Which allows vecna to do this:
Tumblr media
Right? Right………. So then this:
Tumblr media
Leads to this:
Tumblr media
Which leads to:
???????????????? 👀👀👀👀👀
Will has had powers.
#will has powers#no - he had powers. he probably displayed them when he got taken in to the upside down. and vecna wanted those powers. so he took them.#this also opens up to the possibility he could get them back somehow. with el it was through memories of her mom when she was born. love.#when she relived her younger self opening the gate for the first time through the power of love#so Will could get his back through strong feelings of love. just saying.#stranger things predictions#stranger things theories#byler#byler tumblr#so the cool kids can find this 😌#I HAVE ANOTHER THING TO SAY!!! Els powers are strong from negative emotions - hatred. anger. vengeance.#but they’re even more powerful from feelings of love - familial and platonic love (mama. hopper. max. etc)#so if Will did show his powers to vecna (accidentally) when he got taken then those would have been from his most common negative emotion#fear#El is anger. hatred. will is fear. anxiety.#so will will get his powers to their fullest strength only with Love. romantic love. feeling wanted. useful.#familial/friend love was something El needed in her life and she against all odds managed to find it#she got the love she desperately needed and deserved (not romantic like the Melvin’s seem to think)#will has all that in buckets. he has friends who love him. the best mom and brother anyone could wish for. but he feels unworthy of love.#feels like all the bad things that happened to him were deserved. so him receiving and accepting what he desperately needs and deserves#will fully unlock his powers - if he has them.#thank you for coming to my Ted talk

Eddie Munson x reader
Reader has powers (Electrokinesis controls electricity/energies) and reader tells/helps eddie
You were one of the older kids at Hawkins Lab, having a psychic affiliation with electricity (electrokinesis). You could produce lightning at the tips of your fingers and jumpstart machines that were out of power.
But because electricity was so volatile, there’s been incidents where you’d shock the staff by accident and drain too much power from the lights.
Even security cameras footage got scrambled just from you glaring at them.
You soon learned to control your powers after escaping, electrocuting agents who hunted you down.
And for the first time you absorbed natural lightning after getting struck by a bolt during a storm, having the power to fry a Demogorgon to a crisp.
For a while you wandered Hawkins in a disguise, unsure of what the future held for a “living weapon” like yourself.
But you were taken in by a kind family after saving their kid from a demodog (you convinced them it was a rabid wolf) as a show of gratitude. They knew of your electrokinesis but didn’t mind it at all.
In fact, you realized you could use your powers for good, such as keeping appliances and lights on during a thunderstorm. Your adopted family never took advantage of you, only scolding you if your temper accidentally caused a blackout.
You slowly recovered from the horrors of your past, making friends and enrolling in school and doing normal kid things.
Finding a name for yourself was the biggest challenge...as you’ve only ever known one: the number tattooed on your wrist. Though you eventually settled for [y/n]. It just felt right.
Your little sibling also introduced you to fantasy novels and D&D, both of which you found comfort in. You created a character who was “cursed” with lightning and made quite an interesting backstory for them. It helped you cope with all the shit that happened in the lab.
At school, you were naturally drawn to the Hellfire Club after hearing them discuss their campaign at the lunch table. You politely asked if you could join-
“Do my ears deceive me?? A newcomer dares approach us??”
Their leader, Eddie Munson, slides over and lets you have a seat at the table, and you just smile and awkwardly accept the invitation.
You’re surprised that he’s only a year older than you and was rounding up these kids, though you fit in with this little family just fine.
At the meeting, you introduce your character as a metal figure with a microscopic piece of lightning encased in a glass ball they held, making it resemble a plasma ball.
Everyone thought you had the coolest figurine ever. They couldn’t stop staring at it.
And you joined the party and battled Vecna, casting lightning strikes on swarms of evil monsters that blocked your path and impressing the club with your rolls.
After packing up, Eddie remarks how well you played, handing you a Hellfire Club shirt. His energy and kindness really warmed your heart, as you admitted you were just glad to find a place where you belonged.
He does see the tattoo on your wrist and asks what it means.
You sort of..clam up a bit, before dismissing it as your “favorite number.”
"..oh, okay! That’s a uh..cool number.”
Today you realized the “Freak” was not all that freaky.
As time goes by you hang out with the club more, along with Eddie, and all the while you kept your powers in-check so none of them suspected anything.
But you truly did want to tell him. If your family was okay with it, surely he would be, right?
Yet something always happened that stopped you from doing so.
The opportunity arises again....at the most unfortunate time, when Chrissy is murdered and Eddie calls you in a panic, crying and unable to speak clearly.
You weren’t sure why he contacted you of all people, but you meet him in an undisclosed location, where you comfort him as he describes her grisly death.
“Y-You probably think I’m lying..”
“No, I believe you-”
“Don’t bullshit me!! I know you think I’m crazy but I swear..w-whatever happened to her was not normal!”
