Okay, here's part 2!
I Guess You Could Say We're Inseparable (2)
Dino pov:
I turned to Seungkwan. He had both his hands hovering in front of his face, his chest rising and falling with desperate gasps. “hh'KtChuhHH!’ hh'kTShuhhH!- Hhh…hh'ItChUhhH!- Ugh.” He blinked irritated tears away from his eyes, sniffling before he turned to me. I silently walked up to the speakers to turn on the music. As we danced, I could feel Seungkwan struggling to keep up. He looked so utterly exhausted that I felt bad for making him dance in his sick state. While dancing, I thought about last night again. Fighting with Seungkwan was almost like second nature to me and sometimes we hurt each other while doing it. But right now, not talking to him was definitely hurting me more. And seeing him so sick and tired just made me want to forget everything and hug him. He hurt me, sure, but he deserved comfort too. I was hurting him by ignoring him the entire day too. I was pulled out of my internal monologue by Seungkwan, who had stopped the music. I saw him cup his hands over his nose and mouth and he whined as his eyes fluttered shut, breath hitching desperately. “hh'hTShuHh!- hh'KtChUhhH!- Ugh… Hhh…hh’KtChUhH!-” He sniffled wetly as he let out a sigh. I sighed too, turning towards him. “Seungkwan-ah, are you okay?” He looked at me with watery eyes and I felt my chest tighten. “I'm okay. You don't need to worry about me.” Okay, that actually did break my heart. I walked closer to him. “Kwan-ah, why do you not want me to worry about you?” A tear rolled down Seungkwan's cheek and even though he immediately wiped it off, it didn't get past me. “Because I hurt you yesterday! I said shit I didn't mean and I hurt you! I almost made you cry! And I don't think I can forgive myself for that…” His voice broke at the last sentence and I immediately pulled him into a hug, wrapping my arms tightly around him. I could feel Seungkwan shaking with sobs in my hold while I comforted him. We stood there for who knows how long, Seungkwan's sobs dying out as I caressed his head. When I was sure that Seungkwan was finished, I pulled out of the hug to look at him. As he made eye contact with me, I could see his eyes fill with tears again. “I'm so sorry, Chan-ah! I never should have said anything like that! You're an amazing vocalist and you've improved so much and I've seen you grow and I'm so proud of you and I know I messed up and I'm so sorry! I really didn't mean it, I swear! I'm really sorry, Chan-ah! I'm-” I cut off his desperate rambling by putting my finger to his lips. I saw his eyes widen and I smiled softly. “Shh. I know, Kwan-ah. I know you're sorry. I forgive you, okay? I hurt you too by ignoring you for the entire day today. I'm really sorry too.” As I said that, I could tell that Seungkwan was gearing up to apologize. Again. So instead, I pulled him into another hug.
Seungkwan pov:
Even though I was slightly mad at myself for crying (in Chan's arms for God's sake) even though it was my fault, I'm so glad Chan forgave me. But even after he pulled me into another hug, I still wasn't convinced. “But I hurt you! I said that you weren't skilled enough even though you work so hard. And I'm sorry! I really am sorry.” As soon as I finished saying that, Chan tightened his grip on me. “Listen to me, Boo Seungkwan. I forgive you, okay? Seriously, I know you didn't mean it and I forgive you. And I'm sorry for hurting you too.” I relaxed a little after that and he smiled brightly at me. “I'm still really sorry, okay?” I said and he sighed softly. “Stop apologizing, Seungkwan-ah.”
“But I'm sor-”
“Stop apologizing, Boo Seungkwan.” He looked so determined that I laughed lightly.
“Sorry.” Chan rolled his eyes exasperatedly and I punched his shoulder, albeit lightly. That resulted in him laughing loudly in surprise and oh . I had missed that sound so much. But of course, the moment had to be broken by the irritating tickle at the back of my sinuses. I felt my start to hitch again as my eyes fluttered shut. I turned away from Chan and cupped my hands over my nose and mouth. “hh'KtChuhHH!- Hhh…hhkTShuhHh!- hIH'ItShuHhh!-” I rubbed my wrist against my nose and turned back towards Chan. He looked at me, worry evident in his eyes. “Bless you. You need to rest, Seungkwan-ah.” I nodded immediately, tired out by everything. I internally thanked the universe for the lack of schedules we have for today. And tomorrow. Chan called out to Jeonghan hyung who had been waiting for Joshua; everyone else had left. “Hyung! Seungkwan hyung's sick. Can I take him home to rest?” Jeonghan looked up from his phone.  “Yeah, of course you can. Take care, Kwannie!” I nodded and smiled at him before gathering my stuff and walking with Chan out of the company building. The air outside was insanely cold even though it was only late September. I shivered involuntarily but since Chan's body was pressed against mine, of course he noticed. “Are you cold, hyung? I could drive us home if you don't wanna walk.” I nodded, slightly sheepish but Chan didn’t seem to mind. He decided to drive one of our company cars and I got into its passenger seat. As soon as we got in, Chan turned on the heater and patted my thigh, urging me to sleep. And I would've fallen asleep if we didn't reach the dorm so quickly (courtesy to Chan driving as fast as he could so that I could rest). After we entered the dorm, Chan immediately put a hand to my forehead. “You have a fever, Seungkwan-ah. Is that why you were so out of it today?” He asked and he looked slightly guilty. He felt guilty for ignoring me the entire day, I realized. I smiled at him. “I guess so. Don't worry, I'll be fine.” Chan sighed. “I know that. That doesn't mean I can't be worried about you.” I rolled my eyes, smiling fondly. “Well, if you're that worried about me, make me some kimchi jjigae!” Chan laughed loudly at that. “Okay. You go shower, I'll make you some kimchi jjigae.” “Deal.” I nodded at him before going into my room, getting some clothes and hopping into the shower. The shower did help with the pain all over my body but it also made the tickle in my sinuses grow by tenfold. When I got out of the shower, I saw a bowl of kimchi jjigae waiting for me on the table. I quickly took a seat, Chan following soon after. I ate in silence, too tired to actually say anything but Chan didn’t mind. After I finished, Chan cleared the table and led me into my room. I turned to him before entering. “Do you wanna cuddle with me?” I asked tentatively. Chan laughed, the sound echoing through the apartment. “Of course! Come on, hyung.” We lay next to each other on the bed, Chan's arms around me because of his annoying (read: endearing) habit of hugging things while he slept. Just when I was about to fall asleep, the tickle in my sinuses returned with full force. I tried to move away from Chan so as to not sneeze on him but before I could, he tightened his arms around me. “What is it? Are you gonna sneeze?” I nodded, my breath starting to hitch. Chan felt the bedside table near him and quickly took out a box of tissues. He took a few out and handed them to me. I took them gratefully, sitting up, as my eyes fluttered shut, breath hitching desperately. “hh'HiTkShuhHh!- hh'ItkShuHh!- hh'KtChuhHh!-” I groaned and blew my nose into the tissues before throwing them away and I swear I could hear Chan giggling as he wrapped his arms around me again. “You're gonna get sick.” I said to him and he pouted. "Bless you. And I don't care! We didn't talk the entire day today, the least you can do is let me cuddle you.” I laughed at his cheesiness and he laughed with me, pulling me back into a sleeping position.
Oh well, I guess you could say we were inseparable like that.

You Don't Always Have to Be Strong
It had been a long day to say the least. Chan had been up since 5 am, he went to the gym, then a meeting, then the practice room, skipping lunch he went to another meeting and then back to the practice room.
None of the other members know how busy the maknae had been, it was the groups day off after all. They all had assumed that the maknae had gone out with friends, that was until Mingyu was walking through the building, he had forgotten his sunglasses in the practice room the day prior. When he heard a commotion from the practice room, he was confused, not knowing who could possibly be in there. He knocked but there was no answer so he pushed the door open and saw the maknae stretching on the floor of the practice room, before Mingyu could say anything the maknae ducked towards his shoulder, "ehktchu hh- kktchu hehktchu"
"bless you" the maknae jumped at the sound of the voice. "Hey" the maknae spoke softly, Mingyu picked up on his congested tone and slight rasp. "What are you doing?"
"working" Chan said simply, Mingyu shook his head, you're sick"
"no" the maknae said stubbornly. Mingyu raised his eyebrow in skepticism, "I'm fine" Mingyu went over to Chan and tried to place a hand on the maknae's forehead. Chan tried to move out of the way, but Mingyu's hand firmly on his shoulder prevented it. Mingyu placed the palm of his hand on Chan's forehead, "fever" he said simply, Chan started to protest but ended up getting shut up by his own body when his nose began itching, he quickly turned away from Mingyu, "hh-KtCHu-ehh-KTChhU! Kktchu"
"bless you" Mingyu held his hand out and helped Chan get to his feet, let's get you home. "I'm fine"
"no, you're really not, but that's ok" Mingyu was supporting most of the maknae's weight as they walked out of the building, "you're allowed to be sick, you don't have to be Mr future of kpop all the time. You're allowed to be-"
"hktchu ehh- hhh- ktchu hhktchhu- snf- sorry"
"bless you, no need to apologize, you're allowed to be sick, it's normal." The maknae frowned, he felt upset that his body would betray him like this, he sniffled, Mingyu was grateful that his allergies made him carry tissues everywhere as he handed one to the sniffling maknae. Whether he was sniffling from the sneezes or fighting back tears Mingyu wasn't sure, but he wrapped his arm around the maknae and swept him into a 'bridal carry' and carried the feverish maknae out to his car, the boy seemed embarrassed, but almost grateful, Mingyu placed the maknae in the front seat and handed him a few more tissues, "thank you" he said softly, Mingyu placed a gentle hand on the maknae's forehead, "rest" he said softly, he closed the door and went around to the driver's side, the maknae was already beginning to doze off.
