I think I just have been craving for dragon! Cale au lately ;-;

I literally dreamt it once and now it’s haunting me till 2 in the morning which is funny considering I wake up around 11-1 in the afternoon during weekends.

It’s an au about regressior!cale that’s a dragon that keeps on going back bc he the white shit keeps on destroying the world with his bs that his soul did a Penelope Eckart.

Aka a fragment split off to Korea.

Except when krs transmigrate back, their soul fused and so did their memories. Making both personalities mix together.

So he left the county with an oc of mine from 6y ago that can do dimension hopping named Caelum (pronounced as say-lum) which is for some reason me in that dream.

His attribute would be something of a game file where he can chose on what event he can regress and has logs on everything that happen and/ or can also compare this timeline with the other. He can also check his and other peoples stats and history

Anyways u can add on that later if you want I’m just gonna get it off my brain.

Dragon!KRS AU w/ CALE! :D

Okay so- I actually have 2 dragon-based aus but we're only talking about one for right now because I can.

Anyway, in this one, in particular, KRS is reincarnated not transmigrated to a few years before the beginning of everything. Except he is a dragon. And a very confused baby one at that. He stays in the den he seemed to be abandoned in for a bit but y'know our boy, out he goes to not mind his own business.

He thinks he may be in the TBoaH world, and is very confused, so he goes to investigate, ending up tired cuz he is a lil baby dragon. Either way, he lands and ends up resting in the shade of a nearby tree. Near Cale's mother's grave. Soooo, the two accidentally meet. Cale actually gets a handful of memories from before he regressed, only enough so he knows the very very first important thing to him (Basen in the plaza attack) and that he made the deal because his family doesn't make it through the war. KRS nor Cale have details about much outside of what the books had and neither know how exactly the war actually ends, just that the Henituse don't make it.

With the rambling out of the way, the fun part!

KRS does not plan to go by his name from Earth 1, he doesn't want any chance of Choi Han hearing a Korean name, but he's also lazy and doesn't care so he ends up passing that naming duty to someone else.

He actually ended up getting semi-adopted/kidnapped by Eruhaben, who heard a rumor through an elf that there was a baby dragon roaming around since KRS is literally not a year old and has no idea how mana works. He got seen by some guards and the rumors spread like wildfire.

Once again on accident, he ends up meeting Alverwayyyy before the day Choi Han makes his appearance, and being the sassy brothers they are in canon, it's not the prince's goal to irritate the small dragon after it clearly does not mind it truly. Aka, adopted sibling right then and there.

We got tiny dragon KRS, still not having a name, just tryna relax until he helps save Basen, since, even if he won't admit it, Cale is one of his family from the time they met initially. How can he not pick up every stray he sees????? Either way, that obviously never works out for our boy.

He just tries to go visit Cale about halfway through the wait until Choi Han and ends up having his first growth phase like mid-conversation, just flopping over (praise goldie gramps for catching his kid, cuz that's his kid at this point). He wakes up after a bit and is just straight to "gotta visit Cale" making both Alver and Eruhaben exasperated and also liking one another with that shared exasperation.

I have more ideas on this- like a lot-

For example;

KRSdoesn't want to be there when they save Raon because he's a dragon. He wants the younger to try and realize that not all humans are bad, just as not all 'good' beings are good.

He also maaaay have a run-in with that blood-crazed mage we oh so "love" and definitely remember. Did not help that his scales are blood red. A different red from Raon's brother, seeing as Dragons don't share colors, but definitely have different shades of colors.

Yeah idk- I can talk more about this if y'all want cuz idk if it'll ever leave my notes/doc XDDD

- In his first life, he is not known as trash but a rude and arrogant young master

- He accepted his step-family but he doesn't love them as family

- For Cale, they are like a distant family he's not particularly like or dislike and care for

- Cale definition of mother is Jour, so he doesn't quite know what to make of Violan

- Basen is to meek and timid for Cale, so he ignore him for most times

- Deruth was a faint presence in his first life

- The only constant he had were Ron and Vicross

- He died at the age of 18 when CH beat him up

- He wandered as ghost after that and know everything that happens after his death (his knowledge is as much as good, if not more, than TCF!Cale)

- He then regress but different from before, he got a baby brother from his mother

