As soon as they figure out how to be haters together it's over for these hoes. Apollo rolls up to the prosecutor's office like "You're never going to believe what Athena and Trucy did today." and Simon looks at him with an 'I bet I will' and Taka goes *bird noise* to which Apollo responds "Exactly" bc he does the same thing to Mikeko.

Also I think Taka would start to genuinely like Apollo a little faster than Simon does which annoys Simon to no end bc he's like 'why is my ever loyal bird suddenly choosing this manlet over me' but it's bc Apollo approached it like he did when he found Mikeko: food. Best way to an animal's heart. He only reveals this after they've started dating, though. It all started when one time he had to shoo Taka so he threw some of his chicken at him and Taka gobbled it up and flew away. Then it clicked.

And I've talked about potential hilarious Aura interactions before (I think I posted those, anyway, fic coming eventually) but I want to reiterate how funny their relationship would be. I love them.

Even if they were just besties I think that would be fantastic, they just have so much potential. Simon with his 'I'm never going to say what I mean' vs Apollo's 'I chronically say out of pocket things that I very much do mean but didn't mean to say' is also fantastic. Simon throws out an insult but Apollo can tell he's lying and Apollo throws back the most genuine and inspiring compliment you've ever heard and bolts bc 'oh my god what did I just say that'. Simon has a little heart attack about it and stares at a wall for hours.
