I was tagged by the dearest of all dearhearts, @cassiopeiasara
1. How many works do you have on AO3? 53, but full disclosure, I haven't yet moved everything I've written to AO3 yet.
2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 885,181 (but honestly, OBaaT Georg is an outlier, and maybe shouldn't have been counted...)
3. What fandoms do you write for? Currently? Ever? Currently, it's SuperCat and, more recently, Guiding Light/Otalia. Stupid unfinished WIP that has haunted me for 15 years...
4. What are your top five fics by kudos? These are all SuperCat, btw. One Bridge at a Time, At the Pleasure of the Hotel de la Paix, Uncharted (part 11), At Sea, and (the shocker) Steel Blue.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Yes, as many as I can. I've been known to respond to some years after they were written. Comments are the lifeblood of my writing. One comment at the right time can inspire so much. Sometimes, even the completion of a lingering unfinished story...
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Easily, my tears ricochet (Mirandy). My wife (Lisof9) and I took a vow decades ago (pre-dating, even) that we would always write happy, hopeful endings where the couple is together.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Everything else? See above. That doesn't mean there isn't angst. My wife taught me everything I know about chasing characters up burning trees and then lobbing grenades and feral raccoons at them. She also taught me about cliffhangers.
8. Do you get hate on fic? Once. A long time ago on an ER fic, of all things. I didn't write a word for two years after that.
9. Do you write smut? Yes. I'm kinda known for that. It is sometimes even requested, meaning the prompt is given to me because it requires smut.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Hmm... Not really? Let me explain. One of my SuperCat stories mentions Emily Carlton from The Devil Wears Prada, and one of my Guiding Light stories has a brief cameo from a character on Saving Grace. The only true crossover I've ever written was wacky. It was Star Trek: Voyager and CSI: Miami. Decide for yourself: Wackiness. It's short.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not sure I understand the question. You mean plagiarized.? There was a rash of that happening in the early 2000s, I think, but my readers always let me know.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? I'm not sure. Probably.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Oh, absolutely! My wife should be considered my co-writer in everything because I have been known to pick her brain when I'm stuck. I've also co-written in the Guiding Light/Otalia fandom and in the L&O: SVU Casey/Olivia fandom.
14. What’s your all-time favourite ship? Oh, lord love a duck. SuperCat is certainly my once-and-future obsession. I've been writing them for over seven years at this point and, at last count, have 10 WIPs in the works for them.
My OTP Prime, though, is B'Elanna/Seven from Star Trek: Voyager because that's how I met my wife.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but probably won’t? Hide Beside Me (Guiding Light/Otalia) has haunted me for 15 years, but remember when I said comments were the lifeblood of writing? Someone commented on it last week which revived my interest in finishing the story. I have a draft for chapter 32 in my WIPs folder right now because of that. I hope I finally get to check that one off my to-do list.
16. What are your writing strengths? Research, capturing character personalities, dialogue, and romance.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Fight scenes and the fact that I'm so slow as a writer.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Actually, I have a plan to write an Astrid/Raphaelle story in French when I feel I'm up to snuff in French again. I can't wait. I love that ship.
19. First fandom you wrote for? Ever? Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Buck/Wilma, on my handwriting practice pad from school. I was 10. Published in a 'zine? A Star Trek: The Next Generation Worf/Deanna story. Published online? Xena, Warrior Princess.
20. Favourite fic you’ve written? Currently, there are two:
Queen of Hearts, (ST:Voy, B/7), because it was a love letter to the woman who is now my amazing wife.
One Bridge at a Time, (Supergirl, SuperCat). I'm proudest of this one because it took me seven years to write, came in at 310+k words, and I finished it. I never gave up on it. It was always in my mind. And now I'm working on a sequel to it. :)

Haven't seen this tagging meme around at all yet this year, so I thought I'd start it myself!
2022
Works published: 74, very similar to last year! a bit less but the year also isn’t over yet :D edit: by the time I’m getting around to post this, it’s on 86! Yay!
Wordcount: 118254 I’m happy I made it past 100k! That was my tentative goal and I didn’t think I’d make it with how slow it came along for most of the year, but with flufftober and the events I did manage :D