- Jour gave her AP to Cale

- In his second life, Jour died for having a weak body after a year giving a birth to Eros

- Cale just know that his baby brother is probably like him, a poor soul the God took pity on

- He also found the signs of PTSD because in his first life, he took care of a bunch of orphan and kids from slump

- The moment he laid his eyes to the baby, before he know that Eros is the same as him, he swore to himself that he will loves this precious existence with everything he have

- He is the one who take care of baby Eros since their mother death

- In this life, Cale grown into a distant, stoic and cold young master

- He only soften in the presence of his baby brother, he is not ashamed to openly being affectioness with him

- Cale also only become more of himself when with Ron and Vicross

- He spoil his baby brother rotten and always there for him

- By the ages of 13 he acquired Annual Rings of Life, Super Rock, Dominating Aura, White Crown, The Indestructible Shield, Vitality of the Heart (not in this order)

- And by the age of 15, he got Blood-Drenched Rock, Sky Eating Water, Fire of Destruction, The Sound of the Wind (don't ask me how)

- He also safe the dragon a year after he hatched. So it was when Cale was 15 and the dragon still 1 year old.

- Eros and the dragon become playmate

- Cale relationship with his step-family more or less same as his first life (I feels bad for making Basen and Lily longing for their big brother's love or recognition, something they might never get in this AU)

- He take On and Hong earlier because they were one of the kids he took care in his first life

- Cale doesn't want a thing to do with the heroes, so he work in the shadow

- He is under an alias and no one know about it long after the war (only the family he create know about this)

TCF, TBOAH, and ST reaction verse

They react to each other but mostly focus on TCF with only snipset of TBOAH and ST here and there

None of them know another group also react with them

The fourth group, lets call them R2, watch with interest

Especially toward the young master of Henituse, his supposed soul-switch partner, and the fate on their world

Their fate is not that different, but somehow they feels like they got it easier?

Note: when the reaction happens, Cale is 19 and Eros (Roksoo) is 12

Eros watch in interest of other him's fates

But he doesn't feels envy or anything, rather he is glad (and a little bit smug) for having his fate better than any of other him

Ater the reaction, the other three think it's over but the voice say that they will react to another world. They will react to R2 world

It's started with Eros first life to his reincarnation

They watch, and couldn't help but think, how lucky he is compared to his counterparts

ST!KRS is glad and thankful for his life now and will not trade it with anything, but watching his other self so happy and free, so loved, he can help but envy him

He doesn't feels anything like this while watching TCF!Cale, but maybe it's because he also going through the same thing as him before and maybe because he know that he can keep his idiot hyungs longer than TCF!Cale

TCF!Cale, despite being on old man, refuse to acknowledge a faint green emotion in him

OG!Cale and TBOAH!Cale watch in interest, it's mindblowing how different one existence can bring

They watch how R2!Cale instantly know when there is something wrong with his baby brother, how he always know and there

After from Eros life, they started from R2!Cale life

To say that they are shock is understatement

The Henituse feels complicated with how their relationship differ so vastly between them

Cales also feels complicated, TBOAH!Cale even started to doubt his actual feeling toward his step-family, "is he, after all, never really see them as family?"

The Voice then summon R2!Cale to their room after the reaction (they alreadt unsummons most occupiants and let only the important ones remains)

He stood in the middle of the room and sweap his eyes on them while blinking slowly. He impassively look at them

It's different from TCF!Cale that still emit a welcoming and warm feeling (unless you are strangers), this Cale look cold and detached from them

But they watch the second those cold eyes soften in a gentle warm when Eros is teleported to the room. They watch a gentle and loving smile slowly form on his lips, how his face look soft, when Eros exclaimed "Hyung!!" happily and went straight to hug him

Fuck it. I'm talking about this.

So we have

Cassandra(Callie) Thames

OgCale

And KRS

In this Au, OgCale was born a woman but crossdressed because she wanted to be a he. His feeling of gender dysphoria only grew with the death of his mother. Deruth ended up completely ignoring Cale, even debating sending him away because he was so much like Jour/Drew.

Eventually, everyone is led to believe Cale is indeed a man, despite still having the genetics of a woman. Only Ron knows about this.

