Okay so no offence but has anyone see this chapter? Why is not the boruto tag full with these babies? OMg it's incredible the crush that Metal has in Shikadai, he’s literally saying his name and then he just add “and the others”
Also, Metal Lee is too cute for this world like... absolute cinnamon roll

And I can't wait to know more about these two

Introduced to the Class - Shino Aburame x Reader
Beams of sunlight peek through the beetle-themed curtains. The beams all go the same way, down towards (y/n) Aburame.
Feeling the sunlight warm the top of her (h/c) hair, she yawns softly into her hand, and sits up, a bright smile gracing her (s/c) skin. Looking at the small clock on her bedside table, she sees that it is already close to noon.
Peeking behind the small clock, she catches sight of a (f/c) sticky note taped to the back.
“(y/n), I hope everything went well on your mission. Rest. Love, Shino,” she reads the words on the sticky note aloud, feeling her heart flutter at the sweet words of her husband.
Yes, Shino Aburame is married. Although it happened to be an arranged marriage, the two shinobi grew to genuinely love each other. It did take a lot of time and patience to really get to know each other during the first year of their marriage.
As soon as she finishes the note, (y/n) moved onto her routine of breakfast, showering, and dressing to go off to Shino’s classroom at the academy so they could spend lunch together.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
“Alright everyone, settle down! We still have thirty minutes until lunch time, so for now, we will be reviewing the chakra natures. We will also go into a discussion, later on, about the advantages of each chakra nature as well. So, get out your books and read quietly,” Shino says strictly.
As soon as he heard the tell tale signs of the students’ books opening, Shino sits down and begins to grade the assignments from last week. The insect user is glad to have some silence in his class. He cares very much about his students, but they could be real troublesome most of the time.
He looks up momentarily from his grading to see Boruto, Shikadai, and Metal Lee sitting together, playing their hand held gaming systems. Frowning, and trying not to growl in frustration, he goes to reprimand them, but falls to the ground, feeling something collide into him, or rather someone.
“Shino, I brought lunch for the both of us,” the familiar voice of his wife helps him relax, but the pain in his back and shoulders does not go away.
“Aburame-sensei, who is this woman?” Sarada asks politely.
The other students look at the woman as well, wondering why she made their teacher fall.
“Class, this is my wife, (y/n) Aburame. (y/n), these are my academy students,” Shino explains, helping himself and his wife up carefully.
“Ah, these are the munchkins my love always talks about! You’re all so adorable! I really want to hug and kiss all of you so much!” (y/n) responds happily, a tint of pink on her cheeks from embarrassment.
After the introductions, every students’ jaws fell to the floor and screams of shock could be heard throughout the whole academy. She answered all of their questions happily and bubbly.
Shino let his class be distracted this one time. He couldn’t ask for a better wife or group of students.

A Victor’s Awakening
Relationship: Uzumaki Boruto x Uchiha Sarada
Genre: Fluff
Summary: After his fight with Kawaki, Boruto wakes up from a coma three months after and greets his freinds and family. One particular friend, however, was pretty pissed off with him and slaps him the first time they meet after the fight. Oh, the life of a tsundere.
It was warm. He was laying down and it was warm. That’s the first thing Boruto feels when he wakes up. He’s laying down, it’s warm, and he’s cold. Boruto opens his eyes, but he has to close them immediately after a bright light almost blinds him. He tries again, this time squinting to make his eyes used to light.
It’s a bright LED light that’s blinding him. Definitely not the light in his room. Boruto looks up at the light, realizing it’s just like the hospital lights, and he frowns.
Boruto feels someone beside him and he turns his head. Sakura’s standing there, jotting down words on a chart and her eyebrows furrowing in concentration as she reads the papers on her clipboard.
“Aunt…Sakura?” Boruto’s voice was raspy and rough, making Boruto cough to clear his throat. He sat against the pillow on the hospital bed.
Sakura jumped at the sound of his voice, almost dropping her clipboard in the process. Her green eyes were widened comically and she held her clipboard against her mouth, as if she was hiding behind it. Then she pulled it away and leaned in close, almost yelling, “You’re awake!”
Boruto blinked and nodded, “Yeah?”
Sakura wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tight, “Thank goodness. I don’t know what we would have done if you were gone.”
Boruto smiled and tried to chuckle, but all that came out was a wheeze. He winced and whispered, “Aunt Sakura, you’re squishing me.”