By the time the two got home he was already asleep. Mingyu carried the maknae to his room, getting the maknae situated caused Chan to wake up, "hyung?"
"hey sorry kid, just getting you to bed. But since you're up I'll get you medicine." Chan nodded, he sniffled and took a tissue out of his pocket and blew his nose, which caused him to sneeze a fit of four. "bless you"
"thank you. Sorry"
"once again, no need to apologize" Mingyu said as he left the room, coming back a moment later with a water bottle and two cold and flu pills. The maknae swallowed the medicine down, pulling a grimace on his face at the bitter taste. After he laid down, "can you stay hyung?" The maknae asked softly, clearly embarrassed. Mingyu smiled to himself and he clicked off the light, "of course"

Finally, here's the "running in the rain" fic! Hope you enjoy!
I Would Do It Again For You, Always
Dino pov:
Award show season was without a doubt the hardest time of the year due to multiple reasons. One of them being that we were almost always on tour during them. Another reason is that we had to choreograph a lot of new and distinct performances for all the award show stages as a lot of general kpop fans watch them. Which was why BSS and I were currently locked up in the practice room. Our managers and the company had decided to let BSS perform at the GDAs along with Seventeen and for a special surprise, I had decided to do the rap in Fighting. This had, however, made me have to practice a lot more than the other members since I had to write and practice my rap as well as practice for the concerts we were doing. So now that I was finally done, BSS had decided meet up on a rainy Saturday afternoon to settle on some choreography for the performance. It was safe to say that it hadn't been going so well.
Everyone in Seventeen knew that Soonyoung had a lot of pride in his dancing and choreographing abilities as a main dancer. But it was also old news to everyone that Seungkwan was one of the most stubborn members of Seventeen. This, however, wasn't a good match on an afternoon where we were all tired out by our schedules but still wouldn't let our perfectionism go. Soonyoung hyung walked over to the speaker and paused the song. “Let's go again.” He told us, voice slightly louder than normal so that he could be heard over the rain. The sky outside had turned pitch black. Seungkwan groaned from his spot on the floor. “But we've already gotten this song down! Let's just move on to the other one.” Soonyoung hyung turned to him with a disapproving look. “This has to be perfect, Seungkwan-ah. Let's just do it one more time.” Seungkwan stood up reluctantly but got into his position anyway. When we all took our own positions, Soonyoung hyung turned on the song. After another full run-through of Fighting, Soonyoung went over and paused the song again. I caught his eye and immediately knew that he wasn't satisfied. I'd seen that look in his eyes and mine a lot whenever we practiced together. As Soonyoung turned to Seungkwan and Seokmin again, Seungkwan let out a yell of frustration. “Let's just move on, hyung! We're good at this song already and all of us are getting pretty tired. Could you let go of your perfectionism for today?! Soonyoung hyung stilled at the words and I instantly knew they had rubbed him the wrong way. He looked Seungkwan in the eyes, his gaze sharp. “Boo Seungkwan, if you don't wanna put in the effort you can leave.” Sensing the tension between the two, I turned to Soonyoung hyung to try and talk him down but Seungkwan beat me to it. “Fine! I'll go! You'll probably be able to practice without me, anyway.” And with that he spun on his heel and promptly left the practice room. Seokmin hyung seemed to have realized the severity of the situation as he turned to Soonyoung hyung. “Hyung, why did you say that to him? And for such a petty reason!” Even though Seokmin hyung looked frustrated, he could probably tell that Soonyoung hyung regretted his words so he didn't say anything else. I went over to the window and when I looked out, I was met with an insane amount of rain. I turned to the other two. “Hyung! It's raining like crazy! I'm gonna go and make sure Seungkwan's alright.” Seokmin nodded immediately. “Sure, Channie. Make sure to stay safe yourself and-” I ran out the door as soon as I got his confirmation, not even waiting for him to finish.
As I exited the building, I was drenched almost immediately. Cursing under my breath, I started walking in the vague direction of Seungkwan's apartment. The more I walked, the more I was drenched to the point that my clothes were basically transparent. I had also started shivering, the cold wind making chills run down my spine. I felt so fucking cold but I couldn't just let Seungkwan walk into the rain like that alone especially as it was all a misunderstanding. So even though I felt like my fingers were gonna fall off because of the freezing weather, I kept walking. When I was almost at the apartment complex, I saw Seungkwan standing outside the entryway. Heaving a huge sigh of relief, I called out to him. He turned around in shock, meeting me halfway and pulling me under his umbrella. “Chan-ah?! What're you doing here?! And why don't you have an umbrella?!” I shivered violently again and Seungkwan instinctively wrapped an arm around me, looking worried. “Why did you leave practice? And in the rain, for that matter? You know Soonyoung hyung didn't mean what he said.” I said and he sighed softly. “Yeah. I know that. I was just upset, Chan-ah. I needed to get out of there.” I sighed as well, shivering again. That made Seungkwan look at me in concern. “Let's head inside first, Channie. You need to warm up, you're gonna get sick.” I nodded eagerly, following behind Seungkwan into his apartment. Once inside, I immediately leaned against the door, still feeling chills run down my spine. Crossing my arms tightly around my chest, I felt the water drip down from my body onto the floor as I closed my eyes. I felt a sharp tickling sensation at the back of my sinuses come out of nowhere, feeling the burning urge to sneeze grow as my head ducked to my chest. “hih'ItkShUHh!-" I let out a deep sigh, rubbing at my nose. After the sneeze, it felt like my nose just wouldn't stop running. I saw Seungkwan give me a worried look. “Are you okay, Chan-ah? That didn't sound too good.” He walked closer to me and as he felt my forehead, I let my eyes close, shivering again. He let out a breath before letting his hand drop from my forehead, cupping my face with it. “You feel a little warm. I think you caught a cold from being in the rain for so long.” I groaned, my eyes still closed. “I don't wanna be sick, hyung.” Seungkwan sighed before petting my head a little. “I know, Chan-ah. Let's just dry you up first. You go shower, I'll make you some tea, okay?” I nodded wordlessly. I took out a hoodie and sweatpants from my closet before trudging to the shower. Even though the hot water did nothing to clear my sinuses or get rid of the tickle in my nose, it did make my nose run about ten times more than it already was. Great.
Seungkwan pov:
I was still making Chan's tea when I heard him come out of the shower. I turned around to get a look at him. His eyes were watering like crazy and his nose looked on the verge of being rubbed raw. He was sniffling wetly every few minutes as well. I sighed as he stood next to me, leaning against the counter behind him. We stood there in silence, both of us not saying anything. After a while I looked at him curiously only to find him with his hands cupping his face, breath hitching desperately. “hh'KtCHuhHhh!- hih'AkTShUhhH!-” He groaned after the sneezes, rubbing at his already red nose. I looked at him in surprise. Chan sneezing this much definitely didn't happen often. My attention was drawn back to the present when I heard him gasp, pulling the neck of his hoodie to his face as he turned away from me slightly. “hh'IkTChUhHhh!- hh'GtkShuUhhHh!- hh'hKChuHhh!-” He groaned again as he turned back to me. The sneezes sounded wet and had seemingly zapped his energy, as he slumped against the counter again. But by the way his breath was still hitching, I could tell he was gonna sneeze again. Soon enough, his eyes grew distant and he brought an arm up to his face, his muscles tensing up. “hh'NgtChiiHhH!- hh'HktShuHhh!- hh'AktShUHhhh!-” I giggled at him as he made a sound of frustration almost like a whine. “You really can't stop, can you? Bless you, Channie!” His eyes met mine and even though he was glaring at me, it wasn't very effective due to the irritated tears in his eyes. “Shut up! And thanks.” I laughed loudly at that and he smiled too albeit reluctantly. When I finished making the tea, we went to the living room together. I carefully kept the tea as well as a box of tissues on the coffee table.
When I turned back to Chan, he was gearing up for yet another sneeze. I waited as I saw his eyes fluttering shut, chest rising and falling with desperate breaths as he brought his hands up to cup his face. “hih’AktShUhHhh!- hht’IkTshUhHhh!-” The sneezes were so forceful that they bent him over at the waist, making him stumble slightly. I put a hand on his back to steady him as he geared up for another powerful sneeze. “hhk’KtChuHhh!- hih’KtShuHhh!-” The sneezes made Chan come even closer to me. I ran my hand up and down his back soothingly and I felt his muscles relax. “Bless you, Chan-ah. Aish, that cold does not sound good.” Chan shook his head lightly, wincing right after probably because the movement made his head hurt. “I'll be fine, hyung. It's just a cold.” I sighed but didn't argue with him, knowing he barely had any energy left as is. We both took a seat on the couch and I felt Chan lean on me, still shivering a bit. I knew he wanted to be physically comforted right now so I let him. After a while, I turned my head to look at him. He met my eyes, smiling softly. A smile of gratitude, I noted. “I would have been fine alone, Chan-ah. Why did you even follow me out of the practice room?” Chan laughed, almost as if he found the question stupid. “Of course I followed you, hyung. Did you expect me to leave you alone?” I rolled my eyes. “But you got sick because of that!” I said, my tone whiny. Chan sat up straight at my words and turned to me, a determined look in his eyes. “I would do it again for you, hyung. Always.” I smiled at him as he leaned back onto me. “You're so sappy, Lee Chan!” He laughed loudly at that, hitting my thigh with his hand. “Yah! Shut up! It's your fault I'm sick right now!” I looked at him in mock-betrayal. “You just said you didn't care about that!” He pouted and then burst out laughing and I laughed along with him.
