90. GLT: Afternoon Tea

Letzte Woche hatten wir das erste große Meetup des Jahres und sind zum Afternoon Tea gegangen. Aber der erste Programmpunkt war ein Spaziergang im Nikolaiviertel mit Fotos. Das Thema des Meets war "Retro/ Vintage/ Granny Chic" und ich habe mich an einer vintage anmutenden Coord versucht.

Die Weste hatte ich kurz vor dem Meetup fertiggestellt und das Outfit dann drumherum geplant. Ich habe mich sehr elegant darin gefühlt und Saskia (@pink-dino) hat wirklich schöne Fotos gemacht. <3 Außerdem hat das Outfit zu meinem Fahrrad gepasst, was natürlich ein toller Bonus war.

Passend zum Vintage-Thema hatte ich auch meine Polaroid-Kamera dabei, um ein paar Bilder zu machen. Leider hat die Kälte dem Entwicklungsprozess nicht allzu gutgetan, aber das trägt bei solchen Bildern ja im Zweifel nur zum Flair bei ^^

Zum Afternoon Tea waren wir dann in der Wilden Mathilde. Das Ambiente ist dort sehr cool und die Etageren sahen wirklich umwerfend aus! Inhaltlich waren sie allerdings leider nicht so beeindruckend, vor allem weil sie ausschließlich aus Süßem bestanden, was schnell zu viel wird.

Insgesamt war es wieder ein sehr schönes Meetup. Am wichtigsten ist ja immer die richtige Gesellschaft und die war definitiv da!

GLT auf dem Festival of Lights

Am 09. Oktober haben wir ein GLT zum Festival of Lights veranstaltet. Ich hatte mir diese Veranstaltung noch nie angesehen und war sehr gespannt darauf. Unser Treffpunkt war an der Volksbühne, da wir als erstes im SOY etwas essen gegangen sind. Das SOY ist ein veganes vietnamesisches Restaurant und das Essen dort war super lecker.

Zu diesem GLT habe ich Nik mitgenommen, um ihm mal zu zeigen, was es mit den Lolita-Treffen auf sich hat und ihn ein paar meiner Freunde vorzustellen. Das süße Foto von uns hat Laura gemacht. Es waren auch ein paar Mitglieder der Community da, die lange nicht mehr kommen konnten und es war eine Freude, sich mal wieder zu sprechen. Vor dem Restaurantbesuch haben wir natürlich Outfit-Fotos gemacht. Dass Nik gerne und schön fotografiert war natürlich ein zusätzlicher Bonus, auf einem Fashion-Meetup ist das immer gut. Daher sind die meisten Fotos in diesem Post auch aus seiner Kamera.

Das Thema war "Dark Academia", wozu ich meinen neuen Violet-Fane-Rock angezogen habe. Der Rest ist offbrand. Den Gürtel mag ich sehr gern, ich habe ihn mal aus einem Taschenriemen selbst gemacht. Nach dem Essen sind wir dann losgezogen um uns das Festival anzusehen.

Verschiedene Sehenswürdigkeiten wurden beleuchtet und es gab auch einige andere Lichtinstallationen. Wir hatten leider nicht die Zeit, uns alles anzusehen, sind aber eine schöne Route gelaufen. Überall konnte man leuchtende Ballons und blinkende Blumenkränze kaufen und Sarah ist letztlich schwach geworden. Der Kranz stand ihr aber auch sehr gut und war hilfreich, um sich im Getümmel nicht zu verlieren.

Insgesamt fand ich das Festival schön. Die meisten Projektionen waren nicht allzu beeindruckend, aber hübsch anzusehen, und ein paar Stationen waren auch wirklich schön. Am besten hat mir (und vermutlich den meisten anderen auch) der Tanz der Luftwesen vor dem Berliner Dom gefallen. Die leuchtenden Ballons sahen aus wie fischähnliche Drachenwesen und sind elegant durch die Luft geschwebt. Wir haben sie liebevoll "Wolche" getauft, weil wir uns nicht einig waren ob sie Welsen oder Molchen mehr ähneln (wahrscheinlich keinem davon).

Wie man auf den unteren zwei Bildern sieht war es wirklich unfassbar voll. Vor allem auf der Straße unter den Linden haben sich schiere Unmengen an Menschen getummelt, um die Installationen zu sehen. Dadurch haben wir leider auch recht früh einen Teil der Gruppe verloren. Wer Schwierigkeiten in Menschenmengen hat sollte sich das Festival vermutlich lieber am Montag ansehen, da ist es deutlich leerer.

