"I personally don't care if someone ships Rise April with the any of the turtles or if she just has a sibling relationship with them. The majority of people say that she's their sister and that's fine, but the way I see it, it feels more like an honorary type of thing (if that makes sense) but people in the fandom are so freaking quick to hate on any April x Turtle ships and call it inc3st when it's really not.

I feel like the ordeal with Apritello in 2012 just completely tainted the thought of April being romantically involved with any of the turtles (I'm talking about 2012 and Rise April since the past Aprils are all adults). Either way, before I go on too long, I just wanna say that it's fine to ship April with the turtles. It's not inc3st or anything like that. Just please for the love of God do not be toxic or problematic about shipping April with the turtles."

Shipping in tmnt fandom is completely based on which univers you have been growing up to for example rise fandom is something like: everyone is gay and if you ship april with turtles you're a sinner

For 2k12 kids : its the first universe which introduced a romantic ship between a human and a turtle before that it was always just in a short glimpse and to tell you the truth it was quite popular and still is so you can find a lot of multishippers in this generation

2003: what? Romance? Which romance (we had casey and april but i cant remember many people interested in it sure they like it and was pretty chill with it too but it wasn't a preference)

Raphril in Rise is so much fun.

Raph is this sweet, sensitive guy who wants to prove himself as leader while keeping his family safe.

April? She is chaos incarnate. She is 95% impulse. She’s funny, a charmer, and he probably needs to calm her down from time to time.

I love this new dynamic. Gotta keep the bae alive and it is very much April needing Raph to hold her back. She dgaf.

"I feel like I’m such an odd one out here, but I love all April x Turtle ships. The turtles and April are my favorite characters. Although my hc for the characters are flexible but they’re all BiAce/Aroflux to me. I just ship for fun, and sometimes I feel like the fandom sees red when they see harmless shipping like this.

Also related confession: I noticed this blog have a ton of Apritello confessions, sometimes I can’t help but feel like its shippers are seeing other April x Turtle (that isn’t Donnie) weirdly sometimes."

what i love about raph is that he’s such a different turtle through each incarnation (even with the core angry character trait)!

my top faves are rottmnt bayverse and 2012

rottmnt: baby boy. baby. as a leader he wants his brothers to better at teamwork (which no leo has ever done correctly) and they way his anger is managed in this cartoon is so subtle and not annoying like other incarnations! like he knows he’s angry but his softness beats the anger.

bayverse: shrek looking baby boy. i lvoe my ugly son. the first movie gave us the fucking leo vs raph plot device but i loved his “redemption” moment wher he has to save his brothers and his “dying” speech.

2012: 2012 is unvalid but he’s the first raph i got attached too! he has the most gay vibes out of all the 2012 turtles and i dream of what his friendship with casey could’ve been had it not been put to the side for whatever the fuck the casey-donnie dynamic was. also concept art raphril is valid.

special shoutout to idw raph bc i dont really read idw anymore but he lvoes his family and friends so much and just wants to live a peaceful life and his relationship with alopex is so cute

I have been into many different fandoms in my life and its kinda feel like living with random people who you haven't ever seen but you feel unexpectedly close to them and sadly tmnt fandom is the opposite of that you cant have a healthy contact with other peaple and its super taxic !!

The fans are always complaining!! When a new series comes out instead of cheering they complain for the smallest thing they can see more than the peaple outside the fandom!! April is black turtles are goofy i dont like the plot extra..... so my question is that if you dislike tmnt that much why are still staying in the fandom? To say hi im a cool complainer?

And the problem is not going to end with just normal fans the shippers and shipping career is a full disaster!!

Antigay shippers complain why usagi and leo would want to date each other they are bros!! You think they're bros not the other peaple you asshole!!

This types of fans are everywhere and try really hard to make you regret your ships and its not only about gay ones sometimes they make randome excuses like april is there sister you're sick if you try to ship her with turtles and that's where i snapped so you think they're siblings?? Who told you that shipping them is incest and out of character??

Leonardo himself or donnie?

Or you probably was in the show and read there mind for whatever interest they might have!! If you dont like a shipp just ignore it dont you have a life out there?

fandom is a place you suppose to take a break and have fun not fighting with every assholes who are hiding there big but in every corner of internet
