This makes me remember how I played the majority of AC1 not knowing Altaïr can fucking vault.

Like the first time I accidentally did that, I was like “wait, what???” and I just spent like 10ish minutes (I think) trying to figure out how the hell I did that.

“Ah, yes, yes. You would recover from those muscle aches in time.” The dottore noted as he looked over Ezio, nodding to himself as he added, “Yes, someone of your age must take care not to strain your muscles too much. Medicines will be ineffective, I’m afraid.”

Ezio looked at the sky with a deadpan expression on his face, ignoring how this was the second doctor to have talked about how medicine wouldn’t work for someone his ‘age’.

“Here. It will dull the pain and make you forget the ache.” The dottore gave Ezio the same medicine he always got and he drank it immediately. The dottore stared at him for a moment before handing him another bottle without saying anything about it, only continuing their ‘conversation’ as Ezio pocketed the medicine, “If I may ask, messere, what have you done for you to be in such a state?”

Ezio glanced at his horse who was standing pretty a few feet away from them then to the sky where Desmond is strangely quiet before turning to stare at the dottore to reply, “A friend of mine kept asking me to ‘do a backflip’.”

“Ah, and you cannot say no to this ‘friend’ of yours?”

Ezio’s deadpan stare seemed to move pass the dottore and straight to the Animus’ camera which he shouldn’t even know about as he said, “No.”

“... I see…”

“Desmond…” 

There was a hint of resignation in the tone that Desmond ignored.

“Desmond…”

Resignation has been replaced by annoyance but Desmond ignored that as well.

“Desmond.”

Annoyance left his name, leaving nothing but a warning that Desmond ignored as well.

“Desmond.”

Finally, the growl that left Altaïr’s lips that bordered in growing anger was the note that finally forced Desmond to stop.

“I do not understand why you can’t figure out how to make me vault.” Altaïr commented as he rubbed the bridge of his nose, “You managed to do it fifteen minutes ago.”

“I know!” Desmond exclaimed, the frustration clear in his own tone as he explained, “And I have no freaking idea how I did it! That’s why I’m trying out all the buttons!”

“Do we have to do this here?” Altaïr hissed.

“Yes! That box is the perfect height for you to vault!”

“Desmond…” Altaïr covered his face, ignoring the people shamelessly staring at them, “We’re in the middle of the village… in Masyaf.”

“Would you rather be in Acre or Damascus? With all those strangers???”

“Yes, I would actually prefer that. At least there, people won’t know it was me and remember it was me for years to come!” Altaïr argued as he glared at his shadow, a habit he had taken up on whenever he wished to glare at Desmond but knew he did not exist in the same plane as him. Glaring at the sky felt a bit… too much so he just glared at his shadow instead.

“So the rumors are true. You’ve finally lost it.” 

Both Altaïr and Desmond sighed at the same time.

“You know…” Desmond paused for a moment before he suggested, “I don’t think Al Mualim would punish you any more than he already has if we beat the crap out of him?”

Altaïr thought about it for a moment before nodding in agreement, “If I get hit even once by Abbas, I will find a way to journey to your time and show you how I truly fight.”

“Hey, if you can take out the assholes keeping me here, I’ll spar with you all day.” Desmond agreed before adding, “But first…”

Altaïr jumped on the box once more and he hissed as the flush of his face deepened in embarrassment, “Desmond!”

“Sorry! I thought I got it this time!”

Placing my early bets on Aegon's Conquest:

They'll find a way to villainize the Martells/Dornish for not immediately bending the knee/killing Rhaenys and Meraxes/resisting the Targaryens. The attack on Dorne will be justified because they had the nerve to refuse the Targaryen rule and then later kill a woman that threatened and came to kill them.

Or.

There'll be a few of them (young and beautiful) that will desperately try to convince the old, ugly, overweight Meria Martell that she should bend the knee because they'll be so in awe of these God-like Targaryens, but she'll refuse them because she's a cruel woman who doesn't understand that Aegon had a dream to save the world!1!1!1!1 and that it's of utmost importance that he also take the throne from her/her family.

Every creature movie I am always begging and crying to be able to see the creature.

Nope delivered.

Miss me with that "split-second glimpse in the corner of the screen" and "blurry shaky-cam in a dark room". That is absolute crud for anyone who isn't there for/doesn't get any adrenaline pounding and just wants to see a cool Creachure.

Nope is here giving me several long minutes at a time, multiple times, close up high-def full-frame no jitter of Jean Jacket. Actual naturalistic behaviour and not stupidly villainous for no reason. Creative anatomy, movement, interaction, and action that makes sense for both it and the movie's themes. It doesn't look like an earth animal, let alone a human in a suit! A predator that ACTS LIKE A PREDATOR!! Not wasting energy all over the place or anything! Nor does it act like a dog!!!!!!

Tried making a colour reference for Sueño and well:

The top of his shirt is meant to be gold fading into yellow but idk if it even came off that way. And I did the best I could to have his hair pattern like this one below: 😭

But sure whatever.

I made the tip of his cape pointed and white so that it appears like the tail of a shooting star whenever he’s flying fast.

And another design-colour thing to mention is the green bands on his wrists. Those aren’t his. They’re from his enchantment of being unable to return back to the sky. I guess you can see it as a reference to Genie and his golden armbands that chain him down.

I might make the colour references for Asha and the villain couple next. :))

hello World ^_^

it has been some time since ive been here (i finally got into my biology course) and after a year of working full time at a shitty bakery/cafe i was tired of everything (and was terrified id fail 1st year (again)) so i had neglected this blog.

i hope to be back this year and maybe perhaps ill post more

so lets do a quick update of where ive been:

-i went to many concerts, my favs being Ethel Cain opening for boygenius, Yves Tumor, and CMAT (everyone go listen to CMAT)

-i went to london and chicago in September. the museums were rlly cool in both (Tate modern and MOCA Chicago my beloved) and both were insufferably warm. Chicago was also infested with dragon flies which was. interesting.

-ive been crocheting a lot, tunisian crochet being my favourite. i might post some of the stuff ive made if i remember to

-i grew a successful crop of Oca! they taste like very floury potatoes

-my fav albums of 2023 were 001011 by Salvia, Praise A Lord Who Chews... by Yves Tumor, Nymph_o by Shygirl, Desire, I Want To Turn Into You by Caroline Polachek, and Crazymad, For Me by CMAT (seriously go listen to her, shes the best country pop act of our lifetime)

-my top artists this year were Yves Tumor, Caroline Polachek, Björk, Fiona Apple, and Ethel Cain

Now, for the resolutions for the new year:

-when i see a fruit ive never seen before i will eat it

-get back on tumblr

-draw better

-take more photos of myself

-suck more dick

-get a tattoo

-get my bridge pierced

-bleach my brows

-wear makeup

-watch every Studio Ghibli film + Satoshi Kon film i can find (ive never actually watched a studio ghibli film all the way through)

-read all the books left in my pile (im reading House Of Leaves rn (going very slow), ive got The Dispossessed by Le Guin, Daisy Miller + The Turning Of The Screw by Henry James, Invitation To A Beheading by Nabokov, Liarmouth by John Waters, and a compilation of short stories by Poe)

-finish the ep im working on (and also the album maybe)

I hope to do monthly updates on these to see how im doing and if i can get them done

Im looking forward to what 2024 brings (ethel cain is coming to Dublin im buzzing) and what i will do with the year

theres some asks in my inbox that ill try to get to later, but for now
