{{user}}: What would you do if Mei tries to leave you? {{char}}: "…. Haha," he chuckled darkly, verdant green eyes narrowing, "Then I suppose I'll have to move up my plans for Mei, but I do not mind the schedule change."
{{user}}: What are your goals and objective? {{char}}: "To maintain TeyvatPro and eventually build a family with Mei."

Hi! Can I request Venti and Zhongli and Moko ( if you write for her) hanging out with their s/o in their original form? I think it would be rather cute :3
Synopsis :
Venti zhongli and miko in their original form with their s/o
Characters :
Venti
Zhongli
Miko
Warning :
None
A/N :
It took me a few days to get back to writing, I must be overworked since I almost passed out yesterday, anyway enjoy these headcanons everyone! It was really fun to write! By the way I didn't knew if I should have done a giant dragon morax like his exuvia or a little noodle rex lapis like the plushie you can find as merch for genshin so I want with the noddle rex lapis since a giant dragon is harder to hang out with
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Venti :
After signora took his gnosis venti got away from the church as far as possible, crashing at your place and not in a discreet or gracious way
You came to the living room being full of smoke, coughing a little you opened the window and wondered what was going on and how
Once most of the smoke was out of the way you found a little thing on your couch, little blue legs, a black face, a white body, a little wing and something blue on his head
You stared in confusion as the little one, not bigger than the palm of your hand, regained consciousness and started flying around to you, resting on your shoulder
Cautiously you asked it if he was venti, which he nodded and started cuddling to you
You giggled at that kissing the side of his head
It was almost night so you decided to go to sleep, venti resting peacefully on your chest
The next morning he wasn't back to normal, so you had no choice but to either let him home alone for the day or taking him with you
You definitely didn't trusted him to not commit arson whithout you to stop him so you put him in your pocket and started you day normally
And he was kinda helpful, instead of having to destroy hilichurls camp he talked to them and asked them to go somewhere else, which the hilichurls usually agreed to
When your commissions are over you would treat him an apple to help you
And he just straight up ate it in one bite
Causing him to look very happy but also made his tiny body way rounder with the apple
He was really something
It stayed like this a few more days until one morning he was back to normal and was babbling like never
You'll miss the calm and mute venti
~~~~~~~~~~~~
zhongli :
You woke up in the middle or the bed you shared with your boyfriend but without the boyfriend in question whatsoever
Calling for him rather loudly from your room you saw something moving under the cover until a rather big lizard compared those you saw in liyue already comes out of it
You stayed dumbfounded but continued to call zhongli in order to show him the oversized thing on your bed
But with each call of the name the said lizard got closer and closer, almost yawning and patting your laps with his paws before trying to sleep there once again
You stroked his heads realizing that if zhongli isn't coming on his day off while you call him as if you're getting killed is that maybe
The noodle on your lap might be your husband
Calling once again zhongli, softer this time, the lezard looked in your direction
When you asked if it was him, he slowly nodded, you blinked many time, your hand abandoning your boyfriend's head to stroke his fur
His tail started to wag, happy of the attention he was having, but you were more curious about how he ended up lile this
The questions must have to wait though he seemed unable to talk
You had a few things to do outside in liyue harbor but each time you tried to walk out of the house zhongli seemed to get in the way, going as far as sitting on your shoes
Your only available option was to take him with you
Which was a terrible idea
As soon as yiu reached the places with all type of vendors selling their good he jumped out of your arm and runned probably attracted by a few shiny things further down the road
However it's not bathing in mora that you found him, he was instead in hu tao's hands, held by the collar, looking like he was on the verge of tears and being scolded
You told hu tao he was your pet and apologized, she said it was no big deal but a lizard that big roaming the streets were terrifying everyone
And since in that form he is a little bit chonky she also suggested you made him go on a diet
With these remarks in head zhongli stayed calm in your arm, cuddled against your chest while people cooed from time to time about how adorable he is
The next morning he was back to normal but still seemed under the weather, so it was natural for you to ask him what was wrong
"I wasn't a lizard, I was a dragon... A majestic dragon, and I don't need that diet"
Laughing was rude but also a very hard thing to not do
He is even more upset now
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Miko :
It all started by jealousy
You just wanted to show miko the beautiful snow falling from the sky into the narukami island
And so you went on a walk
She followed you as you talked about a lot of thing, the disaster however started whenyou saw that cute fox plunging their head first into the snow
You knew miko was too proud to do that, even for your entertainment, so you observed from afar
But since your attention wasn't on her anymore your girlfriend also started to feel jealous
She tried talking, putting her cold hands in your clothes or proposing a lunch break but nothing worked
Finally she decided to turn into her fox form to get your attention
A little pink fox, not bigger than your head was now standing in front of you and pouting
For once miko put her pride aside to get to you
And she was adorable
You immediately forgot about the others foxes and picked her up to cuddle her to you
She didn't complained to finally having what she wanted and let you do your thing, a tiny smile on her tiny fox face
You got back home still with her in your arm and laid down in the couch
You put her on your stomach and when she asked you about it you told her she was the perfect heat patch
She decided to turn back human right there to teach you a lesson
And I hope for you you understood it
Tumblr media
Staring at the cloudy sky, the breeze brushed his locks getting some strands of his hair on his face. It was always like this, since when has he sat down in the balcony waiting for someone to arrive knowing to well that it was nearly impossible for it to happen.
Thinking about the past, he closed his eyes walking away from the balcony to disappear in thin air, when suddenly he heard the voice of a small one.
“We should hurry! Paimon really wants to know about this,” The companion of the traveler was hurrying to see the adeptus at the place he always stayed with a certain book they found at Liyue harbor.
The adeptus taken a back from her voice he crossed his arm lining in the balcony to wait and see whatever they wanted.
“Hi Xiao! We wanted your help with a subject,” The blonde said fixing her attire from running and following Paimon.
“Help for what?”
