Marble Hornets - Hoody x Reader
So yes, I saw another author do something similar to this in their book on Quotev, and I liked the idea so I thought I'd try it out. This isn't canon whatsoever, it barely has anything to do with the actual story considering it takes place after Entry #87, and everyone is either already dead or gone. It's basically a 'what if' scenario that makes almost zero sense if you look at it from the eye of a critic. Don't judge too harshly! I made it when I was bored and in need of inspiration considering it's been weeks since I last updated this book. I'll give you more details about what I was thinking during this one-shot down at the bottom of the page.
Warnings: Mentions of death
You were walking steadily through the dead trees of what you assumed to be Rosswood Park, completely lost but also not really trying to find your way out. Why would you? You had nothing to go back to. All of your friends were either dead or missing, and your family... well, let's just say your family didn't exactly want you with them, which is why you stuck so closely to Jay, and Tim, and the others. But now you had nobody to stick close to. They were all gone.
The last thing you remembered was helping Tim fight off Alex in the old high school, then when Alex had been killed, you passed out and somehow woke up in Rosswood. More whacky teleportation, probably. Either that or you were sleep-walking, which wouldn't really surprise you considering everything you've done the past few years.
You also managed to unmask that hooded figure and were more than astonished when you saw Brian, your boyfriend that had gone missing all the way back in 2009 and was the whole reason you got involved with Jay and this mystery in the first place. You weren't sure how to react, you felt a rush of relief, shock, and anger all at the same time. He wouldn't wake up, of course he wouldn't. He had just fallen from a fifteen-foot window and landed on concrete. He was dead, and you knew that, but a part of you didn't want to accept it.
You hadn't got a lot of time to try and get him medical attention, for the Operator once again showed up and ran you and Tim off, then Alex got in the way, and well, here you were. Thankfully, you had woken up with your phone, but it was quickly losing battery so you tried calling Tim one, two, three, four times. He never answered, which lead you to believe that he, too, was gone. That left you all alone, stranded in the woods, with no one to turn to. Nobody to live for.
It felt bad enough not knowing where Brian had been all of this time, and you started believing that he was actually dead, no matter how much you denied it. But then finding out that he had been alive through the whole thing, and was watching you, well aware of how frantic you were over his disappearance, and had plenty of chances to reveal himself to you but never did? It hurt. And it made you mad. How could he do such a thing? It felt like the ultimate betrayal, and it really was in a way. If he was trying to protect you he was doing a poor job of it.
But now he was gone, and for good. You saw proof. You saw his motionless body more than once, and it made you want to rip your heart out of your chest and throw it to the floor. And you would have, had he not already done it for you. Losing him not once, but twice? You were already experiencing the pain from Jay's death, but discovering that your boyfriend had also died? Indescribable grief is what you felt. Your heart ached, your mind throbbed, the tears wouldn't even come to your eyes anymore. You had cried them all out.
You truly had nobody. Your feet scraped across the dirt and pebbles beneath as you continued wandering aimlessly through the forest. Where were you going? You couldn't even bring yourself to care. Your stomach rumbled, your throat was dry from dehydration. How long had you even been out here? At least two days. It was cool out, but not dreadfully so, being only June. The oversized hoodie Brian had let you have prior to all of this chaos was keeping you plenty warm, however, it only made you even more depressed. This was the last thing that was left of him. You would die in it for all you cared because you sure wouldn't be taking it off.
If you got close enough, you could still smell his scent, if only faintly. It brought you a sense of dread, but hopeless joy as well. You couldn't quite explain it. The Operator, or whatever that thing was, hadn't messed with you at all. Why? Who knew. Maybe it moved on to someone weaker to pursue, seeing as how its original victims were long gone. Or maybe it just slunk back into its weird underworld, its Own Zone, or whatever. Just as long as it left you the heck alone. You were not in the mood to be played with. After all, it was the cause of all of this. It's the reason your boyfriend was dead, the reason Alex went crazy, the reason everyone was so unstable. The reason that everyone you ever loved, who ever loved you, was gone.
It was extremely difficult to process. How could any of this have happened? You were just a normal girl with a normal life, with normal friends, with a normal boyfriend. At least, most of your friends were normal. Turns out Tim was the one that it attached itself to first. He was patient zero, in a way, but you stopped blaming him long ago. It wasn't his fault. Yes, he should have told you and Jay sooner, but what would be the point in being angry at him now? He was inevitably deceased, too.
You missed Jay, Tim, even Alex, as much of a jerk as he had been. You missed your other friends, but most of all you missed Brian. He was the one that had been with you when personal problems wouldn't stop messing up your life, he was the one that stuck by your side the whole time. He had been the epitome of a loyal and perfect boyfriend, and to find out he had kept the fact that he was stalking you and Jay for who-knows how long a total secret? It was disappointing. But what were you going to do, now? He was gone, it didn't even matter, anymore.
You kept your gaze trailed on the ground as you took weak steps through the trees, stuffing your hands into the pocket of the hoodie and not thinking about anything in particular. There was no doubt in your mind that Brian had been trying to do what he thought was best for you, as he likely thought that revealing himself after so long would put you in danger. But you were already in danger. Maybe he was afraid of what your reaction would be. Good, he should've been, because you would have been furious. You still were furious. You trusted him. You spent five years looking for him, worried sick about him, and he was watching you the whole time? Watching you suffer? Not doing anything about it?
Sure, Totheark was one thing, as he made it abundantly clear that he was trying to point you and Jay in the right direction several times, along with the masked figure, who was Tim, and another unknown person who had never been revealed, but it had also seemed like he was taunting you sometimes. Had he really changed that much? Did he just not care? You know that you had changed in major ways since the investigation started, but you had never stopped caring about your friends. About Brian. In fact, your love for them is what spurred you on. It was the only reason you got involved, to start with. Because you wanted them to be safe. You wanted him to be safe.
And he practically just spat all of your hard work back in your face. Understandably, you were vexed, but the sorrow topped the anger. It didn't matter if you kicked a tree. It didn't matter if you screamed. It didn't matter if you cursed your screwed-up life, cried about your losses, or just downright died because of it all. Everyone you loved had been taken from you. Why were you the one survivor? Why couldn't it have been someone stronger, someone who deserved it? Someone like Jay? You had been briefly acquainted with him thanks to him knowing Alex, but when all of this chaos took place, the two of you got exceedingly closer.
You had been there for each other, through all of it. He was probably the one person you trusted most in this world because even though he was stressed, likely more than you were, he never lost that aspect that made him, well, him. He never let the Operator get into his head to the point of it changing who he was. Sure, the past few months he had been easily irritable, but you were, too. And the both of you had become pretty paranoid, but who wouldn't in that situation? The point is, you two stuck together. That's what got you through everything, your friendship. He was the only one you could truly count on.
And what happened to him? He was brutally ripped from your life, all thanks to Alex. All thanks to the Operator. And you didn't even get to say goodbye. He was just gone, and right behind him was Brian, then Alex, and now Tim. Every single person whom you ever cared for, now dead. Never to be seen, again. You had nobody else to try and protect, nothing else to do. You didn't have another reason to continue fighting. You didn't even want to find the way out of this park. You had nowhere to go that wouldn't bring back loads of painful memories.
So you figured, you would wander around until you eventually just dropped dead. Is it possible to die from mental agony alone? If so, that would surely be what took you out, if lack of water and food didn't do it first. A gust of cool breeze swept through your tangled hair and, for a moment, you felt more human. It merely lasted a moment, but it still felt nice. What drew your attention was a sudden snap of a twig, and you jerked your head to the side, a bit startled by the noise. You saw nothing hiding behind the trees, then again it wouldn't be the first time you failed to see when somebody was watching you. But all of those people are gone, at least the ones you knew about.
So what if you were being recorded right now? It wouldn't surprise you. You didn't even care. You just wanted the pain to stop. Besides, it was probably only a squirrel or some other harmless woodland creature minding its own business. No need to worry about it. A disconsolate sigh escaped from between your lips and your gaze once again averted down, eyelids beginning to feel heavy. When was the last time you actually had a solid night's sleep? How long had it been since you weren't plagued with terrible nightmares, or an ever-present fear of being killed, or endless worrying about your missing friends?
It had to have been in 2010, right? That was when everything began getting more complicated than you could have ever imagined. If you had a second chance, would you have just brushed Brian's disappearance aside and gone on with your life as if nothing had ever happened? Would you have been able to ignore it all and avoid the inevitable trouble you'd get into? The answer you came to is no, probably not. Brian meant too much to you. There would be no way to simply move on without digging at least a little in an effort to get to the bottom of what happened.
Your head snapped up again when you heard yet another sound, this time it seemed as if a small rock had been crushed farther into the dirt, and right in front of you. What you saw made you gasp and stumble back from surprise alone, your foot catching on a root and making you fall on your back. You gaped up at the figure standing only three feet away from you, trying to comprehend how exactly this could have been possible. It isn't possible. Right? No. No, it isn't. So how was it happening?
He tilted his head to the side slightly, as if confused why you were reacting the way you were. Oh, gee, I wonder. It isn't exactly normal to see somebody who died standing directly in front of a person. You didn't speak, not for a few minutes, anyway, and neither did he. The nerve. You'd think he'd at least have the decency to say, "hi, I've risen from the grave, wanna go get a coffee?".
But nope. Not a word. Your eyebrows furrowed as you finally came to a reasonable and most likely conclusion. It was a hallucination. He was a hallucination. A mere image your mind created to deal with your grief. What else would it be? Real? Absolutely not. There was no way, it was only your imagination playing cruel tricks on you. "Go away," you muttered, voice scratchy due to not speaking nor having anything to drink. He didn't listen, he only continued to stare down at you, though you couldn't sense any type of malice, irritation, or even sympathy emanate from off of him. In fact, he seemed almost... curious.
You sent him a glare, trying to keep your composure and act as if seeing him didn't make you want to break down into tears for the hundredth time and wish that he was still here with you. But he wasn't, this was only your mind playing games with you. And you were sick of it already.
"I said, go away." Slowly, you pushed yourself to your feet, not taking your eyes off of the hooded man in front of you, and when he still wouldn't listen, you hardened your voice. "I don't need you here." He waited a moment before taking a step forward, indicating he still refused to get out of your head. What could you have done in this situation? It isn't easy escaping your memories, even though the only thing you wanted to do was escape them. This one, in particular.
His hands were dangling by his sides casually and his ski mask did everything to conceal his face and any emotion that may have been in it, which was the point of it, you supposed. And you were inwardly thanking your mind for coming up with an image of what Jay's followers on Twitter dubbed 'Hoody', instead of what you absolutely did not want to see, which was Brian. Not the hooded figure, just Brian. Your boyfriend. Or late boyfriend, now.
You let out a resentful growl, scooped up a small rock from the ground, and lobbed it at the hallucination, hoping that once it went through him that he would disappear and leave you alone. This was too much to take for your vulnerable, broken state right now, and you just wanted it to stop. However, something happened that you most certainly did not expect. The rock, instead of flying right through him as it should have, hit him below the shoulder with a soft thud before bouncing off and landing on the dirt, once again.
Not only did it hit him as if he were an actual, physical being, but he flinched back at the sharp impact and craned his neck down to look at the rock that had just been thrown at him, then focused his vision back on you, the girl standing with wide eyes and a confused expression clear on her features as her body went rigid. What was that? Plainly, you were losing your marbles in more ways than one. Hallucinations aren't real things, they're in the mind and in the mind only. So how did he, a hallucination, block the path of a rock, a very real, very concrete item, to the point it couldn't only be heard when it hit him, but it bounced off of him?
Still, he didn't say anything, and the silence around you, save for the tweets of birds and rustling of leaves, nearly made you crazy. Why were you doing this to yourself? Surely you had suffered enough, already. Why couldn't he just go away? You clenched your fists, in anger or as a way to gather your bearings, you weren't sure, and bit the inside of your cheek. What were you supposed to say? This couldn't be real; Brian was dead. It would be impossible for him to be here with you. Unless there was somebody pranking you to get some kind of reaction out of you. That would be the only logical explanation.