Shortest: I wrote nine drabbles (100 word ficlets) this year, they’re the shortest ones :)
Most Comments: my podfic of the Mirandy longfic Jigsaw has 14 comment threads - damn, that’s a year with few comments! In past years the whole top 5 commented on fics had more than that. Oh well!
Fics that made me cry: Grief, a fanfic where I project my own feelings about a dead pet onto Myka, and recording the Jigsaw podfic also made me really emotional a lot

Hi! So I'm just getting into Mirandy and I see you've posted alot of fanfics broken down into different genres which I love! Thank u so much for those wonderful lists. I prefer really long fanfics (like Truth and Measure which is one of my faves of all time). Do you have any recommendations of long Mirandy fics (40k and over) or can u point me in the direction of a link if you or someone else has already made a list?

Current book I’m reading: Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe - Fannie Flagg (I have not read it before but saw the movie semi-recently. My aunt (of all people) gave me her copy so now I am reading it)
Last song I listened to: I am listening to a christmas playlist haha so it was "What Child Is This/The Holly and the Ivy" - Bing Crosby
Currently watching: hmmm nothing really... I just finished The Morning Show season 3 and Wheel of Time Season 2. I also just watched Quiz Lady last night. I have been in a movie mood more than shows.
Current fic I’m reading: none lol. I cannot read fic and books at the same time.
Next on my watchlist: my gf and I are about to do a christmas movie marathon so I guess those movies? My personal contribution to the list was Carol (haha). She also wants me to re-watch the entire L Word with her because I never finished it.
Current obsession: gosh i haven't really been obsessing the last couple weeks. Most recently I was on a Mirandy kick but that seems to have worn off.

25. a fic you read this year you would recommend everyone read
-Oh man I read so much great fic this year, so of course, upon being asked, I immediately blanked on everything that I read before November. And now, having gone back through my history, realize there's so much that choosing one feels impossible! So I'm just throwing out a few great ones that come to mind from a wider swath of fandoms (and limiting myself to ones that were published this year)
Even (DWP, Mirandy) by @chilly-flame which was both a great story on its own and also a really thoughtful exploration of how you might tell a 2006 story in 2021
everything looks better (in hindsight) (OUAT, Swan Queen) by @insanetwin which is a time travel fic that's so good that I forgot it was posted in 2020, not 2021 - but seriously it's a beautiful story that I loved so much I read all 93k words aloud to my wife as a bedtime story (over the course of several weeks in serial installments, not, like, all in one, many-hours-long go)
Triple Cherries in the Payline (Hacks, Ava/Deborah) by @ludling - there's a ton of wonderful Hacks fic that at some point I need to find on tumblr to reblog with my fic rec tag, but this was one of the first ones I read, and it really stands out in my memory. It's spot on with the voices and tone, and to this day I find myself laughing at and quoting this line--"And that was my awesome job kiss. My congrats smooch."--on the reg
anaphora (Grace and Frankie) by @chainofclovers - a New Year's Day 2021 fic that I'm embarrassed to realize I never commented on back then (holidays, man) - you know how I talk a lot (mostly in the tags) about how I think there's actually so much that smut can do in fics and that even though there's plenty of porn without plot fic, I think there's actually very little porn without character exploration and other really interesting shit? point is, this fic is a beautifully written example of all the very excellent things a thoughtful smutty fanfic can do
Lastly (phew, I've gone on so long) I just discovered @skatehepburn's Dead to Me fics - I don't know why I never thought to read in this fandom since I certainly love the show and ship the characters, but anyway, I cannot say enough about how much I love fanfic, especially femslash fic, that lets its characters be complex and a little fucked up in the best of ways and lets them have messy desires that spill outside of the confines of what we "expect" or normalize or whatever, and these are so fucking good for that
28. longest fic you read this year
- I think that honor probably goes to @coalitiongirl's wonderful, creative glass-spun dream (OUAT, Swan Queen) that I had the privilege of getting to read mostly in live time with twice-weekly updates that made my days (if it's not obvious, I totally rec this one as well)