Genau das werde ich dann vermutlich zukünftig tun, denn mir hat das Festival of Lights gut gefallen, aber mit weniger Getümmel hätte ich es noch mehr genießen können. Für ein GLT war es vermutlich nicht die optimale Wahl, aber zum Glück hatten wir vorher im Restaurant schon eine sehr schöne Zeit, sodass es insgesamt ein tolles Treffen war.

Weihnachts-GLT

Am Samstag, den 17.12.22 hatten wir nach zwei Jahren Pause wieder unser traditionelles Weihnachts-GLT. Es ist in der Regel das größte Treffen des Jahres und es war toll, die festlichen Coords der Comm-Mitglieder zu sehen. Der erste Programmpunkt war ein Weihnachtsmarkt-Besuch. Dort gab es Glühwein, Punsch und heiße Schokolade und wir konnten einige tolle Headpieces und Mäntel bewundern. Außerdem wurde mir ein Stand mit einer tollen Käseauswahl gezeigt, wo ich einen herrlichen Feigen-Ziegenfrischkäse kaufen konnte. Der Weihnachtsmarkt am Bebelplatz war relativ voll, aber man konnte sich immer noch angenehm bewegen. Was mich besonders gefreut hat, war, dass wir zwei Mal sehr freundlich auf unsere Outfits angesprochen und nach Fotos gefragt wurden. Angesichts der zeitweise deutlich unangenehmeren Erfahrungen mit "neugierigen" Außenstehenden war es sehr schön, an diesem Tag nur positive Begegnungen zu haben.

Nach dem Weihnachtsmarkt sind wir in ein Restaurant in der Nähe gegangen, da wir so eine große Gruppe waren, wurde für uns der "Weiße Salon" bereitgestellt, was natürlich wunderbar zur Ästhetik passte. Mit Maike und Mona habe ich auch ein gemeinsames Selfie gemacht ♡ Das Essen war sehr gut, ich hatte ein Omelette mit Pilzfüllung als vegetarische Option. Das Restaurant serviert typisch deutsche Küche, hat mittlerweile aber auch vegetarische Bouletten und Currywurst im Angebot. Nur für Veganer:innen könnte es schwierig werden, etwas auf der Karte zu finden.

Ein weiterer wichtiger Programmpunkt war das Wichteln. Ich war in diesem Jahr eine von fünf Teilnehmerinnen, allerdings war meine Empfängerin leider krank. Ich habe von meinem Wichtel eine wunderschöne Brosche aus Seidenblumen bekommen. sie hat einen warmen Cremeton und ich freue mich schon darauf, sie in ein Outfit einzubauen. Außerdem habe ich sogar noch ein Weihnachtsgeschenk bekommen: Das "Easter Bunny's Spring Garden" Barette von BtSSB. Die zwei Accessoires passen wirklich perfekt zu meinem Stil und auch noch sehr gut zusammen, ich habe mich mega gefreut. (Und tu es immer noch ein bisschen) ♡

Zu guter Letzt noch ein Bild von meiner Coord. Die Pose habe ich ganz dreist von Amanda kopiert, sie hat mich auch ein bisschen in ihren Posen gecoacht :D Ich war sehr stolz auf meine Frisur an dem Tag und habe auch viele Komplimente dafür bekommen. Ich habe zwei alte Tutorials kombiniert, eines von Bernadette Banner und eines, an das ich mich leider nicht mehr erinnern kann. Das Ergebnis finde ich sehr passend zu einem Hut wie diesem.

I've been struggling with these self imposed regrets and fears and standards of being an artist nearing 30. While I wanted to start by sketching something on my bed today, I ended up grabbing my VSS 30 and mucking around for a moment. (at least i'm not good enough with music and haven't been doing it for 18 years to feel like I'm unaccomplished with it.......... x.x;) I found these out of key lower chords and some higher notes and thought to take it into Ableton. Some sounds from my spaceship that's in VRC are present here — I thought I'd fill in some of the area with droning and water from it. I didn't seek out to make anything impressive. I suppose I just wanted to feel what I felt in the moment and this was it.

This doesn't happen often, but unfortunately we had a #segacd that we had done a major #retrorepair overhaul on come back with some issues. Looks USPS California was a bit rough with this poor guy. A #ribboncable was dislodged and the drive was out of alignment. Not a problem for #offthecharts. We sent our customer a prepaid label, brought it in, fixed the damage, and found even another repair aside from the previous scope of work! He got that one for free, and we're covering shipping back. We care about our customers and when something goes wrong, we make it right. I hope he gets to enjoy some #Cliffhanger when the system gets back home!

Replaced the Ribbon Circuit as well as the Front face Shell of this PS4 controller. The problem was the X button was having issues accoding to the customer so I replaced the entire ribbon to ensure that the issue wouldn't happen to any other buttons.
