So there's this genshin sagau where the reader has a bit of a language barrier with the other characters and I was wondering if that translated over to the Linked Universe as well? Like imagine the boys finding this random person with different clothes, accessories, and they talk in a language never before heard of? What are they, some kind of eldritch being? Meanwhile reader recognizes them obviously but frustratingly can't express any feelings asides from base concepts! Man.

Some funnies include; reader voicing more thoughts out loud now that no one can really understand them and reader eventually learning the language and getting a really sick accent out of it.

they get to observing their bunkmates for the night, subtly squinting at you, then turning to talk to each other, and slowly every link gets made aware of ur prescense, u didnt think u stood out that bad..

well, its not like when u first greeted the guy u understood even a single thing the guy said, it sounded like some sub-dialect of Japanese or something

u had realized earlier with horror that the game was staying true to its creators, and that most likely everyone spoke a special version of Japanese and ur English ass was abt to be so lonely and confused 😭

Wars/Time/Sky/Four in particular clearly noticed u exchanging all ur currency, as u can see them whispering or glancing at you occasionally as u pocket ur now little green gems the size of coins, rather than strip of paper

but its like fate (or maybe Hylia tbh) wants u to run into these legendary heroes (both kinda in ur world and definitely here) constantly

after the stable u manage to run into them in Kakariko Village, which wasnt crazy bc u needed more supplies, and it was the nearest town to the stable

ur sure they noticed, but u outright avoided them out of paranoia or making them paranoid u were following them, and u definitely saw who you thought was the hero of the Four Sword whisper about u as u walked by, not that u caught much

Honest-to-fucking-god seeing Wars, Wild, and Legend all crossdress to sneak into Gerudo village- u cant fucking escape them-

and the worst part is, you cant understand anyone, other than some basic words atp 😭

its as the Chain come from a path that merges onto yours on the way to Rito Village when Legend snaps first

Nearly every Link is staring at you bug-eyed in shock, confusion, and understanding all at once

the Chain’s attitude changes pretty quick after that, and they quickly connect the dots after, yes, u do a drawing of a portal in the dirt 💀

u gather from the few words u can get that it was indeed magic (probably Hylia) that kept shortcutting you and the group of heroes together over and over again

she can move your position in space time and yet she cant get u an auto-translator after being forced to be here.

(in the middle of u drawing to communicate Hyrule manages to understand the gist of what you meant by that and laughs)

the Chain are quick to be very accomdating, Wars/Sky/Wild all offering to try and better teach u their language, but in return they want to learn yours?

actually, that was smth u noticed pretty early on in the ensuing weeks of travel, was the fascination they had w/English and ur voice??

Wind constantly rambled at you and poked and smiled at you to try and get you to ramble back, and after getting more comfortable around them,

u start to talk like they cant understand a word ur saying, which is entirely accurate, and you notice some like to lean in when you talk, or respond with humming/saying smth like u can understand, or even just gesture for u to keep going

Four/Time/Legend?? surprisingly/Hyrule/Twilight like when u get rlly talkative like ur having a one-sided convo w/them all the time, and they constantly are looking at you poinetedly to hear u narrate whatever ur doing or give a response whenever they same something at you (Rulie/Four/Twi/ and sometimes Time, (and he turns away but Legend too) give a little smile whenever you ramble)

Wild is Very Interested in your langauage, bc the Zora, Rito, Gerudo, and Gorons all had their native tongue that he ended up learning, and so he constantly makes notes to try and decipher some of what ur saying in English

he lights up anytime ur able to successfully tell him another something abt it, like the alphabet, or grammar or structure etc

they seem to pay attention esp in the mornings or late at night? ur not sure why until Wind both draw pictures and tries to get the general idea to you to explain

everythings going great, the Chain trusts you, ur getting better at their language every day, and bc English is one of the hardest languages to learn in the world, theyre slowly getting some of urs!

it isnt until ur camping out in the Temple of Time when things get weird again

Not only is there English carved into the walls, which u read as the Chain give u “explain now” looks and u communicate that the rlly ancient looking script they may or may not be able to read is, in fact, the written version of ur language-

but then another portal opens, and there’s sentences wrapped around the edges, which are fully in English too.

