“Can I hug you?”

You had just gotten back home from possibly the worst night of your entire life, and seeing your roommate in the kitchen in his pyjamas and hoodie pulled over his head made your heart clench in your chest. The question slipped out before you had time to think about what you were about to say to your best friend who you’d never had any amount of prolonged skinship with in your entire 4 years of knowing him (though not for a lack of wanting to).

Anton was silent for a second, slightly shocked by your question, and still holding a spoon in his hand from his long empty bowl of cereal. His brain couldn’t exactly process your question before his eyes flitted to your face and he was nodding quickly. He probably would’ve interrogated you or even teased you about it given how unusual it was, but you looked like you desperately needed to be held tightly, and all Anton cared about suddenly was making sure you were okay.

You were glad he didn’t say anything, because you probably would’ve burst into tears if he had. You weren’t ready to talk about why you felt so awful— all you craved for was silent comfort. Relief flooded through you as soon as Anton wrapped his arms around you, squeezing you close to his chest.

You closed your eyes and hugged him back, focusing on evening your breath to his in order to calm down. The right side of your face rested over his heart, and you could hear it beating steadily, maybe a tiny bit faster than usual, but you didn’t focus on it.

You weren’t sure how long you stayed like that. It felt so comfortable, so right, in his arms that time seemed to slow. It felt like even breathing too loudly would completely break the moment, so Anton worked extremely hard to keep his breath soft.

He wasn’t sure what or who had made your night turn sour, but he was determined to be there to make it better; not just now, but in the future as well. He hadn’t realized it before, but as he held you close in his arms, noticing how perfectly you fit in them, as if you were made for it, he realized you had been the only one in his heart for some time. And he hoped you would be the last person he held, and the last to fill every corner of his heart.

cooked this up at work rq oops sungchan brainrot

sungchan reminds me of cold spring night.

u two are desperate to get warm as u entangle urselves together, sharing laughs as u bunch up under the giant comforter and fuzzy blanket, teeth chattering together as u both smile. he'll frantically rub at ur arms to warm u up, asking the goosebumps on ur skin to go down.

he loves looking at u before he sleeps, knowing ur the last thing he sees before dozing off makes him feel content. the small conversations u two have before falling into a comfortable silence after mutually agreeing its time to close ur eyes. u always shut urs first, his fingers grazing over ur features as he hums a sweet tune.

but he seems to always be the first one to fall asleep, so u shovel his hand into urs, giving the back of his hand soft strokes with ur thumb as u start to drift off as well.

its rare u fall asleep first, but when u do, sungchan lets his hands linger around, leaving his palm to rest comfortably against ur cheek, thumb pressing against ur plush lips. he completely zones out, finding so much comfort in holding something so precious to him that he just falls asleep minutes after u.

u both wake up to the warm, early mornings. sun beams filtering through cracks in ur curtains, blankets tossed off slightly to the side from the residual heat u both felt while asleep. his arm is tossed over u with his stomach laid flat down against the mattress. u lay still on ur side, limbs kept to themselves, eyes beginning to flutter open. somehow, ur both still facing each other.

a blooming feeling fills ur chest on this warm spring day. a soft blush growing on ur cheeks as u watch ur boyfriend continue to sleep, completely oblivious to u eyeing him down. u never considered urself a person with a lot of luck. its only until the intimate moments like these remind u everyday how lucky u really are.

eunseok giggled at the texts before he shut his phone and slipped it into his pocket, ignoring the way it kept vibrating and turning his attention to the girl who was busy gawking at the cafe's decor.

“looks like you like it here.” he broke her out of her dazed state; to which she smiled sheepishly to. “yeah.. you brought me to a miffy themed cafe, eunseok.. of course i like it.”

of course he had to bring her to anything miffy related. he liked the way she squealed whenever she saw the character. even her outfit had miffy-related things to it, including her famous hair accessory.

“then, i’m glad,” he smiled and leaned back in his chair, tilting his head. “there’s a store i wanna take you to as well. it’s not far from here.” yn nodded and soon after, the waiter came with their orders.

after having brunch together, eunseok took her to a miffy store, again, he had to.

it got hard for him to hide the way her reactions towards things made him smile, so he gave up on doing that as a whole. and a smile was kept on his lips, with occasional laughter here and there.

