(Not a one shot but over all just headcanons plzz ☺️)
Hello there anon! Thank you for such a cute request <3
While I do love my headcanons I hope you don’t mind a bit of predetermined context as to why the reader left at first!
Missed you more than you know.

♡ - It’s not like you wanted to leave your friends (Leaning more towards found family at this point really), but you wanted to pursue your own goals! And he— well, your lover.. Couldn’t just up and leave with you. He had to attend to his own duties as a mentor!
♡ - Since you were little, you’ve always wanted to travel. You were an artist, and your goal was to draw as much fauna as you could in your quite short life. Wukong had helped you a ton— especially while he was courting you! His gifts were often messily put together flowers and saplings, right at your window! At some point, your small apartment was your own personal nursery.
♡ - But he couldn’t just give everything to you and call your dreams off. You wanted to actually see fauna thriving under the hands of Mother Nature! To not just sketch the specimen but the surroundings as well, the wildlife. You grew warm and fuzzy just thinking of it.
♡ - So after a full year of preparation, you had finally taken your long awaited leave in pursuit of your dreams; Giving your simian one last kiss, you bid him goodbye. The way in which his tail was securely wrapped around your wrist slowly softened in defeat as you turned away.
You knew that if you looked back, you’d never be able to leave.
♡ - Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Romania, Italy, Croatia— and so many other destinations had been just what you’ve been dreaming of. Europe was just as beautiful as you’ve read! If not more so. And one sketchbook had grown to 3, 4 if you cared to count the pages which were half filled.
♡ - And every night (At least every night where he wasn’t busy himself), Wukong would telepathically communicate with you! You just called it spiritual face time and chose to call it a day.
♡ - While you’d ramble about whatever interesting interactions or discoveries you’ve made, Wukong would keep you updated on how everyone was doing. An improvement in MK’s technique, Mei fixing up a new scooter she had found, etc.
♡ - And every night, after you’ve wished each other good night— he’d never forget to mention just how empty flower fruit mountain felt without you.
“I love you,”
“I miss you more every day you’re gone,”
“Your warmth, that laugh, the way your cheeks brighten at my cheesy comments.”
“I wish you were here with me right now. Heh, everyone does.”
♡ - After what felt like an eternity; you were more than satisfied with your work and began heading home! You couldn’t wait to tell him in person everything you’ve accomplished, and just how satisfied you were with your numerous sketches, watercolors, and inked works you’d soon frame all over your abode in remembrance.
♡ - Walking into your apartment for the first time in ages made your heart soar the minute you saw what surrounded you.
Your flowers, shrubbery, and plants had all been taken care of to near perfection. Not a single vine or leaf had wilted since your departure.
♡ - Your partner had tenderly cared for each of your greenery with such pristine care that you thought they even looked better than they had before— blooming bright and beautifully even when it wasn’t in season.
♡ - It seemed like you weren’t alone in the apartment as well, turning your head to see the Monkey King himself finishing up watering your pitcher plants.
♡ - And making eye contact, you noticed the way his jaw hung slack— as if he was being delusional and you were simply a figment of his imagination.
“Hey, hey, don’t overwater it! It’s spilling all over the floor!” You had urgently exclaimed, rushing over to snatch the watering can from his gentle hold and place it on a flat surface.
(It was a ceramic white duck, by far one of your favorites out of the many which were just stashed away in your closet.)
A puddle seemed to have already been made in between you two— but you couldn’t help but giggle in his obvious stupor.
Wukong’s voice was seemingly breathless, speaking in almost a whisper.
“You’re back, for real?”
Before you could even muster a response, you found yourself lifted in the air— then back in his loving embrace.
“I am, Wukong. I’m back.”
♡ - A week had passed, and within it you were more than happy to tell him and everyone else about your travels / experiences. It was practically expected— being gone for so long only leaving so much room for stories to tell.
♡ - What wasn’t expected, however, was the absolute clinginess of Wukong since your return. He hadn’t left your side once if it was in his control. Training and personal duties aside, you never spent more than 10 minutes of free time without being interrupted by his boisterous nature.
“Honey, I’m home!”
♡ - Once, you had to go into the shopping district for produce. The fruits had seemed especially delicious! You couldn’t leave without your mate however, as he had chosen to shape himself into a butterfly just to inspect what you were buying. Totally just that, not like it was anything else!
♡ - You’ve even caught MK and Mei sneaking around you at times where you thought it was just you and Wukong. Not that you could blame them, though. Anyone would be interested if they knew the great sage couldn’t get enough of you, being around you, all that mumbo jumbo.
♡ - Nights were spent either in your own bedroom or on the floor of his shack, coddled by both him and the many other monkeys which called Flower Fruit Mountain your home.
It was the same as always; tail curled around you ankle, an arm snaked around your waist and his soft breathing muffled into your hair.
You whispered into the darkness of your room—
“Did you really miss me that much?”
You didn’t expect an answer so quick to come from his mouth.
“More than you know.”

EEEE IT FEELS GOOD TO WRITE AGAIN! Besides planning of course. I hope you enjoyed!

How would MK, Wukong, Macaque, and the Spider Queen react to an S/O who was isakai’d from another world?
MK:
Tumblr media
- What- How- Who- HUH!?
-Yeah he's kinda trying to wrap his head around the whole situation, mostly because he was in the middle of fighting Red Son when a portal opened up and shot out this random person right on top of him. He watches you groan in pain and realize you're sitting on top of someone and apologize, looking over at MK in concern: "I didn't kill him, did I!?!"
- He looks at the unconscious demon, to you, and then back to the unconscious demon again: "Nah, he'll be fine! Um...My name is MK!"
- "Hi, I'm (Y/n)- WHAT HAPPENED TO MY HAND!?"
- You kinda start freaking out and he has to calm you down by taking you back to Pigsy's for some noodles! When you explain your side of the story, he's kinda confused still but being the kind hearted person he is, he vowed to help you get back to your world.
- Oh no, he catches feels.
- Most likely from you just hanging out with him and becoming a constant presence in his life and you also catch feels because he's not the brightest tool in the shed but he's got a heart of gold and pure intentions. You guys don't notice you're both down bad for each other.
- Idiots to lovers, essentially.
- He wants to confess but he gets nervous about the fact that at some point, you are gonna have to go back to your world and it's gonna be heartbreaking for everyone.
- But on the other hand? Wouldn't he feel even worse if he didn't at least try to shoot his shot and NOT constantly be haunted with the thoughts of what could've been?
- He doesn't think of that himself, Mei has to bring that point up and he decides that yeah, that's a valid point. So he confesses to you, a bit nervously but he tried and that's what counts.
- And you accept his feelings with open arms, and reveal that your feelings were mutual as well.
- Does this mean he's gonna stop finding ways to get you home? No absolutely not. Because it'd be selfish of him to keep you here when you've got friends and family that totally miss you (and he can't blame them, you're AWESOME). But he can't exactly leave his world because he's got duties as the Monkie Kid. So he thinks of ways of how you guys can still be together...after all, it'd just essentially be a long distance relationship just...between worlds!
Sun Wukong:
Tumblr media
- Okay, yeah, he's been alive for a rather long time, and it's not exactly his first time having to save someone falling from the sky but it's certainly the first time they're from a completely different world.
- Mostly because you sorta freak out and not in a good way where you're fawning and stuff but like, in a: "Sir, I beg your pardon, but are you a human sized monkey riding on a cloud??"
- He genuinely does wonder if the dieties in the Heavens are behind this and after confirming their not, he has even more questions.
- With that being said, he finds you quite interesting and your situation rather entertaining. Just because of how unique it is and yeah, he may be retired, but one can't simply retire from a hero so he lets you know that he's gonna help you get home!
- It's an awkward development for sure. He's trying to get know you and you're trying to wrap your head around this new world and that your newest friend is the fabled Monkey King who fought the Buddha.
- He does introduce you to MK and the Team, who you get along with great but you do end up kinda preferring Wukong's presence over theirs. You weren't really sure why, maybe it was just because the way he spoke was so reassuring and calming that it gave you hope that you'd get back to your home with his help. Not to mention that once you get over the fact he's a monkey, you start to love it about him.
- Especially when you're just hanging out next to him one day and he stretches before laying his head on your lap and you giggle but kinda start petting him, he looks a bit taken aback by the contact that you almost stop but then he gives you a big grin and makes it clear he enjoys it.
- You guys just sorta melt into a relationship, it wasn't just a sudden realization that he liked you, he just kinda noticed that he liked you more and more and when you asked him out, he was happy to accept your feelings.
- You know what is a sudden realization to him, though? The fact that you might have to go at some point. Everytime you longingly stare out at the distance thinking of your family, everytime you try to tell him a funny story of your friends only to trail off because you remember that they're not with you anymore is a reminder that he made a promise to bring you home.
- And he still will, don't ever think that his goal has changed. But then he starts getting interested in your world. Asking you questions about what it's like, how you think your friends and family might react to him, etc, etc. and when you ask him why he's so interested, he just casually states he might be considering going back with you.
- Is it a scary idea? Yes but fear has never dettered the Monkey King before and its certainly not going to now. Especially not because he loves you and its been a long time since he felt this way and he doesn't want to give it up. So definetly expect him to kinda put a bit more pressure on MK because if he is gonna leave with you, he would like to leave knowing his own world isn't gonna fall victim to like demons and stuff.
Liu Er Mihou:
Tumblr media
- Macaque, my beloved. Right off the bat he isn't gonna have the purest intentions like MK and Sun Wukong when he first meets you and learns of your plight. He offers his help but only with the intention of figuring out what was so powerful enough or so special about you that you got snatched from your world and into his.
- He's perfectly okay with deceiving people, that's just fact, and he doesn't mind playing up the "misunderstood hero" part for you to get him to trust you more and causes distrust in other people because, in your mind, they just don't understand Macaque.
- He doesn't really consider you remarkable but you're...soft. That's really the only way he can describe you at first. He keeps you in his lair all day and when he comes back, naturally you want to talk to him about his day and he obliges and pretends he's interested in yours but definetly has had his shadows monitor you so he already knows.
- But then he comes back injured from a battle with either MK or Monkey King himself and obviously he expected you to care because as far as you're concerned, he's your only way back home. But when you softly take him into your arms to assess his wounds and try your best to patch them up, he starts to realize that maybe your concern is genuine and that you might actually care for him.
- It confuses him and he soon starts noticing other little things you do that make him think you care: from keeping the lair clean, eager to help him with anything he needed and not even just to help you get back home but because you genuinely feel grateful you found someone as "caring" and "nice" as him.
- And when you shyly tell him you have feelings for him, he is a Rollercoaster of emotions. On one hand, he's happy and starts feeling fuzzy. But then he starts to feel guilty when he remembers it was all an act...but now? This...this changes things. He doesn't accept your confession right away and will excuse himself, making you worry you had just embarrassed yourself and ruined your only friendship in this world.
- But then the next day he apologizes to you and says that he'll happily accept your feelings and that your confession made him realize that he also had growing feelings for you.
- And that was actually true, he does genuinely love you, and he comes to realize it more and more. Its been a long time since he had someone who he genuinely trusted and felt loved by. And now he's torn.
- He will look into ways on how to send you home but he's not entirely sure if he'll let you go.
- Yes, he feels incredibly selfish and guilty but at the same time, so many people have left him in the dark and he's so sick of it. Especially when your cuddled up to him and he admires how your body fits so perfectly with his and wondering how he'd ever lived without your warmth, that he realizes he doesn't WANT to let go of that.
- But at the same time, he does genuinely love you and while you're happy with him: you miss your friends and your family and there are days when he comes back to find you crying and it hurts for him to see. He knows you've grown accustomed to this world but that it isn't the same like your old one.
- So yeah, Macaque cares very much and might end up actually finding out if there are ways to getting you back to your world but whether he'll let you is a question not even he knows the answer too.
Spider Queen:
Tumblr media
- No, ya'll don't understand how much I simp for her- She tries to kill you, first of all. But by some lucky miracle, you manage to tell her about what happened and, well, her interest is piqued to say the least.
- She also is curious as to what power source could have transported you to this world but unlike Macaque, she isn't going to decieve you into trusting her.
-Like she literally tried to kill you but also, considering how she is, she doesn't see any reason too. She's the Queen and she commands you stay with them to learn more about your world and figure out how she can exploit the possibility of taking it over.
- You're scared of her? Good. You should be. However don't think she's a cruel hostess, yes she could keep you in a web but at the same time: Where are you supposed to go? Her servants are (quite literally) crawling all over the place and even then, what's to stop other demons from getting their hands on you? Exactly. She's your best bet when it comes to safety.
- When she asks you about weakness of your world, you genuinely don't know how to respond but you also DON'T WANT TO ANGER HER. So you try to answer with the best of your abilities, which soon leads to conversations about other things. Like you talk of a hero named Spiderman but he is not real? And he's played by a person named Tom Holland?
- Typically she doesn't like getting off topic but with you...she allows it. She isn't sure why. Maybe it's the endearing way you seem excited sharing a random fact about your world that seems important to you, maybe its the way you seem so lively and bright compared to her dreary backdrop she lives with everyday, or maybe she just likes hearing your voice.
- You go from hostage to precious human rather quickly. Unless she's out getting vengance or trying to take over regions, she is by your side.
- Definetly radiates that: "Don't you dare ever talk to me or my (Y/n) again." energy and its usually when one of her servants is a bit harsher with you because you're a lowly human but they soon come to regret it because they're getting one hell of a glare from their queen.
- When it comes to confessions, she finds herself tormenting on how to properly court you. She gives you gifts, adorns you with outfits that compliment hers rather well, and let's herself be a bit more...openly fond of you.
- Claims she isn't afraid of rejection but she actually is. She did try to kill you when you two first meet after all and she never expected someone like her to fall for someone like, well, you. But eventually she does fess up her feelings, after all, she is a very beautiful queen so she highly doubts you'll reject her. Please don't reject her.
- AND IT TURNS OUT YOU DO FEEL THE SAME WAY. Not that she's surprised by any means but its nice to know that you also like her as well.
- She doesn't stop with that "taking over your world" stuff but she insists you'll be ruling it beside her as her lover but, um, once she does find you a way home and she and her servants attack it, there are a few things she'd like to do first. Like for example, figure out what a Spiderman is-

so remember how I said I had ideas for that Howl’s Moving Castle au?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
yeah I went bonkers JSJDJDS (excuse the messy handwriting, if u need clarification for what it says just ask smmssm)
Tang is Sophie, Macaque is Howl, MK is Markl, LBD is the Witch of the Waste (instead of turning to an old woman though she turns into the lil girl), I think I’ll have Lady Iron Fan as the headmaster of magic (I forget the name but I believe that’s what she was called in the movie sjsjsj), Mo is Heen, Red Son is Calcifer, aaannd Wukong is Turnip Head (hehehe Peach Head)
made a few changes to some of it, like instead of a normal curse that’s put on Macaque and Red Son, Macaque had taken some of the Samadhi Fire inside of him while coming across Red Son going bonkers when he was a baby, and so his “monster” form is less bird based and more fire based
the little girl yoinks Macaque’s heart out of genuine confusion and not out of selfishness
MK’s disguise isn’t an old man, it’s his old monkie design
Tang is a worker at Pigsy’s Noodles instead of a hat shop, and finds Macaque while delivering noodles to Sandy, and Yin and Jin are hassling with him and not flirting with him
when Macaque rescues him from Yin and Jin, he mistakes him for Monkie King (which Macaque just chuckles at) and doesn’t realize who he is. he ends up reading up on the Lore with Sandy (who saw him fly in and got him some tea in case he was still freaked out or smth), and is terrified upon realizing its Macaque, who the book says is evil. Sandy’s all like “well he helped you right?” so Tang is conflicted, but overall set on “yea hes evil the Lore says so”
Tang gets caught by LBD after going home to his apartment, finding her there looking for Sun Wukong. Tang is sassy and skeptical per usual, and because he doesn’t turn over the info (that he doesnt even have, but she thinks she does bc she saw him with Macaque before), he curses him as a warning, to show him how powerful she can be. Mei tries to get him out of his apartment that morning (she works at Pigsy’s too) but he plays at being sick. she leaves the building, so Tang is able to slip out easily and head to the mountains to see if he can find Macaque, bc he did help him before, and might know what’s going on
Red Sun turns back into a human(?) after Macaque’s heart is returned, and stays with Macaque and the gang so that Macaque can guide him in controlling the fire himself (and totally NOT because he’d miss them)
Wukong is still well known as the Monkie King and all the lore and stuff with him is basically the same as it was in the series, except the whole “Wukong murdered Macaque” thing didn’t happen, and was a misconception bc they DID know each other as kids, but Macaque disappeared after meeting Red Son, and LBD cursed Wukong WAAAY after that for the lols
also a small detail that I couldn’t illustrate here; Macaque doesn’t start with blonde fur, he starts with white fur! thought that would be a cute nod to that one interpretation of Macaque with white fur, and the fandom’s whole theory that he used to have white fur, but lost it, except that, instead of getting burned or bc he was killed, it’s just cause Tang messed with his hair dye hehe
hope this wasn’t too too much nsjsjs,, I just really love this movie, it being one of my favorites of all time, and ofc when I saw the Inkypages content with it, I got inspired,, I hope it was okay that I took that idea and ran with it like a football,, hehe,, maybe I’ll make a fic out of it! def been thinking abt it, just dunno if I’ll do it yet,,,
og idea by @pechachaos
check them out!!! they’re SUPER talented,,!!

I know that a lot of people want it to be true but if I'm honest? I really don't want Sun Wukong and Macaque's strained relationship to be a result of a miscommunication. Like I think it'd be a huge cop-out from what they're already building up with Sun Wukong. Do I think he actually killed Macaque? No. But I also don't think that their troubles started there. Macaque speaks as though he's harbored resentment for Wukong for a WHILE and for a variety of reasons that eventually all circle back to the kind of friend that Sun Wukong was. As we've seen in the show up to this point, it feels like they're showing us that-- while Sun Wukong is a good person-- he's also INCREDIBLY messy with the way he handles not only problems but his relationship with people too. Not to mention that they keep bringing up how Wukong managed things in the past (i.e. his legacy being built on him being reckless) and how he really hasn't.. changed. S3 had Mei straight up tell him that he doesn't see how he keeps hurting the people who care about him the most. So no it wouldn't surprise me if he really did end up doing certain things that led Macaque to feel like he was nothing more than this Hero's Shadow.
S1 when we first get introducted to Macaque, during the final fight, Macaque makes the statement: “The real Sun Wukong would’ve leveled this whole mountain to try and stop me! but you’re scared because you think you’ll hurt some kid!?” The emphasis on "some kid" makes more sense when you take in the context that they give us during S2 about their past with one another. Macaque and Sun Wukong were friends who fought alongside each other. And if this is the case, then Macaque wouldn't have made a statement like that unless he knew what lengths Sun Wukong would go to in battle even if sometimes that meant putting the people around him in harm's way (and people he cared about at that). Which is why it baffles him that Sun Wukong holds back during their fight because MK is a kid SWK only just met a few months ago. The SWK HE was friends with wouldn't have cared to put HIM in danger.
Then we get Shadow Play where Macaque's whole deal is that he's been watching as MK begins to leave his friends behind. And a lot of this lesson to MK felt PERSONAL. As if he knew what it felt like to be the friend on the sidelines as he watched the hero take on the burden all on his own, forgetting that he has people behind him. Which is what MK was doing. In the Spider Queen episode, as soon as MK saw that Pigsy didn't open shop he immediately freaked out because Pigsy never forgets to do that and thus he comes to the conclusion that he's missing (which he was correct about)! But during Shadow Play, when he comes across Pigsy's closed shop he doesn't bat an eye. He doesn't realize that hey. Maybe my friends didn't ditch me at the theater because why would they have done that in the first place? And I get that MK was going through a lot at the time and was trying to process it, but I get the feeling that it was kind of the point. Macaque was watching as MK followed in Wukong's footsteps and isolated himself to the point where he took it upon himself to be the hero on his own. He has all this power now and suddenly his friends can't help him with that anymore? He's purposefully keeping things from them and Macaque sees this. Because maybe it's the same thing Wukong would do.
And its clear through Macaque's little Shadow Play that Macaque had some insecurities in their friendship based around playing second fiddle to Wukong. He keeps mentioning how Wukong eventually forgot about him or cast him into his shadow. And yet.. Wukong throws this exact thing in his face on multiple occassions. "Aren't you ever going to get tired of living in my Shadow?" Not to mention the hints we get during S3 that further drive home the fact that he fully believes that Sun Wukong is the type of person to cast someone aside unless they were useful to him. And while that might not have been Sun Wukong's intention with whatever actions he took to get Macaque to ride that train of thought, it is still evident that perhaps he has in the past been careless with his friendships.. as he is with MK's group which led them to where they ended up during the S3 finale.
And the last thing I want to point out is the interaction between MK and Macaque as Mei is being consumed by the Samadhi fire. Macaque tells MK that they need to go and MK retaliates stating that he would never leave Mei when she needs him because she's his best friend. Or something along those lines. And Macaque looks on at him like he can't believe what he's hearing. It's almost like "This isn't something I'm used to because this isn't something I was given as a friend". And it's shocking to see this! Which!! further solidifies in his mind what he said to MK during S2 "You know.. you are just that BIT too much like him [Sun Wukong].. buuut its good to see there's SOME potential" because in his relationships, MK will always look to his friends first and foremost. Monkie kid 101 is doing things together and sticking together.
THIS KINDA DERAILED FROM MY MAIN POINT I THINK A LITTLE BIT BUT. BASICALLY. I hope Macaque's resentment does come from like. Actual conflicts with Sun Wukong and not just a misunderstanding. I think it would add to an arc with SWK where he realizes "You keep doing things the same way you always have and it doesn't work out for you. Something needs to change because you've hurt people in the past and you'll continue to hurt people in the present unless you start approaching things differently". You know? It'd be more impactful if we've got more instances from the past where he's clearly messed up but never knew how to grow from it.

How's about Shadowpeach with 10 and 73, specifically with Wukong taking care of Spider Macaque in the Spider Monkie AU?
The ShadowPeach in this fill is pretty vague, so if you don't ship them I think you could still read and enjoy this! I really wanted to just have an introspection from Macaque about what the transformation has done to to him and how much he thinks it had done to Sun Wukong as well.
Stop it! You’re only making it worse!/You’re putting an awful lot of trust in them.
"Macaque?"
"I'm fine, Peaches."
Macaque was not, in fact, fine. In any sense of the word. His back and shoulders ached horribly, deep set into the muscle, aches that stemmed from what he had willingly put his body through. The extra height. The new grown fur.
His extra set of arms, totaling four overall, set below his regular arms that had their own shoulder blades to ache with. No, he was not fine.
Not to mention the headache from his extra eyes...
The fact he was laying face down on a pile of leaves because he ached too much to make it back to any of buildings was a pretty clear sign to anyone passing that while he sounded convincing, as always, he was clearly lying.
“Is there anything you want me to do for you?”
The question made Macaque pause in his musing and look up. It wasn’t as if the offer to help was unexpected, no. Wukong had made it very clear since they reunited that he can and would help in any way possible. It was the way the help was offered. Or, rather, the way he was asking if he could offer any to the ailing demon.
It was... different.
Maybe because now that Wukong went through something similar he could possibly understand a bit more.
It was odd for the dark furred monkey to have to crane his neck to look up at the other now. Sun Wukong towered over... well, everyone. Even Sandy was shorter than the new Spider-Monkey King. The only person who could probably best the other in stature now was possibly DBK, and that was on a day he wasn't using his own magic to shift to his smaller form.
He'd also been granted a third set of arms, instead of the extra eyes that Macaque had to get used to and deal with on a regular basis. But often he wondered if the trade off was worth it...
The places where they matched transformation wise, however, were their fur and eyes. Both had grown a mixture of coarse spider fuzz and soft monkey fur, often times mingling into a warm mixed coat that granted extra protection from the elements. Macaque's black fur had grown a deep purple over his chest and arms, offset by silver bands and stripes in places. Wukong's, on the other hand, became a soft white and a light peach fuzz shade that mixed with his natural deeper fur color. And their eyes each attained a brilling green hue.
Spider Queen once said they shone like emeralds and Macaque couldn't find himself arguing with that.
What he could argue with, however, was the fact that HE got really cool purple markings around his eyes and Wukong's face marking didn't change at all.
So point 1 to him for getting something extra.
Built in eyeliner.
"Mac? Mango?" Wukong asked again, pulling the other from his thoughts abruptly. "I can leave you alone for a bit if you want. Check in on you later?"
Macaque tensed and pain shot through his spine and, for some reason, the thought of suddenly being alone again filled him with dread.
"Can you..." he started slowly, low enough that he was uncertain that the other could hear him. "Can you groom my back for me? I couldn't finish it and..."
He trailed off, to embarrassed to admit that the whole reason he was even in this mess was because he had stubbornly tried to clean the fur on his own back when it had gotten caught on some brush and the stretching of his already painted muscles proved too much for him.
"Sure," was all Wukong said before sitting down beside the other and quietly getting to work.
They sat silently for a while. Wukong doing his best to run his many fingers through only the glossy tangled fur. The coarser fur would require a comb or brush and Macaque douted that the other wanted to even attempt brushing his fur out in this situation.
And while the deep set ache in his spine didn't vanish, the longer he laid there and felt the other working on his fur the longer he relaxed and felt the surface aches slowly dampen themselves.
“What did Syntax say about the next batch?” Wukong finally spoke up as his fingers worked their way through the knotted fur between Macaque’s second set of shoulder blades. Every graze against the skin beneath the fur felt like a new ache, but the touches we so soft and fleeting that Macaque knew the temporary pain would be worth not having to attempt to groom his own back again. “It’s supposed to last longer, right?”
"He thinks so," Macaque said, voice tight but clearer than he expected it to come out. "I know it will. He's never failed me before."
For better or worse.
"Seems like it," Wukong agreed quickly, apologizing as he pulled a stubborn knot just a bit too hard and earned a pained yelp from the other. "You're putting an awful lot of trust in him... but his serums have been working so far so even if everything is guess work he seems to know what he's doing."
“What about you?”
“What about me?”
The reply came so fast that Macaque knew that it was practiced. Said so clearly that even after all this time he knew that the other spider-monkey mutant was hiding something. His actions never ceased, though. Grooming continuing on as if nothing was said, hundreds of years not being dampened by the addition of size or number of fingers in the slightest.
“You can’t expect me to believe that you went through a transformation more drastic than mine so quickly without anythin-”
“Yes,” Wukong interrupted, voice more form and snappy than he has sounded the entire time he was tending to Macaque’s fur and muscle aches.
“You’ve always been a shit liar, you know. That’s my forte.”
Now the movements slowed, not to a stop but noticeable enough to be felt. Not until he finished working through the fur after another minute or so of silence.
"Only to you," Wukong admitted, running his fingers through the finished patches of fur to catch any missed knots. "Apparently I'm pretty good when it comes to others."
"That's because they haven't known you as long as I have," Macaque said, sitting up against the urges from the other to keep laying down.
And the sight before him, closer and clearer in the light than before, proved his suspicions that he'd had since the other's transformation correct in his mind.
Sun Wukong looked exhausted. Not physically, except for the dark bags under his eyes that Macaque could see forming. But his posture and the dull shine of his eyes gave it away. The way he leaned forward and his eyes were half lidded and the way he smiled in that awkward nervous way that showed far too much teeth.
"You've been treating me differently," Macaque continued as he stretched and the pain was worth the light rush of relief from the way the stretch relieved some pressure on his back. "Since your transformation. It's because you know how I feel now, don't you?"
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Stop it!" Macaque snapped, startling the other. "You’re only making it worse, pretending it doesn't happen! Have you even gone to Syntax for any treatment?"
In the back of Macaque’s mind he could swear he heard "hypocrite" shouted at him for the pretending bit.
"... no," Wukong admitted, rubbing the back of his neck with two hands. That wasn't from embarrassment or nervousness, that was from pain. Macaque recognized it from so long ago. "He comes to me, though. Practically throws the stuff at me while insulting me for being too stubborn for own good."
"He's right you stubborn ass," Macaque said with a half chuckle, standing with more than a bit of effort. When he stumbled forward he was grateful that Wukong held out a hand to grab his own and didn't catch him, who knows how much that would hurt. It had when he'd caught him before. "The new batch should be ready, actually. We should go see him together."
Macaque smirked up at the other, hoping he was playing his cards right.
"Besides, I know how much you like proving people wrong."
The loud laughter that resounded through their little patch of forest told him he was still good at playing that little game of chance.
"Alright, yeah," Wukong agreed, smile softening as he held out one of his lower arms from Macaque to hold onto as he walked. "I do like proving people wrong. I'm not too stubborn to accept help after everything that's happened."
"Now tell Queenie that next time we see her so she can stop worrying over you so much," Macaque chided with a laugh of his own as they walked the path to home Wukong had built for the spider demons on his island.
As they walked Macaque felt the soft and firm brush of Wukong's tail against his own and he wrapped his around it. Their tailed wrapped together, twining like rope behind them, and they just had to hope that Syntax wouldn't have a rant planned out for the two of them when they arrived.