THE PANDORA'S BOX HAS BEEN OPENED UVE BEEN WARNED

List under the cut with me tryna be as brief as I can without spoiling a lot cuz I Will Prepare These Meals Eventuall-

GhostHunters AU

In this one, Lambert is a paranormal and horror youtuber alongside a few of my follower OCs, their content revolves around exploring abandoned places in search for ghost activities

The Bishops would be evil spirits here, possessed by vengeful desires

Eventually the ghosthunters go to an abandoned mansion famous for a family murder that happened in it long ago (smtng like the Amityville tragedy), which would be the Bishops mansion

As they spend time inside the house, they discover many secret passages, underground labyrinths and tombs, until coming to the dark realization that what seemed to have been an abandoned mansion actually turned out to be a secret spot for cult meetings, and with recent activity

I wanted to do this one in the style of camera-recording kinda shit yk, like told from the POV of somebody carrying a camera with night vision because there would be chases

There would be a time where everything goes dark in the mansion and the gang becomes trapped inside the house, so they try to find a way out through the basement, which is where they discover the secret passages to the cultists' ritual place

Throughout the journey, Lambert would've become accidentally attached to Narinder's ghost after finding a belonging of his which they were possessed into bringing along with them. Narinder then becomes a "personal guide" for Lamby as they make it through the mansion; he makes sure to keep them alive while showing little to no regard for their companions, much to Lambert's disdain (obv)

In actuality, Narinder's plan is to get Lambert out of the house in order to later possess their body, as a mean to come back to life himself

Lambert is the only one able to see Narinder....except for Felix. Ive now decided he would be the "I see dead people" guy hello

Beauty & The Beast AU

Lambert was given as sacrifice to appease Narinder’s hunger in order to avoid a prophecy from coming true, but in the end they did exactly what they were supposed to (this part is not too different from the game-)

Narinder is kept in a temple-castle kind of building, surrounded by a dead river and dense forests, with some of the nature already obstructing its way into the castle so you can find trees and moss in there on someplaces. The building is HUGE and used to be where Nari and his siblings lived in together, so there are many rooms

All Bishops are instead addressed as Lords. They are also huge, at least 3 meters and up taller than normal-sized creatures and still rulers of their respective domains. After the quarrel with Narinder, they all decided to live in their own lands inside their own temples and have been ruling the world likeso ever since

Lambert is the last of their kind, they were living with Ratau and Ratoo who are farmers, until the Bishops took them away to give to Narinder

Narinder was sealed in chains, his physical body is trapped inside of a room, until he eventually managed to project his eldritch self outside of it. So who Narinder is now is nothing more than the condensation of his power and soul. The sacrifices were offered to stop him from growing stronger and eventually lock him back into his carcass.

Narinder doesn't let anyone inside the room with his body inside, and carries the key for it wrapped around his ribcage

Narinder is cursed to stay within the grounds of his temple, he cannot leave to go beyond the bridge or even outside to his own yard, or else he gets burnt

Lambert eventually falls for the beast and promises to help him escape

Band AU

In this AU, the Bishops have a band known as (The) Bishops Of The Old Faith, until Narinder's plans for the band as a whole diverts from his mates, so he quits to make his own music group called The Ones Who Wait alongside Aym and Baal

Lambert is an orphan who was raised by Ratau (and Ratoo for a while). They work at his pub, The Lonely Shack, and play music for costumers from time to time on Fridays and Wednesdays

Both Ratau and Lambert have always been big fans of the BOTOF band, until Narinder split to create TOWW, which Lamby continued to listen to because Nari was in it. Eventually, auditions for a new member were open and Lamby decided to take the chance to sign up

They fail at first for being too nervous, but luckily the same night, Narinder (whilst undercover) visits the Lonely pub and perceives Lambert's performance, now more convinced of their abilities given how more naturally they played out compared to the audition. Lambert then joins TOWW's band as a roadie, doing what has to be done until Narinder is sure that they can handle the pressure of working with him

They eventually gain more recognition from the bandmates for their talents and manages to become an official member

The drama starts when TOWW becomes more and more popular, because although Lambert joined in, they hate the spotlight whilst Narinder is ambitiously seeking fame

Also in this AU, each Bishop has their own family! Nari included :D Which I may or my not design depending on how I feel about it UHANSJDMAKD

Royal AU

Fun fact about this one: was solely based on the fact that I wanted to see Lambert in this scene from the Cinderella movie Ever After, screaming about their family and getting viciously reprehended for it (love me angst <3)

Lambert is a peasant who had their family murdered by the Bishops for presumably not paying their taxes due to poverty, so they lived on the streets for a couple of years and lived off from stealing food and counting on luck to have a roof above their head for the night

The Bishops are addressed as Kings and Queens (except for Shamura, who is a Ruler) and each reign over their respective lands with their own castles to live in, but they govern under the same rules which are discussed in a communal temple at the middle of all the lands

