We were fortunate enough to catch the premiere of @misteramericafilm at @beyondfest and witness what very much is a This Is Spinal Tap for municipal level politics. Tim Heidecker is in peak mischievous form with this faux campaign for D.A. set in the real world (and in the #OnCinema universe). Mister America very much feels like a satisfying feature length Nathan For You scheme (and somehow, apparently, was shot in 3 days). It’s definitely worth a watch (especially as it’s political satire than manages to not be about Trump) and it just so happens to be in theaters right now.