Macaque was sitting on a tree waiting for his peaches to wake up as he was wondering, where is Kid? He has not seen all day. He then saw Wukong running out the house looking worried. As Macaque knows that look and as he jumps down as he turns into shadow then appears in front of Wukong. Who just stopped and Macaque saw on the monkey’s faces it filled with fear and worry? Wukong just sighs, “it's about Mk! I heard from Pigsy that he disappeared!” As if Macaque did not hear it right? “What do you mean he disappeared?” Wukong stood there and told him everything.
As Macaque tried to process all these, “Wait! You're telling me, our kid didn’t come back home from his last order that was twenty-four hour ago that means he was missing sent yesterday??!?” He said as Wukong nodded. Macaque looks down as if he has a bad feeling about these. “Will then, come on let go then!” He says as his mate nodded. They arrived at Pigsy's Noodles. Where they found Blaze, Jade freaking out while Pigsy tried to calm them down. But when the pig saw the two monkeys and did not see Mk with them as he sighs. “Great he not even with you two?” He said, as Macaque looked at Blaze who looked worried, as he growled.
Mac grab Blaze by the shirt, “Don’t fucking tell me! That your parents have something to do with my pup disappearing, huh fire boy!” As Blaze stands there and looks down, “I-I don’t know if my parents have him! They don’t even know that I even hang out with them, so it wasn’t them!” He said to black demon. Who just growled then looked at the ground if they did not have his kid then who?? As he saw Wukong talking to Pigsy and Tang. Mei came up to him, “Old men?” She flinched when he glared at her with his eyes filled with anger. “What!” He said until he realized it was his Jade.
“Oh, sorry about that Snarky” He apologizes as he sighs. As she understood what he was acting like, “no it's fine I get it. You are worrying about your kid? Or I mean this is your and Monkey King’s son?” She said as Mac did not even have time to realize he apologized to her and agreed to that question. Then Wukong walked to the Mac with worried faces, “Well?” He asks his mate who just sighs. “I think I know where he is?” He said in a concerned tone as everyone looked at him, as Macaque sighs in relief. Then heard the concern in his voice, “Wait, where is he again?”
Then He told everyone, “Wait, the three brothers of the Young Kingdom?” They all said instep Macaque, who is right trying to think why that idiot wants his kid. Maybe they found who the kid is? Or is he still mad at him for what he did to him? Meanwhile, Monkey King explains who the three brothers are, “There was an old Fairytale called The Tale of The Brothers; There were three brothers, Fujin being elders, Faia being second elders, and finally the third elder, Yami. But soon Fujin and Faia got their own Kingdom. Fujin’s Kingdom name Kingdom of Air and Faia’s Kingdom name the Kingdom of Sun. While Yami’s got his own Kingdom named the Kingdom of Nightmare. While all three brothers were in peace it was not until Yami betrayed them but sealing his two brothers’s soul in a necklace trapping them forever. Giving him the power of Water and Air; for many years, rule over all the three kingdoms.” They all look at each other as Pigsy asks” oh okay I see but would Yami want Mk?”
For food...” a hissed as they all see Macaque, who is leaning against the wall as Jade looks worrying, “Wait, he’s going to eat Mk!!” She said as the two monkeys nodded sadly. “Not exactly?” Mr. Tang said as everyone looked at Tang, even the two monkeys, “I mean yes Yami eat children not their body, but their soul and so they become Daymare for him. What it says, what I really like to find; is that those who become forgotten or worse abandon them. Then they will become Daymares that hunt for powerful emotions. But Daymare will hunt those believers and take away their memory so Yami can use them to feed.” He said as he read out of an old book. Blaze looked at him, “What, why children? Isn’t Mk not a kid, he is a teenager?”
Tang nodded, “yes but Yami doesn’t care if he feels powerful emotion or powerful memory. He will eat those after he is done, they become his puppet. But even so I’m surprised how did you know that Mk was kidnapped by Yami?” He said as Wukong nodded, “I know because what my brother, Zhu Baji over there, told me. He got an order to a valley called nightstone valley,” Mac sighs, “crap that is in Nightmare froest!” He said as Wukong just nodded. As Tang looked at his book until he found a page within Image of three people.
“Let's guess these are the three brothers of the Young Kingdom?” He showed them pictures of one man who looked like the elders of three, his clothing as it looked like a long jacket that had air patterns and tied around his waist. A white rabbit also had brown pants, but it was all a gray and white color. His long hair was silver like air color but as his eyes glow a silver color like air. He skins like normal human skin color and tanned skin.
The second oldest who looked like his older brother but just a different color, his long jacket that had Sun patterns and tied around his waist was a reddish-Orangish rabbit also had brown pants, but it was all red, orange, and Yellow like the sun. His skin like normal human skin color a tanned skin and his hair was a sunrise color but as his eyes glow a sun color.
The Final brother like his other brother his clothing is similar, his long jacket that had moon patterns and tied around his waist was a purple rabbit also had brown pants, but it was all a dark purple and pale purple. His skin like normal human skin color a tanned skin and his hair was amethyst color but as his eyes glow amethyst.
“It also says who they are? Fujin being an elder, is the keeper of air, he is intelligent and brave, a good leader, clever. His main weapon is the twin sword that can cut through the wind or anything. Some say he was the first to make content with humans. That is all out of three; he cares for humans and their safety the most.
Next brother is Faia, he is kind of like his older brother; he is clever but adventurous and good with bow and arrow. His is a strong and hot head being the keeper of the sun. He is known to not hate humans but just dislikes them so that is why his kingdom is filled with many Damon. His main weapon is a bow and fire arrow.
Finally, the last brother, Yami, is known to be loner but also more intelligent and cleverer than his brother. But he is hated by everyone because of him being keeper of shadow and moon. He hated his older brother and everyone because forgotten and was abandoned. So, he trapped his two brothers in a necklace until one day, a demon found the two necklaces and took them. After that Yami became powerless without the necklace, that is why he captured children with memories and powerful emotion so he can use those feelings to create his own army and become more powerful again. It also said his main weapon are these blades that more when he uses his shadow” Tang says as Jade and Blaze look scared for Mac’s kid.
As Macaque hissed as Wukong stood and nodded to Macaque who just walked to his mate. “Will then come on Macaque! You and I are going to pay a visit to King Yami,” He said as Mac nodded. It was not until Mei grabbed Wukong's arm. She looked at the monkey, “Let me and Red son come with you!” She said as Mac growled and Wukong smiles, “Sorry Mei but you two can’t come with us, we need to do these alone,” He said as Red son just rolled his eyes at the demon and Monkey king. “We won't ask because we're going even if you don’t let us!” He said as Mai nodded.
Wukong looked at Macaque; who just smiled and shrugged, “Come on peaches let them come? Not like we can stop them, right?” He said as Wukong agreed with his mate. “Okay fine, but you two have to be careful and listen to everything what - I say, and don't listen to the demon monkey if you really have to,” He said as Macaque just rolled his eyes at him. As then Wukong looked at Pigsy, “Will bring back MK, brother I promise,” Wukong said, as Pigsy just nodded at him. “Okay but first, Mei should need to get ready for these trips because unlike you three who don't have food or anything to live. She does, “He reminds Jade, who was going to say something that made Macaque, her mentor glared at her. As Jade sighs, “Oh okay I will get my stuff ready, let's leave in the evening” she groaned.
Later that evening morning, Macaque just stared at the sky, wondering something. Until he heard someone, “Why didn’t you tell them that I was the one who stole the necklaces?” He asks, as he turns to see Wukong who just shrugged. “Because you have good reason back then also, I helped you get those two necklaces too. Is it also my fault why King Yami has our kid too?” He said as Macaque agreed to that. But memories of last time, it was his fault. He did not want to see that face on his kid. “Ya your right it our fault but how are going to get him back if the kingdom would be guarded if he finds who he is?” As his mate looked down and thought about it.
Macaque was right about that until Wukong thought of something, “Maybe you can send you know, the twin to see how protected the place is?” He suggested as the demon monkey thinks about it then agreed. He smirks at his mate, then, “oh okay, let's use them?” Macaque then stood outside as he waited for a sound then said, “Yin! Yang! Come!” He growled as two demon twins appeared behind him. They seem worried that their boss called them this evening.
“Boss is something wrong?” Yin asks as Macaque looks down, “if I’m right you both know who Yami the king of Nightmare Kingdom?” as the twin nodded to that question. “May I ask why? I thought we heard you're not welcome because what you stole from there?” Yang asks him as Mac looks at the twin and agrees with them. “Yes, but I have too now, my kid is kidnapped by King Yami. So, I need you to go find the kingdom and see how protected that place is. Will you meet you two there soon? Got it,” He asks the twin who just seems shocked that their master cares that much about Mk and even calls him his kid. “Yes Boss, we understand. See you there” The twin said as they disappeared as Macaque looked outside. He hopes that Mk is okay. ‘Please be okay, pup’ He thought to himself.
✧ ✧・゚: ✧・゚: :・゚✧:・゚✧
Far away from everyone deep in the nightmare forest. So many people know to never go into that forest. You can hear crying or screaming from children in there, as Mk opens his eyes to see that he is in a cage with other children in their own cages?? “Wait where I’m?” He said to himself as he heard a sound, as he looked out the cage to see a kingdom covered in darkness.
“Ha-ha so you're awake will enjoy your new home in Kingdom of Nightmare!” He heard a small demon voice that was made out of dark smoke was on top, he looked to see a palace in front. As he realized that he was not on the ground, he looked up to see the small shadow creature demon riding on a shadow creature with wings. As he looked over to see different ages of children in their own cages. He sighs and investigates the sky. It was nighttime already?
He groaned, ‘oh no, I got myself in big trouble now, I hope Monkey King or worse Macaque doesn’t kill me after these…’  As they reached the places and flew down through a hole down to some tunnel’s way throughout the different places. He throws everywhere in that cage until they stop. The bottom opens and falls through, Mk slides down another tunnel way to the opening. He popped out a hole and hit the groun” Ow” Mk groaned and got up as he laned a on patch of flower and he to look around to see this was a Children’s town??
Because he saw many children or teenagers walking around doing their know stuff. Mk realize that he in the center of these Vallige with other children. As some of teenger who seem like they have been waiting for them. Until one of them a female walked up to him. She has one fox tail and fox ears, “hello there you must be new, huh? Oh, ya my name is Miyuki Kitsune, the snow Fox and may I ask who you are?”
Mk looks down but smiles, “Call me Mk,” He did not want to say his real name to her. “But where am I? Also, where is my staff-” As something hit his head, “Ouch! Ever mind….” he said as he picked it up and put it on his back. Miyuki looked at him more closely and staff too but first answered his first question, “Well you're in Children Village where you're stuck there until King Yami chooses you for his army. We have trials every day. Whatever your rank is; you will get food and more stuff, but come on let me show you your new home,” She said as she walked off. As Mk followed her and saw that Miyuki is an albino fox, with white long like silk and her red eyes are like a pair of rubies? She wears a long Emerald color dress with black shoes.
They walk until they hit a house that was a blue house. It was a beautiful house even if it was old. “Wait, you said trial??” Mk asks as Miyuki nodded, “yes everyone says, who enters is a trial today. Will try to beat the game and whoever wins will meet his highness and be honored to be in his army,” Miyuki Answered, as she then gave a bracelet. “These will give you Rank number and show a map of these underground kingdoms. Also, in your dresser is what you put on the clothing you wear while on trial.” She explained and gave him a mini bag of coins.
“There is your money, and you can win more during the trial or other stuff. Will then good luck and get some sleep because your first Trial is starting tomorrow,” Miyuki then walked out the door and closed it close. Mk sighs and looks around. It was nice inside? He found his room and where his clothing was. He sat down on the bed and sighs. “I hope Monkey King and Macaque saves me soon because I really don’t like the sound of wanting to know about these trials.” Mk said to himself and then took a nap on his bed.

