It's the plot of so many myths. The best known is, of course, Izanami and Izanagi's story (the whole reason why siblingcest is so popular in Japan. same level of cultural importance as the madonna/whore complex for Christians), but there are also Fu Xi and Nuwa, Sun and Moon gods of the Inuit mythology, a bunch of Greek gods, a bunch of Egyptian gods too iirc.

Old cultures that had god-kings (some dynasties in Egypt and, as we discovered recently, Ancient Ireland) considered marriages between siblings a norm for them specifically and something to be frowned upon or at least unusual for everyone else.

You can't convince me the twins were not god-rulers in some faraway world (they also found it so boring that they don't do it anymore. actually, I'll stand by this headcanon even without shipping them).

Celestial beings that already are one and the same in some sense. Twin stars.

The symbolism just does something to me.

I wish I could say this is not about boring human sex (they are interstellar eldritch beings anyway. merge your photons my funky little sibcons, as Ray says) but nope, I think their interactions can easily take the form of boring human sex too.

Despite what it looks like, I am in fact ocasionally still writing, I just tend to word vomit about my current obsession and then never finish it.^^° So yeah, my last game that I finished was Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest and it made me go insane, so have a part of my 1k monologue that I wrote for a potential time travel fix it. It is only 5 sentences because 6 would have been awkward, but if I ever get to it again you'll get a lot more.

I been in this fandom less than 6 months. I came into it not through the tv shows, movies or comics but through a TTRPG that my Game Master decided he wanted to do. We played a pre war Cybertron political type game. I got assigned to play as Megatron. At this time I seriously had not seen or cared anything about this series, this was my introduction. Our Transformers campaign has had I think 5 chapters (4 to 5 sessions per chapter) so far.

After my GM noticed I was really getting into my role as Megatron cuz i started writing megatron poetry lmfao, he suggested I watch some of the show or read the comics. I watched season 1 of the original series, then saw the movie. Outside of G1 I have only seen season 1 of Transformers Prime. Shipping was an accident. I shipped nothing at all till I was hunting for a piece of fanart my GM used in the game once of Orion Pax and then all the CUTE FUCKING FANART OF ORION AND MEGATRONUS WRECKED ME. My kokoro went DOKIDOKI for the first time in like 10 years and I went to AO3 and read like... almost everything in that ship tag.

so i have two fics going one rn: 1) in the boat purgatory in at world's end, james comes across gov swann and the two have a final conversation together (not using that for this since i haven't done too much but something to look forward to i guess) and 2) bolt's "what if james had a dragon" fic and subsequent discussions and questions has me now doing a "what if hornblower had a dragon" fic so here is an excerpt from that:
