PAIRING: Ghost!Eret x GN!Reader
SUMMARY: Get a job as a tour guide at the local historic castle!’, they said. ‘It’ll be fun!’, they said. Well, now a specter of the last monarch to be crowned in its old halls has decided you’re the best thing since sliced bread, and you have to live with it.
WARNINGS: Mild language, implied/referenced death, implied/referenced murder, body horror, fainting mention
A/N: Okay- I know the warnings look bad, but in my opinion the fic is a lot lighter than it may first appear. Don’t judge a book by its cover, or... something. Anyways, enjoy, and remember to take care of yourselves y’all!

When you stepped into the darkened, cavernous expanse of the great hall from the brightness of the front lawns, you had only two things on your mind: a fresh cup of coffee and your need for a new jacket.
The squeaking of your sneakers echoed off the high stone walls and reverberated throughout the room, no doubt audible throughout the empty building. It was difficult for sound to permeate the castle’s infrastructure; the birdsong, the wind, all of it was muffled. You could almost forget that there was a world outside of the site’s sprawling grounds, that you hadn’t been transported back into the dark ages.
The emptiness was unnerving, especially during your first few days on the job, but you’d quickly grown to love it while it lasted. The serenity wouldn’t last long- not when, in about an hour, the castle would be swarming with tourists and their ankle biters.
“‘Morning Sam,” you murmured blearily as you dumped your bag onto the security kiosk’s counter, rifling through it for your employee ID.
“Guess again,” a cheery voice greeted you, and you paused. Blinking up at the person behind the glass, you felt your eyebrows shoot up so fast that it almost hurt. The grin that spread across your face was painful in its own right, wide and broad.
“Tubbo! I didn’t know you were working today,” you beamed, sleepiness forgotten as you greeted the teen. His grin, coupled with a bright gleam in his eye, was even brighter than your own.
Tubbo shrugged, a mirthful gleam in his eye as he took your offered ID and scanned it into the security system with deft fingers. The bright glow of the computer screen illuminated his youthful features and compact, soft face, turning his skin a ghostly shade of pale blue. Catching your eye, he grinned mischievously.
No doubt about it. If Tubbo died and somehow came back, he’d be a poltergeist.
Although he was only eighteen, he’d been working at the site for three years; much longer than you, barely a month in. Security, site maintenance, guiding tours- he’d done them all. The two of you had grown close, what with all the time you’d spent around each other, and although you would be hard-pressed to admit it, you had begun to think of the kid as a little brother.
“Sam was sick today, and couldn’t come in.”
You nodded sagely. “Ponk?”
“Ponk,” he agreed.
Despite the fact that you could count the number of times you’d met Ponk on two hands, it’d been enough for you and the rest of your coworkers to develop a healthy fear of her. She was perfectly nice, if a bit of a prankster, but when it came to Sam’s workaholic tendencies…?
You winced. He definitely needed the rest, but you did not want to know what atrocities Ponk had committed in getting him to stay home for the day.
The computer beeped, and Tubbo slid your ID back through the slot in the glass with a grin. “I heard you’re chaperoning some ghost hunters this weekend.”
Rolling your eyes, you chuckled. “Yeah. It’s kind of stupid, but I’m getting paid overtime for it, so.”
“Really?” he hummed, tipping his head to the side and cupping his chin in his palm. “Sounds like someone’s a skeptic.”
You hesitated.
“I don’t… know,” you said, drawing the words out. “As far as I’m concerned, the spookiest thing in this castle the lack of air conditioning. I’ll mind my own business, and so can the ghosts- spirits, or whatever.”
“Fair,” Tubbo snickered, his grin widening into something with entirely too many teeth. “You’ll have to tell me what show came by. I want to watch the footage when the episode releases.”
“Yeah, yeah. See you later, Tubs,” you sighed, ignoring his blatant attempt to psyche you out.
“Good luck!”
Kentillie Hold was many things to many different people. To you, it was the place where you spent your working hours, spouting scripts to visitors and their bored children. To historians, it was the crowning jewel of an ancient kingdom to rival Britain’s own, and the setting for one of the most brutal executions in history. To tourists… it was pretty and a good place to pose for Instagram pictures.
And it was, apparently, one of the most haunted places in England. At least, according to all the ghost hunters and paranormal enthusiasts that swamped the place, it was.
If you had been asked if you believed any of those claims a month ago, you would’ve called bullshit. Since your childhood, ghosts had always been a scare tactic that’d been used against you to, whether it be just to elicit some sort of reaction, or coerce you into doing something out of fear.
Years had passed, and you’d long since come to the realization that ghosts weren’t something to be afraid of- because they weren’t real. It was kind of ridiculous, the idea that the spirits of the dead had returned to the world of the living to just… hang out?
However, since your time spent at Kentillie, you were beginning to reconsider your stance on the subject.
It was easy to imagine that a place like the Hold was filled to the brim with ghosts. It was old- very, very old. Though there’d been no written record of when it was built, it had been estimated to be around 1040- almost twenty years earlier than Berkhamsted Castle. The stone walls and portcullis were crumbled and grey with age, with vines of ivy and climbing roses continually threatening to overtake the structure entirely.
Entire sections of the castle were forbidden for both staff and visitors to enter because of the rot that had done away with the castle for years before its restoration. One of the maintenance men actually had to quit because, while taking a shortcut through the restricted rooms, he had fallen through the floors and into the dungeons.
The Hold needed a lot of maintenance, too. It seemed like every other week something needed to be repaired or replaced. In fact, you’d heard that over the weekend the mirrors in the King’s Chambers had needed to be deep-cleaned. Something about the metal backing rusting and causing red fluid to start leaking out of the glass?
You had only held your job for a brief time, but that was more than long enough for you to begin to notice the… odd happenings within the site’s halls. Stuff- yours and your coworker’s- consistently disappeared and reappeared in spots they definitely weren’t in before. Guests mentioned hearing disembodied voices near closing hours, footsteps that followed them down the hall; movement out of the corner of their eyes that, when they turned to investigate, revealed nothing there.
The earnestness with which they recounted these events was enough to make even the most hard-core skeptic waver in their beliefs. Unnerving to say the least- especially when you were a witness of some of these encounters yourself.
You did your best to put it out of your mind, but more often than not you felt watched. The sensation of intangible eyes boring holes into you during your work shifts was a familiar one. Random chills, goosebumps, and running into inexplicably cold patches of air, even more so.
Acknowledging it only invited childhood fear back, so you didn’t. At least, not consciously.
More importantly than the Hold’s age or the toll that time had taken on it in reinforcing the mythology of paranormal happenings was the history held within its hallowed halls; the long, winding tale of one of the most powerful (and obscure) royal lineages to ever exist, and of a betrayal that rivaled the drama of the Ides of March.
“Do any of you know who the last reigning monarch of Kentillie Hold was?” you asked politely, gaze sweeping over the faces of the tour group you were leading. They stared at you, faces blank and uncomprehending. Someone coughed.
After checking in with Tubbo, you’d been launched into the routine that dictated your day-to-day work life: you stowed your stuff away in the staff room (which was really just a repurposed part of the cellar), changed into your uniform, and prepped for the tours that you were slated to corral. It was well past noon and you were leading your fourth- and most boring- group of your shift.
Despite the difficulty, you kept your smile staunchly plastered across your face. It wasn’t very often that you met someone who knew, given how deep the Herobrines were in the British monarchy’s shadow. However, having to explain the same thing over and over again to people who rarely cared was… tiring, to say the least.
Since it was a weekday, there were fewer people visiting. The ballroom was quiet, the hushed voices of guests barely audible against the rush of wind outside the small, port-like windows. Your voice was the loudest by far, all those Drama lessons you’d taken helping you project your voice to every corner of the space.
Before you could continue, resigned to your fate, a tiny hand shot up into the air. “Eret Herobrine!”
Your eyebrows flickered up as you gazed down at the little girl who’d answered your question, a determined gleam to her eye as her gaze met yours. Softening, you graced her with the most genuine smile you’d given throughout the duration of the tour.
“Very good!” you enthused. “They were the seventh and last reigning monarch of Herobrine.”
Stepping to the side, you gestured to the painting that’d been hung directly behind you. At your cue, the light coming through a nearby window strengthened, setting the bold colors that comprised the work alight with a fiery vibrance. “This portrait here depicts him at the height of his rule, right around the time of his coronation.”
The tourists ooo’d and ahhh’d, some of the more industrious taking out their cell phones or cameras to snap a pic. You couldn’t blame them for their enraptured reactions- you’d felt much the same the first time you’d seen it.
That painting- ‘Winter After The Coronation’- was one of the many mysteries of the Hold. It was ancient, but somehow throughout the years, it had managed to remain as pristine as the day it was framed. Whether it was because it was found stored within the walls of the castle, far away from the elements, or through some method of sealing or making paint that made it immune to weathering, the artistry was pristine.
And oh, was it breathtaking.
Brought to life on the canvas was the likeness of a tall, aristocratic figure, clothed in a furred red cape and dripping with gold. They were standing in a garden, snow falling in thick flakes and tangling in their long, curly dark hair; catching in their eyelashes and clinging to the branches of holly and yew that framed their face like a thorny crown.
Somehow, the painter had managed to capture the texture and feel of the expensive fabrics draped across his form, the play of light across his face, and the cool flush that the biting wind brought to his face. Eret’s eyes were dark and warm, his brows arched and expression serene. The suggestion of a smile lingered around the lines of his mouth- like he knew a secret that you didn’t.
“As you all can see, she’s not wearing a crown,” you extrapolated after allowing the visitors to admire the work for a few moments, drawing their attention back to you. “This is just one of the many mysteries surrounding Eret and her reign. Paintings were extremely expensive to commission, and so most royals in the Herobrine line only had their portraits taken once or twice in their lifetime.
“So, why would Eret choose not to appear in their crown, as so many of their predecessors did? Why would they remove their most defining mark of status, one of the only things that could’ve been used to identify them once they’d passed on?”
The little girl who had spoken up frowned. “Maybe he thought it was ugly.”
You laughed, turning your head to look at the canvas once more. The painted eyes almost seemed to stare back, hidden truths swirling within their depths.
“I guess we’ll never know. It’s not like we can call her up and ask her,” you joked, earning a few smiles from the peanut gallery. It was muscle memory to glance away from your tour group while they chattered amongst one another and make a sweep of the room, checking for any guests that might’ve wandered away.
Movement from the corner of your eye drew your gaze.
Squinting, you hazarded a step closer to the source of your distraction, one of the many mirrors that dotted the walls. Some insane interior designer had gone absolutely crazy with mirrors- almost every vertical surface was covered with them, and they were large. We’re talking floor-to-ceiling, non-stop reflective action.
Now that you were looking at it, nothing seemed amiss… but you could’ve sworn you saw something. You were confident enough in your suspicion to draw even nearer, close enough to touch the glass surface if you reached out.
There- at the very edge of the mirror, you barely caught the flutter of a cape sliding out of view.
You blinked once, twice, three times, feeling your heart pick up in pace. You glanced behind you. Nobody was wearing anything resembling what you’d seen- except, perhaps, the elegant old woman in the red trench coat that was perusing the floor, arm delicately linked with her husband’s.
Leaning back, you smoothed your hands down the shirt of your uniform, taking slow, measured breaths. Nothing else appeared in the mirror, and you felt yourself begin to calm down. You even managed to force out a breathy chuckle.
Oh, you would be having words with Tubbo later. The dude must’ve been more effective at freaking you out than he really was.
You pointedly ignored the prickling sensation as every hair on your body stood on end.
Ushering the group along, you led them through the dark hallways that wound throughout the interior of the Hold. Your path was lit only by the flickering beeswax candles that dotted the walls every ten paces or so; you pointed them out to your tour group, remarking how, back in the day, they used tallow candles made from animal fat instead.
Only one place was left for you to visit before this particular tour was over, and that was the Hold’s most famous room: the Royal Suite.
Located on the uppermost floor, the sprawling chambers took up almost the entire level- with only a little bit of space for the receiving room, where guests could sit and have tea.
Unlike the rest of the castle grounds, the Royal Suite and the adjacent areas were completely forbidden for guests to enter by themselves. Only tour groups were allowed to access them, so the delighted gasps and assorted sounds of awe that arose as you pushed open the heavy cherrywood door were… pretty par for the course, actually.
If you had to pick which part of Kentillie grounds was your favorite, you’d be a dirty liar if you didn’t at least mention the opulent rooms that awaited you beyond the open doorway.
When the castle was restored, the most work and effort was put into the Royal Suite. According to what records were available, this was where the Herobrine family’s reigning monarchs ate, slept, and lived; it was a testament to the wealth they’d gathered throughout their long stewardship of the British Isles.
You watched with keen eyes as the guests spread out, gaping at the craftsmanship that had gone into every inch of the connected chambers.
Detailed paintings of wildlife covered the walls, depicting everything from gnarled forest trees to different kinds of birds, foxes, and weasels. The floors were polished to a mirror glaze, made of some type of dark red granite. Overhead, porcelain chandeliers that burned with a thousand little candles cast rainbow-colored light throughout the room.
Plush carpets, woven thick enough that your feet hardly made a sound as you walked across them, padded the center of the space. Right on top of it was the canopy bed- one of the biggest beds, in fact, that you think you’ve ever seen.
Were you to lay down upon it lengthwise, you would have at least another half-meter or so of space on either end. The mattress was overflowing with pillows- the expensive horsehair kind that looked so overstuffed they might explode at any moment; each richly colored and embroidered with delicate furls of ferns.
To the right, you could see the short hallway that led to the cordoned-off bath chamber. Although it was forbidden to enter- something about structural integrity- you could still make out the play of light against the multicolored ceramic tiles that dotted the floor.
If your memory served you correctly, the majority of the space inside was taken up by a gargantuan claw-footed bath that the royalty would use to immerse themselves in perfumed water and flower petals. It was actually quite a flex in the olden times to have a room solely delegated to bathing, seeing as most people couldn’t afford to take them too often. Heating up the water, having servants haul it upstairs, and then only using it once before it was drained…
Yeah.
To your left was the study, which also had a barrier to prevent any tourists from wandering in and breaking something. Tall bookshelves lined the walls, bracketing a lone desk covered with papers. One of the most interesting things about the Herobrine family was their value of literature and literacy; You think that Eret even wrote a book before she died.
You smirked. Right, you were just getting to that.
There were a few more rooms beyond that, used to hold meetings with local knights and lords- but you weren’t interested in those. No, you were much more focused on the room you were standing in. The one where they were murdered.
Clearing your throat, you gathered your audience before you, herding them into position at the foot of the bed. You spread your arms wide, and with the same amount of drama as an actor about to perform a soliloquy.
“This was His Royal Highnesses chambers,” you exclaimed, allowing your smirk to grow. You winked at the little girl from before, peeking out from behind her mother’s back. “Though some of you might’ve already known that.”
Earning a few chuckles from your audience, you allowed your arms to fall back into a neutral state. “This was where Eret Herobrine at the height of her rule ate, slept, bathed, and occasionally held court. One could say that is was the primary backdrop for her life.
“It was the backdrop for the end of her life as well.”
Stepping to the side, you circled the canopy frame, stopping right beside the headboard. Reaching behind it, you heard your tour group collectively inhale as you drew a long, wicked-looking dagger from out behind it.
“Only two years after their coronation,” you went on, spinning the blade between your fingers, “Eret was slaughtered in cold blood.”
Someone gasped as you stabbed the dagger into the pillow, just about where someone’s head would be if they were laying down. You laughed wickedly, enjoying their momentary shock. It had to be the most emotion you’d elicited from the group yet.
“Their very own personal advisor, a former knight by the name of Dream, snuck up into their chambers late at night and killed them. His plan was to put a new ruler into power: his lover, a lord by the name of George.”
You shook your head, sighing internally at the sheer audacity.
“Of course, he didn’t succeed. Both Dream and George were executed, while those who were accused of aiding them fled the land.
“Ultimately, though, Eret’s death was too much for the kingdom to take, and it crumbled into obscurity not long after. The remains of Kentillie Hold are all that remain of the proud Herobrine legacy, so thank you for booking a tour with us.”
The visitors all clapped politely, and you bowed.
“If you’d like to donate money, please deposit it in the boxes on the first floor.”
As the group dispersed, their hour long tour finally finished, you surreptitiously checked the blankets covered the bed. Although the blade you’d used was obviously plastic, you would still get in trouble if you damaged anything- and you could not afford the hundreds of dollars it would take to fix it if it got torn.
You jolted as something brushed your shoulder lightly, head snapping up to stare suspiciously at the empty space that surrounded you. Before you could begin to question it too much, however, you were distracted by a tug on your pants.
“Can I help you?” you asked, staring down at the little girl whose hands were securely fisted in the fabric of your clothes. Her parents rushed up behind her; the mother pulling the girl away and into her embrace.
“Sorry, she’s still learning about personal space,” the father said sheepishly. He turned back towards his daughter, face softening. “Didn’t you have something to give the nice tour guide, sweetie?”
Shyly, she extracted her arms from her mother’s hold, holding out a crisp twenty dollar bill for you to take.
“Oh!” you said, your previously bemused expression shifting into a gentle smile. “Thank you!”
You shivered as you crouched to take it from here, the temperature of the room seeming to have gone down by a few degrees. Rubbing at your arms, you offered her one last grin before her parents swept her away to the safety of the sunny outdoors.
Or- not so sunny. Shit.
How late was it?
Pulling out your phone, you blanched at the time that blinked up at you from the screen: 6:00 PM. It was well past the point you should’ve been making your way back to the staff room to get changed and drive home, and if you waited any longer you wouldn’t be getting back ot the house until at least midnight.
“Damn it,” you cursed. Luckily, no one else was around to scold you except yourself, the rest of the visitors having long since exited the room.
Starting the long trek to the first floor, you couldn’t dispel the goosebumps that had surfaced all over your body. Normally they would only last so long before they inevitably relaxed- but it was somehow different this time. Like you were reacting to something much different than what you normally dealt with.
The last of your tour group were exiting the building when you finally made it all the way down, breaths heaving and shaky as you momentarily braced yourself against one of the cold stone walls. You frowned down at your wobbly legs, bemoaning your lack of athleticism.
Most of the staff had already left. The majority of the work done in the Hold was either in the mornings or on the weekends, so on days like this the only people left at this hour were you and the security guards that patrolled the grounds. Tubbo was going to pack up soon, probably in about thirty minutes, so you had to be fast.
Maybe that was why you didn’t notice the electricity in the air when you barged down into the cellar-turned-staff room, complaining about the freezing air temperature as you slipped into the changing room.
Maybe that was why you didn’t notice the droplets of blood dotting the floor as you padded to your locker, checking the time once more with a harried expression. The soles of your feet were stained red, leaving sticky, bright footprints like a breadcrumb trail behind you.
Maybe that was why you didn’t notice the figure floating behind you until it was too late- until your hind-brain was screaming at you to run, to hide, to do anything but stay here.
You could ignore a lot of things, but not your instincts when they were this insistent. Which is why, when the air behind you chilled in an upside-down facsimile of body heat, you finally recognized the storm brewing.
Your body went as still as the grave when you made eye contact with it in the reflection of your phone, breathing shallow. Your heart felt like a bird bludgeoning itself against the cage of your ribs, broken and bloody, and you whimpered softly when it blinked.
Turning slowly around, your breath halted completely when you came face-to-face with that of a corpse. There was no way that the thing standing- floating- behind you was human, although it took the shape of one.
It’s skin was grey and lifeless, flickering with an inner light. It’s eyes were a pupil-less, pure white that glowed in the room’s shadows. It’s clothes, a loose ruffle shirt and thick woolen pants, were tattered and torn. The shredded edges swirled around it as if buoyed by an invisible wind.
For some reason, it seemed oddly familiar.
But most importantly- most horrifyingly- was the dagger sunk deep within its chest, covering the entire front of its shirt with crimson, viscous blood. As you watched, frozen with a mixture of shock and terror, small drops of it dripped onto the floor and landed with a spatter.
It inhaled, the sound rattling in its ruined lungs, before speaking. If you had to liken what its voice was, it was like the whistling of wind through the Hold’s ruined towers; the sound of the tree leaves rustling, the sound of the beeswax candles guttering.
“Hello.”
You shrieked.
The ghost, because that’s what it was, a goddamn ghost- winced, drifting slightly further away. “Ah. That is… not ideal.”
Half-convinced you were about to pass out, you braced yourself on your locker door, curling up like you were considering shoving yourself inside to escape this entire situation. You actually might, if it got any closer.
It raised its bloodstained hands out in front of itself placatingly, grimacing. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
You looked at it, caught in the middle of taking another shuddering breath to scream for help. “Do you expect me to believe that?”
The ghost sighed, which was weird now that you thought about it because it didn’t need to breathe. It smiled awkwardly, and if you didn’t know any better, you’d think it was nervous. “... Hopefully?”
“You’re doing a terrible job at convincing me!” you laughed hysterically. You were kind of starting to hyperventilate at this point, and if you didn’t stop you were going to pass out. The ghost seemed to agree.
“You need to calm down.”
You glared at it. “Thanks.”
It hesitated for a moment. “This is… not how I wanted this to go.”
“How else could this have gone?!”
Pausing, it seemed to be thinking for a moment. You took the time to begin to edge out from your spot, angling for the door. If you moved quickly enough, you might be able to make it out of the building with your life intact.
“You have a point,” the ghost mused. Before you could blink, it was right in front of you again, pale lips curving into a grin. “Let’s try this again, shall we?”
Oh.
You froze, heart leaping into your throat. You realized why it had seemed so familiar, why its appearance had niggled at the back of your brain. The ghost’s visage was a haunting echo of that shown in the same painting you’d seen over and over again for the past few weeks.
The sharpness of its smile, the secretive cast to its face, the way in which it dressed- down to the last detail, you realized. Ghosts are the spirits of the dead, back to walk the earth once more.
“Hello,” Eret Herobrine said, taking your hand in her own. The sensation was weird, to say the least. It was similar to when you would stick your hand out of the car window and feel the wind pushing at it like a physical barrier.
This was like that, but in the shape of a hand.
You shivered as they pressed a chilled kiss to your skin, feeling the curve of their grin like a physical brand.
“Eret,” He murmured, pallid eyes locked on your own. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you.”

Hi, I’m guessing requests are open? If so, can you write about c!Techno slowly becoming best friends with the Reader (considering he invited her to the Syndicate without knowing much about her, just that she was “wise and strong” and stuff, so they weren’t close at all beforehand)? [Platonic :D] [also sorry if its too specific haha]
Sweet! Of course I'll do it <3 also don't worry sweetheart it isn't too specific ^^
Slowly melting like gold
[Technoblade x GN!Reader] → Platonic.
*Friendly reminder this is with their Minecraft personas! I don't write about CCs.
Read rules before requesting~°♪
Note: No pronouns used. GN reader.
Tumblr media
Although he was indeed the reason you met and joined The Syndicate, he didn't know pretty much anything about you. He did saw that you were closer to Phil and Ranboo though, so he got interested on you. Plus, he saw you carrying Tommy and Tubbo once —you were trying to stop them of making chaos— so he had to try and test your force too.
That's what he told Phil at least, but in pure honesty, he had no clue why did he wanted to meet you more.
But Phil encouraged him to friend you, so... Let's see intent number one:
He walked down to your location; The Greater DreamSMP. You were looking from far away at Ponk and Foolish talking, something seemed apparently wrong, and didn't notice the "tall" (has to use platforms to reach 6ft tall) reaching out to you.
“Y/n.”, he called you out, making you slightly jump in your place. “Oh! Hi Techno”, you smiled at him, getting up from the stone walls you were sitting on. “What brings you here, "Mr.Blade"?” you asked with a grin on your face. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit when he heard the nickname you called him for. “Nothing extraordinary, just wanted to pass by.” he shrugged it off. You titled your head, humming with curiosity. “Only that?” you asked, not believing that the pig man would have gone out from his comfort zone to be in a place full of drama. “I mean, yes, why else would I be here?”. He regretted his words as soon as they came out of his tongue. He could see your bad-hided pain from his words. “I see, well, I gotta go Techno, nice to talk to you.” Techno wanted to hit himself in that moment, but he panicked.
Well, that one didn't work. He refused to get out of his house until he had a good plan to friend you. Phil watched him, shaking his head in disbelief. If only Techno knew it was easy for him to friend you.
But oh well, let's not throw his work down. Time for intent number two!
He was decided this time, you had accepted meeting him in the Syndicate room.
He couldn't lie, he was nervous even though he didn't show it. He was terrible with words (even of he had an English mayor), but he had make some friends still, why was so hard to have you as a friend?
He saw the door open itself, letting show your figure trough it. You smiled at the pig man in front of you. “Hello there, Techno”, you greeted him, sitting on your chair. “Hello.” he greeted back, mimicking your action.
Silence fell awkwardly between you two for a couple seconds, until you decided to break the tension. “So, Techno, why did you decide to meet me here?” you played with the little flower on the table, waiting for the anarchist's answer.
Techno, however, didn't really expect the question. And now he was more nervous to be there with you. Why was it so frustratingly hard? He did try, but now he wasn't sure.
“I... Um...” he sighed as the words wouldn't come out of his mouth. “Tech? You're alright?” you questioned him, truly worried about his strange behaviour.
“'m fine...” he mumbled under his breath, not really trying for you to hear. “It's just... Harder than what I thought.”, “What exactly?”.
You saw his black pig eyes dodge your view. He couldn't really look directly at you in that moment. “...Just wanted to friend you...” he whispered, but it was loud enough for you to hear. You smiled at him, “so that's what everything was about?” you chuckled at his expression, you really didn't expect for the blood god to be this sweet.
“Awe, Techno” you cooed happily. “I thought you would write a letter for his those of things since you are not good with words when you have to talk face to face.”
He turned slightly red in embarrassment. “Shut.” which only made you chuckle. “I do want to be friends with you btw”, your words only made him look at you with shiny eyes.
Guess third time didn't have to be the charm this time.

Illegal’s So Fun- Part 1
Coffee With Cream And Sugar: For 🍭 Anon
Pairing: Karl Jacobs & Sapnap x reader
Tumblr media
Fanfic streetracer AU with Karl Jacobs, Sapnap, and gn reader
A/N: Ty for ordering, 🍭 anon! I really hope you enjoy, sorry it took so incredibly long, and I hope I sort of got this right! If not I’ll gladly redo it >:D
Mondays were the best day of the week.
Well, Mondays and Wednesdays.
And Fridays, of course.
Why?
Because, on those three weeknights, Sapnap got to street race.
In their bustling modern city, only a few miles from L’Manburg, Sapnap hung out with his gang. No, not like a “we kidnap and murder people” gang.
A street racing gang.
And, a friend group.
True, street racing in their city was just as illegal as a ”we kidnap and murder people” gang.
It was just more fun.
This is what Sapnap thought as his car veered around the corner of SMP Street. He continued without looking back, only raising a hand out of his open window to shoot Dream the middle finger.
And there he was.
He had won.
Again.
Sapnap’s signature smirk crossed his face as he rose from his cushiony driver’s seat to open the car door and step out. His prized vehicle was a fiery orange, with flames perfectly painted the sides by their friends Niki and Ponk. Niki was a baker, sharing a bakery with their other friend Puffy, but she was an artist in her spare time. Ponk worked at a mechanic shop, which was perfect for Sapnap and his gang (thankfully Ponk didn't call the police on them when he first saw them street racing).
And it wasn't as if Sapnap and his gang were poor or something. They just had- as most men do- a thrill for adventure and breaking the rules.
And winning.
And gloating.
So, naturally, Sapnap whipped out his phone in front of Dream and began playing “industry baby” on Spotify.
Dream grumbled, getting out of the car.
“George!” He called to his boyfriend, another member of the gang.
George perked up. “Uh, it was…Sapnap.” He had recorded a replay tape by the finish line to ensure fairness.
Sapnap cackled. “Bro, you didn’t even need that! I was way ahead of you, Dream!”
The man in the mask waved a hand in dismissal and walked away, grumbling again, with George trailing behind him.
Just then, Karl (Sapnap’s boyfriend) raced up and captured his lips in a fierce kiss.
”How are you so good at this??” He gasped when he pulled away.
”Luck, and…a shit ton of practice.” Sapnap smiled, pressing a kiss to Karl’s forehead.
Quackity, the final group member, was quick to follow Karl over. As usual, he was holding a bottle of whiskey (which was why the rest of the gang usually didn’t let him race, as he had a habit for drinking.)
He hollered, “That was POGGERS, Sap! As always.” He added, which was very true.
Karl nuzzled into Sapnap. “Honestly, I think you’re the best racer in the gang,” he sighed, his voice muffled by Sapnap’s jacket.
Sapnap puffed out his chest. “Yeah, well, I try.”
He hugged his arm tighter around Karl.
“Love you,” Karl breathed.
“Yeah, love you too, sugarplum.”
God, their gang was the best.

The sun was starting to rise, the morning dew shined on the grass outside the window. As much as you hated it, you knew sooner or later you would have to pull away from Ponk and make the trip back to Las Nevadas.
You sighed and looked over to him, sleeping so peacefully, quiet and calm breaths escaping their mouth. You smiled and began to roll out of the bed. You were almost out of the bed before an arm wrapped around your waist.
"No...don't leave me, stay here all day." Ponk groaned, half asleep.
"Ponk I've gotta go to work love."
"Nope, no work." You laughed, falling against him slightly. You placed a hand on his cheek, stroking your thumb against his cheekbone.
"I've really got to go. I promise I'll be back soon." You kissed his cheek, removed his arm from your waist, and got up, grabbing your jacket before closing the bedroom door.
You walked through the greater SMP, admiring the new pop-up buildings, and reminiscing on the old.
You didn't even notice a still half asleep Ponk following behind you. For as much noise as he was making you couldn't seem to notice. You were lost in your own thoughts. For the last few months, you had to keep your place of work a secret. You weren't sure how people would react to you working at Las Nevadas, and further, for Quackity. The only people who knew at this point were Quackity and the others who were beginning their transition to the new faction.
Ponk had struggled after the Red Banquet to forgive Quackity, even though it was Q who had technically freed her from the Egg's grasp, something not even you could do. But Ant had lost a life, and Ponk wasn't sure if they could forgive Puffy for that or Quackity for allowing it.
You waltzed into the Needle, Quackitys headquarters and took the elevator to the very top. Ponk hadn't risked getting spotted by anyone and stayed at the ground level, waiting, watching.
The elevator doors opened up, and you walked over to the railing, Quackity standing, looking over some papers.
"What can I help you with today Big Q? And we gotta make this quick, I have a lot to do today."
The man snorted, "Yeah, right. Now would I be where I am right now if I let people who work for me tell me about how much time they have? No, I wouldn't. Take a seat."
You sighed, quickly pulling out your message to send Ponk a text about how you would be late. Q sat across from you, going on and on about how the business you were chosen to help him start was lacking, as were you with your progress getting to Las Nevadas.
"I can't have slackers, but I really don't like the idea of anyone else having you working for them, so I'm torn. I could give you a second chance, make a new deal...or I'll just have to convince you another way to not go working for someone like Tubbo or Jack. Not even Techno."
You let out a sigh. "All right, just get to the point."
"Well, it's simple. Either you get settled down here completely in the next 3 days, or I'm going to convince you to."
You rolled your eyes. He couldn't force you to do anything. How could he?
"How's Ponk doing?" This caused your breath to get caught in your throat.
"Oh please, you think I don't know? I know everything about you y/n. Your history, your alliances, friends...partners. And I need to in order to keep you under me."
"He doesn't even know about this. They don't even know I work here. You have no reason to hurt them other than to hurt me."
"And if I have to I will." He checked his communicator, and the message catching his eye. "Sam and I have some business to attend to. Consider what I've told you, and come back to me with either an answer or through action. Have a good day, you're dismissed."
You sat shocked for a moment before you stood and stomped off the balcony. By the time the elevator stopped the tears had rolled down your cheeks as you thought over the choice you'd have to make.
The thoughts ran around your mind as you walked outside of Las Nevada's borders and into Snowchesters, a weight lifted off your shoulders.
You took a seat on the soft ground, not too worried about the cool air. You needed to think.
"Y/n?" His voice. His lovely, sweet voice. You turned and found Ponk standing there, rubbing his arms to keep warm.
"Hello love, what are you doing here?" Quickly removing your jacket you handed it over to her.
"I, um, I followed you from the house. I figured...well I wanted to see where you go when you leave me."
"Oh gosh, I'm so sorry Ponk. I-I should've told you sooner, I was planning to but I didn't know how you'd react."
He smiled, resting a soft hand on your cheek. You relished in the touch.
"Don't worry about it. I don't care for you working with Quackity, as long as you're happy and safe. Speaking of...I heard what he told you."
"You did...?"
He nodded, a smile resting on his calm face. "Yeah, but I'm not worried. I'll always be there with you, by your side. And we're gonna get through this, together."