Sunshower 6
The day after a party, everyone’s worse nightmare. Even with more to come indefinitely, faunus weren’t immune to the effects of partying too hard. Morning had finally kissed Menagerie and those with jobs were the first to witness or feel the shock of Blake’s Homecoming. Streets and houses were littered with festivities along with plenty of red solo cups. Officer’s were up first to deal with any passed out people that were anywhere but their home. All in all, the first night was a hit; people’s spirits seemed to be through the roof. The wave of pleasure was sure to carry over to tonight.
It didn’t take long for the outside world to start rousing people from sleep; including Ilia. Slowly her eyes open to the dim sunlight hitting them; doing no good for her massive hangover. Things are fuzzy. Not to mention.....aching? Common for downing five too many but this felt different. Since when does drinking hurt your legs? Her right hand rubbed the bridge of her nose as she tried to adjust to being being sober again.
Ilia:(Ugh, where am I? Did I......fall asleep? Am I still asleep? No, too much pain to be a dream. Even my own thoughts sound way too loud...) *rubs her temples*
Ilia:(Okay, if I can survive the white fang then I push through this hangover and open my eyes to the very, very bright lights. Easy as one.....two.....thre-
‘Zzzzzzzz’
Ilia:Was that.....snoring?
Her eyes opened one at a time to lessen the pain. It took a few seconds to see clearly but eventually she did; still, Ilia needed a minute to process what she saw. The interior design told her she was in Blake’s house. The room wasn’t really messy which told her no one had come in during the party. The only visible mess were clothes.....? Her clothes at that. Both hands shot up to her head to feel that her hair was down as well. Finally a gasp was let out as her mind was finally catching up.
Ilia:(I’m in Blake’s house still!!! Not just that, but naked two!? What the actual hell happened last night!!? Party, drank, drank some more, also cried I think? Then I got fresh air with-)
‘Zzzzzzzz’
Ilia:......
Everything in her entire body told her to not look to her left. Pieces of memories she kept recalling demanded to know if they were being remembered right however. Something Ilia knew she most likely was since it would be just her luck. Time felt like it stopped as she finally turned to see the source of the snoring. Sure enough, Sun laid peacefully next to her with his head facing away from her. His short was off and she could spot it near the foot of the bed; along with the rest of his clothes. Brown skin turned white from the shock as freckles went straight to pink from embarrassment. Sun Wukong was currently naked and sleeping next to her who is also naked but now completely awake. Even the hangover took a backseat to this dump of information.
Ilia:.........
Ilia:(Oh fuck.......)
The boy was motionless; almost unnerving motionless. A dark thought started to grow in her head so gently she pulled the cover about an inch down and listened to his heart. Ilia’s nerves weren’t calmed to discover that he sounded and looked find. Now she could focus on major crisis. Leaving. She slid herself out from the side of covers and nearly dropped to the wooden floor. Blaming only the hangover would be a lie for the state of her poor motor skills yet thinking of other reasons why moving was a chore lead to topics she didn’t want to address at the moment. One problem at a time. Right now she needed to be presentable. It took some time but she managed dress herself for the most part. The ponytail was neglected as well as the jacket she wore.
Full stealth mode was happening right now. Each foot gently went in front of the other as she watched him to make sure he was still asleep. There was something unusual about the way he slept that Ilia couldn’t figure out. Oh well. She’d think about it later. Right now she is just relieved to have reached the door knob. At least she was until it started twisting from the other side. Someone was coming in...
Ilia:(No no no no no no no!!!!!!!! Crap what do I-)
*door opens*
Kali:*whispering* Pssst Sun? It’s morn.....ing? Ilia?
Ilia:.......I can explain! Things got crazy and we weren’t thinking! I was dr-
Kali:*covers Ilia’s mouth* Relax, you look like you’re about to faint. I didn’t even know you were at the party. Guess I know why *looks at bed*
Ilia:Please don’t mention this to anyone.
Kali:I wouldn’t even dream of it sweetie. I can’t tell you how crazy parties got back in me and Ghira’s day. My lips are sealed. *steps aside*
Ilia wouldn’t call herself a religious person, but Kali had to be a gift from above. She couldn’t help but hug the older woman as she walked out the room.
Kali:Oh, one more thing.
Ilia:What?
Kali:Blake and Yang are passed out on the couch and Ghira is making coffee in the kitchen so......might wanna use the balcony.
Ilia:I’m getting real sick of that balcony. Thank you.
She made a hard right as soon as she entered the hallway towards the balcony. Ilia was starting to miss simply walking through a doorway. It was time to put her skills to the test. Carefully she hoisted herself up on the railing and looked at the closet tree, then the ground.
Ilia:Should be easy enough.
Her foot slips right as she jumps around she hits the ground below. The only pain she feels is the bruised ego and what can only be described as her brain bouncing around. The fatigue of it all made the ground feel oddly comfortable. She took a moment to stare up at the sky; the shade from the balcony blocking the cruel sun. Soon she’d have to move.
Kali:*looks down* Are you okay?
Ilia:Honestly, not my worst screw up in recent months.
Kali:Fair enough. You forgot your scroll up here by the way.
Ilia:Probably for the best considering what just happened. Kali can you do me favor? I need you to make a call.
xxx
Neptune:.......*sips coffee*
Neptune:Can you walk.
Ilia:Yeah
Neptune:Can you walk well?
Ilia:No......got a feeling I twisted my ankle a little. Among other stuff.
Neptune:And you don’t ask Kali for first aid because.....?
Ilia:I am not going back in that house right now. Just help me up please? My aura will fix it soon enough.*raises arm* Mind being my crutch?
Neptune:I could just carry you on my back?
Ilia:Neptune I need just a little dignity right now so if you could just get under my arm and then stand up please.
Neptune:But your so short. I’d have to be hunched over and-
Ilia:You dined and dash yesterday! Can you please just-
Neptune:Fine! *supports her* happy?
Ilia:A little. Can we go to your motel room? My home is way too far of a walk.
Neptune:Fine by mean. I’d get lost anyways. *starts walking*
Ilia:Thank you...
Neptune:Yep. So.....any reason why you look vanilla swirl with pink sprinkles?
Ilia:It’s been an overwhelming forty minutes since I woke up.
Neptune:Does it have something to do with sleeping with my best friend?
Ilia:*eyes widened* What are you talk- why would I....sigh
Neptune:Not even denying it. Don’t worry about responding to it right now. Just enjoy the fresh air and walk.
Ilia:(easier said then done.)
The duo hobbled in silence for awhile. It would look suspicious if there wasn’t plenty of other people still getting their barrings. Neptune kept his eyes forward to look out for anything. Ilia was busy zoning out. The initial shock of everything had finally warn off and her skin went back to its natural color; except for her freckles. The darker spots were still pink and only getting pinker as she hopelessly tried to think of anything but last night. Blood rushed to her face out of embarrassment.
Neptune:Heads up Ilia.
Ilia:Hmmm? *looks up* Oh......
A menagerie officer stands before them with their hands on their hips; a fox tail wraps around their slim frame as they stare down the two.
Neptune:Who’s your foxy friend Ilia?
Cop:That’s racist....
Neptune:Crap! I’m sorry!!! You know I kinda thought it was stupid to say out loud but-
Ilia:They’re joking around. Neptune this is Judy. Judy this is Neptune, he’s a bit dumb but I’ve been told he’s pretty valid as a person.
Judy:Haha, he must be if Ghira hasn’t thrown in the ocean yet.
Neptune:He....he does that?
Judy:Only to pests. For the record, I’d play it say and refrain from animal puns or jokes. Any other faunus might’ve gotten a bit rowdy.
Neptune:Noted. So....any reason someone as beautiful as yourself came strolling this way?
Judy:Just helping where I could when suddenly I see Miss. Bomb Defuser strolling by. You haven’t checked in with me in a couple of days. I don’t have to remind you that multiple cops and gaurds are still twitchy about your circumstances do I?
Neptune:Wait, is Judy-
Ilia:Yes Neptune, Judy is my parole officer.
Judy:Come now, you aren’t on parole. It just makes a lot of people feel better if you can be accounted for regularly by the authorities and sometimes help around the place to rebuild your self ima-
Ilia:Judy.......it’s parole.
Judy:........*nods* Yeah I guess it is, sorry.
Neptune:Well if that’s the case I can vouch for her and say for the pass few days she’s done nothing but help organize the party and decided to indulge in the festivities last night. You can even find a copy of all the decorations she’s done at the Belladonna estate signed off by Ghira himself.
Ilia:!!!!?
Judy:Woah, well that makes things easier. Thank you Neptune. I guess you really are valid.
Ilia:You’re telling me.
Judy:Anyways, I’m gonna head out but actually go check in next time so we don’t have to think about sending a search party. *walking away*
Ilia:I’ll think about it.
Judy:Ilia.....
Ilia:Goodbye Judy! Start walking Neptune before we here a long winded speech about the wall.
Neptune:*walks* Judy seems nice.
Ilia:Surprised you barely flirted through that conversation. I was waiting for you to make a mistake like most people do around Judy.
Neptune:Mistake? What mistake?
Ilia:If you haven’t figured it out yet then who am I to tell?
Neptune:*smiles*
Ilia:What?
Neptune:You’ve calmed down from the looks of it.
Ilia:Oh, I guess I have.
Neptune:Good, because we’re here.
Motels were something menagerie was getting used to since Haven. Plenty of faunus has stopped by to figure out if they also wanted to move in and even important figures across Remnant wanted to discuss human and faunus relations as a new organization formed. So a motel half the size of Blake’s home was built a little ways west of the main part of the island. Here people could easily access the beach or look inward to all the people and get a glimpse of what a regular day here looks like.
Neptune took pride and being the first human to have an indefinite stay at the beautiful place; even Ilia hasn’t been around it much. He lead her to his room there was a back porch that faced the sea with a hammock. The room itself was wood furnished with a decent sized bed in the middle and two night standing on each side. The golden brown look of it all gave off a vibe of warm flames and deep heritage. Neptune guided her to the hammock then went back inside to grab some pills and water bottles before coming back out. He didn’t have to say anything before she grabbed both of them and open the lid.
Neptune:I’m guessing your hangover headache was really bad.
Ilia:You guessed correctly. Thank you by the way, for all this. Especially with Judy.
Neptune:Someone had to keep track of supplies since you and Sun made a competition.
Ilia:Makes sense. By the way.....Judy is-
Neptune:I figured it out on the way here.
Ilia:Okay, I was gonna feel a bit bad if I didn’t say something.
Neptune:Trust me, I’ve developed a sense for these things after meeting you. Still, they are pretty cool. Probably knows how to party.
Ilia:Don’t tell your date from last night that, or is she already out of the picture? This room is surprisingly clean for a playboy after a party. House keeping works fast.
Neptune:House keeping only had to dust. Nothing happened in this room last night. I took that girl home after the fireworks because boy was she out of it. I tried calling Sun to let him know where I was but he never answered. That’s when a gut feeling told me to look for high points and I saw you two on the roof.
Ilia:Oh......
Neptune:Didn’t think much of it. Even after I saw him pick you up and lead you inside. There was a little chatter about a spunky drunk girl that told of some creep inside with the help of a monkey faunus so I assumed that you were thoroughly wasted; which makes sense after what you did at the restaurant. Sun was with you and both of you were pretty bummed out the whole night so I thought “they’ll probably go ditch the thing and I’ll see him later.” But then I didn’t......
Ilia:Uuuuuuummmmmmm.....
Neptune:Sun is a big boy and knows the place so I didn’t think much of it. I’d catch up with him tomorrow morning. Tomorrow becomes today and as I reach for my scroll expecting apology messages from him, it’s Kali telling me to come pick you up from the house as quickly and discreetly as possible. Now I hate to make assumptions, but I’ve done my fair share of unsuccessful balcony exits. What they all have in common is what I did the night before to prompt such a hasty exit.
Ilia:What are you? Some kind of jr detective?
Neptune:When it comes to crimes of the heart I find all the clues.
Ilia:It’s not a crime of the heart it’s just.....ugh. *lays down* Gods I feel stupid. What possessed me to think sleeping with Sun was a good idea to push away pain.
Neptune:I know your teenage years aren’t exactly normal but that’s about as normal as teenage thought processes go. He was depressed, you were depressed, tons of alcohol, and common ground found at a late night party. I’m not saying I expected this because I didn’t, but makes sense.
Ilia:You don’t understand Neptune! What happened shouldn’t have happened, but it did and now I just feel....weird. I can’t remember all of last night right now but I remember a decent amount. Things I wish I didn’t.
Neptune:Like?
Ilia:I said things. Personal things I don’t share freely. I was hurt but things felt, okay? Yet so wrong at the same time.
Neptune:*frowns* Do you feel used?
Ilia:No, heavens no. If anything I sort of feel like I used him a little. Which was not my intention.
Neptune:What was your intention?
Ilia:I DON’T KNOW!!!!!! I just remember feeling..... something. Whatever the hell it was....
.........
Neptune:Do you....regret it?
Ilia:What?
Neptune:Do you regret last night?
Ilia:I’m, not exactly sure.
Neptune:Well maybe start there and everything else might fall into place? I’m not saying this isn’t a big deal or anything but trust me when I say this does not have to be some staggering revelation. Beer has a way of blurring that line.
Ilia:Sigh, I’m not prepared to talk to Sun about this.
Neptune:Lucky for you, he normally blacks-out when he gets too drunk.
Ilia:Seriously?
Neptune:Yeah he doesn’t like drinking. I think he only did it because of how upset he was.
Ilia:Oh......*turns blue*
Neptune:Uh oh, what’s wrong?
Ilia:Even if he doesn’t remember, it’s wrong to keep that from him right?
Neptune:Tricky question. Personally, I’d tell him if you feel weird about it. Sort out your feelings on the situation and if it meant nothing to you and was just something that happened then by all means, I’ll keep the secret.
Ilia:But.....?
Neptune:Blake and Sun are only friends with compassionate people, so I know last night meant something to you in one shape or form. I’ll be here figure it out if you want and anything else you might need. That way you can tell him with a clear head.
The more Neptune spoke, the more Ilia had to keep rethinking her description of him. Sun wasn’t just hyping him up whenever he told her that Neptune has more heart than she realized. His words, his smile, everything he did today made that statement....valid.
Ilia:I’m sorry Neptune.
Neptune:For what?
Ilia:Downplaying you constantly. You’re actually really sweet. So I’m sorry.
Neptune:Oh *red* well don’t go spreading that around alright. Some of these girls are really buying the whole cool yet distant act I’m putting on.
Ilia:*snickers* Alright, I guess I can do that. Hey is it alright if I can just lay here for a bit and just relax?
Neptune:Sure, it’ll help get my lien’s worth out of this place. *going inside*
Ilia:How much is this room?
Neptune:Too much Ilia! It’s too much! At least the water is free, I hope.
Ilia:(Funny, forgot to call himself compassionate as well. Maybe that’s why Sun likes him?)
Neptune:*scrolling* Hmm?
*one new message*
Sun: “Hey man, sorry about last night.”
Neptune: “Don’t sweat it dude.”
Sun: “So uh....can I come over? I gotta talk to you.”
Neptune:........
Neptune: “About?”
Sun: “About something that happened last night.”
Neptune:*turns around*
Ilia:*sleeping peacefully*
Neptune: “How about we meet somewhere for breakfast instead? Just to get out and about?”
Sun: “Sounds like a plan. Thanks bro”
Neptune:(Well I guess this is happening now.)
xxx
Sun:*holding Ilia’s scrunchy*......... oh boy.

A Grimm accusation
The hidden room aside from the Beacon headmistress’s office was unusually chilly; one could even swear their breath formed a small cloud with each spoken word, yet only in the corner of their eye. All Headmasters were currently present in some form, the elder who called Shade home fizzled in and out of existence as the connection with Vacuo was never truly refurbished to what it was before Beacon fell all those years ago. Meanwhile, the other three sat at a large table, physically present along with their trusted guard of choosing. The conference was going nowhere, and it seemed as though someone was always averse to the suggestion of another. The unhappy rift between them all set each one’s nerves on fire, as every comment was followed by a twitch of the mouth or narrowing of eyes. There was, however, one thing they could all come to an agreement on.
“We aren’t ready.”
Both Sun and Winter bowed their heads in pained regret as Weiss said what each was thinking out loud, Adderin could only sigh into his hands. The ever-looming threat of Cinder Fall is becoming more and more impossible to ignore, and Weiss knows that should her trusted friend fail in her quest, the worst should be expected. Weiss’s eyes drifted through the faces in the room. Her elder sister sat across from her, accompanied by someone who Weiss had never met previously, but one whose skill the Atlas Headmistress spoke highly of. Sun sat off to Weiss’s right, the familiar face of Sage Ayana silently towering behind him. Weiss’s attention was dragged away from her colleagues by a hand resting on her shoulder, turning over to see the comforting face of her beloved, Blake Belladonna, Weiss allows her nerves to ease slightly. Though it is a short-lived moment.
“As I have called for several times, communication between the schools should be our top priority,” Adderin’s voice choppily fills out the room as the image of his face scatters across the screen for a split second, “The fact that we don’t have the secure lines we once did is dangerous, giving fault to any possible plan.”
“This wouldn’t be the case, Adderin,” Winter spoke up after having remained unusually silent for the majority of their meeting, “Were you to visit physically, as we have. Even Wukong has made the trip.”
“Wouldn’t miss it for the world,” Despite the humor of the line, his voice held no joking tone, Sun’s eyes have sunken into his skull and gained heavy bags beneath them since his last visit. Weiss assumes there’s more to it than the average stress that comes along with being a headmaster of a huntsmen academy.
“Winter is right,” Weiss speaks out, she stands up from her seat and turns her head to face Adderin, “Yet in a way you are also correct. We need to communicate better, and to do so securely you need to make the trip here. Until then we cannot speak openly about anything.”
Weiss narrows her eyes to her elder, “And Adderin, that’s advice you’d do well to follow.”
“Weiss,” Blake hissed towards the youngest of the headmasters but was quickly hushed by a raised hand from Adderin himself.
“Very bold of you, Schnee,” Adderin speaks clearly through the flimsy connection, folding his hands on his desk and leans forward towards his associates, his snake-like eyes clear through the screen’s static, “To accuse me of housing skeletons in my closet, when you’ve a graveyard in your own.”
“We won’t get anywhere fighting like this,” Sun smashes his fists onto the table, giving everyone a shock, “I propose we postpone the rest of this conference. Adderin, I ask that you come immediately, I trust there is some way you can do so.”
The room stayed silent for quite some time. Weiss, who was still standing, glared down at her hands before collapsing back into her chair, defeated. Winter refused to either speak or take her eyes off her sister after the comment made by their elder. Adderin was the first to break the silence with a sigh.
“Ozpin would have wanted us to get along I suppose,” Adderin said with a grimace as he leaned back in his seat, “I cannot argue with his wish, for that would sully the memory of my predecessor. I will make arrangements to arrive at Beacon soon, though do not expect me immediately. Shade is the center of change for Vacuo, I must leave it in good hands. Expect me in a month’s time.”
“A month!?”
Adderin paid no mind to the outburst from Weiss, “I shall see you then. Adderin Sevari, signing off.”
With that the screen turned black, stating signal lost. Weiss and her company sat in the now silent room for a moment before standing up. Winter remained seated, however, and spoke up without raising her head from it’s resting place on her two folded hands.
“Weiss, sit back down.”
“Winter,” Weiss questioned, “What’s with this outburtst?”
“You’re going to explain further upon something our dear colleague said,” Winter’s eyes drifted upwards to meet her younger sister’s, instilling a chill through Weiss’s spine, “I want to hear about this graveyard.”

