Back on my bullshit with the Eastern Dragon Danny and Phoenix Vlad au:

So basically, Vlad decided to go to sleep for a while, inside a modified coffin built to withstand him and all that. So, he tells Danny a specific time to wake him so that he could resume his duties as Duke.

Why did Vlad decide to take a really long nap? Because he was extremely tired of ghost zone politics and decided to just go fuck it, I need a nap.

The deadline he needed Danny to wake him up at is relatively short in ghost terms really, just about a period of 40 years, he's currently 20, so at the end of this he should just be an even 60. Which would give him plenty of time to finish forty years of work before his rebirth cycle kicked in again.

He gave Danny the key to said coffin, with its specific magical signature and everything. So he expected and trusted that Danny would awaken him within a span of forty years, perhaps a bit earlier if push came to shove.

Then he just went to sleep.

Danny doesn't like his decision to just, up and go sleep for forty years, only because he would have to be the one doing the paperwork but its like, whatever he guessed. Do Danny was now actually handling the paperwork and navigating ghostly politics once more!

Joy...

He was buried in work for a fair amount of time, sometimes literally, and had to kick it back for a bit before going back to work. He felt like he was forgetting something, though...

A key appeared under a stack of papers that he just worked through, a veeeeeeery familiar key that he was sure had some kind of importance based on that itchy feeling in the back of his skull.

Eh, it's probably not important.

Welp, back to work!

Danny worked in silence for a bit, before getting up and slamming his hands on his desk.

OH FUCK, VLAD!

It's been waaaay more than 40 years last he checked, enough time that Vlad must've rebirthed inside his coffin already by like, a lot of times by now.

Considering that 5 millenniums have passed.

Well, shit.

So he hid the key in his hair, shifted, and flew off to Vlad's domain to wake him up. But when he got there, weeeeell, let's just say that Vlad's coffin was. Well.

It was gone.

Now, you see Observants. He had a totally reasonable explanation for this, you know. It was uh, well, you know, he just, ya'know?

He just, kinda, forgot...

He'll get him back! He swears! He just, need to, ya'know, find the guy!

Couldn't be that hard!

Another five millenniums later, he felt like punching his past self for fucking jinxing future him! The Observants were literally breathing down his neck to find the guy, and he didn't want to go back to doing paperwork either!

His salvation came in the form of a summoning, one he answered and finally, finally found the location of Vlad's coffin. He honestly got extremely, he didn't want to face paperwork again, so he asked these group of heroes to help him find this specific coffin in exchange for whatever they wanted him to do.

And he's Ancient damn thankful he did cause oh boy, cause like 2 days later he was presented the coffin that was just sitting collecting dust in some magician guy's house that was apparently passed down throughout generations that the Justice League managed to get their hands on.

So he opened it, and literally had to catch Vlad, who fell out of his coffin and looked like a literal 10-year-old. Did Vlad's temporary retirement plan include his deadline of 40 years being stretched by 9,960 years? No, no it did not, and unlike the previous ghost king, he was not unaffected by the length of his sleep.

So forgive him if he had to relearn how to do basic body functions, his memory foggy, and his powers were a bit outta wack.

Lots, honestly. If I ever did "sand off the serial numbers" I would do a ton of things.

Hollyleaf's Century would have waaaay bigger and more devastating consequences for the entire island. Not just the lake society. All of Albion would have been badly affected.

I've always been really fond of the idea that you first come into this world, assume it's pretty straightforward "oh! Cats in the woods! Simple enough!" And then slowly the lore reveals itself to be like "ARCHIMEDES' CAT SUCCESSFULLY INVENTED LAZER BEAMS ERGO THE ROMANS NEVER STARTED A CONQUEST OF NORTHERN EUROPE"

Im just incredibly fond of lore that looks basic when you're first introduced to it, slowly drops wilder and wilder shit, and refuses to ever engage with it lmaooo

Lots more name changes, more honor titles, etc

I would start tossing in OCs. I like the limitation I work with right now, it's a fun challenge, but I would be padding out allegiances significantly

Populations would get bigger, with more emphasis on Family rather than Individual. I would begin to give major bloodlines their own insignias.

Identifying with these insignias would be something cats grapple with. Everyone in Tigerstar's family, for example, would consider if they want to jump into their mate's families and modify their insignias or wear them with pride

A lot more would go into "aesthetic" production. Flax, leather, the fashion styles between the different Clans.

I'd mess around with more altars and hidden places where various cats go to worship.

For example I would LOVE to have a "dark library" which contains a lot of Ripplestar's strategies and battle plans, buried in the bog, that Runningnose uncovers through his channeling and Brokenstar goes to learn from

More magic stuff in general, a lot of it going back to Hollyleaf's Century. More types of curses and monsters, some of them just kinda showing up at times.