"This isn't funny," you snapped, shooting daggers at the person still ahead of you. "Get out of here before I make you." With that, you stomped around him, making sure to keep your distance as you continued on your way, trying to forget about him. You shook your head in disbelief. How dare somebody play with your emotions like that. But how would anybody know where you were? How would somebody get an outfit exactly like Br... like him? Unless they stole it off of his dead corpse, which is a thought you really didn't want to consider too much.
Who would ever prank you in such a way? Who would find you all the way out here? You couldn't be tracked—your phone had died after the first couple of hours you had been out here, and even so, you had ended up throwing it into the brush of the woods miles back. You figured that you'd never need to use it, again, since you planned on just dying deep in the forest soon. And they couldn't have followed you, not for so long without you noticing. The more you thought about it, the more it just didn't make sense. Everyone that had been keeping tabs on your and Jay's story likely thought you were already dead, so it couldn't have been one of them.
Your train of thoughts was derailed when you heard, what sounded like a leaf crunching behind you, and hesitantly looked back, seeing just what you expected to find; the same hooded figure, tailing you, though not to the point of it invading personal space. You didn't care though. It was disconcerting, especially since you had just disproved your theory about it being a prankster. This wasn't a prank, everyone who knew about you was dead. That should have included Brian, and you thought it did. Could you have been wrong...?
No. No, he was dead. So maybe it was just an extremely vivid hallucination after all? Then how did a rock bounce off of him? Could you have imagined the rock? No, the rock was real. He was not. It was beginning to get darker, you could tell by the way the sun fell past the trees and the sky faded into a deeper shade of blue. The cicadas began to chirp persistently, and in only a few minutes your eyes would once again have to get adjusted to the change in lighting.
Exasperation grew within your chest, as well as a flaming desire to get rid of him, and you spun fully around until you were looking directly below the red eyes that were painted onto his mask, where you assumed his actual eyes to be. An indignant huff left your mouth and you took a step forward, fixating on him with a threatening scowl and talking between your teeth.
"Go away." Your tone left no room for argument as the sentence slowly came out, but still, he stood there. Not a word came from behind the mask, he just stayed still. Staring at you. A move that finally made all of your anger rise to the surface, and you didn't even try to contain it. You just wanted him gone. "Leave. Me. Alone!"
In one quick movement, you took another step forward, stretched your arms out, and with all the force you could muster up, pushed him backward. It must have taken him off-guard because he did nothing to stop you, nor could he catch his balance before he tumbled to the ground with a thump. You sucked in a sharp breath, trying to calm your racing heart. You didn't expect to touch him. You didn't think there was anything to touch. But you could feel him, and clearly, he felt you, too. You blinked down at him with puzzlement, unable to fight the tears any longer.
You couldn't handle this. It was too much, it was just too much. You only managed to take two steps back before your legs became jelly and collapsed beneath you, sending you falling to the ground on your knees. You didn't mind it, not right now. You just had to compose yourself enough to get away. But something in your mind told you that wouldn't be very easy.
You allowed your hair to fall in front of your face as you tilted your head toward the ground below your trembling frame, screwing your eyes shut in an effort to stop the constant flow of tears from cascading down your cheeks. That's odd, you were sure that there were no more tears left to cry. Perhaps your body was saving them for this moment because it knew that it was going to torment you even moreso than it had, already. When would it all end? Until you died, probably. Quiet whimpers exited your mouth, you didn't bother trying to stop them. There wouldn't be a point. You were alone, anyway, no matter how much your mind wanted to convince you otherwise.
"Please go away..." The sentence came out as no more than a pained whisper as you hugged yourself, trying to come to terms with everything. It was bad enough that he died right in front of your very eyes, but now your mind was taunting you by making you think he was actually here? You could hear the faint sound of pebbles being displaced as if someone was drawing closer, and sniffed. "I love you too much. I miss you too much. Please, just... just leave me alone." Your voice cracked, though it wasn't extremely noticeable thanks to how low it became.
After a minute, you thought that your ears picked up muffled, gentle breathing, and you knew for a fact it wasn't you. Finally opening your eyes, you slowly leaned your head up, a bit surprised to see him not only in front of you but on his knees looking at you through his black and red mask. He was mere inches away from you now, and you weren't sure what to do. He obviously wasn't going to leave. Your mind wouldn't give you a break. Or was this really just your mind? Of course, there was no other reason. Brian wasn't here. Brian was dead. Even if it was him, he would have said something to you. Well, at least your Brian would have.
You weren't really sure what the new Brian would have done. After all, he went years without letting you know that he was so much as alive rather than dead like you presumed but didn't want to believe, and instead stalked you and your best friend, threatened you, taunted you, and lead you on wild goose chase after wild goose chase. It was unknown if the 'new' Brian would have even alerted you of his presence like this one. Probably not. He would have just recorded you from behind a tree, stay far out of your sight, and then used the footage to send some type of cryptic message in binary through Youtube that would take you and Jay hours on end to solve.
But this one, he wasn't acting nice enough to be your Brian, nor was he being mysterious enough to be Totheark Brian. He seemed almost... vague. Confused, curious. And it greatly addled you. If it somehow was Brian... why would he be acting so strangely? Who knew. Being pushed from a window would have its effects on a person, you supposed. But how would he have been here with you? He died. He wasn't breathing, his heart wasn't beating. You saw it. So what were you seeing now?
Reaching up slightly, you put your hand on the top of his knee, your breaths turning shaky. You could still feel him. You could touch him. You can't touch hallucinations, right? Leisurely, your fingers moved up to his hands that were placed on his thighs in a relaxed manner and grabbed one cautiously. You squeezed it, and it took a moment, but he squeezed back. As if following your lead. It was warm, and you could feel skin and bone beneath the glove he wore over it. Hallucinations aren't warm.
You scooted just a little closer and put both hands on his chest, giving it a light, effortless push to see if he reacted. He tipped back briefly before stiffening, posture becoming more solid. Your touch traveled up to his shoulders as you scooted even closer, tears glistening in your eyes as your intent gaze went up to his masked face. Would he let you remove his mask? It was the only way to tell for sure if he was actually Brian, or if he was just an imposter. You were afraid of either possibility.
There was hardly any doubt that this was an actual, physical person in front of you. The question was, is it the person you thought it may have been? Did you even want it to be him? You didn't even know what you wanted. You paused your movements before feeling faintly around his throat for the hem of the mask, thankful when you found it without much trouble and began sliding it upward.
Only then did his hand come up and wrap around your wrist, firmly but softly, and you flinched a little from the sudden action. You knew what he was saying. 'Don't'. "Please," you started in a tone so quiet that nobody could hear it unless they were right beside you. "I...I need to know." It took around thirty seconds until he finally let go, albeit slowly, and brought his hand to rest in his lap, once more, giving you complete access.
You gulped and pulled the mask off, eyes widening when you saw the sight that awaited you. It was him. It was Brian. His hair was quite a bit longer than it was the last time you had seen it, and now messy, too, his eyes were still that deep shade of brown that you fell in love with, and his lips were set in a mellow frown. He looked almost exactly like you remembered him. But something was... different. Maybe it was the paleness of his skin or the confused, unfamiliar look in his eyes, but something wasn't right.
He stared back at you, eyebrows slightly furrowed in what you recognized as perplexity. You ran your finger along his cheek, his lips, through his hair, as if to make sure he was real. This shouldn't have been possible. He died. How would he have been reincarnated? Without you knowing about it, especially? All of these questions and more flew by in your mind, but each one was only there for a couple of seconds before the next one appeared. You couldn't process any of them right now. You were too focused on the man sitting here, right in front of you, in arms' reach.
You dropped his mask to the side, eyes collecting even more tears as you parted your lips in utter disbelief. "Brian..." Saying his name seemed to spark some sort of recognition within him because he tilted his head and brought his own hand up, wiping away a droplet that was slipping down your cheek and almost studying you with curiosity present in his brown orbs. This made your heart clench. What on earth was happening? All of your friends were dead. What was this one doing coming back?
You couldn't stop the weak, pathetic whimper that left your mouth as your heart rate increased, unable to fully comprehend the unspoken information that had delivered itself to you. The only thing you could think about doing was bringing him close and refusing to let go, which you did. Your arms wrapped so tightly around his neck that it's a wonder you didn't break bones, and your head leaned against the side of his own, letting out heartbroken sobs that you didn't even know existed, anymore.
It didn't take long before you felt his arms snake around your torso, pulling you closer to him as well and enveloping you in a hug that was an odd mix of comfort and confusion. You didn't care, though. All you wanted was to stay in your boyfriend's, who was presumed dead, embrace, and never let go. You didn't need to know the answers, not right then. You had gone five whole years without his touch, his voice, his presence, and you weren't going to waste this chance on searching for an explanation. You just wanted him. You needed him. You got the faint feeling that he needed you, too, whether he realized it, or not.
__________
So... yes. I liked the idea and wanted to write it, mainly because I think the whole 'Hoody tilting his head in confusion' thing is really cute xD Don’t say anything, you know you do, too.
Anyway, what I was thinking is that basically... Brian did die but he somehow came back to life after the events in Entry #87 but nobody knew it. It's Brian that came back to life, but he's kinda different? He had his memory almost completely wiped and can't really talk because he's dead. He's a physical being, but he's like a ghost? It doesn't make a whole lotta sense, lol. He remembers very significant people that were in his life, in a way that he feels connected to them and has an instinct to protect them, but he doesn't remember them as we would think.
Is that like, way too confusing? I'm sorry, it's not a thoroughly-planned idea, in fact it's very vague. I just love Brian so much and it absolutely killed me when he died in Entry #83, so I wanted to bring him back! Even if it's for unexplained reasons. Heck, I don't even know how he came back. Vengeful spirit? Pure magic? Extreme love for his girlfriend that refused to let him rest in peace without knowing she's safe? I think I like that the best.
Also, I was sneaky and put a little reference from Joseph DeLage's live stream on Marble Hornets in the one-shot so let me know if you found it!
I’m well aware that my first real post on this account is about Hoody, and I could give less of a shit if I’m being honest. Brian is baby and I have an obsession with him that may or may not make me dream strange things about him. But don’t we all? I mean, who couldn’t absolutely fall in love with his smile? Or his laugh? Or his voice, or his eyes, or his face, or just every-freaking-thing about him?
Also this one-shot is crap but I am currently running off of about four hours of sleep and have been for the past two days so my writing isn’t exactly polished and reward-worthy content.
But yes! Hoody x Reader, there it is. Hope it wasn’t too cringy.

                                                             I
       Looking at his own reflection in the mirror, he saw everything that led to this moment, to his current life. Seeing his 30 self in front of his eyes, he thought back of the time when he was just a young boy coming to a dark home most evening without any sign of his family members. He can remember the always or so sticky notes on the table, a word of his mom or dad making him remember that once again he will have to be alone for dinner in their apartment. But with time this sticky notes hold another signification, one that with time means only one sentence to his mind. And this sentence led him at the exact same place every time, the door localized next to his own, his very neighbor‘s door on the left side. Coming back to reality, he adjusted his pant that lowly stayed on his hips, his hair still damp from his fresh shower began to glue to his forehead. Sighing he brushed his hair to put in back in place. Then a sound and an odor entered his room, his nose immediately got filed with the sweet fragrance coming from another room of his now own apartment. Memories came back again, this smell reviving his memory and he got lost again.
                                                             *
           10 pm at night was the usual time for him to enter the code on the apartment’s door and enter the dark place. Once again, he was the first one home; the first one was always greeted with no light on and the lonely feeling of being the first to be back. The young boy with his hair damp from the sudden rain on the way pushed the light’s button and took off his shoes. Walking through the apartment, he entered the kitchen and met the habitual sticky note on the dinner table; taking the note between his fingers and reading his content he didn’t even react. But the end of the notes changed from the habitual “Love from Mom”, he had to read it a few times before eventually considering it.
“ “Go ask if you can join our neighbor for dinner” as if they wouldn’t have eat by the time I come back here”, the young boy sighed but still looked at the front door.
Maybe trying to go over to the next door apartment wasn’t a bad idea, if they haven’t eat then he would be able to share a dinner for the first time this week with someone, if not he would just cook himself some instant noodles again. The young boy put back the sticky notes and opened the front door, leaving again. Taking a few steps, he looked at the door in front of him, the exact same one as his. Without any hesitation, he ringed the bell on the side and waited. Not to look after, he was greeted by a girl.
