No seek, No find Event Summary

TL;DR: Leo/need try performing at a new livehouse, but their songs didn't excite the audience at all. However, the band after them, anenome, was able to move the audience greatly with their sad but warm song. Saki approaches anenome's leader, Saku, to ask for advice. She tells them that Leo/need's songs are "cute", but lack meaning.

Saki resolves to write a song that connects to that livehouse's audience. After some internet searching, she realizes many of the visitors express themes of loneliness. Reminded of both her pain in the hospital and the joy of being back with her friends, Saki decides to write with the theme of "it's ok now that we're together".

However, Saki struggles to write a song that satisfies her. She goes to SEKAI, where Len and KAITO suggest she may not be exploring the true depth of her memories. She digs out an old journal and realizes she's been repressing the worst memories of loneliness and self-doubt, but also realizes that her friends and family were still there for her, looking at the same sky. Saki decides to put all those complicated feelings into the song.

After pulling two all-nighters, Saki finally finishes the song. She ended with a theme of companionship and hope, after all the support her friends had and continued to show her. The rest of Leo/need love the song and are impressed by the hard work Saki put into it.

Later, Ichika and Shiho go back to the livehouse to sign up, where they overhear Saku turn down a talent agent. She instead recommends them Leo/need, since they have such a "cute, simple sound". Offended, Shiho approaches her and declares that their next live with the new song will prove her wrong.

Chapter 1: Ichika experiments with using Miku's VOCALOID voicebank to write songs. She admires Saki's ability to write original melodies and dreams to be able to do the same. The next day, Saki was writing songs in her own room before realizing she's late for rehearsal. Shiho suggests performing at a new livehouse to build experience. Though it's a small place, many bands that have performed there before have gone pro. Honami is a bit nervous, but they all decide to go ahead and do it. Saki proposes playing a new song there, too. She's really excited about what she's put together.

Chapter 2: The day of the live arrives. They go out and play with as much power and excitement as they can, but the audience isn't interested in them. Saki especially is upset her songs didn't get through. Shiho reassures her that it's just because different livehouses have different tastes, but Saki still doubts herself. The band after them, anenome, got massive applause from the audience. Saki really likes their song, even though it's a bit sad. She's curious how such a sad song can feel so warm. Saki decides to try writing a song like that.

Chapter 3: Saki approaches the band's leader, Saku, to ask how to write songs like that. Saku is happy for them, but doesn't have any solid advice other than to write what's inside your heart. Saki's confused since she's already been doing that. She decides to also ask what Saku thought of their songs. She thought they were cute, but lacked substance. Saku doesn't see the issue with that though, since everyone has their own taste. Saki's really upset, though. Leo/need try cheering her up, but it doesn't work. They're all frustrated to be told their music doesn't fit there. Everyone resolves to work even harder. That night, Saki decides to write a song specifically for that livehouse's audience.

Chapter 4: To help get a better understanding of the livehouse, Saki searches them online, realizing the audience likely connected to themes of loneliness. Saki remembers back to her time in the hospital, when she was unable to join her peers or do "normal" kid activities. She begins trying to write a song based on that experience. The next day, Leo/need debriefs their performance. Saki talks about her new song idea, and the rest of the band agrees to give it a shot. She talks a bit about what she had felt back then, to which the others express their remorse about not visiting her. Saki then realizes she wants to write a song about how "it's ok because now we're together".

Chapter 5: Saki begins writing, but still isn't satisfied with the result. They all feel superficial. Saki heads to SEKAI, where she finds Len and KAITO talking while eating snacks. At Len's request, she tells them about the last live's failure and her current plan. The Virtual Singers suggest that her songs aren't working because she's not exploring the true depth of her feelings. Saki realizes there's something important she's forgetting about her time in the hospital, but can't figure out what.

Chapter 6: Saki digs out her old journal. She reads a passage on how, after transferring hospitals, she felt super lonely, especially after hearing all the other kids talk about their school trips. She was frustrated at fate for forcing her to stay inside, never being able to go out and live life. She felt like a burden to everyone because she wasn't getting better. Saki realizes she's been repressing those feelings so she didn't have to feel that again. Still, Saku's song had dug even deeper, so she decides to put it all out there.

While writing the first verse, Saki remembers a day when Ichika had sent her a photo of a cloud that looked like ice cream. The two joked about how fluffy it looked, when Saki noticed a similar cloud out the hospital window. She realizes that even though they were far apart, they had always been looking at the same sky. They all had been- Shiho, Honami, her parents, and Tsukasa, too. She decides to put that warmth in the song, too. She accidentally stays up all night working on it.

The rest of Leo/need are concerned about her staying up all night, but she's just excited to finish the song. She's going to finish it that day, no matter what. The others reluctantly agree to let her, but force her to promise to stop if she stops feeling well. Shiho decides to schedule their next live in a month's time.