KRS is the first to transmigrate, realizes his situation but is like 'meh, doesn't change much' not realizing what he now has to deal with every month...

Callie- or the one who becomes Callie- comes in a few days after KRS. In her past life, she was the middle child of a family. She was an artist, but often had her work stolen by her younger sibling while her older didn't really acknowledge her.

She comes from the same world as KRS, and her ability is similar to Choi Jung Soo. She has tattoos on her arms, the left is red, and the right is black. They are of dragons, and can turn into dragons.

The reason she transmigrated is that her family actually worshipped the God of Death and often prayed to him. She prayed to get out of her current... Undesirable circumstances. Since the GoD has favorites, he sent her too the TBOAH/TCF world.

He didn't expect her two dragons to absorb the souls of KRS and OgCale though...

The three inhabit the same body, but can't use each other's abilities. OgCale can only use the Annual Rings of Life, which they get early on because OgCale figured out this was his peculiar experience with time, KRS has his fuck-ton of Ancient Powers plus his abilities, while Callie has her dragons. Or now KRS and Cale, as she can summon them, but now the other two control them.

Their plates are also in a wacky situation. They are exactly fused as one would think. A portion of them is shared between the other two. So they're overlapping, not completely fused, but not completely separate. As time goes on though...

OgCale takes control a lot in the start, acting like his trashy self while also doing the tasks KRS told him to do. KRS takes control during important operations, like reaching Raon and during the bombing.

Callie is in control whenever they're alone, or with the kids. KRS and Cale are basically taking a break during this time. Callie is good with kids.

She also takes control once a month because the other two either don't want to or can't deal with the pain.

But once the war starts KRS is in control a lot more. Cale only comes out when they both agree to fuck someone over, or during noble meetings because all three hate them. Cale drew the short end of the stick with that.KRS got the pointy end

Callie is in control when KRS faints, so their body isn't left somewhere in enemy territory or who knows where. She also picks up painting again. But, since she also has some fighting experience KRS lets her do some of the planning too. Her plans may not be as outrageous as his, but they get the job done.

Poor puppy boi Choi Han is a mess when he finds out. Not one, but two?? In the same body??? And one of them is a woman??!!? Cale-nim is a woman??!?

He's so confused someone help him

KRS explains their situation... In dragon form... With OgCale right next to him...

The trio's cover story for everyone else is insanity. OgCale went mad with grief to the point his mind split into three. Himself, a side that mirrored his mother, and a side that was his idle self.

The kids can tell who's who immediately.

Everyone else takes a while to realize this

OgCale eventually fully surrenders his body to Callie and decides he's a dragon now. He can do whatever he wants. He gets his own body, a male one, from the Gods as compensation for dealing with this entire mess. And because he got screwed over in the original deal.

KRS permanently evicts a Radish from his body. Everyone now has to get used to the White Star walking around and being their headache inducing Commander.

Callie takes on the Thames family name, and presents KRS as the sole survivor of the family. Cassandra Thames enters the scene and gives Alberu a heart attack with a Red Dragon and the White Star when she introduces them as her Cousin and Uncle.

Ron, Eruhaben, and Deruth now have to fight off two continents worth a of suitors vying for Cassandra's hand in marriage.

In short: This Au is a giant beautiful fucking mess and I love it

TCF Prompt 16

AU - The After Years

OG Cale, OG Choi Han and Kim Rok Soo. A regressor and transmigrator(and in Choi Hans case: both).

Changing the fate of TBOAH world for the better.

This takes place after the 2 year war. Where all that's left is trying to relax, heal, and deal with shitty politics and annoying drama along the way.

Before:

KRS fully transmigrated like CH.

Cale regressed to his 18 year old self(20 after the war is over).

Both CH and Cale regress before Harris Village is destroyed. They both end up saving it(Cale gaining one half of his mothers AP in the process)

Cale returns home injured giving Deruth bad flashbacks of Jour(alongside the staff and rest of the family) and also causing Ron and Beacrox not to leave yet.

GoD fucks up KRS transmigration and accidently dumps him in a empty well in the slums(after the Harris Village incident). Two certain kittens find him and lead Cale to him.

GoD sends a couple of hyungs as an apology. LSH and CJS are both 'alive and well' and joining in the chaos.

