Artificer. poor ol struggling creature.

lots of info under cut as always!

After losing her pups, the artificer feels.. empty. She can't find any purpose in her life, she tries inflicting violence onto others, to somehow drown the grief, but all that leads to is more sorrow and guilt. But even after all these things she went through, she still has a tiny spark of hope that things might just get better, that she may eventually find some purpose.. and so, she begins to endlessly wander the silent constructs littered across the land. Looking for something, or perhaps someone that can reignite her love for the world.

now for some traits:

design:

•her blood contains a chemical that, when in contact with air, violently explodes •this mutation was really painful at first and left her with many scars and burns, but her body eventually adapted to it, even growing holes and tubes to allow dispensing this substance in a safer manner, this allows her to do a controlled explosion jump like in the game. •her saliva also has strange properties, it solidifies when it has been out of her body for long enough, and becomes somewhat silky.. This silk is very explosive, and strong impact causes it to crackle and explode •since she is a nomad her bag is a bit larger and more "kitted out" than other scugs, she has a blowtorch device strapped under it to assemble weapons easily, and a lil holder for flares or explosives

personality:

•she is always tired and is easily irritated by little things •she's very loving and caring, but it's hard for her to let these feelings out •she's touch starved and needs comfort but she won't admit it •protective •she tends to be really violent for no good reason, blowing things up makes her feel better for a bit •she has no idea how to properly communicate with other scugs, as she has been isolated for so so long

also pronouns are she/her, although i don't think she really cares.

anatomy based off a mink/ermine.... long and fluffy?

Saint starts off as a very regular looking slugcat, save for some golden markings on its fur. As time goes on and its nature becomes more obvious, the dark patches on its nose and back takes over and the golden markings grow, more appear, glistening like the void below. Saint is always an echo, but it is doomed to repeat its grueling ascension process, renewing its ties to the world and binding itself to it and its fate. Saint's work will only be done when the cycles stop and no more creatures are trapped within them. Such is its hubris. It cannot let go.

Yippee finally went ahead and made a proper Hunter Long Legs Design! I have... a lot of design notes regarding my hunter and to an extent HLL so beware the wall of text!

You may have noticed that my Hunter looks like it was patched together, and to be truthful? That's because it quite literally was, Hunter was made of the scraps of NSH's first two failed attempts at making them, the first one (where the red striped patch parts came from) died in development, while the second one (the main body/light salmon) was developing pretty much only in half, so NSH, not wanting to lose any more time, patched the missing parts of the body with the parts from the first attempt, unfortunately, not known to NSH at the time, the first hunter attempt died early on due to developing rot, rot which carried over to Hunter as a result.

Rot also developed in it's mouth, similarly to a tongue eating louse, when hunter died, that rot burst out, dislocating their jaw and hanging out, rot also brust from the seams of the patches as well...

Posting Rain World designs solo so i can ramble about the design PART 1:

Spearmaster!

My favourite little guy!!!

First of all I want to note that I made them very spikey because. Well. Spears.

But also! Also!! I make them very long and thin, and tall if they were to stand up. This is because Spears just gives me the vibes of having this body tyoe, but also because he's a messenger. They travel, and being taller and longer feels useful for that.

Their tail is very big and long, kind of like a fox. This draws attention to it and balances out the mass that cones from being a noodle.

Their tail holes open and close so I don't have to care about consistency <33

They have the same forehead mark as Suns as they are the creator of Spears as well as their owner. It's kind of like a collar. It tells the other iterators who they belong to.

I headcanon Spearmaster as moving in a more cat-like way, in that they move on all four limbs and balances on their toes. This is mostly because of the idea that Spears is Suns' pet scug, but also because I feel like Spears does a lot of climbing and balancing on spears, which would train them to be nimble on their toesies.

Expanding on the above point, Spears has longer arms to aid in movement. They move on all fours, so have longer legs to match the back ones.

Are those designs skins on the workshop? they’re so cool!

i actually am working on DMS skins for my designs! kinda putting the downpour one asides due to them being more complicated but i have monk, survivor and hunter done! my skin making skills arent the best but i like how they turned out atleast, since i was aiming for something simpler ill probably release them on the workshop when theyre all done, or i could upload the folders in a google drive or something for now

Some design notes because Iove her so much

Since she's a really old model, her antennae can't really move to communicate, that's a feature that came in later models

Her pupils/Eyeshine dimmed post collapse, however I imagine they were a little bit more clear after she got the rarefaction cell, sort of a visual representation of her power?

i am legally required to give her a moon phase motif I just had to, she deserves it I think

See that little patch of moss that looks a bit like a heart, I tried to make it match with my post collapse Pebbles design's heart shaped wound/hole... Something something parallels connected to their falls from grace

I also tried to make her sigil post collapse a little bit more purple! To sort of match with her in game sprite, kind of
