This is gonna be kinda rambling, but.

Each year our disability progresses more and more, and our need for aid increases with it. As this happens, and every time pride month rolls around, we're viscerally reminded that most queer spaces- mostly pride events tbh- just aren't accessible.

We can't go to parades anymore for many reasons. Sensory needs, we can't walk long distances, we can't be out in the summer heat for long without fainting, etc. And that's not even getting into our agoraphobia, and the general fear of being openly disabled in any public space.

Idk. It just hurts, because we're missing so much community.

Make pride accessible.

On a serious note though, I do not think it is a crazy idea that you should *sometimes* humor your friends and try out their hobbies even if you don't like them. Feign a LITTLE interest in them, step out of your comfort zone a bit, BOND with your friends. If you care about them, then it won't hurt to show a tiny effort every now and then.