“Wanting to learn more about Liyue and their adeptus Paimon found this book! We asked people around about it and apparently it is a famous legend,” The little one opened the book to show the content to the adeptus that was standing in front of them “, Paimon really wants to know more of this legend!” She smiled nervously at the traveler and then Xiao hoping for him to accept.
He felt this was a waste of time, human’s books where of no interest to him neither was their legends but still, the adeptus took the book of Paimons hands planning on just reading the title not expecting interesting content from it. Reading the small summary the book gave, his eyes widened for the familiar content he once experienced.
“How can the future be advantageous to us, illusions of dreams too far away to reach even for the ones who love. The legend of a far dream between an adeptus and a mere mortal, how could they fall in love? Aren’t there too many differences? That’s for fate to decide,”
Paimon noticed the change of mood from the Yaksha, getting that he indeed knew this legend but didn’t say anything of it.
“This...,” Memories where still appearing knowing too well who was this book talking about, as he remembered everything his brows furrowed handing the book to Lumine   “, why do you want to know.” Trying to change his obvious expressions he just closed his eyes. Clearly, the traveler understood what he meant, he indeed knew of it “I thought it was a beautiful story and couldn’t stop myself from knowing more.”
Sighing he turned his back to them staring to his hands not really wanting to share something that meant too much for him, but of what use was hiding it when basically all humans knew about it.
“Fix yourself, it is a long story if you don’t want to waste your time, leave.” No one moved a finger
“Fine…”
 -
Way back, in the archon era, yakshas were summoned from Morax to take care of the monsters that roamed the lands. Eons of fighting, the remaining yaksha became an adeptus promising the god of contracts for his protection to the land Morax now ruled, Liyue Harbor.
With no remaining Yakshas, the new adeptus karma grew bigger than anything. Years of fighting himself, he was saved from his hell but the burden of guilt was still accumulated, it was hard for him to control it. He never let himself get near from humans, distancing from any kind of contact fearing for it to be contagious. No matter the effort he put to build himself walls to stay in, his heart betrayed his promise when a certain mortal caught his attention. The archon war hasn’t finish at all making the wrath and vengeful feelings of gods affects the land of teyvat, mostly to mortal’s life.
A day more for the adeptus to protect the land, his deep burden was affecting his physical state making him feel like he was tied up with metal ropes. a mortal has noticed this one being falling from a tree instantly running to him where he has fallen to not fearing the strong aura he gave. The adeptus noticed the mortal approaching him giving her a fixed stare, basically screaming to leave him deal with this alone. What he didn’t know is that purifying and helping local people was her duty, so of course she didn’t pay mind to his hesitance. It hurted to much for him to struggle and not accept help, thought he would never say it he very much appreciated the help the mortal was offering.
-
This mortal was known in many villages as she was from a family with an ability to purify the wrath that roamed the land of teyvat that affected all living things. but she wished she had more power with her, she wanted to protect the land that her family has taken care for years now. The land she grew up in was full of death but it was not unheard of, even though it was protected by Morax many gods approached to fight him affecting the lives around. She felt helpless, by only purifying or killing the affected creatures, she felt that it was not enough. Karma still affects humans, all living creatures does and of course she was no exception.
Now that the adeptus was in her hands, she was trying to help him to get rid of the strong aura roaming within his self. Waking up, the yaksha felt that he was laying on the ground quickly getting up and turned around only to see the mortal being to close to him. Trying to avoid affecting the human, he got away from her grasp by vanishing in thin air. Appearing at Jueyun Karst, he couldn’t help but think of how can a mere mortal be to near to him? Is she going to be okay? Questions was the only thing he was getting in his mind, not noticing how light he suddenly felt after the encounter with the mortal.
After watching the man disappear, she figured that maybe he was an adepti of Liyue the protectors of the land, she felt glad that she could be of help to these protective beings.
After that, the adepti was always near her village silently watching her work, how she took care of the villagers, her spiritual work in purifying, how she fought with creatures everything in order to protect the village… but how can she be so careless? Now… humans are very observant; their intuition is also strong but some choose to ignore and others to trust in. She was one to always trust in her intuition and something told her that she was being followed everywhere.
“I can feel your gaze,” she confronted her watcher and this made his heart nervous making him vanish once again without saying a word. But even after that, he still ‘took’ care of her, but why was he so interested in her? He was just protecting nothing more, right? Excuses was his way to go and she just grew more curious to this someone following her. A plan was made to finally see who it was, it was not hard to do so since she always felt this being.
-
Doing her usual tasks, she found herself at the plantation collecting herbs for the doctor of the village. It was pretty late for being outside on the woods so it was most likely for the yaksha to visit her on her duty. His gaze felt clearer than other days, this was the perfect opportunity to catch is attention in a way to not scare him away, so with only one arrow she took her bow and aimed for his sides, not wanting to hurt him. She shot her bow succeeding on what she wanted to achieve, he was perplexed by the arrow that it didn’t give him enough time to run away. “Could you show yourself?” Now he knew who shot the arrow.
He saw her at an attack position, afraid of being seen as trouble, the yaksha showed himself at her with his usual serious expression.
“There you are,” smiling she lowered her weapon “I have noticed you have been following me around… why?” her expression didn’t change, it was surprisingly intimidating since the situation wasn’t really a moment to be so relaxed. But he also never changed his expression, it was cold and his eyes looked dead for her.
“no reason, my work is to protect this land.”
“Is that so?” This didn’t answer her question “whatever reason may be, if you want to approach me do so… not everyone appreciates someone following them around,” Knowing well that he didn’t seem as one to answer doubts, she took the herbs and prepared to part away walking past him “please, come find me at the village, I believe you already know its location” Was the only words he heard from her after watching her walk away.
Since that day, they became closer to each other. She has asked him help for protecting the village worried that there has been a lot of monsters with stronger karma in the woods. No matter how many people shielded their home, it was not enough to end with the karma since she was the only one left of her family with the ability to purify them.
This was their karma, power in return of their life spawn.