THIS CHAPTER: Fluff and hugs.
NOTES: This has been a great little project. Most of these fics are collabs, but this one I did all on my own (even if it was intended as a gift for PenpalPenny - and don't worry you'll see some work from her eventually!). Thanks for all your reviews! Hopefully this short little tidbit to wrap it all up is the icing on the cake you all wanted. Until next time! -NBW
=EPILOGUE
“THERE you are!”
Looking up from where she was trying to stash her suitcase in the very top shelf of the closet, Yang grinned to see the dark-haired girl striding into their room. She looked great, well-rested, and her skin even more tan than usual. Maybe she hadn’t been talking to her a lot while they were on separate vacations, but she had definitely missed her homegirl.
“Hey, Blake! Just… gotta get…”
“Here, let me help,” Blake Belladonna laughed as she jogged over to help Yang push the bulky thing upward. “Shit, it’s… okay wait… there. Got it!”
“Good!” Standing back, she watched it for a moment to make sure it wouldn’t fall, then grabbed one of the plastic hangers that she hadn’t quite put all her clothes on yet and used it to push the corner in a little better. “There.”
“So where were you this morning? Thought you were supposed to get here earlier than this! Almost worried you dropped out or got off-campus housing or something!”
Grinning at Blake’s obvious pleasure that her roommate was back, Yang went to the remaining pile of clothing on her bed and started sorting through them. “Got held up at home. Mom wanted to do some last-minute bonding shit. I think she felt my absence being gone half the summer, because she’s been doing… I mean, not a lot more mother-daughter stuff, but more than she used to before now. Kinda weird.”
“Probably still snaps at you over nothing, though,” Blake commented as she went back to her own side of the room. Everything was already mostly situated, including her teetering ‘to-read’ stack of books on the nightstand. “Or is that not still a thing?”
“Nah, it is. But… it’s like, she’s doing it, but she’s also catching herself doing it and stopping before it gets worse. So it’s getting better, just like, slow.”
“Ohhh, gotcha. Good. I mean, it’s good, right?”
“Yeah, sure! Well, except for this weird moment when I was giving her a footrub...” She waved a hand back and forth, as if hoping to dispel the topic of conversation. “Nevermind. Let’s just get settled in.”
“How weird is ‘weird’?” Blake insisted. She should have known she wouldn’t get off that easy.
“Not that weird! Just, like, for a moment it reminded me of something that happened in California. Not a big deal, I got over it pretty fast.” That might have been a slight stretch of the truth, but she didn’t want to go into details, anyway.
Nodding her acceptance, Blake plugged her phone into her charger and then walked back over to help Yang. It was great to see her again. Maybe they weren’t besties, but they had become very close during the previous year. After their initial roomie-discomfort faded, they had formed the kind of casual friendship that let them treat each other like sisters, more or less.
Even though that word took on a different meaning for Yang lately…
“My vacation was super boring,” Blake sighed as they started hanging up her clothes together. “Italy itself was fun, but Mom and Dad wouldn’t stop asking about Sun, when they were going to get to meet him, why I wasn’t showing them pictures of him, blah, blah, blah… oh, and yelling about my grades, and trying to micromanage. Like, why?”
“Right? I got a little of that from Summer and my Dad, too. Not that bad, though; since I’m kind of the long-lost kid, I get a little bit of a pass. Plus they have that whole ‘L.A. chill’ and aren’t mean about much of anything to begin with.”
“Sounded like you got a lot more than that from Summer,” Blake muttered out of the corner of her mouth. Yang bumped her with her hip. “What? Don’t blame me - you made it sound that way!”
“Don’t give me shit! And I told you that in confidence, so quit throwing it around all over the place!”
“Hey, our dorm room is not ‘all over the place’, is it? Besides, you keep dodging around the deets!”
“I could do that to you - why aren’t you showing them any pictures of Mr. Wukong? Hmmmmm?” As she crammed her giant panda into the far corner of her bed, she smirked over her shoulder. “Don’t want them to know you’re dating a Chinese track-and-field jock?”
Pursing her lips for a moment, Blake put the next dress on the hanger with an unnecessary flourish. “He is the pole vault king. Show some respect. And it’s got nothing to do with him being Chinese or a jock. Just… none of their business.” Then she glanced down at the dress and back up at Yang. “Is this yours?”
“Yeah. What about it?”
“It’s… really cute. I just never see you wear stuff like this.”
“Oh…” Her smile was a little shy. “Well… yeah, I tried on a few things while I was down there. And, I dunno, just… starting to feel braver, maybe.” Her father’s goodbye came back to her, and she couldn’t help smiling wider. It had been a great trip overall, as bittersweet as thinking about it was now.
“That’s great to hear,” Blake told her honestly, hanging it up and giving her a little hug. “You know I got your back. And you’re fucking gorgeous, so anybody who wants to be a transphobic ass to you has to go through me.”
Hugging back, Yang patted her a few times before they released and went back to get more clothes from the bed. “You just want me around because you keep hoping to get another look at the D.”
“Hey, blame me. Yours is pretty great; if it weren’t attached to my roomie, I’d be on it like Adderall during finals week.”
As they laughed and finished stashing the clothes, they chatted and caught up on each other’s lives a little. Most of it had been covered in texts before now, but it was still nice to talk in person again. Sorry as she was to leave her family - especially one of them in particular - she was glad to get back to her life on campus, and to her teammate and friend. As silver linings went, this was a pretty great one.
Blake was just waggling her eyebrows at Yang and holding up her new swimsuit, causing Yang to snatch it and throw it in a drawer of her dresser, when there was a knock at the door. Glancing over at Blake, who only shrugged to show she wasn’t expecting anyone, she walked over and yanked it open.
“What’s- OOF!”
That was all the warning she had before Ruby Rose-Xiao Long, of all people, was crushing her as tightly as her little arms could manage. Yang sputtered and tried to recover, to think, to breathe, but everything was proving to be impossible.
“RUBY?!”
“I got the right room!” she piped up, hopping up and down and making Yang hop up and down along with her to keep from being knocked over. The twin halves of the heart-charm necklaces jingled together noisily where they collided between their chests; seemed neither of them could bear to go a day without wearing it. “Oh, I was so worried I’d be knocking on a random stranger’s door, and they’d think I was a spaz, and the campus police would throw me out and I’d have to prove I belong here - and I don’t have my ID yet, they were supposed to mail it I think, but it never showed up, and it’s stupid to have to pay a replacement fee when I never had one in the first-”
“Whoa, whoa, slow down!” Yang laughed weakly, pushing her back to arm’s length. “I’m… what are you doing here?”
At that question, she took a step backward, looking more full of energy than Yang had ever seen her - which was saying a lot. Arms spread wide, she announced, “Meet your new fellow Beacon University student! Except for the stupid ID, I’m all official!”
The blood drained from Yang’s face. She couldn’t be serious. She couldn’t be. Still… the light-grey Beacon t-shirt she was wearing did look like it had been through a wash cycle or two. As if she had ordered it before she got to New Hampshire.
“No… fucking… way.”
“Um…” Approaching from off to the side, Blake let out an uncertain laugh. “Not to break up whatever this is, but… what is this? Who’s this chick, Yang?”
“Oh,” she said, snapping out of it despite her voice still being a little numb. “This is my si-”
“Siiiiignificant other!” Ruby sang out, covering what Yang had been about to say as she hugged around her middle. While Yang was still being baffled, she went on, “We met in L.A.! And I don’t think she really expected me to follow her here, and I didn’t really think I’d get into Beacon when I applied so late, either, so I didn’t say anything! But I got waitlisted and I guess waiting paid off, so… here I am!”
Rounding on Yang, the amber-eyed roommate snapped, “SHUT THE FRONT DOOR. You never said anything about- this is huge news, Branwen! You had a summer fling - that wasn’t with Summer?! Why would you hide this?!”
“Awww, you didn’t tell her about me?” Ruby went on while Yang’s mouth was flapping uselessly. “Are you embarrassed of me? Ashamed?”
“WHAT?! No way, don’t say that!” Yang piped up. “You know I love you, don’t be a dick!”
The words had slipped out way too easily, and now Ruby was beaming through rosy cheeks while Blake simply blinked and tried to mentally catch up. She wasn’t the only one.
“This is gonna be so much fun!” Ruby chirruped, hanging onto Yang’s bicep. “Well, most of it; the prissy German girl in my room acted like I was the scum between her toes, but I mean, I only have to sleep there, right?” Then she added in a suggestive voice, “And maybe I don’t even have to do that…”
“Whoa, whoa,” she said firmly. “We’re not doing that with Blake in the room, come on! You’re losing your mind!”
“Wait,” Blake said, finally able to speak again. “I thought… didn’t you say your sister’s name was Ruby?”
“Is it?” Ruby asked in a casual voice. Yang was secretly very impressed with how prepared for all this she seemed to be, even while she wanted to die and melt through the floor. Up to and including cutting Yang off before she could announce that Ruby was her sister; she seemed to think it was somehow possible for them to keep the true nature of their relationship under wraps for their entire academic career. “What a weird coincidence. But I bet she’s a hot blonde, too. Think I could set up a Yang-and-Ruby-and-Ruby sandwich?”
“WHAT?!” Yang burst out.
“Kidding, kidding!” Ruby giggled, leaning up to kiss her cheek. When Yang blinked, she turned just enough so that Blake couldn’t see her face through her hair. Her face was suddenly full of a lot more emotion and adoration than before, reserved for only Yang. “You’re all I need.”
“WOW,” Blake breathed, goggling and clutching at her heart. “This is like, straight out of one of my books!”
Though Yang felt like she was going to die of embarrassment, and a little lingering confusion, she couldn’t pretend she wasn’t happy. Her own smile finally won out and she hugged Ruby back.
“You too, Rubes. Every little part of you; it’s my whole list, front and back.”
“Is my kiss on the list?” Ruby whispered with a little grin, before she started doing a little dance and quietly singing, “Because your kiss, your kiss, is on my list, because your ki-”
Then they were kissing so Yang could shut her up, trying to ignore Blake’s incessant questions, plus the chorus of “OooOOoOOoohh”s from passerby in the hallway. She couldn’t handle them and her chattering half-sister at the same time. She just couldn’t.

Tagged by @laryna6 to say what I’m working on/ have been working on/ should probably stop procrastinating on
1) supernatural fic
I’ve been working on this one supernatural fic (working title ‘Tripwire’) that has three arcs (I think.) It’s a destiel fic.  I’ve only written one arc in about half a year last year and haven’t done anything with it since. First chapter deals with how Cas meets Dean in random circumstances. By second chapter, there’s a big time skip wherein Dean wakes up with no memory and Cas has already fallen in love with him.
The following chapter, it goes straight back to where chapter one ends off. And then goes back to the timeskip next chapter. Yeah - both timelines are running concurrently - past Dean meeting Cas for the first time and getting into shit, and then present Dean not understanding why this Castiel cares about him so much and trying to figure out what happened. The timelines get closer and closer together (reveal/back up information at the same time) to the point where it converges - Dean loses his memory/Dean is about to find out why he lost his memory. The end of timeline one should fit immediately to the beginning of timeline 2, chapter 2. So it’s a pretty different structure I’m trying out, instead of just spamming flashbacks like in Monster lol.
The actual story I might be a little cliched - Cas is in a Shadowy Organisation, has been indoctrinated into it his entire life, has Super Spy Powers. Goes into a fancy black tie event To Kill A Man. Meets Dean, a guy who stole a suit and snuck into the party For Funsies. Things happen and Bad Guys mistakes Dean for Cas, kidnaps wrong guy.
(CUE TIME SKIP.)
Dean wakes up. There is a bullet hole in him. Apparently, he’s officially dead on paper. His brother has finished law school. Mysterious guy Cas nurses him back to health and then leaves. Bad Guys are (still) after him, though he has no idea why. Tries to find Cas, while Cas is shooting down people who try to catch him. (violence! action movie vibes!! cliches, probably!) (I’m actually really proud with the concurrent timelines but not sure if I have the motivation to do the full three arcs....) (There’s 14 chapters but I haven’t worked on it in months and months.)
2) Noblesse time travel.
An entire year and only three chapters to show for it: That Noblesse Time travel fic I said I was going to do. I have the ideas but not the motivation ugh.
Three main storylines:
1 - For Reasons Not That Important, Just An Excuse To Do The Premise - Rai goes back the past to find a Frankenstein who has not yet met him. A Frankenstein who is hunting nobles and mutants. (HOly shoot I just got the idea to add Tesamu in this omg maybe I should.......get on that.....)
2 - Tao, M-21 and Takeo wind up in Lukedonia. Like near a thousand years ago. When Franken and Rai are living together, but not bonded. Frankenstein is very suspicious of them. (Actually....this might be a little ‘parent trap’ ish if I can pull it off hahahahaha.)
3 - Frankenstein goes to the future, where he meets Regis and Seira grown up. In the future, there is no Noblesse.
Then the characters start time jumping to each other’s timelines before going back to present day.
3) Rurouni Kenshin and Shakespeare fic
Gosh this could have been good if I wasn’t such a fuck. I’m four chapters into this Rurouni Kenshin fic. Except, it’s Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, and I named it “Twelfth Knight.” !!!
(Also probably blatant indulgent fic but fight me.) It’s a crime mystery. Kenshin and Kaoru (married) and co. go back to Kyoto because Saitou told them to Come See This Shit. Which is - a lot of murders that were definitely done by Kenshin’s Hiten Mitsurugi ryu, because Saitou knows his rival’s style too well.
Meanwhile in The Past, a hardened samurai woman- an onnabugeisha - is searching for her disciple who ran away. A thing happens and she ends up in Kenshin and co’s present.
Meanwhile Hiko Seijuro has also come across these clearly-Hiten-mitsurugi-murders. So. Because there are only two living practitioners of the Mitsurugi ryu, and Kenshin and Saitou know that it’s not Kenshin who lives in Tokyo, they think Hiko Seijuro did the murders. Hiko Seijuro, who hasn’t had to kill anyone in years, thinks it’s Kenshin who’s gone awol. They try to track each other down.
The samurai woman, of course, turns out to be the third Hiten Mitsurugi user. But she came from the past. Making her the twelfth heir of the style. Meaning she was the master of Hiko Seijuro 13 - she’s Hiko Seijuro 12. Who is looking for her missing kid disciple in Meji era 1880, wherein he would be 40+ years old. Thus, “Twelfth Knight!”
Based on Shakespeare’s best comedy imo
4) “embers, smog, cinder, ella.” About Cinderella. And the demon who lives in the walls of the house she cleans.
Exactly how it sounds. Everyone treats Cinderella like a servant. The demon that lives in the old wood of her family’s country home sees everything. The role of the fairy god mother is given to Mr. Demon, who never shows up, but is always there, watching, lurking, helping Cinderella clean the house and get to the ball. Never really planned on posting lol purely aesthetic and indulgent XD, a character study more than a fic. I named it.
5) “A Magnolia Rides to War” Mulan character piece
Don’t know if I’m going to post this lol not really a fic. Totally for my own indulgence. Just a character study - full of oodles and oodles of pretty metaphors and purple prose. Magnolia flower is the eng translation of ‘mulan.’
6) An Unadmitted Defeat
Ah yes, one day I decided to, you know. Rewrite the entirely of the Lotus Lantern myth. (???) This was so spontaneous I don’t know hahaha.
About the story of Chen Xiang, a young boy who lived in mostly mountain isolation with his loving parents. One day, family he didn’t know he had rocks up. It turns out his parents were trying to raise him away from celestial gods and magic, because his Uncle is the Heavenly Law Enforcer, Erlang Shen. Who quickly destroys their house, steal’s his mother Sanseng Mu’s powerful Lotus Lantern weapon, and traps her under a mountain after a big fight.
Chen Xiang learns this happened because he is a demigod - his dad was human and mum was a goddess. Human-god intermarriage is outlawed and Chen Xiang is a Heretic. After stealing back the Lantern and escaping from Erlang Shen’s cold fifth layer palace, Chen Xiang has one singular objective: Save Mum. To save Mum, he has to defeat God Erlang Shen, who has never lost a fight in recorded history.
But just because he never lost a fight doesn’t mean he’s won every single one. Who is the person Erlang Shen could not win? -- Heavenly rebel, Sun Wukong, who is just what Chen Xiang needs.
8) Two and Three
Character piece on the Yang twins before their heavenly fallout - goddess Sanseng Mu and Erlang Shen.
7) Who is the Monster
Of course, my long running Noblesse fic!! A rift comes between Frankenstein and Raizel when an enemy from Frankenstein’s past comes back to enact a grand plan.
(minor spoilers - First adopted child is terribly jealous and mad at adopted father’s new partner and new adopted children, thinks dad deserves better, so does most logical thing - destroy everything he loves.)
8) A man with no mother
An ongoing naruto fic.....that I have not updated for a long time :(
An excuse for Kakashi to hang out with Kushina and get motherly vibes from her. Minato, Konoha’s best, goes missing. Kushina goes out of retirement to go Find Him. Outside the KOnoha boarders, she finds young ANBU Kakashi, who has broken rank to also go Find Him. Hijinks ensue.
(One of the early fics looking back now I’m a little...eugh...but I will try -- try-- to finish it.)
Tagging: @kurasaika, @daylight-star, @qdeanna, @pizza-with-me-okay, @whiteplum