Chapter 1
Summary:
Y/N brutally murdered Wilbur and therefore took one of his lives, or so everyone thinks. They were thrown into jail, despised and hated by everyone. They slowly started to hate their old friends, they wanted revenge for not believing them and locking them away. One day y/n got the opportunity to break out from the prison and they did. Also They/them pronouns with male anatomy. I originally got this idea from @dreampsmp.dsmp on TikTok. Hope you'll like it!:)
around 550 words
A/N
I should mention that Philza doesn't live with techno but in lmanburg. Also, techno uses some slurs in the first chapter so yeah
Triggerwarnings for the whole story:
Suicidal Thoughts, Implied/Referenced Self-Harm, Implied/Referenced Suicide, cursing, Blood and Violence,
“Finally, my plan worked! They’ll come and get you and run right into my trap!” Techno said with a victorious smile. “No, they won’t. They would probably thank you.”, you chuckled looking up to Techno. You currently sit in Techno’s secret cave tied to a wooden chair. The walls around you are filled with black skulls, which have grey straps on them. The cave is rather small with some chests standing around the room. The walls and the floor are made out of cobblestone. Techno stands in front of you, a victorious smile fading as your words hit his ears. He wears a crown and a red jacket with white fluff at the ends. It’s similar to a King coat. His hair is a shade of pastel pink. “What do you mean? Why would they not come for you? That’s ridiculous, you can’t escape me.” He looks at you with an annoyed look on his face. You let out a groan “look buddy they literally don’t care about me; they hate me …a lot. They think I took one of Wilbur’s canon lives, even though that never happened but anyways.” Your eyes wander to his tall figure before you continue. “Philza literally disowned me, Tommy and Tubbo don’t even bother talking to me, all I get from those two are disgusted looks. And Wilbur… well Wilbur is just being him. He never talked to me anyways so yeah…even less now but that doesn’t really matter. The dream SMP doesn’t even know I exist. I think you are the only one outside of L’manburg who knows about me.” You let out a low laugh looking around the room and then back to him again. He just stood there, arms crossed in front of his chest. The tall man has a confused but stern facial expression. Techno stares down at you with reddish coloured eyes. He opens his mouth ready to say something but closes it again. Technoblade remains silent for another minute before he starts to speak. “How do I know for sure that you are not lying to me? What if this is just some stupid plan to kill me?” “Okay first of all this would be the shittiest plan to try and kill the Blade himself. Second of all, I can’t prove it to you. You’ll never know if I lied to you or not.” You said smirking at him. “Fucking Bitch” He muttered under his breath. “Fine, then I guess you’ll have to stay here” He looked away with a mischievous smile, waiting for you to beg him to let you free. He loves when people beg him for something.(not like that -.-) Techno’s smile slowly faded when he didn’t hear a sound from you. He turned his face to you only to see a smirk on your face once again. “You look surprised bud. Disappointed I didn’t complain?” Your smirk only grew wider at the sight of his confused face. You look around the room while you continue speaking “I think it's quite nice her. It seems very cosy, I just think it’s a little cold but that doesn’t really bo- “shut the fuck up you stupid bitch! Who do you think you are talking to me like that?!” You just looked at him with an amused smile. “What the fuck do you smile over!? If you don’t shut the fuck up, I’ll slit your throat open!” You just sit there now with a plain expression and stare into his eyes. “Ok, do it.”

Mortal of Gold - Part 3
(Yandere!C!Techno x GN!Shy!Reader x Yandere!C!Philza)
Anyone want my list of the characters as gods? There were a few characters that I couldn't think of like Ponk, so I just left them out. ANYWAY. Hi, how's it going? ALSO I CANT EDIT THIS DAMN POST AND THE SPELLING ERRORS ARE SO IRRITATING
Part 1 Part 2 TW: Mention of amnesia, memories being altered Send me a message via inbox if you wanna be added to a general or series tag list. Make sure to turn off anon, please. ------- “They weren’t born… A mortal?”
A light wind brushed over your features, causing you to give a small sigh and roll over onto your side in an attempt to block the light from hitting your lidded eyes. It was nice and quiet for once… “(Y/n)?” A distorted voice echoed softly, causing you to flinch a bit. You opened your eyes slightly to see a silky blackbird sitting on the sheets beside you, a few golden trinkets laying beside it. Upon seeing your eyes slide open, the creature hopped up onto its legs and began making soft cooing noises, “(Y/n)! (Y/n), you’re awake!” Glancing around at the surroundings you had been placed in, racking your mind for any sort of familiarity but failing to come up with anything at all, even who you were. You sat up, slowly brushing your fingers along your ombre silk clothing before putting your hands on the sheets below your body, frowning as you didn’t recognize the bed as yours. “Hello…” You murmured softly, reaching your hand out to the crow who eagerly jumped forward to nuzzle your hand. The feathers of the bird felt… Odd. They felt more like grabbing at misty fog, but with a light staticky cotton texture that caused a buzzing sensation on your fingertips, “I’m sorry, my memory… Seems to be a tad faulty… Could you tell me your name?” “I’m Chat, Dadza- er… Philza’s familiar! I was a gift from Mumza, oops... Kristen, the Goddess of Void and Death.” It chirped, its voice having multiple layers in your head, causing you to shake your head a slight bit, “No, they’re not married, only parental figures to the souls that pass on to the afterlife or those they saved sometime before they passed on… I believe they have more of a co-worker relationship.” You nodded slightly, pursing your lips at how the creature’s voice sounded in your mind. It was unsettling and caused shivers to crawl up and down your back, but at the same time, it was incredibly calming and had a soothing aura. How that worked, you had no clue whatsoever. Brushing off the unsettling voice of the bird, you decided to focus on the name that caused a light to go off in your head, “Alright… Philza… I think I remember that name…” “Yeah! Dadza- Eck… Sorry. Phil, he’s the God of Survival and Crows! He controls not only every crow in the mortal land, but he also controls whether or not someone will survive a situation. If there is no way that the mortal can survive, he will send a crow down and have them guide the soul of the mortal to him! Then he escorts them to Kristen! He has gained the name Angel of Death because he works for Mumza!” You decided not to question why the crow called Philza and Kristen Mumza and Dadza, knowing that you’d probably find out later, but by the sound of it Chat seemed to be multiple children, “Okay… Makes sense…” You mumbled slowly, nodding your head up and down. With a sigh you slowly brought your legs over to the side of the bed, only now becoming aware of how large the soft mattress was. Lowlands! (Hell) You could probably fit six people who were ten feet tall in it with room to roam! Pushing yourself off the bed, you also realized how high the beautiful bed was off the floor, Gods, whoever lived here was tall! Behind you, you heard a small chirp, and you saw Chat watching you curiously. With a small shrug, you decided to pick the familiar up and hold it in your cupped hands as you walked out the door, “Oooh! Dadza never carries us like this, and Technoblade does only when he’s about to yeet us out a window!” “Yeet?” You scowled in confusion as you walked through the arched doorway, your bare feet padding silently on the quartz flooring, “I'm scared to ask. Technoblade? Is he also a god of some things? He sounds familiar as well…” “That’s its word for throwing something. Well, it yells the word when they throw something or get thrown, so I assume it’s yelling in excitement,” A deep voice spoke from in front of you, causing you to gasp and lift your head from the crow. The telepathic chirping and squeaks from Chat in your mind quickly formed the name Technoblade, so… You had a feeling that your answer was on its way past his
lips, “I’m Technoblade, or Techno, the God of Blood and War. It’s… nice to see you finally awake…” He shifted awkwardly on his feet as you curiously studied him. His appearance could certainly be described as godly if anyone asked you. His long pink hair was mostly twisted and tied into a braid with bits of golden chain and a polished golden crown adorned with rubies, garnets and diamonds. Upon his pale skin, dozens of scars of varying sizes decorated his skin in different areas, but they were displayed in an almost proud manner. Almost. When he spoke, his dark pink eyes hidden behind cracked glasses searched your form for any sort of injury, “I’m… (Y/n)... I think. I don’t know if this bird is exactly trustworthy in its information… Do you know where I am?” Techno snorted as Chat gave an offended squawk at your statement, “That’s very fair, to be honest. You’re in the Tundra of the Upperlands, and this is my palace. No there is no snow, I believe the person who named this place has never looked into the name or word Tundra, but it’s been like this for too long to change it-” He paused for a moment as he noticed you looking extremely confused, “Ah. Right. Desert. Don’t worry about it.” “Oh… Okay…” You frowned at the tusked male for a moment before shaking your head, deciding not to question it much, “Now, uh… How did I get here, and why don’t I remember anything about myself? Or, about you and this Philza guy, I was told about.” You lifted Chat slightly toward Techno as a silent indication that Chat was the one who told you about Phil. “That’s uh… Phil’s field of expertise.” He rubbed the back of his head with his black-tipped fingers before adjusting his crown, “I don’t understand much of what happened, and Phil will tell you what you need to know that will keep you safe.” Hesitantly, he held his free hand out towards you making you realize that he was easily over seven and a half feet tall, “C’mon, I’ll take you to him and get you the answers you need.” His hand was extremely steady, you noticed as you stared down at it cautiously. Once you noticed that he didn’t seem to want to do you harm, you slowly shifted Chat into one hand and used your free hand to take the one extended to you, which you couldn’t help but notice, made Technoblade very happy, “Okay. Thank you.” The god held your hand in his calloused one for a few moments before beginning to lead you down the tan and white hallways that were turned a light golden hue from the rising sun. It was quite a long walk filled with a slightly uncomfortable silence, but you distracted yourself by looking around the palace curiously. It was obvious he was the God of War by how many swords hanging on walls and sets of armour he had placed on armour stands in the hallways. Eventually, he walked you through an archway that led into a wide-open room with multiple windows that had many crows perched on the windowsills, some chirping and singing some little tune in perfect unison while others shuffled around, seeming to do a little dance. You were quick to realize the whistling of one of the birds didn’t match up and noticed that it was coming from the man with the large white and green striped hat as well as massive black feathered wings dangling on his back, fluffing themselves up every so often. When you and Techno stepped in, the blackbirds started chirping loudly, losing the rhythm of the tune the winged man was whistling as Chat started telepathically squealing about… 2/4? Two out of four what? “Ah!” The hat-wearing male turned around and clasped his hands together upon seeing you standing up, “(Y/n), you’re awake. I was worried the injuries you sustained were enough to keep you out cold for a few more weeks. I’m glad to see I was wrong. I’m Philza, God of Survival and Crows, and I see you’ve met Chat and Techno. Pesky bird, I told it not to wake you...” You pursed your lips for a moment, analyzing the shorter god as the bird squealed out its protests. While he was shorter than Techno, he was certainly tall, standing roughly around six feet tall, his wingspan
probably double that for each wing! His blonde hair was long around his face but was pulled into a loose braid like Techno’s was, although instead of gold intertwined into his hair, it was silver. His outfit was made up of a loose green shirt and black pants, with a red heart-shaped pendant dangling off of a chain into the center of his chest. Why did that pendant… Look familiar? You slowly rose your hand up and clasped at the pendant around your neck, noticing how Philza smiled softly, “Technoblade… Said you could tell me why I can’t remember anything?” “You’re still wearing my gift, I see,” Philza gave a soft hum as Chat jumped from your hand and onto his shoulder, before gesturing for you and Techno to take a seat where he already had drinks and some form of cakes set out, but they certainly weren’t there when you came in. Upon seeing your confused blinking, he gave a soft laugh, “I’m a god, mate, magic is no difficult task for me, let alone creating some measly tea and desserts. Now, sit down and I will tell you everything…” - General - None Mortal of Gold -@generalalmond @binas-idea-vault @ohworm-writes

