Gyomei Himejima General Headcanons (Sfw/Nsfw)

a/n: I hope i did this right but anyway, I have a lot of ideas but i don't really know how to right them out and his is my first time actually drumming up the courage to post anything lmao but after writing this I had a lot of fun and actually feel more confident in writing headcanons but let me know what you think! :)

SFW (Safe for Work)

Gyomei is a man who is very in tune with his feelings, so he's very attentive to your emotions and when you're not feeling quite like yourself so he likes to help you out when you're not feeling well or when you ask him to hold you, he always welcomes you into his strong arms with a warm smile on his face

Due to people casually coming and talking to him, Gyomei is a bit of a gossip and likes to know things but doesn't really do anything with the information, he doesn't like to start drama or be around it, he would rather be spending time at home with you, he'd take a seat in the lounge area and when he has made himself comfortable he'd raise his hand out to gesture for you to come and sit with him so he can tell you all the stories he has collected since you last spoke with a wide grin on his face

He may be blind but that doesn't mean that he is completely useless, in reality Gyomei has learned how to compensate for his short comings in a way that makes the people around him forget that he is even blind

tries to hide how amused he is when you forget that he is blind (ex. when you try to show him something interesting or when you comment on how dark the room is)

he loves it when the both of you have the time to relax and enjoy each other's company, especially the warm afternoons where he can sit in the grass without a care as you are relaxing peacefully in his lap, reading out loud to him the book that you picked up from the markets while he was out on his last mission.

also there are days where he likes to sit outside ( by himself or with you) and play his shakuhachi ( it's like a flute but sounds so majestic lol) , he doesn't know a lot of songs but likes to play notes and find which ones sound good together and plays little random tunes ( sometimes he makes up lyrics to go with the melody but most times its just meaningless tunes)

Gyomei has two weaknesses and that's: you and cats. It's a struggle for him to balance the two but with persuasion ( he secretly likes to be complimented and hugs, especially when you hug his arm) he will choose you with little to slightly moderate regret to the stray he saw on his way home from his meeting with the leader and the rest of the hashira.

Gyomei especially has a fascination with the maine coon cat breed not only because they are one of the biggest breeds of cat but because they are rather social creatures like Gyomei himself, they don't mind spending time around other people. He also finds it very funny when he get to spend time with a maine coon cat and he feels them softly making biscuits on his haori when he's trying to pet the other cats or talking to you

The Hashiras If They Existed in Genshin Impact AU

Disclaimer: same as before, if you disagree that is fine. These are my interpretations. Also this should be spoiler free-? Also Yoriichi is here because I didnt know where else to put him 👍

Rules for the visions go as follows:

Anemo - Given to those who seek freedom above all else

Geo - Given to those who live life pursuing what they believe to be prosperous

Electro - Given to those who don't fit in

Dendro - Given to those of high intelligence/or a passion for learning

Hydro - Given to those with a strong sense of justice

Pyro - Given to those with passionate spirits

Cryo - Given to those fighting for something they believe in after suffering hardships

I've already done the demons. The Uppermoons If They Were in Genshin

And again, going weakest to strongest so we're starting with-

Shinobu Kocho

The Insect Hashira

Insect Breathing is derived from Flower Breathing, which is derived from Water Breathing. Shinobu uses a specialized blade with a stinger-like point in order to inject demons with her special poison; so she'd be a polearm user (also because polearm seems to be one of the easier weapons to wield, and canonically she is unable to decapitate demons)

Shinobu would have an electro vision but her attacks would be similiar to the electro-charged reaction - causing constant damage to the afflicted for as long as the affliction is applied

Tengen Uzui

The Sound Hashira

Sound Breathing is derived from Stone Breathing. And Tengen dual wields massive swords on a chain, so he'd probably be a claymore user

Tengen would have a geo vision. And 100% some flashy ass attacks, something like Itto or Albedo.

