The sun hadn’t even made its way above the ground before you feel your bed and the sheets tussle around. Slow and quiet movements stir your peaceful rest as the arms that held you close finally pulled away.

You mumbled incoherent words in protest to the warmth leaving your side only for a groggy voice to hush you in return.

"It's okay my love, just go back to sleep..."

And so you did. Following instructions, your eyes closed once again, but something was different. The comfort the figure provided was gone.

All of a sudden a wave of sadness hit you hard. A frown adorned your face as you rolled out of bed and rubbed your sleepy eyes.

Slowly stumbling into the living room you found your missing piece. Felix was there throwing a coat over his shoulders and making his was to the front door, presumably to grab his shoes then go on his merry way.

"Baby?" Your voice called out, slightly horse from just waking up.

His head shot in your direction suddenly before his eyes softened along with the rest of his body.

"Where are you going?" You asked as you could feel tears start to well in your eyes.

You didn't know why you were getting emotional over something so trivial. You knew your boyfriend was a busy man, but something about not waking up next to him properly made you feel upset. It was always your favorite part of the day, but right now your mind was too foggy to think straight.

"I'm sorry sweetie, work called me in again, something about a special meeting. But I thought I told you to go back to bed?" He said, walking your way, obviously teasing.

"You know that... I can't sleep without you very well." You reminded him as you tried to not stumble over your words.

His arms enveloped you into a tight hug, one hand cradling your head and the other wrapped around your waist. His thumb rubbing small circles into your hip.

"I know, honey. I'm very sorry... but how about this..." He offered before you pulled your head away to look him in the eyes. "I'll take a vacation day this Friday... then I will take you anywhere you want."

You smiled back sadly, "But what if I just want to stay home." You replied, your head finding it's way back between his neck and shoulder.

"Then we'll stay home. We can have a super lazy day surrounded by tons of blankets and pillows. I'll even cook you your favorite foods or bake you some desserts. I know you love whatever I make. How does that sound?"

You nodded before he pressed a kiss to your shoulder, "Come on, let's get you back in bed. You need your beauty sleep, baby."

You mumbled an okay as you let him lead you back to your shared bedroom. Climbing under the covers once again, he helped tuck you in, a tiny smile present on his face.

You let out a deep sigh after he pressed a firm kiss to your forehead.

"Goodnight honey, I promise to be back by this afternoon, hopefully in time for dinner." He said as he gently caressed your cheek, which you nuzzled into more.

"You promise, promise?" You asked, watery eyes looking up at him.

"I even pinky promise," he held out his pinky, "please don't be upset sweetie, I love you so much, I hate seeing you sad."

"Can't you stay a little longer? It will make me happy then." You pleaded after wrapping your pinky around his own, locking in the promise.

Felix went silent, his face unreadable as he thought about how to respond. To add the cherry on top, you stuck out your bottom lip, pouting. You knew he could never resist you. However, he knew as well.

"Fine! But only for 5 minutes, I don't want to be late... again." He agreed with a playful sigh.

Your pout turned into a bright smile as you scooted over a little to make room for your boyfriend. He then threw his coat off to the side.

Once he was laying down, you trapped him in your arms while your face buried into his chest. You held him tight, making it impossible for Felix to leave your grasp again.

"Oh my god, what am I going to do with you?"