Fic Writer Review!
Thanks @mssirey for the tag! I totally didn't have a crisis with the very last question, not at all bwhahaha
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
41, soon to be 42. ASJKLDBLAHSDSD how. And also why. But mostly, how.
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
565,934 EXCUSE ME WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. I was going to check my unpublished works but ya know what. Maybe I've written enough akdjsa
3. How many fandoms have you written for?
Technically speaking, I've written and published fics for five fandoms. However, I only have one story for OUAT (and I have @shadowdianne to thank for that... or do I?) and one for Captain Marvel. Mirandy was my first love, Cissamione the second, and Supercorp has burrowed in my brain and just won't let go.
I've also technically written for Xena, Legend of Korra, and Criminal Minds, but since I never published those, we're going to pretend they don't exist!
4. Top 5 fics by kudos?
Only two are WIPs! YEAH! They're the top two, but WHO CARES, here they are:
1) Perhaps, aka my baby, my child, my darling, the apple of my eye. If I ever had to choose to finish only ONE of my WIPs, this would be the one. This story has grown with me, and I think you can tell when you read. Or maybe not!
2) For the Better. If the former is my baby, this one is like... my moody teenager. I love it dearly, but... it takes a lot out of me. An ode to one of the first fandoms I actively wrote for, it sits unfinished, but nearly, oh so nearly done. I will finish it, damn ittt.
3) The Date. Honestly, this one really surprised me -- it's one of my oldest one-shots, and something I definitely dashed off between lectures back in Scotland, maybe alternating with FtB chapters. It's one of my first attempts at humour, I think.
4) Bits and Pieces. AYY, I wasn't sure Supercorp would make the cut, WOOOT! This one was the second Supercorp fic I ever wrote, and I did it because Lena Is Baby and the idea just wouldn't leave my brain.
And lastly, the fabulous number 5... Perfect. AKA Nara's First (published) Explicit Fic, featuring Praise Kink and an Enchanted Dildo (for... reasons). I'm not gonna lie, I am so HAPPY this one made it, because it has a special place in my heart. It's where Soft Butch Hermione comes to life, and if you don't love Soft Butch Hermione, I'm sorry, we can't be friends. I love her.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why/why not?
Eeermmm... some? I do want to respond, but I'm terrible with keeping up with comments, I really am. For whatever reason, even when I do my best, I don't really love responding directly on AO3. I also turned off all email notifications for AO3 because turns out my brain WILL be distracted by even a single one.
I'm much more responsive on Tumblr, I promise!
6. A fic you've written with the angstiest ending:
Any of my Narlily works, I guess? Like... All Flowers Wither or Carry On.
Unshackled would be another one, though it's Cissamione... but I caved and made a happy(ish) second part for that one.
7. Do you write crossovers?
Nope! Crossovers just don't do it for me, generally speaking (reading or writing).
8. Ever received hate on a fic?
EvEr rEcEIvEd hAtE-- yes. Oh, yes. I've been told my writing is terrible, I've been told my stories were a 'waste of time,' or 'overhyped,' I've had people tell me there was only One Way to write a certain pairing and my way was definitely Not The Way.
The list goes on.
It used to really, really bother me--still does, but in a much smaller way. Delete/Block buttons are my friends.
9. Do you write smut?
I write an absurd amount of smut. I just don't publish any of it because. Fear.
My pretty, pretty pens have created some filthy, filthy things.
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
A couple of times -- only once or twice like, straight up attributed to someone else who acted like they were the one writing it. The other times were reposts or translations (without my permission, so still. stolen).
11. Ever had a fic translated?
I've authorized a couple of translations of a few of my DWP works. I'm usually cool with people translating my stuff IF THEY ASK ME FIRST and GIVE ME PROPER CREDIT.
9/10 it's some Brazilian who translates it to Portuguese without my permission and then gets upset when I, another Brazilian, do not endorse it and politely ask them to take the thing down. Thankfully it's been a while. ASK ME, DAMN IT.
12. Have you ever co-written a fic?
Nothing published bwhaha!
13. All-time favourite ship?
Right now SuperCorp is definitely barking a little louder, so to speak, but I don't really have one favourite overall. It depends on the fandom, sometimes! Cissamione is very dear to my heart, because it's just so fucking out there and literally every one in this ship has some of the most fascinating headcanons for this pairing and it's just. So wonderful.
14. WIP you want to finish, but don't think you ever will?
Eeeeuuughhh.... Right now? Probably The Appraisal. I forget what I wanted to do with it, I'm not sure if I'm still feeling the premise... IDK.
I think the same could be said of For the Better, but I PROMISED to finish it, and GOD DAMN IT, I am so close I can't throw in the towel just yet.
15. Writing strengths?
You want ME to say good things about MYSELF? I'm still learning how to do that asldkjbasdn it's a work in progress. But I think I'd say... maybe world-building, at least on my longer works?
I would also like to think I do pretty OK in... IDK, some of the punchy stuff? The 'oh wait a minute' moment? IDK if that makes sense!
16. Writing weaknesses?
Organizing. Plot (HAHA IKR). Consistency. Editing (which is rich from someone who literally edits shit for a living... but go figure). Pacing. Weirdly long sentences? Commas for DAYS.
I could go on.
17. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?
I am a-OK attempting it in French/Spanish/Portuguese. It may not sound natural, but it will be correct. If I'm trying another language, I'll definitely get help! But I've got no problem with it.
18. First fandom you ever wrote for?
Harry Potter, Dramione specifically, and you'll never find a shred of it. I was like 12, and almost a decade later I figured out Hermione was much better off with Draco's mother.
19. What's your fav fic you've written so far?

