OC Halloween Challenge 2023 Wrong Place, Wrong Time Day Fifteen: Home Is Where The Haunt Is

Centuries ago, the dragon realm had been ruled by Queen Lileya and King Jaihen, the two bringing the dragon realm into a new age that didn't involve trying to take over everywhere else like the prior ruler, Elezendra, had wanted, and instead, focused on being peaceful with everywhere else. But sadly, despite having been killed in her defeat, Elezendra even in death, would find a way to get revenge, which included controlling her son, Damatas, to kill Jaihen, the revenge only being stopped from reaching the rest of the royal family by Lileya, with Damatas joining his mother in the afterlife after this. Or at least, its believed they in the afterlife. Because over the years, many rumors have been spread that the palace has been haunted since that time, keeping many out of the palace. Until Jayla's (Marvel Descendants) arrival, that is. Having grown up outside of the dragon realm for...complicated reasons, Jayla at first, is happy to be back with her family, though the whole being a princess due to her being descended from Lileya and Jaihen is taking a-lot to get used to, especially with moving into the palace with her family, but at the very least she can have fun exploring the palace... ...That is, until Jayla starts seeing ghosts during her exploring and she soon finds the ghosts seem determined to get rid of Jayla and her family by any means possible, completing Elezendra's revenge from centuries ago in the process. Meaning Jayla's new home soon becomes a nightmare that she has to survive and put an end too, or Elezendra wins...

Just another character for the Monster High AU shared by me and my friend, @disneyfan50 , for now, aka Jayla (no Monster High equivalent).

The daughter of two dragons that are in a relationship with Hades and his wife, Jayla is often always seen with her sister, Haley, with many students joking about how hard it is to separate them. And while Haley does have their father’s love for music, Jayla doesn’t have it as much and prefers to instead, focus on searching for, and sometimes stealing, treasures, from around the school, which does often put her in competition with her look-alike, Jalen.

Theme songs for Cordelia, VK!Reese, and/or SOF Jayla?

To avoid using the song that Cordelia will eventually sing in Evil's Unfinished Business, I'm gonna say.....Dynasties And Dystopia by Denzel Curry, Gizzle and Bren Joy, soley cause of her being a good pirate captain due to her parents and cause of her in AUs like Tightrope:

For Reese, definitely the whole aspect of her mom and what happened to her mom, given its a whole train of angst that just gets worser when you throw a Nighlok in that becomes Reese's own Decker eventually.

In terms of canon Jayla, likely will have to be her whole family reveal, given its been built up until that point that she has some mystery family out there and the fact that she can recall elements like odd singing and a shadow grabbing her, and therefore, the scene of it being revealed to her will be fun to get to.

For Jayra, probably will have to be when she faces off against her dad in Evils, given both are trying to get the talisman: Jay so he and Jafar can use it for evil while Jayra seeks to stop evil via getting it first, so the face off will be interesting.

And for Hyacinth, it'll probably have a to be a tie between so many scenes- her finding out what her mom is truly up to when it comes to Ben, her scene with the song 'Dollhouse', her and Zale slowly falling in love and her singing 'Speechless' due to how bad Mal is getting with her power as queen that is threatened by Hyacinth becoming queen soon....

Going to have to put this under read more, given the amount of OCs, and I guess it may come off as facts a lil, as I don't maintain specific OC spreadsheets a lot:

Jayla:

*Her adopted name is Jayla Antoine, but her biological name is later revealed to be Jayla Del'Tazar. *She was technically only intended to appear in a Harry Potter AU on Marvel Descendants as a muggleborn witch, but she ended up transferring over to canon, with her heritage being decided based on the joke of how her gold eyes resembled dragon eyes. *Said gold eyes also end up disappearing once the spell on her dragon is undone. *Jayla's fandom is a mixed bag, given again, her origins as a marvel descendants/harry potter crossover OC, but given she comes from marvel descendants, I guess you can say she's a marvel OC. *Her love interest's honestly also vary: she's shipped with Peregrine Wilson, the daughter of Sam Wilson from another universe, in canon, but in various AUs, she's shipped with Locket Lokidottir and is shipped sometimes with Victoria Von Doom and then of course, Maya. *She technically debuts in Agent of Asgard Volume 1 in Marvel Descendants, but she does have her own spin off later as well, with a sequel in planning. *Her family does vary in alternate universes, with her parents still being Cadmus and Elvidria, but she's also the foster daughter of superheroes in AUs and even Hades. *In terms of dragon lore, she is a warrior dragon, but ends up hosting a noble dragon down the line as well, and her dragon name is Jalienah. *Her dragon form does have a small scar that translates to her human form, aka from when her wings nearly got cut off while she had them out against an evil counterpart of Locket. *Her superhero name back in MD's universe, is Jaihen, after her ancestor, but she goes by Jayla in terms of Auradon, just to not mix things up.

Zale (does not have a faceclaim):

*Her name in all appearances so far is Zale Hook. *Her nickname from her father is Little Pirate. *She often like's to mix up her parents colors, but is noted to favor Uma's colors a little more often. *Throughout Wolf In Sheep's Clothing, she is constantly alluded to be related to the gods themselves, mainly due to Ursula's relation to Poseidon, hence her powers being so strong once off the Isle. *Her love interest in all universes so far is Hyacinth. *Despite her grandmother and mother having octopus forms, her sea form is actually a mermaid form. *A solo song she has in the story is How Far I'll Go, but its technically based more on a Major to Minor cover of the song. *Just like her father though before her, she does have a fear of crocodiles, and avoids them at all costs. *She does not like dragons either, especially Mal, and seeks revenge for the Isle throughout the story, let alone for her family and others Mal has made suffer. *Her story does have a sequel in the works, and she plays a key factor in the sequel in slowly freeing people off the Isle.

Nova (also does not have a faceclaim):

*Her full name is Nova Hyades Hawkins. *Her nicknames consist off accidentally being called Jim once by Silver when the two met, and she's later nicknamed Sparky by Silver a lot. *Her story is the first in a series that is my take on Twisted Tale, but with a next gen twist, and her story is called Catching Stardust. *Her appearance is based solely on Jim, which in turn is based on Sarah, not only for family sake but also cause nothing is really planned for the dad so far outside of Nova having tanned skin likely cause of whoever he is. *While she doesn't have a faceclaim, she does have a voiceclaim, which is Jenna Ortega. *She technically doesn't have a love interest in canon, but in AUs, she does have love interests such as Hope or Alia. *Her dad's identity isn't technically known, but like Jim's dad, he did leave while Nova was younger, and in AUs, does often change to fit the AU. *Nova's age also varies in AUs, but in canon, she is fifteen. *She technically grew up believing Jim was dead like most, but goes searching for treasure planet when Silver essentially crashes into their home. *A sequel is kind of in debate, but unclear yet, given how many TT's are intended for the series.

I'm going to assume this is canon Jayla, and given the amount of canon marvel character's in MD, it'd be long, so to limit:

*Loki: Terrible father. Reminds me too much of Colin. Only came in use during dragon games, but sadly saw his eventual turn coming.

*Thor: What is it with the Asgardians I meet not being able to use a parenting book?

*Jane: Lady who bosses me and Locket around, but is the only sane person I think that lives in the palace.

*Nick Fury: Can this man stop giving me detentions? It aint a crime to do a little stealing now and then. Still one of the only adults I respect though.

*Tony Stark: Stole his wallet once. Do not regret it.

*Steve Rodgers: He let me steal his shield at least once, so we cool.

*Phil Coulson: What is it with this man and his obsession with Captain America? Me and Locket hacked his computer once, and that was all we saw.

*Lady Sif: She trained me with a sword, so we pretty cool. She even let me use her own sword once!

*OTHER Loki: Pretty chill. Pretty much also grounded Locket and me though once, and do not know how, AS IM NOT HIS KID-

*Jay: The brother I didn't really ask for, but got stuck with. Pretty sure he enjoys annoying me when he can, but I draw the line at him trying to parent me, cause hes only a couple of years older then me.