"together we can fly" ➷ Eret
or: a love ignored for far too long blossoms under the bright lights of a circus tent.
➛ pairing: c!Eret x gn!reader
➛ idea: An unhealed foot injury of your partner Foolish forces you to perform with Eret at short notice on the opening night of your circus. But when old feelings come up again during your first training session together in a year, you have to make a crucial decision.
Either you have to suffer the consequences of a broken heart, or the circus will.
➛ wordcount: 7,1k
➛ tags/warnings: circus au, friends to more to strangers to lovers, a bit of angst (maybe a bit more), fluff, swearing
➛ an: there are many ideas for fanfictions and stories wandering through my brain, getting scribbled down in my journal where they will stay, not growing further than a few sentences but this one wouldn´t leave me alone. It took me weeks to write this and in the end, it is so much more than what i had imagined. I hope you enjoy this thought that became a small universe <3
reblogs and comments are appreciated <3
Tumblr media
"I'm sorry, what?"
Stunned, you stared at Wilbur, waiting for your director's serious expression to contort into a laugh at falling for his joke, but the longer the brunette kept silently looking at you, the clearer the gravity of the situation became.
"According to Ponk, Foolish's foot injury hasn't fully healed yet, and if he were to perform, it could only make things worse, and he'd be out for this season," Wilbur repeated the doctor's instruction, and with each word the feeling of dread in your stomach increased.
"Eret will be filling in for Foolish".
No sooner had the name of the last person you wanted to work with right now been dropped than you slumped like a boneless sack in the creaky chair in front of Will's desk.
You felt the fear on the back of your neck, uncomfortably cold it traveled down your spine, and mentally you cursed your best friend for his reckless action of "Of course I can jump from this rope to that rope" that had ended in a week of bed rest and not the cocky shouted out "jump of the year."
Jump of the year, my ass. It was a jump right into the book for the dumbest ideas Foolish had ever had- and there were a lot of those. This one, however, deserved a special place right on the cover.
Of course, you were worried about him, dammit, you'd been by his side the whole time, someone had to keep telling him how much he should hurry up and get better.
But besides worrying about Foolish, there was another feeling that made your heart hammer heavily against your rib cage. In a last-ditch effort, you balled your hands into fists, pleading with Will across the desk filled with bills and flyers that would be handed out tonight for the next performances. "Can't someone else fill in? Last season, Techno and I worked well together, after all, he's been to so many training sessions that he must know the act," you suggested, leaning further forward in the chair that felt way too big.
The stress was written all over Will's face and you felt bad just burdening him further with your fears, but everything in you opposed the idea of performing with Eret, Eret of all people, the act you had now spent months training for with Foolish.
Will raised a hand to his face, rubbing his index finger and thumb over the bridge of his nose, and for a moment he seemed to actually consider your suggestion until he shook his head. "No, I can't.. I can't change Techno's act last minute, he's been training for his act too, it wouldn't be fair. I just don't understand what your problem is, (y/n). Last year you worked wonderfully with Eret, your number had become our notice board, a representation of us, so well did you two get on. People loved you guys, what changed?"
Memories of soft touches and blue eyes with a shared future shining like the golden stars of the tent pushed their way up from repression, the feeling of free-falling leaving a bitter taste in your mouth, which you pressed tightly shut.
"You can change your last number a little, add some of the newer moves, you both know best what you can create together," Will continued to speak without looking up from his flyers, for if he had but glanced at you, he would have seen the tears welling up in the corners of your eyes and how you strained not to disappear in front of your director into old memories that still had their grip tight around your heart.
"Will, please! There has to be some way-"
"I said no!", Will suddenly interrupted you, his previously calm voice thundering through the small car and the desk shaking as his flat hand hit the dark wood.
As much as you wanted to shrink under his gaze, a childish defiance to get your own way had spread through your thoughts and at the same time as Will you stood up from your chair, glaring angrily at him.
You realized that there was little to no point in arguing with Wilbur; after all, the brunette was at least as stubborn as you, but at the same time he was right. Eret, as one of the best artists, was the only logical replacement for Foolish-a fact that made the hair on your arms stand on end.
"You can't make me do this," you fired back at him, and the moment you uttered the words, you regretted them. Before you could apologize, however, Will had long since sunk back into his seat and turned his attention to the important documents in front of him. He didn't even look at you, didn't even seem interested in your presence, and your frustration grew even more at the disinterest he made you feel.
You clenched your teeth until your jaw ached.
Look at me again, Will, give me another chance, you thought to yourself, but continued to be ignored.
Frustrated, you turned away from him and had just opened the door of the trailer when you heard Will raise his voice again; and this time in a pitch that would brook no argument:
"You're going to perform tonight and the rest of the week with Eret, whether you like it or not, I don't care."
With a frustrated huff, you slammed the door behind you.
Your discussion must have been loud enough to lure the rest of your circus family to the director's trailer, because as you jumped down the steps, several different gazes were on you, some sympathetic, others visibly not understanding why it tormented you so much to have to perform with Eret.
In your rage, you fled across the meadow of the field where you had set up camp, past all the glances that were becoming too much for you, trying to push down the feeling of your heart breaking all over again.
If you had been just a little more attentive, you might have seen the brown curly head that had been leaning against the side of Will's trailer, hearing every word loud and clear, and now disappeared in the direction of the main tent as well.
With Will's cold words circling in your mind, you found yourself in the large circus tent, which, to your relief, welcomed you quietly. None of the others would show up now to interfere; according to the plan, now would be your and Foolish's last rehearsal, though this one had been thrown into the water now.
You let your hands glide over the raised edge of the ring, looking over the countless rows of empty wooden benches and platforms, which in a few hours would be filled once again with excited visitors, visitors who could hardly wait to be transported into another world for an evening free of their problems, and normally there was nothing more pleasing to you than to look into the laughing and amazed faces when your show began, but today something would be missing from it all.... Foolish would be missing.
You knew there was no way Will would change his mind, he had made that abundantly clear in his last words, and you knew it wouldn't be the end of the world without Foolish and performing with another of the talented artists instead.
If it weren't for Eret.
You took off the jacket you'd pulled over your workout clothes for the talk with Will and tossed it carelessly over the red edge of the ring. You didn't have to worry about warming up, you had finished your stretching before Will called you over and threw the rest of your day, as well as your emotions, into turmoil.
On bare feet you walked across the fine sand to the center of the large tent, where a lone, snow-white ring hovered in the darkness a good three feet above the ground, attached to it two silken ribbons as pure a white as the ring itself. As soon as you closed a hand around the cool ring, you felt the ghost of his hand around yours again, and as if you had burned yourself on the metal, you tore yourself away.
You had to bite your teeth hard to keep from immediately starting to cry again. No, you had left that behind, you were already over that... you couldn't allow yourself to fall into old patterns- not when you had to function properly tonight.
You reached for the bar in the top half of the ring again, this time ignoring any feelings that were spreading through you, and braced yourself high enough to sit sideways in the ring. Instantly, the ring began to spin around itself, around and around, slowly but steadily.
As the empty wooden rows of seats before your eyes blended with the white and red stripes of the tent canvas and became one blurry mass, your mind wandered back to a time not too long ago, and yet infinitely far away..
"Come on, trust me"
"Stop pushing me, I'll do it in a minute," you said the last part more to yourself as you stared from the edge of the tiny platform you were standing on, meters high, just below the circus ceiling. Every muscle in your body was tense, your hands gripping the single railing so tightly that your knuckles stood out white.
"Love, don't get lost in your thoughts," Eret called again, and you looked from the floor a dizzying distance away to the brunette sitting in the white ring a few feet from you, one hand around the ribbon-wrapped metal, the other extended invitingly toward you.
"You make it all look so easy," you sighed, taking a step back uncertainly. Eret actually made everything look easy, he had never had any problems learning any new stunt quickly and easily, while you often ended up facing one and the same problem:
Your fears of falling.
It was ridiculous, after all the years that you had been flying and jumping on the trapeze and in the air of the circus tent, to still be afraid of falling, especially when you were practicing and performing with Eret, who would never allow you to get hurt.
And yet your head built up a mental barrier every time.
"I believe in you" Eret said, looking at you with a smile "I know you can do this".
Your grip on the railing loosened and the tension in your shoulders fell away as well. Carefully you took another step back, this time not to escape but to press your toes against the ground below. Placing one leg in front of the other you focused on Eret's outstretched hand, which was now joined by his second.
"Jump, I promise I'll catch you".
And without thinking about it, you leapt forward and jumped.
For a moment there was nothing, only the fear of being forgotten by Eret and that he had broken his promise, only the sound of your falling body in the air. The moment was far too short to really think about what would happen if Eret didn't catch you in time, because before you could even form the next thought, there were two strong hands clasping yours.
You jerked your head up, your vision blurred from the quick movement, and the only thing you could see clearly was Eret's loving smile as he pulled you up to him, as promised, until you could sit on his lap. Pressed flat against his chest, his arms folded behind your back to keep you from falling, you could do nothing but stare into his eyes.
Stars danced in them, golden reflections of single points of light in a bright blue sea, and the longer you looked into Eret's eyes, the clearer something else became in his gaze, something that threatened to overwhelm you, so clear and so close it suddenly seemed.
Not much closer and you could give yourself to him, give yourself to the feelings that were so obvious between you-
"Oh, excuse me."
You almost didn't hear the words at all, lost in the deepest memories, and only the clang of one of the buckets filled with hand chalk as Eret tried to stumble back behind the curtain drew your weary gaze to him.
Instantly, your eyes widened.
He was wearing his workout clothes, tight black leggings that accentuated his long slender legs and one of his many gray shirts tucked neatly into the waistband of his pants. You didn't know how he had managed it, but his otherwise manageable curls were tied into a high braid, except for perhaps two or three recalcitrant strands that seemed to brazenly refuse to be held and hung down into his face.
You used to brush them away from him, or always carried two small hair clips with you, as he constantly forgot his.
At the very bottom of the closet next to your door they still lay, one white clip and one gold clip, probably covered in dust by now, just like the rest of the little mementos of Eret and your time together.
You arched your back and slid down from the ring, landing in the sand with a clearing of your throat, disguised to hide your suddenly raw throat. Without saying anything, you watched as Eret placed the bucket back with the others before the brunette climbed over the edge of the ring and remained seated there.
Though the two of you were only a few feet apart, there was so much more between you. Things unspoken, repressed, ignored - everything pushed you apart, prevented you from even looking him in the face properly.
Instead, you stared at the sand in front of you, trying to ignore the strong tugging in your chest that wanted to get to Eret.
"I didn't mean to interrupt, go ahead," Eret spoke, and surprised due to the gentleness in his voice, you jerked your head up from the suddenly far too interesting sand.
You frowned, waiting for some stupid comment, as you had been doing for a year, but Eret remained silent, continuing to look at you with the same desire in his gaze.
You hated him for that, hated that despite everything he kept looking at you as if he could pull you the stars from the sky, as if you were the most innocent being in this world, because after everything you had done, what you had said, he should hate you and make you feel how much you had hurt him.
You hated him for staying true to his promise of "I will always wait for you" and reminding you every day what a bad person you were.
"We should train together."
You surprised yourself with the suggestion, the words had spilled out of you even before you could think twice about it and now lay in an awkward silence before you both.
Eret raised one of his arched brows, eyeing you in a way that sent goosebumps all over your body. "Are you sure?" he asked, and to your shock, all warmth was gone from his voice.
Uncertainly you took a step back, trying to escape his piercing gaze, while knowing full well, here in the middle of the ring, there was no place to hide yourself or your feelings. As always, even the smallest part of you was on display in front of Eret. He could see everything, from your tense shoulders, to the twitch in your mouth as you pondered your own words, unsure of what to answer now that he had caught you cold.
And as quickly as his vulnerable side had come, it was gone, and his thin lips turned into a smile, even if it looked a little forced. "I mean, are you done with your exercise? Shouldn't we rather talk briefly about what we're going to do tonight?", his words didn't give you their intended reassurance, there was something else in them quite covertly, a reproach that you could understand.
Nevertheless, in a few hours you had to perform in front of an audience, your personal problems had no place in the ring.
It was hard to concentrate when your eyes were constantly searching for Eret and your heart wanted to avoid any contact, if it could be avoided. You were supposed to be getting the ropes and weights for the trapeze and the swing made of light birch wood with the shiny silver cloths on their ropes, ready for your rehearsal, while Eret was stretching and warming up on the wooden floor next to the ring.
Supposed.
Because in the time Eret had taken to warm up completely, you had just managed to accidentally knot and then unknot four of the ropes, and the swing was hanging way too high, even for Eret. Just like the ropes, you felt a knot in your heart and lungs as Eret rushed to your aid and you stood beside him with bated breath, forced to watch near him as he corrected your mistakes, as he so often did, with a steady hand and a slight smile.
You couldn't step away from him fast enough once everything was ready and without consulting him further you went to the other side of the ring where a thin ladder led high under the tent.
You knew Eret's gaze was on you as you began the climb, but you tried to ignore it and continued stubbornly climbing the cold rungs higher and higher. Eret seemed to realize that there was no point in just standing around waiting for you to coordinate further with him, because he checked the ropes one last time. Then he took a running start, pressed his heels into the ground, and ran toward the ring in the middle.
As much as you wanted to concentrate on your own climb, a little peek couldn't hurt, and attracted by Eret's sprint, you looked just in time to see Eret's hands get a grip on the ring. He gave it a quick tug and jumped, the moment one of the weights fell on its side, sending him hurtling up with the ring.
Even from a distance, you could see the two strands of hair falling reluctantly into his face.
It was strange to step on top of the platform and the narrow plank and see Eret instead of Foolish's beaming laughter. While Foolish would now be swinging back and forth, distracting you, Eret sat elegantly in the ring, legs crossed, most likely going over all the forms and exercises in his mind. When he saw you were ready, he smiled at you and sat up straight.
"Are you ready?"
"Are you ready?" whispered Eret in your ear from behind. You hadn't even heard him coming through the thunderous applause of the audience and winced slightly at the sound of his deep voice so close to you. Your heart began to beat faster. It didn't help your nervousness that Eret was gently stroking his fingertips over your free arms and resting his chin on your head.
You pressed closer to him, leaning into the embrace to calm your nerves. "Yes."
From behind the curtain, Wilbur's loud voice rang through the microphone and echoed in the packed tent, vibrating with the excitement of the many people who had squeezed into the rows of seats and now leaned further forward in anticipation.
"Dear audience, my dear children, it is with pleasure that I now introduce the highlight of our evening: the royal couple of the skies!"
People seemed to explode, jumping up from their seats and shouting your names, clapping their hands frantically or drumming their feet on the ground, which began to shake under the mass.
Eret stepped to your side and held out his hand to you. Both your faces reflected the biggest grins, the anticipation and adrenaline of performing now flowing hotly through your veins. Eret shone in the bright lights of the circus tent, beaming like the sun in his golden and sparkling outfit.
"Then let's fly"
What was wrong with you today? You cursed yourself mentally for your emotionality, it had no place in the ring! It was of no use to you to think about old times, if these were banished to the darker sides of your memory. After all, that had been the point. You didn't want your feelings for Eret to make your work harder, and that's why you had broken off contact completely.
So why wouldn't your head stop bombarding you with the beautiful moments?
You shook yourself.
"We can start," you called out to Eret.
Please let this training become normal, was all you told yourself like a mantra.
And for the first half-hour, everything seemed normal. Both Eret and you fell into work mode as soon as you took a running start and jumped off the platform into his waiting arms.
No racing heart, no faltering breath, not even a goosebump flitted over your body as you turned in the air. Okay, maybe you had had a brief trip of your heart once when Eret was just hanging off the ring with his legs holding you by your back so you were looking him straight in the white eyes, but you blocked that out. You didn't have to talk much during practice, the previously arranged choreo, from which you had adopted and restructured many elements from previous years, still sat clearly in both of your minds and so the only comments were about your posture or when you needed a little help from the other.
All was going well until you climbed the ladder for the last repetition and were greeted at the top with the feeling of not being able to breathe.
Your thoughts were all about the fear of jumping into Eret's arms in front of an audience. An audience that was probably happy to see you and Eret together again. They will notice the strange vibes, they will notice that something is different.
Nothing is the same anymore. Your performance will never have the same effect on people as it did a year ago, how are you supposed to have the courage to jump?
They hit you out of nowhere, making you take a step back in shock. Blindly, your hands grabbed the railing, clinging to it hard enough that your fingernails met the heels of your hands and dug lightly into the flesh there.
"Are you all right?" you heard Eret's voice slightly muffled, it was as if you had water in your ears.
"Yes, of course," you answered. Your own voice sounded foreign, far from yourself, like a fake copy.
"Are you sure?" he pecked, and something snapped inside you.
It wasn't even Eret's fault, it never had been. It was your fears that had fought their way to the surface, where they gnawed at your nerves and made you feel all sorts of things. Most of all, though, you were angry at yourself for always wanting to be the unapproachable one, not letting any feelings get in the way of your career, and thus driving away the one person who had taken to your heart.
Nevertheless, you pointed your gun at Eret.
Your head snapped up, sparkling eyes boring into Eret, who had leaned toward you with concern. "Why wouldn't everything be okay?" you almost hissed at him, not recognizing yourself in the ugly words you threw at him "Can we get this shit over with already? I have to get ready for tonight, and I really don't feel like wasting my time here. I never had these jump problems with Foolish."
You regretted everything as soon as it left your mouth, but it had already left its damage.
Eret winced, losing the gleam in his eyes that you normally loved, and with it every bit of vitality was taken out of his posture. He fell into the ring like a doll whose ropes had been cut, holding on only by necessity so as not to fall into the depths.
You had told him all sorts of things a year ago, from excuses why you couldn't come to training, then not to come near him in general, and finally why it would be better if you had a new training partner from now on; none of those conversations had left Eret as beaten as this did now.
Your chest quivered with your rapid, panicked breaths. It felt like you had just run a marathon.
Everything inside you was screaming at you to apologize, wanting to feel that warm smile again, and you wanted to take back the words you said then.
"I can't perform with you anymore, I can't let you distract me".
Instead, you lifted your chin and blinked away the tears that had formed in your eyes after your outburst. You couldn't cry now, not when it was all your fault.
"Shall we continue?"
"Why even force yourself onto the trapeze if you're afraid of falling?"
"What?" You pause.
"Why do you have that moment every workout where you stare frozen into the nothing as if you're waiting for it to come for you?" asked Eret, looking at you blankly "Just explain that to me, then we can end this whole thing. We should have trained enough for opening night"
"Because my trust in you is bigger than the fear of falling" Your answer was no more than a soft whisper in the huge tent where it should have been swallowed by the sounds of your surroundings, and yet you realized that Eret had understood you perfectly.
That spark was back in his eyes, a tiny bit of hope grown by your choice of words.
You, in turn, felt hopeless. Without saying goodbye to Eret, you turned on your heel. It was quite awkward, after all, you had to climb all the way back down the ladder, while Eret remained sitting at the top in the ring. One step after the other you climbed down, but on the last one you slipped slightly from the metal. This little mishap ended in your knee hitting the ladder, and your howl of pain echoed throughout the tent. After that there was nothing for you to hold on to, no reason to stop your tears. All the problems of the whole day, from the humiliating talk with Wilbur to the fight with Eret and that little accident on the ladder were the last straw.
Tears smeared your escape from the tent and ran hot down your cheeks. You didn't care that the circus place was filling up by now and you had to run through the many members of this big family who were in the final preparations. All the shouted questions about your well-being were ignored, they wouldn't be able to help you anyway.
In your trailer, the slamming of the door caused Foolish to jolt up from his nap, squealing, eyes tired, until you drop down next to him on the bed in the small two-room trailer, crying.
"Oh my god, what happened? Are you all right? Did you fall? Did you go to practice?", Foolish ambushed you with questions that you managed to answer with a shake of your head.
Your lip quivered as you tried to explain the situation to him. "Will gave me a new partner because you're not allowed" you sniffled after wiping your nose with the tissue Foolish had given you and calming down a bit "I'm supposed to perform all season with Eret" Saying the name made you howl again.
"Ouhh," Foolish took a deep breath "Now I understand the crocodile tears. That's no reason to cry"
You wrinkled your nose "Then you don't understand anything. I can't perform with him anymore"
Understanding, Foolish nodded thoughtfully. "Because you're still in love with him"
Outraged, you looked at him through a curtain of new tears. Surely he couldn't be serious? "Am not!" you contradicted him, desperately searching for a good reason why you couldn't perform with Eret. All the reasons you could think of were matters of the heart.
But you couldn't be in love with Eret, then you would have spent the whole year ignoring him for absolutely nothing except two broken hearts. You didn't want to see that, it hurt too much to admit it. You were not in love, you just decided not to be.
Two thumbs gently stroked your flushed cheeks, wiping at the sticky remnants of tears before Foolish handed you another handkerchief to wipe your nose. "I was wondering when you'd finally realize it. Took you long enough, although with the size of your stubborn head, I'm not surprised."
If you weren't busy second-guessing every decision you've made in the last 300 days, you would have definitely smacked him for that comment.
"What if my work suffers from a relationship?" you asked quietly before snorting "If it ever comes to that. Eret will never be able to forgive me, my god, even I can't forgive myself."
Foolish rolled his eyes and patted your head, he didn't know exactly how to comfort someone who had lived in ignorance to their feelings, but sometimes he saw Will pat Tommy's head like that when the boy had done his job well. "You can only find that out for yourself. I don't think you're afraid of losing your career, but rather falling if the relationship doesn't work out, which I don't think it will. Besides, Eret is clearly smarter than you, I wouldn't compare you to him."
You looked up, warning him with one gaze and pointed to your chest, "I'm sitting here crying my heart out, and you're making fun of me? Great best friend I've picked there."
"What? I'm not making fun of you, I would never think of it."
"That's right, you've got nothing but stupid ideas floating around," you grumbled. The man next to you was about to object when you tapped lightly against the cast on his leg. "Don't say anything. This is actually your fault, Foosh. It all goes back to you trying to show off in front of Sam. What are you looking at me like that for? I know I'm right... Hey!" Protesting, you tried to fight back against Foolish, who had started pushing you out of bed, muttering to himself, at the mention of Sam the muscleman and sword swallower.
"You help once and get rewarded with something like this" He clicked his tongue and pressed his hand against your face as you struggled. "Come on crybaby. Shouldn't you be getting ready?"
You paused in your movement. Sure enough, dusk had already set in, flooding your trailer in warm reds and pinks. Outside in the square, the first lanterns were already shining, and if you weren't mistaken, there were even visitors walking around.
"Oh fuck."
You had never changed so quickly as you did today. You should get a medal for that, because squeezing into that sparkly white suit was a sport. Fortunately, Foolish sat on your bed and uttered all sorts of phrases that you could use to explain to Eret why you had acted the way you had. That half of these ideas could be scratched for the simple reason that you were guaranteed not to apologize to him with "I was too stupid to know what I was feeling" was not necessarily helpful. But it did feel good to know Foolish was on your side, even if he had to work on his comforting.
"And remember not to cry again, that wouldn't help at all with the performance, you have to see everything after all"
"Yes yes I will try. Oh my heart, I can't believe what I'm doing right now" you talked to yourself while jumping from one foot to the other while putting on your sneakers. "Foolish I can't do this," you howled as you snapped the last latch shut and already had a hand on the doorknob. "What if he hates me? He's going to hate me, I hate myself for it. He won't catch me, what if he doesn't catch me? Foo-"
"It'll be alright!", Foolish interrupted you smiling "Get lost or you'll run out of time".
The door had flown open and you were almost through the frame when you ran back in. Under Foolish's questioning gaze, you ripped at the handle of the small brown dresser next to the door, pulling it open hard enough that the small plant on top began to shake dangerously. You rummaged through all the stuff - why did you have to own so much stuff? - until your fingertips brushed metal.
Holding two hair clips tightly in your clenched fist, you ran across the meadow, past the many dark caravans whose inhabitants had all long since migrated to the large square. At one trailer, a snow-white one with a golden door frame and shutters, you stopped, your free hand raised to knock.
Thump, thump, thump
Your heart beat just as fast as your hand against the door, thump thump thump, in one beat.
Knock knock knock
No response.
Thump thump thump, your feet kept running, faster than you could think and yet every step made you realize more clearly what a mistake you had made then.
Your legs carried you through the ankle-high grass to the colorful fairground that had come to life with the evening. You walked under the tall entrance arch onto the gravel path, under the illuminated large letters of the circus "Cirque des Symphonies". Lanterns lit the crowded square where visitors gathered, moving from one of the many booths whose sales tables offered stuffed animals, homemade candles and souvenirs of the circus to the next. Couples strolled around arm in arm, sat cuddled together on the small Ferris wheel, or had themselves drawn by your painter Niki in front of the big circus tent. Colorful flags, strung from lamppost to lamppost waved in the light breeze, attracting the attention of the many children who ran laughing across the square, or begged their parents for a toy.
The smell of sweet cotton candy tantalized your nose as you scanned the entire square for Eret, because usually he was always mingling with the visitors or sitting on the fence of the petting zoo, introducing your rabbits and chickens to the children. But in the enclosure today was only Wilbur's nephew, Fundy. He shook his head when you asked if he had seen Eret.
No one seemed to have seen the trapeze artist, not your tarot card reader Dream, nor sword swallower Sam, nor your doctor Ponk, both of whom were inquiring about Foolish's welfare when you encountered them. You tried the other acrobatic team of Phil and Techno, horse whisperer George, and fire breather Sapnap, but they all just passed you on, many of them with knowing faces, at your sudden need to find Eret.
You already thought you had asked everyone, when you ran into Tommy and Tubbo, the two youngest members of your troupe, who were handing out balloons to the kids and messing around with Ranboo in front of the ticket booth.
"Of course, he's with Puffy helping her get the animals ready" Gratefully you smiled at Ranboo.
"Do you want a balloon, (y/n)?", Tubbo asked you, holding the many colorful balloons in your face.
"You can have one of mine, too," Tommy interjected.
"Or one of mine"
"Mine are nicer"
"Mine have much more air"
"But (y/n) will like mine more, right (y/n)? (y/n)?"
You hadn't even heard all of the competition between the two boys, but had hurried on directly after the information from Ranboo and were already pushing aside the curtain to the back entrance of the tent when Tommy noticed you were missing.
With the curtain closing behind you, the sounds from outside became quieter, laughter and children's screams were drowned out by the loud beating of your heart and the rushing blood in your ears as you trailed across the sand strewn for the animals. You were about to turn the corner when you heard a deep laugh and stopped abruptly.
"Don't give it much thought," you whispered to yourself.
And stepped out of the shadows.
Just as Ranboo had told you, Eret stood next to Puffy, dressed in his gold skin-tight suit and his brown hair in a braided bun. He looked stunning in the dim light, just as he had a year ago. Ghosts of the past crept up your neck, gnawing their way into your heart and stealing your breath. All that mattered was him, there was no other thing for your thoughts to revolve around.
Outside it got quieter, the crowd started to fill the tent and their voices pushed to you, pushed you.
You didn't have much time.
Slowly, you approached them. Puffy was the first to catch sight of you and, like everyone else, seemed to understand what was going on because she didn't hesitate a bit, wished both of you good luck and disappeared behind a curtain to her animals.
Surprised at the "both of you", Eret turned to you, immediately there was that sadness in his eyes again, even if he smiled sadly at your, matching his, outfit. "Are you ready?" he asked you and you almost turned on your heels, but you didn't want to experience Foolish's wrath at that any less than what you wanted to tell him.
"No" You took a deep breath "No I'm not ready. Not yet. I have something to tell you, maybe I'll be ready after this, but first I want to talk to you", you began, staring into the sand on the ground because you knew you would break down if you had to look Eret in the eyes.
All those years of jumping from trapeze to trapeze, you never felt so much in free fall as you do now.
It was funny, suddenly the jumps you had hesitated before didn't even seem like the one you had in front of you. All the fears, all the worries and panic, sleepless nights tossing and turning, and all the tears you had cried over the absence of Eret in your life, all of that lay beneath you as you cautiously took a step toward Eret.
You had your words ready, they were on your tongue, ready to give them to Eret with your heart when the brunette cleared his throat.
"No matter what you're about to tell me, I want you to know one thing beforehand. For me, nothing has changed since last year. I don't just like you, (y/n).. I am so in love with you that it breaks my heart knowing that you hate me so much you wouldn't even want to work with me. After tonight, I will talk to Will. I'm sure we can find another replacement. One, that can give you the comfort i apparently can't provide"
Had it not been for the thunderous applause of the audience behind the curtain, the breaking of your heart would have probably been heard by everybody. Instead, clapping filled the deafening silence, followed by the onset of the music that always accompanied Will during his entrance.
You opened your mouth, but no words would come out.
The time in which neither of you spoke dragged on crushingly, and yet only a few seconds seemed to have passed before Will's voice sounded through the speakers, giving you the very signal to line up.
No time, you had no time.
"We have to go," Eret whispered, visibly defeated, not even bothering to smile like he was okay anymore. "Let's talk afterwards"
"No," you said urgently "This can't wait any longer."
The pure desperation in your voice seemed to change Eret's mind. Although the first performances had already begun, he turned away from the curtain leading to the ring. Hope blossomed in your chest, growing through Eret's waiting gaze. You moved closer until he noticed the trembling of your hands, still tightly gripping the hair clips.
"I love you Eret, I love you so much it hurts to think about what all could have been if I hadn't been so stupid," you cried out, once again close to crying, which only made you more emotional because you weren't supposed to cry after all, you had promised Foolish. "Eret, I was so stupid. I never wanted no contact, but that seemed easier than telling you how I felt or being around you every day when I was burned by your presence alone. I was too much of a coward, still am, because it took me so long to understand how much of a fuck up I was and admit it, but I can't live in that lie anymore. You don't deserve that."
It was almost impossible to hold back the tears, but somehow you managed. Somehow you even managed to stretch out a trembling hand to Eret. "Please," you begged him, "I don't hate you and there is no other person I trust like you. I give you my life and my heart"
Before you knew it, Eret had pulled you close to him by your outstretched hand. His lips found yours faster than you could realize what was happening and when you did, it was overwhelming.
Eret tasted like cotton candy and petrichor, and he kissed you as if the world was about to end. Startled, a gasp escaped you, adrenaline pumping through your veins as his hands held you tight, preventing you from sinking into his arms as your trembling knees indicated.
You fell. Fell for Eret, his hands that never wanted to let you go again, you fell for his lips and the leap of your heart every time he kissed you again and again, every time with a wider smile forming against your mouth.
"I love you", he muttered"I love you, I love you, I love you"
Eret pressed his forehead against yours, white pupils wandering across your face in disbelief.
In the background, the drums started beating.
In the same beat as your heart, in the same beat as Erets.
For the first time in a year, you were in a rhythm, on the same page.
"I have something for you"
"There can be something better than your heart and your life?" Eret sniffed, wiping one tear out of his eyes.
At the sight of the hair clips, another tear rolled down Eret's powdered cheeks, and after you gently pinned his loose hair strands back, he pulled you into another kiss that left you breathless.
You almost missed Will's announcement, the calling of both your names. Your heart leaped in your chest as you felt Eret's hand in yours. Taking one last deep breath, you tried to focus on something other than the feel of his lips on yours and looked up at him.
"Are you ready? Then let's fly."