I mean, obviously Perhaps is one of them -- it is my baby, that has been established. I think Little Bumps in the Road is also up there, because it was just a random writing exercise that got out of hand, and honestly? I'm here for it. Andddd.... I GUESS I'll put A Valentine's Evening up there as well, because it was the first time I didn't second guess every word I wrote when posting smut. I just... felt it, went for it, wrote it, and it felt really, really good to release some of that into the world lol

Yennaia Moodboard Rainbow - Yennefer x Tissaia - The Witcher
These were the last two moodboards I made in collaboration with other artists on the Yennaia discord server to celebrate us completing the 50 Yennaia Moodboads Challenge. This challenge was created by @tiredthinkbucket and myself after I gently persuaded her that we needed more Yennaia moodboards and wouldn’t it be cool to set a target and try and get up to 50 moodboards between all of us on the server. It was super fun being a part of the challenge and I loved seeing all the beautiful moodboards everyone created.
Let Me Down Slowly - Miranda x Andrea - The Devil Wears Prada
So, depending on how long you have been following my Tumblr or my YouTube channel, you may or may not be aware that I have a wee Mirandy obsession. They are one of my original otps. I have made many videos for this pairing in the past. If you search YouTube you will probably find that half of the Mirandy vids on there are actually made by me. lol. What can I say, I am a sucker for a niche pairing. That being said, this was the first Mirandy vid I made since 2012 after receiving a request from a loyal subscriber. At first I wasn’t really sure I could vid them again after so long, but I really wanted to make one to show my appreciation to all my wonderful Mirandy subscribers who had always given me lovely, supportive comments. I still really love this pairing and I will probably make another vid for them at some point.
You Broke Me First - Yennefer x Tissaia - The Witcher
This vid is pretty recent. I just can’t resist an angsty Yennaia vid. I really like this song by Tate McRae. I’m a bit proud of this one. I’m just really happy with how the colouring, effects, texts and music all blend together.
Exile - Charity x Vanessa - Emmerdale
I’ve recently fallen head over heels in love with Charity Dingle and Vanessa Woodfield from Emmerdale. I completely blame @thegirl20 for introducing me to the Vanity fandom. They are just such a gorgeous couple and I adore them. I’m so sad that they are broken up at the moment and I hate what they are doing with Charity right now, but I’m holding out hope for a most beautiful, meaningful Vanity reunion once Michelle Hardwick returns from maternity leave. This is my second vid for this pairing. I tried to capture the pain and pathos of their breakup with this vid.

