I love how @photomatt and the Tumblr staff are focused on banning trans women for showing off non-sexual transition pics while there are literal hundreds of photos of naked women mistagged with fandoms in my "your tags" tab with links that I can only assume lead to virus-ridden websites.
Yes, I know I'm on strike for one thing rn, but tumblr staff needs to get their crap together. They have banned a bunch of trans women on invalid claims while trans people get harassed and stalked and their reports go unnoticed or ignored.
|| I have been on a xianxia trip again, and I wanted to draw aph china as a beautiful ancient immortal. (he already is one)
This is my own design, not historical at all. Wanted to try my hand at fantasy as a break from the usual. ||
non-autistic people who misuse “special interest” to describe something they Really Like are catching my foot up their nuts!!! idc if u have nuts or not u will by the time i’m done with you!! learn what it actually means!!!!
My least favorite part of academia is "putting two works in conversation with each other." Because the concept is so cool, but then the works are almost always both "from the canon" (a flawed concept itself), both European, and both already discussed together a million times already. Why must we be predictable. Why can't we put The Great Gatsby in conversation with Madoka Magica.
@odditiesnoctobermidnightroad sent me the Mouse The Witching Cat medallion they made, which is now the star of my car key ring, AND some fantastic little freebies in the envelope, AND some delightful doodles!! You should check out their stuff and get some of their merch and support their work, its truly one of a kiiind! 🎃🎃
Hey this is Kiba advice!!! If you are already an anxious person especially, please don't try to take way more THC then you're used to to try and calm down better!! And I will share my experience I am currently still experiencing as a warning!
Had mild anxiety, took a gummy to help calm down, took too much. Started out just mellow and laughing at everything, hours later I'm I'm bed screaming "where am I? How'd I get here? Am I still alive??" and the like to my husband. I felt like I was watching myself, like out of body experience. 5 minutes felt like 30 hours. Throat got closed up and I became super queasy from the adrenaline. Kept screaming that I thought I was dying. Everything I said felt like I said it an hour ago.
2 hours later, im finally coming down. My stomach still really hurts and I'm stillllll not quite stable in the mind. Thank you to my husband who held my hand and told me I was real and not dying the whole time.
Please be careful friends. Try to find better ways of handling your anxiety and know your limits. Don't be like Kiba!
I've seen a lot of stuff going down on tumblr and I just wanted to let you all know that all aromantic, asexual, and aroace people are valid members of the LBGTQIA+ community. It doesn't matter if they are cishet or not.
|| 1850's jumpscare!
Victorian era Lord and Lady England absolutely slaying it on the dancefloor.
I had a need to switch up a little, and this has made me happy. I missed Victorian fashion. My preferred look is the early bustle, but this swishy skirt won in the end. ||
My bad, he didn’t know the camera was there whoops.
He is doing great, he’s even gaining the confidence to run. He did have an incident where he scratched at his stitches and started bleeding. I didn’t post anything because of the blood even though it wasn’t gory. He’s totally okay though thankfully and he’s becoming very playful and has started cuddling us more. He can even get to pretty high places but how he gets down, remains a mystery.
american suburbia is a lie and so is american urbanism now that we live in a capitalist post-dystopia
because walkability is probably never going to be achieved in our lifetimes. Does anyone else ever just sit and think about this? I grew up as a kid in the suburbs and now live as an adult in the city. Yes, I know there's privilege within both of these living situations, but I also think that American "Exceptionalism" is not anything of the sort and should be criticized when most suburbs have no good public transport or even things to do. How is a person supposed to be enriched in a social way, to have fun with their friends, to build community?
Just imagine what a walkable community could look like. Within five to ten minutes of you, you have the essentials for living and some enjoyable things too. A grocery store. A cafe A daycare. A school. A gas station. A park with a playground. A library. Then imagine that within twenty minutes, you have your workplace, you have a place to go shopping, a good restaurant, a town hall, a community college, a couple of bars. Within half an hour's travel time by public transport, there are things that are less essential for survival, but still important for recreation and cultural enrichment: there's a museum, a strip club, a spot to go hiking, a fancy restaurant, a sports facility, a live theatre venue. If you travel out an hour or so away there are other towns to visit, cities nearby that you can venture into on the weekends, and the highway is very short.
These things are much more achievable in the city, but are so corporate that it can't even foster community. Your local cafe is a Starbucks, your local restaurant is a Chili's, and even the arts centers are privatized. We don't live in communities, we live in Walmart parking lots. We live in Disney World. America is not a real country.
