Parisa always felt like they had a special connection with their religious background, but their views have always been progressive and fluid, which is why they practice in a way that makes them feel both connected to their roots and yet free to live their life in their own way. Parisa refuses to live by the gender binary, so why practice a religion that way? BIOGRAPHY

The idea of freedom had always been something that Parisa embraced. They grew up in a home that traveled, two dads and two siblings that all went on adventures together, before finally settling in Denver when Parisa was just 12. They gave her a home and room to explore life with open, hungry wonder.

Parisa was the kind of kid who played barefoot in the mud, looking for worms and put flowers in their hair. When she found a turtle in a lake on a hike with her dads, they let Parisa take it home. They named it ginger, and they built it a habitat and it became their best friend, whenever Parisa had a free moment, their eyes were on that tiny shelled being.

|TW MENTION OF ANIMAL DEATH and DEATH and RELIGION| Parisa's first, but certainly not last, encounter with death was when they were 14, and Ginger was found dead. While devastated, Parisa also found themselves intrigued, by the circumstances, and suddenly, by death itself. It became a hyper fixation. Encyclopedia research and Google searches were sometimes dark, but informative. While everyone else viewed it as something to be scared of, Parisa soon found that was beautiful, in a way. When Paris learned that they could work in the funeral industry, everything changed for them.

Growing up both Muslim, and Jewish, Parisa knew that in some practices, women weren't allowed to attend funerals and that the individual funeral practices of each religion that they found themself deeply rooted in were also restricting them from working on something they truly felt passionate about, so thus began both Parisa religious, and gender, exploration.

Their gender identity had never been solid, in such a fluid household where gender roles had never been enforced, after therapy and research, Parisa's realization that they were genderfluid came around the same time that their take on religion was also fluid.

Judaism and Islam are two beautiful, but to Parisa, slightly restrictive practices, and since their family had never been fully restrictive, Parisa took that approach with the way they practiced. With as much respect as they could, they moved forward with their line of passion, focusing on their relationship with both themself and God in a way that felt right to them. | TW ENDS|

Arapahoe Community College allowed Parisa to get an Associate of Applied Science degree, Parisa finished their degree in two years and a job for a local funeral home as a funeral assistant, it was about almost three years in Parisa knew that the way they viewed death and funerals didn't align with the job they took on and after contacting someone who had similar views (wc on main), they moved back to Denver and opened IVY LANE.

Parisa has been back in Denver for six years co-running Ivy Lane, living in a home just a five-minute walk from their work.

Do you have face claims for your peeps?

sometimes! i tend to borrow from a few faces rather than stick to a specific one. historically i’ve borrowed from simone ashley a lot for minerva, she has the curls and enormous dark eyes. i end up looking at a lot of bridgerton gifsets even though i don’t go there jgdhsjsks.

it’s harder to find anyone i could point you to for keir, partly bc the way i draw malcolm and leandra would require a very specific ethnic background for their kids, if that makes sense? i mostly work from the leandra bethany and carver presets i have in game, but obviously i have to kind of guess what they were going for especially when i think they were trying for east asian with this preset and da character creators are not great at portraying that. i believe iirc that last time i tried my hand at drawing the family i ended up using a korean actor as a base reference for malcolm and an iranian actress as a base reference for leandra? so um, when i find specifically a korean/iranian faceclaim who also happens to look like keir at all and has the physical build that i want i’ll let you know, lmao. mostly i just borrow features and see how he turns out. it was interesting to try and settle on designs for the family so they all look alike and i’m going to keep the same family preset for my other hawkes, which is a fun design challenge, so i’ll get better at portraying them hopefully. i want all my hawkes to look like they could be siblings

i haven’t settled on any faceclaims for nina... characteristically she is supposed to be quite generic in appearance, a face that except for her scars and tattoo you wouldn’t pick out in a crowd. hard to look for that

overall i don’t like to stick closely to any one faceclaim for my characters anyway or say “yeah that’s exactly what they look like” because then i get buried in my anxiety over whether they look enough like that in game or when i draw them. i am not very good yet so i am just vibing, i could not say if the above influences show up