“Jin-ah, what are you doing here? Do you have a problem.” Said the girl while looking at the boy slightly younger than her.
Jin answered by a shrunk of his shoulder and adding the reason of his presence here. The girl didn’t ask for more before letting him enter her home. Looking around Jin quickly understand that she was also alone here, it wasn’t actually a surprise, he knew that her family was also very busy all week and only had a bit of free time during the weekend. Following her to the kitchen, a smell of cooked rice hit his nose. Another fragrance had begun to mix with it when the girl told him to seat down on the high chair her family had around their table.
“You came just in time Jin, I was fixing my dinner” said the owner of the voice from the kitchen.
And not to long after, she came back with two plates well filled with rice and pork cutlet. She had added a sauce, probably curry. Jin looked at her before asking if she made it herself.
“Hyeonwu – sshi often have to stay late at work so I have the habit of cooking for myself. Convenience store food quickly became boring here. “Was her only answer.
             Jin didn’t ask further even if since he met her he has this question bucking him. He can clearly remember when three month ago they came to live right next to his family. On their first day, his mother absolutely wanted to go greet her new neighbor with some rice cake. And like a very good neighbor, her mom insisted that Jin came to introduce himself too. When the door opened in from of them, he was immediately greeted by a tall man. He was probably in his thirty’s, had colored brown hair and was a typical Korean citizen. But then appeared behind him a girl who didn’t stuck to any idea of a typical Korean girl. She had a European appearance with her big green eyes, white skin and ginger hair. Jin couldn’t at first understand the link between the two people before his eyes. His mother seemed to have the same feeling because the man quickly introduced himself.
“I am Kim Hyeonwu and here is my daughter, and you are?”
“Sorry for not introducing myself quickly, I am Miss Kim and this is my son Jin. We are your neighbor, the apartment 664.” said his mother while giving the plate of rice cake to the man in front of her.
The man with a very polite movement of his hand let the two of them enter his house. He and Jin mother made their way into the living room while Jin hesitantly followed the girl to the kitchen. He watched her take glasses from a cupboard and poor water in each of them. Jin a bit impatient and unwell from the silence between them spoke first.
“Hey, do you speak Korean? I mean, you don’t look Korean so…”
“I do speak Korean if not I wouldn’t be able to survive here, even if I don’t look Korean doesn’t mean I don’t speak Korean.” was what she said after handing him his glasses first.
Jin embarrassed and his cheeks all red suddenly didn’t know what to say anymore. The girl intimated him with the way she answered like he offended her. In a way he knew he did, she was right to tell him off. Joining their respective parents to the living room, they seated in front of each other while they parent were happily talking. That night Jin learned that they came to Korea from France, Mister Kim had met her mother here, but without her in their life he decided to come live in Korea after accepting to work into the Korean branch of his company. He learned the girl’s name, a name totally French that he strangely found sweet on the tongue but that she also had a Korean’s name: Kim Myeong. A very elegant name for her was what he thought. But something shocked him: the way she addressed her father. For all evening she didn’t called him “Father” but “Hyeonwu-sshi”.
             And this still bothered in now while he was eating with her. The question still burned on his tongue and maybe he had to finally ask the reason. They were alone in her house without the man in question around them to catch on their conversation. Jin waited for her to have finished on piece of pork cutlet to finally ask his question.
“Say Noona, why do you call your father by his name?”
“Because we aren’t a blood related family, he is in reality just my guardian.” Was her answer after a long sigh and a hesitation. But this didn’t seem to be enough for Jin.
“Why?”
“You don’t have to know, it isn’t really important. Now keep eating before it gets cold”, this time she answered with this really quickly.
Jin caught on her tone and decided intelligently not to ask further for the night. At least a part of her mystery was solved. But now the new question forming into his young brain was why this man was her guardian and not an other member of her family? Jin knew it would take him more than just one meal with her to find out. Letting this question aside, he continued to eat what she served him. And now that his focus was finally only on the food, he could taste the sweetness of the curry sauce and how slightly spicy taste gave the rice sweet essence. The sauce also made the fried meat a soft texture while keeping some crispy part. Who could have imagined that this 15 years old teenager could make such a good meal? The sound of his cutlery fastened and his was literally devouring his dinner right in front of the very astonished young girl.
 “Jin-ah slow down, you are going to suffocate with how much you eat.”
“It’s delicious, this is far better than what I ate all week”
 The girl didn’t add up anything but gave him a small smile before mumbling something he didn’t quite caught. But Jin didn’t need it to know it, because right at this moment what matter was his heart beating like crazy and his brain telling him he just fell in love with that small and silent smile.

----------------------------------------------
The pounding in her head was what woke her the following morning. Shielding her eyes from the glaring light that was filtering in through the window to left of her bed, she sat up and squinted as she took in her surroundings. The only clothing she had left on were her bra and panties, the blankets kicked messily to the floor; but the empty room was an indicator she had slept alone last night. Which was a good thing...for once.
The last thing she needed was her brother up her ass for acting like a fucking Crow Eater, and given how much she had drank the previous night things were a tad on the fuzzy side. Doing her best to suppress the agonized groan as she pressed the heel of her palms against her eyes, trying to relieve some of the presser building in her skull as she attempted to recount her steps from the night before.
Heaving herself off the bed, she looked around the room for any sign of her clothes. The search leaving her empty handed. It seemed her pants and her tank top were as good as gone, but her boots were somehow placed neatly beside the bed.
“Fantastic...” She muttered under her breath. The last thing she needed was to walk out in her current state...not only would the guys have a field day, but her brother would likely skin her alive. But thankfully, a little more searching turned up an old Def Leppard tee that she quickly tugged over her head; scents of leather, Marlboro, and a faint hint of cedar washing over her. The combination was pleasant, soothing even, as she inhaled deeply. All thoughts of her hangover disappearing for a brief moment before she caught herself, letting the fabric fall away from her nose, her headache suddenly ragging again as she reached for the door.
It was still quiet when she stepped out of the room. Navigating the hall and the bodies and other random things that littered the floor the Clubhouse floor. Trying her best to be as quiet as possible as she crept towards the kitchen. Praising whatever God was listening that there was already a full pot of coffee waiting when she entered.
“See ye found yer’self somethin’ to wear.”
The voice caught her off guard as she was rummaging through a cabinet for a coffee cup and some Advil. The cup she had been reaching for clocking her in the head on the way to the floor as she jumped, tugging the shit down over her ass out of habit as she whirled around.
“Jesus Christ.” She breathed, her other hand clutching at her chest. “Are you trying to give me a goddamn heart attack?!”
Chibs gave a hearty chuckled as he grinned back at her, kicking away from his spot against the counter behind her to pick up the mug off the floor that thankfully, was still in one piece.
“Sorry, love.” He apologized, holding the mug out for her to take. “Dinna realize ye didn’ hear me come in.”
“It’s a little hard to hear anything right now over the Mariachi Band that’s trying to escape from my skull.” She replied, her voice raspy from all the cigarettes and singing the night before. Chibs gave a small laugh as he filled her coffee cup.
“Three bottle a Tequila will do tha’ to ye.” He replied as he filled his own cup, returning the pot to it’s rightful place on the warmer before opening another cabinet and grabbing a small green bottle of Excedrin. “Should ‘elp.”
Teagan accepted the bottle eagerly, popping the cap off and shaking out a couple of the white pills. She downed them quickly with a sip of coffee, chasing it with half the glass of water that Chibs offered her.
“Thank you.” She breathed a sigh of relief, the water somewhat curing the awful case of dry mouth she had. “For the shirt too, I’m guessing?”
“Aye.” Chibs replied as he leaned back against the counter opposite of her. “Ye were still half clothed when I put ye’ta bed las’ night.”
“Define half?” She gave a groan of embarrassment in reply as she hid her face behind her right hand.
“Well...ye were wearin’ a shirt an’ yer boots.” He replied. “ Yer pants disappeared somewhere a’fer midnight.” He sipped at his coffee, trying to hide his amusement.
“Great.” She grumbled into her mug, the air between them falling silent between them a few moments.
“Dinna worry yer’self lass.” He assured, suddenly beside her again as he refilled his coffee mug. His kind brown eyes warm and assuring as he squeezed her shoulder gently. “Nothin’ wildly inappropriate happened...I mean, ye tackled the poor Prospect.” He chuckled at the last part, watching Teagan’s face turned red out of embarrassment.
“Oh God...” She groaned.
“Figured at tha’ point it was time fer bed.” He added.
“Well...” She cleared her throat awkwardly, her green eyes shifting up to meet his own. His expression kind and free of any judgement she normally might have received, allowing her to relax and smile softly in return. “Thank you for looking after me...I tend to get a little out of control sometimes.”
“Anytime, lass.” Chibs smiled, the dimples on his scarred cheeks making the older man that much more attractive. Her knees going a little weak as she turned her attention back to her coffee cup, ignoring the blush that was surly tinting her cheeks and ears pink.
“I’ll um, make sure you get your shirt back after I buy some clothes later.” She stated quietly before taking a sip, silently cursing herself for acting like a school girl with her first crush.
He waved her comment off as he looked down at her. “Ye can keep it. Looks better on ye anyway.” He assured her, not trying in the least to hide the flirtatious tone in his heavily accented voice.
Teagan was about to crawling under the table out of embarrassment, her face officially flaming, knowing he was referring to the earlier incident when he had entered the kitchen. There was no way he hadn’t seen her ass while she was stretched up on her tiptoes digging through the cabinet for a mug.
“Oh good, your up.”
“Jesus! Are you people trying to kill me?!” Teagan gasped at the sound of Gemma’s voice, the older woman smirking as she observed the sight in front of her.
“’Course not baby.” Gemma replied as she kissed the top of her head, accepting the coffee mug from Chibs with a smile.
“Certainly not how it feels...” Teagan mumbled sarcastically while rolling her eyes, yelping in surprise as the older woman’s hand connected with the back of her head sharply.
“Don’t get smart with me, missy.” She warned as Teagan rubbed at the back of her head. “I’m here to deliver something you might want.”
“Is it pants?” Chibs inquired with a teasing tone, ducking out of the way before both women could slap him.
“Enough with the comedy show and follow me.” She stated, Teagan groaning as Gemma pulled her forward and out a side door that lead to the back storage units. Thankful it was still early enough that the pavement wasn’t boiling hot yet as she was forced to go barefoot, Gemma impatient as always and refusing to wait for her younger counterpart to fetch her boots.
“Christ Gem, what’s the hurry?” She questioned, balancing her coffee carefully as they walked, trying not to let it slosh out of the cup.
“You’ll see.” Was the only reply to got as they stopped in front of one of the bigger units, Gemma pulling a key from her pocket and removing the lock before gesturing for Teagan to roll the door up. “Go on then.”
Teagan didn’t ask questions as she set her coffee cup down, thankful again that they were the only ones out back -- save for Chibs who crossed the lot, her boots in hand -- as she bent to grab the handle on the storage unit door. Her shirt ridding up, exposing the lacy neon pink cheeky panties she had been trying to keep covered.
Gemma shooting Chibs a warning glance as he settled beside her, watching the young woman with an amused expression as she struggled with the door. Muttering what he assumed to be profanities under her breath as she yanked the door free finally. Sending it upward to reveal a covered vehicle. Teagan glanced back at Gemma with a shocked, but excited, expression.
“Tig wanted to be the one to show you...” Gemma nodded. “He had business this morning with Clay though...so he asked if I would return this.” She watched with a smile as Teagan ripped the car cover off, revealing an old primer painted ‘68 Chevelle.
“How?!” She questioned with a look of astonishment as she ran her hand up the hood. Inspecting every inch of the car carefully. “It was almost completely totaled.”
“Tiggy fixed it up as best he could after you went away.” Gemma smiled sadly. “He knew how much it meant to you, and he wanted to make sure it was here, in case you ever wanted it back.”
“I figured he would’ve scraped the damn thing.” Teagan chuckled halfheartedly, her bright green eyes suddenly full of a million different emotions. Chibs observing with great curiosity from behind Gemma, but he knew better than to ask questions.
“Clay convinced him not too.”
