“Are you sure you’re ready to take on an apprentice?” Brightshore asks. “I mean, no offense, Plover — you’re just pretty young.”

“I know, I know.” He rolls his shoulders a few times, watching Sprucekit tumble with Halokit and Echokit. “But, well…I think we all know how important it is to have a successor.”

“I guess. As long as you’re sure about it.”

“And I am. Sprucekit is a good cat. He’ll make a good seer. Besides, my knowledge is freshest from Mudfur now. I might as well use it.”

“Well, if you need any help…”

“Thanks, Brightshore. I appreciate it.”

They brush temples.

It’ll be alright, Ploverfrost knows. It has to be.

Stonekit dies. Greypool & Loudstar have not had much luck having any children survive :(

Grasswhisker and Duskpaw return to the Clan, and Duskpaw earns her warrior name; Duskfur. They also have a small kit tottering behind them; Beechkit, and Grasswhisker is happy that not only did Duskfur come home safe, but that she also has a son.

Willowkit is born to Vixenleap and Swampbird.

oof. for me, not for riverclan. kinda.

not surprisingly, mudfur dies. runningnose and spottedleaf have a stand-off, he loses, and oakpaw becomes oakfern and moves to riverclan.

vixenleap dies.

duskfur becomes a warrior.

creampaw, cypresspaw, and tanpaw die.

this happens:

baypaw -> sandstream bluepaw -> grasswhisker brightpaw -> ridgefall dewpaw -> greyeye firpaw -> leopardstar mintpaw -> silverfang pinepaw -> skyheart pricklepaw -> sedgecreek sappaw -> mistyfoot showerpaw -> oakfern sprucepaw -> softwing

and since you might have missed it, to reiterate:

mudfur's been trying to retire for over a year. windclan's medicine cat dies, forcing him to give up his apprentice at the age of nearly 13. he dies the season after that, and a three season old cat from shadowclan becomes sole seer for riverclan. she then takes an apprentice, because the clans are reasonably terrified of losing another seer.

cedarkit and frecklekit die.

bristlewing dies.

mosspelt has five kits, conekit (white she-cat with patches of red-tipped fur, big paws, and hazel eyes), freckledkit (pale grey tom with dark flecks and a white chest), pinekit (she-cat with a white chest), sequoiakit (she-cat with dark paws and gold eyes), and willowkit.

silverstream (and greystripe) have one kit, beechkit.

shyheart and heavystep die. as a very old cat and a cat with kidney issues, respectively, both of them are vulnerable to poison.

mooseflame retires due to worsening health issues.

echopaw, gorsepaw, halopaw, owlpaw, sprucepaw, and weaselpaw are apprenticed to hickorynose, onewhisker, ashfoot, rabbitsight, ploverfrost, and cloudrunner.

sprucepaw's head is hit on rocks, leaving him nearly dead. he survives, but with a long road to recovery.

halofur has seven kits, cottonkit (blue-grey tom with orange eyes), dewkit, droughtkit (white-patched tom with a pale undercoat), ridgekit (white she-cat with pale cream markings and hazel eyes), madronakit (tom with teal eyes), vanillakit (lithe tom with pale eyes), and yewkit (red she-cat, partially blind).