Narinder is an exiled king who rules the lands of Limbo, which are smtng like a forbidden place of sorts. After his sibling quarrel, Nari was cursed to stay inside his own lands, being physically unable to leave his own territory, only its visitors are able to come and go unless they are blessed by the Red Crown

In the meantime he has been trapped, Narinder trained his armies for the day they are able to go forth from their barriers. He knows that they wouldn’t last against the power of 4 Crowns, but he cannot cast his own blessing upon his soldiers for it would prevent them to leave his kingdom as well, so he must break the curse first. He has been sending out thieves and spies in order to find the incantation and steal it away for him

One day, Lambert unknowingly sneaks into Narinder's room to hide away from guards who caught them stealing. When Narinder spots them, he is rather impressed by their abilities to make it past his own guards and him, so instead of giving them away he asks his army to train them (his plan is to eventually send them out as well to retrieve the curse incantation)

Lambert then becomes a knight apprentice under Ratau's care, who's a veteran and one of the most skilled warriors of Narinder

As time goes by, Lamby grows fond of their king and - ofc- falls for him, smtng which the King learns about through mind-reading and takes advantage of in order to increase Lambert's loyalty for him

Rebellion AU

This one is also fresh new so I havent developed much of it aside from fantasizing about specific scenes, but basically: this AU explores the "what if the sheeps were stronger"

So every sheep here is much more violent than what I personally imagine them to be in the original game, they have a known base and village which is high-mid populated and are at constant war with heretics

The Bishops are also much stronger and beastial-like, succumbing fully to the power of the Crowns in order to resist against the sheeps' rebellion; their behavior is much colder and demonic, with little to no space for human emotions

The One Who Waits would be the sheeps' deity, which they worship and work their asses off in order to free

In this AU, Lambert's family is alive! But tragically more traumatized than their original selves

Maybe for the sake of the ship, I think the Lamb could either dream about Narinder every night for being very devoted to him, so they get ""divine interventions"" hehe, OR Narinder's presence could indeed be....lingering in the real world as a ghost of sorts or brief apparition, given that now the sheeps are fighting back the Crowns' power, that means that their influence wouldve been weaker. Which therefore could make way for their power over Narinder's prison to weaken as well, meaning that he could in fact be fred by simply killing the Bishops.

In Undertale language, this is basically a horror x fell version of COTL UDNJDSKDMASD

I have to admit that I, too, think Raphael would be a little ... tense about the emotional parts. - Definitely trivialize them and attempt to hide them while making it all about deals and power play. It needs a courageous (and/or teasing) Tav/Durge to get some more telling reactions out of him. I would love to see a hint (or more than a hint) of jealousy from him. Of course, none of those mortals is a match for him, he doesn't care if you have another little romance going on. He says. 😁 It would be very neat to have a possessive love scene with Raphael right after things start to become more serious with one of the other companions. He won't demand you to break up with them of course, but claim you as his. And then let you keep "your toy". (For now.) At least that's something I could imagine very well in this regard. my long and overcomplicated opinion on saw x (spoilers obvs)

1. Ignoring the plot and everything this movie was so pretty. Like the cinematography is so nice and it felt really well edited. It looked like a saw movie still but had a lot more money & time put into it. Especially since I saw it in theaters it looked particularly pretty

2. It stays true to the aesthetic of saw (for the most part :P) and it didn't feel super out of place. The only thing that felt off was John being in the good? Or at least seeming to be a good person by the narrative & how much screentime he got in the beginning.

3. MANDYYYYYYY oh my God Im so happy w how she was written in this movie I love her I'm going to kiss her she means the world to me

4. Epic bad luck

5. I think the overall story for the film works out and is relatively simple while being realistic in saw terms. It's interesting without being outlandish (unlike some other additions)

6. The twist got me of couuurrseee and it felt decently clever this time. Literally was on the edge of my seat during the whole thing. It's saw so you have to suspend your disbelief a little but this time it didn't feel as unrealistic as some of the twists.

7. I'm actually not that upset that hoffman was only in one midcredits scene. Having just John and Amanda in the game in Mexico made it so their interactions were more significant.