“oh, seok, look! they have rings,” yn gasped, picking up two rings that she thought matched their styles and turned around to show them to him.

eunseok walked to where she was standing, examining the rings. “do you want them?”

“yeah, i think i’m gonna get both,” she giggled before she moved to the plushie section.

“i’m pretty sure you don’t have any plushies at your place.” yn said, looking around at the different miffy plushies. “does a keychain count?”

yn gave him a judging look and she shook her head:“no, it doesn’t count!”

yn spent the next 20 minutes helping the boy look for the perfect plushie for him, after lots of struggling, the one that eunseok liked was a gray miffy plushie. so they got that along with the rings.

by the end of the afternoon, the two were already walking home because eunseok had evening classes.

yn cursed the moment she planned her outfit because now she was getting cold due to the cool spring breeze.

but of course eunseok noticed the way she shivered, and of course he took his jacket off and draped it over her shoulders.

“you don’t have to.” yn frowned at him, attempting to remove it and give it back, but eunseok shook his head; dismissing her. “i want to.”

“eunseok, is this…” yn spoke after a moment of comfortable silence; earning a hum from the boy. “is this a date?”

eunseok stopped in his tracks, looking at her now with an unreadable expression. “do you want it to be a date?”

yn shrugged, chewing down on her lower lip to silence herself. “yn, do you want it to be a date?” he said, his thumb and index fingers gently holding her chin, tilting her head up.

“…yeah”

“alright,”

“alright?”

eunseok smiled and took his hand off her chin, only to slip it into hers and pulling her to continue walking. “yeah, alright, it’s now considered a date, our first date.”

Seeing you walk out in those tiny shorts has his body going completely haywire. Anton was in the kitchen making his late night snack of ramen when he had heard you bedroom door open, but the sight he was given was not what he was prepared for.

Dressed in a tiny tank top and those pink frilly shorts he had never seen before had him freezing on the spot, and mind going places they had never gone. Well.. that's a lie. Anton would be lying if he said he had never thought of what your skin would feel like under his fingertips but he had always stopped himself from doing anything due to the situation.

The situation being the fact you two were roommates of two years. these two years have been filled with late nights of him silently in his room palming himself to the thought you and what you would look like on top of him. Without realizing, his hips start brushing up against the cabinets right below the counter. Just out of your sight.

He doesn't even realize you are talking to him until his eyes reach yours and he sees your mouth moving. Snapping out of it he responds "sorry... what did you say?" the smile he receives from you makes his hips move a little more.

"I asked what you are cooking" you said with a smile on your pouty lips. Anton doesn't reply right away, the friction he is getting from the counter momentarily freezing his brain. "uh.. r-ramen" Anton curses himself for stuttering but he can barely think of anything else but the friction and you.

You don't say anything for a moment, just casually looking down at your phone before you reply "oh okay..." Anton makes eye contact once again with you. "are you okay? you look a little flushed." god, how did you notice that!

"Oh no I'm okay, my room has just been really hot recently..." Anton moves his hips a little harder against the counter as he replied to you. The feeling beginning to get overwhelming, feeling himself getting close to his release.

You momentarily turn around, looking at something before you walk towards the couch. You bend to pick up something out of Anton's sight but giving him the perfect view of your shorts riding up displaying the underside of your bottom.

Speeding up his hips, Anton's grip on the counter tightens as he feels the sweet release he seeks getting closer and closer. You turn to see him even more flushed than before but decide against asking again. "Okay, well I am gonna go lay down for the night. Night Anton."

He notices you talking again but can't decipher anything being said, just replying in a hesitant groan. Seeing your figure walking off towards your bedroom door he shifts his hips and grinds faster against the hard material. Finally, he feels the cord starting to snap and quickly bites into his closed fist to keep from releasing a loud groan.

Catching his breath, he realizes one thing... that he is utterly doomed having you as a roommate.

listen to your heart

while working in retail isn’t all that horrible most of the time, you despise it over the holidays. everyone goes crazy as they search for last-minute christmas presents for their loved ones, friends or anyone else.

today was one of those days when everything was so annoying that you really thought about quitting your job right then and there.

luckily, your shift has ended and you are now on your way back home. you seem to be forgetting what a terrible day it has been so far as you imagine yourself curled up in your warm bed while drinking hot choco and watching your comfort movie.

