I initially skipped straight over it, cause I thought it'd be the same God crap they usually reel off

Then I read the description

Sounds like she's actually calling out the bullshit of her childhood, I'm kinda interested to see what she has to say

Jinger Duggar had a D&C because of pregnancy complications. She won't call it an abortion. Which, given her upbringing (even though she tries to pretend she's so beyond it) is understandable.

But People magazine ALSO won't call it an abortion.

When a D&C is the first medical treatment listed by anti-abortionists to "prove" abortion is evil.

I have sympathy for Jinger having to end a pregnancy. I do NOT have sympathy for Jinger or People magazine refusing to admit they're describing a medically needed abortion.

She literally had a medically needed abortion.

In one way, wearing jeans makes her a massive rebel in her family. In other ways, wearing those jeans doesn't mean shit.

People magazine relies on the Duggars for content, so they'll walk whatever line the main family wants.

So from the recent interview with people Jinger admits that she laughs at the strict boundaries she followed in courtship. (Not holding hands till engagement, not kissing till the alter, etc.)

I know she’s still firm in her thoughts of saving sex for marriage, so I’m extremely curious as to what boundaries she would recommend to her own daughters/ other young Christians trying to stay pure, etc. I wonder if that’s a topic she actually goes more into in her book?

I also would love to hear the other sisters thoughts too— if they would be less strict if they could go back in time.

JD + Abbie are in California for a helicopter expo (did you know those exist? I didn't), so they're hanging out with the Vuolos.

I notice Abbie is now taking pics that don't show the kids' faces.

Also, I am tickled by the Easter dress in their CostCo cart because I have a daughter the same age as Grace, and I have 100% bought an Easter dress from CostCo. Those dresses are hella cute, and my husband has to redirect me whenever we pass the hangers of tiny people clothes.
