Haven't made a single original post so far so... These are my cats!

The floofy and regal looking baby lady on the steps is Magic (short for Black Magic Woman) aka Lady aka Baby Lady aka Beautiful Lady aka Little Lady aka My Lady Love. The slim boy with big eyes pushing toward my camera is her brother, Paint (short for Paint It Black), aka Pib aka Pibbers aka My Baby Boy aka Handsome Boy aka Himb Face. They are very sweet, very loving, very lovely babies we rescued in January this year.

They are now officially about a year and some change old. This is them when they arrived.

The story of how we got them is honestly funny but also long as hekk so if you wanna know, I'll reblog with the story.

They are a wonderful fantastic lovely surprise gift from the universe and I am eternally grateful.

honorable mention, our roommates cat who we helped raise from kittenhood (also a rescue) - his name is Koi, he's just over 2 years old now and he is a right bastard that we all absolutely adore.

I can't help but to feel really bad for the new kitten my parents got because I know she's gonna get so scared when my parents fight and he quite literally used to harass pibbers when he was drunk :( but pibbers wasn't a kitten he was older when he came to our door.... she's tiny

lemme tell you about IB... I'm a senior in the diploma program rn, and let me just start by saying that if you don't plan on doing the diploma don't even bother taking IB courses, because the diploma's internationally recognized and the only reason to do it. well that and the fact that basically everyone that does IB (that I know) thinks college isn't that hard comparatively, like they don't get that huge shock because the course work is so much more difficult. basically with IB you take (1)

courses, a math, first language, second language, science, a philosophy/history type (at my school), art (like theatre or visual art where I'm at). basically none of your classwork matters. up to 80% of your final grade is determined by the exams you take at the end of your second year in may--you're tested over everything you've learned. the other big chunk of your grade is these things called IA's, or internal assessments, which is basically a hella long research paper in each class (2) 

like even in math it's hell tbqh. even if homework and stuff doesn't count towards your ib diploma it still counts for your high school one, so you've still got to do all that work. the biggest difference, though, is that in ap you're taught lots of facts and memorization. with ib, you're taught to think critically and form complex ideas--and this isn't me knocking on ap. lots of grads of my school have talked to me about this, it's one of the reasons i chose the program (3)

the grades are also on a 1-7 scale, with 4+ being passing. a 5 is the average grade and a 7 is next to impossible to get. if you get a 4, your gpa is automatically a 4.0 so that's nice. senior year is fucking hard in ib. if you want to be able to have a regular, chill sr year don't do this program. all of the internal assessments ramp up and you're studying like crazy for exams while still trying to make time for college essays. it does give ya good time management skills tho (4ish)
