I know it was just a Yokai trying to get Usagi, but I can’t help feel this is perfect commentary on how toxic Mariko is for our dear Ronin.

Also it saddens me that he still considers his birth village “home”. He’s practically banished from it, and it’s Mariko and Kennichi’s fault!

sasuke the demon queller can be really intimidating and always walks around like he’s seeing layers to the world that ordinary folks can only imagine. but he’s also kind of a loser.

Sorry about the inactivity recently. D: My sister was visiting so I spent all my time with her, and now I'm trying to get back into the swing of drawing ;;;

Also, I should be starting commissions next week, so for everyone who's asked about that, yay! In the mean time, I'm going to make sure I can still, you know, draw things.

Second batch of Playlists of Usagi Yojimbo Characters, just to make up for my lack of posting. Hope you like them!

Honestly, if someone has any suggestions. Specially for Kenichi and Sasuke, I'd be very grateful. I did what I could with what I found, tho... You know, it could have been better.

I really don’t know how to put this without sounding like a crazy person. But if Usagi wanted to live forever and keep doing what he does now, I genuinely think he could. In the same way Demon Queller Sasuke keeps the skin he was born with but is definitely no longer mortal, in the same way the Lord of Owls foretells and carries out death sentences but never ages; I really do think Usagi is just a few steps shy of the liminal.

And he’s not even aware of it.
