OH! As we were on topic of commissions, I have a lil question to ask!

How would you feel if anyone commissioned someone else to draw your Welcome Home oc with theirs? Are there any rules you’d like to imply? Do they have to show you what was commissioned? Should they show you any and every message that was used during commission process?

Gah! I have so many more questions but these are the main ones! My friend (you might know them 🤭) wants to commission someone and they wanted to use your oc but they though it would be better to ask before proceeding if you’d like for them to not use your oc!

I would like to say that I would prefer it not be, like, ship art unless you're someone that I know who I have an established ship with! 100% okay with silly little interactions tho!

I’m considering whether or not to post guro to my main for vent reasons, but I’m worried about it being labeled as explicit by tumblr’s standards

Any workarounds for this that you’ve been able to find?

This is a side account I've been using for years to share gore/guro drawings. As long as you tag stuff properly it should be ok (for your followers).

As for being labeled as explicit, if you share guro, then it is explicit content (unless it's just some blood and bruises, my personal opinion), so I'm not sure how to avoid that to be honest.

The bathroom is cramped, a space akin to a closet set in the furthest corner of a cheap motel room that has seen better days. The teenager behind the counter had slowly blinked red rimmed eyes as they stood there, bodies pressed together and furtive glances thrown at the rain lashed windows of the door, handed them a key and mumbled directions to a cubbyhole that turned out to be nothing but stained carpet and paint chipped walls. 

Now, they stand under garish lighting that paints them with a sickly yellowish hue, wedged somehow between the sink and door and Lucas meets the stare of Aurora’s reflection in the mirror. I’m sorry, he wants to say... But what’s done is done and they both know that apologies do nothing to erase sins or the price owed for them, so instead he simply offers a half-hearted attempt at his best grin, a brief twitch in the corner of his mouth as fingers run through long locks like they have so many times before. One blonde strand is caught between thumb and forefinger, a tad curled and still slightly damp, and Lucas isn’t sure whether the gruff words that fall between them are for his sake or hers. 

“It won’t be forever.” A lie. Aurora knows it as much as he, but still it falls from his lips (like so many others) with an ease that should no doubt alarm him. The palm of his other hand rests atop her shoulder, squeezing with a gentle pressure meant to reassure them both. “In a couple of hours, we’ll be gone. We can find somewhere, figure something out. Aurora - “

i thought my laptop was on its last leg because it was running at six billion degrees and using 100% disk space* at all times and then i turned off shadows and some other windows effects and it was immediately cured. i just did the same to my roommate's computer and its performance issues were also immediately cured. okay. i guess.

so i guess if you have creaky freezy windows 10/11 try searching "advanced system settings", go to performance settings, and uncheck "show shadows under windows" and anything else you don't want. hope that helps someone else.

When I was a kid my family pretended to get raptured so I would think I was left behind on earth while they all went to heaven.

I was like 8 years old and my sister and mom had gotten really into the Left Behind novels (bible fan fic about the rapture). In the books when the rapture happened the clothes that people were wearing when they got raptured were left behind in neatly folded piles.

One day when I was getting home from school my family decided that they would leave piles of neatly folded clothes around the house, and then hide in the basement.

The intended effect was that I would get home and see the clothes then, think that my family had been raptured and that I wasn’t good enough to get into heaven… or something?

The problem was that I had never read these books, and didn’t really think about the rapture very often. There was no reason that I would see some laundry on the floor and think “The rapture happened and I’ve been abandoned by God! I’ll never see my family again!! Oh nooo!!!!”

I just sat down and watched cartoons and eventually my family got bored and revealed that they were all hiding in the basement.

It’s a good thing I didn’t understand the joke, otherwise that shit would have been traumatic.

Sure have! #I forgot how long it takes for Chimera Falin to come into play. #I still really love my 'better drawn' art of her - unfortunately it was several weeks too early for the anime only folks. #Slowly getting the hang of drawing Laios. I don't know why I struggle so much but I am getting...somewhere. #Meta time: God damn I love how the chimera shows off the expertise and gap between Kabru and Laios. #The truth is: they are both *right* and they are both *wrong*. #This creature is a combination of monster and human and they only have the skillset to deal with one of those. #Kabru goes for all the human vitals - but she isn't human. #Laios tries to approach her as a monster and is struck down by the humanity he sees in her. #She is something new that defies what they *both* understand about the world. And that makes her such a perfect antagonist. #The damsel was the dragon all along! #...She is really so cute though. Terrifying! But adorable. I am so excited to see the boom of fanart for her.