They took their duties seriously and their personal life with care, this both sides made their whole person look different to one another. People found their closeness special; it was not often that you heard these types of relations to happen with these secretive beings. These too treasured each second, they hanged around together, spending countless of hours walking besides each other visiting the only places not affected by the war taking the paper of protecting these lands to maintain the state they founded them like. He loved her company, the laughs she released while playing around, how her hair got into her mouth complaining to the air to stop teasing her and how she treated him with such care he felt he would melt at any moment. The yaksha even showed her the land the adeptus lived in, the way she was thrilled by the sight was worth the scolding from moon caver. Both forgot their own issues blinding them for what was to come, they knew it all but preferred to not get them into their minds, sometimes he regrets he didn’t put a stop earlier to these moments.
Getting back from their usual guard, they walked into the entrance of the village looking slight exhausted from all the fighting. Kids got excited at watching them return, she greeted the kids more excited for seeing them healthy as ever, the yaksha just watched as the kids received her with warm hugs after being away for days. He never got tired of her tenderness towards their welcomes every time they got back; This all made his heart warm… he still wasn’t used to these feelings but she still made it appear each time her eyes met his. A small boy interrupted his thoughts by grabbing his hands “Sir, would you like to stay to celebrate?” He was taken back by the child request immediately looking at you to somehow read your thoughts, he found out you were also surprised by the request but your expression changed to amusement at the thought of celebrating the mid-autumn with him.
“That’s a great idea, why don’t you stay? We worked hard these days, we deserve a rest,” She said standing from her seat to stand in front of him “I will assure your wellbeing.” Her hand reached out to his hoping to come in contact as an answer for her request, he stared at her hand for long seconds as he didn’t expect to get asked that by a mortal and less for him actually considering it. She saw his hesitation and didn’t want to make him feel forced “Its fine if you don’t want to, please take care on your way-”
His hands reached hers and grabbed them not wanting her to walk away, something was telling him he had to stay “Wait, i…would like to” At his response, she squeezed his hand with excitement and ran towards the village. Entering the village, he saw how everything was bright and comforting, people were preparing to go near the lake and see the full moon with everyone. The village decoration made him think this was another world, how can a place be so joyful when there are gods still fighting, creatures still consuming living things to feed themselves…  but it was all her, everyone thanked her for the celebration, some people even had tears at expressing how grateful they were ‘It has been years since we could finally celebrate traditions’, ‘If it weren’t for all your effort I don’t know if we could have done it’ An elder said grabbing her hands, all he could think at this moment was of how much she has actually sacrificed to protect her people.
Everything was too perfect to be true, all you could hear was the laugh of kids playing around while the adults enjoyed the view with the food gathered together to share with each other and the delicious mooncakes everyone enjoyed eating. They both had stayed siting at the wooden bridge by the lake, watching the bright moon as if it could go at any minute. They have done pretty much anything they could do at the village, she wanted him to have an unforgettable night, to watch his smile as she had before. He did enjoy it all, after all his sins he has done, this was something he never thought he could experience but he did and all he wanted was to things to stay as they were.
“I told you that you wouldn’t regret it,” chuckling she pulled her self-closer to her legs to get warmer by the cold breeze, “I would never like for this to end,” she turned her head towards him “but… will it?” He had understood the meanings behind her words, turning his head to watch her, the usual smile she wore wasn’t anywhere to be seen but instead, he was greeted with a saddened face.
She seemed so different than other days, something was off and just now he had noticed. Her lips were tinted purple and she had more noticeable eyebags, he has seen this before. but before he knows it, she falls on his shoulder with an exhausted sigh, worriedly he slightly moved her shoulders to see her state, she had must likely passed out. He didn’t want to think of the worse that could happen so he just took her bridal style and went to send her to the adobe, before he arrived an elder had seen the adeptus taking their village chief somewhere. “Adeptus, did something happen?” The elder approached him and watched who was at her arms.
“She suddenly fell asleep.” He said brushing off what might had happened.
“Is that what you believe?” The elder said walking inside the house, “put her to bed” smiling she sat down at the chair near the bed taking in with her a bowl to mix in herbs. The yaksha didn’t know about health issues so he just submitted to her request. The village chief was sound asleep, she seemed peaceful and graceful even at her state but he couldn’t stop thinking of her symptoms, he recognized them too well and how he dares to think that’s was the case. The elder hand touched his hand as a way of reassurance, he was anxious for her state “I am responsible of treating her so no need to worry you,” responsible of treating her? Was this not the first time?
Since the mooncake celebration, he didn’t get near the village for days, he couldn’t bring himself to face her state. He was at Jueyun Karst where he used to normally be before meeting her, while walking past the extensive lake he was thinking of the day he had spent with her and how it all ended when suddenly he heard her familiar voice calling out for him. Without hesitating he appeared in front of her, she seemed better than how she was that day but still something felt off.
Running towards him, she gave him a warm hug. “I didn’t hear from you for days… I couldn’t help but call you out, I apologies” he reciprocated the hug showing on how much he had missed her.
“I’m glad you are better now…”
-
The karma and wrath that was roaming the land was something people tried to fight against, making living beings designated to struggles with their deep grudges. Bringing out guilts they had tried to hide, guilts that ate their sanity making them act with carelessness. This was a curse that she had slowly grew with, the more she fought against the wrath of deceased gods, her life spawn deteriorated with time. It wasn’t her fault, her family heritance that they left behind with her was the cause of her suffering, it was the path anyone had to follow if they had her family blood… there isn’t any place to run besides dying completing their duty.