The ecology of Albion would be a bit wilder. Feral cattle, wild dogs, and horses, nothing too drastic.

Researchers would remain I love those guys. Might make some special "field guides" which are humorous journal entries and such. Occasionally they drop hints at the iceberg lore like, "this reminds me of the Great Egg Scramble of '24."

They'd mention some of the magic stuff and explain that humans have had a hard time researching it scientifically. Like Quantum Physics it doesn't like to work the same way when you observe it directly.

One of their specialists has a PHD in Alchemy or something like that

SkyClan would do a LOT more in the suburbs. Like, I would explicitly start working suburban foraging into their culture instead of just the occasional stealing they do.

Been thinking a lot about the boundaries between natural and urban spaces and how maybe it works best to challenge that "boundary" completely. SkyClan seeing itself in the dandelions that sprout between cracks in the pavement. Do you understand

I'd start adding in more spaces for people to break off from "canon." Like saying that sometimes the researchers capture "breakaway" groups to introduce them to other areas, sometimes they hop on trains and spread around Albion. Fanwork Gaps.

Lukercy fic idea:

After TLO Luke is allowed into Elysium with the following conditions:

He won't be reincarnated for a while (the Gods want things to "calm down" in the mortal world before reintroducing a potential troublemaker)

He won't be reincarnated as a half-blood. Like, ever. They really don't want to have to deal with him ever again.

When Percy finds out about Luke's reincarnation sentence, he asks the Gods for the same thing.

Because, yk, "I never asked to be a half-blood."

And now he's asking to not be a half-blood.

Ever.

And what if Luke was there with him. He hears Percy's wish and his eyes go wide because Luke and Percy are soulmates, their fates are intertwined, Percy saw the moment his fate string was cut. If the Gods grant Percy's wish... they'll definitely meet again in their next life...hopefully minus the war and betrayal and all that bullshit the Gods put them through.

Percy basically did the soulmate equivalent of asking Luke to marry him...and in front of their parents! Holy shit. Their eyes meet and Percy looks waaaay too happy about this, gods, Luke is so flustered rn

The rest of the fic is a 4+1 or 5+1 of them being reincarnated and shenanigans

Here are my thoughts on the situation.

*very long post incoming*

Firstly and I cannot stress this enough, MOST IMPORTANTLY:

SUPPORT SHUBBLE!!!!!!!

It was so incredibly brave of her to speak out about what happened to her, and they deserve so much love and support. Please go and watch her videos, subscribe, and spread kindness to her. They are absolutely just wonderful.

Secondly: I do not support him. at all. I'm not going to say his name because he doesn't deserve attention, but you know who I'm talking about. I think that what he did is absolutely abhorrent and loathsome, and on top of all that he delivers an "apology" that is simply just shit. Everybody's responses to this situation are a hundred thousand times better than whatever that was. Hell, Dreams response was leagues better than a single word said in that sorry excuse of 4 paragraphs.

Thirdly: There's been a lot of talk about "separating the art from the artist" surrounding this, and I both agree and disagree with this sentiment. On the one hand, I completely understand still enjoying some of his music and videos without directly tying it to him or supporting him at all. But on the other hand. He is an abuser. I personally feel that as long as you are not directly supporting him, and making sure that you are not, I think that you should be allowed to listen to his music, or watch reuploads of his videos on other peoples channels. With how big of an impact this man made, I cannot blame you. Its very hard to just drop someone and move on so quickly. (for some people, that is.) We need to allow ourselves time to move on and adjust, and we need to be patient with others as well. If you have moved on already, please be considerate and understanding to others who are still trying to let go.

Now another tangent similar to the paragraph above:

To be blunt: I think that we should completely separate and detach the characters that this man played and "created" from his actual person. and I say created in quotes because I don't really think it was he who made them. I think it was the community. We were given characters that were kind of blank slates in a way, they had a basic kind of personality and some defining traits and goals. but that character only flourished and came alive when we, the community started putting our own thoughts and headcanons in them. These characters for me in my mind were mostly filled with other people's and my personal headcanons and stuff from other stories and people's personal interpretations in fanfiction and artwork, and I think it's very important to separate these characters that people like and enjoy from the actual person who is terrible and shouldn't be given a second thought. I really feel that the characteristics and personalities of these characters were built up so much more by the community, and waaaay less by the content creator himself. I think that these characters made should not be attached to him anymore. They shouldn't, because in a way they are ours.

We should separate them. We can separate them.