Sakura immediately stopped and she pulled away, “Oh! I’m sorry.”
Boruto smiled and Sakura stepped away, a big grin on her face. Sakura chuckled and she picked up her clipboard from the bed, nodding her head fondly, “You weren’t supposed to wake up until next month.”
Boruto blinked and frowned, “Next month? How long was I asleep?”
Sakura froze and looked down at him solemnly, “Boruto…you’ve been in a coma for three months.”
“What?! In a coma?!”
“It was understandable. Your condition was pretty severe. We’re lucky you were even alive. Your curse mark saved you and the village.”
Boruto sat down and looked at his hand, his curse mark looking up ominously at him. The curse mark that defeated Kawaki. There was a time that he would have done anything to get it off of him, but he couldn’t be more grateful to have it now.
Sakura put the clipboard back in its place and turned back towards Boruto, “I’m going to let you get dressed. I’m going to go tell your paren-…”
Sakura’s voice faded away and Boruto turned to look at her, she was facing the door, her head looking down. She turned around with a panicked expression, “I’m sorry Boruto! I wasn’t supposed to-“
“I get it,” Boruto interrupted, “Go tell mom and Himawari. I’ll go down once I’m dressed.”
Sakura smiled sadly and turned towards the door.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t save Uncle Sasuke.”
Sakura stopped, a hand on the door handle, “These days, not everyone can be saved. Death comes eventually, theirs…just came earlier.”
When Sakura closed the door, Boruto swung his feet off the bed, taking a step towards the window and peering down at the village. It was still a mess. Buildings were still crumbled, debris was still on the floor, the train tracks still destroyed, and the Great Stone Faces no longer recognizable. Yet, he was smiling. Despite all the destruction, kids were running around playing tag, neighbors were greeting each other kindly, and people were hard at work fixing up the village.
Still, he will admit remembering his dad’s death still brought down his mood. It was sudden. It was brutal. And it was still a fresh wound.
Boruto stepped away from the window and grabbed a shirt by his nightstand. His shirt. He picked it up and threw it over his head, his nose not missing the scent of his mother’s favorite detergent. He then took his pants in hand. He fingered the tough material, he was almost surprised that it wasn’t caked with all the blood he lost in the fight with Kawaki.
He slipped on his pants, his eyes scanning over every new scar on his legs, and buckled his belt. Then, his hand hovered over his jacket. It was the last jacket his father ever bought for him. A sad smile tugged on his lips and he shrugged the jacket on, this time, for the first time ever, he zipped up the jacket to the top, just like his father did.
Boruto headed for the door, pausing when he sees that it has scratches on the wood. He furrowed his brows and looked around the room, surprised to see that it had cracks decorating the walls. One suspiciously looked like a fist.
He froze in his tracks.
“Oh, sh!t,” Boruto cursed under his breath. Boruto winced at the thought of what she would do to him once she sees him and almost regrets locking her up in this hospital room.
It wasn’t a smart idea, but it was the only thing Boruto could do to keep Sarada from following him to fight Kawaki. It was the only way. Naruto was sure to make the hospital the toughest building in the village for the protection of the ill and to stop Sakura from destroying it whenever she became frustrated. At least it was enough to keep her from joining in on the fight.
Boruto shook the thoughts away and turned the knob to leave his room.
When Sakura said that she was going to get his mom and his sister, Boruto was expecting to only find his mom and his sister, not half the village. The second he stepped out of the door, a loud roar almost made him deaf and he was almost tackled to the ground by his mother and sister.
“Nii-chan!”
“Oh, thank goodness!”
Boruto smiled and hugged them tight, bending down in order to place his head on his mother’s shoulder. He wrapped one arm around Himawari and one arm around his mother, letting out a breath of relief that they were safe.
Himawari looked up at her older brother, admiration clearly in her eyes as she studied his face. She tucked her head under his chin and hugged her big brother tighter. Hinata pulled away eventually and she frowned, “You had me worried sick!”
Boruto smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck, “Sorry, kaa-chan.”
“Look who rose from the dead.”
Boruto’s smile faded and he turned around to look at the new voice who joined in.
It was Shikadai, with Mitsuki, Inojin, Denki, Iwabe, and Metal following close behind. Boruto beamed at the sight of his friends and he rose offered a fist, “Hey, you guys!”
Shikadai looked down at Boruto’s fist and connected it with his own, the rest of the guys doing the same.