“Oh...” Teagan replied quietly, her expression falling as she looked through the windshield at the gutted interior of the old car. Memories of her past suddenly hitting her like the weight of a thousand suns. Swallowing hard around the lump that was forming in her throat, she wiped at her face quickly as she turned to exit the storage unit.
“I uh...I should go get ready.” Pushing passed Gemma and Chibs gently, she retreated back to the clubhouse without another word.
“Wha’ was tha’ all abou’?” Chibs questioned as he watched her walk away. A sense of worry suddenly taking it’s hold, a knot forming in the pit of his stomach.
“It’s not my story to tell.” Gemma replied with a sad smile as she patted his shoulder gently. Picking up the coffee mug she had left behind and closed the unit before heading back inside as well.
Leaving Chibs alone with his own thoughts. Wonder just what exactly had happened in Teagan’s past to leave her looking so...broken?

A LETTER OF A STRANGER
Tumblr media
There were two towns got separated creating a barrier to avoid each other because of total disparity. The division was between poor and rich. It’s written on their law to preserve their tradition and to maintain stability. The rich town believed that it’s the best way for everyone. The poor town didn’t even bother to speak on their behalf because they don’t have the power.
Many years have passed, everything got aged. Many children that were born had no idea and remained clueless about what is the significance of the barrier. They were all forbidden to be near on that wall because it is said it’s dangerous.
In a poor town, where people accept their fate, living with poverty and unsafe place. They have fought for their lives since they were born. Struggling to live and are ready to die anytime. And a woman was born named, Agatha. Everyone knows her very much because of her pleasing personalities. She is very kind and helpful to everyone without any condition, also courageous and a dreamer. She always dreamed to be rich because she wanted to help everyone on their town. She always looked at the possibilities and what she can give or offer to everyone. Every time she looks at the huge barrier, she always sees it as a motivation to overcome those challenges in life. She was so curious even more about what’s behind the wall. Deep inside her, she really wanted to go there and doesn’t mind about the danger behind it.
In a rich town, where people are living with prosperity and luxury life. A man was also born named, Anthony. He grew up with the most respected family and was destined to be the next leader of their town. He always do what he is told to do and to act accordingly because he don’t want to disappoint his parents.
One night, Anthony can’t sleep because of too much thinking about his responsibilities as a son and how to become a good leader to his people so he decided to just go for a walk to release all his frustrations in life.
“Am I ready and worthy to receive those responsibilities?” Anthony asked himself. He breathed heavily and sighed. Reality snaps him and realized that he has gone too far to notice that he's in front of the huge barrier.
He looked at it and said, “This wall really speaks to me. All the things that burdens me since I was born.” As Anthony looked at the wall intently, it builds curiosity on his mind about what a poor town looked like. He felt drowsy so he decided to rest on the wall.
Agatha patiently waiting to make sure that the people in the town are all asleep. Her cue is that the lights are already out. As she walks, she felt the cold wind touches her skin that made her shiver. She remained still, refusing to shiver. Even her breathing was slow and regulated then, she stopped. She stop in front of the huge wall and closed her eyes.
“I would had never imagined how insane I am that I just go here out of my curiosity. Oh! It’s a good thing that I brought my pen and paper here,” said Agatha while opening her brown old bag.
Another insanity enters to Agatha wherein she wrote a letter and pretended that there is someone behind the wall who can read it.
“How do I send this to someone behind the wall? Hmmm… Oh! What a surprise seeing a slingshot here,” exclaimed Agatha.
Agatha put a small stone on the paper and crumpled it, then send it using the slingshot. Luckily, it reaches behind the wall.
Behind the wall, Anthony was already asleep and suddenly woke up because something just hit his head very hard. It was the crumpled paper written by Agatha.
“Ouch! What was that? What’s this thing?” Anthony asked.
Anthony picks up the crumpled paper and opened it then the small stone began to fall on the ground. He was so shocked because no one can send this or throw it in a long distance from his town except if it comes from behind the wall. So he decided to send it back behind the wall to make sure that his suspicions are true. And as the letter goes back to Agatha, she concluded that truly her insanity make sense and believe that behind that wall isn’t dangerous at all.
Every midnight, both of them always go behind the wall and exchanging of letters. This slowly build their friendship towards each other. They share about their way of living, the town, the people, and everything in it. Their friendship is very strange because they never tell their names to each other and will just remain as strangers.
Agatha felt so uneasy that night but she just ignore it and started walking. Suddenly, she heard people screaming. Agatha was so startled upon hearing it. She runs very fast back to the town and she felt that her heart wanted to hammer its way out of her chest. She was shocked upon seeing those people crying and screaming with agony and pain because many are infected by an unknown diseases. Some of them are dying and no one could help them. They were like waiting to die and be buried.
Agatha was crying heavily because she has nothing else she could do to help them. She felt so helpless and her faith lit up as she thinks that her friend might help her. So, she went back rushing to the wall and send a letter to someone behind.
“I’m so sorry, I’m late. Did I make you wait so long? There was something happened in our town. Many are infected by an unknown diseases and some of them are dying. Please, I’m begging you. Help me save them, to save their lives before anyone dies. I’ll wait for your reply.”
Anthony received the letter and read it. He became so worried about what had happened about those people and wanted to help them. As he was about to write his reply, he ended up upon throwing the paper. Because he was so afraid to make his parents and the people around him to be disappointed. He ran away back to his town. He immediately went to his room but he can’t sleep because he was so guilty that he didn’t do anything for them.
Agatha is still waiting for her friend behind the wall to reply but there were no signs. So, she decided to return because she thinks that her friend can’t help her. The saddest truth about is that she expected too much. She wrote a last letter to send to her friend but decided to keep it and just go back to the town.
Anthony finally decided to help his friend. He roused up and wrote a letter. He call the attention of his parents and all the people. They were all clueless of what is going on until he started speaking.
“I know you’re all confuse why did I called your attention. First, I wanted to apologize for my actions that I break the law. I have a friend that I always communicate through sending letters behind that wall. Yes, I know. I’m not worthy to become your next leader. I hope you’ll all understand this things. Many people in the poor town are infected by an unknown diseases and they are dying because of it. Do you like seeing someone die and suffer? Let us put ourselves on their positions. What should we do? Let us break these barriers. Let’s unite and be as one town,” Anthony said while raising his right hand.
The minds of the people are already open. People are all shouting and delighted because they realized that there is no point on separating the town. His parents didn’t join the crowd and remained silent. People stopped and the atmosphere changes.
His father compose all his emotions and said, “To tell you honestly son, your mother and I were so disappointed because of it, but it’s good that you stand for yourself and boldly speak to us. You made us proud and that means, you are now ready to take over my position. Do as what you think is right, son.”
“Thank you, father.”
Anthony commanded all men to break the wall and as for the women, they were tasked to prepare the medicines. People are all united to let things be finished as early as they could before it’s too late. The walls are already broken and the people are very sad of what had happened to the poor town. It’s worst than they could ever imagine. The field was so dry and the crops are eaten by the pests. The town looks like very old, dark, and desolate. The people are crying and so helpless.
The people in the poor town sees that the huge wall is already gone and people are coming on their way. They couldn’t believe that the rich town finally break the barriers. They thought that it was just a dream, an impossible dream to come true but they just got to believe it. On their eyes, there are tears coming down but full of joy and hope. People are hugging each other like they were long lost friends and were happy to see each other for a long time.
Agatha couldn’t believe it either that her friend help her and the people. Every drop of her tears telling countless thanksgiving to her friend. She immediately run to the broken wall but accidentally bumped to a man that made her letter being drop to the ground and right after she immediately took it and then leave.
Anthony searched for his friend but carelessly bumped into a woman and his letter has drop to the ground and immediately picked it up and then went his way.
Agatha keeps on waiting and Anthony keeps on searching but they realized that they have not known each other so they decided to go back. Along the path that they’re walking, they get their letters and opened it. They were astonished because it’s not their and found out that they already met a while ago that it was their friend behind the wall that they used to send letters. They run as fast as they could and met at a distance. They stopped and smile. Thousand words to say, the eyes tells. They will no longer be called as strangers again.
The two towns are already united and became one. They all lived in a fair, harmonious, and a happy town. Everything changes, all the bad memories and negative experiences they had before teaches them how to be strong, forgive and forget, and to accept that everything happens for a reason. It’s fate that they are separated and was brought back together.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The three of you moved forward, to a large open room.
“I got heat signatures.”
“How many?”
“Uh...one,” Tony said, confused.
Once you stepped inside the room, you saw the winter soldiers in cryofreeze capsules...a bullet in their heads.
“If it’s any comfort, they died in their sleep. Did you really think I wanted more of you?” a voice suddenly sounded over a speaker.
“What the hell?” Bucky murmured as the group of you continued to step forward. You were so confused. If he didn’t want more Winter Soldiers...Why was he here? Why were any of you here? What did he want?
“I'm grateful to them, though. They brought you here.”
A light came on, startling all of you. Tony charged his blasters while Steve threw his shield at the figure. You moved into a fighting position. The shield hit right where the figure was, hitting a wall. He was in some sort of room.
“Please, Captain. The Soviets built this chamber to withstand the launch blast of UR-100 rockets,” the man informed.
“I bet I could beat that,” Tony stated as he started to walk forward. Steve and Tony focused on the man while you and Bucky surveyed the area for any sort of sneak attacks. Bucly’s gun swung from left and right, then back again as he moved carefully on his feat.
“Oh, I'm sure you could, Mr. Stark. Given time. But then you'd never know why you came,” the man stated.
“You killed innocent people in Vienna just to bring us here?” Steve asked, anger brewing beneath the surface of the question.
“I thought about nothing else for over a year. I studied you. I followed you. But now that you're standing here, I just realized... there's a bit of green in the blue of your eyes. How nice to find a flaw,” he said with a hint of a smirk.
“What is this?” you demanded, your nerves bristling. You didn’t like this at all. Something was wrong. This guy planned and did way too much just to get you all in a room.
Why? What was his end game?
“You're Sokovian. Is that what this is about?”
Steve and the curious man went back and forth on why were there. Then he mentioned something about toppling from within again. An empire being dead forever. A monitor turned on with a date. All of you gravitated to the screen to see it.
“I know that road,” Tony suddenly informed. “What is this?” Tony called to the man in the room.
The man didn’t answer though as all of you stared at him, he stared back, a cold look on his face. A car slammed into a pole on the video, someone on a bike doubled back and pulled up beside the car. Your eyes flashed to Tony’s face as he examined the footage. You had no idea what this was. A man was crawling out of the car, but another man...Bucky...walked to him, grabbed his hair, and pulled him up. That was Howard Stark. You’d seen his face before from numerous videos online and pictures in Tony’s room.
Tony looked up to Bucky, astonishment and horror painted on his face. Bucky’s eyes finally met Tony’s before Tony’s eyes flashed back to the screen. You both looked and Bucky’s fist smashed into Howards face a few times before he let him fall.
You gasped and covered your mouth with your hand. Tears welled in your eyes as they flashed to Bucky. You knew he couldn’t help what he did but the brutality...the coldness of it was shocking to you. Bucky seemed so...gentle to you. He wasn’t capable of murdering your friend’s parents.
On the footage, he drug Howard back to the car and put him in the driver’s seat before moving to the passenger seat and assumably killing Tony’s mother. When the job was done, he shot out the camera.
The footage stopped.
As did your heart.
Tension in the air was so thick you were practically choking on it.
You wanted to console Tony. That had to be the most horrifying thing for anyone to witness.
Tony moved to go after Bucky, making your eyes flash up to them. You couldn’t bring yourself to look at either of them until then.
But Bucky stepped back, lowering his gun for whatever Tony was going to do to him. That’s when you realized….He wasn’t the monster that was on the screen. A monster would fight Tony, not lay down his guard and accept any fate dealt to him. The same sweet, broken man you had fallen for was still in there. He was still good.
Steve stopped Tony and he spun back to him.
“Don’t.”
Tony turned around and asked Steve, “Did you know?”
This was a question you had wondered yourself. Could Steve have possibly known that Bucky killed Tony’s parents and...withheld that information? He wouldn’t do that...would he?
“I didn’t know it was him,” Steve answered.
“Don’t bullshit me, Rogers! Did you know?” he demanded again.
