People do not talk enough about how "Quintiles" - "Bi-quintiles" and "Quincunx/Inconjcunt" are still very powerful and very important too. I don't really know why are they considered minor aspects when they have such a powerful energy 😭.

Quintiles 72°/Bi-quintiles 144° are harmonious aspects kinda like sextiles but their energy comes more easier with a flow of mistery

Example: Ascendant Quintile Mars can give someone a very courageous*flow* and can make someone very attractive/hot

Quincunx/Inconjcunt 150° are very powerful aspects tho they are considered "minor aspects" they can be very powerful, because it shows something you can struggle/didn't reach the full potential yet .

Example "Venus quincunx Ascendant people can struggle with their appearance a lot because they are scared people are gonna judge them". They need to reach the full potential where they don't care about people's opinion anymore and they wear whatever they like.

the semi-square (∠) aspect in astrology is where two planets are 45° degrees apart 

a semi-square is the result of dividing a circle by 8. essentially, it is half of a the square aspect. because of this, squares indicate blocked energy or friction between two astrological bodies. 

the number 8 in numerology represents balance in the spiritual and materialistic world which is a key theme of this aspect. the semi-square aspect's tension aligns with the transformative nature of the number 8 in numerology, both pushing for growth, balance, and a harmonious integration of seemingly opposing forces.

samely with the semi-square aspect, this energy appears to be even more deeply blocked and manifests as external events. 

can bring irritation or agitation kinda like having a mosquito bite that’s itchy, but if you itch it, it can become even more painful

it can also be like when two people are sitting really similar to each other, but they can stand each other despite their similarities. they're not quite on the same page. they're not exactly fighting, but there's a bit of tension in the air. sorta like a friendly disagreement. 

can indicate blocked internal energy or sometimes areas of stubbornness or inflexibility to changes especially 

a series of chaotic circumstances and events can occur, sometimes repeatedly, because of this aspect when the demand of change is ignored instead of looking at this a way to look at something in a new way 

with these aspects, the individual often develops great persistence, endurance, growth, and productive results in their efforts to control and reconcile these difficult combinations of energy.

it can cause motivation for resolution to get things done and find a positive solution to whatever problem can be caused by this aspect in innovative ways, but one must put in the time and dedication. 

patience & maturity are key with this aspect to understand these energies to find a solution that does not causes any more problems

natal sun semi-square subtle tension between your ego, self-image, and how you identify and your emotions, inner self, and instincts. this aspect might lead to inner conflicts when expressing yourself outwardly while dealing with your internal feelings. difficulty harmonizing your self-image with emotional needs could result in moments of feeling misunderstood or struggling to express your genuine emotions. this aspect can motivate you to understand and integrate your feelings with your sense of self, leading to personal growth. balancing your logical expression with emotional intuition becomes important, though occasional mood swings and challenges in articulating emotions might arise. balance your projected self-image with your inner vulnerabilities, urging you to practice effective communication and healthy emotional outlets. this aspect presents both challenges and opportunities, ultimately encouraging you to bridge the gap between your identity and emotions for greater self-awareness and decision-making.

There could be moments of confusion or difficulty finding the right words to convey affection, potentially leading to misunderstandings. However, this aspect also brings opportunities for growth. I don't usually consider the minor aspects much [with the exception of the Quincunx, Quintile or Biquintile] so I don't consider myself the best person to give you information about it. I would not like to leave you with this answer, so I will attach my favorite post on the topic, it is quite complete, informative and has interesting examples [and was written by @sun-pluto whom I really appreciate].

In general I think they can be useful, especially if you have planets that do not aspect another planet or angle to the naked eye. Personally, I use a lot of what I told you before, the quintile and biquintile, and I interpret them as aspects of talent; they usually indicate talents related to the nature of the planets involved. In the case of the quincunx, I like to see it as a small opposition, or a kind of block of energies in which the native has to work either balancing the energies or becoming aware of the possible difficulties that this aspect can bring.