Better Than a Dedicated Chicken-Technoblade
One of you lovelies requested a Part two to A Dedicated Pig… So I hope I did it justice!! I hope you enjoy!!
Part One! Part Three! Part Four
  my masterlist here
This is a Techno x gn reader in the Dreamsmp! This will not 100% follow what actually happened at the festival
Y/N gets to see Techno again thanks to the upcoming festival in Manberg.
Y/N’s POV
“A festival?” I questioned the young boy that stood in front of me. Tubbo grinned and nodded motioning to the invite in my hands. “Yeah! Schlatt thought that it would be a great idea! He said it would be a celebration of Manberg and democracy.” I subtly rolled my eyes at that, but nodded with a sweet smile at the boy. “There’s going to be games, food, and drinking for those of age. Niki is going to help cater, as I’m sure you’ll find out soon since she’s going to need extra supplies.” I hummed and nodded once more. “Sounds fun Tubbo” “So you’ll come?” Tubbo asked excitedly. I giggled and ruffled the young boy’s hair, “Of course Tubbs. I can’t wait.” Tubbo let out an excited squeal before wishing me goodbye and running away.
I chuckled at his excitement before turning and closing the door. I pinned the invite to my food chest so that I would see it and not forget. I spent the next few hours taking care of things around the farm. If what Tubbo said is true, I would need to be prepared to feed basically the entire server. As I collected the eggs from the chickens, a knock sounded on my front door. I was slightly confused, but figured it was Niki coming to inform me about catering the festival. I was wrong.
“Technoblade” I uttered in surprise, “What are you doing here?” I questioned. Techno gave me a half shrug, “I wanted to see you…” He answered, entering my barn as I moved out of the doorway “Also Tubbo said he had something for me and asked me to come to Manberg to pick it up.” He answered, waving his hand around. In his hand was an invitation identical to mine. “You got invited to the festival,” I observed. I was a little surprised seeing as he was currently helping Wilbur and Tommy. “Yep,” He said, popping the p, “And I see you were as well.” “Well I would hope so considering I’m a citizen of Manberg”
Techno chuckled at my answer, shaking his head at my words, “Oh yeah, forgot about that part.” The two of us chuckled together about his momentary forgetfulness. “I was just collecting eggs from the chickens, do you want to help?” I asked, motioning to where the chickens were housed. “Sure,” Techno answered. I gave him a smile before turning on my heel and walking toward the chicken coup.
“Girls, this is Techno,” I stated out loud as I introduced the chickens to my friend, “He’s here to help. Be nice.” I demanded, giving them a playful glare. The chickens glanced at me, clucked, and went back to what they were doing. Techno let out a chuckle at my words. I couldn’t help but blush at the sound, I guess it would be kind of silly, hearing me talk to the chickens. I cleared my throat before moving back toward where my basket sat, half-full of eggs.
“So basically, for the most part, the girls will let you take their eggs without a fight. They’ll get up and reveal the egg to you so you can grab it. If she doesn’t, just reach under her and grab it. They may cluck angrily, but they’re all cluck and no peck.” I explained, picking up an egg from a nest. Techno gave me a dutiful nod before turning to a nest and pulling out an egg.
The two of us worked in a comfortable silence, broken occasionally by an angry cluck causing both of us to chuckle. More than once I felt Techno’s stare on my figure. I would look up and meet his eyes and he would then immediately look away and go back to picking up eggs, a subtle blush on his cheeks. It made me smile and blush as well.
As I placed the last egg in my basket, Techno cleared his throat, “Um. There’s something I want to ask you.” He stated nervously. I set the basket in a safe location before meeting Techno’s eyes, “What’s up?” I questioned, placing my hands on my hips. “I was wondering… If maybe… You’d want to go to the festival?” He asked. I furrowed my brow in confusion, “Yeah I want to go to the festival! Tubbo said Niki was catering so I’ll be there to help with that…” I answered, very confused at his question. Techno let out a little laugh confusing me even more, “No… Um… I meant do you want to go to the festival… with me.” He explained. “Oh,” I squeaked, “Like a date?” I pondered. “Like a date,” Techno confirmed, nerves lacing his voice. I didn’t have to think about it at all, “I would love that!” I exclaimed with a grin.
Techno’s face instantly lit up as a grin overtook his face. “Oh, awesome! I didn’t expect you to say yes,” He admitted. I giggled at his confession, “Well I did and now I can’t wait.” I beamed. “Okay, so the day of, do you want me to pick you up or just meet you there?” He asked. I let out a hum, thinking for a moment, “We can just meet there because I’ll have to help Niki set up and then we can go from there? So I’ll just meet you at the food table at, say, 3?” Techno gave me a smile and nod, “Sounds good” I grinned at the pink haired man’s words.
Suddenly, a knock sounded at my door once more, breaking us out of our bubble. “Who’s that?” Techno questioned. I picked up the egg basket and carried it out of the room as the two of us made our way to the front door, “Not sure. But it’s probably Niki.” I informed the pink haired man. He let out a hum in acknowledgement. “Okay. I’m going to stay here until you’re sure though. I’m still not really supposed to be here.” I let out a giggle, but nodded.
I set the eggs down in my kitchen before moving to the door. I swung it open and sure enough, there stood my best friend. “Hey Niki!” I greeted loudly, moving out of the way, letting her in the barn. “Hey Y/N” Niki greeted me back, a little bit confused by my loud tone. Her unspoken question was answered when Technoblade walked out from his hiding spot. “Hi Niki.” He also greeted the girl. “Oh! Hello Techno.” She greeted in surprise. I had told Niki all about how I had met Techno. She was a little weary at first, but once I told her more, she became supportive.
“It was great seeing you guys but I’ve got to get back to Pogtopia as I’m really not supposed to still be here.” Techno confessed, “I’ll see you guys at the festival though, yeah?” Techno asked, staring straight at me. I gave the man a soft smile and gentle nod, “Yeah. I’ll--We’ll see you there” I stated, quickly correcting myself. “Yeah, we’ll see you there.” Niki teased, stressing the we in the sentence. Techno gave us both a nod before he left out my front door. It was silent between me and my best friend for a moment before Niki broke it, “So the festival huh?”
*Time skip to the festival*
I let out a sigh as I set down the last crate of cookies on the food table. I had helped Niki bake and bring all of the food items that Schlatt had requested at the festival and now it was time to sit back and enjoy the festival. “Hey,” a familiar voice greeted me from behind. I turned around and smiled at the man. “Hey,” I greeted Techno back. “You look really nice,” He complimented, rubbing the back of his head, a faint blush on his cheeks. My cheeks also flushed as my hands smoothed down my outfit. I had purposefully worn the outfit I felt the cutest in with hopes of impressing Techno on our date. “Thank you. You do too.” I complimented back. Techno gave me a soft smile before extending his hand to me, “Shall we,” I giggled and took his hand, “We shall,”
The two of us walked around for a bit, talking about life, munching on snacks, and just looking at the pretty decorations. Our conversation was cut off by a voice announcing that the dunk tank was now open for business. “You want to go dunk some nerds?” Techno questioned, looking over to the minigame. I giggled at his phrasing, but nodded in agreement.
Ponk sat in the tank first. It took a few tries, but he was eventually dunked causing him to scowl. Niki was next. I laughed loudly as she brought herself up for air. Niki playfully threatened to hug me if I didn’t shut my mouth. Her words simply made me giggle even more. Then to my surprise, Techno volunteered to sit in the tank. Everyone missed their shots. I couldn’t tell if it was because they had bad aim or were just too nervous to dunk the Blood God. I, however, was not scared of the Blood God’s wrath.
There was a huge gasp as I hit the button, submerging the pink haired man. Techno slowly rose up from the water. His head lifted from looking down at the water as he made eye contact with me. “Oh you’re so going to regret that,” Techno claimed with a playful glare. “Bring it,” I challenged, not at all threatened by the man’s demeanor. That being said, I had no idea Techno had a trident with channeling on it. So I was in for a surprise when the man suddenly appeared in front of me, staring me down.
Everyone was silent at the interaction. Most probably thought they were about to see me lose a cannon life. But I knew better. “Don’t you dare.” I muttered to the pink haired man. Techno said nothing, he only gave me a grin. In one swift motion, Techno had wrapped me up in his arms, swinging me around. “Hey!” I cried out, “You jerk! Now I’m all wet!” I claimed with a pout. Techno let me go, the grin still not leaving his face. “You asked for it. You told me to bring it. Consider it brought.” I rolled my eyes, but laughed. “You know what. You’re right.” “I always am.”
After drying off, we moved on to our next minigame, boxing. I had opted out of actually participating, but that didn’t stop me from standing around the ring cheering on the others. Tubbo surprisingly won against Quackity. Schlatt not so surprisingly won by cheating against Fundy. Techno, once again, surprising everyone by participating in the games. Tech was disappointed when he found out that they would be fighting without weapons. He took a moment to collect himself away from everyone before he came back to fight Fundy. We all watched in amazement as Fundy went down in just three simple hits.
I giggled as Techno found his way back to my side, gloating about his victory. As he got closer, I noticed dark red circles radiating from the man’s body, causing me to giggle harder. “Quite the amazing amount of strength you got there.” I mumbled to the man, reaching up and grabbing his hand, intertwining our fingers. Techno looked down at me with a raised eyebrow, “I have no idea what you’re talking about,” The grin that plastered itself on his face told me otherwise. I rolled my eyes with a soft smile before leaning up on my toes and planting a cheek to Techno’s cheek. “You’re lucky you’re cute”
For the next half hour or so, everyone hung around the snack table. There was lots of laughter, snacking, story swapping, and drinking as the whole nation gathered together. The sun began to set, causing Schlatt to announce it was time for the speeches. Schlatt gave his speech first, thanking everyone for coming and how great the nation was now that he was in charge. Quackity’s speech followed along the same lines. As the moon rose, Tubbo took center stage. He delivered a very heartfelt speech about democracy and how we could build Manberg to be bigger and better.
“And now, Technoblade has prepared something special to show us.” Tubbo said, motioning down toward where the two of us sat. I furrowed my brow in confusion. He didn’t tell me he had something special. Techno squeezed my hand in a silent form of comfort, before letting go of my hand. Techno took out a crossbow, but it wasn’t a normal crossbow. In place of the arrow that usually sat in the nock of the bow, a firework took its place. Techno aimed the crossbow to the sky and shot it.
Loud gasps and murmurs fell over the crowd as all eyes were trained on the rocket hurtling toward the sky. An explosion sounded as bright bursts of colorful light lit up the sky. I hadn’t seen fireworks in so long. I almost forgot how beautiful they were. One after another, Techno shot them into the sky. Beautiful and unique patterns I had never seen before filled the night sky. I really wish Tommy and Wilbur could have seen this.
“Last one,” Techno called as he loaded up the final firework into his crossbow. A disappointed groan escaped the lips of many, including my own, SMP members. The rocket flew through the sky before exploding. But instead of a pattern like the rest of the fireworks had been, this one was words. My jaw dropped as I read the words that were written in the sky. “Y/N. Will you be my partner?” My head snapped to find a nervous Technoblade already looking at me. “I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you since the moment we met. You weren’t afraid of me and you gave me a chance to show you the real me. I’ve had an amazing and fun time tonight and I would love for you to be my partner.” Techno admitted softly.
I couldn’t help myself. I lurched forward, wrapped my arms around Techno’s neck, and brought him down into a soft kiss. Around us, the members of the server burst into applause. I pulled back ever so slightly from the kiss, “In case you couldn’t tell. I had an amazing and fun time tonight too and I really, really like you.” I whispered gently. Techno grinned at my confession, “Does that mean it’s a yes?” “I think you know it is.” “I think I know so too.” Techno proceeded to close the small gap between us, kissing me once again.
“You know?” I said, after pulling back again, “Between sneaking into Manberg to see me, collecting eggs with me, cheating in minigames to impress me, and using fireworks to ask me out… I guess I could call you one dedicated pig.” I teased my new boyfriend. Techno playfully scoffed at my words and rolled his eyes, “You know what? It’s better than being a dedicated chicken trying to kill you,” he teased back, poking at my sides causing me to giggle. “You got me there… You got me there”
There you have it! I hope you enjoyed! If so be sure to leave a like! Maybe even a reply or reblog telling me what your favorite part was!! Until next time!