8. Fav trap was the eyeball vacuum!!!! While not technically a real trap I liked it the most :3

9. Amanda needs to stop having the most painful relationships with women it is tearing me apart. How she relates to Gabriela but can't let it get to her. She needs to be able to work like John, but her past keeps coming back to her. LET HER LIVE HAPPILY I CANT TAKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My main critiques of the film are: it's a prequel so some of the tension is kinda lost imo (like whether John and Amanda will make it out alive bcs...they have to lol in order to have saw 2 & 3 happen) and it feels really difficult to try and paint John as a hero or some sort of moral person. That could be misreading the intent of the film, but idk I just can't take it seriously when John & Amanda & Carlos are walking out of the building at the end of the movie like they've Saved The Day meanwhile in the next film chronologically John throws all those people in the gas house y'know? But with that said I kinda see the intention. John isn't a good person, clearly he puts all the con artists in their traps ffs, but I think this film is just trying to define the shakey walls that John works within. He's cruel, but he doesn't kill the innocent.

12. Also take all of this with a grain of salt I'm still in the post movie bliss where I don't see all the issues yet lol

I’m pretty sure from what I’ve gathered through ur blog that u work in the industry, but not directly with Warner Brothers? So just wondering how you’ve gotten so much info about the Winchesters? It’s totally cool if u don’t want to answer, I was just curious. I’m pretty ignorant on how the tv industry works. And also, do u know how many seasons the Winchesters is supposed to go for? Or at least what they’re aiming for? And is it leading into something else like a sequel or a reboot?? I mean obvs they’re gonna reboot SPN eventually, but is this directly leading to it? I’m really enjoying the show so far so I’m just curious.

Frankly, it came by several angles. Initial sending went one way. Followup additions went by another source. The script for net4 draft was found publicly. Fandom proposed it was fake, but minding the initial send, and previously available information included like the arenas I've talked about--as well as basic info like when drafts are submitted or sent out for order--well. You recognize shit and can see the authenticity stamps, and when you have older drafts on hand, there's certain shit you can't fake.

So there's that. One thing I've been clear about: I am not from Vancouver filming. At all. If anything Vancouver was lowkey enemy territory of Atlanta, due to the whole... WB pickapart of TBS, the ship out to New York, the pedowitz installation and then bulking out shows to Canada. So like. On that front, it's like a blood walking into crip territory. Like I know the game but I am DEFINITELY outside my perimeter. So on that front. You keep your head low and you know how to navigate.

My SPN attuned sources are, by and large (with a few new exceptions) separate from my industry sources. I fully admit I weaseled my way through things for years. I made very calculated decisions that seemed minor at the time, often unnoticed.

I was ripped up into a shitstorm on day one that fell me into an ITK group of old. It quickly educated me on a lot of fandom issues and contacts and information. Then TAW hit, and I got ripped further up the chain and tapped for information and reports. And then TAW kept hitting, but you guys never found out, because I was busting my ass, you're welcome. All those squabbles with "Castiel's Angels" or Lineage weren't just silly fandom drama, that was playing Pin The Travis Hydra Heads. For about 3 years, every 3 months or so we had a travis incident, and I'd have to shove out new reports which, tldr, basically went to misha's legal team, and no, I'm not going to break down how or where.

You guys saw public bickering with front accounts of his. Maybe you even saw the doxxing website. Hell, maybe you're one of the unfortunate dozen or so people that ended up on it. But you know what? Big Scawwy Awmy Man Twavis only updated one person's listing to Armed And Dangerous. People stopped knocking my mailbox down. And that was AFTER he was already mad enough to Fuck Around And Find Out, because he was already blacklisted, because the dumbfuck pissed his pants on my facebook where facebook will helpfully first degree his bullshit to names like Hilfigers. Great job, douchecanoe, you played yourself.

throughout I also made outreach efforts. Yes, I did message authors. Yes, I do know at least two have followed my youtube for years. yes, I know several read my blog and even refer to my mythos meta. Yes, I stayed involved with Wayward, and author support, and listened closely to what they said or didn't say, and took my chances to speak with them, and be known to them, and be a welcoming face of the fandom that loves their theology as much as their fight for ships. To listen to their love for each other, to treat them like humans, to learn who they admire in the room, and how that room works.

And over that time, after giving that help, I was asked for other help. Like author mute lists. Or actor danger watch lists to give to their security company.

I'm not gonna get terribly more specific but put a bullseye roughly in that ring of the gulf and that market, and assume the majority of my connections are there (with exception to a designer that moved up to New York and did some other work after I walked and an independently developed relationship with the Arrowstorm company by other means, so randomly, Also Utah, Because Life Reasons.)

Now look at the names behind Nexstar's leadership. Now look at TBS. Look at Dennis Miller, former creative under Ted Turner. Turner Broadcasting System. Look at Schwartz, talking about Tyler Perry nonstop. Look at the Assembly, look at all the stuff I been talking about, look at my talk about IAC, meredith etc etc [continues to gesture off in that direction]

Basically, the sources are many. The industry flow/stations/syndicates/affiliates/channel purchase/business/blahblah is like. One side of the lane. Make that column A. Column B is "holy fuck how did I get sucked up into this Vancouver clusterfuck LET ME OUT oh well might as well run some useful messages."