This leads to Cale learning of the shield AP and bringing in On and Hong much earlier.

KRS did not get the AP's to go along with his abilities, but gave them to Cale. Cale also has both halves of his mothers AP.

They head to the capital earlier too(or in Cale's case, sneaks off with them), saving a certain adorable baby dragon along the way. Choi Han is bitter at his 'past' self for what originally happened, but glad he could save him this time.

Ron and Beacrox go after them.

Redika may have gone after Cale during the bombing incident, and CH may or may not have actually killed him this time when he saw that mage so much as look at Cale like that. Both Ron and Beacrox also see Cale cough up blood, they are not happy.

Alberu is now another lil brother of the 'Soos' and having to call KRS "Hyung" this time around.

KRS and Cale giving everyone grey hairs during the war(and each other of course).

Actually they still do it even after the war(for ex: Cale drinking poison meant for a certain 'Prince Charmless' of his.)

KRS's original body was from the Thames family, so Cale is technically his blood relative. Which makes their bond even stronger(and KRS is very protective, because he finally has 'blood' family that's still alive, and he's making sure it stays that way).

Most events happen as in TCF, but also not(cause more people and memories to cause chaos. But it all works out in the end).

After:

Cale and CH have a truce and are close 'friends'(CH may or may not like his beautiful red head more than a friend, alongside a certain protective crown prince).

KRS, LSH and CJS finally have their farm.

Cale's trash act was finally ousted as an act(in most parts anyway). His family and old friends(Amiru, Gilbert and Eric), especially his siblings, were not amused(and are trying very hard to heal and understand one another better. They are also even more overprotective of each other.)

Cale still be trying to act as an elegant trash, but no ones having it(Ron may or may not have filled a bottle with lemonade instead of alcohol when he tried…)

His father also finally said he would make him the heir instead of Basen if he tried again(and certain vassals and staff are finally dealt with).

Cale has an interest/talent in the arts, something he and Violan finally bond over(and Violan is very pleased, cause neither Basen nor Lily are really interested in her work, etc. She can finally pass down some knowledge to one of her kids).

Cale, Bud and Cage(alongside Taylor when he can make it) are all drinking buddies.

Beacrox and Cale also come to an understanding(and while Cale jokingly calls him Hyung once again like when he was a child, Beacrox is actually happy to hear it again. Ron finds his kids adorable.)

The kids can finally proceed to have a very extra spoiled childhood without a war/fight looming over their heads. They do have to deal with school/tutoring now as well.

Alberu/Cale/Choi Han eventually do become a thing. After some extra slow burn, pining, and drama of course(and not only getting pass the Henituse family, but KRS as well, err…after he's done with his nap anyway.)

Somehow Cale is still as oblivious as KRS on certain things…maybe its a family trait haha.

Its not TBOAH or TCF without misunderstandings!

KRS and Cale still healing from the damage done from defeating the WS and the SG.

The Soo's be scamming them nobles when they give their found family problems.

Hunters can be a thing if wanted. Like an annoying fly that just needs to be swatted.

Everyone is kinda OP, GoD is so proud…and very very scared ;A;

TCF Pokémon!AU

In case you don’t know I’m a Pokémon!AU sucker, so when I find a new obsession I usually think of a Pokémon!AU for it… and Trash of the Count´s family it’s not gonna be the exception XD! Note: The Cale I’m gonna use for this AU is Cale/KRS because I don’t know much about OG!Cale besides the fact that he was smarter and more sensitive than he let others see. Let’s begin:

We find ourselves on the Roan Kingdom, a peaceful and wealthy country that it’s located in a far away region of the Pokémon World. Our person of interest is Cale Henituse, a twenty years old who happens to be the oldest son of a kind and just duke but Cale choose to live a more mundane life as a Pokémon Breeder that owns a vast and fruitful Pokémon ranch and shelter by the skirts of his family’s territory. Cale’s ranch/shelter is called “Hope & Adventure Ranch” and it’s practically attached to a very old, deep and large forest area known as the Dark Forest. Living with Cale are his adopted children On, Hong and Raon, the ex-pokémon thieve Ron and his son Beacrox, the Pokémon Rangers Choi Han and Lock, the Pokémon Doctor Rosalyn and Dragon Type Expert Eruhaben.