We fell into comfortable silence, only broken by Chan's sniffles. I massaged his thigh as he continued to rest his head on my shoulder. After a while, I nudged Chan. He sat up, looking slightly annoyed at being disturbed. “Shouldn't you drink that by now? I put in the effort to make it.” I nodded towards the tea and I saw comprehension dawn on Chan as he quickly picked up the cup and brought it close to his face. The tea was still piping hot judging from the steam coming off it. Unfortunately, the steam must've set off Chan's already sensitive nose as he handed the cup of tea to me quickly before turning away from me and bringing his wrist to his nose. “hih'AktChuHhh!- hh'NgtChuhHh!- HhH…hh'IktShUhhH!-” Chan turned back to me, sniffling wetly. He smiled sheepishly as he took back his cup of tea. “Sorry. The steam must've set me off.” “Bless you. And you don't have to apologize, Chan-ah. This isn't your fault.” Chan smiled at that as he took a sip of his tea. He finished the tea pretty quickly while I watched him and as he stood up to keep the cup in the kitchen, I got a video call. It was Soonyoung hyung. He wanted to apologize for what happened earlier. I smiled to myself as I picked up the call. Soonyoung's face lit up the screen immediately. “Seungkwan-ah!” He said through the call and I waved. He looked down for a while before meeting my eyes through the screen again. “Seungkwan-ah, I'm really sorry for today. I didn't mean to say what I said and I really didn't mean to kick you out. I'm really sorry, Seungkwannie.” I smiled at him through the screen, visibly seeing him relax. “It's fine, hyung. I understand. You don't have to apologize, I know you're sorry.” Soonyoung hyung nodded and then gave me a curious look. “Also, did you end up meeting Chan? He ran out of the practice room to find you.” I laughed at that. “Yeah I found him, he's right-” I looked past my phone at Chan only to find him leaning against the counter, his arm in front of his face, breath hitching. “hh'HktShUhhH!- hh'HtKChuHhh!-” The sneeze made him bend over at the waist and he grabbed the counter to balance himself. I gave him a worried look. “Bless you!” I said to him and he whispered a thank you to me. “Was that Chan?” Soonyoung hyung called through the phone. I nodded. “Yeah, it's Chan. He got sick while trying to find me in the rain.” Chan joined me back on the couch and leaned over my shoulder to wave at the screen. However, his breath started hitching again and he turned away from the phone quickly. “hih'IkTShUhhHh!-” He sniffled wetly before turning back to the screen. “Oh, I see now. Bless you, Channie! Get well soon!” Soonyoung said through the screen and Chan nodded, thanking him. I waved one more time before hanging up, turning to Chan immediately after. “Are you gonna be alright, Chan-ah? You're really suffering at this point.” Chan laughed at that, leaning against me and resting his head on my shoulder again. “Stop worrying, Seungkwan-ah. I'll be fine. It's just a cold, it'll pass.” I sighed as I shifted a bit to make him more comfortable against me.
We sat there in silence again. I looked at Chan again when he sat up, reaching for the tissues on the coffee table. “Are you gonna sneeze again?” I asked and Chan only nodded, holding the tissues in front of his face, his eyes fluttering shut. “hih'AktShUhHhh!- hih'HktChiihHh!- hh'HktShUhHhh!-” “Bless you!” I said to him in surprise and he thanked me. I could tell he was gonna sneeze again though as his breath hitched again and he turned to the side. I quickly grabbed a few tissues from the coffee table and held them in front of his face, my other hand going to the nape of his neck. I noticed how he relaxed into the touch, his eyes closing as he gasped softly. “hh'ItShUhHh!- hh'HktChiiHhh!- Hhh…hih'AktShUHhh!-” He took the tissues from me before blowing his nose into them, my hand running through his hair from where it was on his nape. Groaning, he put his head on my shoulder again. “Bless you, Chan-ah!” Chan turned his head to look at me with slightly teary eyes, still sniffling wetly. “Thank you, hyung.” I played with his hair while he yawned, tired out by all the sneezing. After a while, I turned to him again. “I still don't get why you did that.” Chan rolled his eyes but there was no heat behind the gesture. “I told you hyung, I will do it again for you. Seriously, okay?” I sighed softly, taking one of his hands and squeezing it tightly as we fell into comfortable silence again. I could tell Chan was slowly falling asleep with the way his breathing was evening out. With our hands still intertwined, I looked at him and even though his eyes were closed, I could tell he was paying attention to me. “I love you, Channie.” I said to him and he smiled. “I love you too, hyung.” He said back, his voice soft and I grinned, getting comfortable as I leaned against Chan too, letting sleep wash over me. And even though I forgot to tell Chan that, I would do it again for him too. Always.

Okay, here's another one of my ao3 fics but it's divided into 2 parts. Here's part one.
I Guess You Could Say We're Inseparable (1)
Seungkwan p.o.v:
You know that feeling when you know a day's gonna go terribly even though you just woke up? Yeah, that was exactly how I felt today. Waking up early like I usually do, I could feel my head ache slightly as I went on with my morning routine. My schedule for today was minimal so I got through it quickly. However, I could feel my headache get worse throughout the day to the point where I could barely keep my eyes open through the pain. The part where I really messed up came after all the members had finished with their personal schedules and were resting in the living room. When I saw Chan walk up to where I was sitting, I internally groaned. I really did not need his energy right now. “Hyung, how'd your day go?” Chan asked as he sat down next to me on the couch, leaning against me. I sighed, “Nothing much, I just had a recording for the guide of a song.” Chan nodded. If he noticed how annoyed I sounded, he didn't say anything. He didn't really speak much after that. But then he turned to me expectantly. “Hyung, could you help me with something? I got an opportunity recently to sing an OST for a drama. Could you give me a few tips? You've sung a lot of OSTs.” Even the thought of giving advice when my head felt like it was on the verge of exploding made me instantly lose my temper. “Chan-ah, I don't think you need advice. They probably picked you because they didn't need a skilled vocalist so improving would kinda be against the point.” As soon as the words left my mouth, I instantly regretted both the words and the ‘matter-of-fact’ tone I said them in. Chan pulled away from me, his eyes looking betrayed and hurt. “What's that supposed to mean? What do you mean, they don't need a ‘skilled’ vocalist?!” His voice rose in volume at the end and he stood up. He wanted to get away from me, I realized. I stood up too, guilt flooding my mind and dread seeping into my bones. “Chan-ah, I-” “No, hyung. You meant what you said, all right? You can't just take it back now. And I thought you'd be happy for me…” Knowing Chan for as long as I did, I didn't miss the slight crack in his voice at the last sentence and I felt my own eyes fill with tears. “Chan-” “I don't want to talk to you, hyung.” Chan said, avoiding my eyes before he stormed into his room, slamming the door behind him. At the sound, Vernon looked up from his phone. He mouthed at me, “What was that?” but I just shook my head.
What a way to end the night.
As I woke up the next day, the events of last night came back to me instantly. I wanted to go to Chan and apologize right away but I knew he was hurt and wouldn't listen to me anyway. I just lay in bed wallowing in self-pity when I realized how awful I felt. My headache from yesterday was still there but now it was accompanied by a tickle at the back of my sinuses along with an extremely dry throat. I sat up, groaning at the pain all over my body. After dragging myself through my morning routine, I walked to the kitchen, desperate for some painkillers. To my dismay, the only person in the kitchen at the time was Chan. He looked up when he heard footsteps but immediately looked back down when he saw it was me. I tried not to be too hurt knowing I was the one who'd hurt him. I took some painkillers with some water and sat down at the table, carefully sitting away from Chan. After my entry, Chan was completely ignoring my presence in the room and even though I told myself it was fine, it really wasn't. It had been a long time since I'd fought with Chan. I definitely forgot how crappy it felt. We sat there in complete silence before Soonyoung walked in. Chan brightened up at the sight of him as the two started talking about our dance practice today. Soonyoung had wished me a good morning before talking to Chan but it hurt when both of them started talking, ignoring me completely. Maybe it was the headache but I felt my eyes burn with oncoming tears which I quickly blinked away. As if he could almost sense my sadness, Soonyoung turned to me. “Seungkwan-ah, do you want to eat breakfast?” I shook my head, not really having much of an appetite. He looked worried but nodded as Chan entered the kitchen, taking out some ingredients from the fridge for their breakfast. Of course, I should've known that it must've been Chan who wanted to know if I would eat because Soonyoung couldn't even cook. I felt even more hurt because he could've just asked me himself instead of making Soonyoung do it. Feeling out of place, I stood up and headed to the company vans, getting into one of them. As I sat there alone, I heard someone approach the van. I looked up but as soon as I saw it was Chan, I looked back down (much like how Chan had done previously). Chan entered the van and sat farthest from me.  As we sat there in uncomfortable silence, I could feel a sharp tickling sensation at the back of my sinuses. I rubbed at my nose trying to keep the tickle at bay but it was useless. As I really didn't want to sneeze, especially not in front of Chan, I pinched my nose shut. It worked for a while but my victory was short-lived. My nose started tickling again immediately after I released it and soon my breath started hitching as well. Turning away from Chan, I cupped my nose and mouth with my hand, breath hitching desperately. “hh'ItShUhH!-” I saw Chan look up from his phone at the sneeze but he remained silent. I took a deep breath before going back to my phone, sniffling wetly.
