "the machine" and anesthetized her in her bed before "taking her to theater".

She recalled the mask having a "yucky rubbery smell like an old tire" and that she'd been told to count backwards from 10. She claimed to have made it to 11 before "the lights went out"!

For her third surgery (eye removal) she said she was anesthetized in theater by an "old fat fellow who said nothing" and that the gas made her cough.

I dug a little more as subtly as I could but she changed the subject and I chose not to push my luck.

I'm inclined to believe the in-room inductions were high concentrations of nitrous oxide (70%+) since she recalled no other smell.

The in-theater induction was probably straight halothane/fluothane in oxygen at 5% rather than an incremental induction starting at .05% up to 5% with 1% increments every 3 breaths or so. An initially high concentration of halo/fluothane could trigger a cough reflex.

Just my humble opinion.