It's essential to clarify that this decision is based on personal experience and in-depth research rather than a surface-level understanding of my natal chart. Self-knowledge and empowerment are crucial goals in astrology, but we must also recognize that there are certain aspects we only grasp through extensive self-study and time – aspects that can be challenging to accept, such as the existence of empty spaces.

Just like the unexplored depths of the ocean or the mysterious particles smaller than protons and neutrons (and they're photons and gluons...), astrology too holds some uncharted territory, including the realm of minor aspects. While these aspects exist and have their significance, I believe that it is essential to distinguish between what truly contributes to a deeper understanding of oneself and what might merely fill gaps or serve as distractions.

In my practice, I focus on the principal aspects that hold the most substantial influence on a natal chart. I acknowledge that some astrologers find value in working with minor aspects, and this is a valid approach for them. However, I have chosen a different path, one that prioritizes depth over breadth.

Astrology, as a tool for self-discovery, invites us to explore the core elements that shape our personalities and destinies. By delving into the primary aspects, I believe we can gain more profound insights into ourselves and make better use of our time and energy.

Ultimately, every astrologer has their unique approach, and I respect those who embrace minor aspects in their practice. For me, the path of simplicity and depth is where I find resonance and clarity, enabling a more profound exploration of the self.

I made aesthetics for Venus-Saturn aspects

I've seen various aspect mood boards, some of them have been really on point, and wanted to try one for one of mine, then decided to do the rest of them for this planet combo.

I don’t really know all that much about minor aspects so take this with a grain of salt. I think minor aspects are felt more as inner tension versus outward.

Lilith sextile Chiron:

potentially confident

helpful

instinctive

might use others to heal themselves

embracing their sexuality might be empowering or healing

Lilith square Saturn:

stubborn

"my way or the high way" type

independent

rebellious

might feel like they're at odds with societal expectations and people

Lilith quintile Mars:

might not care about others opinions too much

proud

stubborn

ambitious

expressive

probably doesn't seek for other's approval

Lilith inconjunct Midheaven:

might have a lot of pent up rage or

fear of public image being tarnished or damaged

might suppress emotions

may sacrifice a lot for the sake of appearances

Hello! Hope you’re having a blessed day. ☺️ The only mc aspect that I have is venus semi sexitle mc at 0 orb. I heard they’re not important because they’re minor aspects, but I’m not sure. What does it mean?

Semisextiles is a minor aspect which would mean that they’re less known compared to the major aspects. But minor aspects are also important becuz they still ofc affect/influence the planets aspected.

A semisextile aspect would cause subtle positive friction between the two planets. Having venus semisextile mc could relate that your values, self worth, and beauty may be incorporated in your career field. Whether its something you unknowingly hold on to or maintain in the work field, semisextiles are like a milder aspect of the energies where you are keeping a look out between the planets energies, so venus’ ideals and values may mildly influence or be present in the midheaven which is of ur career field, career reputation, and workplace.

It’s kind of hard to grasp the concept 😅 but minor aspects are softer aspects that are influential but you would have to read between the lines or to introspect to realize the influence of the aspect. Whereas major aspects influence are more apparent to the individual .

I wanted to make this post because it just hit me. I notice with the South node and North Node energies. People tend to think that we are making things harder than it has to be. They don't understand that it's the nodes in our birth chart that require work and discipline, healing, and embracing.

For example, if someone has a south node in the 1st house and a north node in the 7th house. It could be challenging to connect with people and network because South Node you already established self-mastery in the past life. The north node is where it takes time and patience, growth to tap into. But it takes balance from both south and north to master both energies to be whole. It's always going to be opposite signs for the nodes in the birth chart. I can't wait to talk about it more in my free beginner astrology class.

Venus/ Pluto quintile: This aspect bring greater expression/ understanding towards the breaking of traditional partnership/ beauty structures

Mars/ Venus quintile: This aspect can make ones sex appeal/ attraction to be heightened, they may understand their desires very well and look for them in new projects/ partnerships

Depends on who you’re asking, to be honest. Astro.com uses 3, while some are strict and just considers a 0 for it.

