Have you ever read Stone Butch Blues by Leslie Feinberg? Apparently that's the lesbian Bible. I'm a late bloomer and have just started to come to terms with my queerness, but it feels like you're not really a part of the community without reading it. Ya know I'm actually glad you sent this because I bought a copy of it yearrrrrs ago when I was in my early 20s, but never got around to reading (too much working, wAy too much going out 😬). Anyway, so I had it, and then this fUCKING TWAT stole it from me when we moved out of living together. Like, it did not get lost. She absolutely stole it. Along with several other things, but that's not the point. And then I never bought another copy. But! This ask made me 1. Reignite my furious fucking anger over that, and 2. Had me look to see if I could buy another copy. Which, haha no they're like $50 now, but you can read the entire thing online for FREE on her website! She literally gives it out on pdf for free 😳 and you can print it off for like twelve bucks or something.

So yeah. I'm gonna read it. I have to finish How To Lose The Time War for bookclub, but after that I can finally read this mf after like 13 years 🥴

Anybody have recommendations for how to better enjoy/go about Mass Effect Andromeda?

Short story long:

Started playing it like 8 months ago, got a decent way in , but life got busy and I trailed off and never finished. I really was a good ways in too, probably 30 hours…? (Enough to get to the reveal about Where Bad Guys Are Coming From Lately, etc) but idk something about it wasn’t quite clicking. Honestly I enjoy the main cast quite a lot (most of them) - if anything its Ryder I struggle with lmao. They feel very…… baby. Which is probably the point but I’m in my late 20s and its a bit hard to see someone like that as CO of a spaceship/relate. (Maybe its because the 5 personality whatever options make Ryder feel all over the place if you’re not careful…….???)

Anyways, would love some tips if there’s a good way to go about Andromeda to enjoy it more. Maybe I got too bogged down in accomplishing side missions, or there’s fan tips about how to approach interactions or order of things lol. Wanna give it an honest shot again, not just write it off without seeing it through 😅
