The renovated apartment by @mursetmerveilles exhibits elements from a transitional decor style which intertwines #contemporaryfurniture and appliances with classical features and a dramatic flair.

This effect is established with luxurious and imposing lighting fixtures, velvet #couches and #loungechairs , and decorative art in the form of paintings and flowery wallpaper.

All of this comes shrouded in the intense beauty radiating from the deep colors lining the walls of each room ranging from coral pink and deep green to black and ocean blue.

The same depth is present through details like the glossy, earth-toned kitchen countertop and the gold accents framing pendants, mirrors and table legs to create a luxurious feel.

i desperately wish gw2 had more food-centric lore. i think about asura food more than is probably particularly reasonable. they're sort of implied to like molecular gastronomy in the lvl500 chef quests which is fitting and makes sense, but surely not every asura is eating bespoke Pea Spheres day in and day out right? i think my favorite angle on them is a sort of 50s-80s american-esque food style where there's a huge emphasis on things being Convenient and Scientific, so you'd get a lot of absolute slop tv dinners and canned items that have labels boasting how they were nutritionally fortified and contained your day's complete vitamin intakes and so on. a lot of jellied things. i do also fully believe they would have + eat soylent.

The historic estate renovated by @luke_moloney_architecture retains its classic grandeur alongside modern alterations that make this an exceptional homestead.

The design fills the multiple openings in the house with a Scandinavian type of decor based on traditional paper lamps, minimalist furniture, and supple winding forms.

These elements are paired with Greek columns, stately arches and dark fixtures that contrast against the white walls. The grandiose effect culminates with the integration of striking statement pieces such as the mustard yellow velvet couch, an oversized multicolored carpet, and the black spiralling staircase.

The interior as a whole reminds us that while inspiration comes from the past, innovation belongs to the present.