Also along the way I also do collect random shit. Sometimes fans just know I have a lot of info, and find something, and figure it might fit into the giant fuckin vault I'm hiding in the back and help us all piece out something. Like I won't lie, that happens a lot. Because sometimes you can have 95% of the puzzle but just the right pieces are missing, and someone trips and falls on the one that helps you figure the rest out.

No leaker or industry person ever has 100% insight just from a pipeline. It's something I talk about with people like Wiki, or Manchin back in the day. They get very overconfident with their new shiny badges and don't understand how their data is filtered, how most information is need to know, that the editing department doesn't get news about market testing, that the tech consultant doesn't get full modern scripts or advanced news on major elements that they're trying to keep tight, etc. But they all love to blabber to other equally unqualified idiots, which is how you get pipelines of "there's no market testing, (coffee runner) said so" "Berens has no intent, (coffee runner) said so." "The script is fake, (coffee runner) said so." Then like oops debunker proved it oops berens self proved it OOPS. OOPS THE PILOT AIRED AND THEY TRIPPED WITH THEIR OWN SCRIPT AND WERE EVEN LYING. WEIRD.

The older and more versed you are in the fuckeries of media, the more critical you are of sources, because even high sources can be limited in perspective from, say, the business angle you're coming from.

So I take a little from Column A, a little from Column B, I apply my compendium of industry knowledge and common sense, and slip in a little bit of Option C when it's slid on, and there you go, you have a self-critical and self-supporting 3-pillar structure to sort through extremely complicated truths in.

Beyond that, things like the filming I find is a mix. Like, IG exists. But I also worked in the area so I know which IATSE groups to follow even if people aren't technically listed yet, because they might free up on one job and wander in to replace a colleague in another, then of course there's the ones that you can find if you know the IATSE group. Like, the average fan doesn't give a fuck about the Electrician or Set Dresser, but I Fucking Do. So basically, take that as more "I know a few of these guys, trained a few of the guys that trained these guys, I know the neighborhood, I know how to waddle around and find shit."

Random Xenoblade 3 Predictions in no particular order!

Xenoblade 3 connects both games so obvs spoilers beyond this point

-The Scary looking Ouroboros being seen taunting the party prior to Noah and Mio’s awakening is comprised of characters we know of from past games. Who exactly? Well...where are Tyrea and Dromarch? Could also be two characters deeply connected to Ethel and Isard so...there's that. 

-Noah could possibly be an amputee. When the clip of him pulling a katana from his Blade happens, his arm is exposed, no longer having a sleeve cover it and we see glowing bits of tech on it. Either Noah lost an arm when he was a child solder or he loses it at some point in the story A LA Cross in Xenoblade X CH 5. What’s that mean for the gauntlet that forms? Fighting to live and living to fight, you can’t just have a replacement arm in this world if it’s not going to help you get an edge in combat.  -I have a feeling that more characters will appear in the story who can interlink. Not playable, but characters nonetheless. I’ve seen predictions of Melia and Nia fusing, and I have a feeling that Ethel and Isard, who are able to see who is an Ouroboros due to their eyes, will also fuse given their shared desire to strike down the part. Might be some sad irony there.

-We saw a Junks-like boat in the water sailing to the remnants of Letheria’s titan cluster back in the first trailer but never saw it in this one. Is the ship actually Junks itself? Future Connected made a big deal about Shulk modifying the ship to be pilotable by Homs according to the description of his headgear he starts out with in it. Keves has his designs all over, Shulk could have helped mass-produce a line of transport ships modeled after Junks so they could have transportation to the Shoulder and back. 

-The guest characters we see in the party will for sure be important players in the plot. A Machina girl and a super diluted Male High Entia. My hope is that, even if they’re not active party members always, that they’re at least helpful for major story fights. Juju was given a gun towards end-game of 1 but was helpless prior, so having guest members actually fight proves that they’re not just...there in the party. -Riku and Minana are clearly the final slot for the party. I’d say that they have moments where they stay behind where a guest character from above takes their slot. Reason why I think they’re the true final slot is down to the fact that every Xenoblade game has had a Nopon in the group: Riki, Kino and Nene, Tatsu and Tora. Torna the Golden Country was the only one not to have Nopon, but it seems to be the exception.  -Alvis will come back. The Conduit will come back. Pyra and Mythra will come back. And we’ll see possible Shulk and Rex descendants, if not the two at a much older age. Or maybe even dedications to them? It’s not like Shulk and Rex’s heroics were done under the radar, the Homs and Humans know what they did. ...or they could instead be blamed for the reason why the worlds are fused and label them as false heroes. ....that’d be dark. -Noah will have a combat line that gets turned into a meme on day one and people will start figuring out how to get him into the next Smash game.