Dino pov:
You know how much it hurts when your best friend of 10 years doesn't get excited for you when you get an amazing opportunity to try something new and instead says that you only got the opportunity because you weren't that skilled? Well, unfortunately now I do. I had noticed Seungkwan had been a bit tired when I walked up to him to ask him about his day. But I hadn't expected him to say what he said when all I wanted was advice. As his words had nearly pushed me to tears (the reason I hadn't cried was only because I left the room fast enough), it was only fair that I didn't want to talk to him. But as he walked into the kitchen this morning, it had been difficult for me to ignore his presence like that. Especially because he looked even more tired than yesterday and his eyes looked watery. When he left the kitchen, Soonyoung hyung asked me what had happened between us and I just shrugged. Finishing my breakfast, I walked to one of our company vans. I hadn't expected Seungkwan to be there but I felt slightly sorry that he had to sit there all alone. But as the events from last night came back to me, I immediately stopped feeling guilty. We sat there in uncomfortable silence until I heard Seungkwan gasp softly before sneezing wetly. I looked up but not wanting to look at him, looked back down again. Soon all the other members got ready and entered the company vans and we started heading towards the company. Seungkwan had been relatively silent throughout the ride, not speaking even once. At some point, I'd looked at him and he'd been rubbing at his nose with his wrist, breathing through his mouth. As I looked at him now, his nose was very pink and his eyes were definitely more watery than before. I had the sudden dread that I had possibly made him cry when, out of the corner of my eye, I saw him cup both his hands over his nose and mouth, his eyes fluttering shut. “hh'KtChuHh!- hh'IkkSHuhh!- hh’NgChuhH!-” He looked back up, his ears bright red. “God bless you!” Vernon, who was sitting in front of us, said and Seungkwan thanked him. I looked back down at my phone, worry instantly seeping into me. Seungkwan rarely ever sneezed unless he was sick. Him sneezing 3 times in a row could only mean that he was sick. But I still felt hurt by his words yesterday and so I kept my mouth shut.
Today, all of us just had a group dance practice where we would get used to the choreography for our next comeback. We entered the practice studio and our staff set up the speakers. As I began stretching and warming up, I looked at Seungkwan out of the corner of my eye. Usually, he would be stretching while talking to one of the members, trying to lighten up the mood before we start practicing. But today he just stood to the side of the practice room, stretching alone and not talking to anyone. I saw him rub his wrist against his nose and I could swear I saw him stifle a sneeze soon after. I felt my chest tighten. I knew Seungkwan felt guilty about yesterday and he didn't want to draw any more attention to himself by admitting he was sick. I sighed heavily, not taking my eyes off of Seungkwan. Soonyoung hyung joined me as I started going through our old choreography. “Chan-ah, what is going on between you and Seungkwan? Whatever it is, he looks really miserable because of it. And I can tell you miss him too.” He gave me a knowing look and I sighed again. “It's just- I don't know! He really hurt my feelings yesterday and I don't want to forgive him so easily.” Soonyoung put an arm around my shoulders. “You not forgiving him is hurting you more, okay? Just try talking to him, maybe it'll work out.” I nodded but I wasn't really paying attention to his words, too busy keeping an eye on Seungkwan. Soonyoung must've noticed because he smiled at me knowingly before walking off to the front of the room. I took my spot at the center, Seungkwan to my right. Soonyoung was just about to start the music when Seungkwan raised a hand, his eyes half closed. “Hyung, could you wait a second?” He asked, breath hitching. “I…need to-  hh… hiitChuhH!- hh'KtShuhH!- hh'IkTChuHh!-” He sniffled wetly before running his hands over his face. “Okay, I'm good. We can start now, sorry.” Despite myself, I turned to him. “Don't apologize.” Seungkwan looked at me in shock, like he didn't expect me to acknowledge him at all. Not gonna lie, that did kinda hurt. “Bless you, Kwannie.” Joshua hyung said to Seungkwan and Seungkwan thanked him. When we finally started practicing, I immediately noticed how tired Seungkwan looked. His movements had absolutely no energy and he was stumbling constantly too. When I got a look at him, he looked so much worse than before. His eyes were watery and his nose was completely rubbed raw. His lips were chapped too, probably because he was breathing primarily through his mouth by now. After an hour of grueling practice with our choreographers, Soonyoung walked up to the front of the practice room. “Okay guys, I think we've all gotten the choreography down. Some of the members still need to perfect it so Chan and I would be teaching it to you personally.” He turned to Joshua. “Shua hyung still needs to get some movements right so I'll be helping him with that,” He then turned to me and Seungkwan. “Kwannie also needs to perfect the choreography and I want Channie to help him with that. The rest of the members can do whatever they want since we don't have any schedules after this.” There was a loud cheer from the rest of the members while Joshua groaned, equally as loudly. Soonyoung patted him on the back before leading him to one side of the practice room.

This was my first college/university au fic on ao3.
I Hope You Remember That I Love You
“Lee Chan, are you done with your essay now?” Seungkwan's voice called out, sounding mildly annoyed. Chan sighed as he looked past his computer at his roommate leaning against his door and peeling an orange. “I'll be done right about now, I think.” Chan answered but the words sounded like a lie, even to him.
“You've been saying that for the past 2 hours! Just do it tomorrow! Let's eat dinner together! We'll both be too busy for it later!” Seungkwan, being a journalism major, wasn't exactly lying about having no time as both Chan and Seungkwan were gonna have to start preparing for their midterms by September. The thing is, Chan knew that he won't be able to work on his essay tomorrow. Hell, he won't be able to work on anything tomorrow.
“Seungkwan-ah, I won't be able to work on my essay tomorrow. Have you checked the pollen count? It's going up by the minute and it's low enough right now that I can take my antihistamines but it'll be too high tomorrow and taking a higher dose is just gonna leave me too drowsy to do anything.”
Seungkwan pouted from the door and Chan sighed. “Don't give me that look, Seungkwan-ah. I promise, if I'm up to it, we can have dinner tomorrow.” That cheered Seungkwan up a bit and he left Chan alone after a quick goodnight. Chan sighed again, knowing full well that he won't be up to it tomorrow.
When tomorrow came, Chan immediately felt the effects of the pollen count before he even fully woke up. Groaning, he sat up in bed, stretching his tired muscles from working out the day before. Even though Chan went through his routine without his allergies disturbing him too much but he knew that peace wouldn't last too long.
Bracing himself, he walked into the living room where he found Seungkwan, eating some buttered toast, and 2 iced americanos on the table. “How're you feeling?” Seungkwan looked worried, knowing just how bad Chan's allergies were. Chan smiled softly as he took a seat next to him, taking a sip of his coffee. “I'm fine right now. But I can feel the pollen getting to me slowly. And I have like 5 classes today!”
Chan buried his head in his arms and Seungkwan ran his hand through his hair comfortingly. “You'll be fine. I hope.” Chan raised his head to glare at Seungkwan before burying it in his arms again. Seungkwan laughed as he resumed stoking Chan's hair. “No, seriously. You'll be fine. You have Mingyu in marketing and Soonyoung hyung in modern dance, right? They'll make sure you survive.” “Why do I even have allergies?!” Chan whined and Seungkwan smacked his head gently. “The question should be why did you move to Seoul? You know there's like double the amount of flowers here.”
“I didn't know that!”
“Sure you did.”
“I didn't!”
“Then you're just dumb.”
Chan lifted his head and leaned his body against Seungkwan dramatically. “Don't you feel any pity for me?” He asked, pouting.
“Nope.”
Chan laughed at that as he finished his breakfast, helping Seungkwan with the dishes. As they were getting ready to leave, Chan put on a mask, hoping that it would lessen the effects of the pollen. But as they stepped out of their shared apartment, Chan felt the pollen trigger his allergies, his eyes growing watery almost immediately.
He felt a tickle build at the back of his sinuses and he felt his nose start to run as well. He sniffled softly as Seungkwan turned to him. “You okay?” Chan just nodded. As they lived in an apartment close to their campus, they walked to their classes most of the time. But that was proving to be extremely difficult today. Chan felt the tickle grow exponentially at the back of his sinuses and it took a lot of his energy to keep from sneezing, despite his breathing getting more desperate by the second. As Chan pinched his nose to stop the upcoming sneeze, Seungkwan turned to him.
“Just let yourself sneeze, Chan-ah!” He sounded irritated and Chan knew it would be useless to argue with him. Instead he pulled down his mask a little, rubbing at his nose and as the air hit his face, Chan felt himself gasp softly, his eyes fluttering shut as he aimed his head to his shoulder.
“hhkChuHhh!- hh'ItShuhHh!- hh'KShuHhh!-”
Chan blinked the tears out of his eyes, sniffling wetly. “Bless you.” Seungkwan's voice was gentle as he put an arm around Chan, pulling him closer. Chan let himself lean into the embrace, just wanting the day to be over. The walk had made his nose ten times more irritable and he just wanted to sleep, already tired out by his small sneezing fit. As they parted ways to go to their respective classes, Chan rubbed his hand across his face. Today was going to be a long day.