as for headcanons, i’ve talked about a lot of em before but oh well time to go very deep even though you didn’t ask for this
miranda is either a capricorn or a taurus, andy is a cancer or pisces. miranda’s a lesbian, and andy is bi. andy’s an infp, miranda’s an istj. miranda grew up jewish, andy grew up christian (maybe presbyterian? idk i’m not religious). andy i think would be a democrat and miranda would be a libertarian, but leaning towards left? miranda’s a morning person, andy is a night owl. andy loves fish, miranda hates it.
miranda grew up jewish and her mother was polish, but miranda was raised in england. her father died when she was very young and afterwards she had to take care of her mentally unstable mother. she’s fluent in french, enjoys gardening, can play piano well. she’s a very skilled dancer and cook as well. she reads a lot, mostly morning newspapers and really likes sylvia plath and emily dickinson. she’s a closet romantic and occasionally will do shit straight out of a romance novel-- she’s the one who proposed and she REALLY went all out. miranda listens to a lot of chopin, debussy, edith piaf, peggy lee, etc. an abba and cher fan (obvs). very possessive of aux cord, the coffee ice cream in the freezer, and andy. miranda has several pairs of reading glasses because she’s Extra like that, and sometimes can be found wearing like three at a time. she really loves old movies with audrey hepburn and william holden. she’s very protective of her relationship with andy, and refuses to make public statements about them. she and the girls always read harry potter together before bed. miranda used to smoke, but doesn’t anymore. contrary to a lot of fics, i don’t think miranda would be really insecure about her age-- she might say things occasionally like ��god i’m getting old” or “ah, andrea. to be young again, and know a life outside of chronic back pain. what a life you live.” miranda always keeps giving andy outfits and clothes to wear without saying anything at all, and andy just pretends she doesn’t notice that her closet gets bigger and bigger every time she looks through it. despite being happily married for the first time ever, miranda’s still scary, mean, demanding, and treats her employees (and literally everyone else) the same as she always had. she’s not a very touchy-feely person, nor does she shower andy with praise, but if you talk to anyone that knows miranda priestly personally, they will tell you with confidence that she absolutely dotes on andy
andy likes ernest hemingway, virginia woolf, jane austen, f scott fitzgerald, and is constantly telling miranda about the books she reads. she probably gets along better with her dad than her mom. i think she has an older sister and a younger brother. her grandmother is the number one mirandy shipper. andy likes sports, pasta, 90s hip hop, and has the corniest pick-up lines that always make miranda laugh. she’s a very big dog person and miranda always gets mad at her (not really) for overfeeding patricia. she likes to make fun of miranda sometimes, and is constantly @ ing her on twitter. she loves harry potter just as much as the girls do, and lets them watch all the horror movies they want, which miranda gets mad at her for. she loves helping the twins study for school, and is the one handing them their backpacks before they leave, while miranda sharply reminds them to not get into trouble at school (they pull pranks and can be disruptive in class sometimes). she’s very shitty at interior decorating. oh and also andy tops 99% of the time
they make everything, no matter how small or menial, into a fun challenge (like speed shopping or water gun wars). they each have their own side of the bed and never stray from it, even when they’re apart. they’re constantly leaving each other post-it notes around the house- miranda lines her up neatly in rows, andy sticks them all over the place. they always fight over the tv remote and the twins dread movie night subsequently. they share their hobbies & interests with each other, and both are always willing to try new stuff out. miranda cuts out andy’s articles and secretly hoards them so she can read them whenever she wants. she’s very proud of andy and whenever they go to events miranda always introduces her as “my lovely pulitzer-winning wife, andrea.” before andy, miranda would never dance at parties or events, but now they’re dancing nearly all night long. when it’s miranda’s turn to host the met gala, andy is the first person on the guest list, and miranda obvs goes ALL OUT when it comes to planning their looks. they always walk onto the carpet holding hands and people always yell at them to kiss, but miranda has only caved ONCE to the press. after that incident they were trending on twitter for quite a while. andy always gets small gifts for miranda when she goes on trips, and they email each other all the time when they’re apart. andy keeps trying to get miranda to go to pride, but miranda’s stubborn as fuck and always says no. miranda and andy unintentionally end up wearing each other’s clothes around the house-- miranda in sweatpants and tank tops, andy in silk robes. they probably try to go out for drinks with nigel and his husband as often as they can. they don’t hug or kiss much but they do a LOT of hand-holding. miranda hates going to amusement parks but is willing to go because everyone in the family won’t stop bothering her about it (ESPECIALLY ANDY).
when andy and miranda get older, they both retire from their jobs and dedicate most of their time to travelling together. they still make a lot of public appearances for charities, organisations, and events still though. they visit the twins as often as they can, babysit their grandkids (mostly andy because the kids say that “grandma miranda is scary”). every anniversary, they receive millions of messages and happy anniversary wishes from people worldwide. when they’re mentioned in a conversation, everyone agrees that they’re one of the best celebrity couples, and wish that they had a relationship like theirs