Cale’s “official” Pokémon: Cale doesn’t think that Pokémon are something that you capture or own so he always tried to not capture any while he was younger but those that were stubborn enough to follow him around (read, annoy him to death)until he properly captured them with a poke-ball are more than happy to be with him. These lovely souls are:

· Ninetales (F). – Kanto Ninetales. She originally was the most loyal companion of Cale’s mother, who died when Cale was about seven years old. After her mistress’s death she decides to stay by Cale’s side since she knows how much her mistress’s loved her son.

· Aegislash (F). – The glutton of the team, to say that she eats as much as a Snorlax it is not an exaggeration. Cale found her when she was a smaller than average Honedge that was about to die out of hunger, long story short, Cale gave her food and took to a Pokémon center, she has followed Cale everywhere since then.

· Blissey (F). – She started to follow Cale around when she was still a Happiny; it was kinda like love at first sight. Cale was visiting the Breeding facility where Happiny had recently hatched at and the instant her eyes landed on him she just started to follow him. When Cale left the Breeding Facility she broke out by punching down a wall.

· Flygon (M). – Rescued by Cale when he was drowning as a recently evolved Vibrava that was adjusting to his new wings. Since he is slightly bigger than most of his species Cale tends to ride on his back to get away from dangerous situations.

· Salamence (M). – Cale’s trump card. He once was unable to fly due a wing injury but thanks to Cale he learned how to fly again. Salamence loves to get in trouble alongside Cale because it is always exciting. Cale has also taught him how to use electric type attacks and combine them with fire type attacks and dragon type attacks.

· Milotic (F). – If Salamence is Cale’s strongest then Milotic is Cale’s most aggressive. Before Cale she had another trainer that abused her and kept her locked in a cage, Cale freed her and allows her to be herself. Alongside Salamence they are the trouble makers of the team.

· Golurk (/). – The parent of Cale’s team. Ix started to follow Cale once he saw the very dangerous and constant situations that the red-head gets in. Ix shields Cale from any danger and when he is too tired to keep going Golurk carries him like a baby.

Cale’s other Pokémon: (They are not registered as Cale’s Pokémon but followed him and now they live in the ranch/shelter). Ditto, Rotom, Pidgeot, Furret, Ariados, Unown, Slowking, Umbreon, Espeon, Castform, Absol, Liepard, Talonflame, Florges, Decidueye and Lycanroc (Dusk Form). Note: There are many more Pokémon at the ranch/shelter but these ones are the most protective of Cale after his official team.

Other Pokémon that follow Cale around since a very long time ago but Cale is not aware of them (read, Cale chose to deny that they follow him around for the sake of his own sanity): Mew, Celebi, Victini, Shaymin, Darkrai, and Hoopa.

Ninjago: Ongeki Hibiki - an idea of Kamen Rider X Ninjago

Ever since I came back to the Kamen Rider series, one particular Rider-Ninjago match up has been stuck on me for a while. Believe it or not, it's between Kamen Rider Hibiki and Cole's dad, Lou. There's a reason why I gave his surname (and by extention Cole) as Hibiki.

While I haven't watch the entirety of Kamen Rider Hibiki (or Kamen Rider in general, really) save for some YouTube clips, I at least have the general gist of the plot and how the staff changes affect the second half of the season.

But enough of that, let's get to the proposed story of Lou as Hibiki.

Overview and Brief History

Back in 20... what? 10? 12? It was when Gaim was the latest Kamen Rider on air. There's really not much premise since it was still in a "casting agency" phase, meaning I still playing matching up without much story put on thought.

Lou is no different. I assigned him to be Hibiki simply for the latter's theme in music. He's in a team consisting of Dr. Julien as Kabuto and Ed Walker as Den-O, both of which doesn't have valid reasons to be matched up with like Lou did other than it sounds cool on paper. You could argue that Ed is Den-O because Den-O is one of if not the quirkiest Heisei Phase 1 Rider and Ed is that quirky while Kabuto has technological emphasis in which Dr. Julien is related to but these kinda stretching it.

Come this year. 2020.