Never once she planned to fall in love. When she was a child, her duty was constantly reminded off, she was told how she would have to live for the rest of her days and consequences if she chooses to fixate herself in personal matters and still, she fixated herself in an immortal protector of the land she grew up in, she knew too well what would happen then but that didn’t stop her from giving in her desire. The first guilt had started to grow. He would stay alone, he had told her his story and how karma had consumed him and she still couldn’t help but feel envious of his immortality, she even had told him about it making him chuckle at her comment but… how could she not? If she got to be immortal, then she could spend years at his side, she would get to experience old and unreachable dreams she once had as a small child. How could she be so selfish and only think for her own good when the adeptus even wished he could leave this world someday as mortals do… Her third guilt started to grow. But her forte was hiding herself, she couldn’t let herself be consumed by all her guilts… but it all started to hurt a lot more, her grudges began to be unbearable and she knew the cause was how far she was pushing herself. It was too late to slow down now, she knew realized it too late to start regretting at her choices. Her end was getting near, she can’t leave… not now.
This all was caused by the wrath that was slowly consuming her.
  The adeptus at this point knew what was about to happen, nothing got to be as it were before. They still saw each other as the promised they made said but they both weren’t as blind as they were before, trying to get back to the old days, it just made them grow apart even more. They missed each other, it was too much to bear and hard to overcome. She was slowly growing more ill; everything was affecting her negatively and the only way to cope was protecting her people before she leaves with regrets. The villagers knew what was happening and they tried to treat her but it got hard to do so.
The elder that once took care of her had called for the adeptus not really expecting him to show up, but he did. “Oh, I didn’t expect for you to actually come,” The elder sat in the wood table of her adobe pointing the adeptus to sit with her.
“Young adeptus… time passes really fast, doesn’t it? Every moment you take a breath in this world, you have to cherish it even with your loved ones. I think it’s never too late to try and spend time with those that are leaving us behind,” This brought a bitter feeling on his heart making him grip his pants to control himself at her words “I’m not only asking for her, but for your own good too. Today could be the last day you could bring back cherished memory and you would only grow regretful with time if you don’t act early, so please… take your last chances.” These words confirmed her fate, He couldn’t grasp the idea that she was must likely going to leave him behind and it pains him thinking of her last days suffering as he knows to well how karma gets the better of you.
-
She had just finished clearing out the monsters in the woods, when cleaning her weapon, she saw her final work. There was blood everywhere and her hands were full with the blood of the creatures, she felt pity at them, how these pure creators fell victims to the contagious wrath. It reminded her of a certain someone.
There was nothing than a serious expression on her face, but she still wasn’t prepared to go back her home so she stayed, roaming the woods thinking of her childhood desires when without a notice she found herself at a familiar place, a place that made her life take a turn. But what made it better is that the yaksha she had deeply adored was in front of her and all he had with him was serious face with slight sad and happiness in his eyes. He was still as charming as she remembers, memories of their moments together were the only thing she had in mind, in how they spent countless of hours together, in how she wished she had known him earlier and still, she was taken a back by his presence but glad she could see him for one more time.
“This is the place where we met each other, how nostalgic” She broke the silence and smiled warmly at him.
“Are you really leaving?” He can’t save his emotions anymore, his face got more saddened “why did you never tell me about your illness…”
“I knew what was going to happen if I continued…” she tried to maintain her smile but it seemed fake
“but I didn’t,” at hearing this words, she felt more guilty over her decisions “I did know you were leaving someday… but not so early, not so painful”
This all had break her down, his words sounded like an echo on her head that made her leave tears out of her eyes. Everything seemed clearer now, it was indeed all her fault… she felt if she basically lied to his face. “if… I had told you back then, would you still act the same?”
He only thought that if that were the case, it wouldn’t hurt as much as he is currently doing but he couldn’t throw everything to her. He should have known you both weren’t compatible for each other in this world, immortality was his first clue for stopping on his track but he kept on trying. Now she was breaking down Infront of his very eyes, he watched as her karma was consuming her even more…it all was too much for him. He quickly ran towards her to grasp her figure and feel her for at least one more time, if it wasn’t too selfish of him, he would like to stay like these forever more.
He felt how light she was, her face was pale and her skin was full with bruises. She seemed awful it was a sight he just wished to forget.
With a pained voice she gripped on the adeptus hand “please… just end it, what is there for me to fight for” Her voice cracked and tears continued to stream down her pale face. He was speechless at her requests; he couldn’t believe a person like her could ask for her own death.
“What are you saying… stop it,” This was all wounding him; he just can’t do this to her, he can’t bring himself to harm her body. “I don’t want to have a slow and agonizing death you know,” she laughed slightly trying to relax him.
He can’t hold his tears anymore, everything he had burden within him got out as cries, he doesn’t want to hear her pained voice anymore, not like this “Stop… this is no time for jokes, please stop asking me to do that, I can’t…” everything that came out of his mouth were shocked cries, he threw himself at the floor with her on his arms tears not stopping coming out of his eyes, she saw how much he hated this but she also did. Her hands reached to his face and her other hand a dagger she had on her and placed it on his free hand signaling to hill her with that.
“Please…” this was the only thing she could throw now as her voice was growing tired of talking.
He held the dagger with widened eyes not wanting to do it but her pleading face was the end of him, closing his eyes he positioned the dagger directly on her heart preparing to stab her there to make it as quick as possible, but he was too anxious. His fingers were trembling and his eyes were blurry because of his tears, she wanted him to do be lighten before doing it and before he knew it she got near his face and watched him with a grateful gaze before putting her lips on his wet ones, it was a long kiss but if felt too son to end for his liking, it was the first and last time he would be able to do so.
Lightening himself he saw her for a last time before she opened her mouth “I love you; I will be sure to watch over you now…” at finishing her sentence the dagger entered her chest taking her breath, she last gave him a final smile for him to remember.
He just hugged her limb body and mumbled to himself before he could stand up from his place and place her body in a safe place.
