in case you want to know what the clark/lex dynamic is like in elliot s! maggin's "the last son of krypton", after another character steals something from lex (that, notably, lex had stolen first), he calls superman and insists on helping him track down the stolen item. superman, naturally, refuses and immediately tosses lex back into prison (which he had escaped from), only for superman to return like, a day later and admit that actually he does need lex's help.

lex then proceeds to throw a tantrum about how he doesn't want to help him before eventually agreeing that fine, okay, he'll help him but this doesn't mean they're friends now so he'd better not get the wrong idea.

I think that jjk would be funnier if everything continued on in canon except for suguru living and so it’s just mimiko, nanako and megumi having to deal with their parental figures being awkward almost-divorces (but they didn’t actually get married which is where the almost comes from) and pulling some ridiculous parent trap shit to get them back together