Personally, I use 2, with 2 being a “ehhh I guess it still shows”. At the end of the day, it’s still up to you on what to use in these matters.

Honestly, i really don't know why people don't talk enough about it, minor aspects are very interesting aspects to look in a birth chart. Today we gonna talk a lot about the "Semi" aspects.

There are some "Semi - aspects" in astrology they are noted as:

Semi-Square/ 45°

Semi-Sextile / 30°

Semi-Quintile (rarely used in a birth chart)/ 36°

They are coming from 2 categories:

❦❦❦❦❦❦❦❦❦❦❦❦

Semi-Square: are harsh minor aspects they have *almost* the same influence the same as the major aspect "Square" but not the same energy.

The energy of the semi-square is similar to that of the square and sesquisquare, being one of the 2-series of aspects. It is therefore counted as one of the analytical aspects which show tension but also challenges that can help us grow and learn. However, any conflicts felt are not as immediately apparent as they are in the case of the square, making it easier to avoid them and miss an opportunity for growth.

So, a semi-square can indicate subtle tensions which we would rather ignore. This may intially seem tempting but is unlikely to lead to long term solutions.

Semi-Sextile: are negative minor aspects. The name "sextile" can be confusing and can make you think is an positive aspect, but they are considered negative for bringing this confusion, mostly happening to be from 2 different signs from different elements

Semi-sextile are a connection between two consecutive signs indicates a connection between two opposing energies, because consecutive signs always belong to different elements and have different qualities.

Examples:

Moon semi-square Midheaven can mean that your career might influence you a lot emotionally, might be a kind of "Follow your instinct", definitely very sensbile and in touched to the things around them. Your mother could also influence you a lot in your career

Ascendant semi-sextile Sun might show a person who can is trying to be a perfectionist, someone with a very powerful personality, jovial, very focused on emotions, kind of "No one needs to like me because no one has a good taste". Your energy might be very shining to others around you.

of course it depends on the other aspects and the astrological objects, houses, orb of the aspect, etc. involved.

when a quincunx or inconjunct involves the (asc) ascendant, the planet forming the aspect can potentially exert an influence over the native's self-image, physical appearance, and the manner in which they present themselves to the world that is particularly felt to the native subconsciously/to themselves. most of the times it causes the energies to not mix well like a house full of every aesthetic, it doesn't make sense and it doesn't go well together. it could lead to an ongoing search for balance and adjustment concerning these areas. it can also mean that some of these ideas associated with the ascendant that might not come naturally, indicate a weakness/low self-esteem, but also indicates potential and new possibilities that is not realized but that can be with adjustments and make peace with these contradictions to both energies and these patterns. depending on the other energy involved, this energy can show how you/how you should help to adjust to release this potential. this affect will be more nuanced, complex, or challenging due to the quincunx aspect.

What are your musings on the relevance of quintile aspects in natal/synastry charts? I read they are “spiritual in dimension” but would love to hear your clarifying, beautifully written thoughts on what that could mean. In my own chart I have quite a few of these aspects—chiron quintile north node and ascendant stand out the most to me.

Quintiles [72°] are minor aspects that show talents and abilities. So I rather use them when reading a Natal chart, I don’t find much purpose when it comes to synastry or composite. You can see talents also with trines, but one of the biggest differences it’s that Quintiles make you do something with those talents, it’s something more visible not only for others, but by the native. 

The effect of quintiles is that in addition to giving you the talent or ability, it also makes you have that ambition to make your talent something you're proud of. These talents can be artistic, scientific, social, of any kind actually. It is worth mentioning that the beauty of these aspects lies in the fact that it makes the native seem like a genius in the talent that they develop.

This aspect is very accurate, so you won't see it being more than a 2° orb. In order to interpret it properly we have to take into consideration the planets between which it forms, the houses where they are located and the signs where both planets are.

I strongly recommend you to take a look at @sun-pluto ‘s post about minor aspects, she explains it in such a marvelous way and she gives examples.