Iris (Part One)
.
They honor Graves.
They decorate the Royal.
And they reward the Faithful.
.
.
Mixed applause trickled down the chamber walls, like uneven waterfall.
Every floor was lined with theatre booths and in each booth, sat the different representatives of Vacuo’s tribes. Since the meeting was held in the North part of the continent, it only made sense most of those in attendance were from the Northern Faction.  In their opposite, the few tribe leaders of the Southern Faction put their hands together with little enthusiasm.
They had all gathered with the purpose of making a step towards peace, no matter how small. Vacuo’s civil war was taking its toll. Not only on its people, but also its land. Their land, which was already very difficult to live on.
But as the meeting came to an end, many wondered if any progress was made at all. Including one particular woman.
I wonder if there was even a point to this…
The bodyguard scanned the expressions of each attendant. Apparent animosities remained, fake smiles brandished openly, and some not even bothering to put up a front.
The representatives sent from the South weren’t even the ones who led the largest tribes. Their influence was small, and they were likely ordered to be there by the de facto leader of their Faction.
Blake Belladonna sighed once more.
“—Well, this could have gone better, wouldn’t you say?” the woman in the wheelchair beside her smiled sympathetically.
“Oh!” Blake covered her mouth embarrassingly. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to—”
“It’s fine. We’re all thinking the same thing, really.”
The person Blake guarded was Sienna Khan, representative leader of the North Faction’s White Fang. After Adam Taurus’s coup nearly a decade ago, the woman barely escaped with her life. The incident of the betrayal leaving her without the use of her legs.
Together with Blake and a few like-minded individuals, Sienna collected those who remained loyal to her, and combatted Adam’s White Fang at every turn.
Their fight eventually took them from the Menagerie to Vacuo, where Adam ignited a civil war. He believed the Kingdom a perfect place for the Faunus race. Following his declarations of hostile takeover, the continent split into the North and Southern Factions it is today.
The original government of Vacuo were initially apprehensive to receiving help from Sienna Khan, but necessity overrode their misgivings quickly. Adam united the fragmented people in the South at an extraordinary pace. He preyed on the intercontinental prejudices, as well as the fact that most of the Southern population was Faunus. And then, there was also the backing he received of another Kingdom, which helped equip and fund the army he built.
With such a threat in mind, the leaders of North Vacuo used Sienna and her resources, if not, more than their own. A fact that didn’t escape the White Fang leader or Blake’s notice.
“Miss Khan,” one of the robed Northern aristocrats approached. “We need more of your folk holding the Saharan Front.”
Sienna did her best to hide her anger.
“I believe we sent a number of troops to match your tribe’s warriors last month.”
“That may be so, but the reports from my officers inform me that my soldiers suffer the brunt of the casualties. Your brethren are also much more…hardy to the environment.”
“Apologies, but I don’t have the reserves to spare. It would probably be better to ask the other tribes for help, instead of relying on us.”
“I would if I could, but they insist they are busy defending their own territories. Thus, it falls onto you to provide assistance. Your White Fang emerged victorious during the conflict on the Mojave Front. Perhaps, you should allocate your people from there?”
Sienna bade Blake a brief side-glance.
“Our forces suffered significant injuries during the recent fight. I think it would be rather cruel to send them so quickly from one battlefield to another without some reprieve.”
Not taking the hint, the man continued almost like he didn’t hear her.
“The war for our Kingdom requires many sacrifices and sometimes demands our welfare as its price. My tribe will await your reinforcements with great gratitude and expectation.”
“…I will see what I can do,” Sienna almost groaned openly.
“See that you do.”
And without any more niceties, the man turned and left.
“Racism AND backhanded compliments,” Sienna snarled, once Blake wheeled her out of earshot of anyone else. “What did our platoon from the Saharan Front report again?”
“They were made vanguard as soon as they got there.”
“Lying, sack of– Remind me again, why I haven’t joined Adam’s Faction yet?”
“Because he stabbed you.”
“Right! Only thing I hate more than these Humans is that damned little bastard!”
“Leeeet’s get you home before anyone hears that.”
“…I’d love to, but first things first,” Sienna massaged her temples to smooth the impending migraine setting on. “I need to speak with the few Southern Leaders who actually attended. Adam probably sent them to collect information, but that doesn’t mean I can’t do anything about it.”
“You think you can convince them to switch sides?”
“No. I think I can feed them false intel that might help us a little.”
“Of course, that’s the reason.”
“So… What is the condition of our forces from the Mojave Front, Commander?”
Blake shook her head tiredly.
“It would be insane to send us out again so soon. Most of them are volunteers from Menagerie, Sienna. If it’s not the injuries, they’ll quit because of the treatment. I’m barely convincing them to stay as it is.”
“Expected as much.” Then in a deliberately quieter voice, the woman whispered, “Can you ask our other allies for help?”
Blake gave the thought a grim ponder.
“……We shouldn’t rely on them. You know that.”
“I know that better than anyone.”
“Everything they give us has strings attached.”
“I’m aware, Blake. But how else are we supposed to compete, especially with Mistral backing Adam?”
The bodyguard didn’t have a response for that. She knew the Northern Faction was only a breath away from losing their Kingdom, and their allies were proving less than adequate of defending it. Still, even at such a disadvantage, the alternative Sienna was suggesting could make the situation that much more dire.
“This Kingdom was already a failed state, before Adam came along…”
“Are you suggesting he might make it better?” Sienna asked.
“No. Not him or Mistral’s Parliament would help.”
“Then, we use who we must. Our White Fang must be the one to take Vacuo.”
Blake closed her eyes.
“…I’ll see what I can do.”
“Oh, no.”
“What?”
“Nothing. Just now, I think you sounded like me.”
“…”
“Oh, no.”

Outside the government building, which just concluded the meeting of various tribal leaders, protestors gathered from all corners of the continent. The only thing keeping them from the long steps of the entrance were the city’s policemen and private security guards.
Angry shouts and chanting filled the streets. Large picket signs flowed with the marching of hundreds of people. Food, paint, and other degrading material was chucked on the building’s front entrance. Some of it, hitting a few personnel guards—especially one in particular.
“…Don’t say a word,” Sun Wukong grumbled.
“What? I wasn’t gonna say anything,” Ilia Amitola tried to stifle her laugh. Trying, but failing.
“Uggghhh…!”
Sun wiped as much egg off his chest as possible. The goo only continued to cling to him stubbornly. And now his hands were gross, too.
“Ahhh!!!” he yelled, mostly to the sky in frustration.
“GET OUT OF OUR KINGDOM, YOU TRAITORS!!!” a group of Faunus protestors shouted. “YOU’RE ALL NOTHING BUT SCUM!!!”
“Couldn’t you guys throw bananas instead?!”
The protestors began pelting him with rotten bananas from head to toe. It was only when the police interfered, did the barrage stop. The only part of Sun that wasn’t covered in gross goo was his eyes, which were protected by sunglasses.
“…Sooo,” Ilia started. “You’re not gonna—”
“Of course, I’m not gonna eat it!”
“Okay, okay, buddy. Chill.”
“Yeah. Tell that to them.”
While Sun tried his best to clean himself, Ilia stared out into the crowd.
As chaotic as the scene was, it could’ve been worse. A lot worse, since Sun, her, and Blake only recently returned from the Mojave Front. In comparison, this potential riot was little more than noise. At least, rocks, molotovs, or anything of the like, hadn’t been thrown yet. The checkpoints were also inspecting everyone closely for weapons.
“—They’re certainly…passionate.”
Sun and Ilia followed the voice to see Blake exiting the building.
“Remind you of what we used to be?” Ilia asked with a smirk.
“All too clearly…”
“Except we’re the ones on the other side of the barricade now.”
“It definitely puts things in perspective. Are you regretting that one time you put a tomato through a policeman’s visor?”
“Not really.” Ilia glanced at Sun, who was still covered in food refuse. “They do have a lot to be angry about.”
“I suppose so…”
“…Wonder if we’re on the wrong side of it?”
“…”
“—Meeting didn’t go well, I take it?” Sun asked.
“Things are getting desperate,” Blake said to them both. “I thought I knew what desperate was, but now… Unless we begin taking some equally desperate measures, we might just be fighting a lost cause. If we haven’t lost it already.”
Ilia stared at Blake, who had sunk into silence for a long moment. Then, certain picket signs came into view. News reporters were also in the mix, commentating their own views on what was happening behind them. It wasn’t a lot, most of them didn’t believe it or even know it. The loudest mostly came from conspiracy theorists.
But she and Blake knew.
“Keep Atlas out!”
“No Faunus Labor! No S.D.C.!”
A few of those sentences could be gleaned in the swarming mob.
Ilia went to her friend’s side.
“Tell me, we’re not really getting in bed with Atlas.”
“…”
To Blake’s silence, she glared at her incredulously.
“Look, I know they helped us out with transports and some Dust supplies. But you can’t seriously be considering something more…! If you do, this whole thing turns into an even worse proxy war…!”
“I don’t want to, either. But even Sienna’s pushing for it now. We might not have a choice. Not with Mistral backing Adam from the shadows.”
“So we make a deal with our own devil?!”
“…”
“And then, not just Vacuo…OUR people, the Faunus people get dragged into the Second Great War.”
“Believe me, Ilia, I know the consequences. I’m still looking for another solution,” Blake sighed. “But it’s getting harder to find. Or more like, it’s getting increasingly clear there isn’t one...”
The way her friend closed her eyes, like she was staving off a headache, made Ilia keep her next words. She knew Blake was way passed doing her best. The young woman’s limits were showing. The fatigue and stress piling up. Ilia could only give her silence as short respite to the tired, weary soul.
As if trying to take her mind off the topic, Blake’s focus went to the crowd. She sized up the mob and measured the volatility of the situation. Her eyes scrutinized protestors’ pockets, their age, appearances, race, and health. An action that became habit over the years.
It was then, her instincts caught onto a peculiarity showing up more and more frequently.
A few of those in the mob had black blotches and bone crusting their flesh. It looked something like skin necrosis eating away at their bodies. The irises of their eyes also took on a reddish hue that was definitely not their original pigment.
Corruption.
The term sent something cold in the pit of Blake’s stomach. It was a disease growing more prevalent in the Faunus population. A sickness that spared no man, woman, or child—from becoming Grimm.
The cause of Corruption wasn’t identified. Even the fact whether it was contagious or not was still unknown. Unease understandably grew as they couldn’t determine the vector, in which the condition spread. And with that unease, came more Grimm.
A few of Blake’s friends already succumbed to the disease. Even more of them, were still fighting it. But as if Vacuo’s civil war wasn’t a daunting enough battle, the Corruption never failed to rend her spirits lower.
She could barely bring herself to look at them. There would only be pity in her gaze, and she understood a long time ago, pity was the last thing most people wanted. Especially a certain former teammate.
But Blake had a job to do.
Government officials and tribal leaders were beginning to exit the building. Motorcades were being arranged for the Factions’ aristocrats. Sienna’s own protective detail called ahead to inform Blake, Ilia, and Sun that they were making their way towards the doors.
The young woman’s sense of duty steeled her emotions. If it was back in her Beacon Academy days, she might not have been able to pull it off. But the current her was a far calling from the child she once was. A coldness that gave her permission to do what was necessary took root.
And then, her paranoia highlighted something in the mob. The Corrupted she noticed earlier, they just positioned themselves in even spaces along the barricade.
It could be a coincidence. More likely, it was an attack. Who would orchestrate such a thing? Adam? But this was a peace meeting with Southern Faction representatives present.
And then, Blake remembered with a grim sickness.
There’s nothing Adam isn’t willing to do.
She wheeled on the doors opening behind her, pushing Sienna’s protective detail the way they just came through.
At the same time, the Corrupted in the crowd drew chunks of Dust from their pockets. They crunched the raw energy propellant between their teeth. The mixed natures of Grimm and Dust reacted violently until there was no room for recourse.
Several explosions detonated the perimeter of the building’s steps. Fire, ice, and lightning wrought havoc on the surroundings. And craters, which used to be people, littered the streets.
All was silent for a second…
And then, there were the sounds of running steps accompanied by a number of screams. But the figures weren’t going away from the building yet. Most of those caught in the explosion hadn’t had time to even pick themselves up. No, there were people charging the tribal leaders and what remained of the security personnel.
A second wave of explosions went off.
Now, utter chaos was ensuing. People running and crying in all directions. Blown debris falling everywhere, covering everything in thick clouds. The sounds of weapons being fired echoed with distortion. All sense of direction was practically lost in the mess of violence.
And then, came the third wave of explosions.
There was only panic, only fear for survival in everyone’s minds. Everyone—save for maybe, one.
“Ilia! Sun! Reform the perimeter!” Blake ordered into her radio.
No response.
Her first impulse was to go search for them, but cold experience kicked into her like a sharp knife. She knew it wasn’t over, it was just the beginning. The next pattern in the move was clear as day.
“Dammit!” she cursed, and then looked to the protective detail she pushed inside the building. “Call reinforcements! Leave a security element here to help reform the perimeter! The rest of you, come with me! We need to escort Sienna to the back exit!”
After staring blankly at the young woman for a moment, the orders snapped them back to reality.
““Yes, ma’am!”” a number of guards confirmed, and began moving.
Blake looked behind her, and almost stopped herself at the scene of carnage. Bodies strewn about the steps. Wounded people begging for help. Ilia and Sun, nowhere to be seen. And out of the thick smog, manic silhouettes ran towards them.
Blake didn’t think. She automatically sent her clones towards the figures, putting them in body locks. Her shadows detonated in a cloud of darkness.
The next wave came, and Blake brandished her Gambol Shroud. She flicked the strap of her blade, and severed several hands about to consume Dust. A second whip, and her weapon relieved the bombers of their heads down to their necks.
From the streets, she could barely make out vans pulling up. People with White Fang masks came out, and began unloading gunfire in their direction.
Blake turned to the group of bodyguards around Sienna.
“MOVE! MOVE!”
Bullets flew in droves on their position. Some of the security were filled with holes, while others returned fire on Blake’s orders.
The young woman hurriedly rushed the security group on their feet, and began leading them through the maze of the building’s interior. She had memorized the layout and possible escape routes beforehand. While navigating the detail through, she contacted other members of their White Fang on the premises.
“I need Second Armored standing by Exfil Point B! Beware Faunus showing signs of Corruption, subdue on sight! Report when site is secure!
She checked back on Sienna, who was no longer in her wheelchair, but carried by two bodyguards from each side. It seemed she took a heavy part of one of the blasts, despite Blake’s best efforts. Her consciousness faded in and out in random intervals.
The rest of their group watch their backs and sides, trying their best to do their due diligence. The fear was apparent in all of them. There was also the fact they were leaving comrades behind. Many of whom, were probably severely injured and required emergency medical attention.
Maybe, Ilia and Sun among them.
For a brief second, Blake wondered if what she was doing was cold. Perhaps, too cold of her.
Her friends could still be alive, there were other important figures who could be evacuated with Sienna… But her priorities were clear. Those who were injured, were already injured. Sienna was all they could manage.
Blake could only make sure to save the life in front of her first, in hopes that it would lead to more later. Even if she went back now, they would probably lose more in the process. It was a tough truth to swallow, but she learned it the hard way. And choosing lives was the worst thing she ever learned in these past ten years.
“—Site is secure, ma’am!” a voice came over the radio.
Blake pushed through the doors of the back exit to make sure things were safe. A row of armored vehicles with rumbling engines lined the street. There were also a few corpses of Corrupted bleeding on the floor.
Once Blake confirmed they were clear, she ushered her group to one of the cars in the awaiting motorcade.
“Alright. Easy does it.” She helped Sienna into the passenger seat.
“Blake…” Sienna groaned. “You’re coming…aren’t you?”
“No. My people are still back there. You’ll be safe. They won’t have planned to take out a second motorcade.”
“It’s too dangerous to go back.”
“…I can’t abandon them.”
“Idiot…”
“Take care, Sienna. I’ll check in when everything’s over.”
“Make sure you do…It’s too early for you to die…Blake.”
With her last fading words, Sienna drifted into unconsciousness.
Blake turned to the group of bodyguards.
“Make sure you get our doctors to look at her, the ones we know we can trust. Send me constant updates on her health. If anything unexpected happens, I want to know immediately.”
The security nodded promptly, and took their seats on each side of Sienna. Even before the doors were completely shut, the cars bobtailed it into the streets. More explosions could be heard from the front of the building, and even from around the corners.
Blake’s night was only just beginning.
.