Lou's Story as Hibiki

The idea is that, since it's confirmed that Onis exist in Ninjago's World, there's supposedly a small Oni tribe known as the Ongeki tribe, famous for their usage of music in battle. This again split into 4 clans. The clan of Ibuki which specialized in wind instruments, the Zanki clan specialized in string instruments, an unnamed clan which specialized in keyboard instruments, and the Hibiki clan which specialized in percussion instruments. They are separate from the usual Onis of Ninjago's Continuity in that they rather left out of the never ending war between Onis and Dragons, only come out to the battlefield whenever necessary. However, this in turn causes friction with the other Onis, the latter deeming them to be cowards. It resulted in a genocide against the Ongeki tribe, with only one (or a few, maybe) survivor.

Lou (original name unknown) was an Oni from the Hibiki clan. He specifically mastered in taiko drums, in leu with the original Hibiki. Not much known about his past except he was a trained warrior. While skilled, he's considered to be one of the lowest ranking warrior. On the day of the genocide, he managed to escape to the realm which would become Ninjago with the help of another Oni, which may or may not be Mistaké.

As an Oni, his form is closer to that of the Oni of Kamen Rider Hibiki, in particular Hibiki himself, rather that the Oni of Ninjago. Once settled in Ninjago, he changed into a form that we now know as Lou. As a disguised human, he often changing identities and jobs. But each jobs he had were always have to do with music, something he felt reminding him of his home.

This might be forced but let's talk of how Lou transforms into his Oni form using a device rather than at will like most of Ninjago's Oni. Cuz I like the Henshin Onsa :P

Lou, back then know with a different name that suspiciously similar to the OG Hibiki (Hitoshi Hidaka) down to the alletrative name, was involved with helping the First Spinjitzu Master fending off the Oni forces sent to capture him. However, since he's weaker than the FSM, he's captured quickly by the Oni. Believing that having his powers would be an obstacle to them, the Oni forces decided to seal away his Oni powers and form, rendering him a normal man. They didn't manage to do the same to Mistaké tho, as they're driven away from Ninjago.

It is at this time that the FSM offered to help him tapping into his Oni powers, which led to the creation of the Henshin Onsa, a tuning-fork shaped transformation device. It lets him to access his Oni powers and ability yet not enough to return him to his Oni form. He only finally able to turn into his Oni form again after a tougher training, and even then he still need to use the Onsa for it.

Due to the extended lifespan of an Oni, Lou had lived long enough to know the history of Ninjago itself in the making. However, he only known as what he is now when he met with The Elemental Master of Earth. They both fell in love quite fast and not even the revelation of Lou's true identity hindered their love for one another. This led to their marriage and later the birth of Cole.

Cole was unaware of his heritage as an Oni as Lou tried his best not talk about his other activity, often disguised it as something related to his current occupation as the Royal Blacksmith. Speaking of Royal Blacksmith, he established it with three other people not long after Cole's birth.

Now for something related to his injury, that is his broken foot. See, while he presented it as some insignificant accident, in reality he was injured while fighting against a giant creature similar to the Makamou of KR Hibiki. In his defense, it did happened during a big party in which he's invited to.

General Appearance as Hibiki

While his Oni form is that of OG Hibiki's, Lou's transformed or powered state is usually signified with his suit turning into a simple purple colored hakama with brown ropes fastening a golden Oni face similar to the early Ninja gi where the Oni face is replaced with elemental symblos. His footwear is a pair of wooden sandals and a pair of white socks. A red taiko drumstick known as Ongekibou usually appears on his back in a crossing manner fastened by the ropes.

Rider AU vs Symphogear AU vs A Canon Divergance

Here's the deal. I have two or three idea for Lou as Hibiki.

The first one is a Canon Divergance, in which I have elaborated above. His relationship with Cole is still strained, even more so once Cole found out that Lou isn't what he appears to be. But it does work around later on.

The second is the Rider AU. While the whole Ongeki tribe thing still exist, its demise is instead causes by a group known as Shocker (the OG Kamen Rider's enemy). The circumstance of his transformation is different as well. In here, Lou was almost got killed and went missing, leading to the then teenager Cole to go after Shocker in revenge. This leads to him nearly dying, only surviving thanks to Dr. Julien turning him into a cyborg and become Ninjago's equivalent of Kamen Rider Black. Lou returns to his only family after recovering from his wound.