*Also! I've seen so many really cool ocs that have sprung forth based off of these characters, and I just gotta say: Way to go! I think that further disconnecting these characters from him by putting your own spin on them and even replacing his characters in your story with your ocs is a really cool thing, and I love seeing it!

Moving on from this man is going to be really hard, for some people more than others especially considering the insane impact he had on so many peoples lives, and I want you to know that you can take all the time you need to process your feelings and thoughts on this situation and make the best decision for you on how to continue. Your allowed to be upset. I'm upset. But, I'm really proud and happy that so many in this community aren't supporting an abuser. (heck even the dream and Tommy stans teamed up)

As for me, I will not let this ruin the dream smp and it's story for me, or any other story that he was in. I will continue to make fanart of the many other characters featured in the smp and other stories, as well as make fanart of other content creators. Although I have been deeply affected by this, I was honestly always really a fan of other people and their povs more anyways. (like Eret, Technoblade, Tommy and Quackity.)(and these are just a few others I watched!! you should really give everyone's povs a try :))

Lastly, and again I absolutely must make this SO SO CLEAR: FULL SUPPORT TO SHUBBLE!! She is so so brave and amazing for speaking out about this, and I highly encourage everyone to support them in any way you can!!!!! SHUBSCRIBE!! They are almost at 1 million!! Instead of focusing and wasting your time on him, please give all of your attention and care to her!!

Wishing you the strength to continue, process what's happening, and move on safely and smoothly, and wishing Shelby all the goodness and love in the world to recover and heal from this. ❤️

Fuck it crossover of my ocs in the op world: Jeong as captain, Hana as first mate, Yrz as doctor, Kiba as navigator, and masa as…. a menace, honestly (but also he does the cooking. Is it people?? Who knows! Not the crew!)

Jeong got spit out in the grand line, picked up a sword and a job as a bounty hunter and just went from there. No devil fruit. Saw the crew forming and went wow I am the only functioning adult here! Unfortunate!

Hana is the daughter of a world noble who fucked off into Adventure the first time her gross family handed her a slave, and then tried to engage her to her half brother for Purity’s Sake. She’s as op as always, and definitely has haki and some sort of broke devil fruit lol. Honestly she’s just vibing here.

Yrz is an ex marine, save how shit the government was and went lol no and became a pirate. He joined Jeong because they were A Normal Adult. He didn’t want to be captain or first mate! No devil fruit because giving up the ability to swim in a water world is Very Stupid.

Kiba is a drifter from a blue. He’s got his canon backstory but instead of Tsume being chill, she was an asshole. Because he couldn’t find a partner he got exiled from the clan and his island instead. He probably became an information broker pretty young. he’s interested in the history of the world. He got a devil fruit that makes him really hard to remember, aka the source of all his problems lol. Or he could also be an escaped cipher pol agent! Got that ninja shit going on lol.

Masa is Just Some Guy who came out really fucked up. They’re all transmigrations still, so he had his wandering the afterlife forever phase already. This new world is so much fun (for him)! He’s a mercenary who’s been damn near everywhere. The rest of them probably met Masa while he was breaking out of impell down (for fun! He still eats people :)). Ue is some sort of function of masa’s haki aura or devil fruit, I can’t decide which is funnier. Ue is waaaay more physical though and really likes Hana’s company for some reason.

Honestly the crew stays together because all of them are transmigrations. Except for masa. Masa is there because Jeong took on look at him and basically chained themselves to his side to stop Masa from Making Things Worse On Purpose :)

i hate being reminded that it even exists 😭 out of grim curiosity i usually check to see whats going on at each release but its just..........................................its just so bad...............................................................................................

like its so out of character that i cant consider it canon even if i wanted to......... and its so BORING too!!! its so lame...........its So lame...

it doesnt make me sad anymore at least it just makes me laugh now (especially now after book 2) but like....darkly...just like... Oof...... oof......... but yeah the way clem is written specifically is actually laughable im sorry but that really is tangerine

i hate when characters get reverted just to retell the same story. like its doubly insulting. and its pretty much what tillie did with clem. and its BORING!!! and i just have to reiterate again that its also laughable. its just....painful honestly 💀 the plot is boring the characters are boring clem is a mess and her pre-existing (EXTREMELY IMPORTANT) relationships to characters from the game are basically non-existent. and we're not having any INTERESTING discussions!!! what are the themes what are the messages what is tillie trying to say here? im getting a big load of reused character arcs and what feels new falls flat on its face. clem isnt even a shadow of her former self shes a different character entirely. and she is crying waaaay too much. shes got the anger of S3 clem and not even a Fraction of the emotional regulation S1 clem had. and she was 8 then....

and her naming her prosthetic 'kenny' is fucking stupid

ive seen some people say that it would actually be an interesting comic if clem was removed from the story but i dont agree. its fucking lame and boring. i love the zombie setting for the stories it allows a writer to tell. for the emphasis on character it allows. and this is probably the most boring piece of zombie related media ive ever laid my eyes on. this definitely feels like it was written by a romance writer trying to figure out how the zombie setting Works as a storytelling device. with a beloved preexisting character that theyre Also trying to find the voice of. and we're watching it in real time. and its Painful.....