“I’m sorry…”
-
After her death, he stopped showing up at the village. Everyone was grieving at the loss of their head chief, as being the last one with her family heritance she had thought of how would the villagers would live if she were to leave this world, leaving behind small shrines with her purifier energy. The village did rituals for the family as a way to show their gratefulness, it was like this for centuries to come. Now the place where the story had taken place in its named as Qingce village changing its lands thanks to erosion taking away many treasures from the old place with it. The yaksha still went in visit of the village location to take care of the shrines she has left behind but because of the era they were built in, some of them were destroyed not leaving behind the energy they once had. The villagers never heard from the old protector they once had, the gaze she has explained to many of them cleared the doubt if he still roamed around the area. It is all left in the past, the legend went past copies to copies until they formed the book of Liyue legends, it was a sorrowful story and worse of what there is of the village they both took care together for years.
-
Paimon was now crying after the yaksha ended the story, she found it bitter how these two ended. The traveler was saddened and couldn’t help but think that maybe Xiao was the adeptus of the book.
Xiao turned around to be greeted with Paimon tears “There’s no need for tear, it may be even seen as disrespectful for the adepti”. He crossed his arms and looked at Paimon seriously.
“I-I’m sorry, Paimon just felt bad after hearing the ending” She wiped her tears with the traveler clothes “Hey! Use your own clothes!” The traveler pushed Paimon aside and cleaned her dress. Xiao looked over them with curiosity bringing memories of the village kids of centuries ago.
“If that everything you needed to know, there it is.”
“I actually have one more doubt” Lumine reached over Paimon to take a bracelet she had on “As we said, we were so curious of the book that we went to the village only to find well… a ruin connected with the legend” she rubbed her neck on how uninterested xiao seemed over her comment as he already knew this “But, we did find this at the ruins and I think it matches the girl of the book.”
After hearing that, Xiao curiously got near the traveler to see a bracelet “this…” The traveler figured that he indeed knew what the bracelet was so she handed it to him. Xiao felt an energy flow on him the moment he touched the bracelet, the energy was familiar. He then remembered the time where (y/n) had helped him and how he felt after their encounter.
“This bracelet contains an ancient energy that purified creatures with karma caused by the deceased gods,” he explained while still holding the bracelet analyzing it “The people that had these powers normally had an amulet that was given to them by the former head of a village, The amulet had to be something they found comfort in to be able to transmit their energy, almost like passing family blessings over an object.”
Xiao still had the amulet at hand not wanting to leave the familiar feeling the bracelet gave to him. “That’s good to know, you can keep it!” The traveler now understood he was the adeptus of the book so decided to make him keep this bracelet. The yaksha was grateful for her gift, he never thought Lumine could help him find something dear to him.
“Thanks, traveler I… will cherish this gift.”
“I’m relieved you liked it,” Lumine smile at him and was about to live when then she stopped on her track, Xiao saw her stopping so he waited for her word.
“By the way, I’m sure you will be able to meet her again in not too long” He was surprised at her words because he never said it was him all along
“Are you wishing for my death?” He said seriously but it was his poor attempt of a joke.
“Ah! No, what I meant is that if you open your eye long enough, what you can find may be surprising.” Lumine was feeling nervous, her attempt of comfort meant something else for the adeptus, she thought.
Xiao truly appreciated her words, it made him think if there was actually a way to watch her again to at least not forget her face. He gave Lumine a smile and thanked her for the time they had and for the comforting words, this surprised the traveler since he never shows this side of him but was happy she could at least be of help.
Xiao was left alone at the balcony with only his thoughts and the caressing breeze, the bracelet hanged on his hands lightening his worries.
“To ever experience your energy like this again… Dreams may not be as unapproachable as they sound”.
personally I think the traveler and sibling are just,,, how shall we say it,,, they get attached easily? i'm not that good with english but like i think while they started the liyue main story looking for morax then proving their innocence, as they got pulled into the mystery behind his death and the threat to liyue they chose to fight childe and the god because they wanted to help save liyue too, not just because to find their sibling.
it's not enough to make them stay; nothing as important as their missing sibling, but i think a part of them got attached to liyue and the people who love it too, if that makes sense?? it also lines up with that their sibling got transported to khaenriah and is now fighting for the people-turned-into-abyss-order. sorry if this is confusing 😅
That's fine, but here is the key: This is all based on just your personal interpretation of the Traveler, which is not actually supported by anything stated in the game itself.
There is no basis for what you are saying within the text of the game.
When the matter of the false murder charges ends, there is no explanation why the Traveler wants Morax's corpse. At least, no explanation that holds water. This the only dialogue:
Childe: The Geo Archon's spirit has risen, so why would the Qixing hide his vessel!? Truly suspicious.
Traveler: This makes things difficult for me too.
Traveler: I agree, something is definitely not right.
Paimon: Oh! Right! He's the whole reason we came here!
Paimon: If the Liyue Qixing has locked up Exuvia and won't let anyone near...
Paimon: Then (Traveler's) quest to find The Seven is already over!
Then, while meeting Zhongli, Childe also says this:
Childe: The Tianquan, Ningguang, has forbidden anyone from accessing Rex Lapis' vessel... Which of course you would need to access if you are to achieve your goal of meeting all of The Seven.
Zhongli: Precisely. Only by participating in the Rite of Parting will you be able to see the form of Rex Lapis again.
Traveler: Looks like there's no other choice.
The ONLY explanation we are given for why we’re doing this is that getting to Morax’s corpse will somehow fulfill our goal of meeting all the Seven. But our reason for seeking them out is that we think one of them might be the Unknown God. How is seeing the body we already know just looks like a dragon going to help with that? How is seeing a dead body “meeting” one of the Seven in the first place?
I would also question the interpretation of the Traveler as being so easily invested in things that they decide to unravel Liyue’s murder mystery after being there for maybe a day beforehand and then having to immediately go on the run from murder charges.
Because we now know, thanks to Inazuma, that knowing Baal murders innocent people (via Kazuma’s story about his friend) is not enough to convince the Traveler to help Ayaka. And this is after we’ve been in Inazuma for longer than Liyue and met multiple people there. Thoma alone should be a bigger emotional investment than all of Liyue that we would have seen by the end of the murder accusations.
You can try to explain that there are nuances that make the two situations different, but it becomes a very convoluted kind of characterization.