.
It was near midnight when she finally made it home. The reclusive house buried into one of the barren mountainsides stood with its lights still on.
They’re still up?
They probably saw what happened on the news.
I didn’t call them, even though that was probably one of the first things I should’ve done.
Mom’s probably mad.
I’m glad I stopped Dad from going to the meeting.
Made the right decision on that part, I guess.
Blake slinked her way up the lodge’s porch. Her feet stopped just short of the door. A hand rested on the knob, but she wanted a little bit more time before turning it.
After the bombing attack, Blake had done her best to salvage the situation. The number of casualties was staggering. Some key North Tribal Leaders were killed, or in a hospital bed on death’s door. Countless civilians and soldiers lost their lives…
Fortunately, Ilia and Sun weren’t among them.
The two barely escaped with a few light injuries. They were actually well enough to force Blake into going home, insisting that they could manage the rest.
And throughout the whole ordeal, the young woman didn’t even realize how injured she herself was.
Taped gauze bandaged an arm and leg. She suffered cuts around her head, which she only noticed when blood dripped in one of her eyes. There was an ache in her shoulder, from whichever explosion dislocated it. Probably another popped it in again without her knowing until now.
They’re going to be mad…
Blake resigned herself to the shower of angry worry her parents were going to drown her in.
The knob turned, and she entered. From the dining room two voices beckoned over.
“Blake, honey! You’re finally here!” Kali Belladonna rushed to hug her daughter.
“We’re glad you made it out safe,” Ghira said warmly from the table.
In contrast to what Blake expected, her parents didn’t seem as upset as she thought. Sure, she was a full-grown adult already, but that never stopped them from treating her like she was still their little girl five. And considering she didn’t call them, they seemed oddly sure she was safe.
“Honestly! Would it have hurt to call us to say, you were okay?” Kali huffed.
Ah, here it is.
“If you’re friend hadn’t told us you were alright, we would’ve been worried sick!”
Blake’s heartbeat stopped.
“Friend?” she couldn’t help blurting out.
Immediately, she noticed an unknown figure previously obstructed by her father’s large build. Her hand palmed Gambol Shroud on her side, ready to draw it…
And then, her insides went immediately cold.
“—Hey, Blake! Looks like things got hairy out there.”
She could only stare at the girl in silent disbelief. The girl who she thought she might never see again. The girl who was cheerfully eating something her parents probably cooked.
“From the news, it sounded pretty bad,” the house guest continued with a chipper attitude. “But, still in one piece, huh?”
Only a single despondent word escaped her lips.
“…Yang...”

Smoke, Flasks, and Unfinished Tasks
Hey. So. Remember THIS fill from like... a week and a half ago? Because of the comments I received I decided to rewrite it as a multi-chapter fic. The first chapter has the same premise but is completely written (barring a couple lines) and has many new scenes. Like a hint as to where the trio is maybe?
AO3 Link!
Summary: It had been over a year since MK had become the Monkie Kid. Months since Mei formed an unlikely bond with the Monkey King. Fewer months since Red Son had defected from his parents and was desperate to prove to everyone he could change a second time. In all that time a routine was set, communication alleys were formed, and agreements were made. Things had been going well.
Now the trio was missing without a single clue to where they had gone. And they weren't the only ones.
Warnings: None for this chapter, but perhaps mind the tags on AO3 for future ones.
Chapter 1: Thunder and Lightning
They were late. They had made sure to remind him of their plans multiple times last night... and they were late.
Sun Wukong, The Monkey King himself, would have been starting to get angry if he wasn't so worried. He wouldn't be surprised if Mei was late, it wasn't odd for her get distracted by some new thing she wanted to show him and take the time to get it before coming by. But Red Son and MK as well? That wasn't normal. MK had only been late to training once, that had been during the entire incident with Macaque training tricking him (they don't talk about that anymore), but even then he wasn't this late. Not to mention Red Son's thickheaded determination to show off just how serious he was about joining their side. He'd made promise after promise and did his best to keep his word in attempt to impress them, even going as far as going far over and earlier than what he promised.
The three of them were supposed to come to Flower Fruit Mountain for the day. Some training for MK, video games with Mei, and Red Son just tagging along so someone could keep an eye on the new comer (by Red Son's own insistence). They never showed. Didn't even send him an e-mail. He'd waited almost a hour, a personal record for patience, but not a peep from any of them. Something was wrong.
That was why he found himself standing outside of Pigsy's Noodles in the middle of the day disguised as a human, tail wrapped around his waist as a "stylish belt". Though, in retrospect, a mysterious man with flawless eyeliner falling from the sky without a single injury was not the most inconspicuous way to arrive. He didn't take the time to think about that, instead entering the noodle shop with a hastiness in his step he couldn't hide.
"Welcome to Pigsy's Noodles, home of the lon-oh..." The chipper greeting from the shop owner was cut off, a mix of annoyance and confusion taking over the tone. Pigsy looked over the counter at him and the ever present Tang turned around in suit. "It's just you. Ain't you supposed to be not here? With the trio?"
"Yeah," Wukong started, laughing oddly as he rubbing the back of his neck. There was an awkwardness he wished he could get rid of, something that didn't really belong on him. But things had always been tense between him and his once-younger brother and the tenseness had only grown since their separation after the journey. After he trapped the Demon Bull King. After he vanished for 500 years... after he came back. "See, funny story about that! I was waiting for them and you know how impatient I am but I was doing my best to not be so I waited for almost an hour and they kinda never... showed up?"
"What do you mean never showed up?" Pigsy questioned carefully, coming around he counter and brandishing a ladle in one hand.
"They did leave pretty late," Tang offered quickly, awkward smile showing he could sense the tension between the two old friends. "Red Son was fixing some of the equipment in the kitchen, maybe they ran into a demon and are on their way to the island right now! Maybe you just... missed them?"
"Yeah!" Wukong agreed immediately, laughing harder to hide his worry. Tang didn't seem convinced by his own explanation but Wukong as more willing to believe that without question than think about what the alternative could mean. "Yeah, that's probably it! I'm sure they're just fine, but if it makes you feel better I'm going to take a look around. If they make it there before I do they're sure to come home when they realize I didn't wait for them. Yup, totally sure of it. BYE!"
He ran out the door, jumping on his cloud faster than anyone could follow and took off in the direction of his home. He didn't miss the odd frown on Pigsy's face at his overly quick reaction.
----------
They weren't anywhere he could see on the way to Flower Fruit Mountain. They weren't on the island or in any of the surrounding areas. There were no boats or any sign of a pogo ride on the staff on the sandy beach. There was just... nothing.
He only waited for another 10 minutes before the concern (not worry, he was not worried the three were very capable adults despite him thinking of them as his kids kids, one was even an ancient demon who nearly bested him centuries ago for Heaven's sake) took over once again and his somersault cloud was getting more distance this day that it had in years. He zipped back and forth over the ocean, looking for any sign of bodies people, boats, anything, and he breathed a sigh of relief when he found absolutely nothing in the calm and clear water. But this only raised more questions. They had left Pigsy's, there were witnesses, but had they made it to- Sandy! He was so focused on them coming by that he forgot how they would get there!
----------
"I'm sorry, elder brother," Sandy said with a frown. "They weren't going to come by today, see?" He held up his phone, way too small for his massive hands, a text from Mei reading "Took ur boat yestday, srry! Will return tmm! *heart heart heart cat*" Well. That at least explained how they were supposed to get there without going to Sandy.
The Monkey King, changed back to his usual form, took a half shaky breath and sipped the tea the fish demon had offered him the moment he opened the door. Mo sat in his lap, purring softly as he no doubt sensed the tension in the air. "Then where are they..?" He wondered out loud. He hadn't seen one of Sandy's boats anywhere, they stuck out like a big blue sore thumb just like his still-younger brother.
"I don't know," Sandy answered, standing and stretching before giving the shorter man a wide smile. "But I'll do anything to help!"
----------
He'd returned to Pigsy's shop immediately after that, not bothering to change back into his human disguise. That took so little energy and time but it was still energy and time he didn't want to waste. It had just started to sprinkle rain, the weather station having planned this for some time now. He had sent Sandy out to check all the waterways in the area, just to be safe, and he hoped that his search would be fruitless. He really hoped he sent Sandy on a wild goose chase...
"Are they back?" He demanded the second he opened the door, startling the 2 customers in the shop in addition to Tang and Pigsy. "Pigsy, Tang, did they come back?"
The dawning worry on the two men's faces was enough of an answer for Wukong to immediately run out, ignoring the shouts that followed him as he flew off again.
----------
It was starting to rain harder. They weren't at Mei's house.
----------
It was starting to downpour. He didn't see them at any of the food stalls.
----------
The downpour worsened. They weren't at the anti-gravity arcade.
----------
It was a torrential downpour. Red Son's apartment was empty.
----------
There was electricity in the air. They hadn't been taken to the hospital.
----------
Thunder and lightning. He carefully flew around DBK and PIF's hideout. He heard them talking about their next plan to "knock sense" into their son. They weren't there.
----------
It was when he was nearly struck by lightning, nothing that would have actually caused him real harm but would have hurt like he'd been hit by a truck, that Sun Wukong finally decided that he wasn't going to find the trio. Not like this. Running around without a plan was not helping. He wouldn't find his kids like this.
So he made his way back to Pigsy's, soaked to the bone and brain fuzzy. Numb almost, not from the cold but in a mental exhaustion he couldn't explain. He walked in with his head down, dripping icy water from his fur, and was greeting with an almost as cold hiss before he could say anything.
"Where are my kids, Wukong?"
He looked up and took in the sight before him. Pigsy, Tang, Sandy, and Mo were all gathered in the shop. He hadn't even noticed it was closed until that moment. Sandy had a towel over his shoulders, as did the little blue cat, and they sat sipping a bowl of hot broth each.
"You said they'd come home. So, where are they?"
Wukong grit his teeth, continuing to avert his eyes from the furious gaze of his once-brother. "Idon'tknow..."
"What was that?" Pigsy almost yelled, stepping forward to grab he tails of his soaked cloak to drag hi down to eye level. "You said they'd come home! Where the FUCK are my kids, Sun Wukong!?"
"I don't know!" He grabbed Pigsy's hands, not gripping them or moving to remove them just holding them, grip shaking as he tried to keep his tone level. "I don't know, Pigsy, I looked everywhere but... I couldn't..."
For a split second there was nothing but disbelief and fear in the shorter ancient's eyes and it hurt Wukong more than he thought it would. Far more than he prepared himself for. Everything from the entire day came forth to hit him like the lightning truck he barely missed and he collapsed to his knees, mental exhaustion finally taking it's toll and tears began to mix with the rain water running down his fur as he looked off into nothing. He came to the horrifying realization that he really had no answer.
"I don't know where they are Pigsy..."
----------
"You ok, bud?"
MK groaned as the Monkey King grabbed him by his arms and stood him up, brushing all the dirt from his clothes. Training had been going well, Red Son and Mei battling each other in the new Monkey Mech game as he continued to have his butt handed to him. But he had gotten a single hit in on his mentor, matching his last training session, and he looked so proud of him! "Yeah, we gonna go again?"
"Nah, I think making a new crater with your own body twice in one day is more than enough," Monkey King laughed out, guiding MK toward the small house he called home now. "Besides, I want to kick your butt in Monkey Mech too!"
"Hey! I'll totally kick your butt!"
"Prove it Monkie Man!"
Despite the lighthearted banter between them something just felt... off. MK couldn't quite put his finger on it... now that he really gave it thought...
Didn't the weather station call for rain today?

