The sound of cries had died down in the room that was now filled with tired breaths and congratulations.

"This was the last time I'm ever doing this.." Sherry's breathy words got a soft laugh out of Daryl, who could sense the lie but kept it quiet.

His gaze turned from the resting surrogate mother to the newborn's momma.

Tabby sat next to her on the other half of the large bed the three of them shared with the little bundle of fur in her arms, tears rolling down her cheeks and a smile wider than the others had ever seen on her. Michonne walked into the room as she handed her a bottle of milk for the pup. It was like second nature how Tabby comfortably placed her pup in her arms and helped her feed.

"She's head over heels already." Sherry commented on the view before her and Daryl could only agree with a lovestruck look in his eyes. "Yea, she's an amazing momma."

Daryl leaned in to give a kiss to Sherry's forehead and got up to give the new mom some much deserved love.

The last few hours they had both spent at Sherry's side, helping her through labor but now that she was all good Daryl moved over to his other lover to pepper her with kisses and bond with his newborn daughter. His hand went to the pup’s, who happily grabbed onto his finger as he coo’ed at her. Carol had come to their side as well, smiling just as wide as her best friend. “Auntie Tabby, finally a mommy today.” She gave her a soft pat on the shoulder as she offered her services for the upcoming times, helping with the pup and and stuff around the house until at least Sherry was back on her feet again.

Sherry watched the new parents from her spot in the bed and felt the love radiate from them, immediately ridding her of any discomfort having the pup just now.

After the pup was fed Daryl held both her and her momma close to him as he spoke sweet nothings at them.

He did have to admit, his curiosity was getting the best of him now..

"Ya ready ta share her name with us?"

Today is an important day. Because today is @celtic-crossbow’s day, and she (and her writing) deserves all the love and adoration today and any other day too but especially today!

Rap Legend @granddaddy_iu Dies At 54 Rapper, producer and media host Grand Daddy I.U. has died suddenly The 54-year-old Hip-Hop legend passed away, for unknown reasons at the time this report was published. Several sources confirmed the passing with AllHipHop and the news spread quickly. DJ Chuck Chillout, who was a friend of the rapper, helped break the news to the masses on his Facebook account. They were hanging out recently in late November. Grand Daddy I.U. was an MC that emerged in the late 80s to become one of the leading artist on iconic label Cold Chillin’ Records. The late Biz Markie played an instrumental role in his signing after he received Grand Daddy I.U.’s demo tape from his peer’s brother. I.U.’s debut album, Smooth Assassin, produced a pair of hit records. “Something New” his No. 11 on the charts and “Sugar Free” peaked at No. 9. In 2008, Nore put I.U. in his Top 5 Dead or Alive. He said, “He’s always been one of the top emcees that I’’ve loved from that late 80’s / early 90’s period. If you look at Jay-Z’s Reasonable Doubt cover it sort of resembles that I.U.’s album cover (Smooth Assassin) where he had the same outfit on. Grand Daddy I.U. was one of the most lyrical, wordplay-having emcees. Okay can I ask what the issues are, do you think it’s not realistic to domestic violence ?

It's more in terms of her choices. Like, leaving a cycle of abuse is difficult, of course, it's not as simple as just picking up and leaving, of course, but I don't think the show portrays the nuances of that difficulty well. I'm left asking questions that I don't want to be asking.

He took the battery out of her car, OK, why can't she get an Uber or call a taxi? Why can't she call Lil Murda? Did he take her phone and I missed it? If so, why can't she go to a neighbour? Why can't she walk until she sees a gas station or a supermarket or anyone she can ask for help? Because clearly she was going to go somewhere, so she had a semblance of a plan and she immediately abandons it, considering how long she's been living with him, considering that he knows exactly when her period is, he turns on her gps so he knows where she is at all times, he regulates her SO heavily, she would know it wouldn't be as easy as getting in a car and leaving.

She comes home and she finds out that her children are being abused and then confronts him about it and tells him explicitly that they're going to leave after he's yelling at her about how he's going to beat her kids because he was beaten at their age and he's not letting up about that so I was like, this is a confusing choice, like from a writing perspective, this is a time when Keyshawn plays it cool, tries to sneak out when he's sleeping and gets caught by him if you don't want her to succeed in leaving just yet.

Like, I just don't like the choices they have her make or not make because she could make other choices and the same sense of inescapability and seeming impossibility can come across.