Memories (Foolish x GN reader)
Notes: heavily implied AFAB as well as Reader being given different variations of momma/mommy. This turned out a bit sadder than I intended fuckin hell

Memories meant the world to Foolish. The memory of meeting you, your first kiss, and when you first spent the night were ingrained in his head. They were everything to him; especially since one-day he knew you wouldn't be here again.
Though seeing you now with his son? This might be the most special yet. Your baby boy sat wriggling in your arms. His eyes had yet to open but Foolish could already guess that they'd be green like his.
The baby's skin was already shining a gold color once all the blood was wiped away from his body. Tears fell from Foolish's eyes as he got closer to you. Sweat lined your forehead but you couldn't have been more beautiful.
"Can.. can I hold him?" Your husband's voice broke as he spoke to you. With a gentle chuckle you allowed your husband to take the baby in your arms; your precious son.
Holding the bundle in his arms, Foolish swayed to try and get Jr to open his eyes. "Common buddy. Lemme see your eyes" Foolish cooed at his son.
Puffy attended to you. Your bleeding had yet to stop but so far it was normal, just needed a few stitches to patch everything back up.
Jr kept wiggling around in his father's arms. Poor thing just wanted his momma so he cried out for them. Jr's crying broke his father's heart, did the baby already not like him?
With a swift hushing Puffy pulled the baby boy away from his father and placed him back to his momma.
"Dad?" Puffy turned to her son, a curious look settled on her features. "Are they supposed to be this tired? I know birth is hard but-"
Puffy cut off her boy. "Everything (Y/n) is experiencing is normal bubs. They'll get their strength back in due time"
But that was nearly two months ago. You had suddenly grown weaker. Puffy couldn't find a reason nor could Ponk. The two of them checked you over and over yet still found no reason why you got so sick.
However your baby boy kept getting stronger. After you and Foolish were home and got back settled into a routine Jr quickly found comfort within his father's arms. Sweet thing was passed around between aunts, uncles, and grandparents but he would cry and scream towards everyone of them till he was back in your or Foolish's arms.
Though Jr seemed the sense that his momma was getting weaker. His glassy eyes would only stop when he found you.
Time seemed to work in Foolish's favor. He tried everything he could think of but nothing seemed to make you better. Till eventually just four months after Jr was born you started to finally get better.
So everything got better. You started to become yourself again and eventually the two of you had another child. A baby girl named Fin.
Jr was around a year and a half when his sister was born and the boy wouldn't stay still as he wanted to see you. Once everything was said and done Jr couldn't wait to see his momma and sister.
His jumbled sentences calling for Foolish to let him see momma. "Calm down we're gonna see momma" papa's chuckles made Jr smile. Once finally in the room Jr cuddled up to you and asked to see Fin.
Finley was wrapped in Jr's old baby blanket and small fins poked out from her head and back. Tiny little scales littered parts of her skin and looked like freckles. She looked more like a shark than a totem, but she was very much still Foolish's daughter.
A familiar worry bubbled up in Foolish's stomach. Would you get sick again like you did after Jr's birth? Birth will always be hard, but maybe it was easier this time now that Finley was a second baby.
Sensing his worry you waved for your husband to come over. "I'll be okay love-" the sweetness in your voice could've made him cry, "But incase something happens promise me that you won't neglect the babies. They will need their father"
Foolish's kisses lingered longer than he intended. Your two children were now asleep in your arms, but Foolish still worried. Your smile, albeit rather tired, was still bright.
"Can I hold her?" the line brought a sense of nostalgia. A gentle smile rested on your face as you held your daughter out to your husband.
"Of course my love"
Rain fell in waves as your daughter slept against her father. He held an umbrella over himself and Jr. The little boy didn't understand what was going on but kept crying that mommy wouldn't be able to get up if they were in the dirt.
While somber Foolish didn't let his tears fall till well after his children's bed time. Finny was only 4 months old and Jr was almost 2 a widow in just a matter of months.
The atmosphere was somber as Puffy picked up her grandson and attempted to explain that mommy won't wake up again, but just gave up in the end. Silent tears would just run down the rams face.
Foolish wouldn't leave your grave for a while. His arms numb from holding his baby girl but she was still asleep; it was only her whimpers to the cold and rain did he think to finally return inside.
Once the children were down to sleep did Foolish finally let out a sob. Heart wrenching cries filled the living room as he poured his heart out to his hands. You had written a letter before you passed and he couldn't bring himself to read it, at least not now. Not after he had to bury you.
Memories meant everything to Foolish, and he didn't think that he could forget you any time soon. Though he could still see you from these memories and from your letter and he could still physically see you in your children.
Jr had your hair though it was much darker while Finny had your eyes. Beautiful (e/c) eyes always shined through the little girls iris'. He could see you in how Jr acted and the way he touched his sister; always so gentle just as you had taught him to be. Finny would always reach for the things she knew were yours.
It just brought him to tears however Foolish knew new memories would be made with you still in them. Your beautiful eyes and personality will always be present in your children.
After a few years, once he got a handle of caring for two children on his own, Foolish finally opened your letter. Elegant script was written on the page.
'My Dearest Foolish,
If you're reading this then I've died. Whether it be not long after I write this or after a long life I am still dead, though I have a feeling its the former. How have our children turned out? I don't know if Jr will understand and Finley will have no memory of me... Does Finny still have my eyes? Is Jr still gentle with Finny? I know little boys can be so rough..
But aside from such please know that I love you. If I held the choice I would've stayed longer, but I'm on my last life. Maybe Lady Death could give me a pass? Maybe I could come back and see my babies? Oh if I continue thinking like this I'm going to cry..
I love you more than anything in this universe and I love our children all the same. I know that some day you'll find another to love, maybe it'll be me reincarnated? Just.. don't dwell on my death too long, if not for me for our children. Jr and Finny deserve to see their father happy.
I do hope that the both of them know I love them very much.. I know memories mean everything to you so please make new ones with Jr and Finny. Let me live on through them.
Forever with love, your dearest (Y/n)'
Tears fell on the aged parchment. It had been weathered before, presumably from your tears, but new wrinkles formed. Foolish has new memories. Your children did keep you alive within them.
Finny's eyes, while hers, were still yours. Her eyes shown just as bright as yours once did. While Jr is as gentle as ever with his baby sister. Snowchester was a new home for them all when you died, but it now means so much to the babies.
Foolish covered his mouth as he leaned over the coffee table. He didn't notice the tiny feet padding towards him. Finley's small hands gripped at her fathers fore arm. Big (e/c) pools stared into him.
Acting as though he wasn't crying Foolish dried his eyes and picked up the little girl. "What are you doing here sweetheart?"
"I got cold" Finny mumbled to her father and curled into him. Her scales had turned a golden color after you had passed. It was a shame you couldn't have seen how pretty Finny turned out to be, even at 5.
"Where's bubbas then?" evening out his tone Foolish sat back with Finny. The snow outside had started back up again to add a new layer to the landscape.
"Bubba is playing with Michael still. Mr. Tubbo and Mr. Ranboo asked if I wanted to come inside, but I wanted to play with you" Finny looked up at Foolish. She was tired and wanted a nap so she cuddled further into her father.
"Well you look pretty tired, sweets, how about we just go to sleep?" Finny shook her head no and stared at the open letter.
"Why were you crying daddy?" Finny's voice was quiet. Almost like she wasn't supposed to ask the question.
"Well... I was remembering mommy and reading a letter she gave me.." squeezing his girl, Foolish rested his head on hers. Jr nor Finny had ever really asked about their mother.
"What was mommy like? Mr. Ranboo says she was really nice before she went to sleep for a long time.." Finny played with the ends of her hair as she spoke to her father. Memories of you flooded his mind. The most prominent thing was how loving you were. You gave up all 3 of your lives for people you cared for.
"Well.. mommy loved you and bubbas very much. She loved a lot of people. Mommy was also very kind and helpful.. She would do anything to make sure people were happy-"
"Do I look like Mommy?" Finley gazed at her hands. The golden freckles that glittered her skin were something she had seen on no one else.
"You look a lot like mommy, Finny" Foolish lied through his teeth. She had your eyes but looked very similar to him over all. But if his little girl is happy then what of it?
Seemingly satisfied with her prodding Finny became silent again, and soon enough her little snores alerted Foolish to the fact that she was asleep.
I don't think I'll ever forget you (Y/n), but Finny sure won't let me try

CONSTANT FEAR
In a nutshell, you are an enderdragon hybrid looking for your mom, whose taken by L'manberg, whilst meeting everyone in the SMP while not trying to be found out by your friends. Oh yeah, they suspect theres an enderdragon among them, so uh, good luck with that.
GN! They/them pronouns used. Descriptions of your character are occasionally implied but usually we’ll leave it up to you.
Most of the Dream SMP lore will NOT count here. There's some character personality changes like Dream not being a sadist.
The reveal won't come very.. soon. When we're heavy and deep into [Y.N] lore, the reveal that they are an enderdragon won't come soon.
Thought I'd mention, this will be sorta like a, "choose your own adventure" thing. The more notes a route has, (reblogs, replies DO NOT COUNT.) such as ex. interacting with hannahxxrose, that interaction becomes canon.
That Dream Team thing eggle posted? That's what their reactions would be if [Y.N] ended up on Sapnap's route.
Kate (me) handles stuff like this, and eggle writes.

☀︎︎The Rise and Fall☽
c!Wilbur x gn!reader
Song mentioned- Soldier,Poet, King by The Oh Hellos
Warning ⚠️ SBI dynamic, mentions of violence, some rough language
Current- Next
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From the very beginning you have been in their history, from the moment L’Manburg was created till the very moment it was destroyed. Those who are new don’t yet know your story but those who do either idolize you are hate you. This is your story...
Tumblr media
One day you were lounging around reading a bookshelf you got a knock on your door. As you weren’t expecting visitors you were very curious. You cautiously opens the door to find Tommy. You had always had a soft spot for the young child and his bestfriend, thus you allowed him to enter your home.
“Y/N, will you come help us?” He asked rather shyly for once “Help? With what?” You asked confused, as you stay away from others. “Me and some others have tried to start a new nation, L’Manburg, but Dream has waged a war on us, he and the rest of them are constantly trying to kill us, I had to go alone to get you, please come help us!” He explained desperately.
Having simpathy for the child you agreed, packing up your best weapons and armor and some extra food in case any of them needed some. With that the two of you went off into the night back to L’Manburg, where your destiny awaits.
Tumblr media
What Tommy didn’t tell you was that his older brother would be involved. You had met Wilbur once before when he first started the drug caravan, though that would be a story for another day.
Once the other notice you are there Tubbo runs up to you and hugs you. “Y/N I missed you so much, I can’t believe you’re here to help!” You chucked softly and hugged him back, “Of course I would help my favorite boys.” After a moment of hugging Tubbo you looked up, “Hello Wilbur, it’s nice to see you again.” He walked up to you took your hand and brought it up to his lips.
“It is lovely to see you again Y/N.” You became slightly flustered and tried to play it cool. “So what exactly is going on, Tommy only briefly explained it, Dreams trynna kill you all?” You asked looking Wilbur in the eye. As if a light bulb went off he began to explain the story. Of how the drug caravan evolved into L’Manburg.
The part that threw you off the most was when Wilbur said they won’t fight with weapons and won’t wear armor. He claimed that being diplomatic would be better than violent. “But you are going up against Dream, that’s not gonna work as well as you think Wilbur.” You explained to him how Dream and the others will have top of the armor and weapons. Wilbur only argued back and said none of us will fight with weapons and definitely no armor. You both argued enough that Wilbur agreed to only wear the armor when you all fight Dream.
Tumblr media
When you all walked out of the caravan in your new outfits you could see Dream and Sapnap on top of the walls. “Hello gentlemen, do you like the view of our nation?” Wilbur yelled up to them. “I thought this was a trailer park.” Dream had replied back causing you to let out a small huff. Wilbur yelled back, “We will meet you on the filed on our own terms!” “YEAH!” Tommy randomly yelled causing you to chuckle at the young boy.
You all geared up and began to walk to the meeting spot. Tommy began to talk to Dream and the others. You looked around noticing Sapnap making towards the ground and not at one of you. “Everyone get back! Now!” You yelled while distancing your self. When he fired tbt began to go off of where you all were just standing.
You all ran into another building while getting shot at, Tubbo had managed to get a hit in Punz before running inside. You shot a fire hitting Dream in the shoulder, then ran inside because they all shot at you at the same time. You stood back trying not to get hit from inside, watching as Wilbur did his best to help his men, although he was at a disadvantage against Dream, he still did his best.
You couldn’t help but to admire him, his optimism of this battle and how hard he is working to make sure his men are okay, warmed you heart. Wilbur than ran out to be a distraction while the rest of you shot at Dream and the others, you managed to get 2 hits on Dream and one on Sapnap.
“RETREAT!” Dream yelled out while they all ran to Ponks tower. You all ran to Punz’s tower and shot at them, causing Dream to retreat once more. Eret had led you all back into L’Manburg, but something felt off to you. He claimed it was a secret weapon that he had been working on. You looked at Wilbur confused just to see he also had no idea about it.
You all followed him into the room title, The Final Contorl Room. There was a button on the floor which was very suspicious to you. Eret than hit the button and arrows shot out you quickly ran over to Wilbur to help him get out as he was the furthest in the back, everyone ran out as quickly as they could. “TRAITOR!” “Down with the revolution boys, it was never meant to be.” Eret said with a smirk on his face.
“Eret listen to me and I mean this in the nicest way possible. You fucked up.” Tommy said in a chilling voice. “Farewell Gentlemen.” Eret said leaving you all to join Dream and the others. You all ran back to the caravan, Wilbur went out to go speak to Dream the next morning.
Tumblr media
When Wilbur came back with Dream he stated the dream had given us an ultimatum. “Gentlemen I want you to stand along side me here, Independent or death, if we get no revolution then we want nothing, we would rather die, then give into you and join your smp, Dream, you can blow up one piece of TNT in our door all you want it means nothing to us.” Dream then lit the tbt on fire and Wilbur told us to back up and to not let it hurt us.
When it exploded, more tnt had gone off under us. We all ran inside the half blown up caravan and hid in Tommy’s hidden bunker. The 4 of you decided to stay there for the night. The boys were becoming restless so you grabbed Wilburs guitar that was conveniently in the room, and begun to sing. Looking at Tommy first.
“There will come a soldier
Who carries a mighty sword
He will tear your city down, oh lei-oh lai-oh Lord
Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh Lord
He will tear your city down, oh lei-oh lai-oh Lord”
You then turned to look at Wilbur looking into his eyes while you sang the words,
“There will come a poet
Whose weapon is His word
He will slay you with His tongue, oh lei-oh lai-oh Lord
Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh Lord
He will slay you with His tongue, oh lei-oh lai-oh Lord”
And finally you looked at Tubbo,
“There will come a ruler
Whose brow is laid in thorn
Smeared with oil like David's boy, oh lei-oh lai-oh Lord
Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh Lord
Smeared with oil like David's boy, oh lei-oh lai-oh Lord
Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh Lord
He will tear your city down, oh lei-oh lai... oh”
The two you see the boys looked tired so you kept strumming softly while humming the rest of the song. Eventually the three younger boys feel asleep leaving you and Wilbur to be awake.
You looked at him only to find he was already looking at you, he walked over to you and sat next to you taking the guitar in his on hands and setting it aside. “Thank you for helping us, really, I know you like your solitude, if you want, when this is all over, you can go back as if nothing happened.” You chucked, “I don’t think that is an option for me anymore, I always loved those two boys, and I promised to protect them as best as I can, I have a bad feeling that something will happen to this, our war isn’t over Wilbur, and I’m scared for the both of them, they are to young to be dealing with everything on their own. Fundy can hold himself but he still needs someone there for him as well.”
Wilbur took your hands and pulled them around him, forcing you into a hug. Your head in his chest arms wrapped around his middle, his own arms wrapped around you. He used one hand to lift up your chin and leaned closer he looked at your lips than into your eyes, you closed the remaining gap between the two of you moving your arms up to his neck, he kept one hand on your cheek while the other laid on your hip. Eventually the two of you separated, you laid your head back on his chest, he laid back so the both of you were laying down his arms wrapped around you rubbing circles on your back.
“I promise I won’t let anything happen to those two boys, for as long as I can help it.” That was the last thing you heard before you fell asleep in his embrace that night.
Tumblr media
You woke up hearing snickering causing you to snuggle into your pillow, until you felt it vibrate. Causing you to shoot up, looking around you realized you spent the night laying on wilbur and the others had seen it, you flushed and looked away from everyone causing them to laugh.
We all left the room, Wilbur sticking close to you more so than ever to ensure that you don’t get hurt. You all meet up with Dream and negotiated having a duel between him and Tommy. They met on the wooden path, got their bows ready stood back to back, each step was counted by Wilbur until they hit 10, “10 paces, fire!” The two shot at each other until Dream managed to hit Tommy, you felt you heart sink as you realized this meant that you lost the independence the boys wanted.
That is until Tommy went to speak to Dream. “I secured our independence Will, I gave him the disk.” You all begun to celebrate and Wilbur wrote out the continuation of the Declaration of Independance. Once he was done you pulled him into a kiss causing the other boys to freak out. When the two of you pulled away you kept eachother close.
This is only the beginning of your story it is far from over, on to a new day, a new plot.
Tumblr media
This is only part one! But thank you all so much for taking the time to read this! I have more plans for this in the future and plan on making it about a 4 part story though I may make it more, you will have to wait and see.

