I've been a little obsessed with these tournaments and I wanted to start my own! I'm surprised that no one's done a most iconic post bracket (that I've been able to find, anyway), so I thought it would be fun.

I don't have very specific requirements for what's considered an iconic post, I'm talking about posts that are part of Tumblr's collective conscious. If you want examples, blogs like @worldheritagepostorganization and @hellsite-hall-of-fame are dedicated to cataloguing them. I just wanna make them fight :)

You can submit as many times as you like. It would be helpful to include a link but not necessary. It doesn't have to be what you consider to be the most iconic post, it can also be your favorite iconic post :)

The showdown where shapeshifters come to battle!

Couple rules:

Only fictional characters are allowed in (don’t think I have to state but I will anyways)

Characters can be shapeshifters through natural born abilities, magical abilities, or other circumstances- as long as they’re regarded as shapeshifters for their ability to change their form you can submit them in!

Propaganda is allowed, but remember this is all for fun so please don’t harass/be mean to other people!

Okay, since half my dashboard is just various tournaments at this point, I thought I might as well start my own. So now I'm trying to find Tumblr's favourite colour.

This was a very spontaneous decision, so I've not thought this through very well, but if you have a favourite colour, please send me the hex code in an ask (the addition of a colour name is optional).

If no one submits anything, let's just pretend I never made this post. I'll probably sneak some personal favourites in and/or ask my friends for suggestions, but that depends on how interested people are.

You may submit any edible food from any work of fiction (book, movie, TV show, video game, etc) that you think would be delicious.

As you probably noticed, some contestants have moved around a bit. I held a poll asking if you would be okay if I switched up some of the matchups to try and make future polls more interesting. I wasn't going to do it unless it had over 60% of voters support, and we made it comfortably in that range. So here we are!

As for moving people around, I made a list of who I thought was most likely to win and numbered them 1-32 (using how much they won by in rounds 1 and 2 and inputs from a few friends). My goal was to get only one character in the 1-4 range and one in the 5-8 range in each of the four sides, and then separate them so they wouldn't battle until round 5. And secondarily moving the 9-12 spots so they won't fight anyone in the 1-8 until round 4.

I tried to move people as little as possible to accomplish this, though I do notice I did edit nearly half of the matchups. Apologies to the people who didn't want things switched up, but hopefully we will have more interesting semi finals and finals this way!

The redemption bracket will be held during (and maybe a little before) the finals of the major bracket, which will be lasting a week. There will be 8 from the losers in round 1, 8 from the losers in round 2, 4 from the losers in round 3, and an undetermined number from round 4 and 5. I also plan on adding some new hats that didn't make it in to the original 131. Matchups will be random, because seeding takes for-fucking-ever. Number of characters is undetermined at this time.

If you made it this far, I have a treat for you. Send me an ask with a character with a rad hat who has not gotten in so far. They might make it into the Loser's Bracket!