“Boruto!”
Again, Boruto had to turn around to find yet another group of people waiting for him. This time, it was the girls. Sumire, Cho-Cho, Wasabi, and Namida all offered bright smiles and tackled Boruto in a group hug. Boruto chuckled at the tight squishes.
“I usually don’t throw myself at men, but I’ll make an exception this one time for you, Boruto,” said Cho-Cho.
Boruto chuckled loud and the girls pulled away and started chatting away nonsensically, but Boruto noticed the absence of one specific person. He turned towards Sumire and asked, “Uh...where’s Sarada?”
“Boruto!”
At the sound of her loud demanding voice, he froze over and blinked. Behind the girls, Sarada was stomping in their direction. Seeing this, the girls immediately made a path for her and watched Sarada with fear in their eyes. Boruto smiled sheepishly and scratched the back of his head, “H-Hey, Sarada! I’m…”
With a harsh slap that echoed through the village, Boruto was interrupted and tears sprung in his eyes out of reflex. He didn’t really have time to react to the slap because Sarada immediately began her verbal assault, “Baka, Boruto! What did you think you were doing? Do you know how horrible it was being trapped in that room and watching you fight Kawaki? And then you almost die! I’m going to pummel you, you…”
While listening to Sarada’s screams, Boruto smiled fondly at his teammate. He watched her with fond eyes. He knows he should be pretending to be scared of her empty threats, but he just couldn’t keep his smile off his face. She’s okay.
“Why are you smiling, Boruto? Is my suffering that funny to you?”
Boruto beamed brighter and shook his head. Sarada crossed her arms and pouted, her fury still clearly evident in her face, yet, all it did was spark a flame in Boruto’s heart. Finally, Boruto couldn’t control himself anymore and he took a step towards her, wrapping an arm around her waist and using his free hand to cup her cheek.
Ignoring the collective gasps of the girls surrounding them, Boruto pulled Sarada into him and captured her lips with his in a breathtaking kiss. Sarada let out a cute gasp, prompting Boruto to smile into the kiss, before she responded with just as much fervor. Her petite, strong hands made their way to the strands of his blond hair to pull him closer and closer, if that was humanly possible. Boruto held onto her tight as they kissed passionately in front of their friends and family, Boruto managing to slip in some tongue and tugged on her bottom lip before pulling away.
He joined their foreheads and they panted to regain their breath. Once he calmed down, Boruto opened his eyes, and smiled when he saw Sarada still trying to catch her breath. He dove down to give her a few pecks and he whispered, “I love you. That’s why I did it.”
Sarada’s eyes opened wide, her words caught up in her throat, but Boruto knew what she wanted to say. She frowned at Boruto’s smug smile and her blush deepened. She dug her head into her shoulder and she hugged him tight, “Baka, Boruto!”
Boruto chuckled and hugged her back tight, relieved that he could finally confess to the love of his life.
“No hugs for me, Boruto?”
Boruto stopped and pulled away from the hug at the sound of the familiar voice. He grabbed Sarada by the shoulders, a desperate and confused look in his eye when he sees her smile and he asks, “Sarada, is that…”
“Turn around,” Sarada ordered, an excited smile on her face.
He complied and turned on his heel, gasping when he sees his old man smiling at him. He Boruto looks at his dad eye-to-eye, his mouth hanging open in shock.
“Tou-chan,” he whispered in disbelief.
“Don’t stand there like an idiot, dattebayo!” Naruto yelled, his smile growing when he sees his son in shock.
Boruto didn’t need to be told twice. He immediately wrapped his arms around his dad, burying his face in his father’s neck, his tears spilling out involuntarily. Boruto didn’t question how he was alive, he’s just glad his father is there.
“I missed you,” Boruto cried, his hands clenching Naruto’s jacket into his fists.
Naruto smiled and cradled his son in his arms, “I’m right here. I always will be.”
Boruto smiled and the two Uzumaki men held each other.
“You’re embarrassing yourself, Boruto.”
Boruto pulled away from his dad, his tears still streaming down his face and he laughed when he sees his dad glaring at Sasuke, “Way to ruin the moment, teme.”
Boruto turned around and spread his arms wide and yelled, “Shishou! You’re alive too!”
“No.”
“Oh, come on, sensei! Don’t be like that,” Boruto teased as he took a step closer to Sasuke, the older man glaring down at his pupil.