“*y/n*, someone is waiting for you in your room,” your mom says after giving you a big hug when you arrive at home.

you‘re confused as to who it could be, until you recall that your best friend anton texted you saying he‘d drop by later as you were spamming him with messages about that one costumer who was extremely rude to you.

you run up the stairs to your room. you’re not so sure why you’re so eager to see anton, but you can’t help yourself. being with anton after a tiring day makes you feel at ease. he just has that effect on you.

“ohhh, slow down,” anton sits up on your bed. you can tell he made himself feel at home because just a second ago he was laying in your bed as if it was his own. “why are you running? is the rude customer after you?”

since you can’t tell anton that you hurried up to your room because of him, you just throw yourself on your bed. “no, i just really missed my bed. it has been an exhausting day.”

“and here i was hoping that you were running because you couldn’t wait to see me,” anton pouts, leaning back on your bed.

you’re right, you think. but i can’t let you know..

“well, apparently you were missing me because how are you at my house when i’m not even there?”

anton shrugs. “so what if i missed you, is it so wrong to miss your best friend?”

you’re shocked at how casually anton can say things like this. does he truly not realise how much of an impact his words have on you? it irritates you that he's saying these things and acting so dreamy when you're already trying to shake the thought that you like him — much more than you could ever imagine liking someone.

you sigh, laying down on your back. “i just really need to rest.”

“hey, come here,” anton pats next to him. “we can rest together.”

for a second, you’re not sure if you should really go and sit down next to him, because your feelings are all over the place today and you don’t know what could happen, but you push those thoughts aside and just go for it.

“you can lay your head on my lap. i will give you a head massage. i‘m a pro,” anton softly smiles at you.

god, he really isn’t making it easy to not fall in love with him, you sigh. your head is telling you not to do it, but for once in your life, you decide to listen to your heart instead.

you place your head gently on anton‘s lap. you’re afraid you won't be able to resist kissing anton if you open your eyes and see him staring down at you, hence why your eyes are closed.

anton starts massaging your head softly and you’re surprised at how good it actually feels.

“i didn’t expect you to be actually good at this,” you say.

“i told you i‘m a pro,” anton chuckles. hearing him giggle put a smile on your face and usually you would try to hide that, but right now, you’re just letting it happen.

“there it is,” anton whispers softly as he touches your cheek, causing you to open your eyes immediately.

“what?”

“your beautiful smile.”

you start laughing nervously. what’s his deal? why is he being extra sweet today?

“don’t say such things, anton.”

“why not?" his hand returns to your head, but instead of giving it a massage, he plays with your hair, twisting it around with his index finger.

“best friends don’t say that..” what you just said has a sad undertone, but you don’t care. maybe if anton knows that he’s kind of playing with your feelings, he will stop being like that.

anton shakes his head. “no, they don’t.. but here’s the thing, *y/n*..”

the sudden change in the atmosphere makes you nervous so you sit up. still close to anton, but there’s a little distance between the two of you now.

“i‘ve been trying to tell you for the longest time that i don’t want to be just best friends with you,” anton blurts out. “i thought it was obvious that i like you.”

world stop. anton likes me?

“but everytime i try to make a move you put me back in the friendzone, saying things like ‘best friends don’t do that..”

with a sincere expression of sadness that makes your heart hurt, anton glances down at his hands.

“i guess you really don’t like me in that way and i was just stupid to to think that-”

refusing to let anton continue, you take hold of his hand and place it directly over your heart.

“do you feel this?” you whisper.

anton nods unsure.

“my heart beats this fast everytime i‘m with you.”

“is that a good or a bad sign?” anton pulls his hand away and looks questionably at you.

his question makes you laugh. “of course it’s a good sign.. it means that you’re the reason why my heart feels so alive.”