The last is Symphogear AU. His circumstance is that he's an early expermentation of Symphogear's prototype, utilizing the power of music (specifically taiko music) as opposed to the more well known song. In appearance, he is also different to his successor in that he wears a hakama instead of armors. Of course, his son Cole become the next Symphogear wielder who utilize the power of Gungnir relic. Lou's relic is left unknown.

part 1

so. this is part one of a red dragon!krs fic ive been building up… this first chapter doesnt really have much much interesting scenes as of right now, and I’d love love love the input from everyone on how to continue, ideas for characters, and if theres anything i should consider changing!! that doesnt mean that i’ll be changing everything according to commenters, but i’d value all opinions to help build this plot 🥲

I’ve already finished around 3 similar length chapters and recently got stuck, so think of these posts as drafts and final revisions will probably go officially on AO3. thanks everyone 🤪

Oh, Pitiful Dragon (1)

Ever since his birth, the child longed for death. If it could take away his pain and grant his freedom, he’d trade anything he had so scarce of already. And on a particularly horrible day— the day that terrible man decided he would rip out his heart and use it for evil— the little child met a god.

The God of Death.

He thought it was ironic, seeing how soon his own demise was due soon. But this God didn’t come to reap his death, rather it came to propose a deal.

And the red dragon would accept any deal to be free of this pitiful life.

Kim Roksoo awoke suddenly from his slumber. His vision was black and only began to adjust to his blurred version after continuous blinking. Why was it so dark? And how had he fallen asleep? He was just finishing Volume 5 of The Birth of a Hero series and now— wait, are those chains?!

His eyes blew open and his vision was finally adjusted to the pitch darkness that surrounded him. He tried to stand but winced when pain spiked all across his body. Only then did he realize just how badly injured he was. Why was he so weak? Had someone kidnapped and beat him to a pulp?! He was completely blinded by the inexplicable pain that he hadn’t realized something much more important. No— wait, pain is important! It’s definitely concerning! But… why was his whole body covered in crimson scales?

‘Oh geez, well isn’t this new.’

Shortly after he had that thought he passed out from exhaustion and shock.

When Kim Roksoo woke again, he was practically being strangled. He quickly gasped for air and focused in on his current situation. He was being held up tightly by a metal collar on his (very, very sore) neck by some strange man in front of him. His hair was a long, spiky mess of blond and didn’t look very well-maintained. But his eyes… they were bloodshot red and had a crazed glint to them.

‘Crazy bastard…!’

Roksoo’s breathing was beginning to strain more and more, and suddenly he felt something prick beneath his scales painfully. He looked down and saw a clear tube running from his body all the way through an open passageway not so far from him. His blood began flowing through it.

‘Blood— They’re.. taking my blood?’

His thoughts were becoming even more incoherent by the second but after securing the clear tube into the little red dragon, the crazed man dropped him to the floor.

“You’re blood is so pure and vibrant, it’s so beautiful.. just like the color of your scales! It will definitely aid our liege and his cause. Haha!”

All Roksoo could think of was how crazy this lunatic was. He was still heavily panting, because honestly when was he not at this point, but thankfully he hadn’t passed out again. Instead, he glared with all his being towards the crazy bastard standing above him. Unfortunately, it only seemed to excite the lunatic even more.

“Maybe I really should visit you more. That look in your eyes gives me chills!”

Mumbling to himself, the psycho soon left the room through the very passage his blood was being drawn towards, and Roksoo was left alone; unprotected and cold. He hated feeling this way. These people didn’t seem to want him alive for so long, considering his “luxury” treatment. He was going to miserably die at their hands sooner or later. And he was too weak to do anything about it.

His eyes suddenly flashed with memories— no, records— of his fight with the second unranked monster to plague Korea. Lee Soohyuk and Choi Jungsoo… he had let them die. It was his fault and he knew it. It was something he’d regret for the rest of his life. But… they had told him to keep living. To keep living for them. He couldn’t die. It didn’t matter how he got into this situation. He’d rather crawl in shit than die this pathetically. He’d survive his new predicament— this new life that’s been granted to him. He’d survive.