“..you’re right. It’s not.” Given your experiences with the Upside Down, you immediately knew something there was the cause. So you explained it to him, eventually revealing your powers, too.
In case he didn’t believe you, you jumpstarted a nearby car with your mind and created a ball of electricity between your hands, surprising him.
“So..you were cursed?”
“It felt like it. But now..I see this as a gift. One I can use for good.”
“That’s..pretty badass.” He remarks, before mentioning how Chrissy’s catatonic state reminded him of Vecna’s curse.
Soon Dustin and the others find you two, and you reveal everything to them--knowing Eddie’s innocent and insisting the real threat lied in the UD.
When you all go there, you discover you could absorb the red lightning too. With the endless raging storms you were basically charged-up all the time, using it to fry any demobats that attacked.
You even gave your makeshift weapon a “lightning status effect” that lasted indefinitely so you could save your powers when needed.
It was cool to think you were living a D&D game..but you knew this was very real. And protecting Eddie and the club became your priority.
As he played “Master of Puppets” atop his trailer, you watched out for the bats and zap any you see out of the sky.
It’s truly the most metal thing you’ve ever done. You two put on a hell of a lightning show.
But when he flees from the portal to distract the bat swarm, you start up an abandoned motorcycle to catch up, wondering why the hell he wasn’t choosing to run away now.
You two got overwhelmed quickly, and in desperation you unleashed all of your energy as a massive lightning storm that kills every last bat.
But the overexertion leaves you unconscious, with burns and branchlike lesions covering your arms. Eddie panics and screams for somebody to come help, begging you to stay alive.
In the end, you do recover at the expense of losing your powers for a day or so.
Eventually you reunite with your family, introducing them to Eddie after they tell you they don’t believe he murdered anyone. So he’s allowed to stay in your home until his name could get cleared.
He’s still kicking himself for trying to act like a hero, but you reassure him that he is one.
“How though? I mean..you’re the one with the crazy superpowers who stopped that entire swarm!”
“Heroes come in many forms, Eddie. Superpowered or not. You chose to go back and face that swarm head-on when you could’ve saved yourself. To me..that’s what makes up a real hero. His selflessness and desire to do good despite everything.”
“...awh, that’s so nice.” He tears up a little.

I want to believe that Will was taken bc he was special but then I think it would be way too coincidental if a boy with powers happened to live just a mile away from the lab. So unless we’re given a special reason as to why the Byers were living next to the lab, I prefer managing my expectations and think that Will has abilities only bc he was randomly taken by Vecna and survived. Am I wrong?
I don't think it's too odd. Apparently all the adults in Terry's group who were experimented on were also just locals from Hawkins and the surrounding areas. That is, if we take the books as canon.
If we take a look at the people involved so far:
Henry, MOVED to Hawkins but maybe not a native
Terry, from somewhere in Indiana, but outside of Hawkins technically
Kali, from Europe and kidnapped to Hawkins
Other lab kids, articles describe them being taken from various places around the world, but not specifically Hawkins
El, was born in Indiana, but was it Hawkins?
Will, the only confirmed person actually born in Hawkins
So yeah, I guess it is a coincidence. But I think it's only a coincidence because the government decided to set up their supernatural base of operations in a sleepy no-name town like Hawkins.
The thing is, Will WOULD have been a normal kid... had the lab not been located in Hawkins. He WOULD have been a normal kid... if El didn't set Henry free and later accidentally opened a portal to hell.
It really does all come down to a series of unfortunate coincidences for Will. No one, not even Vecna, could've planned for it to happen this way. I mean, except the writers of the show of course.
But if Will really was taken for a reason and he has powers beyond his sensing abilities, then the truth of the matter is, Will's luck stat is like, negative infinity.
As for Will only having abilities because he was taken, I'm just not sure if that's the case. You have to admit, the manner in which Will was taken is VERY weird, right? Since when did the Demogorgon softly stalk its pray and gently open locked doors? It didn't bust through the house or anything, it took its sweet time to sniff Will out.
Not only that, when he DID get caught, Will didn't have a scratch on him. We've seen how the Demogorgon behaves in S1 and S4. S4 was certainly more aggressive, but even in season 1, it did not treat its prey gently. Barb and that deer met their ends immediately in a gruesome fashion. Not to mention that unnamed scientist from the very beginning. How in the world did Will leave the USD unscathed after getting caught by that thing?
And then we come to season 2, he's been stalked even more. If we compare S3 to S4, Will was treated with kids gloves compared to the other flayed. It didn't seem like the Mind Flayer/Vecna cared at all whether his pawns were killed or captured, as long as they killed the target (El). But Will, it sent an entire army of monsters to retrieve him. Isn't that weird?
And I haven't brought up how Will was sensing and feelings things in S2 before he got possessed by the Mind Flayer/Vecna. If we were to compare his encounter with Vecna to Max, I don't really think Max is gonna come back with anything special, do you?
Ye, so those are my thoughts and ramblings.