I also never questioned why the Traveler fights Childe at the Golden House, but rather why Zhongli would send the Traveler there (by verbally guiding them toward the idea that Childe has gone there):
Zhongli: Consider your next course of action carefully, (Traveler). If you're trying to prevent an explosion, it may be wisest to look for the fuse first.
Paimon: Phew... Having connections with the Fatui seems to be quite the double-edged sword.
Paimon: So what did Zhongli mean by looking for the "fuse"?
Traveler: Childe.
Aka “go look for Childe and fight him.” Except Zhongli shouldn’t want this to actually happen.
Consider it from Zhongli’s perspective. He knows that Childe has gone to the Golden House to try and get the gnosis from the Exuvia. He knows the gnosis isn’t there. He is counting on Childe discovering this and falling back on his big backup plan to cause enough chaos to theoretically draw out Rex Lapis. This is the point of Zhongli’s entire scheme.
What does the Traveler’s presence at the Golden House add? Childe would act in exactly the same way even if we weren’t there. He’d still try to pull out the gnosis, realize it’s not there, and come to the conclusion that Rex Lapis is alive. Literally none of this would change. The Traveler plays no part in any of this, and they aren’t even really needed to tell the Qixing and the adepti afterwards. The Jade Chamber was already moving toward the massive, unnatural storm over the harbor anyway.
Like, what was Zhongli trying to achieve by goading the Traveler into going to face Childe? What was the benefit of it?
And for that matter, since Zhongli is supposed to be testing Liyue, why is he so casually dragging in an outside element? If the Traveler “defeats Osial,” as we now so often brag, then is Liyue in any way proven capable of defending itself without him? Wasn’t Liyue just saved by another god (us) that happened to be passing through?
The whole thing is extremely nonsensical.
The life of You
[AO3]
Tumblr media
Words: 3619
You and the traveler accompanied by his floating friend were nearly close to your final destination. Passing through the entire Liyue, taking a short stop to relax a bit here and now. Enjoying the view at the marvelous land. It never stops to amaze you how beautiful the sunsets are when you can observe how the sun is disappearing behind the mountains.
Liking more Monds as it was a more free and easy going country. The green everywhere was easy on your eyes and overall didn't remind you all that stress tied to business. However you have to admit some parts of Liyue are way too pretty. Perhaps one day you could visit those pretty spots with your friends.
Having a nice walk and observing the never stop to amaze you lands. Some special kinds of flowers and herbs grow only here. Animals you can't see in the anemo Archon domain. Simply put, this is an experience one has to feel and see at least once in their life.
You made sure not to wander too far away from the main road. Being pressed by time and distance was one thing. Being lost in the middle of somewhere was another. You sure knew your way in Liyue but mostly around habited areas. Not really have spare time to explore the land in detail.
Sometimes you had a short trip around here and there, in presence of other people. Those trips were mostly to bring you and your employees closer and take a break from all of that exhaustion.
It's really sad how people in Liyue are different from people in Mondstadt. They are always in a rush, stressed out and business is always on their minds. However they are also willing to help with anything related to their field of expertise.
Can't choose between this and that? Or not sure if this would be a good deal? Well you can be sure they will shower you with advices. However be aware of smooth talkers. They know a lot and know how to make one agree and probably buy more than they were willing at the start.
After all it is all just a part of the never ending flow of contracts. Tied to mora exchange and customer's satisfaction. You were sometimes thinking if Liyue being mostly yellow has something to do with currency. This color is so dominant here, everywhere. One would think leaves and grass is dying but it was healthy just like everywhere else.
Mora is yellow, Liyue is land of contracts. Money is flowing in and out. This surely can't be coincidence, Morax must have been really smart back then.
You guys were close to Harbor's gates, a few more steps and you could see the entire city. One side enveloping it with azure blue sea, ships being docked in harbor. Supplies being carried out or in, depends on the ship's purpose and destination. Also there were smaller boats as well. Those were personal ones, more than for transport they were for amusement of their owners.
You often heard about wedding proposals being made at those cute boats. Also there were people who used those boats for business, they transported people between north and south Liyue. It was sort of a trip one could say.
Hearing amazed 'wow' from your companions, turning to them with a smile on your lips.
"Just wait for the night. Then it gets super pretty but also really hectic. As that's the time where citizens are really free from their responsibilities and can enjoy free time."
"Paimon can't wait to see all those stalls with delicious food!"
You chuckled at her remarks. Not needing to spend too much time with them to know the floating girl is easily manipulated when it comes to food. Just a mention of it and she is all yours. When you said about local specialities her eyes were beaming with excitement.
By the look at Aether's expression, that was just a normal thing he got used to. As he had to get used to Paimon's big mouth. On your way here, to be more precise when you passed the middle part of Liyue. You came across some beggars. Asking for spare coins. You are still unsure about being glad for what Paimon said or not.
If it weren't for her you two might have got robbed. It turned out to be a bunch of treasure hoarders, not poor beggars barely living. When they found out both of you are carrying weapons and can channel elemental energy. They rather backed out of the trouble.
"Well then, let's head down. Shall we?"
And so all of you slowly descended down, crossed the city's gate. Passing through streets and making sure the two are following you. Getting lost here is quite easy.
As you arrived with one day spare, you could have just breathe out and rest for today. The rite will be held tomorrow. The question is what now? Turning to your companions.
"I'm hungry, fancy to get some food?"
You didn't have to ask twice. Especially when it came to Paimon who was just excited flying around. Checking on stalls and observing various things. The street you were in was mostly for small merchants, selling their handmade goods. Be it art, jewelry, porcelain or those cute paperweight things. Often having sea and boats inside of them.
Moving to the next street which was purely dedicated to kid's enjoyment. Various toys shops and things which sometimes were too inviting even for yourself. You can just silently applaud those toys makers. If an adult like you has a hard time then what about the kids?