Boruto was allowed ten seconds of hug time before Sasuke pushed him away, a smug smile playing on his lips when he teases, “I would appreciate it if you never kiss my daughter in front of me again.”
“Papa!”
“Shishou!”

Shikadai just knew exactly what buttons to push.
It was one hundred percent ironic that even if Boruto was way better than him in videogames, regarding the real life, the blond was losing hard to his best friend. Especially when the teal eyed boy decided he was going to prove to Boruto how much the blond was into Sarada Uchiha.
Except that Boruto didn't need someone telling him that because himself was too aware of his feelings. The fact was he didn't want to acknowledge them out loud, hoping they'd soon vanish or transfer to someone way less.. Well, Sarada.
Deep down, he actually want to believe it was working. On the last mission of the team 7, Boruto only caught himself staring like twenty times at her. A number way lower than the mission before. If he continued on this path, his feelings for his female best friend would soon disappear, as they had never existed. At last, that was what he was telling himself nonstop.
Maybe it could have worked, if his eyes hadn't caught the exactly moment when he saw Shikadai wrapped Sarada's middle and pulled closer to his body, whispering something on her ear and pointing to the sky where a firework had just burst on the night sky. Sarada chuckled lightly, and shook her head, pushing Shikadai away.
It could easily be a innocent gesture between friends and that'd be what was roaming Boruto's mind if Shikadai hadn't directed his sharp look at Boruto, as if challenging him to do something about it.
Boruto only arched an eyebrow at him, trying to keep his feelings on check. If Shikadai was so eager to break him down in front of everyone out of jealousy, the guy wasn't getting it.
But Shikadai surely tried.
Never in his life, Boruto had seen Shikadai so handsy before and what bothered him the most was the fact that Sarada didn't seem to notice the sudden change with their friend attitude. She was laughing hardly on every joke he was voicing - especially the ones roasting Boruto - and even returning some of Shikadai's slight touches.
He thought that jealousy would never be a problem for him. In a way, he had been prepared, because first, there was Inojin. But his jealousy of Inojin wasn't really about hovering over his teammate, it was about how the blond guy was dating his sister, and how there was literally nothing wrong with him apart from his age - him being way too old for Hima-chan, in Boruto's opinion but apparently it was only his. To everyone else, Inojin was actually a perfect human specimen on all levels and Boruto was grumpy about it for a while, until Sarada alternately teased and badgered him into getting over himself.
"Oi, Boruto, you are kinda moddy today, aren't you?" Mitsuki shot at his way, out of nowhere. Boruto could swear the blue haired boy wasn't standing next to him five seconds ago.
Feeling his heart would escape using his mouth as a gate, Boruto took some seconds to recover from the scare his teammate just gave him as he glanced kunai at his way. "Mitsuki, you really need to stop doing that. I swear someday you'll give a fucking heart attack!"
A chuckled filled his ears and he turned to see Sarada looking at their direction. Boruto was still holding his chest, in a dramatic move, when the girl wrapped one arm on his neck, pulling him closer and poking him with her free hand. "The problem is not Mitsuki, you should stop being a scaredy cat." She teased as she used her finger to trace one of his whiskers on his cheeks.
Boruto felt his face burning with the power of a thousand suns and pulled her away. "Yeah, so why don't you go stay with Shikadai, I bet he's not the type who scares easily."
"Boruto..." She called out his name, but he was already walking toward Shikadai, who was paying full attention at something Chocho was telling him and currently frowning at it.
"...and that's the reason why we should be renamed to Team Chocho." The girl proudly stated, as her teammate scratched his neck.
"Mendokuse..." Shikadai said, closing his eyes.
Boruto almost let Chocho continue to talk to him, as a way to punish him for his behave that night, but his jealousy talked way louder. Fires of fury were smoldering in his own eyes as he weighed the pros and cons of the various and creative means available for him to punch his best friend.
"Chocho, do you mind if I talk with Shikadai for a minute?" Boruto glanced over the girl. "Alone."
"Of course, Boruto. You two surely have a lot to talk about." She pointed out, already preparing herself to leave.
"What do you mean by that?" Shikadai questioned her, as she started to walk away.
"You are a good actor, Dai, I'll give you that, and Boruto is doing a great job trying to hide his jealousy." Chocho shrugged, leaving the two boys back, confused.
Once she was far enough to hear, Boruto turned his head over his best friend, fighting the urge to give him a good punch on his perfect nose. Narrowing his blues eyes to Shikadai, he pointed to his best friend.