hi, sorry this took a bit longer! while you can also play the characters using their animated resources from time - skip; here is a range of fc ideas for the house leaders of fe3h: for dimitri and edelgard, these are muses who personally benefit from privilege in their storylines, specifically white privilege. so, the faceclaims i recommend and ask to be used for these muses would be white to reflect the narrative conflicts appropriately. some faceclaims for dimitri are: ross lynch (1995), rudy pankow (1998), and logan shroyer (1999). and, some faceclaims for edelgard are: milly alcock (2000), elle fanning (1998), hunter schafer (1998, trans woman), and freya allan (2001). claude is biracial, half almyran, which in context of the games makes him a person of colour; and looking into references to the cultural aspects that influenced the almyrans, it seems that the almyrans have turkish, iranian, and persian inspiration. his ethnicity as a biracial person is also incredibly important as it is part of his overall narrative; therefore, the faceclaims i would recommend are: aramis knight (persian & white, 1999), shayan sobhian (russian & iranian, 1994), and dominic adams (iranian & white, 1985 / has younger resources)! i couldn't find any turkish & white fcs unfortunately.

RELATIONSHIP TO GREER.

More than anything, Kian’s relationship with the Golden Girl is complicated and somewhat shrouded in mystery and rumours because he refuses to talk about it much. People thought they were friends for a long time, rumours of him having a crush on her developing since he was seen carrying her things around a lot during his Freshman year, always being in her corner and defending her every move. Who would blame him though? She’s the Golden Girl! However, they seemed to only stay friends, like his assumed feelings weren’t reciprocated; Greer getting new boyfriends but never looking twice at Kian. Only seen together a few times during his second Sophomore term people assumed he’d given up and the pair seemed to have drifted apart almost completely this spring before she disappeared. On the contrary to people’s common beliefs, Greer was drunk with power over the new kid who did her bidding and dirty work because he was terrified of doing her wrong. Finally, he dared to stand up for himself and then, she was suddenly gone. This left Kian unsure if he’s feeling lost and more frightened than ever or actually a relief he’s hesitant about how to express.

scar(s): oh boy where do i start. look at this and this... and this. several scars over his torso (see marcus in deadly class) and legs most of them from when he was homeless. a particularly notable scar is one that stretches from his forehead into his right eyebrow a little over an inch and then down his cheek about another inch (gained him the nickname scar after he got it when he was homeless) and then one vertically across the bridge of his nose but that’s from sophomore year.

tw: abuse, homelessness, juvenile detention, underage drinking & substance abuse/addiction

born in miami to a 17 year old couple his grandparents forcefully adopted him because they thought their son and his girlfriend were too young to raise a child. heartbroken, his parents cut ties with them and decided to travel the world before moving to the west coast.

kian could never do anything right with them. whether he was quiet and obedient or loud and messy he still got on their nerves, his grandfather’s temper finally cracking while his grandmother did nothing and kian spent years collecting the courage to finally run away from their home, which he did with much determination when he was twelve years old, not looking back. not really connected to media he never knew if anyone even looked for him.

homeless before his teens, which was exciting at first to see the “world” but then turned more and more rough. kian did the most for cash and managed to travel by bus first to new orleans and then further west, ending up in los angeles by summer 2015 where he got with an older homeless crowd influencing him to drink away his anxiety at the age of 14, also introducing him to other vices like cigarettes and drugs.

in los angeles he also met jesse hart but the beginning of the friendship was short lived, abruptly put on hold when kian got sent to juvenile detention for [redacted]. they quickly realized he didn’t have a family so when he got out of juvie in early 2017 he was supposed to be put into foster care system but through a dna test they found his parents living in sacramento and while not knowing him at all, they were happy to take him back - although it took time and he ran off in the meantime out of panic and was homeless for a few months more. when it was finalized though, he settles with them and... definitely made their lives a lot harder than previously.

yet, he ran away again during the summer of 2019 anyway!!! having applied for a scholarship at ogden college without their knowledge. after all, it was scary as shit having to depend on anyone after being, or at least feeling, alone for so long, wasn’t it? of course, he had no hope he’d get the scholarship but to his surprise!!! he did!!

in excitement/fear/being nervous as shit he ran away first though, to new york for a bit where he worked during the summer and then moved on to new hampshire, that he now lovingly sometimes calls new hampshite, to study history - the only subject he ever liked in high school (that he barely passed)

he didn’t get back to his parents his entire freshman year, nor did he go home during the summer after. they desperately tried to contact him for over a year but didn’t see him again until his sophomore christmas break when he was just standing on their porch all of a sudden. since then they’ve had more contact and he even spent a two weeks with them in sacramento this summer but ran off to new york a week before they were supposed to drive him over there themselves.