A/N: This is it boys- this is the idea that made me want to start my own blog. I hope you all enjoy it, even if some of the ideas are kind of vanilla!
Tumblr media
'Creepers are shy creatures, preferring to live solitary lives instead of forming a pack as other mobs are known to do. They have been observed to stray away from areas with a dense ecological population, despite the higher chance to catch prey.’ Unknown, A Study in Hostile Mobs
As a creeper hybrid, Sam is naturally inclined to stay further away from the hustle and bustle of Central SMP.
He’s just not built to be around people- its stressful, its exhausting, and, most importantly, its unnecessary.
At least, that’s what he tells Ponk.
Then you decide to move to SMP, and suddenly, he wants to talk to you. Get to know you.
Of course, every time he sets off to do so he chickens out almost immediately.
It had hardly been a month since you'd moved to the SMP, but you'd already spent almost the entirety of the time hosting various guests that were curious about the newest member of the server. You wouldn't lie- it was a little overwhelming to have the entirety of L'Manbergs' cabinet staring over your shoulder while you were cooking lunch. However, you quickly adapted to the strangeness of your fellow players, and went out of the experience with a lot of new friends.
You had talked to every person on the server at some point, except for one.
You’d see him out of the corner of your eye sometimes when you were out and about, watching you, but making no effort to say hello. You might’ve been creeped out, if it wasn’t for how flustered he would get when you made eye contact with him through the gas mask he wore. It was kind of cute, in your opinion.
You were surprised one morning when, after you had stopped by Niki's cafe to drop off some fresh ingredients for her, you spotted Ponk high-tailing it towards you with the stranger in tow. You blinked, frozen for a moment, before your survival instincts kicked in and you jumped to the side before you could get bowled over by the pair.
“Hi?” you tried, after the dust the two had kicked up settled. You had spoken with Ponk before, and even gone on a few mining trips with her, but you weren’t super close. It was uncharacteristic of him to suddenly rush up to you like this.
"Hello!" Ponk said cheerfully, not at all winded as their companion staggered out of their grip, wheezing for breath. "This idiot was taking forever to just go say ‘hi’ to you, so I decided to spare him from his misery and just go introduce you.”
“Oh,” you said lamely, your gaze finally shifting to the tense figure behind the blonde.
The stranger was visibly tense as your eyes landed on him, and you took a step back in surprise when just how tall he was finally registered. You had never been so close to him before, so you had never truly gotten the full effect of his height. He was at least seven feet tall, and a hybrid, with mottled patches of mossy green, and even darker freckles scattered across his skin. His ears were slightly pointed, peeking out from soft-looking green hair and the black gas mask painted like a creeper face that covered the rest of his head. Now that your attention was drawn to it, you couldn't help but notice that it was smoking slightly- an observation both fascinating and mildly concerning.
Getting the faintest idea that you would have to be the extrovert in this interaction after several heartbeats of awkward silence, you offered a hand with a grin. "Nice to meet you!"
"It's nice to meet you too. I'm Sam.”
When I tell you that boy was panicking-
When he gets anxious, our boy literally starts steaming from sheer nerves. Normally the gas mask filters it all out, but in this case...
At least you didn’t say anything about it. If you had, then you would’ve learned that he blushes neon green ;]
Tumblr media
'Creepers seem to have the ability to illuminate the bioluminescent freckle-like spots covering their body at will. While the reason for this is still unexplained, many mobologists believe that it may be a form of nonvocal communication between members of the same species, or a mechanism designed to ward off potential predators.' - Unknown, A Study in Hostile Mobs
Sam can light up the spots all over his body, but the process isn’t entirely voluntary.
What pattern they form is indicative of his mood or tone, and, if you’ve known him for a long time, it can be used to tell how he’s feeling.
Sam used to be bullied for it when he was younger, so he forced himself to learn how to stifle the impulse.
He was afraid that you would tease him about it, so he repressed his instincts around you.
You watched sleepily as Sam fiddled with one of his many Redstone contraptions, lulled into contentment by the flickering flames of the fireplace and the snoring dog snuggled into your side. It had been several weeks since you had met the creeper hybrid, and over chance meetings at the community house, long nights shared at the EXP grinder, and time spent saving a certain blonde-haired gremlin from his failed pranks, you had become close friends.
It was common for other members of the server to visit your house and find Sam sipping a cup of sweet berry tea while you rambled about the new calf that had been born last night, or to see you tagging along with him when someone's front door broke. It had practically become a running joke between everyone when the two of you were going to get married, and, despite the slight warmth in your gut when they mentioned it, you were able to laugh it off.
You had gotten used to Sam’s creeper features with all the time you had spent with him, but every once in a while, he did something new that completely blindsided you. Sam had been getting increasingly frustrated with the machine he was working on, his eyebrows furrowing further and further as he tinkered with complex wires and sensitive buttons that you couldn’t even begin to comprehend. He hissed slightly, frustrated, and the previously dark freckles dotted across his nose flared to life in a flash of neon green.
His red eyes, which were usually covered by the mirrored goggles that he wore, flickered towards you just in time to catch your star-struck expression. “What?”
"Your freckles glow,” you said dumbly, gesturing to your face.
Sam stared at you for a moment, heat creeping into his face, before he huffed out a flustered laugh. The spots on his cheeks lit up as he did so, and you pointed at them animatedly.
"See! You just did it again!"
"Oh, uh, yeah," he said, chuckling awkwardly. "It's a hybrid thing. Apparently, creepers use the flashes to communicate intent and feelings to other creepers. That’s- that’s what I’m doing."
“That’s so cool!” you gasped, impulsively reaching forward to run a thumb across the few speckles that lay above the edge of his gas mask, his skin warm to the touch. You withdrew your hand just as quickly as you extended it though, suddenly nervous at the intimate contact. The pair of you had never really done a lot in terms of physical affection, so, naturally, you would be unused to it.
You were quickly distracted from the butterflies in your stomach when a thought occurred to you, and you tilted your head curiously. A part of you was torn between scooting closer or staying still so as not to disturb Fran, and you fidgeted with your fingers to release the weird energy that had built up in your body. "I-I don't remember you doing that whenever we hung out before."
Sam coughed, rubbing at his face with an expression you couldn't quite place. "I normally repress it. A lot of people are already off-put by… yeah, so I keep the glowing to a minimum.” He hesitated for a second before he went on- “It’s harder to control if I’m comfortable, or feel safe, though.”
You softened, feeling your heart squeeze in your chest. He already had to deal with so much as a hostile mob hybrid, and having to hide his emotions…? “I would never be weirded out by your hybridity, Sam.”
Then, his last statement finally clicked, and immediately after the implications registered you couldn't stop yourself from tugging the hand closest to you into your lap, lacing your fingers together with a blinding smile. "Are you saying you feel safe around me, Sam?"
The hybrid coughed, futilely trying to cover the freckles that had lit up in a brilliant green flare all across his cheeks with his free hand. You cooed.
“Awww! Sammy’s embarrassed!”
“Shut up.”
He is so relieved that you don’t think he’s weird. How could he handle it if his crush thought his creeper heritage was creepy?
Sam starts to allow more of his instincts to come to light after that, and is encouraged when you never make any comments about it other than teasing him.
“You’re like a little firefly!” - you, not realizing that you just one-hit KO’d this man.
Tumblr media
‘Creepers, like the Piglin and some members of the Avian species, mate for life. Not much about their courting processes are known, but every spring, a select few of the creeper population participate in rudimentary courting practices with their chosen partner. Whether or not their union is successful appears to depend on the courter’s size, their ability to provide for young, and how healthy they are (measured by the vividness of their green coloration).’ - Unknown, A Study in Hostile Mobs
We’re in the endgame now, gamers.
You’re funny, you’re smart, you somehow know exactly how to make him feel better-
Prime help this man he’s about to explode (literally).
It was originally only little gestures that made their way into your interactions, but over time, he realized that he has been courting you.
And guess what?
He wasn’t going to put an end to it.
Sam had been acting strange recently.
It had been small things at first, starting a couple days after you found out about his spots (You were still in a state of disbelief that Sam could glow, and that the majority of the server had lived almost their entire lives not knowing that Sam could glow).
He was more confident around you now, something that you attributed to your reassurances that you would never judge him for his hybrid instincts. He would hold himself straighter when he walked at your side, walking a step behind you as if he was some kind of bodyguard. You teased him for it mercilessly, ignoring the way butterflies erupted in your stomach when he eventually broke down and replied with: “How else am I supposed to be your knight in shining armor if I don’t protect you?”
Something had changed in the way he interacted with other people during your hangouts together, too. He was quiet, more often than not, and whenever he spoke his words held a hint of a warning- against what, exactly, you had absolutely no clue. Whenever you asked about it, he clammed up and refused to talk.
Even your interactions with Tommy, which used to be a reliable source of entertainment for all three of you, had changed ever so slightly. Sam had always been a sort of paternal figure for Tommy, getting him out of scrapes and checking up on the teen to make sure he was okay, it seemed as though it had increased exponentially. Whenever Tommy even scraped his knee, Sam was hovering around him in an instant, forcing the blonde to sit down so he could fuss over him. It was admittedly funny, though, when Tommy had thrown a fit about Sam “being a bigger mother hen than fucking Birdza”.
All of that was excusable enough for you to deal with. No, the thing that had finally tipped you over the edge was when Sam had straight-up hissed at someone who had tried to hug you.
Earlier that day, you had gotten a message from Ponk asking for help repairing his garden. Apparently, a rogue enderman had made off with a good chunk of the grass blocks, and he needed a set of extra hands while replacing them. Always happy to help a friend, you accepted, and when you mentioned it to Sam the hybrid had insisted on tagging along.
The work was hot and grueling, and you felt about ready to drop after everything was said and done. Sam and Ponk, on the other hand, were relatively unaffected by the labor, beyond maybe being a little sweatier than usual (How were so many people on this server fitness gods? You swore you saw Tubbo deadlift a whole-ass cow the other day).
Relieved to be finished, you laughed as Ponk threw their arms around you in a damp hug. You were about to make some ‘complaint’ about them being stinky, but the two of you were cut off by the sound of lighted TNT. The two of you sprang apart, searching wildly for the errant creeper that had managed to sneak up on you.
“Sam-” you started, turning to the hybrid for answers after finding nothing, only to find him standing much closer to you than he was before. You jumped back, startled by his sudden appearance, and watched with bewildered eyes as acrid smoke billowed around his face, escaping through the vents in his mask. Your expression hardened.
"What the fuck." you said flatly. You had reached the end of your rope with this man, and you were not going to let this be without answers. "What the fuck? You've been acting weird for weeks, Sam, and now this?"
The green-haired man’s red eyes were pinned to Ponk, glittering dangerously in the fading light of the sun as it started to set. He was making an odd sound under his breath, a mix of a hiss and a growl. So Ponk, like a perfectly sane person would do when suddenly faced with a pissed creeper, laughed.
You and Sam could only stare, any aggression the man might’ve held replaced with abject confusion, as the blonde doubled over, overcome with giggles. Gasping for breath, he was finally able to speak after his mirth died down. “Prime, Sammy. Don’t tell me you got jealous over a hug.”
...Jealous?
You were pretty sure your face was on fire, and, as you looked at Sam, you were glad the sentiment was shared as his face flushed bright green. You opened your mouth to say… something (How were you supposed to even begin to know how to respond to this situation?) when Sam grabbed your arm and started to drag you away to the garden. Helpless, you could only wave goodbye to Ponk as you and the hybrid disappeared into the trees.
Sam was moving fast, and you struggled to keep up with his long strides. Giving up, you dug your heels into the ground with a huff. “Sam, stop. Are you seriously not gonna talk about what what Ponk just said?”
“Nope,” he said shortly, resolutely refusing to face you as his pace slowed. Leaning to the side, you caught sight of the freckles across his face fully lit up. You softened. “... Were you jealous?”
The hybrid was silent for a moment, and you felt the hope that was welling up in your chest die. Of course he wasn’t, it was just a dumb joke. He would never-
“What if I was?”
You blinked. “W-what?”
“What if I was,” He spun you around until you were directly in front of him, something desperate in his eyes that made your heart want to explode. “What if I was jealous? What if I hated watching you let other people touch you? What would you do?”
Left breathless at his words, you did the only thing that was left for you to do: you looped your arms around his shoulders, unclasping his mask and letting it fall to the ground between you, and kissed him.
When you pulled back, you couldn’t help but grin up at him dopily. His eyes were bright, filled with wonder as he searched your face. Then, without any moment of hesitation, he was tucking you back into his arms to press kisses against your face.
“You’re stuck with me now,” he rumbled between pecs, and you sighed happily. “I better be, Mr. Nook.”
“Does that make you Mx. Nook now?”
“Kiss me again, and we’ll find out.”
Congratulations! You are the proud partner of one (1) hissy boy who would explode anyone who dared hurt you!
Cuddles are a mandatory now, especially in the evening when you’re both tired out from work.
You are the only person in the entire server who knows that Sam can purr, and you constantly tease him for it until you melt into a puddle at the sound.
Fran loves you automatically. She can tell how much you two care about each other, and anyone who loves Sam is instantly her best friend.
She will attempt to bury you and Sam in her fur when you snuggle at any chance she gets.
You fall asleep every night tucked into a softly hissing creeper hybrid, and pressed into an extremely fluffy dog.

c!Ponk x gn! reader - Miss You
genre: /rom, fluff
warnings: none!
masterlist <3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ponk had never gone so long without stopping by. He always made sure that you knew where he was, as he understood that you got worried about those you cared about.
It had been three days since you had last seen him. The bed where you both slept was empty as you found yourself on the patio most hours in the hopes that he'd show up.
You asked Foolish, who hadn't seen him since the completion of the Supreme fridge. Sam hadn't seen him since the incident. No one could tell you where Ponk had run off to.
He wouldn't leave you out of the blue. He wouldn't go on some adventure without you. So where could he be?
Ponk on the other hand didn't see the big issue. He had been away working on his hobbit-hole, only coming near the main part of the SMP when he was in desperate need of materials.
He assumed you'd just find the note he left you before he left. Well, the note he thought he left.
About two weeks after constantly searching for them, you seemingly gave up and carried on with life, hoping he would eventually show up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Walking through the SMP on days like today always calming for you. You had visited Niki and Puffy, then stayed in the Community House for a little to enjoy some reading.
You made your way through Eret's castle when you heard some rustling from one of Eret's storage rooms. Eret wasn't home, they were currently in Snowchester on business.
You inched your way to the door, peeking around the corner. Someone was definitely going through the chests, muttering to themselves.
You took a better look and gasped at the person standing before you.
"Ponk!"
"Huh-" He looked up before being dragged down to the floor as you ran to hug him, the force too much for either of you to handle.
"Y/n! How have you been baby?" He smiled up at you, wrapping his arms around your waist, pulling you into him.
"How do you think?! You don't tell me where you've run off to then disappear for two and half weeks! I have been worried sick and I missed you so much." You buried your face into the crook of their neck, taking in what you had desperately missed for so long.
"You didn't get the note I left?"
"Obviously not my love." You laughed.
"Oh, well then I apologize. But if it helps, I want you to see what I've been working on!"
He helped you off the ground and you were off to his project. You could hardly believe that all this time he hadn't been that far from you.
"Never leave me for that long again dummy, please."
He grabbed your hand and kissed it softly. "Never, I promise."