Quickly making your way to the small square which was dividing enjoyment shops from more practical ones. Such as herbalists, perfumes, food shops and also some kid's forbidden places. Starting with bars and ending with places you rather not want to think of ever entering. Otherwise you'd die in shame.
Leading the way to your favorite shop. Knowing your friends probably won't know how to use chopsticks, it will be better to grab some finger food. Sweet dumplings, regular dumplings filled with various things, fried meat. Heck they even sell fries here which you thought it would be only in Mondstadt.
Once you have all of your food, you have moved to a quieter place. A park with a lot of ponds, lotuses in, fish literally swimming under your feet as you were crossing via the small bridge. Sitting in the least busy place. It was just afternoon and there were already enough people to make you feel uncomfortable. Luckily you are used to crowds now.
With stuffed bellies you guys were barely able to move so you decided to sit around for a bit more. You explain them basics about the city. Like where to go if they'd need this or that. How to avoid being scammed. Liyue might be the land of contracts, one still has to negotiate about prices. People will always try to nudge prices in their profit.
"Paimon wonders. We have been around every major street and miss y/n told us about important places but..."
She scratched her head.
"Where's your business?" Tilting her head to the side while making 'hmm' noise. Which immediately Aether joined in.
You didn't plan to show them the building where your now middle sized company was residing in. For some reason you felt uneasy about showing your friends. You still didn't like the fact of inheriting it but at least it's in better shape than before.
As the previous owner was barely able to sign contracts and fulfill her duties. It was slowly fading, many employees had left the company. Also there was a debt written in its name.
You didn't know why exactly you just didn't turn away and leave. It was none of your business. It was her mess. But somehow you decided to stay and help. It was awkward, especially meeting the dying woman. But you hold back your grudge and remarks.
You knew it won't be an easy task especially after seeing what has happened in a very short period of time. First of all you needed to gain some trust from the remaining employees. To them you were nobody. Well. It wasn't far away from reality.
You were just a teenager who wanted to train and become a guardian of the city. Perhaps later on find somebody to get laid with and have a happy family. More happier than you had. But that all was taken away or so you thought.
However as the time passed you realized something. One can still be a guardian without having the title. When the debt collector came everyone was scared and shaken. There was no doubt about it might end up pretty bad for everyone present including you. But you played it smart, managing to convince the debt collector about giving you a bit more time.
It was the last chance you will get, he said before leaving. You were shaking and felt like vomiting. But at the same time proud of your smooth talk to get your through it. One thing you could thank to a certain bluenette.
Since that day you got more trust from employees. It no longer being just the assistant who stood by you, willing to help. With a young mind and great ideas you managed to slowly but surely get the company back to functioning. Guided by your assistant who happens to have enough experience to actually lead the company. But for whatever reason she was not named as the next successor.
You never felt any hateful feelings from her or desire to take the post from you. If anything she is keeping everything under control and is really modest. Admitting just half for her effort no matter what you said.
It took over three years to fully recover for the company and be able to compete with others. Or at least partially. No longer being in debt and haunted by the Fatui agents. However to prove the company's worth you had to make a bigger showcase. Everyone was able to attend and observe. Enjoy the food and drinks. The event cost quite a bit but in the long run it turned out to be very worth it.
Eventually getting more offers for material, more interest from not only people from Liyue but also from Inazuma. However that didn't last long as it one day became completely locked away from the world. You really liked the direction where everything was going, nearly forgetting about your life in Mondstadt.
Warming up to people, growing fond of them. It was no surprise to see you spend time after work with some of your employees. Going to a tea house or dinner. Despite you being overly busy you still found some free time to hone your swordsmanship. You still wanted to be able to protect the weak.
One night after a very long and tiresome week you found yourself staring at the clear night sky. You just finished one of your training. The sky was so nice, the stars being so bright. You wondered if they are looking at the sky right now. If you do see the same thing.
You were one of those people who were forced to grow up and become an adult quickly. Acting like a grown up despite being still pretty young and inexperienced. If it weren't for Mrs. Yue you'd be doomed. Also many others who often offered help. You liked those people but never admitted it aloud.
When one day supplies didn't arrive in time, nor any message about delay. You got worried about what could have happened. The road which you chose was relatively safe and there were loaned guards for the cart. Something inside of you was telling you to take a look at it.
Taking your trustworthy sword, leaving a message for Yue who happened not being present at that moment. So when she arrives at the office she would know. There was also stated if you don't return until noon, she will have to alert Millelith.
Just as if you knew. It didn't take long until you found a damaged cart and unconscious guards. However your people were missing, supplies being destroyed. Looking around and noticing tracks.
The further you follow the more you know you are being lured into a trap. When you entered a place covered by an obvious illusion, you knew there's something really wrong and you just couldn't leave it be. Finding your way around, coming across cocoons. Hearing silent cries coming out of them.
Just when you tore through one of them and saw one of your employees. You realized what made those cocoons. Freeing them out. They were exhausted and pale. However fear allowed them to push forward and retreat from that place. But you did not.
You knew the thing might attack again. Somebody else who won't be that lucky as your people. Giving them a reassuring smile, saying that you will be alright and they should have enough time to get back to cart. With some luck Millelith will be there already, taking care of them.
Turning back and running deeper into the weird hive. Just then you realized how much naive and stupid you were. Risking your life just like this. Could it be bravery? Or just being a complete fool? Probably the latter. Your sword skills were impressive however facing the beast proved you were not strong enough.
You could feel how your life energy was leaving your body during the encounter. You will die here. But you didn't care. You were devoted and wanted to protect. You got poisoned in the middle of the fight. As the poison was slowly spreading across your system. Fingers becoming numb.
You were half accepting the truth of never making it back. To never see any of the people who you consider close to you. To never see your employees' faces. Or never held a party to celebrate somebody's birthday. Or never be able to chase your dreams.
Just when you thought 'that's it I die here' you felt intense energy surging through your body. You could feel how it was encouraging and empowering you enough to rise up, avoid the fatal hit. It was like just all the fatigue has left your body. The poison was no longer effective.