"Okay, Nara. That's enough, 'ttebasa." Boruto hissed, trying to sound at least scary, which it didn't seem to work, because Shikadai's eyes were filled with amusement.
"Enough of what?" He shot his eyebrows up, in a mock innocent tone.
"You know what, baka!" Boruto got closer to him. "I swear, if you lay a hand on her again, I'll cut your arm off."
For a moment, Boruto thought he was speaking a different language, because his threat made Shikadai shot him the most wide grin he had even seen.
"And why is that, Boruto?"
"Because I like Sarada, dattebasa!" He blurted out, a little too loud than expected. Even Shikadai wasn't expecting a full confirmation. The two boys looked around to see if anyone had heard it, and no one was look at their direction. Except for Mitsuki, who had a playful smile on his lips.
"Don't." Boruto warned before Mitsuki could say something. Shikadai had his arms crossed on his chest, giving the blond his usual 'I knew I was right' look. Boruto wondered for a moment about what would happen if he accidentally disposed of his eyes. Could his dad keep him from getting into jail?
Sighing deeply, Boruto started to walk away from his friends, turning back just to glance over Sarada one last time. She was talking excitedly with Metal, laughing about something.
"Boruto, I was just joking, don't go!" Shikadai screamed at his best friend, but he was fully ignored.
The street he was walking on was filled with people, happy kids running around and worried parents looking after them. There was still fireworks bursting through the dark night, fiery blooms amongst the start. Boruto only raised his shoulders and picked up the pace.
"It is rude to leave without saying goodbye to your partners." A voice behind him said.
"I am just not in the mood, Sarada." He retorted, his heart skipping a beat when she appeared in front of him, obliging him to stop. She had her arms crossed against her chest and Boruto had to dodge his stare. He'd like to think that, by now, he was already used to her beauty, but when she was in front of him, wearing a red kimono that matched her glasses with her hair loosen, without her bandana... Well, he felt his mouth become suddenly dry.
"Strike two, Boruto. Why are you so grumpy? You love watching fireworks since we were kids."
The strikes count was something Sarada would do every time Boruto was a jerk to her, without any reasonable motives.  Although this time he did have his reasons, he wasn't excited to actually let her know about them. He had once reached the strike three and the girl didn't speak to him for a whole week. Boruto thought he was going to lose his mind.
"Shikadai just know what buttons to push." The words slipped out of his mouth before he could even ponder them. He sighed in defeat, hoping she wouldn't get what he meant by that.
If she did, she didn't demonstrate it.
"Come on." She grabbed his hand, pulling him to a place where the crowd was emptier. Once they reached it, she looked around, and jumped to the roof of one of the houses as Boruto's eyes widened. That was so unlike her to do. "Just today." She shouted out from the roof, calling him with her hands.
He followed her, jumping to the roof where he saw Sarada disappear. The raven girl was already sitting on the tile, looking up, her glasses reflecting the different colors on the sky. Boruto just walked toward her and sat next to her, carefully not to touch her.
Although the fireworks were one of his favorite things, Boruto couldn't be less interested in the display than in watching Sarada's expressions, how they light up her face just as she smiled, like a perfect real life photograph.
"Do you like Shikadai?" The question blurted out of his lips, almost in a painful tone, as Sarada tilted her head to stare him, confused.
"Of course I like Shikadai, he is my friend." She stated like it was the most obvious thing.
"I mean, do you like like Shikadai?"
"Oh." She shook her head with an amused smile on her lips. "No, I don't think I do."
"You think?" He sounded worried, and Sarada hastily reassure him, shaking her head.
"Why the sudden interest in my love life, Boruto? Jealousy?" She teased, narrowing her eyes at her teammate.
He kept quiet, not sure if he should say the truth or lie to her, what he didn't realize was that keeping quiet was that his silent was a confirmation of its own and Sarada noticed it.
"Oh." She repeated herself.
For once, Boruto wished he could know what was going through her mind as she turned her head to watch the fireworks once again. Maybe it wasn't a good idea of letting her know about it, it could mess up their friendship and he felt terrified with that thought.
"I mean. I am your best friend, so it is okay if I get over protective of you, right?" He looked up to the lights exploding above their heads, vivid colors to ignite the otherwise black sky. The air had a tincture of gun powder, and Boruto scrunched his nose.
"Sure." She replied monotonously, as Boruto felt his heart breaking a little.