“Yes.”
Tony jumped away from Steve and you felt your heart break for Tony and for you. The shock from his answer made you take a step back. How could Steve not tell you or Tony? How could Bucky not? How...how could he do it?
Betrayal and heartbreak snaked through your body.
You knew he couldn’t help it. You knew he couldn’t control it. But that didn’t change the fact that Tony was like family to you. The Avengers were the only family and friends you had. The fact that he killed Tony’s parents wasn’t something you could just...forgive or forget. Whether he could help it or not.
Bucky’s eyes flashed to yours for a fraction of a second, trying to assess your thoughts of him, but your glassy eyes just peered back into his. You didn’t know what your thoughts were of him. Your system was on total overload and you were sure your face expressed that, because a look of loss was injected into his gray-blues.
After a moment, Tony suddenly slammed his arm hard across Steve’s face, sending him flying.
“Tony!” you shouted. Seeing them fighting made your heart hurt so bad you thought you couldn't stand it. Tears finally spilled onto your cheeks.
Bucky raised his weapon to face Tony who was now fully suited up. Tony blasted the gun out of Bucky’s grasp and they started to fight hand to hand. Tony grabbed Bucky by the throat and started to fly off.
“Tony, no!” you screamed as you formed a glider and followed him. “Tony, stop!” you begged, horror, anxiety, fear, and worry all balling together to make a tight ball in your throat and stomach.
You knew that Tony killing Bucky would bring him no peace, and that Bucky couldn't help what he had done. If it wasn’t Bucky, it would’ve been some other poor soul that Hydra fucked up in the head sent to kill Tony’s parents.
Just as you had told him on the jet: he had no choice and we couldn’t let our pasts define us.
He slammed Bucky onto the ground, held his metal arm down with his iron boot, and aimed his blaster at his face.
“No!” you screamed again, knocking into him. Of course it didn’t phase him though. Steve threw his shield and knocked him off Bucky. Tony got up and charged at Steve, knocking him back as he threw a handcuffing device to his legs. Bucky got up and hit Tony in the jaw. Tony picked him up and held him against a container. Bucky grabbed his arm and broke his blaster shield.
Tears were still flowing freely from your eyes. Your two best friends in the world and a man you had already fallen in love with were at war with each other and you weren’t sure where you stood.
Tony pulled his arm back and opened up a rocket launcher to which Bucky diverted it, causing it to blow up a large piece of equipment above you. Steve worked to free him of his shackles. Nothing you had would even stand a chance against Tony. The equipment started to fall, breaking the fighting men apart.
You raced over to Bucky to check on him.
“Are you okay?”
He nodded as he got up. You two looked to Steve.
“Get out of here!” he commanded. The two of you began running, checking over your shoulder for Tony. You ran around the corner and right behind you, a blast came at the wall. Bucky hit a button and a door opened up at the top of a shaft. Bucky started to climb as you formed a glider.
“Come on!” you urged before your eyes found that Tony was in the area with you, blasting an area so that Steve couldn’t come in. Tony tried to fly  up to bucky who was hopping and running to each platform. You took your eyes off of them for a second and Tony kicked him across the shaft.
You immediately flew down to protect him. Kneeling in front of a hurt Bucky, you formed a shield. “Tony! Don’t! Please!” you pleaded through a rough lump in your throat.
“Move, Y/N. I will go through you to get to him, don’t test me,” Tony warned.
“Please. Tony, if it wasn’t him, they would've sent someone else,” you stated.
“And I’d kill them too,” Tony said as he blasted at you but you formed a shield, trying to keep it in tact from his blast.
You cried out in pain as you pushed yourself harder than ever before to keep your shield up and intact.
A shield hit Tony, distracting him for a second. Tony blasted down to Steve, but the hit bounced off the shield and knocked Tony back against a wall. You urged Bucky to keep going up with you. Below you, Steve had yanked Tony down with a cord, slamming him into a platform far below. Steve threw his shield and Tony deflected it.
Finally, you reached the ladder, almost out, Bucky right ahead of you. But a missile hit the hinge and the blast knocked both of you back. Bucky hit a platform but you fell in the middle of the shaft, falling fast.
“Y/N!” Bucky screamed as he rolled over to see your falling form.
You formed a shield of sorts under your back, hoping it would stop or at least cushion the impact. It didn’t help though. You landed hard on the concrete, an unbearable pain rocketing through your entire bod, knocking the wind out of you.
“Ugh!” you wheezed as soon as you could breathe again. Your vision was hazy, your head hurt, your back ached. Through blurry vision though, you saw that the three of them were still fighting high above you. Until suddenly Tony and Steve were crashing to the floor and you had to roll to avoid them.
Steve and Tony stood up but you were still doubled over in pain, blood starting to spill around you. You thought it was yours but you weren’t sure.
“This isn’t gonna change what happened,” Steve suddenly said from below you and Tony.
“I don’t care, he killed my mom.”
Tony launched over to Steve and they began fighting, from what you could hear.
A second later, Bucky landed beside you.
“Oh my god...Y/N...I never wanted you to do this for me,” he said as he lifted your head and blood covered his hand.
“I told you...You’re my mission. I have to protect you,” you said weakly, the smallest grin on your face.
“No. No. No…” he said as a plea, his face pinched in pain and fear. This fear was new though. For the first time, it wasn’t fear for what would happen to him. It was fear for what would happen to you.
“Go...Steve needs you,” you encouraged. Steve needed Bucky more than you did. You couldn’t lie here uselessly while Tony was on the grief driven warpath.
“But you’re hurt...bad,” he replied, his eyes brimming with despair as they frantically looked onto you.
“I’ll be fine,” you assured. “Now go.”
He nodded before he let you go gently, then picked up the shield and dove at Tony. You were fading in and out of consciousness. But you suddenly heard a blast that was louder than the others. Gathering some strength you had left, you rolled on your side and began to pull yourself until you reached the edge of the platform-like area and looked down to see Bucky standing with his back to Tony, his left arm blown off, right before Tony blasted him again.
“No!” you shouted, the pain in your head still pounding as you laid there, useless and weary.
Steve launched up and ran forward at Tony. They continued to fight, each blow another blow to your heart. Bucky lay there, wounded and out of breath.
Tony blasted Steve’s stomach, forcing him to his knees.
“He’s my friend,” Steve said in defense.
“So was I,” Tony reminded before he landed a hard punch to his cheek. Tony battered Steve until he threw him between two rounded pieces of the construction. “Stay down, final warning.”
Steve stood up, his fists raised. “I could do this all day.”
Tony raised his blasters and you screamed for him to stop but he ignored you. Just as he was about to fire, Bucky grabbed his foot and tried to pull, but Tony landed a swift and terrible kick to Bucky’s face, a gut wrenching cry escaping his lips. The sight of that was more unbearable than you thought it could be.
You finally mustered strength and hobbled down to Bucky, each step down the ladder sending a new wave of pain over your body.
“Are you okay?” you asked, a fresh wave of tears coming.
He wasn’t moving though.
“Bucky?” you pleaded, cradling his head between your hands as Steve and Tony fought mercilessly. “Stop it! Stop it both of you!” you practically demanded as you turned to look at them, the sight making your chest tighter than ever.
But the pleas fell on deaf ears as they continued to wage war on each other, until Steve obliterated Tony’s face mask with the shield.
“Steve,” you began before he raised his shield again, ready to slam it down on Tony. “Steve!” you screamed so loud it made your throat hurt. But the shield landed on the heart of the suit, disabling it with a hard, effective blow.
In utter shock, you kneeled there open mouthed as Steve stood up to help Bucky up. The three of you started to walk away before Tony told Steve the shield didn’t belong to him, and he dropped it on the ground. The sound deafening your ears. You knew in your heart what that meant. He wasn’t just dropping a shield.
Steve started to help Bucky up the ladder as you gave a final look to your friend. He had moved to a kneeling position.
You walked over to him and knelt, the anger and betrayal clearly painted on his face.
“I’m sorry,” was all you said.
“Leave,” he ordered in a low voice, his eyes avoiding yours.
Without another word, you stood up, and the three of you left.
Hush, little darling
Jyn Erso was really not handling the whole ‘mum’ thing all that well.  (IE. the ‘single parent/hot neighbour’ au yall didn’t ask for but get anyway)
Read on AO3
Jyn Erso was really not handling the whole ‘mum’ thing all that well.
“She’s still crying! Why won’t she stop crying?” she asked desperately down the speakerphone.
Apparently, nothing good ever happened at 3am. Why was it always 3am? The squalling mess currently in her arms utterly refused to do as she was told, deciding that sleep was just not for her (and for no one else either, apparently). To top it all off, Jyn’s own mother was miles away, she was now on the verge of a mental breakdown and her entire building was going to start complaining soon since, swear to god, it sounded like a bloody cat being murdered up in here!
“Look, I know it seems like the demon hates you, but she’s just getting used to the world, ok?” Lyra told her patiently. “She’s only been in it for three months, give her some time.”
“Can’t you come back, Mum?” Jyn asked, not even caring at how her voice wavered. If there was ever a time she needed her mother, it was now, but she had been at her side the last several months and apparently now, it was time for Lyra to give Jyn the space she needed to find her feet.
Though naturally, her first night without her everything had to descend into chaos.
“You know I would, Jyn,” Lyra sighed. “You know I would.”
“Oh and great, she’s hiccuping too now,” Jyn noted as apparently, Mia still wasn’t happy with her predicament at all. “Mum, I’m literally at my wits end, I don’t know what to do! She’s eaten, but she won’t stop crying or go back to sleep at all, and I’m about to throw myself out the fucking window–”
“How about you try taking her for a walk?” Lyra suggested helplessly. “That’s what I always did when you were being fussy?”
Jyn just shook her head. “God, I bet you’re laughing now, aren’t you?”
Her mother actually had the gall to chuckle at her. “You are such a strong woman, Jyn,” she reminded her. “And you’re a great mother. I believe in you, ok? You go show that little girl of yours who’s boss.”
“Wait, don’t leave me!” Jyn cried, hastily.
“Jyn, it’s 3am. I love you and I love my granddaughter, but you’ve got this. Ok?”
She was about to cry herself, but she answered,
“… ok.”
She hung up the phone, not even caring that the force of it sent the device spinning off the arm of the chair she sat in, hitting the floor with a dull clunk. Jyn stared down at her tiny, crying offspring and tried to get a sense of love back into her. Damn it, she made this thing, she could bloody well get it to calm down!
“Did you hear what Grandma just said?” she told Mia. “I’m the boss. Ok?”
Mia just waved an angry fist at her. Naturally.
Screw it. It might’ve been the middle of the night, but Jyn still stood and bundled up Mia and herself until they were ready to brace England’s chill. She didn’t plan on going far at any rate, so it was relatively easy to just throw on a huge jacket over top of her ratty pyjamas. It wasn’t as if there was going to be anyone around to see her either, except for cats and potential serial killers and hey, if it was the latter, then maybe they’d be doing her favour in offing her?
“Seriously, if someone comes at me, you gotta run, ok?” Jyn said to the snuffling and whining lump that was currently zipped up under her jacket. Only the very top of Mia’s woolly hat could be seen and Jyn wrapped her arms protectively around her as she walked down the hall. “’cause let’s face it, I’m on my last legs here, I’ll be a fucking gonner. But you, my friend, you’ve got to fight! No one’s allowed to take you this early in your life.”
Mia gave a high-pitched whine as if to say, but Muuuuum, my legs are too little to run yet.
Jyn tsked. “Ok, fine. MAYBE I’ll run as well. But I won’t be happy about it.”
She walked them all the way down to the lobby of her building. The courtyard was usually empty, even during the day, save for the overflowing rubbish skips and broken patio furniture so it was probably the best place to take a baby that just wouldn’t calm down. She pushed open the door and together, they stepped out into the cold. Jyn shivered at the breeze that blew around her thin pyjama pants and she hugged Mia tighter to her chest.
“The things I do for you,” she muttered.
Honestly, she hadn’t asked for any of this. Ask anyone and they’d say that Jyn Erso was the last person in the world they’d ever expect to accidentally become a mother. But a lot of tequila and an ex showing up last minute at a friend’s birthday party roughly a year ago had led to some pretty poor choices on her account, and poor Bodhi had been the first person she’d called when she had finally figured out why she’d been so sick recently.