Smoke, Flasks, and Unfinished Tasks: Chapter 4
AO3 Link!
Chapter 1 Link!
Chapter 2 Link!
Chapter 3 Link!
Summary: No one is happy with Wukong’s suggestions, not even Wukong himself. But they only have so many options and depending on what they learn from certain demons they have fewer options going forward.
Warnings: Discussion of past canon violence in Journey To The West
Chapter 4: Oh I can back them up and than some, show me what you got
"Have you lost your fucking MIND!?” Pigsy snapped, getting up and grabbing the tails of Wukong’s cape to drag him down to eye height. “DBK? The Demon Bull King? You want us to team up with HIM!? You buried him under a mountain for centuries, what makes you think he’d agree to that!?”
“Red Son.”
Pigsy froze for a moment, grimacing as he began taking the time to think this response over. The Demon Bull family had a... difficult relationship with Red Son, one that was undeniably unhealthy (and now that he had seen how much Red had mellowed out and blossomed since defecting to their side it was one the pig was glad he was out of). But the two demons were clearly protective of him in their own twistedly weird way.
He remembered how much they fought during their attempts to gain Princess Iron Fan's fan, fueled by anger at Wukong defeating their son and sending him off as Guanyin's disciple. MK had told him how PIF herself had defended Red from DBK when he was possessed by the White Bone Spirit, Red explaining that they had never stood for anyone physically hurting him outside of a proper battle when the topic eventually came up again, so there was some level of... care there somewhere. Bizarre and messed up care. Even if he didn't think it was anywhere near enough to make up for whatever had happened to undo Guanyin's teachings, it was something...
Something that they could use to their advantage to get them on their side temporarily.
"I hate it to admit it," Pigsy conceded with a gruff sigh as he let go of the monkey's cape tassels. "But you might be right. If they know he's missing they'll come runnin to look for him, and I’d rather them learn from us and work with us than fight against them if they find out themselves.”
He looked back at his phone, setting up the map on his phone to the nearest docks. “I don't like it, and if we DO ask for their help there ain't no way we're letting them get close to being alone with Red! I really don’t like that we even have to consider it, but if that’s what it takes I’ll do it.”
To say everyone looked surprised by his quick concession was an understatement, even Wukong himself raised an eyebrow at the shorter man. But no one knew what to really say to argue against it.
“So...” Wukong finally said as he stood with a smirk, dried and looking as regal as he ever did. “What’s the official plan, brother?”
“Sandy, head straight for the docks,” Pigsy said with a smirk back, pointing to each of them in turn. “You’re gonna talk to the dock masters and get all the info you can out of them. Tang, you and I are going together and I want you to call all the food stalls and shops in the area to see if they’re still open and if anyone is still workin who remembers seeing them. If anyone finds something we call the other and keep them updated.”
He turned to Wukong, eyes blazing in that same determination he had during their old journey. “First off, get an umbrella from my lost and found so you don’t drench yourself again. Then I want you to head to the weather station. Human disguise, no disguise, I don’t care how much you gotta show off just get them to stop the storm. You’re the only one of us with a lawyer on speed-dial, get them to bail you out if you gotta.”
Had it been 500 years ago Wukong probably would have teased the pig demon for taking charge like this. But now, all Pigsy could see in his face was the same determination he felt and some odd aura of pride coming from him. “Whatever it takes.”
“Whatever it takes.”
----------
The plan was working surprisingly well, all things considered. Over the course of the last hour Sandy had managed to find his boat (it had indeed been confiscated for illegally parking and the dock-master was more than willing to let it slide with a warning) so they knew where they were supposed to go. Wukong himself had made quick work of the weather station, apparently just showing up as The Monkey King was enough to get the station head to approve a change of weather for the rest of the day (once the poor guy on duty managed to get him to look at the screen to prove he was really there). At the very least Wukong’s lawyer would have a much easier week.
Because of this, Wukong (now in human disguise again) and Sandy were able to meet back up with Pigsy and Tang, the later after taking the most obvious route to get to the food stalls the trio was last seen at. If he had found any evidence of them taking that route it would have made everything so much easier, but he hadn’t even found a scrap of cloth. But progress was progress.
“And you’re sure you never saw them?”
“Sorry, man, I’ve been here all day and I’d remember seein the guy who brings my lunch twice a week and saves the city twice as much,” the cashier said with an apologetic shrug. “Wish I could help ya more... when ya see the guy, tell him I’ll hold his game for him, it’s the least I could do.”
“I will, and you’ve helped us a lot more than you think,” Tang said, turning to leave the shop. “Thank you for your time!” He rushed out, grouping back up with the other three adults (and one cat).
“OK, apparently MK was supposed to pick up another game from this used game store before heading to training and they never came to pick it up!” He announced, accepting the offered coffee from Sandy and taking a gulp of it and wincing at the bitterness. But he needed the fuel. “Oh, that is disgusting... But back to the search, we know a rough area where they had to disappear from now!”
“Hmn...” Wukong wasn’t looking at Tang, instead watching the high space between two buildings to the side of them. “And I bet a certain someone we talked about earlier knows about that area too...”
The rest of the group looked down the alley and finally put two and two together about where exactly they were and realized it lead into the part of the shopping district where Pigsy always went to get fresh ingredients. The exact same part where a certain eight legged demon happened to make her home underground. When they followed Wukong’s gaze upward they could see the tiny spiderweb that had caught his attention.
“Oh God damn it,” Tang groaned.
----------
No one was happy about this, least of all Pigsy and Tang. But small bits of luck, they weren’t entering the lair of the Spider Queen by falling down a scary nightmare hole this time. Instead they drove to that nearest dock for Sandy to take the confiscated boat so the three non-flying men could enter from the escape route they had made the last time they had been down there (with some assistance getting through the still broken sewer drain). Once they were under the still wide open hole Wukong had flown them all up on his cloud one by one.
And it was still as musty and spider webby as it had been before. They knew it was pointless to try sneaking around, instead just keeping their guard up as they made their way toward the main lair.
“Maybe she’s out,” Sandy offered when they saw no sign of her, scratching his head.
“Or maybe she’s been watching you the whole time~.” The three non-monkey team members jumped at the voice of the Spider Queen, moving closer to Sun Wukong as she slowly descended from the ceiling. “Monkey King! To what do I own the prestigious displeasure of seeing you again?” Her voice held the same playful tone as before, but there was an edge of tenseness and anger under it. “I certainly hope you haven’t harmed any more of my family on your way in, ape.”
From their vantage point his teammates could see Wukong’s fur bristle in annoyance at the slight. “I think you of all people would know not to call me that.”
“Ah, yes, I remember our last meeting,” The Spider Queen bit back as she made herself comfortable on the other side of the room, as comfortable as she could get in a stance clearly ready to run off at any moment. “The one where you squashed all of my sisters alive and I barely managed to escape. My apologies. It’s good to know you haven’t forgotten about me entirely.”
“If you play nice I can promise this meeting will have much fewer spider guts decorating your walls,” Wukong hissed out, crossing his arms as he took a step forward. “It will be much shorter too. We just want some information.”
The Spider Queen hissed right back, crawling back a foot up the wall. “I’m not stupid enough to want to fight you again, not now. Go on, ask so we can get this little reunion over and done with.”
Tang watched as the spiders that surrounded them all seemed to move back in tandem with their queen, following suit for their own safety most likely. She was much more subdued this time around, and there was no playful tone in her voice anymore. Something told him the stories he pictured, where Monkey King squashed the six other spider sisters in tiny spider forms, were much less accurate than he originally imagined. He shuddered at the thought.
“Did you have any spiders out near the shopping district before the storm today?”
Raising an eyebrow, the Spider Queen waved her hand and called over a small handful of her normal sized spider minions. She held them up to her ear, listening to them without taking her gaze off the Monkey King. “Ah I see... so the little Monkie Kid and his friends are missing.” She allowed herself a smirk for half a second before frowning again. “Didn’t know going missing was contagious.”
“What does that mean?” Tang asked without thinking, flinching back when her gaze fell on him for a moment.
“That little trio isn’t the first group my spiders have overheard people looking for,” The Spider Queen elaborated, gently putting the spiders on her nearest web. “And unfortunately for me, that means it’s probably good you came here. Fantastic.” She crawled down off the wall, moving sideways and over to little cauldron pot thing she had planned on stewing Pigsy and Tang in, picking up... a business card? “Catch.”
She tossed the card to Wukong who caught it effortlessly, looking a the slightly haphazardly drawn but surprisingly professionally printed card with surprise. “’Jin and Yin, Gold and Silver Demon Tech Services. For whatever anti-Monkie Kid and non-anti-Monkie Kid tech you may need...’? Those two are still around?”
“And they owe me a replacement for something of theirs your Kid broke the last time he was here, probably would have gotten it sooner if I had noticed faster,” she scoffed, shaking her head. “They were supposed to meet me here a week ago and they’ve vanished to who knows where. No one who has any orders from them can find them. It’s like they were sucked into one of their calabashes.”
“Their WHAT?” Wukong snapped, his voice echoing in the cave and making his companions flinch at the volume.
“Did... did that Kid not tell you?” The Spider Queen asked in genuine surprise. “Those two wouldn’t shut up about it after it happened, they’ve been making calabashes with some kind of VR tech and somehow managed to catch the Monkie Kid on their own! It didn’t work for long, obviously, but the fact they had him went to their heads for like a month. Pretty obnoxious, actually.”
There was a growl heard from the back of Wukong’s throat. “Well... this isn’t exactly what I expected to hear from you.”
The Spider Queen hummed, looking thoughtful for a moment. “You know, I have no love lost for your kids or those two and quite frankly I don’t care what happens to them.” She smirked a bit at Pigsy’s snapped “HEY!” before frowning again. “But them going missing together? That just feels like an even worse storm is coming down and I don’t like the feeling of how that bodes for me. Maybe nothing will come of it. Maybe it’ll help me. But I don’t want to take that chance.”
Suddenly she jumped backward, situating herself on a large web far out of their reach high in her cave. “Your kids vanished after they got to the food market. They went into a tea shop and never came out. That’s all my babies saw. Now take your leave.”
----------
“Yin, this is a terrible idea!”
“Well we can’t exactly get out of ‘ere while she’s gone, now can we?” Yin snapped, bandaging a small cut on his elder brother’s head from when he hit the floor. “Do you have a better idea?”
The Gold Horned Demon sighed, shaking his head once the bandage was on. “No... no I don’t. I should though, I’m the one that got us into this bloody mess.”
“And now you can be the one to get us out of it. Hopefully.” Yin bit his lip, listening carefully as he picked something up. “Right, she’ll think you’re still in here restin’ after she hit you with too much of that smoke stuff. I’ll cover you as long as I can. Ready?”
“Ready.”
“Is your name Jin?”
“... Yes.”

Lasting Embers pt18: Brewing Storm
[Blake’s Study]
*giant bookshelves on each side and a skylight up top. A desk with a stack off papers on it with Sun hard at work*
Sun:*wearing reading glasses*.......
“You look good in glasses; so official”
Blake:*wearing nothing but one of his shirts half buttoned up and no pants* You’re up early; I woke up and was surprised you weren’t there.
Sun:Had work that needed to be processed. Almost had it done before our unexpected reunion last night. I wish I was in bed.
Blake:*drapes herself over him* Not surprising, you barely got a wink of sleep last night. *kisses his neck and face*
Sun:*chuckles* Gee I wonder why? *reaches his left hand up to rub her ear.
Blake:*purring* Can you blame me? I spent ten years missing you. I like your new clothes by the way; orange is nice on you.
Sun:Thanks, I was going for a sunset vibe. After all my “moon” wasn’t around to make the tougher decisions. So I had to channel some of my inner Blake hehehe.
Blake:Active High Leader Sun Wukong. Looks like the people don’t even need me. Maybe you should keep the job for good.
Sun:Please don’t joke like that. I don’t know how I’ve kept this thing going for a decade but you can have it all back. I miss being second in command.
Blake:Well it’s a good thing I’m more than happy to be back. *picks up some papers* Is this the report from Illia?
Sun:Yeah, prevented another assassination attempt on Whitley. Not to mention the our unwanted guest that were promptly dealt with thanks to the little terror of the desert. Jael really is something else.
Blake:I met up with them before I came here. She looks healthy which is good; also she’s grown like a weed. Wouldn’t be surprised if she’ll outgrow my clothes in awhile.
Sun:She definitely has her father’s intensity that’s for sure. I’m worried about these attacks; there’s never been such a drastic attempt like this. Especially back to back. How did the last part of your mission go?
Blake:A lot of explosions in a mine. *pulls out a map with dozens of red x’s on it* we hit every single one we found. Even went around the world twice for a year just to be sure. Maybe this is a last stitch effort?
Sun:.....I hope so. *stands up* you might wanna get dressed. Adam should be back in a few hours, there’s a festival tonight for your return, I’m sure Illia wants to spend time with you, not to mention your parents.....
Blake:Sigh, no rest for the wary. Guess I’ll go shower, but.....*grabbing Suns arm* you’re helping me wash. High Leader’s orders.
Sun:*smiling* Well if they’re orders!
[Jaune’s Porch]
*Ruby sitting down and taking off her shoe*
Yang:*opening the door*I was wondering where you were. Go for an early jog or something?
Ruby:Visited dad. Felt nostalgic about seeing our home again. Almost nothing as changed; except the boarded up doggy door....
Yang:Oh....how long?
Ruby:Three years; Zwei just ran out of bark he said. Wish I got to hold him one more time.
Yang:Yeah that’s rough. *sits next to her* So, how long you’re bunking with us? Not that anybody wants you gone but I assume you want your own place?
Ruby:My home burnt down before our adventure started. Sure I could easily get another one but.....I’m in no rush to be alone.
...........
Ruby:This is gonna sound terrible but a piece of me wishes I didn’t have to deal with readjusting to life. Maybe our last mission should’ve been my-
Yang:Don’t say it...*holds her hand tightly* there’s no way I could’ve lived with myself coming home without you.
Ruby:....I’m sorry. I should no better than to say things like that by now.
Yang:You’ll get through this, with me. Just like always. I’m always in your corner sis. *smiles*
Ruby;....*hugs her tightly* Yang, I don’t know what I’d do without you. Thank you for everything; for being my sister. *whimpering*
Yang:*looking up at the sky*
*Dark clouds forming in the distance*
Yang:*rubbing Ruby’s head* (A storm is coming. Why.....am I worried?)
[Vale]
*alarm clock ringing*
Tenzen:*in his bed*Zzzzzzz
Ren:*shaking him* Tenzen wake up! You’ve over slept again.
Tenzen:Zzzzzz
Ren:Pancakes are made.
Tenzen:Zzzzzzz
Ren:Yujin made them...
Tenzen:*jumps up* Lies! She makes french to- what time is it?
Ren:Past sunrise; your mother is probably waiting for you to show up and running drills again.
Tenzen:Shoot! She’ll probably ramp up the difficulty now. *starts zipping around his bedroom causing the lights to flicker*
Ren:You might blow a fuse at this rate *catches him as he passes by* remember to eat before moving like that or you might just ended up worn out and sleepy again.
Tenzen:Valid point, I’ll probably end up grabbing some snacks to eat before I see her.
Ren:*holds up a protein bar* here, I doubt you have time to make breakfast.
Tenzen:You’re the best. I’m surprised you haven’t made breakfast yet.
Ren:*points to luggage outside* I’ve been preoccupied this morning.
Tenzen:*eyes widened* Already going on the medical trip? Didn’t think you’d pack so soon.
Ren:Nora is finishing up your training, thanks to you everything is paid for, and hopefully by next month you’ll ace the entrance exam to Beacon. Looks like you don’t need me around anymore.
Tenzen:Don’t phase it like that. *hugs him* I’m always gonna need you dad. Have a safe trip and speedy recovery! Looking forward to dancing with you whenever you return.
Ren:As long as there’s no camera; I’ll leave internet fame to you.
Tenzen:Deal! *suited up in his previous attire* well I’m off to another brawl in the emerald forest.
Ren:Some advice, go after your mom first.b
Tenzen:Got it! *dashes away*
Ren:*still holding the protein bar* Hehe Nora he is like you through and through sometimes.
*Blake fully clothed in a version of her father’s chief outfit. Complete with the the purple and gold family colors*
Blake:*drying her hair* You know it’s impolite to spy on people right? *looks up at the rafters*
Adam:I see you haven’t lost a step. *jumps down* also you sort of hired me to spy remember? *kneels*
Blake:*opens her arms* Stop with the formalities and greet me like an old friend. Or did you forget how to do that?
Adam:Sassy as always I see. *hugs her* Good to see you safe; I’ll admit I had my doubts.
Blake:You think you’d know better than to bet against your first pupil. *moves his hair* how’s seeing the world with two eyes?
Adam:Bright hehehe, but really nice. You’ve been back long?
Blake:Just since last night. Stopped by and visited your family. Jael has become quite the looker.
Adam:It terrifies me every day.
Blake:*snorts* got to talk to her a little bit. She seems lonely. Also missing you a lot.
Adam:Things haven’t exactly been....easy for her. It’s a lot to talk about.
Blake:Well there’s gonna be special spot here for higher ups only during the festival. You could bring your family without worrying about people seeing you; maybe we could all catch up them?
Adam:*rubbing the back of his neck* That might do her some good honestly. I sort of think I’m screwing up the one good thing I’ve brought into this world.
Blake:*smiles*......
Adam:What?
Blake:It feels really good to just talk to you again. We’ve been through some shit you and I. I missed this.
Adam:*smiles* You’re such a sap....
Blake:Wow! Okay you jerk. *folds her arms and smiles* the real sap is you; family life suits you well.
Adam; It’ll probably do wonders for you too. You’re only thirty something. It’s not too late.
Blake:*blushing* Mind your business! I just got back and that’s what you want to say!?
Adam:I’m just saying you might want to think about it. Sun won’t admit it but he was always his happiest spending time with Jael or any kid that ran up to him. *walking away*
Blake:......
Sun:*walks in* Oh hey loser. *holds out fist*
Adam:Sup loser *fist bumps him* see you tonight with my family.
Sun:Aye tell Jael her uncle I’ll make her favorite dessert! *grinning*
Adam:She’s supposed to be eating healthy! *leaves*
Sun:This is why she likes me more! So how was seeing your old everything basically.
Blake:*red*.........fruitful.
*Tenzen sprinting down a dirt path connecting to the forest. Clouds looming over him*
Tenzen:(I hope mom isn’t too mad I’m late. If she is this storm probably won’t my situation. Maybe I should’ve-) *immediately tries to stop. Skidding several feet anyways* What the!?
*trees snapped in half and bullet holes everywhere. Prints of human and multiple grimm types around the area with some blood as he looks around*
Tenzen:......(This isn’t right. So many grimm prints but not much blood. Who could get away from these numbers? Why would different grimm attack in these numbers?) Something doesn’t feel-
“tu...rn arou...nd.....”
Tenzen:*flips around and draws his weapons* Who’s there!? Fair warning I- *gasp* Emerald!?
*a flickering illusion of Emerald dawning a black and green trim version of her outfit points to a bush before fading *
Tenzen:*Walking through the bushes and looking*Emerald.......?
Emerald:Hey kid *cough* up here.....
Tenzen:*drops his weapons on sight; his face going pale* Guys?
*Mercury unconscious and bleeding on Emeralds back. Her chain dangerously close to being around their neck as they hang from a tree*
Emerald:*beaten up* H...help....
Tenzen:*snaps the tree limb off and catches both of them* What happened to you two!? Why are you-*yanked by the color*
Emerald:They....know where *cough* Nora.......
Tenzen:..........
[Launching cliff]
Nora:*sitting down* Late again I see; what am I going to do with that boy? We did spar pretty rough so maybe I can give him a break this one time.
*pit pat pit pat pit......*
Nora:Hmm? *turning around* finally decide to show up Ten- *gasp!!*
*several cult members stand facing her. Dozens of ursas, beowulves, and death stalkers behind them*
M:I’m sorry, were you expecting someone else? *eyes glowing read*
*the rain started to fall.....*