"Sarada..." He turned to her, but when she didn't look over his direction, he assumed the worst, terrified he was going to lose one of the best friendship he ever had in his life.
So, imagine how surprised he was once Sarada pulled him closer and literally smashed her lips against his.
For a moment, Boruto's eyes widened and then closed in, absorbing the whole thing. It was a shy and messy kiss and he still didn't want to stop. A few seconds longer and then, she parted it. Boruto didn't want to open his eyes, so he waited for her to say something until he had the courage to look at her.
Boruto was speechless, so stunned that Sarada merely chuckled, cupping his cheeks with her hands. "Stop or I will decree strike three."
He opened his eyes in a hurry, making her laugh even more and he felt like his heart was about to explode inside his chest, just like the fireworks. They stared at each other for a moment.
"You don't need to be jealous of Shikadai. He's not my type." She shrugged and he felt his entire body relax at hearing those words.
"Well, I did notice you have a good taste in guys, so I am not debating it." She rolled her eyes, but her smile got bigger and all Boruto wanted was to kiss her all over again.
"You suck." Sarada poked his side, her black eyes crinkled at the corners, her mouth soft and only slightly curved into the barest semblance of a smile.
"At least, I am good at kissing." He said, allowing only the faintest strains of amusement coloring his voice.
"Who told you that?" Sarada questioned back, visibly doubtful, enjoying the way his brows twitched in irritation.
"What do you mean by that, dattebasa?" He whined, pulling her closer and killing the distance between them. She was placed next to him, her shoulder slightly touching his as his arm was still wrapped around her middle. Sarada laid her head on his shoulder, looking up the sky. It was not a position Boruto wanted, since he wasn't able to admire her face, but he enjoyed the heat her body was sending his.
"Shut up, let's just enjoy the rest of the fireworks. It is almost at the end." Sarada muttered, their breathing matched together in a slow rhythm.
Boruto being Boruto, he managed himself to be quiet for exactly one minute and seventeen seconds.
"Sarada?" He called out for her.
"Hm?" The girl turned her glance from the explosions on the sky to his face.
"I am walking you home and I am getting a goodbye kiss." His tone was clear. That is not open for a debate. He couldn't think about a single thing that she could say to make him regret this decision.
But Sarada being Sarada, she knew him way too well.
"Dad's here." Her lips twisted upwards in a smirk, waiting for his response.
Dead silence.
Sarada felt his chest moving faster under her, as she did her best not to laugh at his face. Boruto clicked his tongue, as he peered down at his favorite dark eyes. "You know, there is fireworks every year. We really should kiss, like, now."
"What happened of taking me home?" She asked in return, squinting her eyes in a challenging way.
He leaned in to whisper on her ear, and Boruto felt amazing when he realized the shudder that crossed her arms. "I believe you are a capable kunoichi and no need someone guarding you."
"You are afraid we are going to get caught by papa." Sarada laughed, trying to put some distance between the both of them, but failing miserably when Boruto held her closer to his body.
"Right, this thought may or may not crossed my mind a few times in the last minute. It is really funny how many ways of dying I can think of." He pointed out, pinching the bridge of his nose as Sarada chuckled next to him.
"He's not going to kill you." She traced his jaw with her fingers and Boruto fought the urge of closing his eyes to focus on her touch because, well, they were talking about her dad and there wasn't a bigger turn off than that.
Boruto arched his eyebrow.
"I will ask him to have mercy on your soul." She completed.
"Thank you." Boruto found tremendously funny how they literally went from friends to basically acting like a couple in a roof. Words could not describe how much he was loving that. It was basically the Universe telling him they were meant to be since the very beginning. "But if your dad are going to kill me, we better make it worth, right?"
Unable to contain himself, Boruto leaned forward and pressed his lips to Sarada's. They were frozen for a split second before he felt her melting into his mouth with a little moan escaping. Her hand came up to grab the back of his neck and pressed their lips together more forcefully. Boruto gasped, clearly not expecting that, and Sarada took advantage of the slight part in his lips and slipped her tongue just the tiniest bit into Boruto's mouth, which drove him crazy.
He tilted his head to the side to ease the process, unsure of how fast or even how far Sarada wanted to go with that, and that was when it hit him. They were kissing. They were fucking kissing. He swooned and almost broke the kiss but Sarada grabbed him by the collar tightly and held him upright and the gesture is so bloody hot that Boruto had to steady himself additionally or else he’d probably faint. The fact that he did so by putting his hands on Sarada’s peachy thighs was pure coincidence, of course.