He’d definitely survive to smack these bastards in the back one day.

Roksoo had spent weeks in that dark hell. His blood continued to flow from his body to somewhere unknown, he was paid violent visits by that lunatic, and he got weaker and weaker because of it. But his will didn’t waver for a second. Whenever someone came in to check on him, he’d mark it in his mind every time. Soon enough, he learned their patterns and found openings. He finally had a plan to escape this hell, no matter how many holes there were.. it was a chance.

With his limited information, there was only so far he could get, but somewhere deep inside him, he knew he’d manage. So, he followed his instincts. The minute his opening came, he used all the strength he had gathered and focused.

‘Concentrate. Concentrate on that feeling you’ve been accumulating, Roksoo!’

Suddenly, Roksoo felt as if he’d achieved some sort of enlightenment like the ones described in murim stories. He felt an overwhelming warmth spread throughout his body and a rush of adrenaline pumped through his veins exponentially. This power… He didn’t know where it had suddenly manifested from, but he was sure now. He could get out of here using it. His mind and body began working beyond their limits, and eventually everything around him felt like it was moving at a snails pace.

‘Instant..?’

His second ability from his past life, Instant. Time would seize and he could move freely for a short while. With a heavy cost on his body of course.

‘But this… it’s similar to instant, but it’s not completely it. I think— No, I can definitely handle this much better than what I’ve been able to before in Korea.’

His new body must’ve integrated Instant into another power. And this new power was about to help him escape. A small smirk graced his torn and bloodied face. Perfect.

Shackles that were tying his limbs down shattered beneath the little dragon’s feet in the blink of an eye, and in a literal instant he was darting across the passage with his slashed and scarred limbs.

‘Keep going. I have to keep going and get out of here!’

He was sprinting through the corridors, and if anybody had looked his way all they would’ve seen was a long, red blur. A bright light was beginning to seep in between the cracks in the ceiling of the dark man-made cave he was confined in.

‘Screw the consequences, we’re blasting through!’

With incredible speed, Roksoo was right beneath the seeping cracks of light and expanded his unused wings for the first time. His wingspan barely fit within the wide corridor as he spread them out and up, blasting off from his spot on the ground and flying like a rocket towards the ceiling. He was making it out.

Just as he impacted and the dust and debris had shot up everywhere, he spotted a few individuals standing far off in the sunlight. The most notable was a red haired main of fairly tall stature completely frozen in place by Roksoo’s sudden escapade. He wore a strange white mask over his upper face, his eyes a bright red with hints of brown. The person looked far to similar to Roksoo. His prominent crimson red and his own piercing reddish-brown eyes. They would’ve looked entirely the same if it weren’t for Roksoo’s current form.

He only locked eyes with the man for a split second, and continued shooting up into the sky. He began to hear shouts and alarms blaring within his vicinity. He had been encaged in a mountain with a large encampment stealthily surrounding it. He’d remember this exact spot.

Massive fireballs and arrows began piercing the sky in an attempt to bring Roksoo down, but he clumsily maneuvered around each and just barely grazed a few on his crimson scales. Suddenly, a blinding white spear had crossed his vision. And before he knew it, another had pierced right through his wing, tearing it open a considerable amount. Roksoo stifled the cry of pain that threatened escaping his lips, and instead gritted his teeth and continued to fly towards any kind of safety. Anything other than here will be safe, he just needs to lose these bastards first. The adrenaline rush he had originally received numbed all the pain in his body, but he knew that wouldn’t last with his current levels. He had to make use of every last bit of this power that he had in him.

He flew over an ocean and kept flying as far away as he could. Eventually he reached the mainland. The forest underneath him was dark and vast, a perfect hiding spot. He glides over the tree-line and with his remaining strength he just barely managed a suitable landing right by a flowing river. His landing was a little on the rough side and he was still so sore, but… he had finally made it out. He was successful. Now, he could truly live a slacker life! Wait— he still needs to get back at the bastards who had tortured him in the first place. Ah.. he also needs to secure enough funds for his slacker life as well.

Sigh.

Roksoo had much to do before he got to live a peaceful life.

‘But first, let’s just lay here a little while longer…’

Roksoo succumbed to his exhaustion and pain, entering a deep slumber.