Inside: already spoke of this, but I really do like the game. by the studio Playdead, your a boy in what seems to be in an apocalypse-like world and are breaking into a lab to do...something. the game never explains anything, though it gives hints. thats the fun of it. its a simple but still wonderful artstyle that gives none of the characters any facial features, making it more eerie in my opinion. theres seemingly walking corpses all around, and everyone seems to want to capture or stop you. its only about 4 hours or so (if you dont look for the little Hidden Achievements) but MAN that ending will stick with you. its a puzzle game of sorts, where sections require you to figure out how to proceed. really fun! little scarring! there are 2 endings, but the second one is REALLY hard to get to, so don’t worry abt it.

Journey: GOD this game is old but fun. you play as a strange red-cloaked creature as you, well, journey towards the mountain. along the way you will meet another player that is seamlessly connected to your game. but heres the twist: the other player has no nametag, and you have no way to communicate with them. no chatbox, nothing. you only communicate in simple chirps. and despite that, you team up with this person as you travel together through the lands, finding more pieces of your scarf, traveling the beautiful terrain, all to make it to the mountain. you’ll meet them at any part in the journey, so they could be there the whole way or just a little bit of it. its really fun, really sweet, and while its even shorter than Inside (about 2 hours), I replayed it a lot. the designs on your cloak change every time you play (up to the fifth play, then its the same) and if finding enough pieces to your scarf, can gain a white cloak. I really like this one!

Shelter (1, 2 & likely 3): made by Might and Delight, you play as a mother animal and must travel the land to feed your babies and survive in a harsh world. in the first game, you play as a mother badger with five cubs as you face eagles, floods, the monsters in the dark, etc. the game guides you along, but its still fun. Shelter 2 is where you play as a mother lynx w 4 cubs, and its completely open-world, with a notable few more enemies, but this game absolutely expanded on the first one. pulls at your heartstrings a bit and should you lose a cub, you can’t help but feel awful about it. plus, shelter 2 allows you to play as one of the surviving cubs in the family tree! they’re currently making a shelter 3 with elephants, and I am VERY excited for that. they also have Paws, which is a sort of prequel to Shelter 2 where you play as a lost lynx cub trying to find the meaning of family, and Meadow, which is where you play as other animals in a HUGE multiplayer open world just exploring with no real plot. I’m also especially excited for their other game, the Book of Travels.

Oxenfree: you play as a girl named Alex who travels to a mysterious island with your new step-brother, best friend, and 2 frenemies on some strange school trip of sorts. but as you stay there, you realize the island holds haunting secrets and is out to get you and everyone else. it feeds on grief, and reality itself is glitching and sporadic and you need a radio to figure it out and escape. it has multiple endings, and you can choose the dialogue. kinda like Night in the Woods, but with a LOT of differences. startled me a good few times when I first played it, and I like seeing the other outcomes I can accomplish. and let me tell you, when you play it again after your first playthrough, you’ll be in for a bit of a surprise.

Lost Ember: your a wolf who is the reincarnation of a long-dead human in an abandoned, healing world. a small spirit is trying to find his way into the afterlife, and you both team up to find the afterlife to see why this spirit can’t find it, and why you were denied from it. you find out you can possess other animals and play as them to get around the map and simply have fun! its very beautiful and as you travel you discover the story of your past, which was...quite tragic. also yr a girl n you had a gf so thats a bonus. its not a true open world, as your guided to certain spots, but the lands you travel to are Big and you can spend as much time as you’d like exploring them and finding little easter eggs. its real sweet, I liked it. also that last sequence before the ending *chefs kiss* made me Feel things. its just so PRETTY.

thats all I have rn, tho I imagine someday I’ll have more. these are all ones I own, so I obv can’t speak for other games that sound good if I’ve never played them. I would seriously recommend checking out these games, at least getting an idea for what it is and seeing if you might like it, you never know!

i stumbled upon ur writing looking for lady d x non-binary reader fics and ur work has just been a godsend i’m obsessed. it’s inspired me to start writing my own even though i’ve never written for fandoms before. i’ve never written for other actual characters before either so i was wondering if u could spare any tips for writing for lady d and her daughters? 🙏🏻

I can certainly try! I'll divide the tips into lil sections for each characters. Might be less tips, more character observations that help me figure out how to write them? Putting under read-more for length. Also! If you ever want someone to look over what you write before you post it, I offer my services! I can't guarantee how fast I can respond, but I've been editing/proof-reading/giving general feedback for my friends for years, with everything from fanfiction to college level essays.

