Acupuncture for my tight hips, lower back, and Piriformis syndrome.(A disorder in which the piriformis muscle in the buttocks irritates the sciatic nerve.) Acupuncture is a system of integrative medicine that involves pricking the skin or tissues with needles, used to alleviate pain and to treat various physical, mental, and emotional conditions. My hope is that we can loosen everything up and allow me to gain core strength and have reduced inflammation in my body. Wholeness Sessions as part of Strawberry Fields Junior School , Food Awareness Curriculum. Every child had a different favourite food, and even though they were sensitive to each other's choices, and many times waiting to get a response from their friends, when it came to their own taste buds, they all were very different in their likes and dislikes . Pumpkin and Carrot noodles were tasty for some but not for others, Bottle Gourd Stars were yummy for some and ignored by rest, Almonds were loved by some whilst too hard to chew for others , coconut was another food that not many had tried before, and were pleasantly surprised at its sweet taste! However, one thing that stood out, when they saw and ate the food , they found it easier to experiment with new flavours, however once blindfolded , they didn't enjoy new tastes at all. Aim was to build an awareness around how we feel after eating different types of food, energetic or lazy and tired ! Mostly everyone agreed that after pizza's they feel tired and sleepy. We also covered the various ways we can get tired and what helps us become active and alert again.