MISC. (lil headcanons, fun facts...)

him going to juvie is not public knowledge but also not necessarily a secret, he just doesn’t talk about it and if someone (unless it’s jesse) knows he went to juvie they wouldn’t know for what (meaning a lot of rumors have gone around about the reason). he does joke darkly about his homelessness though, he doesn’t mind people knowing about that.

reuniting with his parents he also found out he has a baby brother, kaden born in 2015 which was both weird and slightly uncomfortable for kian who spent time mostly with their dog, an alaskan malamute.... also named kian :) apparently his parents had separated a year after kian was taken from them but found their way back to each other about eight years later, having a dog and then another child after getting married.

diagnosed ptsd. he should still be in therapy

his grandparents only spoke persian and spanish with him, he learned english from his surroundings and school. after running away spanish came in handy but his persian got a little rusty over the years and he did also resent both languages for a long time because of his grandparents but now he enjoys speaking to his father and brother in either. his mother just knows some basic spanish.

he didn’t have any social media prior to his college freshman year, getting facebook first a few months into his first term and then instagram a couple of months later. not that he uses either of them much at all. he’s also not very tech savvy at all. his phone is a samsung from 2016 that he got from his dad in 2017.

his music taste is a lof of 70s and 80s rock music, a lot because the homeless crowds he ran with in his early teens were older than him and they had old cassettes and CDs with music. he still has an AC/DC cassette he got from one of them. however he is also a hardcore tswift fan okay

still generally bad at a lot of movie references bc he had a window where he didn’t watch any at all for... obvious reasons... but he’s catching up and he lovessss movies and seeing new ones!!! especially action and indie movies. tell him ur fave he’ll probably watch it!!!

Hi. Can you explain how Medalion Rahimi can work as Wanda Maximoff? I read the tags and I am very curious about Mizhari Jews and Romani people. I don't know if I understand correctly.

hi! so first and foremost, i am open to criticism and correction on this absolutely as i am not rroma nor am i jewish, but basically comics!wanda is mixed jewish/rroma, her parents met in a concentration camp. mcu retconned her parenthood but also white and christianwashed her lol? (cross in her room during ca:cw and also elizabeth olsen being straight up. northern european)

anyway, so rroma people are a nomadic people group who are ethnically related to north indians but have been nomadic for several centuries now and have a distinct culture from north india. i initially used alba flores as wanda, because she is spanish-romani, and then continued to use aaron taylor-johnson for pietro because he's jewish and there aren't, to my knowledge, any romani-jewish faceclaims. so in that sense, i was able to represent both facets of the maximoffs' identities.

there's nothing wrong with alba flores, she just has limited material for me to pull from. i'm considering switching to medalion rahimi because she's mizrahi jewish, which refers to jewish people who are southwest asian (also "middle eastern" but that term to me is geographically nonsensical so i don't use it lol), north african, and also, oftentimes, central asian.

so the majority of romani people live in europe, but there's a large population of romani people that live in central asia as well, largely in former parts of the soviet union. my pitch for why medalion works is because she's jewish and belongs to a group of jewish people who overlap significantly with the ethnic origins of romani people, but also because her father is iranian-russian, and both of those places are home to a significant diasporic population of romani people. also, indo-persian synthesis means that there's a significant amount of cultural and migratory exchange between the two countries.

she's not perfect, but i thinks she's an improvement on elizabeth olsen, and just personally more accessible to me given the lack of material available for alba.

𝙝𝙞 𝙗𝙖𝙧𝙗𝙞𝙚! never a bother!! i do know that taylor has self-reported as being of mexican, mediterranean, and part unspecified middle eastern ethnicity. i see a lot of people right now saying that he's mexican or half mexican: he himself has been outspoken about being disappointed by casting directors pigeonholing him as only latino stereotypes!! so let's not do this, please, rpc ♡ but! this does make casting family for him a bit tricky, so i'm going to be doing my best with the information we have.