Chapter 7: Saki's mom comes up to deliver the sweet snacks Honami had made for Saki. Saki continues working on the song on her own, slowly tweaking it to get the right sounds. She starts to get light-headed, but keeps working on. Shiho texts her and asks how its going, since she knows this is around when Saki gets stuck. Ichika also texts her and asks if she can see the stars out her window, too. Through her friend's support, she comes to the decision to cement the song as one of companionship and hope. She finally finishes the song, but not after pulling another accidental all-nighter.

Chapter 8: Leo/need arrive at the Tenma house to practice. Saki plays them the new song, to which they're all very impressed. It's different than what she's written before, but at the same time, it's still something only Leo/need could write. Saki begins talking about how she hadn't been putting much deep feeling into the songs she'd been writing before, but Shiho reminds her to cherish both the old and the new. The band offer to hammer out the detail of the song, letting Saki finally rest.

At the livehouse, Shiho and Ichika overhear Saku turning down a talent agent. Saku had recommended Leo/need to them instead for their "bright, poppy sound". Shiho confronted her after, upset by the way Saku had reduced their band to just a cute image. Shiho promises that their next live will prove they're more than that, to which Saku is looking forward to.

HAIIII welcome :) to preface this im normal i swear. anyway The Abyss is what i like ta call my Horrible Horrible Maze, i made it w/ the goal of making the worst possible experience in minecraft to torment my friends ^_^

I enjoy putting people in situations and studying them :D 

On that note! everyone who runs the abyss (24 people at current count) I time and write a couple notes on them! the abyss is honestly half maze half personality test LMAO. at current moment the quickest time goes to @ghostpajamas with a baffling 03:24 (wild that he got out so quick, i win tho cause i haunt his dreams), and longest goes to the beloved @rendogdomesticated with 1:35:54 <3 special shout out ta my dearest @theoctagon tho wolff ur insane i love u. guy goes inta the abyss for fun and has like 10 pages and counting of insane person phsyical notes tryna map it out (hes reported that hes gone through the first one 60 times and the 2nd one 5 jesus chriiiistttt). the abyss is fond of Pilot :) also if wolff is the favourite than @potionofinstantdamage is the Least favourite, rude ass set the place on fire when he got stuck in there :( oof ouchie

Highlights from my notes include @quack-city running backwards and upon me asking Why, simply replied “what if there’s slenderman :(‘ ... cant argue w/ that! he also hadda stop mid run so we decided its funnier if he’s just stuck in there forever. @newtbeetle was in there for like an hour and would NOT shut up about Paul Dano the whole time which was a time (love u beebs. ur isnane). my two test runners are @kishdoodles and @officialgleamstar and they had about the same time but like Opposite reactions it was very funny, kish treated it like they were a streamer n kept a like constant chatter, and travvy was like DEAD silent the whole time n Intensely focused akjewkjr tbh outta all 24 runners trav’s been prob the most like, methotical bout it? LIKE I SAID personality test. i Love studying people. 

In regards to its origins I came up w/ the idea back in like feb/march ish of this year and from start to finish it took me like 2 weeks ish i was on the Grind. u dont understnad how much black concrete this thing took. hell on earth,,, darkwoods has an economy/shopping district and i bought out like All the sand/gravel available akjwekjr the rest i hadda gather myself n God gravel sucks. also ive killed So Many Squids. the 2nd abyss was much easier ta gather supplies for cause i could ask for help w/ supplies n i kept the first one a Complete secret minus my test runners (i hadda bitch at SOMEONE while makin it or i wouldve died i think. speakin of the first abyss has a death count of 13 and the 2nd one has like, 5 or somefin? rlly shouldve writen that down akjwerjk those are Entirely me dying in the process of buildin them btw. its not a true Spain Build unless its mildly dangerous <3) The 2nd one also made me learn redstone, notably i specifically studied Tango’s decked out process vids from s7, tho i really only stole like two aspects of it n i couldnt even get one ta work properly LMAO

The second abyss took me like, wayy longer ta make, bout two months ish (i finished it like mid july). not necessarily in actual like, time spent building but cause in the process of makin it i had Two month long events i was in (Voiceteam in may and Art fight in july) so that distracted me a bit wkwnekeneie Im a bit more secretive bout the second abyss in general since not That many people have actually ran it compared ta the first n theres actually like, Things that can be spoiled in there <3 i like seein peep’s initial reactions its much more satisfying.

