Headcanon that after amsterdam Roy buys phoebe a bike and says he's going to teach her and she's confused at first because the last time she asked her uncle Roy about getting a bike/learning to ride he'd told her cyclists were dickheads and took her gokarting instead and promised driving lessons once she was old enough. So he admits he didn't know how to ride one and didn't want to tell her because he was embarrassed but know he knows how and wants to teach her.

But she of course wants to know how he learnt so he has to tell her about Amsterdam while they wait for the bike to be delivered.

And then it does but he has to assemble it himself and fuck that but phoebe is now dead set on learning to ride a bike so he ends up calling Jamie to come help and the two spend like an hour and a half trying to put it together while Phoebe is watching and roasting them before they throw the parts in the boot and take it to the nearest Halfords to get it put together. But then they end up buying themselves bikes while they're there because Phoebe wants to see her Uncle Roy ride a bike and Jamie has put too much effort into this bike shit to just go home before phoebe's learnt anything other than new swearwords from when Roy's fingers got caught In the spokes while they were trying to put the wheels on.

So the three go to the park and Jamie and Roy teach phoebe to ride a bike and spend the day cycling around and Roy steals Jamie's bike for a while after falling off one too many times and makes him run after phoebe as 'training' while he sits with a pasty and watches his niece ride fucking circles around Jamie Tartt

Jan grabbed him by the shoulder to keep him from turning around. "It'll warm up. Now hold still. Half of the car park is matted in your hair."

He'd originally planned to flip the script: have Jamie be the one who came to Roy's house. As it was, Roy had to be up at 3:30 to make it to Jamie's place to start by 4am. One week, he'd given it. One week, and by then if Jamie was still holding up his end of the bargain, then he could prove himself by being the one to make the sacrifice to trudge out of bed the half hour early. Except by the end of that first week, Jamie had crushed his way through every stupid, insane demand Roy'd thrown his way. He approached extra training like it was an Olympic sport he needed perfect marks in. He ran himself ragged following Roy's orders, lapping the Richmond Green at least a dozen times before the sun had even flicked on. He even found time to go out and buy a head lamp. An idiot could see how hard Jamie was trying. By the time Saturday rolled around - a home match that saw the team in loud celebration while Jamie listed tiredly against the wall of his cubby - Roy struggled to rustle up the heartlessness it would've taken to demand even an extra half-hour out of the kid. So Roy's plan to nab an extra twenty-five minutes of sleep fluttered out of his grasp, and instead he found himself, every four-in-the-fucking-morning, knocking on Jamie's door, ready to pick up his responsibility for another day.

Jamie’s jaw cracked on a yawn. "Do you think I should dye my hair?" At Dani's confused look, he explained, "Color it. Do you think I should color it?" Dani bit his lip in consideration. "Verde?" "Eh? FE OC Week - Oct. 9: Introductions

Introducing Emiliya Radha, eldest daughter of the Radha family, ft. Jamie, her young brother 💙💜

Once lived within Plegia from a family of Dark Mages, now residing within a village in Ylisse , hoping to live in peace after an incident that let them to flee there. It was only later on when they come across the Shepards, they soon join Chrom's army to also bring peace to the realms.

Despite her curse that renders her frail, Emiliya still has a compassionate demeanor about her, in comparison to her brother, who despises people. She still is capable of magic, much to make use to help others. She always have to keep an eye on her brother from any further trouble. One who smiles throughout tough times.

Emiliya is born December, Jamie in December

There’s so much subtext in Mom City that I’m kind of devastated they didn’t explore more. Jamie’s mental health issues for one, but also his genuine surprise that Roy and Keeley followed him to his mum’s house in Manchester. Like how many times did he sneak out of team events to go deal with issues on his own? He seeks out his mum, but what did he do when they weren’t talking much? Why was he so prepared to deal with the ankle injury all on his own? And we saw that he wanted to play through the injury if he physically could have. Jamie’s self-worth is directly linked to his football ability and it’s just so interesting. Still loved the episode though!

I know we don't know much about his time at Man City, but I don't exactly get the impression that he had a lot of friends there. So in terms of sneaking out of team events, not going out with the boys for celebrations, etc... i think the probability of that happening was very high when he was in Manchester in particular. And probably a lot of that had to do with making sure he kept his dad away from the team, and even more so, kept what his dad was doing to him away from the team, but the result is him isolating himself from allowing anyone to care about him.

We know his dad was very much tormenting him and I do not think Jamie was particularly forthcoming about that to...well, anyone. So as to why he was prepared to deal with his ankle injury on his own, I think that answers that question. Keeping all of that to himself and hiding injuries and basically having no support system can't have been easy, and I do not think he coped well, frankly. As for what he did when he didn't have his mum to turn to, I think we get our answer with Lust Conquers All. Like, his mental health at the end of s1/beginning of s2 is Bad bad. What we see in Mom City is an echo of some of that, but I can only imagine it was 10x worse between s1 and s2. he was in a very very bad place and I think coming back to Richmond saved him in more ways than one (interestingly, coming back to Richmond is also what saved Roy. They were both absolutely going through it that summer).

I think wanting to play through injuries is a fairly typical trait amongst professional athletes, for whom playing is their life (as we see onscreen, Roy sees it the same way). But I do agree Jamie has an especially heavy history of powering through injuries and equating his self worth to his ability to play, and there are absolutely echoes of that in Mom City as well, which is painful. The episode should've been nine hours long, actually.

Don’t worry, chapter 30 is Jamie and Roy comforting Keeley and going public with their friendship and how close they are

And then chapter 31 is Roy going straight (but not straight) from publicly claiming Jamie as his friend that he actually enjoys spending a stupid amount of time with right into going into boyfriend mode for Jamie in a similar way to how he was with Keeley in chapter 30 and stopping to think about why Jamie has special category of his own status. Plus, he’s also going to have a reason to actually consider that he might not be straight instead of trying to mentally brush it off like if I wasn’t straight I already would have figured it out by now like Jamie and Keeley and Colin did forever ago

It’s weird to be inside Nelson Road again. Keeley hasn’t been here wince before Leo singed with Chelsea but she still remembers where everything is. It’s like going to your ex’s house, but stranger somehow because this place had never really been hers to begin with in the way an ex’s home started to feel once she spent enough time there. Apprehension has her walking slowly, unsure if she’s going to see ghosts of Leo around every corner, reminded of that relationship and how it began. How it crumbled when it ended and she realized not only did she not like who she saw when she looked at him, she didn’t like who she was when she was with him either.

FE OC Week - Oct. 10: Relationships

Here, I wish to focus on her family dynamic, I'll worry about her other relationships in the later date

Jamie Radha: Her little brother, one who she has taken care of ever since his birth (inevitably taken responsibility after their mother died giving birth to him). Jamie was rather close with his sister, as he has a distrust towards people, making it harder to befriend others. He's often most supportive of his sister, and willing to help find a cure to her curse, but Emiliya in return has to be sure he stays out of trouble.

Amal Radha: A surprised to be sure to find she has a son from Lucina's future, despite knowing her body has limits... But Amal came from a future where his mother was given remedy to even bare a child, thanks to his uncle's effort. Much left to say about him , for now it's safe to say that he also holds a compassionate side like his mother, plus more of a trickster thief at hand and learning to use magic.