Zale:

*Uma: I wish we could free her from the Isle already. It's not fair how they expect us to be just okay without our parents in Auradon. I wish she could see the sea once more, and we could get freedom for the Isle together.

*Harry: He would so love Auradon. Especially if he got to wipe that smug grin of Mal's face. I miss him and mom so much, as its not fair they couldn't come as well.

*Gil: He would so love the fighting sports in Auradon, just like Gable is enjoying them.

*Audrey: Unsure why she kept that scepter around in the first place, but cant wait to bring her to Auradon at some point so she can return to the home she had been unfairly banished from.

*Claudine: ....Not really spoken to her before, but we have to free her from Frollo.

*Mal: *never ending list of curses that cannot be said and lists all her crimes and the ways Zale will make her pay*

*Ben: Is it just me or does he look tired a lot? He's not really like what mom used to say he was like.....

*Evie: I know she tried to help the Isle, but I really wish she did more to stop Mal from everything she did in the end.

*Doug: ....Wait, have I spoken to him before or....

*Jay: Hades, don't let the Isle woman see hes still got that handsome look of his. But pretty mopey and seems like he knows something about Janira I do not.

*Carlos: He's okay, I guess. Not happy he also stood by and did nothing about Mal, though.

*Jane: I really wish she'd stop with this goodness class BS. It's not going to work out in the long run.

*Beast: Have not spoken to him. Do not wish to, either. Would end in a fight.

*Belle: Do not wish to speak to her either.

If your character had to pick one person as their role model, who would it be and why? What do they admire in this person? How has this role model affected their life and actions?

I’m not going to lie, I’m kinda struggling to pick just one character, so uh, guess here’s some characters I thought off with this question;  *Locket Lokidottir from Marvel Descendants- Locket looks up to a lot of people in her life, including her brother figure, Richard Creed and her later sister, Lily, owned by @disneyfan50 , due to them being the siblings who changed her life the most and she later looks up to Steve Rogers due to his role in slowly building the young avengers, but she also looks up to her fathers counterpart, Master of Chaos!Loki, owned by @disneyfan50 , due to him at least trying to be a father to her and due to him teaching her sorce while slowly trying to get her out of bad habits she has still left over from her own father. *Amanda Lokidottir from Marvel Descendants- Amanda mostly looks up to her adopted mom, Dea, owned by @disneyfan50 , since Dea is the first person who believed in Amanda, despite what Amanda had done prior, and was also the person who introduced Amanda to healing magic and therefore, Amanda does look up to Dea due to it being the moment her life changed.  *Jayla Del’Tazar from Marvel Descendants- With Jayla, she looks up to both her parents mainly when she finally finds them, but also looks up to her ancestors due to them being the first family she discovered and due to one of them being a warrior dragon like her, but in AUs with @disneyfan50 , she also looks up to superheroes, mainly the one who saved her as a baby as she hopes to be a hero one day like her. *Hyacinth from Descendants AU, Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing- Hyacinth looks up to her father, King Ben, due to the fact that she hopes to be as good at being queen like he is as King, with Ben’s previous decision to bring over VKs impacting Hya’s decision to bring over more VKs to try and continue that proclamation.  *Cassie Morris from Percy Jackson OCs- Cassie respects a lot of adult figures in her life, including her father, but she mainly looks up to her mom due to how much her mom had gone through to try and protect Cassie from the world of gods and monsters to the point one of her main reasons for agreeing to the quest to find the missing sea god was to hopefully find a way to get her mom awake again, just wanting the one adult whose always been there for Cassie no matter what happened, back.  *Reese Shiba from Power Rangers The New Samurai- Reese looks up to her father due to him being the only parent she has left due to her mothers death when she was younger, as Jayden was the red ranger before her and therefore, she does try to listen to him at least when it comes to being the next red anger, but does have her rebellious moments like always but the father and daughter always get along in the end somehow.  *Aki Tomani from Ninjas Unite- For Aki, it would be Leonardo and this is due to her seeing Leo as a father figure eventually as he acts like the groups father, but Aki always goes to Leo for advice on stuff, especially when it comes to both of them being leaders in some sense, though Aki does have her moments of questioning, but does generally look up to him despite those moments.