S4 will Always be the True end to clementines story. its too perfect. and it also marked the end of telltale. it was a love letter to the series. its very fitting for both clem as a character but also as a last goodbye from a beloved studio. the still not bitten teams signatures on the hallway walls always gets a sob outta me. that final goodbye... clem was meant to spend the rest of her days at ericsons with the community she helped cultivate. ive said it a million times but her losing her leg is Symbolic. the first episode isnt titled "done running" for no reason. clem never Liked being on the road. all she ever wanted was a safe place to call home. with people she trusted and loved. and now the comics are retconning all of that just to retell the same story but Badly. why should i give a shit about that?

whats unfortunate is that i DO think there are still things that could be explored with a post S4 clem. shes got what she wanted: a home. (relative) safety. community. however she has new limitations due to her injury. how would she adjust to this? after spending so many years on the road? after having to do so much independently? only having herself to rely on for the most part? these are the goals im trying to achieve with my own short little fic (that ive been working on for too long):

she would never Want to leave ericsons. home is what shes been looking for since S1. but now that shes Safe. now that she can turn off survival mode a little bit and actually Relax for once. shes going to begin Processing EVERYTHING shes been through up until this point. the true healing starts Now. but she cant run from it. so how would she reconcile these things? the whole point of ericsons was that they were a community of traumatized kids who found love and support in each other when they had nothing else. aj says it himself (S4 is Very clear in its messaging). THAT is the perfect setting for clem to ALSO have this grieving/acceptance process that she Desperately needs. everything shes been through up until this point is going to hit her like a truck. the true healing starts NOW. shes no longer fighting for her life 25/8. and when the brain can get out of survival mode it begins True processing mode.

one of the issues with the comics is that it puts her BACK into survival mode. but of clems own choosing! no matter how much her processing hurts and no matter how much she could want to run from those feelings, she has always wanted True Community more than Anything. having to reconcile those feelings is interesting! i Do think tillie is trying to have some of these conversations. but they all fall flat. her understanding of clem as a character is weak. and the environment shes in is not conducive to the healing process she wants clem to have. its a mess. i will always stand firmly in the camp that these comics should have taken place in the gap between seasons 3 and 4. that change alone wouldve boosted the comic. but unfortunately they chose.....This

anyway. back to my own post S4 adventures :)

1. Who would ask the other "would you still love me if i was a worm?" And what would the others reaction be?

...You guys know Aiden would ask 💀 He also asks stuff like "would you love me if I was a shoe" and other bullshit. Ash just looks at him like "...what."

2. Who plans the best dates?

Depends on your definition of best. Aiden plans all the cool/exciting stuff and he actually has the money for all the stuff he wants to do with her. Ash's dates are more romantic, if only by virtue that they're in quiet places where they can be alone. Tho neither of them plan dates a lot they just kinda end up alone together lol

3. Who's the best at carnival games?

Aiden's been to a lot of carnivals and he's a good shot with a BB gun! Ash doesn't really like carnivals (overstimulating) but she's good at the fish pond and ring toss.

4. Who drags the other onto rollercoasters?

Aiden LOVESSSS rollercoasters so much, its a great way to get his adrenaline up! He'll ask Ash a lot to go on one too, but he won't force her (rollercoasters are *really* loud, especially all the people screaming, and he wouldn't make her do anything that causes her pain)

5. Who does the most chores?

Ash is pretty strict about chores, and she makes sure any household stuff is evenly split between them, but...I mean, she helps Aiden with his own chores cuz he's really bad at cleaning and stuff 🫠

6. Who gets drunk faster?

At some point in the future: Depends what you mean. Aiden has a higher tolerance but he would also drink WAAAAAY more than Ash ever would, so he would get drunker "quicker", but if they were drinking exactly the same Ash would get tipsy faster (vertically challenged struggles fr 😔)

7. Who watches more reality TV?

Aiden likes all that crap like Big Brother and stuff, watches reruns at night when he can't sleep.

8. Who is more likely to insist their way is the best way, even though objectively its the worse?

Ash is more stubborn than Aiden is but her way is probably waaaay better than Aiden's way 🤡 Aiden might insist for a bit but he also finds arguing to be kinda boring so eventually he would drop it

9. Who believes in ghosts?