A whine came out of Boruto's throat when she separated herself from him. "Yep. Definitely worth it." Boruto said, with a look of wonder in his eyes. For a moment, he felt the rotation of the globe under his feet, the vastness of the universe and the meaning of life inside him all at once, then he identified the odd feeling as needing to breathe because he somehow forgot how to do that.
"Look, the fireworks are done." Sarada laughed and looked down, a blush starting to color her cheeks.
"What are you talking about?" Boruto started to make 'boom' noises near her lips, his hands simulating explosions. "See?"
"I need to go home." She stood up and offered a hand to help him, who were busy pouting as looking at her. Once he realized she was not going to let this go, he breathed out heavily.
"Fiiiiiiiiine, 'ttebasa." He accepted her hand, standing up as she did, but pulling her into a thigh hug once he was on his feet. The thought of not letting her go crossed his mind, but he got afraid that Sasuke might start looking for her.
"Boruto?" She pushed him, placing a kiss on his chin. She pushed his hair off his forehead and poked it with her index and middle fingers. "We are continuing it next time."
"You bet we are, Uchiha." Boruto whispered, his hand touching his forehead, where her fingers had just touched as he watched her leave.
Damn, he really loved fireworks.

why is Sumire so important in the anime? Boruto’s auntie is her team leader, she has nue, is a love interest (why play the Last song in her coming home scene?). If she’s a love interest, will it be instrumental to a major plot twist? Is she a “first love” and will die tragically? Boruto’s goal is to protect Sarada. Sarada’s wellbeing is his GOAL, that will not waver. I know you can protect your friends, but in future, when he protects Sarada, it just doesn’t sit well if his with someone else!
I...never got the feeling that Sumire was very important in the anime. Like ever. But that does not mean that I am diminishing her role in the story. I just feel that while she is relevant to the plot, she is just not in the “Hinata” territory. I feel that her importance is not from the romantic point of view but from the genuine plot point of view. I will come back to your first question later on.
Alright, first of all, let me rob you of the misconception that Sumire is a love interest. A love interest is a person where a person, say X, is romantically interested in (consistently), has romantic feelings for or is in love with. Sumire is none of the above to Boruto. She is, therefore, not a love interest to Boruto. Sumire, however, is romantically interested in Boruto. So, Boruto is a love interest to Sumire but not vice versa. Because Sarada is not very subtle with her affections for Boruto, Boruto is a love interest for Sarada as well. Conversely, unlike in Sumire’s case where Boruto’s feelings have not been shown to run beyond platonic fondness, Boruto has shown subtle actions which imply his not so platonic intentions towards Sarada. Hence, Sarada is a potential love interest of Boruto. This negates any chances of Sumire being Boruto’s “first love”. This is in direct contrast to Naruto where prior to the Pain Invansion Arc- Land of Iron Arc, Sakura was Naruto’s love interest while Hinata was Naruto’s potential love interest, but following which, Hinata became the love interest while Sakura was relegated to the potential love interest. This is based on the fact that Naruto had an out rightly stated crush on Sakura till prior to Land of Iron Arc even though his interactions with Hinata kept on receiving remarkable amount of development and importance. Following the same, Naruto’s continued interactions with Hinata and rejection of Sakura’s confession basically upturned their positions. So, Sumire is nowhere in neither “Sakura” nor “Hinata” territory. In fact, it is Sarada who seems to be in “Sakura”+”Hinata”+”Kushina” territory.
Second, I didn’t know that the background music played during Sumire’s return scene was from the Last. I couldn’t find the scene on YouTube to verify what you wrote. However, I will take your word for it. But honestly, I don’t think it’s that unusual. OST from Boruto: Naruto The Movie was used during the Vs Momoshiki arc. OST from original Naruto and Naruto Shippuden is also used in Boruto, so I feel it’s more of a logistical thing rather than anything else. Even if the director is using The Last OST to imply BoruSumi, I doubt that’s to imply that they are endgame. It’s more like using similar situations to camouflage BoruSara using BoruSara like NaruSaku was used to camouflage NaruHina through the former’s parallels to MinaKushi.