Chan walked into his first class of the day and immediately spotted Mingyu who was sitting near a window. Mingyu looked over at him from his laptop, waving brightly. Chan tried to smile but it came off as more of a grimace. Mingyu looked at him sympathetically as he took a seat next to him. “Allergies, huh? You look terrible.” Mingyu deadpanned and Chan rolled his eyes. “Thanks.” He replied dryly as he went over his notes of the class. “Do you need anything?” Mingyu asked, his voice so sweet that it made Chan smile.
“I'll be fine. Just take notes for me if it gets too bad, okay?” Mingyu nodded at that, determined. Chan laughed softly as the professor walked in. The gust of wind that came from the hallway as the door opened and closed was enough for Chan's breath to start hitching. He turned away from Mingyu as he pinched his nose, silently stifling the sneeze.
Mingyu nudged him, his eyes holding a clear warning, don't stifle your sneezes. Chan looked straight ahead, choosing to deal with the warning later. As the class went on, it was getting increasingly difficult for Chan to hold back his sneezes. At some point, Chan felt the tickle in his nose peak and he turned away from Mingyu again, bringing his arm up to his face as his breath hitched desperately.
“hhkTChuhhH!- hh'NgtChhhH!- Hhh...hh'NgTChuHh!-”
Chan sniffled wetly as his eyes got even more watery than before. Mingyu silently passed him a tissue and Chan, grateful, took it as he blew his nose softly. It did nothing to clear his sinuses but at least the burning urge to sneeze left him for a while. He tried to focus on the class but all he could think about was how much his nose was itching. As he felt the urge to sneeze again, Chan ducked behind his table, leaning against Mingyu slightly, Mingyu's arm wrapping around his shoulders instinctively. He felt his chest rise and fall with desperate breaths as his eyes closed, hands coming up to cup his nose and mouth.
“hhtKChuhhH!- hih'IKChuhHh!- hhKShuhhH!-”
Chan rested his head on the table, the sneezes having drained a lot of his energy, and Mingyu ran his hand up and down Chan's back. Chan felt miserable. He had known that the day would be tiring but he hadn't expected it to be this tiring. And he still had the entire day left for him to survive through. How fun.
When the class finally ended, Mingyu turned to Chan. “Are you sure you'll survive the rest of the day?” Mingyu asked, raising an eyebrow. Chan groaned, rubbing his hands across his face. “I don't know?! I do need the attendance, though.” Mingyu looked sympathetic when Chan looked back up at him. “Just…take care, okay.” Chan smiled at that despite himself. Soon, both of them were walking into their next class together. Reaching the seat farthest from the door, Chan immediately dropped his head on the table. Mingyu chuckled softly as he took the seat next to him. Chan turned to look at Mingyu, his head still resting on the table. “Could you take notes for me? I'm gonna try and fall asleep.”
Mingyu cooed internally at Chan. “Yeah, I'll take the notes. Just try to sleep, Channie. You definitely need it.” Chan nodded as he turned away from Mingyu and closed his eyes. He felt his eyelids grow heavy as he drifted off, the noise of the classroom fading into the background. After what felt like an hour or so, Mingyu shook Chan awake. “Wake up, Chan-ah! You have a modern dance class, don't you? You're gonna be late.” Chan immediately sat up straight, panicking a little as he packed his belongings and the notes Mingyu made leaving the class in a hurry, shouting out a thank you to him before running to the Arts building.
Thankfully, he was only a few minutes late to his modern dance class. Soonyoung had reached the class before him and was already going through some stretches. Chan gave him an apologetic smile as he dropped his bag and started stretching as well. The run across buildings to his class exposed Chan to the insanely high pollen count, making his breath start hitching again but he was determined to at least get through stretching without sneezing. That thought, however, was basically a lost cause. Chan hadn't been stretching for even 2 mins when his breath started hitching as the tickle in his sinuses piqued and he brought an arm up to his face, his head ducking towards his chest.
“hhAkTChuhHh!- hhKtChuHh!- hhkShuHhhH!-”
Chan's vision blurred as allergic tears filled his eyes. He sniffled wetly, rubbing his wrist against his nose as harshly as he could. That did nothing to make his nose stop running, instead making his breath catch as he brought his arm up to his face again, eyes fluttering shut.
“hhhKShuHhh!- hhkTChUhHh!- hhKtShUhhH!-”
Chan groaned as he sniffled again cautiously, standing up to warm up for class. He spotted Soonyoung, out of the corner of his eye, giving him a look. Before the other could say anything, Chan spoke up. “I'm not sick, hyung. I just have really bad pollen allergies. That's what's causing me to sneeze so much.” Soonyoung took in Chan's words before looking at him incredulously. “Shouldn't you be at home? Preferably somewhere with no pollen?” Chan rolled his eyes. “Hyung, I have my classes. I can't just skip class because of my allergies.” Soonyoung raised an eyebrow at him.
“Chan, I don't think I've ever seen you sneeze that much even when you're sick. How're you planning to dance today? Your sneezes sound really tiring and I doubt you're gonna stop anytime soon.” Chan wanted to argue with him but since their professor walked in, he just sighed.
Learning and practising choreography when he couldn't keep his eyes open for long enough without sneezing was a different kind of hell altogether. Chan was starting to regret stepping out of his apartment, his allergies getting worse by the second. He'd hate to admit that Seungkwan, Mingyu and Soonyoung were right but they were. He didn't think he could survive through any more dancing that day.
When their professor told them to split up and practice in different rooms, Soonyoung took Chan by the arm into another practice room and quickly shut the door. He then proceeded to walk up to Chan and pull him into a tight hug, Chan's body practically melting into the older one. Soonyoung stroked Chan's hair softly, a gesture similar to Seungkwan's as he urged Chan to relax. He did, almost leaning his entire body weight onto Soonyoung, his head on his shoulder. Finally, Chan pulled away from the hug, smiling at Soonyoung slightly. “Thank you, hyung. You don't know how much I needed that.” Soonyoung patted Chan's head.
“Believe me, I do. Do you still wanna practice?” Chan rolled his eyes but didn't stop smiling, Soonyoung smiling back at him. The moment was broken when Chan felt the urge to sneeze again. He cupped his hands over his nose and mouth as his chest rose and fell with hitching breaths.
“hhhkCHuHh!- hhKtShUhhH!- Ugh.”
“You should really get some rest, Chan-ah. And by that I mean, go home. Seungkwan's probably home by now.” Chan didn’t ask how the other knew about Seungkwan's schedule or the fact that he had been thinking about Seungkwan, instead deciding to pack up and go home for the day, for real. After saying his goodbyes to the rest of his batch mates, Chan walked back to his apartment, grateful for finally being able to get some rest.
When he walked into the apartment, he found Seungkwan seated at the table with an iced americano and his phone in front of him. He looked up when Chan walked in. “Hey! Didn't your classes end at 7? Why are you back so early?” Chan slumped on the couch in front of Seungkwan. “Soonyoung hyung told me to go home as I was getting pretty exhausted.” Seungkwan sighed heavily. “Didn't you tell me that you were gonna be okay? Though I can't say that I'm surprised. Just go take a shower. I'll order takeout later.”
Chan moved to hug Seungkwan, craving the comfort the older's hugs provided. Seungkwan pretended to be disgusted but he let Chan cling to him for as long as he needed. Chan whispered a thank you to Seungkwan before heading to his room to take a shower. As Chan entered the bathroom, he immediately turned the shower to the highest heat as he stepped in, the heat helping his tense muscles relax a little. He stood there for a while, the steam helping his congestion lighten. That in turn made his nose run and made the tickle at the back of his sinuses return. Chan rubbed a hand over his face and leaned his head on the cool wall next to him. His breath hitched with the oncoming sneeze and his eyes closed, his head ducking to his chest.
“hhhKtShuhhH!- hh'IkkShuHh!- hh'ItkChuhhH!-”
The sneezes made his nose run even more but at least he could freely breathe through his nose now. Chan quickly finished showering after that, throwing on a hoodie and sweatpants as he joined Seungkwan in the living room again. Seungkwan had moved to the couch as he casually flicked through Netflix, picking something to watch while eating. Chan took a seat next to Seungkwan, immediately resting his head on Seungkwan's shoulder. Seungkwan turned on a drama and Chan yawned widely, the exhaustion from the day fully catching up to him. Seungkwan laughed from his side. “You're that tired, huh?” Chan pouted at that. “I took a nap during one of my classes. I guess it's the constant sneezing that tired me out.” Seungkwan giggled at the indignation in Chan's voice as the drama began to play.
They stayed like that till the takeout Seungkwan had ordered arrived at their apartment. As Seungkwan moved to open the door for the delivery man, Chan whined, not wanting the other to go. Seungkwan hit Chan lightly on the head as he pulled away from his grasp and went to open the door. Chan was left alone in front of the TV as he waited for Seungkwan to get back. Seungkwan returned with 2 plates full of fried chicken and he handed one to Chan.
Chan took it gratefully, leaning his head on Seungkwan again when he sat down. They ate together in silence only broken by the soft sniffles from Chan. After they had finished, Chan cuddled close to Seungkwan again, yawning again. Seungkwan pulled out a blanket from under the couch and threw it over both of them. The TV continued to play as Chan and Seungkwan fell into comfortable silence again. That was until Chan's breath started hitching again. His chest rising and falling with desperate gasps, he quickly buried his face in the neck of his hoodie, his eyes fluttering shut.