“OH MY GOD, YOU’RE DYING AREN’T YOU?” he had immediately insisted from the look on her face.
“Worse,” she’d said. “I’m pregnant.”
“… holy fuck,” Bodhi had said in astonishment.
Holy fuck had been about right.
But Jyn, never one to shy away from a challenge, had taken to it with gusto. She almost thought it was sheer determination to prove everyone wrong that made her throw herself so intensely into it. She had honestly cried for days after finding out. However, at the end of it, Jyn had found herself getting up from her Bed of Pain, wiping her eyes, and walking straight to the nearest baby shop. She’d ended up reading every goddamn pregnancy book that she could find. She’d forced herself to call up her ex and tell him (only to find out that he was apparently getting married in a month, so thankfully that phone call had been rather short). She’d begged Bodhi to come with her to every appointment and even worked up the courage to eventually tell her mother. The Erso’s did not do things lightly, and Jyn had no doubt that her daughter would be no different some day.
She was suddenly drawn up short when she realised that she wasn’t actually alone in the dark courtyard.
A man sat in one of the few chairs that wasn’t currently broken. She vaguely recognised him from living in the building at least, but she was brought to a complete stop at the unexpected company. He glanced around at the sudden entrance of a shrieking baby and she found herself blurting out,
“Sorry, I didn’t realise it got this crowded at three in the morning.”
The man looked utterly mortified. “I’m so sorry!” he was half out if his chair already. “Did you want to sit down? I can leave–”
“No, no, it’s fine!” Jyn reassured him, quickly. “Just so long as you don’t mind the screaming, I guess.”
“I don’t mind,” he said. When he noticed that she was aiming for another chair he was quick to leap up and pull it out for her. Jyn rolled her eyes a little, but still thanked him before sitting down.
Apparently, the change of scenery was enough of a jolt to shock Mia into calming and Jyn desperately encouraged her, stroking her head gently. It was several minutes before she even thought to be self-conscious.
“She won’t go back to sleep,” she explained when she noticed the man unable to stop watching.
“Right,” he nodded, politely. “Um, how old is she?”
“She’s been fucking my life up for about 3 months now,” Jyn answered. “Her name’s Mia.”
The man tried not to laugh too much. “That’s a nice name, how did you come up with it?”
HA, well, I watched The Princess Diaries one night while I was six months pregnant and got SUPER emotional about it?
“Yeah, um,” Jyn coughed. “It’s my mum’s name?”
Thankfully, the man had no idea that she was blatantly lying. He sat at the table next to her, apparently totally content to share the space with a baby and her still-in-a-constant-state-of-internally-screaming mother. May the lord be on her side though, since Mia was actually miraculously staying calm for now. She snuffled and was still alert, but she wasn’t crying anymore at least! Afraid to jinx it, Jyn tentatively stopped stroking and instead remained still.
“Oh, thank god,” she groaned, letting her head fall back in triumph.
The man laughed a little. “Finally quiet?”
“If I fall asleep here, would you do me a favour and get us a blanket?”
“Of course,” he said.
“You’re new, right?” Jyn asked. If she didn’t talk she really would fall asleep, and while the chill wasn’t too bad right now, she had a feeling that they would become human ice lollies by morning if they actually stayed out here too long. “I think I remember you moving in …”
“Yes, I’ve only been here a few months,” the man said.
“Right, probably around the same time that I looked like a beached whale,” she replied. “I’m Jyn, by the way.”
“Cassian,” he introduced himself. “Nice to meet you and the little one.”
“Ha, it’s all right, you don’t have to pretend,” Jyn snorted. “I know she’s got to be keeping the entire building awake.”
“I don’t hear her,” Cassian tried to reassure.
“You’re nice, but I know she’s got vocal cords like an air horn.”
As if on cue, that was about when Mia started fussing again. “No, noooo!” Jyn whined in utter horror. Despite her best efforts, Mia’s grizzling just slowly escalated into another full-blown crying fit. Did her daughter honestly hate her? She was starting to feel like she did at this point. She pressed a hand desperately to her eyes to try and force her own tears back because for god’s sake, she wasn’t about to cry in front of her new neighbour! Sure, she hadn’t slept for hours and she was slowly going insane, but she needed to maintain at least a little dignity here.
Apparently, Cassian felt sorry for her or something.
“Hey … I don’t know whether you’d want …” he began hesitantly. “Um, but I could try holding her maybe, if you think that could work or …?”
Jyn glanced back up, sniffing slightly. “Holy shit, would you?”
“Oh – only if you –”
“Because don’t just be saying that,” she warned. “You’ve offered up your services, I’m accepting, you can’t take it back!”
It seemed that Cassian hadn't quite thought the entire offer through, but he still gritted his teeth and held out his arms. It took a few moments to dig through all the layers of jackets and slings, but eventually Jyn was handing her baby over to who was essentially still a total stranger. He seemed a little wary, but he also cuddled Mia close in a way that told her that he’d definitely done this kind of thing before. Jyn offered him the blanket that Mia had been wrapped in, and he added it back around her, letting the baby rest her little head against his shoulder. They both watched with bated breath as amazingly … Mia stopped crying.
“It’s a miracle,” Jyn threw up her hands. “I hope you realise that this means you’re coming home with me now.”
Cassian spluttered a little and she immediately regretted the words. Blimey, didn’t she ever think before speaking? She normally wouldn’t get quite so embarrassed, but a rather attractive stranger was holding her baby at 3am, and the image was doing quite a lot of things to her that she was rather ashamed to admit.  “Sorry, I apparently make inappropriate jokes when I’m sleep deprived,” she hastily said, cheeks burning.
“It’s fine,” he answered, coughing slightly as he smiled at her.
Hoo boy, now THAT’S a smile.
“So go on,” she added. “You know why I’m out here, but why are you?
She was only trying to keep things light. Really! But she should have known that the topic was on the heavy side just from the sheer fact that he was sitting out here this early in the morning in the first place. She was really going all out on the personal mortification, wasn’t she? It was only a quick wince, but she noticed the look and regretted her question immediately. She almost took it back, but before she could, he said,
“I … don’t sleep very well.”
“Shit, I’m sorry,” Jyn blurted out. “I shouldn’t have asked, I didn’t mean –”
“No, no, it’s ok,” Cassian assured her. “You don’t get too many people awake at this time, after all.”
“Maybe we’ll have to talk again then, sometime,” Jyn mentioned. “You know, at a more reasonable hour.”
“Oh, reasonable hours are overrated,” Cassian shrugged. He glanced down at Mia then and added, “She’s quiet, that’s good right?”
“I’m honestly praying it stays that way,” she said. “Are you all right, I can take her back if you want–”
“I don’t mind–”
“Ok,” Jyn laughed a little at both their eagerness. It apparently hadn’t taken her long to find the hottest babysitter in all of England (not that she’d ever admit that, Bodhi would have a bloody field day). “Maybe you could walk her back up to my flat, then?”
“Of course.”
They made their way slowly, Cassian not wanting to jostle the now-nodding-off Mia too much and Jyn just lingering. They chatted their way up the stairs and down the hallways. She learned that Cassian had apparently moved to England five years ago and that a new job had brought him to the city. He apparently had a lot of nieces and nephews, which explained his ease at handling babies, and he in turn found out that the father of her baby wasn’t exactly around.
“Yeah, he knows but he’s not exactly bothered with her,” Jyn shrugged, just as they were reaching her floor. “I don’t really mind, I was even a little relieved to be honest.”
“If it helps,” Cassian put out there. “I think you’re doing a great job by yourself so far.”
Jyn scuffed her feet as she walked. “Thanks.”
By the time they reached her front door, she could barely see straight from tiredness. Thankfully, Mia had apparently finally worn herself out and was now sound asleep against Cassian’s shoulder. They carefully transferred her back over to Jyn’s arms and for a moment, they hovered uncertainly in the hallway. What was she even supposed to say after this?
“Thank you,” she decided to start with. “Honestly, you literally saved my arse.”
“It was no problem,” Cassian insisted. “I hope the rest of your night goes well.”
“Trust me, I am probably going to crash as soon as I hit my pillow. Sorry you had to see me at my worst crying, early morning meltdown stage,” She then suddenly felt the need to add, “Hey, but um … I was serious earlier. Hit me up if you ever want to hang out when I’m fully conscious, I know it sucks moving somewhere new and not knowing anyone.”
Cassian smiled and god help her, she felt it wedge its way into her chest and shiver down her spine.
“I’d like that.”
“I like him,” Jyn whispered to Mia later, once she had closed the door on Cassian. She settled the sleeping baby back in her cot as she added, “What d’you think, huh? My taste in men getting better or worse?”
Mia just let out a snorting breath.
“Yeah, that’s what I thought,” Jyn sighed. “God, I’m nuts. Love you, Insane Child.”
She was asleep within minutes of crawling into bed.
I'm happy too! *hugs* Since we both loves him and your req open, i'm gonna ask for him haha! A happy one, whatever the topic you can think of. Mayu deserves to be happy afterall ❤️❤️❤️
I’m sorry for the looong wait, but since it’s BAE, it has to be special and hell Yeaaah he deserves to be happy. So, I wrote just a part and if you like it i’ll continue it ( I didn’t want it to be just a short random one, i didn’t want it to be half assed, I hope you like it darling
                                           My ice prince (Part one):
Most of people end up showing their true colors, trueforms by time, they got betrayed by their body language or by their behavior,but sometimes you can meet a whole different kind of people, a kind that buildwalls around them to get separated from the others. You can’t tell what theythink, what they like, what they hate, these people are a real challenge evenfor someone who knows a lot psychology…
Since my first day at university, I noticed someonespecial, yeah he’s so special, during the whole class while all the studentswere introducing themselves, creating their own bands to hang with or justhaving silly chat, he was all alone, not interesting in anybody… HE WAS INHIS OWN WORLD
I approached him, asked if I could sit butsurprisingly I got not answer, I was totally ignored by him. At first, Ithought that I’ve done something to make him upset but I wasn’t the only oneignored, so many students that tried to be friends with him (especially girls)got ignored. In the next class, the teacher gave us projects and picked twostudents in each project, when he got to project “3”, while looking down at thestudents list, he asked: “ Where is Mayuzumi Chihiro”, the silver haired guyraised his hand,
“You’ll take the third project with...mmm let me seemm the girl setting next to you”
At these words, I felt so nervous I was happy but alittle bit stressed to be with him in this project:
“Let’s do our best” I said trying to break this coldatmosphere but I got a threatening glare in response, my whole world wasbreaking down, I got ignored by the same game twice in just 2 hours.
“At least it’s one project, I’ll make sure to not sitwith him again and I’ll be alright” I mumbled to myself when the teacherdragged me down:
“I forgot to tell you, I’ll be teaching you twocourses this year and the other course just like this, is done on project andthese are two main courses that you’ll be having in the two semesters of thisyear”
“Sensei, please tell me we’ll be having differentpartners in the other course” complained a girl
“I’m dreadfully sorry but you will keep your partnernot just in the other course but also during the second semester”
This teacher broke you down, how can he be so cruel!
You looked at Mayuzumi blinking, “So this guy is goingto be my partner during the whole year?”
This is how things started with this ice prince…
I think that this surname fits him, he’s cold andunbreakable from the outside just like an ice and he’s handsome and charmingjust like a prince in some old tales. Well he’s no fun to be honest, he doeshis work very well but he’s awfully quiet and the time you spent with him inthe library preparing those projects is the most boring and tiresome part ofyour student life.
No, you never intended to spend your student life likethis, you expected something more active, like hanging out with friends, go toparties, enjoying events together but you found yourself just observing thismysterious guy and trying to read him, he awakened your curiosity.
These beautiful empty eyes of him, you knew that thoseempty eyes has some dark background, you knew that this cold guy had some storybehind and that this iceberg was broken from inside…. And here somethingstrange awoke in you, you can’t really describe this feeling but it was amixture of nostalgia, curiosity, compassion and maybe more but as said youcan’t describe it. All you know is that you wanted to hug him, to take care ofhim and to make his days better, and why not draw a smile on his stunning face.
