Top 5 mme songs?
ooo, i’ll give reasons too so i can continue putting off my physics homework >:D
1) mangtanshi (the overall song progression is unique and i like how it builds up. the lyrics present a very interesting story & i enjoy theorizing about it—from my interpretation, it’s about a child who shouldn’t have been born. also, kyuho’s use of multiple languages is impressive)
[tw for self harm mention]
2) jahaewa haebang (the aggressive tone partnered with occasionally vulnerable lyrics captures the topic of self harm well)
3) in der nacht (firstly, the lyrics are probably just sexual but they remind me of vampires. immediate points in my book. secondly, the song crescendos in such a pretty way throughout. aaaand finally, THE CHORUS)
4) you don’t allow me (simplicity can go a long way in both lyric writing & visual concepts. yet the musical composition isn’t plain. i like the interlude a lot)
[tw for rape mention]
5) dissection / 해부 (once again, i love the buildup and way it changes. i didn’t appreciate this song as much until more recently, and like mangtanshi it has stuck with me much more after reading the lyrics. in all honesty, i could see it as a metaphor because it SEEMS to be clearly about rape but i could see it as a criticism of idol worship which is legitimately horrifying but i have grounds for it)
honestly, i’d like to know yours too!!!

you don't like the great war???
i love the great war! it just wasn't initially a fave and (as much as i love aaron) i don't really like the instrumentation. hearing it acoustic on tour made me realize how much more i would like it if it was arranged differently. it's just so lyrically dense that all the complexity of the drum machines is a little distracting for me. and the soldier-marching vibe of the beat feels a little too on the nose. HOWEVER it is so incredibly fun to sing along to and how could you not be obsessed with 'SOMEWHERE IN THE HAZE GOT A SENSE I'D BEEN BETRAYED'

if taylor swift said “but I knew you, playing hide and seek and giving me your weekends, I knew you, your heartbeat on the high line, once in twenty lifetimes” less I’d be able to talk about it more

oh yes you were at court! i forgot that was at the start of that post lmao. i've been to court twice when i was super young for drinking underage and then smoking lool it was so boring and long and shit but thankfully you were just there for moral support, i hope it wasen't such a bad thing your friend had to deal with! I remember seeing you post about moving but i forget if it was TO or AWAY from your parents but that clears it up. I totally get you on that though, i'm living at home right now and i feel kind of similar about not feeling comfortable in your own home. Its a bit different for me, but similar enough. Hell my stepdad even sleeps in the living room too! hes always done that so ive always felt like i had to be on eggshells when night time hit. I used to sneak smoking in the backyard back in the day myself, i got caught once when i was in highschool he made me throw all my pieces out which sucked big time. ahhh i love that, art! you should totally show more stuff on here too, at least if you're comfortable and its not stuff you'd wanna sell, i would absolutely love to see any of it 🖤i've dabbled in writing poems and things i planned to make songs, although only recently. I've always wanted to be a musician but my attempts at learning guitar over the years have never ended up lasting long and i try to learn singing but i just dont really think i can. plus i was always afraid of self expression so i never wrote until a few years ago. i still do, because music is so important to me (which is why i did pick 🎤!) and it makes me so happy but yeah. i have 2 shows im headed to in a few months even so im so excited 🥰my day though has been so boring, i mostly played video games and watched youtube videos. watched another episode of a show i've been watching called Silo, which i absolutely love. im so surprised you had room in your tags still after myself lmao, but i do that same thing i always talk in the tags! also i'm giving you tons of hugs and kisses 😘🥰

tragedy that this shirt is falling apart and i’ll never be able to buy another. might try to get some high quality shots with an actual camera so i can make a stencil and print us another one. And this one can become a pillow or something once we’ve stitched up the holes.
like, it’s kind of okay cuz wife and i reaaally didn’t like the last album or the way SVV was leaning so hard into the vibrato, but bang and garage hymns absolutely fuck. how can you make music like this and then totally change your sound and break up?? unconscionable.
(the non-acoustic demo version of hell’s heroes is probably one of my favorite songs on the planet and i can’t find it anywhere online?? so here, if anyone is interested!)