"hh'NgtChuHh!- hh'ItShuhHh!- hh'NgtChhH!-”
Seungkwan looked over at him, concern written all over his face. “Bless-”
Chan shook his head knowing he wasn't even nearly done sneezing. Soon enough his breath started hitching again, his eyes closing, and he cupped his hands over his nose and mouth.
“hhAkTChuhHh!- hhItShUhhH!- hh'KtShuhHh!- Ugh.”
Chan sniffled wetly, blinking the allergic tears out of his eyes. Seungkwan handed Chan a pack of tissues and Chan took it gratefully, taking some out and blowing his nose. "Bless you, Channie.”
“Thank you. And you know, you don't have to keep blessing me. You're gonna get tired of it soon enough.”
Seungkwan rolled his eyes at that. “As if. I've dealt with your terrible allergies for like 2 years since we started rooming together and I'd like to say that I've gotten used to it. Also, shouldn't you try to get some sleep right about now? You look tired as hell.” Seungkwan sounded annoyed yet fond and Chan laughed at his tone. “You're right. I should get some sleep.” He admitted but instead of going to his own bed, he decided to lean against Seungkwan instead, closing his eyes. Seungkwan let out the most dramatic sound he could muster as he let Chan wrap an arm around him, feeling his own eyes closing. As Chan drifted off, he heard Seungkwan whisper something to him.
“What did you say?” He asked groggily. Seungkwan opened his eyes and lightly kissed Chan's hair. And even though the lights were dimmed, there was no hiding the pink dusting Chan's cheeks. “You know I love you, right? Even when I don't show it? Because I do love you, Chan. I hope you remember that.” Chan stilled, Seungkwan's words catching him by surprise. He definitely hadn't expected that. “Thank you, Seungkwan-ah. And I love you too. I always have. Thank you for always being here for me.” Seungkwan pulled Chan closer to him as they both fell asleep and if Chan thought about Seungkwan's words for the entire night, no one would know any better.

Okay, I'm finally done with my "running in the rain" fic!! Thanks to the anon who gave me the main idea for it!! The fic will be posted sometime soon. I ended up writing for my favourite Seventeen duo and even though I've written for them already, I love them too much to not write about them. 💕

Hello! I love your writing and I'd like to request a Vernon allergy fic, with hiphop unit as caretaker.
Thanks for the compliment! Here it is, I hope you enjoy!
I'd Say It Had Been A Pretty Eventful Day
Vernon pov:
I really should have known better than to even think about writing a song while it's peak allergy season. Guess I just didn't think it through. We had about a month left before our official comeback with the album FML and even though all the group songs had been recorded, all the units still had to record their songs. As far as I knew, the vocal unit had finished their recording and the performance unit would start recording later this week. But of course, we hadn't even written our song.
Jihoon hyung had left the writing and recording to us because we usually went with the flow and how we feel at a given moment but now, with the deadline so close, there was a sense of urgency that I could feel whenever Seungcheol hyung scheduled a hip hop unit songwriting session. So of course, when I checked the pollen count of the day we were going to finish our song, I couldn't help but groan. With my luck, it just makes sense that the day the pollen count is at an all-time high is the day I gotta write a song and record it. And unsurprisingly, I felt the effects of the pollen almost immediately after I woke up. I rubbed my hands over my face, groaning, as I sat up.
I went through my morning routine basically on autopilot and when I walked into the kitchen, I saw Mingyu hyung in the kitchen making breakfast. “Morning, Hansol!” Mingyu called out and I smiled. “Morning, hyung.” I took a seat at the table and rested my head in my hands. Wonwoo hyung joined me at the table. “I checked the pollen count for today. Are you gonna be okay?” I sighed before lifting my head to look at him. “We're only gonna be writing and recording. I'll be fine, hyung. Plus, we don't have a lot of time left and both Jihoon hyung and Coups hyung are getting pretty stressed right about now.” Wonwoo hyung looked like he wanted to say more but for my sake, he kept his mouth shut.
Seungcheol hyung joined us at the table for breakfast soon after. “Guys, let's try to finish up with writing the song and at least get some recording done today, okay?” All 3 of us nodded but I had the underlying feeling of dread. Knowing my allergies, it was wishful thinking to hope that I would get any work done. But maybe I'll push through this time? Right?
Wrong.
As soon as we stepped outside of the dorm, the sunlight hitting me in the face, I immediately felt a buzzing itch in my nose. I rubbed my wrist against my nose, trying to lighten the tickling sensation but that only seemed to elevate it. Accepting defeat, I turned my face directly towards the sun, my breath hitching, bringing up my arm to my face. “hh'ItShuhHh!- hh'hKtChuHh!-'' Mingyu looked back at me. “Bless you.” I thanked him, my ears burning from the attention.
After we entered our company van, I pulled out my phone, scrolling through it as we made our way to the company. Even after the sneezes from earlier, the tickle at the back of my sinuses absolutely refuses to dissipate. After about 5 mins in the van, I felt the tickle grow and I immediately pinched my nose hoping to hold back the sneeze. Unfortunately, that did nothing to relieve me of the tickle instead making my nose even more tickly. I brought my hand up to cup my nose and mouth, my eyes fluttering shut. “hh’AtKShuHh!- hh'IkKShuHh!-” I sighed as I rubbed my nose, which had started to run. I could feel the eyes of all 3 of my hyungs on me but I chose to ignore them, keeping my eyes on my phone instead.
Thankfully, we arrived at the company soon enough. At this point I just wanted this day to end but since we hadn't even started yet, I guess I can't complain. When we reached our recording studio, Mingyu hyung and Wonwoo hyung started to set up the equipment while Seungcheol hyung pulled me aside. “Are you gonna be fine today, Sol?” I sighed at the concern in his voice. I really needed to get through this recording. I smiled at him. “I'll be fine, hyung. Seriously, you don't have to worry.” Seungcheol nodded before joining the other 2 to help with setting up the equipment.
Soon, all 4 of us were sitting across from each other with a notebook in front of us, trying to come up with lyrics. We had come up with the main melody in the last songwriting session and now we had to come up with lyrics to that melody. I had hoped the tickle in my sinuses would eventually go away as I wasn't directly exposed to pollen. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I had the irritating need to sneeze almost every second I was sitting there, coming up with lyrics. Though I hadn’t sneezed even once since I entered the studio, the tickle in my sinuses refused to go away. My eyes were also watering and my nose wouldn't stop running. I could tell the others were also aware of my growing discomfort and I was grateful that they chose to ignore it as I was already embarrassed enough.
We were coming up with lyrics for Mingyu's part and since I had helped with the writing of this song, the members kept asking me for feedback. “Vernon-ah, what do you think about this?” Mingyu asked me, passing me a notebook. Even though I tried really hard to focus on his lyrics, the tickling sensation at the back of my sinuses had finally reached its peak and soon enough, my breath started hitching again and I cupped my hands over my nose and mouth. “hh’KtShuhHh!- hh’HktCHuhHh!- hh’KtChUhHh!- Sorry.” Wonwoo handed me a tissue. “Bless you. And don't be sorry.” I nodded, heat rising up my cheeks from the attention I was getting. I cleared my throat, focusing my attention back to Mingyu's lyrics. “These are good, hyung! But for the ‘I got the fantasy and I got the dream’ I think saying ‘I got the’ in English and ‘fantasy’ in Korean would be more effective. It'll sound better too.” Mingyu nodded, scribbling in his notebook before he looked back up at me. Unfortunately, at the same time, I felt the annoying tickle return and my breath started hitching immediately. I felt my eyes water as I tried to keep them open to look at Mingyu. “Hansol, how about-” “Wait a sec, hyungHh…hh'hTkShuHh!- hh'AktChuhHh!- hh'KtShUhHh!- Ugh.” I took out a few tissues from the box Wonwoo had kept in front of me and blew my nose into them. My eyes still watering, I looked back up at Mingyu. “Sorry, hyung.”
Mingyu (and the other 2 hyungs for that matter) looked concerned. “Bless you, Sol. And it's fine. Are you okay?” I nodded and groaned, my nose tickling again. I felt my breath start to hitch but the sneeze just won't come, no matter how much I rubbed at my nose. Letting out a noise of frustration, I rubbed my knuckles back and forth on the bridge of my nose. That seemed to have finally urged the sneeze to come and I quickly pulled out a tissue from the box and turned away from the others. “Hhh…hh'HkTShuhHh!- hh'TtShUhh!- Hh…hh'ItChUhhH!- Oh my god…” I blew my nose again and then turned back to my hyungs. All 3 of them looked concerned and stern. “Are you sure you're okay, Vernon? You don't sound okay at all.” I looked at Seungcheol, meeting his eyes. “I'm fine, hyung. Plus, we really need to get this done. It's just allergies.” Even though I knew that it would probably be easier to just go home and rest, I didn't wanna quit now. I can pull through this, okay? The rest of the hip hop unit looked like they highly doubted I could pull through though. We continued writing lyrics and after what felt like hours, we finally finished the song. I heard Mingyu cheer loudly and Seungcheol let out a sigh of relief. “Okay, we're done with the song. Vernon, do you want to help us record since you wrote the track?” I nodded, moving over to sit in front of the computer.