What is this feeling?
Before you could even react you were all drown in him,the love’s waves have already taken you so far away, now you’re swimming in desireand passion for this guy, No you’re sinking in his eyes.
It hurts that he already noticed but didn’t react butyou already knew that he wouldn’t let you in so easily, if he was that easythen maybe you wouldn’t fall for him.
“Mom did you bring me that book that asked you about?”
“Darling why are so much interested in psychology”
“I just want to know, to read people”
“Ahha believe me, it’s exhausting, I work as apsychologist and that’s my opinion, sometimes you find yourself analyzingpeople without realizing”
“Mom did you bring it or not?”
“Mmmm it has like 1200 pages, do you still want it?”
“Where is it?”
“It’s funny what girls nowadays can do for the sake oftheir love”
You blushed: “No I said that I just want to know, it’snot about my love or anything”
“Of course, it’s on my desk” she said amused at thisawkward situation
“Yosh, maybe with this, I can learn more about youChihiro”
Reading people was always a piece of cake to you, yourmother is a psychologist so she taught a lot about psychology, in addition,you’ve always read thousands of psychology’s books but there was one person youcouldn’t read. HIM
Tomorrow:
It’s another day and you had to go to university asalways, you entered the room and spotted Mayuzumi sitting in the back.
“Ohayooo chihiro” you said in enthusiasm
Your response was silence with a bonus (deathly glare)
“I mean Mayuzumi kun”
“Kun” he raised an eyebrow
“Oooooh alright, Mayuzumi san, are you happy now?”
He went back to his light novel but as you arrived inthe table, he let you pass and that made you so happy, that’s a big progressyou’ve made. Yeah, before, he used to tell you to sit somewhere else becauseyou’re disturbing his quiet days but as time passes, and as persistent youwere, he let you in now without comments. And of course, you learnt to keepquiet especially if he has a book in hands, you learnt that you have to respecthis private space but today, you feel like you want to take another step andtake this relationship to a higher level.
“Mayuzumi san, are you free today?”
Silence…
You scratched your back head, you were thinking of away to distract him from his book before the teacher came in:
“I have an idea” you mumbled
You took a sheet of paper and wrote down:
“Are you free today? I want to go somewhere”
You passed him the note, but he was still reading. Yousighed thinking that it was a failure, but when he was about to turn the page,he took his pen and started to write. You felt so excited, your eyes weresparkling until you read his response:
“Go whatever you want Koroshi, what does it have to dowith me?”
You put your head on the table, wondering why did youfall for him?
When you raised your head, you caused the note to flyaway in another student’s direction, he picked it up and read it but you didn’tnotice, you were too busy with coming up with a new method to make him acceptyou.
When classes were over, Mayuzumi was ready to leavebut you were still sitting there and looking at him and of course, you couldn’tcome up with anything:
You’re spending the rest of the day ALL ALONE
That fact hurt you, you were feeling a littlepathetic. When Mayuzumi started walking away, a student showed up in front ofyou, he had a shining smile on his face:
“I’m free” he said as he showed you the note
You were shocked, how did the note got to him andbefore you asked, he added:
“This note came to me by coincidence, I think thatit’s our destiny to meet each other”
You werethinking of a proper response when someone else gave him one:
“It’s our destiny to meet each other, where do youthink you are? a movie scene? A romance book? You’re so pathetic”
It was Mayuzmi, you were so pissed off this time, herefused your invitation in the worst way and now he’s pushing off this poorguy, so you decided to do something that you will probably regret later, butnow you’re too proud to step back.
“Why is it pathetic? Who knows maybe it’s destiny”
His eyes were wide open at your words and that madeyou realize that he didn’t expect you to say a word. He turned to the door’sdirection and left.
“So were shall we go? Movies, arcade games? Karaoke?”he was about to add one more suggestion when you cut him off
“I’m sorry but I love someone else”
He laughed: “Someone else, this Mayuzumi, I didn’teven know that he exists, how could you like some crap like him?” he wasmocking you and disrespecting Mayuzumi
You sighed and arranged your hair with your hands, hewas waiting for you answer, to say anything but you just turned to the doordirection and left while mumbling to yourself:
“After all, Chihiro is right to act this way in aworld messed up like this, I can’t blame him” You were adapting the same attitude as him...
When got out of the room, you found him there, restingagainst the wall.
Astonished was the least that we could say:
“Mayuzumi san what are you doing here?”
He looked at you, his empty grey eyes fixed on you, itwas too intense and that could drive you crazy.
“You disappointed me, is this the kind of guy youlike?”
You caressed you hair with your hand, feeling likeyour forces were abandoning your body but your mouth was still on:
“Don’t be dumb, you already know what kind of guys Ilike, no you actually know the only guy I like, don’t you?”
He sighed, looked away and then left you there in thecorridor alone.
What does it mean ?
Quick Recap of The Force Awakens:
Ahch-To is let at last! (meaning: occupied)
Do not you want to know who has taken it?
Skywalker. (Mr. Bingley)
Tumblr media
He is a Jedi Master to be sure!
It is a fine thing for our Star Wars characters.
How so, you ask?
My dear Star Wars fans, you must know that I am thinking one of them must be his new padawan!
And if he must train one of them, I must throw in a good word for lil Rey (Elizabeth). She has something more of a quickness about her.
Tumblr media
*Epic Flashback*
At Starkiller Base (the grand assembly) Kylo Ren (Mr. Darcy) is encouraged to read (dance) Rey’s mind for the map (to find a pleasant girl). But, honestly, he really doesn’t want to…it gives him no pleasure.
Tumblr media
It’s probably true…she’s just a scavenger…(country girl with crazy family).
When he uses his Force power, and she meets his probe (eyes) with her own, he withdraws. Rather rudely.
Tumblr media
Needless to say, Rey remained with no very cordial feelings towards him.
However, later on, after escaping, and besting his call to the Skywalker lightsaber, Kylo Ren begins to admire Rey.
His doing so drew her notice.
Tumblr media
Therefore Kylo Ren finds himself presented a very desirable padawan (dance partner). He cannot refuse to be her teacher (dance), when so much beauty is before him.
Tumblr media
But, of course, Rey refuses.
Tumblr media
*Jumping to Episode 8*
Luke Skywalker is a very pleasant fellow indeed!
Tumblr media
It’s clear he’s really developed a thing for the lovely First Jedi Temple (Jane). They spend a lot of time together. He never wants to leave her, er, I mean the Temple.
So, anyhow, it rains a lot on Ahch-To. Rey’s really fond of walking. So she decides she better go check on the poor ole leaky First Jedi Temple (sick Jane). ‘Cause Rey is good at fixing things, bypass skills are very handy.
Turns out, poor ole leaky First Jedi Temple (sick Jane) is ok. Luke is thrilled that it’s raining and he’s stuck in the Temple. Rey’s ok with it, until she realizes there’s another visitor lurking around.
Tumblr media
Argh, he is a most disagreeable, horrid man! But apparently Jedi Temples are like neutral, nonpartisan, sanctuary zones. Everyone’s going to have to get along…er, skate around snarky comments.
Tumblr media
It makes for several stir-crazy days together…Rey starts walking, aimlessly, around the room. Kylo Ren starts hate-flirting with her.
Tumblr media
When it stops raining, everything just gets worse….
Stormtroopers (militia unit) arrive on Ahch-To!
And a very, very, very distant relation of Rey’s comes to stay for a week…
Tumblr media
Yeah, Rey should be happy to see her cousin and all, but he stinks. No really, “Mr. Collins the Hutt” is an odious bore. He talks about his patron, Snoke (Lady Catherine), day and night. But rumor has it, Snoke stinks, too.
And, to add insult to injury, it turns out, Mr. Collins the Hutt is going to inherit the deed to Ahch-To. What? No! Argh, Hutts and their properties…it’s just like Star Wars: Monopoly.
Anyhow, he really wants to move into the First Jedi Temple. But once he sees how the First Jedi Temple is already spoken for by Luke, and how committed Luke is, Mr. Collins the Hutt comes up with a new plan:
If Rey marries him, they can all happily stay on Ahch-To and Luke can remain with the First Jedi Temple.
Tumblr media
What??? But they are cousins you cry!
Indeed. So, Rey does the only sensible thing. She tries to avoid Mr. Collins the Hutt by doing lots of walking. Those stairs are a great workout. And Hutts are slow.
On one of these particular walks, Rey meets a delightful young officer. General Armitage “Wickham” Hux is, seemingly, a perfect gentleman and very handsome in uniform.
Tumblr media
While Rey and General Armitage “Wickham” Hux are talking, they cross paths with Luke and Kylo Ren on the stairs. Luke, of course, is very good humoured. However, Kylo Ren almost growls at Hux, and marches off to throw a tantrum.
Tumblr media
Rey knew Kylo Ren was horrid and all, but she is shocked by his rudeness.
Later, Hux explains that he brings out the worse in Kylo Ren, cause Kylo Ren is so jealous of him. The Supreme Leader (father) likes Hux best and Kylo Ren can’t stand it. Although Kylo Ren should be grateful that he has the Force (large estate, money) and is in an arranged engagement to the Supreme Leader’s (Lady Catherine’s) daughter, Captain Phasma…Kylo Ren is just a hateful person who screwed up Hux’s raise (living). Rey feels sorry for Hux.
Meanwhile, Luke decides, as a neutral, nonpartisan Jedi, to throw a party and invite all the Stormtroopers (militia) on Ahch-To. It turns out to the social event of the year. Rey, of course, is forced to be polite and dance with Mr. Collins the Hutt…even though she really wanted Hux to ask her to dance.
Strangely enough, Kylo Ren, who really hates dancing, comes to claim Rey’s hand.
Tumblr media
Rey is so shocked, she accepts, but quickly decides to tease him about everything Hux told her. The effect on Kylo Ren is immediate. Such distain. She accuses him of being prejudice. Hux, after all, is just a poor, innocent officer trying to make his way in the galaxy...
The dance ends. Ren exits the room knowing Rey is full of her own pride.
However, Rey finds herself out of the fire and into the frying pan when Mr. Collins the Hutt decides to “formally” propose marriage to her.
Tumblr media
But apparently Mr. Collins the Hutt thinks she’s playing hard to get…
What say you, Star Wars fans? Trash shippers will never forgive her if she doesn’t marry Mr. Collins the Hutt, the rest will never forgive her if she does….
Thankfully, Mr. Collins the Hutt takes a hint. He can tell Rey’s mad, and he doesn’t want to end up like Jabba or anything. So he leaves. And in a shocking turn-of-events, he suddenly marries Rey’s friend, Maz Kanata (Charlotte). Odd, yes. But Maz never wanted to be an old maid. And she can’t wait on Chewie FOREVER. So long as she’s happy, I guess.
Tumblr media
Without warning, Luke decides to take Kylo Ren’s advice and spend some time away from the First Jedi Temple. What? Out of the blue?
Tumblr media
Ahch-To is turning topsy-turvy! Rey feels some time away from the stir-crazy island will do her some good, too. Therefore, she flies to see the newly married Maz Kanata-the Hutt at Mr. Collins the Hutt’s humble home on Naboo. Maz is now technically her distant cousin-in-law and all.
Tumblr media
However, you can’t simply visit the Hutts without making a visit to the home of their neighbor and patron, Supreme Leader Snoke (Lady Catherine). That’s just rude. So, Rey accompanies them to meet Snoke and Phasma. Argh, boring. Snoke talks and talks non-stop about how him and Phasma are so great, and how weird Rey seems. How negligent her parents were (duh).
Tumblr media
Then Kylo Ren shows up!
Tumblr media
Ahhh! It’s like Kylo Ren is following her or something! Now she’s going to have to put up with him the whole visit.
Oh my. Can things get any worse? Yup.
One day Kylo Ren suddenly shows up on the Hutts’ doorstep. For some strange reason, Maz and Mr. Collins the Hutt rush out of the room to give Ren and Rey time alone. Awkward.
Tumblr media
Pretty soon, Rey can’t escape Kylo Ren anywhere. He’s always showing up at Hutts’ home or at Snoke’s or wherever she’s walking. People keep leaving them alone. They have to make weird, but oddly flirty conversation.