“oh,” anton nods, a little smile forming on his face. “so you do like me.”

now it’s you who’s nodding.

just a while ago you didn’t want anton to know how you really feel about him because you were so afraid that the feeling was one-sided, but now that you know it’s mutual, you’re ready to take the initiative.

you slip closer to anton and sit down on his lap. first he’s surprised at your sudden move, but then you feel his arms around your waist, holding you close to him.

seconds later, your lips meet his. not only was your heart racing faster than before, but because your bodies were so close, you could literally feel anton‘s heart racing as well.

you weren't expecting it, but as anton plastered kisses all over your face and neck, things heated up quickly. you didn't want him to stop, but knowing that your parents could walk into your room at any point made you want to go slowly.

“maybe we should continue this when we are alone, like completely,” you whisper as anton was kissing your neck.

“hmmm,” kiss. “maybe..” kiss. “you‘re..” kiss. “right.”

he stops, looking at you with the biggest smile on his face.

“this big smile looks good on you,” you put your arms around antons neck.

“and you know why i’m smiling like this? it’s because of you,” anton softly whispers before he plants another kiss on your lips.

It was a peaceful afternoon, snuggled up next to Anton. His arm was wrapped around you, draped at your waist, completely relaxed. He scrolled through his phone, attention drifting off of you, though he was aware of your presence. You were drawing little shapes on the skin of his arm— the entire expanse of it available to you since he was wearing a t-shirt. Anton scrolled to the next tiktok on his phone, smiling at one of briize’s funny videos. He liked it and scrolled to the next one.

Everything was quiet and calm.

It was peaceful and relaxing. Just you and Anton.

Until Anton felt a gentle bite to his arm.

His eyes widened slightly and he turned to you, raising an eyebrow, “Did you just… bite me?” He whispered. It was clear that you did since your mouth was still suspiciously close to his arm, but he still asked.

You blinked at him, “Impulse.”

“Why do you have an impulse to bite me?” He asked, scrunching up his nose.

“Cause you’re so munchkin and pretty. I wanna eat you.” You mumbled, sinking back into his side, moving your head to rest on his chest instead of close to his arm.

“Cannibal.” He whispered under his breath, going back to his phone as if nothing had happened.

A couple minutes passed, enough for 15 more tiktoks and 4 kisses placed to Anton’s cheek. Just as he was about to show you a funny video that had come across his feed, he felt it again.

*bite*

“Y/n!” He whined, pulling his arm away from you finally and sitting up. It wasn’t like the bite had hurt or anything— you were very gentle, but your boyfriend wanted to cuddle with you, not have his arm bitten.

“What?” You asked, feigning ignorance as long as you could. Anton frowned.

“Am I yummy?”

“...Yes.” You whispered, biting the inside of your cheek to stop yourself from smiling. Even his reaction was adorable. He sighed and laid back down on the pillow, wrapping his arms around you again.

“You said you were tired. Just sleep. No more biting.” He mumbled, closing his eyes and pulling you to lie on top of him.

“Fine.” You said, frowning in fake hurt at your boyfriend. But he looked so peaceful laying there with his eyes closed that you couldn’t feel petty for too long, and eventually relaxed down to nap with him instead.

is a little oblivious at first- for example: tries to make friends with the guy

then as the conversation drags on and taro realizes this guy is barely acknowledging him,, and is literally only talking to you he gets pretty uncomfortable

you are also getting uncomfortable and shotaro notices so he finds a way to quickly end the conversation (pretending you had somewhere else to be or smth)

he doesn't get too down about if afterwards and definitely doesn't blame you for anything he just tries to make jokes about how attractive you are "people just can't stay away from you! you're like the flower to a bee （⌒▽⌒）”

but honestly, it still irks him a bit. pls make sure to give him at least one kiss and remind him he's ur shining star

he would never admit to being jealous, he tries to tell himself he's just annoyed with the guy or like.. worried for your safety which- um ok wtv

that being said ,, when he does get this way he goes completely cold. hard frown, glaring eyes, clenched jaw etc. etc.

he's very confident in your relationship but something about the highly unrealistic possibility that you could be swayed to leave him ruffles his feathers to say the least

but when he hears you say "yes, this is my boyfriend i was telling you about." his chest puffs up and he’s like jumping for joy inside T_T needs extra kisses too afterwards