Third, it is true that she seems to...stick out? She has an interestingly tragic backstory, a unique set of skills AND a unique summon. Certainly such a character should be prominent right? Yet, she is placed on a team which barely seems to appear on screen and gets negligible development. If she were to have more impact on the storyline, she should have been with Metal and Iwabe while Denki should have been with Wasabi and Namida. Because let’s admit it, Team Udon is the only team apart from the Team Konohamaru and Team Moegi that gets any decent amount of writing. Team Hanabi seems to hanging somewhere between Team Udon and those two absent teams from Boruto’s graduating batch in terms of development of any kind. Yet unlike the rest of the characters, she appeared in Boruto manga if it was only to provide a romantic catalyst to Sarada.
As far as I am concerned, I think she is in the “Neji” territory. She might end up being the first major death from the new generation. Her connection to parallel dimensions via Nue as well as to research concerning Scientific Ninja Tools brings her at a unique crossroad where she might end up trying to protect Konoha’s secrets or prevent a portal to other dimensions being opened by Kara or from Naruto being sealed by Kawaki or preventing the coming of the space Otsutsukis to Earth or whatever other bleak scenario her unique position throws her in. Since Boruto is supposed to be darker and I personally feel she got off way too easily for trying to blow up the entire village, I think she might up having a heroic or tragic death, beginning a dark chapter for the entirety of the new generation and not only Boruto.
I don’t think Sumire is a tragic “first love” who died and left the hero heartbroken or something of the sort. Primarily because Boruto has not shown even a drop of romantic interest in her. In fact, since Sarada seems to have a hold over Boruto, it is BoruSara which will probably go through a tragic phase. Bear in mind, Boruto is supposed to lose everything he holds dear. His family is what is most important to him, closely followed by Sarada who is his oldest friend. But I do feel that Sumire will end up having a huge impact on Boruto much like what Neji did for Naruto. She was his “first villain” after all.
In terms of Hanabi being Sumire’s team leader, I feel that Kodachi or Kishimoto or both just decided to round up those in Konohamaru’s generation or the graduating batches close to his year or potential shinobi close to his age and just dropped off Hanabi on Team 15 thinking, “Oh yeah, so we have an all girls team which we need to complete the set of new Konoha 12. Since Konohamaru, Moegi and Udon have already been taken, let’s just put Hanabi out there.” I don’t think it’s much deeper than that.
Coming to Boruto’s goals, anon, I think you are mixing up three overlapping but very different things out here. First, Boruto’s goal to be a support and bodyguard to the Hokage. Second, Sarada’s dream to be the Hokage. And third, Boruto’s own personal desire or instinct to protect Sarada.
Boruto has clearly stated that his goal is to be a shinobi like Sasuke, that is, to be the support/bodyguard to the Hokage. To be the Shadow Hokage. Boruto’s goal is, by itself, not to be Sarada’s bodyguard. Neither is her well-being his goal. It is because Sarada dreams to be the Hokage that he said he will protect her when she becomes the Hokage. To make you understand what I am trying to say, if you take just this part of what both of them are aiming to be very objectively, I don’t believe there is anything wrong with either of them ending up with two different people and not each other because they have intertwined career goals, not personal life goals. Say in this scenario, if it was Shikadai who wished to be the Hokage, the very question of BoruShika whether or not happening wouldn’t have existed. Because it would have been an entirely platonic situation. Much like Naruto and Sasuke at present.
But Boruto’s desire to protect Sarada, his investment in her well-being and his unwavering support to her is his own personal desire, something which exists independently outside their career goals. It existed even before Sarada wished to become the Hokage, even before Boruto found his own shinobi path and will continue to exist even if someday Sarada no longer wishes to the Hokage. It is because Boruto and Sarada have an extra helping of personal investment in each other which have romantic implications that makes the situation so much more....I don’t know....romantic? Had there never been any meaningful ship tease between Boruto and Sarada, I doubt that Boruto and Sarada having intertwined career dreams/goals and yet landing up with two different people and not each other would have bothered any one (including you and me). But because there has been a great deal of meaningful romantic implications, I do believe that, yeah, it would make for a very icky situation if BoruSara is not endgame. The chances of that ever happening is almost zero however.
I don’t doubt that neither Boruto’s goal to become the Shadow Hokage and be a support/bodyguard to the Hokage nor his instinctive desire to protect and care for Sarada (or his other friends and family, for that matter) will ever waver. If the flashforward is anything to go by, Boruto has shaped up to be an extremely admirable young man in the future who doesn’t seem to take things lightly.