Tumblr media
In the meantime, Rey gets a holo (letter) from Luke about his new adventures. He’s decided never to return to Ahch-To again. Luke claims Kylo Ren was right, the First Jedi Temple just isn’t giving him visions anymore. Maybe he needs a new temple or try Darth Vader’s helmet (Georgiana Darcy) for a while. Oh, and he wants her to know that Hux is a total flirt and has been seen ‘round with another wealthy officer.
Oo! Rey feels the anger flowing through her. She doesn’t even care what Hux does. But Kylo Ren? He’s messed everything up! The plan was set! Luke was going to stay with the First Jedi Temple, and Rey was going to learn the ways of the Force. Not only is Kylo Ren horrid, he’s also completely meddlesome!
Just when she wants to be alone to fume, Ren shows up again. He’s got a question to pop.
Tumblr media
Say what?? When she has every right to think ill of him?? He wants to marry her and be her teacher?? Argh!
Tumblr media
Ren is astonished. I mean, he did just tell Rey he loved her…some men just wait and tell the lady “I know.” I mean what does Rey want? For him to rejoice in the inferiority of the Resistance? That they’re on opposite sides?
Tumblr media
Ren leaves ashamed of his feelings. Rey is vexed.
Tumblr media
Next day, Ren sends Rey a holo, promising it’s not another join me, marry me, or be my padawan proposal. Instead, he wishes to tell his side of the story in regards to Luke and General Hux.
It was Ren’s observation that, although Luke felt at home with the First Jedi Temple, the First Jedi Temple had no peculiar regard for his Force power. The First Jedi Temple didn’t give Luke any extra special powers or visions. Ren, however, admits that he might have been too hastily, and the First Jedi Temple could potentially make Luke both powerful and content.
Tumblr media
As for Hux, the man was given several raises, all of which he gambled away in Sabacc games. When his next raise was denied, Hux stole Darth Vader’s helmet (Georgiana Darcy) and made Ren pay ransom to get it back all safe and sacred. Ask anyone.
Huh. Well maybe Rey only knew the truth-from-a-certain-point-of-view. Oh bother. Maybe they were both wrong. She starts to feel kinda bad about it.
Needing a distraction, Rey decides to visit the Lake Country of Naboo. Varykino is, apparently, a must-see estate. Didn’t something historic happen there? Oh well, that’s what tour guides are for.
Tumblr media
So she gets there and the tour guide explains that Varykino is still owned by the Skywalker-Solo family. In fact Padme and Anakin Skywalker were secretly wed at Varykino. Rey is fascinated. It’s a beautiful place. To think, her and Kylo Ren could have been married at Varykino, too. Then the tour guide gushes about how Kylo Ren is a really kind Master. Rey wants to sigh. She could have been his padawan. Could have been Mrs. Rey Forgot-My-Last-Name-Ren-Solo. Ah, regrets.
On the way out, she thinks maybe she’ll check out the flowers in bloom. That’s when she sees him…Kylo Ren is actually here! *Shock* Rey blushes. He walks over and speaks to her, completely gentle and kind. It’s clear he’s delighted to see her, too. And, is still very much in love with her.
Tumblr media
Kylo Ren politely invites her on a behind-the-scenes-tour of his super secret Anakin Skywalker collection. He’s eager for her to see Darth Vader’s helmet (Georgiana Darcy). He also informs her that Luke is on Naboo and he’s planning to return to the First Jedi Temple right away.
Rey is thrilled. This is turning out to be the best day ever.
Until a holo suddenly informs them: Hux has stolen the Skywalker lightsaber (Lydia) from Ahch-To!! If they want it to remain whole, Hux is going need some ransom money, asap.
Tumblr media
But Rey doesn’t have any money! This is terrible! Worst day ever!
Kylo Ren rushes off. Rey is beside herself with grief. She returns to Ahch-To, hoping to find comfort with the First Jedi Temple (Jane). This has ruined her life as a padawan. No one will ever respect her as a Jedi with a blotched lightsaber.
Then another holo arrives: Hux has accepted a mysterious amount of ransom money for the lightsaber. It isn’t broke into bits. Thank the maker!
What’s more, Luke returns to the First Jedi Temple. He proclaims he will dwell there forever. Yay, happily-ever-after.
When Rey places her hand on the newly-returned Skywalker lightsaber she receives a Force vision: Kylo Ren paying Hux off for Rey’s happiness. Kylo Ren to the rescue. He completely saved her reputation…wow.
Tumblr media
Well, everything goes back to normal. Luke’s at the First Jedi Temple. Rey studies daily. Until, one night, Snoke (Lady Catherine) arrives out-of-the-blue. He demands to see Rey.
Tumblr media
It seems Snoke has finally gotten wind of the rumor that Kylo Ren has the hots for Rey, and he loves her, and asked her to marry him, even though he’s in an arranged engagement to Snoke’s daughter, Phasma. Snoke wants Rey to promise that she won’t secretly wed Kylo Ren. Pff. Rey fights back and takes care of Snoke, Star-Wars style. Bye bye, Snoke.
Next morning, a holo arrives from Mr. Collins the Hutt. It congratulates Rey on taking down Snoke and her engagement and forthcoming marriage to Kylo Ren. Huh? That’s very interesting…
Unsurprisingly, Kylo Ren returns to Ahch-to. He accompanies Rey on her morning walk. He confesses that he did pay off Hux, so the lightsaber could return to her in one piece. He did everything for her happiness and still loves her.
Tumblr media
Much to the surprise of the galaxy (everyone thought they hated each other) Rey and Kylo Ren are wed.
Tumblr media
To this day, Rey still teases Ben about how and why he fell in love with her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The End.
Paper代写:Science Can Inform Our Values
本篇paper代写- Science Can Inform Our Values讨论了科学与价值观。人类的价值观与科学的进步和发展息息相关。科学之所以存在和发展,原因在于同情、尊重人、致力于诚信和道德实践、致力于追求卓越,也体现在人类价值观中的医疗公正。很多事实都证明科学可以告诉我们价值观。本篇paper代写由51due代写平台整理,供大家参考阅读。
Can science inform human values? The answer is positive. Science definitely sheds light on our values. Generally speaking, human values includes compassion, respect for persons, commitment to integrity and ethical practice, commitment to excellence, and justice in healthcare. Taking commitment to excellence for example, human spare no effort in pursuing a better life probably out of the fast-developing science. The invention of Internet has brought people closer all over the world, so those living in less developed regions may have a chance to see the life standard they have dreamed of, which turns into a strong desire for excellence and then values come into being. My argument may be developed on the account of several aspects of human values mentioned above.
Firstly, I want to discuss how science would account for compassion. At first glance, most of people think they have been educated to possess compassion for others, such as the poor, the old and the disabled. It seems a great result of humanistic education, and has nothing to do with science. What is more, the emergence of violent video games, driven by science for sure, push teenagers further from a mercy heart. Nevertheless, they are not all about science. If we look at a bigger picture, science is much greater than they thought. While seeing the scenes of refugees from Africa or Syria fleeing away and becoming homeless due to wars on TV or Internet, people could not be without shock and astonishment by virtue of such a scientific technology, and compassion is strengthened in their mind. They start to cherish things and people around them, as well as care for disadvantage groups.
Recently, an extreme scientific research lends a support to my idea. Meditation technique is used to show that it might be possible. The research is published in the journal Psychological Science.
“Compassionate Meditation” by focusing on a specific person while repeating a phrase like, “May you be free from suffering.” The subjects concentrated on five different people: A loved one, a friend, themselves, a stranger and then someone they were in conflict with.
Another group of subjects performed general positive thinking. Both groups did the exercise
30 minutes a day for two weeks. Finally, finding show that they are more compassionate than before.
When it comes respect for others, science could be a fair explanation. A typical example is while writing a scientific paper, scholars may find a lot of reference to help with their research, in which three are some cutting-edge technologies as well as advanced ideas they can learn from. Then why do they need to add the list of reference at the end of the paper? That is to show respect for peers and for their achievement. Respecting facts and peers is the core spirit of science. Nothing can be achieved without this philosophy. On the other hand, science is strict. Any plagiarism or copy without permission is not allowed. Science requires us to respect others and achievement of other scholars, which are spread out as universal values. What is more, science discloses respect for others all the time. Image you are a professor and just finish a project. You would thank your assistant, your students and those technicians who work in the laboratory for their painstaking efforts to make your concept come true. That is exactly kind of values the majority of scholars may uphold. Naturally your students will inherit these values. Although it is confined to academic circles, when students graduate from colleges, they may bring such a spirit to work. I believe students like this will be highly appreciated by the company which hires them, and are more likely to stand out among peers.
Commitment to integrity and ethical practice is the fundamental requirement of science, the cornerstone of scientific moral and the critical factor of scientific survival and development. On the contrary, science symbolizes integrity and ethical practice. Whenever we speak of scientists, the first thing that comes to our mind is their integrity and ethical practice. Yet recently there are some negative testimonials in various sections from project application, funds receiving, achievement assessment to paper publishing and in all kinds of personnel, from common researchers, leaders, even to distinguished scientists. Scientific misconducts are always related to interest community, making it very complicated and complex, and is less likely to be found and punished. Like Huang Woo-suk, the father of South Korean Cloning, was suspicious of publishing a paper on the global renowned Journal of Science with fake data. He made up these data to complete an extraordinary paper, by which he hoped to win the Nobel Prize for Chemistry. His practices is obviously opposite to integrity and ethical standard. Actually, his values had changed to Benthamism and was totally wrong, and he may do whatever he can to achieve his goal. What a shame! However, the case like this is never alone. The tobacco company is trying to deny the harm of smoking, or the pharmaceutical company attempts to exaggerate the effect of drugs. All these happened because their values are misled, which are not allowed in the area of science. In another word. Science is the outward manifestation of integrity and ethical practice. Independence, objectiveness and fairness are connotation of science, and are also requirement for people, scholars and researchers in particular. Science is sure to inform integrity and ethical practice, and thus values. This is a truth that everybody may accept it universally.
Pursuit of excellence is normally an intrinsic requirement or request of science. Normal trains can only run at about 100 miles per hour while high speed bullet trains can ramp up to 250 miles per hour. The purpose is to meet the increasing demand of people who want to spend as less as time on the way. Just as the saying goes, “where there is a demand there is a market”. Scientists’ struggle to be innovative, forge ahead and keep moving motivates the development of science and become a part of human values. The Invention of Internet
has brought people closer all over the world, so those living in less developed regions may have a chance to see the life standard they have dreamed of, which turns into a strong desire for excellence and then values come into being. Despite pursuit of excellence is merely one of the most important of existing human values. Human’s seek for excellence not just focus on life standard, and is shown in sports activities. Athletes wants to run faster, jump higher and throw further, exactly their values once they are engaged in the area. That is why global leading sports goods companies such as Nike and Adidas keep developing sportswear with latest techniques to reduce the air friction and help them extend their bodies. The record will be renewed time and time again while athletes’ spirt never dies with the assistance of scientific progress. Science again proves it can account for human values.
Justice in healthcare is one of human basic rights. That is why the medical industry develops millions of new drugs every year. That is why UN sent several groups of medical assistance to Africa, help people there cure all sorts of difficult miscellaneous diseases. The continuous development of medical science technologies promotes the transform of medical service formats. Facing different diseases, medical workers, including doctors and nursing workers, are aware of the transformation of medical service concept, playing a key role in correct diagnoses and fair treatment of clinical works. World Health Organization argues that human health not only refers to no presence of sickness or feeble phenomena but also a perfect status the mental, the physiological and social happiness. People’s chase for this phase bases on scientific advance and they count on it. In the human society, namely the democratic constitutionalism, the government may strive to educate the public with a higher ability of identifying self-profits by continuously strengthening it. However, common people cannot act like doctors to provide professional assistance. For example, if there is no community doctor, family doctor or insurance company, it is impossible to let the patent become a doctor to judge whether the treatment he/she receives is appropriate, credible or fair. This is associate with human inner values and science makes in come true.
To sum up, human values are closely related to scientific advances and development. As I analyzed above, compassion, respect for persons, commitment to integrity and ethical practice, commitment to excellence, and justice in healthcare represented in human values are the reasons why science exists and develops. There is no reason to deny that science can inform our values.