Chapter 4
THis chapter includes a short panik attack ig?
Tommy POV
The sun shines through his window, stroking his nose and cheeks. The blond boy tiredly opens his eyes and looks around his bedroom. His communicator still lays on his bedside table. A message pops up. It's from Wilbur. “Where you at Tommy? He lets out a big sigh. “in my house? What do you need Will?” seconds later a response poops up saying “come to my house, we need to talk.” Tommy really hopes that Will didn’t find out about the call last night. If he however did he’s so screwed.
His anxiety begins to raise, his heartbeat starts to rise, his hands begin to sweat, his breathing fastens. Thoughts race through his head, creating every scenario possible, most of them are really bad. The tall boy walks up and down in his room, debating with himself whether he should go or play sick.” He will surely visit me if I say I’m sick so that won’t help me out either. Shit. Mabey everything is fine and I’m just overre-“ ‘Knock, knock’ the banging on the door stopped his train of thoughts. Before he could go to his door it already opened “Hey Tommy!” Tubbo stood in front of his room with a big smile. “Will told me to get you on my way to him, soo here I am.” It took Tommy a few seconds before he realized who was standing in front of him and what the person said. “Oh…yeah hi Tubbo.” “Everything alright big man? You seem absent like you’re somewhere else with that brain of yours.” “Oh no everything alright! I was just deep in my thoughts.” Tommy reasoned trying his best to mask his anxiety and be as happy and loud as ever.
Tubbo had a key for Tommy’s house and Tommy one for Tubbo’s. The smaller boy would just walk in and knock on his bedroom door if he couldn’t find Tommy.
He gave Tubbo a small smile turned around and began to go through his drawer to find a hoodie. Tommy threw a red hoodie on and spun around to Tubbo. The two boys walked out of Tommy’s house and made their way over to L’manburg to meet Wilbur at the Caravan.
On their way to the van Tommy was once again deep in his thoughts while Tubbo told him something about how the bees are doing, at least he thinks that’s what it's about.
Wilbur wouldn’t talk to him about the call if Tubbo were with them right? What if Tommy is just overthinking and Wilbur doesn’t even know about it, he really hopes that’s true otherwise he would be fucked. But… why won’t he tell Wilbur about it? He would probably forgive him, but what if not… that’s quite possible. Since y/n broke out from their cell and escaped L’manburg he was a different person. He got angry due to the smallest mistakes whether Wilbur himself or other people made them. He ignored his son more than ever if that was even possible.
Yeah, he definitely would not forgive Tommy. Ok so he wouldn’t talk about the call in front of Tubbo, that’s for sure. So that means Tommy could be lucky.
Before the blond boy could continue his thought process Tubbo’s voice echoed through his ears which made him look up, just to see they were already at the van.
“Hey, Wilbur! What’s up?” Tubbo ran up to the tall brown-haired guy, while Tommy was a few meters behind.

BELOVED! EEEEEEE I'VE BEEN WANTING TO WRITE ERET FOR SOOOOO LOOOOONG YOU HAVE NO IDEA. I'm just going to make it an Eret x Reader because I don't know Foolish's character too well if that's okay?
(ALso, you will make me cry from all these compliments, please ;^;)
I actually am adding onto this because I want to make a hybrid reader for once, hope you don't mind! ^^
SPOILERS FOR THE RED BANQUET AND MULTIPLE PRONOUNS USED FOR ERET
My Monarch (C!Eret x GN!Butterfly Hyrbid!Reader)
You giggled softly, your beautiful paper-thin wings flitting behind you as you hopped around Eret's room while he got his newly tailored red cloak chained together, "My goodness, monarch, you're going to waste up all your energy before the party even begins!" He laughed at your reddened cheeks while he put his crown on top of his neatly styled hair, putting his sunglasses on shortly after, "How do I look?"
"Like a true queen!" You chirped, adjusting your outfit in the mirror beside your lover before frowning and taking the glasses away from her, "Ah, ah, nope. If I'm having my wings out of my cloak, you aren't wearing your sunglasses, darling, we've been over this."
The royal huffed and gave a small pout but didn't argue much on the matter, as they did, in fact, practically beg you to keep your wings out for display for the banquet. With a small chuckle, they reached over and picked up your crown that was decorated with rainbows of jewels, placing it on your styled (h/l) (h/c) hair, being mindful of your antennae, "There... There's my monarch."
You blushed slightly at the nickname and gave a small giggle as you took his hand, "Come on, let's get going, Bad will get impatient if we're late." Eret gave a nod with a smile, leading you towards the door and out of his castle.
The two of you were happily chatting with each other as you travelled to the stairway that led underground, happily saying hellos to your 'mama' Puffy, who gave you typical motherly affection, ie: smooshing your cheeks as she gave you a light headbutt while calling you every motherly compliment in the book, and anyone else that was also invited to the Banquet. When you arrived, you took a sharp breath as you saw the room filled with red vines crawling and writhing everywhere, it sickened you... But, this was about Bad apologizing, and you supposed that you could put your discomfort off to the side for just a little bit.
Eret, being the gentleman she was, pulled out your chair for you and gestured for you to sit down, smiling softly as you gave her a kiss on the cheek and sat down in the chair. She pushed you in and sat in the chair to your left, Puffy on your right, gently taking your hand once she was tucked into the table.
You were so anxious that you could barely focus on the speech Bad was giving, until your ears and antennae picked up the sound and scent of running lava which successfully shook you out of your thoughts, but before you could mention anything to Eret, you heard a chuckle.
"Now, prepare to die."
There was a chorus of gasps that tore from everyone's mouths as the sound of lava got louder. You lifted your head from staring at the red soup in the bowl in front of you and looked around in horror as you saw lava blocking the exits. You felt Eret tighten their grip on your hand, but by then your heart was already racing in fear and your wings were shifting around nervously.
"Oh my god!"
"We've been walled in!"
"After all that?!"
Bad tossed his empty glass bottle to the side, causing it to shatter on the ground below and get greedily grabbed at by the red vines, "Well uh, that's right."
"Bad, what about turning over this leaf?!" Captain Puffy snapped, slamming her mostly empty bottle of water down on the table as she stood up.
The nine-foot-tall demon seemed to nonchalantly brush off her outburst and shook his head lamely, "No, the leaf is staying the way it is." He sat up properly in his chair and rested his elbows on the warped wooden table to hold his chin in his hands.
"Is... There any way out?" You asked aloud, quickly spinning around, looking for any gap that you could possibly fly through. Eret quickly wrapped his arm around you, his white eyes wide with slight hints of fear that he was used to hiding with his glasses.
"No! There's literally no way out!" Fundy cried out, restlessly shuffling and running around, trying to find anything everyone could use to escape.
HBomb gave a small shriek of pain as he burned his hand on the lava, "It is real lava! It is real lava!" He gasped out as Puffy quickly made him shove his hand into the bowl of beat soup. Bad calmly walked over and gave him a glimmering gold apple with a sickly sweet smile.
"You should try not to die yet, HBomb." He chuckled softly as he returned to his seat once the man eagerly bit into the potion soaked fruit, desperate to get rid of the burning sensation.
Puffy took a few deep breaths and held out her arms, trying to get everyone to stop freaking out completely, "We're fine, we're fine, we're fine! I- I didn't trust you, Bad, I didn't trust you at all. I didn't trust Antfrost. I knew! I knew something was up, it's unfortunate to say I can't trust either one of you... Because... I planned this..."
She eagerly ripped off the red silken table cloth to reveal a chest buried in the table, spilling drinks and soup everywhere for the vines to eagerly writhe towards, "Oh?! What?!" Bad gasped, his mouth parting in shock... Before it fell bad into a devious smile as Puffy gave a cry of confusion, finding the chest completely empty, "Oh? Were you... Looking for this, perchance?"
Bad equipped diamond enchanted armour and held up an enchanted diamond sword that glimmered in the light of the lava, Ant, Ponk... And Hannah... Doing the same, "Sorry Puffy. I had to do it..." Hannah Rose walked over and sat in the empty seat on Bad's left.
"Do... What, Hannah? Why?!" The Ram hybrid whispered in horror.
"I had to tell them." She responded simply, blinking a few times as her eyes went from a forest coloured green to redder than the colour of the egg's vines slithering around your ankles, "The egg..."
Biting back a sob, you looked at Hannah, "You were with them the whole time...?"
Sam stood completely still, looking at the girl sadly, "You... Told them, Hannah?" The warden murmured.
"I had to." She glanced at Bad with a small grin before looking back at her former friends, including you, "It was the only way."
"I'm sorry," Bad started, sounding almost completely genuine, if it wasn't for the crooked smile he was wearing, "I'm sorry Sam, I'm sorry Puffy. But, time to get on to the main event!"
The creeper hybrid held up his hand, pointing one finger to the ceiling to silently tell the Eggpire to hold on for just a moment, "Well... That is, tragic, that you told them about our plans for the armour, but..." You could tell Sam grinned behind his mask as his green eyes gave a few sparks of smugness, "Something, you should know. I had another plan. Because I didn't trust you."
"...What do you mean 'another plan'?" Bad pointed his loaded crossbow at the warden, eyes narrowing into a glare.
"Well," He pulled a remote out of his pocket and scanned it in mock curiosity, "I think, that we all can agree, that this has gone on long enough now. I'm tired of all this fighting. So I say we just blow the egg up. For good, this time, with an amount of TNT that it can't survive... So I hid a trap..."
'Of course... The creeper hybrid is using TNT...' You thought with a small smile, trying to distract yourself from the heartstopping fear overwhelming your body at the moment as Bad stuttered in surprise.
"A trap?! Wait, what do you mean!?" the demon growled as Sam got up and walked slightly closer to the egg, digging his thumb into the button on the remote he held.
"We did something even you couldn't prepare for!" Puffy shouted as TNT began to rain out of a small gap in the ceiling.
Eret, worrying for your safety and how the sounds or smell of gunpowder would affect your hypersensitive senses, pulled you close and she wrapped you in her cloak. You desperately grasped at the fabric of her red dress as she covered your ears in an attempt to make the loud booms easier for your insect senses to handle.
By the time it stopped and Eret let you go, there were shocked gasps and the egg... Had... Turned to crying obsidian? "You guys-" Bad had to take a breath through his maniacal laughter to wipe a tear, "You really thought you could defeat the egg? With TNT? After Quackity tried that, we took proper... Preparations. And we made it so that we wouldn't have to worry about TNT anymore, thank you very much!"
"I think you mean precautions..." You murmured quietly, curling in on yourself and hiding behind Eret slightly when you saw soulless white eyes glare in your directions.
"Shut up, (Y/n)." He huffed, and Eret had to physically stop Puffy from storming over and fighting the man in diamond armour with her bare hands, "Now, would you all please kindly make your way over here... We can begin the summary executions."
Shock flooded through your veins at how eagerly Bad hopped out of his chair them walked over to where the Egg, the crying obsidian fading away, and standing on a platform. There was a chorus of shocked cries and just cries in general as Bad waved his crossbow around, "What about the speeches man?!" Fundy growled, glaring at Bad as he tried to get you all to leave the table.
"Oh, that was all just to lull you into a false sense of security!" He responded with another crooked smile and a 'duh' tone, "You see, the egg needs something, and it's gonna get it from each of you. See, in order for the egg to hatch, it needs energy, and it gets that energy from people dying near it! And that's the role that you guys are gonna fill! We are gonna kill you one by one..."
"You're a monster..." Eret mumbled under their breath, holding your hand tightly, able to feel your racing heart from the pulse in your wrist. This had gone on long enough, sure, destroying everything on the server was one thing, but threatening not only their life, not only their friends' lives, but their lover's life as well! You only had two more before you were gone from this world forever... And by whatever gods were listening, they swore that they were going to protect those final two, even at the risk of their own life.
Bad turned his head, his twisted smile faltering slightly, "What was that, Eret? What did you say?" He leaned closer mockingly, to see if Eret really had the guts to repeat what was just said.
"You're an absolute monster," Eret repeated with a slight growl to his voice this time, taking a step closer to the corrupted man as a threat and also effectively blocking you from Bad's gaze, "How could you? We all trusted you, Bad."
"Trust?!" Ant spoke up for the first time that night, grinning almost like a Cheshire cat, "Okay, Eret... Keep talking. Keep talking about trust."
Sucking a breath through your gritted teeth, you cringed as Ant retorted with a verbal dagger, one he knew would hurt Eret deeply, and hurt her it did, "That was a long time ago!" You snapped immediately, stepping forwards to defend her which definitely caught everyone off guard. You were NOT about to let some egg puppets trash talk your lover, "She's changed!"
"You know what..." Bad hummed, almost comically tapping his finger to his lip before pointing at Eret, "I think, Eret, you would be a perfect person... To sacrifice first!"
Giving a cry of horror, you felt the red vines react to Bad's words and grab you and Eret, successfully yanking you away from each other despite your cries and struggles of protests. The large vines picked Eret up and brought them to the execution platform that Bad was standing on. The entire time, you were trying to run over to grab them, but the vines kept creating a wall and pushing you back, "No! No, no, no!" You screamed desperately, trying to reach out to the crown-wearing lover that was now being held on the platform by the very vines that were holding you back.
"Does anyone have anything?!" Foolish cried, quickly patting his pockets and looking around for anything, anything at all, to use as a weapon.
"I- We have no weapons!"
"No one has anything?! We literally can't do anything about this!"
Bad only chuckled, seeming to find amusement in everyone's distress, "Excellent, excellent, I really appreciate you guys following the directive and not bringing any weapons. That's very courteous of you." He turned towards Eret with his readied crossbow, gleefully ignoring your cries.
"We trusted you!" You yelled, throwing a useless punch at the wall of vines that blocked your way again, everyone roaring at the Eggpire in agreement with your statement.
"Well that was your first mistake," He chided in almost a playful manner, "Did you really think we were just going to stop trying to spread the egg's influence over the server, just because a couple people got mad at the vines? Like, come on. That's been the objective all along. It's been to hatch the egg. The egg wants power, and it's gonna get it."
His finger lightly began tapping at the trigger of his crossbow that had the bolt pointing to your lover's head, which caused a sob to escape past your lips as you finally had enough and finally flew into the air, expertly weaving past the red vines that tried to grab you out of the air. Quickly, you swooped down and reached out for Eret, but you felt something fly past your ear... Then suddenly, the king gave a cry of his own and you felt your flying balance get thrown off, causing you to begin to plummet towards the ground.
The horrified shrieks of your lover, mother figure and your friends rang through your ears as you quickly plummeted towards the earth as a result of gravity, only to be suddenly halted in mid-air which caused your crown to fall to the ground, completely wrapped in vines that clearly didn't care how badly they were bending your wings. You whined in pain at the tight grip, and looked over at your beloved butterfly features, only to give a sob of pain as you saw a large tear had sliced through your right (f/c) wing... "You... You bastard..." You hissed at the demon who came over and reloaded another bolt into his crossbow.
"You know, I think I like your energy more than your lover's." He cupped your chin in an almost loving fashion, causing Eret to immediately lash out and begin barking insults as well as threats. Unfortunately, her violence was ignored as the vines picked her up again, "Your unwavering loyalty, your love, your fierceness despite how fragile you are..."
"Get your hands away from them!" Puffy yelled, she and Foolish going to run to help you, but they were blocked off by the vines in the same way you once were, "For fucks sake Bad! Leave my child alone! They were just defending Eret, you know, their lover?!"
Bad only hummed as the vines lamely tossed Eret to the crowd of people, but thankfully he was caught by Foolish and Sam instead of hitting the ground but his crown hit the ground close to yours, breaking most of the rainbow coloured gems off, "I'm quite aware of their relationship, thank you, Puffy." He stepped back and the vines threw you to the ground on the execution platform, causing you to bounce off the nether bricks harshly before finally rolling into the centre.
Your head was spinning and your sight was blurry, but you still managed to hear the screams of terror from your friends, the begging from Puffy for Bad to leave you alone, and the sobs leaving Eret's throat as they cried out for you, "Monarch... (Y/N)!" They screamed, trying to run to you as well, but unsurprisingly they were held back as well.
It... was funny... You wanted to go to this party so badly... You begged Eret to come to this party, you spent weeks picking out your outfit... You were so excited...
And now here you were... Flightless and beyond concussed...
About to die...
"I love you..." You managed to whisper to Eret before Ant rose his enchanted sword... Then quickly lowering it, piercing through your chest...
"(Y/N)! NO!"
(Y/n) (L/n) was slain by Antfrost. Lives 1/3