Alcina:

Large and in charge, literally. Regardless of the situation, Lady D wants to stay in control, or at least look like she's in control. Okay, minor exception being anything involving Mother Miranda, since she's the one person Lady D has any real respect for. Otherwise, Alcina maintains a good grasp on any situation, looking for ways to put herself in control.

For example, she often uses her height as a means to establish dominance, even within RE8 canon. If you watch a video of the Four Lords meeting, Alcina stands up once she starts arguing with Heisenberg, towering over him in an attempt to intimidate. We also see the aforementioned exception in this scene, as Lady D sort of "shrinks" a little when Miranda responds.

As much as Lady D wants to be in control, she's not always actually capable of it. In the game, we see her struggle to contain her emotions, and often releases them in outbursts. Such as the infamous vanity throwing scene (god I love that so much). It can provide some nice contrast in scenes, having Lady D be so in control one moment, then as soon as she's behind closed doors she's letting it all out.

Uses the most old-fashioned language out of her whole family. It's kind of hard to describe how one goes about writing this way, but I recommend trying to find some journals that were written in the early 1900's and reading them. Or just some classic novels (not Moby Dick, tho, that one's a bit much, in my opinion). One thing I can say is occasionally swap contractions (can't, don't, I've, etc) for the full version of the word (cannot, do not, I have, etc). Something about that always makes dialogue feel older, though I can't really explain why. Whatever you do, just don't rely too much on using synonyms. Replacing common words with their cousins can make dialogue feel "fancier", but you often run the risk of unintended connotations (feelings, positive or negative, associated with a word) messing with how a text is interpreted.

Puts up a front/facade around most people, as part of her noble background and need for control, with words like "stoic" and "composed" coming to mind. Very rough with troublemakers, no mercy. But!!! So very incredibly soft with her family/loved ones. I've seen some people accuse her of "faking" her love for her daughters, but these people either played a different game than I did, or they can't read emotions as well as I can. Gentle touches when she's checking if her kids are okay, little glances and gentle nods for reassurance, pausing a chase just to help her daughters, etc.

Bela:

Wants to make her mother proud. Legally obligated to make her mother proud, because she's the eldest daughter. Not that I know how that feels, being the younger of two children. Regardless, Bela is the most well behaved of the daughters, even when her mother isn't around. However, she does resent this position to some degree, based on in game dialogue/dialogue files that are in the game but aren't used. Personally, I see her as someone who's willing to let certain things go in exchange for favors/blackmail ammo.

Cleans up after her sisters a fair bit, sometimes literally. Feels responsible for them, to the point where their mistakes are her mistakes, and she's forced to compensate on their behalf. Because of this she ends up complaining a lot, though almost only when her family isn't around.

Still very protective of her family, she simply does most of her protecting behind the scenes. Knows how to manipulate a situation, which she probably learned from her mother, and can be quite convincing when she wants to be. Less likely to use violence to solve a problem than anyone else in the family. Will she use violence if need be, or if someone fucks up enough? Yes, absolutely, but she'll focus more on efficiency than misery (unless someone really fucks up).

Generally speaking she's more eloquent than either of her sisters, though not by much unless she's trying to impress someone (usually her mother).

Cassandra:

Two words: Angry. Horny. To her, they might as well be one word. Horngry. Cassandra struggles with her emotions more than either of her sisters, being a pressure cooker ready to pop basically all the time. It's not hard to set her off, but it can take ages for her to cool back down. Let's her frustration (of any variety) build up until she can bludgeon someone to death with it. Harshest on the servants, and spends the most time toying with others in the dungeon.

Like Bela, Cassandra wants to make her mother proud, but it's less of an obligation and more of a "I'm the middle child and feel like I don't get enough attention" type deal. Is more than willing to stoop to "tattle telling" activities in order to get the attention she craves. Usually sticks to obediently following her mother's orders or hunting down enemies, though.

Bit of an artsy type, and the most likely to take trophies from her victims. Gross ones, usually. Okay, well, that's debatable, but I'm talking about general consensus rather than my specific tastes. Personally, I don't care if she's got some weird blood paintings. Hell, I've got extra blood, and also am clumsy and bleed a lot anyway, she can have mine!