Mingyu pov:
I seriously wanted to tell Vernon that he was fooling absolutely no one when he said that he was fine. He had been sneezing on and off for the entire day and right now, he looked absolutely miserable. The more time he spent in the studio, the worse he seemed to get even without direct exposure to pollen. But as he refused to rest, there was little we could do to make him comfortable. Right now, he was seated in front of the computer. He looked like he could barely even see through his watering eyes and I'm sure the bright screen wasn't helping at all. Seungcheol hyung had set up his mic to try and record the first few bars of the song unofficially so that we could pick up from there in our next recording session. Just as he was finishing up with his rap, I could see Vernon gearing up to sneeze again. He turned away from the computer, his arm coming up to his face. “hhTkChuhH!- Hhh…hhKtShuhH!- hh'HkTChuhHh!- Hhh…hhKtChUhhH!-” I could see his eyes shining with allergic tears as he turned back to the computer screen and I watched (in horror) as he accidentally clicked the wrong button and deleted the track.
For a minute, I could see him buffering as he probably didn't even understand what he had just done. And then I saw both Seungcheol hyung and Wonwoo approach him in shock. “Oh my god, Vernon-ah, did you just delete the track?!” Seungcheol sounded angry and Wonwoo just looked utterly shocked. Vernon stared at the screen in surprise. “What?”
“Did you just delete the track?! How could you, after all the effort we put into it?!”
I could tell Seungcheol hyung was on the verge of exploding so I quickly stepped in. “Relax, hyung. Maybe we can fix it?” I turned to the computer screen before taking Vernon's seat and scanning through the computer files. Wonwoo hyung joined me. “Try the recycle bin.” He told me and I scanned the app and immediately found the deleted track. I let out a sigh of relief as I restored it. From the corner of my eye I saw Seungcheol collapse onto a chair, looking lightheaded with relief. I scanned the room for Vernon and I found him with his hands cupping his face, his chest rising and falling with desperate gasps. “hh'AktChuhHh!- hh'HkTShuhHh!- Fuck.”
He looked up as he saw all 3 of us staring at him. “Sorry.” He said after a while, looking sheepish. Seungcheol let out a breath. “It's fine, Hansol-ah. But we're taking you home, okay? You need rest and we're not risking you working and then accidentally deleting our track again.” Hansol nodded, keeping his eyes down. I approached him, patting his back. “Hey. It's fine, Sol. We just want you to rest, that's all. Your allergies look like they could kill you right about now.” Vernon laughed at that and I turned to Seungcheol. “Do you want me to drive him home while you work?” I asked and he nodded. I turned to Vernon and picked up my keys. “C'mon then.”
I entered the company parking lot and entered my car, Vernon behind me. The ride from the company to our dorm was a bit long and I could see Vernon slowly falling asleep next to me. When we reached the dorm, I didn't wake him up immediately wanting to let him rest. Eventually, I patted his thigh. “Come on, Hansol-ah. You could sleep more inside.” He nodded tiredly and we entered the dorm. Upon entering, he immediately made his way to the couch and buried his face in his hands. I was about to offer him some water before he gasped softly, his eyes fluttering shut. “hh'HgTChuhHh!- hh'AktShuhHh!- Hhh…hhKtChUhHh!-” He sniffled wetly before looking up at me with tired eyes. I smiled sympathetically. “Bless you. Do you need some allergy meds?” “Yeah, hyung. Thanks.”
I nodded before taking out some antihistamines and handing them to him. After taking the medicine, I could see him fighting sleep almost immediately. I patted his shoulder. “You should get some, Hansol-ah. Today's sneezing must've tired you out.” He nodded tiredly before making his way to his room. Before he entered, he turned around in the doorway. “Thanks for today, hyung.” I smiled at him. “No problem, Sollie. Sleep well.” He smiled back at me before entering his room and collapsing on the bed. I saw him fall asleep almost immediately and I smiled, making my way out the door. As I was driving back to the company, I recalled all the things that had happened that day. I'd say today had been a pretty eventful workday.

Hi! My name is Ritwika (or Alyssa but I don't go by that anymore). I've always been a snzfic/sickfic enthusiast since I joined the kpop community back in 2021. I've found a lot of amazing writers and ppl through the kpop and carat community from 2021 to now. My favourite writers would have to be: @lovesnzs-blog, @sickiecloud, @babybearsnz, @fics4you and @sneezyminniejo and reading their fics made me decide to start my own sickfic blog! I've been writing on ao3 but since Tumblr is new to me, I hope you go easy on me! That's enough about me, let's get on with my sickfic rules!
My favourite group in the entire world is Seventeen (Bias: Dino but I'm OT13) so the group I'll write the most for is Seventeen. However, I have a lot of ults and I'll list them down in the order of likeliness of writing for them. *Note that I'm most likely to write about my bias.
I'll Write For:
Seventeen (My favourite artist of all time since 2022! They are basically my life at this point! Bias: Dino but I'm OT13)
Boy Next Door (I stanned them since pre-debut, quickly becoming one of my favourite groups! Bias: Taesan but I'm OT6)
(G)I-DLE (My favourite girl group of all time! Bias: Yuqi and Soyeon but I'm OT5)
Kiss Of Life (I've noticed them since their debut and I finally stanned them in 2024! Bias: Belle but I'm OT4)
I Might Write For:
Enhypen (bias: Heeseung)

Le Sserafim (bias: Chaewon and Yunjin)
IVE (bias: Wonyoung)

Ships (both platonic and romantic)
I Will NOT Write:
Emeto

Rape/Non-Con
Major Illness
Major Character Death
Idol x Reader
My Favourite Dramas That I Might Write For:
Twenty-Five Twenty-One
Twinkling Watermelon
Hidden Love
Business Proposal
Weak Hero Class 1
All Of Us Are Dead (though I only liked Cheongsan and Suhyeok so those are the 2 I'll write for)
Current Works:
1. Seungkwan sick + snz (BSS + Youngji caretaker) (request)
2. Jeonghan sick + snz (Joshua + Woozi caretaker) (request)
3. S.Coups sick + snz (95 Line caretaker) (request)
4. Hoshi sick + snz (Dino caretaker) (my work)
Here's my masterlist!
Max requests I'm taking at a time are 10. My requests are open till I get 10 and then they will CLOSE. I'll be slightly slow with my requests but you best believe I will get through them all (the lower a grp/drama/prompt is on my list, the more the unlikeliness of me writing it quickly so pls keep that in mind). My priorities are at the top of my "who I'll write for" list. Thank you!

Just so you can get a taste of my writing, here's my first ao3 fic.
Thanks For Putting Yourself First
No one's p.o.v:
2023 had been both exhilarating and tiring for Seventeen. Even though they had a lot of fun touring the world for the Follow Tour, covering for their missing leader wasn't easy especially since he was the oldest. This pushed a lot of the members, especially Soonyoung to take on the leadership role, leading to him failing to look after himself. Unfortunately, this would lead to a number of problems…
Hoshi p.o.v:
As the Follow Tour of 2023 was especially successful, leading to Seventeen playing stadium tours as well, I was determined to give it my all. It had been a while since we'd been on tour and I didn't want to ruin our streak of amazing performances. Even though we didn't have our leader next to us, I was dead set on making him proud of us. But I guess the universe just hates me. After our last performance in Osaka, I felt a sharp headache start to build, right behind my eyes. I rubbed at my forehead trying to get rid of it but it was of no use. Sighing, I walked outside the concert hall and into the van that was taking us to our hotel. As soon as I got to my seat, I closed my eyes, sighing again. I felt someone next to me and opened my eyes to see Chan, smiling brightly at me. “You really must be tired, hyung.” He said in a tone that wasn't worried but wasn't very lighthearted either. I shrugged as I said, “It's just the back to back concerts finally getting to me. I'll be fine.” Chan smiled again but I could see his eyes trying to figure me out. I turned away from him and closed my eyes. After a while, I felt Chan's hand guide my head to his shoulder. “You can sleep, hyung. We have another 2 hours to go in this van.”
“Thanks, Chan-ah.” I smiled at him as I felt myself drifting off.
After what felt like a few minutes at max, I was being shaken awake again. “Hyung, we're here. I think you should shower quickly and go to bed. You seem pretty tired.” I nodded at that and as we walked out of the van, I felt Chan's arm around me. As soon as I got to my room, I jumped into the shower. The water was hot, borderline scalding, but it soothed my muscles which I didn't even know were aching and eased my headache a bit. However, with the steam came a very irritating tickle in the back of my sinuses that wouldn't go away no matter what I did. I scrubbed at my nose but felt no relief from the tickle. Sighing deeply again, I put on a comfortable outfit and ordered some food. Maybe a good, hot meal was all I needed. As I waited for my food, I scrolled on my phone. While on WeVerse, I saw that Chan had started a live. As my food arrived, I quickly ate it, wanting to join the live with Chan. I finished fast enough and walked over to Chan's room. I knocked on the door and Chan opened it, looking delighted. “Hyung! Are you here to join my live?” He asked, excitedly and as I nodded, he pulled me into his room. I said hello to the Carats present in the live and took a seat beside Chan.
We started talking about random topics that came to our minds when there was another knock on the door and soon, Mingyu was joining us as well. As we were talking, I could feel the tickle in my sinuses grow by the second. It didn't help that Mingyu liked showering with a lot of strong smelling products. I soon felt the need to rub at my nose every few minutes to keep the tickle at bay. This worked for a while. Until it didn't. Mingyu was showing us something on his phone and as I leaned to see what it was, the strong smell of his shampoo made my breath catch. I turned away from the two of them, my breath hitching desperately as my eyes fluttered shut.