Mitsuri Kanroji

The Love Hashira

Love Breathing is derived from Flame Breathing, and since Mitsuri doesn't use a traditional sword as hers seem to have more long range, I'm going to label her a bow user

Mitsuri would have a pyro vision (obvi), and I kinda see her as being a bit of a healer? Idk maybe it's due to her whole thing being "love"

Giyuu Tomioka

The Water Hashira

Since Giyuu is one of the handful that uses a katana that isn't specialized, he'd be a sword user. Along with a hydro vision of course

I imagine his elemental burst to be the Eleventh Form: Dead Calm (since he created it and all). But because it canonically lowers his heart rate in exchange of being quicker, it would probably look something like Ayato's elemental skill in which it looks like he's standing still with the effects of Xiao's elemental burst. Meaning it buffs his damage, but lowers his health for as long as the skill is active

Kyojuro Rengoku

The Flame Hashira

I know he also uses a katana but he big buff man so Rengoku gets a claymore

I'm barely getting away with the fact Douma isn't cryo, I'll be fucking crucified if I don't give this man a pyro vision so he can have it

I imagine Rengoku's skills to be similiar to Diluc's. Except instead of the bird theme with Diluc, Rengoku's would be a lion. And I can imagine him to be a shield like Thoma or Xinyan.

Obanai Iguro

The Serpent Hashira

Serpent Breathing is derived from Water Breathing, I'm also pretty sure it's mentioned to be the one style that can be used without a sword? I might be wrong

Obanai's sword isn't exactly a katana, it's more specialized. But I've decided to label him a catalyst because thats what the snake theme makes me think of

And Obanai would have an electro vision

Muichiro Tokito

The Mist Hashira

Mist Breathing is derived from Wind Breathing and I know he uses a katana but since his breathing style seems to be centered around swift movements, Muichiro is a polearm user

But I am willing to give him an anemo vision. He somewhat fits Venti's requirements...

Sanemi Shinazugawa

The Wind Hashira

Same explanation as with Mist Breathing, Wind Breathing is based on swift movements so Sanemi is a polearm user

And of course, he has an anemo vision

His elemental skill would probably be like Xiao's, just a quick motion. But his burst, I imagine, would look something like Kazuha's. Or maybe he'd be a Wanderer type.

Gyomei Himejima

The Stone Hashira

100% a claymore user, I shouldn't have to explain

And obviously, geo vision

Yoriichi Tsugikuni

The Sun Hashira; The First and Strongest Demon Slayer

Yoriichi is of course a sword user

I was really indecisive on what vision he'd have. Pyro doesnt really suit his personality, neither does geo or dendro. And I couldnt see him with hydro, so that narrowed it to electro, anemo, and cryo.

I ended up deciding on a cryo vision because it actually worked lore wise (at least, with the case of Michikatsu's jealousy since then they'd have the same vision)

100% strongest and best cryo user in this case 👍 Ayaka could NEVER

You two just sit there in a joyful manner, hugging each other tightly while laughing and smiling casually

Rengoku definitely holds onto you as tight as he can after atleast 10 minutes of cuddling

He just can’t get enough, you’re too cute

Probably also presses an overwhelming amount of kisses to your cheek every 20-30 seconds

You can literally feel him smiling against your skin as he kisses you

Tengen is definitely the most suggestive and flirtatious with this

As soon as you take a seat on his thigh, he smirks and pulls you into him without hesitation

His arms are locked around your waist as he leans into you with a depraved expression

Constant teasing while you’re on him, no doubt about it

Like, he kisses you everywhere accessible, and grips your waist tighter

When you’re on his thigh, he moves his thigh up and down a little, and helps move your waist back and forth against him

Basically allows you to grind on him if you’re okay with it

Teases you by leaning back and placing his arms to rest against a nearby surface as you keep your movements against him up

Giyuu is quite calm and unfazed when you sit on his lap, similar to Gyomei

He just sits back, and occasionally rests his hands onto your waist or shoulders

Poor guy hasn’t had much affection, and is hella disliked so he just stays quiet the whole time

But, he does hold you tightly. It may not be something huge, but you can feel his affection and love in his embrace

Rests his head onto your shoulder

His breathing is calm and slow against your skin as he buries his face in the crook of your neck, with his chin situated between your shoulder and collarbone.

If you try to get up, he’ll let you, but not before asking you to hold him a bit longer

Maybe, just maybe, he’ll smile against you if he feels comfortable with your body pressed against his on his lap

“Y/N…I love you. Don’t leave me, please.”