This didnt happen w/ everyone but i think a like, Core part of running the abyss is getting emotionally attached ta weird things. i wouldve said just torches until a few days ago when Tac (onea the rat server mods) ran it and claimed the stack of pumpkin pies i gave her as family. But Prior Ta That several people have had very intense emotions bout the redstone torches, whether love or hate or both, key example ft dog:

In regards to lore the abyss is a parasitic entity that infects anyone who gets stuck in there n slowly compells them ta go build their own lmao. note that ive only called the second abyss the Second one and not Abyss 2, because its technically just The Abyss as well cause theres many of them i just made it second wowjdkenejd (a real example of this is Wolff gettin obsessed w/ the abyss n then goin n buildin his own build called the Tower :) very excited bout that) The Abyss has a weird like fucked up warlock bond w/ my goddess oc The Overseer :D Her design’s vaugely based off my irl friend @hotcollectionoftubs cause her creation The Hole on a creative world her n some other friends of mine are on was onea the main insperations for certain aspects of the abyss’ lore :D mainly the teal in the colour palette and the whole ‘the [hole/abyss] provides’ thing.

I have two versions of the au’s postgame, and in one of them he absolutely does.

The end of the world is avoided, Count Bleck and Tippi have vanished but are living happily ever after, Dimentio is dead (supposedly), and the rest of the villains aren’t trying to destroy all worlds anymore.

However, Mr L is still Mr L. Just as the villains go to leave, Mario reaches out and grabs Nastasia by the arm.

“You were the one who brainwashed my brother. Can you fix him?”

Nastasia confirms that she can. It would be quite easy for her, in fact. She turns towards the heroes and her glasses meet Mr L’s white eyes.

He freezes in place. He’s always been afraid of her, though he’s never had a specific reason why. Staring her down, though, it doesn’t matter why. He can’t let her get rid of him.

Mr L has heard Mario talk about how different Luigi was. Bringing Luigi back would mean getting rid of Mr L.

He tries to flee with his rocket boosters, but Bowser saw it coming. He snatches Mr L right out of the air and holds him down.

Nastasia approaches and Mr L panics. He shouts, he cries out, and he calls for Mario specifically. Mario had said that even if he couldn’t be Luigi again, he’d still love him like his brother, right? Surely he’s not getting to just let her destroy him? Right?

Mario does one of the most difficult things he’s had to do this entire adventure.

He turns away.

In that momentary distraction, Nastasia hits Mr L with her abilities. Bowser lets go, and Mr L falls to his knees. He’s struggling against it at first, but then slumps over. The magic disperses, and he slowly opens his eyes.

They’re blue again, no longer Mr L’s unnatural white.

Mario rushes over, elated to see that little difference. He stops in his tracks when Luigi flinches back.

Luigi doesn’t remember a goddamn thing that happened while Mr L was active. Some leftover feelings still remain, though, and tensions were high in the moments before Luigi was returned.

Peach kneels down next to him, gently rubbing his back and assuring him that he doesn’t need to worry, he’s safe now. “What’s the last thing you remember?”

Luigi mentions crashing Bowser and Peach’s forced wedding (which Bowser mutters something about). He admits that he remembers ending up in some weird monochrome castle, but he doesn’t remember what happened there or how he ended up here.

It’s then that he realizes just how he looks. Weird clothes, weird bandana, weird mask- wait, when was the last time he shaved!?

Mario laughs at Luigi’s bewilderment. Yup, classic Luigi. He goes over to help him up, and he he’s almost lightheaded with relief when Luigi doesn’t hesitate to accept his help. He’s also relieved that Luigi doesn’t mind him taking the mask off (Mr L would’ve slaughtered him for it).

“So… What just happened? Something obviously happened,” Luigi asked, and he notices Mario and Peach both freeze in place. Oh boy, it’s something serious then.

Luigi decides that now is not the time. “Actually, I changed my mind. I don’t want to deal with this right now. I’m going to shovel a huge bowl of pasta in my face and take a nap, then I’ll deal with it,” he decides.

Mario takes his hand and leads him to the tower’s elevator, a relieved smile on his face and tears welling up in his eyes. He tells Luigi about this place that makes incredible pasta, and an inn with beds so soft you’d think they were meant for royalty.

Luigi is fine, and everything goes back to normal. The world is saved, and all is well.

(They explain what happened to him after. Luigi doesn’t remember any of it, but it is a little scary to think about the fact that he did all that. Mario does his best to assure him that it wasn’t him doing that, it was Mr L. Luigi appreciates it, but he doesn’t mention the strange remnants. He doesn’t talk about knowing things he shouldn’t (the names of Count Bleck’s minions, their habits, their likes and dislikes), he doesn’t talk about the strange dreams he’s been having (of being trapped in a monochrome fortress, of being flooded with indescribable power, of Mario turning his back on him). Perhaps it’s best if everything Mr L was is simply… Buried.)

I highly recommend you play it #also the alt ending for the hero au is Mr L not regaining his memories #it’s mostly an excuse for me to examine how Mr L would respond to a variety of unfamiliar situations