“Hhh…hiitChuhH!- hhkChuhHh!- hhiKchuhH!-” Chan turned to me, his eyes searching my face. “Bless you, hyung.” He said lightly but I didn't miss his gaze on me throughout the rest of the live. I felt my urge to sneeze grow every second I was there but I was determined to not let anyone pick up on the signs of my very obvious cold. When we finally said our byes to Carats and Chan turned off the live, he turned to me. “Are you okay, hyung? You're not getting sick are you?” I could feel the tickle reach its peak and I sighed, knowing this would be a long conversation.
Dino p.o.v:
I had started getting worried about Soonyoung ever since he had fallen asleep on the van ride to the hotel after our Osaka concert. Soonyoung wasn't the kind of person to tire so easily and the adrenaline from the concert made him even more loud and lively than he already was. I also noticed him shivering slightly as he leaned on me while sleeping. I chose not to mention it to him though, knowing he'll get defensive. So when he sneezed during the live, I was almost 90% sure that he was getting sick or was sick. When I finally asked him about it, he didn't reply right away. Instead his eyes grew distant as he stared at the ceiling lights. I could see his eyes fluttering shut as he gasped softly, immediately cupping his nose and mouth with his hands.
“hhKkChuhHh!- hh'hKChuhHh!- Hhhh…..hiihCHuhhh!-”
I glared at Soonyoung as I saw Mingyu pat his shoulder lightly. Soonyoung blinked a few times before turning towards me. “Hyung, are you getting sick?” I asked, fully aware of the sharpness in my tone because I needed my hyung to be honest with me. Soonyoung shook his head and I mentally groaned. “I think Mingyu's shower products were getting to me. You know they're pretty strong.” Mingyu looked sheepish at that. “I'm sorry.” He mumbled softly and I felt my heart go out to him. Sure, his products were what might have set Soonyoung off but it wasn't the sole reason. I looked at Soonyoung and he looked back, matching my gaze. I sighed softly. “I'll take it for now, hyung. But you should really get some sleep.” I was glad that he didn't make any argument to that as both he and Mingyu left my room, leaving me to my thoughts. Knowing Soonyoung, he wasn't going to rest till he reached his peak and I knew I had to stop him before that happened. But that was proving to be a lot more difficult than I thought.
The next morning, I was determined to keep an eye on Soonyoung. I had refrained from telling the rest of the members about him getting sick as I knew he wouldn’t appreciate it. So, I knew I had to watch him carefully, making sure he doesn't push himself past his limits. As we went down for breakfast one by one, I saw Soonyoung sitting at our regular table. I took a seat next to him, taking in his appearance. He looked tired, his eyes watery and slightly red and his nose rubbed raw. His lips were also chapped probably due to him breathing through his mouth. I felt the increasing urge to sigh but pushed it down.
“Did you sleep well, hyung?” I asked instead but I knew almost immediately that I wouldn't get a true answer.
“Yeah, I slept fine.” Says the man who looks like he'll fall dead asleep while standing, I thought.
This time I did sigh out loud but Soonyoung wouldn't have heard it anyway as I saw him turning away from me and lifting his arm to his face, a tell-tale sign that he was going to sneeze. I heard him gasp desperately, his eyes closing.
“hhiKChuhHh!- hhhkTtSHuhh!- hhKChhhuh!-”
He sniffled wetly, rubbing at his nose as he turned back to me, the tips of his ears bright red. Turning to face him, I said gently, “Bless you, Soonyoung hyung. Are you sure you're okay?” When he looked me in the eyes, I could tell that my constant inquiries about his health were starting to irritate him.
“I'm fine, Chan-ah. Could we stop talking about that?” At that, I felt my patience ebbing away.
“Hyung, I'm like 99% sure you're sick so why won't you just admit it?! You're keeping up this ‘I'm perfectly fine’ act but why?! You're pushing your limit way too much and you expect me to sit by and watch while you run yourself over the edge?! You're always lecturing us about our limits but guess who's the hypocrite now!” I stood up from the table to walk away and was immediately stopped by someone putting a hand on my shoulder and pulling me towards them. I realised it was Jihoon a second too late.
“What happened back there, Chan-ah?” Jihoon looked patient yet curious and I was grateful that he wasn't mad at me.
“Soonyoung hyung's sick. And he refuses to rest. He's been sick since yesterday and he doesn't want anyone to find out and tell him to rest. I kept his secret till today but he can't perform like this! He's pushing his limits!” I took a deep breath to calm myself down as Jihoon scanned Soonyoung’s appearance. He narrowed his eyes.
“You're right, Chan-ah. He looks exhausted. I'm absolutely sure he won't make it through our concert today but he's gonna keep pushing himself anyway. I'm glad you told him what he needed to hear but I have a feeling that isn't gonna be enough.” I looked back at Soonyoung. He had finished his ‘breakfast’ though it could hardly be called that and had walked over to the lounge, ready to check out with the rest of them. I looked back at Jihoon and we exchanged a look. This was gonna be hard.
Hoshi p.o.v:
Even though it was shocking seeing Chan lose his patience with me, I knew it was almost inevitable. I knew I was acting really difficult at the moment but how could I just stop? After all the effort, I can't just quit and disappoint so many people! I was still lost in my own thoughts when I saw Jihoon approach me. At least he doesn't think I'm sick, I thought. He sat down next to me. “Wanna go to our van now? Jeonghan's gonna handle this as he's the only one who speaks conversational Japanese right now.” He gestured to Jeonghan who was already talking with the clerk behind the desk. I nodded and both of us walked together to our van. When I went inside, I immediately spotted Chan, sitting at the last seat as he played with his phone. I wanted to ignore him but a part of me that knew he wasn't wrong at all when he lost his patience with me made me sit next to him. He didn't acknowledge my presence at all at first, waiting for all the members to get inside the van. After the van had started moving, he turned to me.
“Hyung, I'm sorry. For earlier. I shouldn't have been so harsh. I'm sorry.” He looked genuinely sorry and I smiled.
“I'm sorry too Chan-ah. And I'm sorry for hiding my cold from all of you. I wanted to do my best without Seungcheol here but I guess I just worked myself into the ground, huh?” His smile turned a little sad as I said that, probably because he missed Cheol. To be honest, we all did.
It was really hard doing the Say The Names without him, performing without him even though he was supposed to be right next to us. This was a really hard time for all of us, I knew that and so did he. Chan didn’t say anything else for a while and I basked in the silence, listening to the members talking and laughing, laughing along with them. Chan engaged with the conversation too, making all of us laugh on more than one occasion. At some point while laughing, Chan threw an arm around me, leaning into me as he laughed. I smiled softly as well. But alas, all good things had to end. The tickle that had been plaguing me since yesterday decided to peak yet again at precisely the wrong time. Not being able to turn away fully, with Chan's arm still around me, I cupped my nose and mouth as my breathing grew desperate, eyes fluttering shut.
“hhKChuhHh!- hhh'IKhSHuh!- hhhTtShuhHh!- hih'NgChxxh!-”
I managed to half-stifle my last sneeze but I knew, with a sigh, that my sneezes hadn't gone unnoticed. Both Jun and Jeonghan turned to me. Jihoon looked at me with a suspicious look in his eyes, almost like he knew something I didn't.
“Bless you, Soonyoung.” Jun sounded worried as he voiced the blessing. I tried to ignore the worried looks I got from the members but it was proving to be more difficult than I thought. Chan gave me a look. As the members went back to their original conversations, Chan turned to me yet again.
“Hyung, you'll have to tell them! Are you seriously still thinking of performing tonight?! Didn't I tell you to take it easy?!” I knew he was getting worked up again and I put a hand on his knee.
“Calm down, Chan-ah. I'm not going to perform tonight, I know I can't. It's just- it's hard, you know? Throwing away all that effort and disappointing Carats because of a small cold!” Chan took a deep breath. When he spoke to me again, his voice was calm and sweet.
“Hyung, remember the time I got sick on tour? It was during the Ode To You tour. I was so sick yet I refused to rest which made me even more sick leading to me not being able to perform at all. Remember what you told me back then? You said that I wasn't disappointing anyone by resting and I was just making sure I would be able to perform in the next concert. You told me that rest was just a short period of time and that Carats everywhere would want me to rest instead of performing while sick. Well, guess what? I'm telling you the exact same thing today. You're not disappointing anyone by resting, hyung! You're just making sure the rest of the concerts are better, that's all.” I sighed, taking in his words. I turned to face him.
“You're right, Chan-ah. I…I'm sorry for not realising this until now. And…yeah, I'll take a break today. Thank you for that. I really needed it.” I saw his eyes light up instantly.
“Thanks for taking care of yourself, hyung!”
He pulled me into a hug and I hugged him back, feeling his warmth. That was until I felt the need to sneeze again. I immediately pulled away, turning away from him, breath hitching as I brought my arm up to my face for the millionth time that day.
“hhKtChuHhh!- hhkChuhhH!- Hhh…hH!-” My breath hitching desperately, I stared out of the window trying to get myself to sneeze. “Got a sneeze stuck, huh?” Chan asked playfully as he massaged my sinuses with his fingers lightly. The effect was immediately. I pulled away from him again, breath hitching desperately.
“Hhh…htKChuhHhh!- hhTtCHuhhHh!- hh'ItCHuhHhh!- Ugh.”
I took the tissue Chan gave me and blew my nose. As I looked back up again, I saw Jihoon laughing and Jun looked like he was trying hard not to laugh along with him by pouting. Chan was laughing as well.
“Bless you, hyung. Thanks for putting yourself first.”