Obanai remains silent, but it’s no secret that he’s flustered.

He looks away bashfully and squeezes his eyes shut, trying to avoid eye contact with you since it’s too embarrassing for him

He sighs heavily, trying to maintain his composure with you literally seated on his lap

His face is tinted a bright red, not even his bandaged mouth can hide the heavy blush dusting his cheeks

When you look over, you can literally see Kaburamaru giving Obanai a “you’re a fucking pussy” type stare

I guess that causes him to finally look at you and make eye contact

When he does gain some sort of confidence, he rests his hands onto your shoulders, and eventually wraps his arms around your torso, pulling you closer

He pulls you a little too close- putting you chest to chest with him, and his arms locked around you tightly and squeezing you

If you point out the fact that he’s hugging you too tight, he’ll get embarrassed and quietly apologize, before loosening his grip around you

Just let the man hug you and tough it out okay

“I- Y/N…I’m at a loss for words..?”

A/n: Hello! thank you so much for your kind words and for sending in an ask! I'd love to do your request! it sounds like a very interesting dynamic. hope you enjoy reading what i came up with :)

Since Gyomei is over 7 feet tall (7,2 ft to be exact) he is practically a giant so he pretty much towers over anyone he crosses paths with

when the two of you go out for a walk whether you have a destination or not, Gyomei tends to walk slower when he's beside you so that he doesn't leave you behind since he takes bigger strides.

If you're someone who likes to hold hands with your partner, Gyomei would have no problem with holding your hand (he actually really loves sweet gestures like this because it makes his heart swell with butterflies), especially if you two were in a more public setting or if you were feeling nervous, Gyomei takes pride in being your protector and making you feel safe when you're with him, the only thing the he worries about is actually being the one to reach for your hand ( the one time he tried to reach out to hold your hand while the two of you were out for a stroll in the garden and he accidentally ended up groping your chest)

Gyomei loves to give you his haori when you're cold (he can feel your body shaking and hears your teeth chattering) draping the light green coat upon your shoulders

Since he's so tall, he likes to give you head pats, always knowing where you and massaging your scalp gently

For kisses, he's afraid to bend down and headbutt you, so he likes when you reach up and grab his collar, pulling him down to the height you prefer

Likes to pick you up by the waist, especially since you weight next to nothing to him. (but he always asks permission first)

UNLESS he is extremely excited to see you after a long mission, he likes to just hold you and bring you up to his chest, able to nuzzle into the crook of your neck and take a deep breath in, inhaling your scent, reminded of home.

Gyomei is very considerate of your shared height difference. In the house he keeps from storing things too high and out of your reach. Even if you had trouble getting something off the top shelf, he'd get it for you (or, feeling uncomfortable with the thought of feeling around the shelf himself) he'd lift you by the waist so that YOU could do it instead.

I was working on some lighting and laying down flats and idk I think I like it more than if I colour it.

I know I've been blabbering about Gyomei struggling with being a parent (more than any of the other Hashira, save maybe Obanai depending on if it was Mitsuri or not) because of his trauma and general aversion to letting himself be happy, but I couldn't let it go.

I wanted his expression to convey the internal conflict, part happy, part terrified. I imagine Gyo as someone who would genuinely understand the awe of childbirth. Creating life from nothing is nothing short of a miracle, and yet this tiny life has the power to render him incapacitated and even incarcerated as he knows from experience. He has no desire to believe his own child is capable of great evil, and yet the wall of stone he's built around his heart for the last several years says otherwise.

Ultimately he'd love his child. He'd still struggle with being a good teacher, and would need frequent reminders to go slow and explain why/how/when to his child, but it wouldn't be out of malice or anything, he's just simply always been a doer, rather than a teacher. He's been the one picking up the slack and pushing everyone forward, he's never had the time to sit back and slow down. Teaching takes time, and the more time you spend doing it the less time you spend creating action and change. But you'd better believe he'd try really hard once you pointed it out to him. He wants to be a good father, someone who his child can rely on, someone who will help them understand right from wrong. Just be patient with him pls ♡