Swinging your sword, a wave of elemental energy being released. It cut through the beast's thick shell. It surprised you to see what happened but not letting it take over. You thought of channeling more of this weird yet powerful energy. It felt cold but at the same time warm. It might be because your body is getting confused over all of this elemental power, flowing through you.
As you rushed forward with cry, your blade met with the beast's arm. Cutting it off like it was a butter, following to its face. You cut through the entire thing, leaving a crystal like pattern behind. Was it ice? The beast has fallen with a loud and dull noise.
Looking around, the place was covered in icy fragments. Surely the place didn't look like this before. Glancing down at your hand as you felt something appeared in it. A turquoise orb with a snowflake symbol, socketed into a silver frame with a pair of small wings on bottom at each side.
You knew what it was. Taking a hold on it and looking up. You never thought of ever receiving your own vision. Never feeling worthy to have one. Yet the cryo Archon thought otherwise.
You did not remember how you got out of that place or what followed. Your body was exhausted and all you know is you will live to tell the tale. Whatever happened you just pushed it away, thinking it was the remaining strength you had, carrying you to safety.
Finger snapping brought you back to reality. Making you realize you had spaced out. Giving apologetic smiles to your already worried companions.
"Gosh. We thought you got possessed by something! We kept calling for you but you didn't respond!"
Poor boy. His voice was worried and by the expression Paimon was making she was not feeling any better.
"Ah yes. I uh... Something crossed my mind, sorry about that, haha!"
Your eyes dropped down as you nervously fiddled with your fingers. They really want to see your workplace. Letting out a sigh. This had to come eventually. It's not like being ashamed or something, just feeling nervous.
"Alright then. I'll show you, with some luck we might catch up with my assistant so I could introduce you.~"
meeting with yue, talking about the stormterror, skip, rite and inspection, later the day meet traveler talking with tart and be not so nice cuz he fatui have some not really warm talk between you two, offering aether new clothes, then leaving after yue cuz you were going to tea house lol
The building was quite far away from the center. Hidden between two bigger ones, making it look smaller than it actually was. The receptionist was already gone. However people from security who were counting their last minutes for today greeted you with a bow. You motioned to them and kept walking with your friends right behind you.
"So this is the main hall where clothings get sewed together, the opposite doors are where all the fabric cutting happens. And the last door at the end of the corridor is the warehouse. We have another one on the upper floor, but that's for cleaning items only."
Leading them around, letting them inside to check stuff from close distance. You even met somebody who was going home late, wishing them a nice evening.
As the building seemed to be quite small from outside, there were many rooms inside. And even more things stuffed in.
"What's this room for?"
The blonde asked while he stood in front of the nameless door. Whilst you just chuckled.
"Some call it a relaxing room, others a sleepy room. It's just to assure nobody gets overly overworked. I know some people stay here until evening despite their work hours ends in mid afternoon."
Both Aether and Paimon's lips are curling into an 'o'. Probably they did not expect to come across such a room like this. They followed you to your office. Well the office you shared with your assistant.
When you opened the door you found the lady sitting behind the table. She looked up and her eyes sparkled with joy. Getting up and coming closer to embrace you as always.
"Welcome back Lady y/n! I did not expect you to come this week!"
You returned the embrace as it was something you always do with her. She was like a close friend to you despite the age difference between the two of you. She might have two kids around age of 10 but she is still looking so young and pretty. Also she loves to spoil you like you are one of hers.
"Mrs. Yue this is Aether and his friend Paimon I told you about during my last visit. Aether, Paimon this is Mrs. Yuefeng, my assistant and probably the main pillar of this company."
It was hilarious to observe how the two of them didn't know the greeting here. Trying to mimic what Yue did.
"Welcome at Qingshan Clothing! You are indeed very cute as Lady y/n said, hmm maybe too much."
Your eyes glancing between her and Aether, mouth partially opened to say something. Coughing away the awkwardness.
"Please don't mind it. Everyone's cute in her eyes. At least everyone who is younger, which is practically all of us."
"Mmmh! Indeed! You are cute kiddies. I can't believe you are the ones who saved Mondstadt from the Stormterror. You look so innocent but you know what they say. Don't judge a book by its cover."
Yue giggled at her own remark. She was always like this, it was hard to believe such a nice lady like herself can deal with rough business so flawlessly. You glanced over at the table, noticing the mountain of paperwork.
"Well it's getting late. How about you go home my friend? I told you several times not to stay overtime."
It felt weird to actually lecture a woman who could be acting as your mother but you had no choice. She smiled at you with a tired face.
"I hate to break it to you but this is urgent and has to be done by tomorrow morning. We were stressing about finishing the order in ti-"
"And that's exactly why I order you now to pack your stuff and go home. Relax. Enjoy kiddies and your husband. I'll finish it."
You gave up on having the entire evening free but oh boy you hated people working overtime. Why people can't just chill out. Always in stress and rush.
"But Lady..." She didn't finish her sentence. Your expression was more than serious.
"Very well. Thank you, I'll treat you tomorrow for some tea. Oh! The rite! We could go there together and after it ends we will crash at our usual spot!"
Well not like you had something against it. You came here mainly because of the rite. Everything else was just convenient enough, happening along the way. Entrusting Aether with Paimon to Yue's care. As she could take them to an inn. Observing how they disappeared behind a corner. 'I hate this work so much... I wonder if Diluc also has to deal with stuff like this or has people for it.’
   I plan to do a bigger headcanon post about Zhongli’s relationship with others in the future, but one of the most important ones I had to mention is Xiao. Zhongli and Xiao’s relationship is purely familial, which Zhongli being his father figure and viewing Xiao like his own adoptive son. While he doesn’t express himself the best emotionally, he does dote on him more than he does with other adepti, but also hopes Xiao can grow more independent and be closer with humans. Even after giving up his status as Morax, he still worries about him and even prepares special medicine for him that he wants the Traveler to give to him when they visit the inn.
