Back in March we would avoid going out at all costs, and things were getting a bit claustrophobic. This is inspired by real events. So as of yesterday we’ve officially formed our little bubble 💛 We are still not going out or having people in, other than our bubble. We had a lot of discussions as a family about whether or not to join households, but ultimately we decided this was an acceptable risk (I’m good at understanding and assessing acceptable risk; it’s where my palliative care ass lives my life 😂!). We desperately need the emotional and practical support our chosen people can provide to survive. Just having someone helping do the dishes and change the beds makes our lives infinitely easier. We are used to staying in for long periods of time; my health has made sure of that. But we’ve struggled massively with no one being allowed in. Our small little expansion has made a world of difference for our mental health and brought so much joy with just one Sunday lunch 💜 It was absolutely amazing to be able to hug a few people I love yesterday (although I’m beyond grateful to have had my parents and Em for daily cuddles the last six months 🥰💖). Still feeling deeply emotional about it. I told Connor that a genuine fear of mine these last 6 months was that I’d die without getting to hug people I love ever again; a dramatic thought, I know 😂 but a very real worry I’ve had. There are still so many people I’m dreaming off hugging (especially @mjenga10 and @lucyfishleigh95 😭) but I’m grateful there’s a few people I can cwtch. "Vaxxed and Waxed" Is the New Hot Girl/Boy/Person Summer. Vaxxed and Waxed doesn't have to be literal - it's an energy. A feeling. Think of it more as a metaphor for conscious preparation. Consider when people get waxed: Before dates. Before vacations. Before high school reunions.