Hides her non-anger emotions as best as she can. Hates talking about her feelings (even if it helps), to the point where it's usually impossible to tell how she's feeling deep down. Remember, anger is a secondary emotion! No one is ever just angry, there's always something else hiding underneath, such as: Sadness, disappointment, loneliness, jealousy, etc. Keep this in mind when you're writing her. Make sure you pinpoint the center of her anger, and hint at it, letting her actions show her true goal.

Swears the most, easily. Tends to speak in shorter sentences than her sisters, and prefers being blunt to being eloquent/flowery.

Daniela:

Love, love, love, love, love, ahhhh deep breath... love. Loves love, or at least what she processes as love. Would do anything for romance. Except she also craves "natural" romance, creating a sort of paradox that adds to her delusions, as she engages in the pursuit of unintentional romance (not to be confused with "The Pursuit of Unintentional Humor", a song that I very, very much enjoy). Wants to be loved for who she is at the same time that she attempts to mold herself into a more lovable shape. Struggles with intimacy, wanting to feel vulnerable without actually being so.

On some level she understands that draining people of their blood, and then drinking said blood, is not equatable to a healthy relationship. But seeing as this is the most common form of supposed "intimacy" that she experiences, she refuses to acknowledge the true nature of what she does. Instead she clings to the idea of "forever bonding" with her partners, pretending that each one is still with her, even when she no longer remembers their names.

Hates being rejected, no matter how gently. "Ugly" cries, but only if she's alone, often turning her pain into anger, just like Cassandra. However, her outbursts don't seem to last as long. In reality, her breakdowns simply occupy the inside of her existence, rather than the outside. Sure, she's giggling and causing chaos, like usual, but on the inside she's breaking a record for most depressing internal monologue.

Reads a ton, but not always "quality" books. Goes through a dozen books or more a week, often rereading her favorites several times, mainly within the romance genre (obvs). This affects her speech a fair amount, making her both cheesy and occasionally smooth as hell.

i was wondering why everyone in my yt timeline was angry abt the anniversary rewards, so i decided to check it out. not a good choice. words cannot express how disappointed i am :))

this truly is the most gacha gacha game to have ever existed. even their anniversary rewards are gacha! (and it's not even 50/50, it's 10/90).

we have like 8 days left before it officially becomes 1 year, i rlly hope that they do smth to amend this bc i can tell that quite a bit of ppl who have spent money are either gonna turn f2p or are just gonna drop the game altogether.

it legitimately sucks bc genshin is truly an amazing game, but the company is just... not it. i dunno, for the amount of money i've thrown into this game (~$200), it just sucks that we get basically nothing back. i could've used that money to buy some genuinely better games on steam or smth.

i know that it's technically called a 'community event' but like, even for a community event it is pretty bad. if this truly is the anniversary event, i'll probably just never spend a single dime on genshin again. the fanbase is already pretty upset with their recent actions, but instead of placating them with decent rewards, they did the opposite.

i just can't fathom their actions, bc this just shows how greedy of a company they are (surprise, surprise) but that they just don't care abt their fanbase, especially the ogs that have been there since the very start.

ngl i am totally underinformed abt this topic. like for me, i’m dealing w so much alr i just chose to stay away from anymore yt and twt drama. tbh, i’d be lying if i said i expected anything from mhy. like sure maybe i was optimistic that they’d give more than the ten fates you get in the daily log-in but i realistically knew that other rewards would probably be contest locked and i didnt have any plans of joining any so in my head, there would be no more additional things to be given away.

i dont think i know enough abt gacha games to comment on this matter but i can understand the disappointment of the people. the top rewards that they plan to give based on the 4 minute video i watched to answer this ask properly is not even enough for one pull and im??? there’s smth obv wrong here? ngl the first place prize sound more like the consolation prizes.

alas, games are ultimately a business and ig they feel like they’re losing money if they give any more back (which might not be true in the first place? like personally, more rewards = more incentive to acc play and spend more bc it feels like the return is good value). i dont really spend any for games and i refuse to buy any more bc im saving up for actual irl things but i do admit at spending 9 dollars in the game. its not a lot and idk if its worth it but hey, at least i got childe. that’s enough for me ig😭😭😭

on a more serious note, i agree that this would’ve been the perfect time to make it up to the fanbase after the series of controversies they got involved in but they fucked up even more. i acc dk anymore im just standing here watching everything burn. i wouldnt say its entertaining but it does take my mind off the migraine im experiencing for the past few weeks so 🧍‍♀️

anw, genshin in a great game overall. i just hope that mhy wont waste that opportunity and do better w management and player retention.
