My MD AU shipkids: A slightly more detailed list.

N x V :

Crumbles/Crumbs [formerly Castiel] -

N and V's eldest son. Disassemblers, like Workers, start their lives in the egg-pod state, and eventually "hatch" after a few weeks of external incubation, where they age and grow similarly to humans. Crumbs looks like V, but has the sweet and goofy personality of his father.

Biscuit, their daughter, was born a few months after her brother hatched. Much to Uzi's disapproval, V was already carrying Biscuit's core while she was nesting with Crumbs and waiting for him to hatch. Biscuit is a perfect mesh of both of her parent's appearances, but tends to act more like her mother.

Uzi x Thad:

Basil - Uzi and Thad's oldest son. He looks exactly like Thad and it scares his dad sometimes. Major mama's boy. Despite having half of his coding and personality from Uzi, he's surprisingly calm. While hatching, Basil refused to leave his shell and wouldn't move until Uzi held him.

Soto - Secondborn. There's a two-year age gap between Basil and Soto. Soto, similarly to Basil, looks like Thad [minus the eyes], but has a bit more of his mother's temper. Soto is the only offspring of Uzi and Thad to display leftover traits of the solver [he's got teeny tiny wings.]

Beretta + Sear - The twins were Uzi and Thad's last attempt to have a daughter [who Thad promised Uzi could name after a gun.] Unfortunately for Uzi, Thad and Lizzy both have a higher chance of producing twin cores. Sear was an oops. Beretta is a carbon copy of Uzi, right down to her love of making clueboards. [Thad is scared. He should be.] Sear managed to get a mixture of both of her parent's appearances, but is more shy and quiet than Beretta. Sear is usually attached to Thad's hip, she's a daddy's girl.

Basil, Beretta and Sear all got the purification strand of the solver via Thad.

Doll x Lizzy:

Suriva + Valentina - Twins, the only two children Doll and Lizzy ever wanted. Suriva is mute [she can speak, she just doesnt want to], and communicates with a little roach keybug that she has adopted. Valentina is essentially a clone of Lizzy with Doll's looks, right down to Lizzy's fashion sense. Suriva is the opposite, looking like Lizzy, but being the quiet and reserved sister. Suriva can and will kill you.

Suriva is a solver carrier, passed down by Doll. Valentina was spared and got the purification strand of the solver via Lizzy

Darren x Rebecca x Emily:

Hollyn -

After Sam was killed during the Cabin Fever field trip, Rebecca and Darren added her to their relationship, knowing that she needed someone to love and lean on after losing her partner. The three share a genuine bond, and Darren loves his girlfriends.

With this, Hollyn is a physical mesh of all three of her parents. Since Rebecca's core was damaged by Uzi, she lost the ability to carry a droneling core, meaning Emily carried the three's child. Hollyn is a booknerd, but got Rebecca's sass, and Darren's...well, being darren. She and Valentina meet up on tuesdays to geek out over books they found from the old human library.

Zara x Tessa:

Carmine -

After taking out the cause of the Elliot Family's curse, Carmine was created thanks to the miracle of JcJenson and their science experiments. Zara and Tessa each gave a sample of their DNA, and once a stable egg was created, Zara aggreed to be the one to carry her. She's got Tessa's auburn hair and Zara's freckles, and loves everything about drones just like her parents. Tessa and Zara agreed that her middle name was to be "Louise" as a nod to her grandmother.

Reese: A leftover droneling from an abandoned company project, Reese was set to be disassembled, but was saved by Tessa. He was raised alongside Carmine, and while he knows he's a different species than his sister, they may as well both be human. Reese was given the middle name "James", similarly to his sister, as a respect to his grandfather.

Carmine picked up drone habits from Reese, such as attempting to sleep upside-down on their bunk beds, and Reese had to learn the hard way that he can't constantly eat human food like Carmine [it makes his tummy hurt :(]

J x Sive:

Ren - The eldest and only daughter of the two.

After being reunited with her long-lost girlfriend, J and Sive rekindled their relationship on copper-9, and came together to have a child.

J was the one that carried Ren, and it was the first time anyone had ever seen J be soft and loving.

Ren looks soft and sweet like Sive, but is just as militant and demanding as J. She looks up to both of her mothers, but is usually trailing behind and attached to J's hip. [She wont admit it, but she likes getting approval and snuggles from both of her moms.]

WTTMV Keeper!Poppy, Stitcher!Julie, [Observer!Wally]Theories (also a non WTTMV character, Solver!Frank in part two)part one

so yeah I’m going to talking about theories about Keeper and Stitcher, also will point out things I noticed about either blog. Also just the timeline or what I think when certain events happened. Umm so let’s start with beginning of Keeper’s story I’m probably going out of order with the timeline, not too soon after this XD

This where Keeper’s story started, the first part of the timeline. With her show being cancelled and the unfortunate consequences of that being her friends fading away until it was just her. Something I noticed was that her colours faded too just like her friends did, that one of the things she was referring to; she wondering why only her colours faded away but not the rest of her. Additionally there’s the fact her memories of the neighbourhood and her friends is also fading away. She doesn’t even remember what they look like anymore:(

This is when she became peaceKeeper, when a shooting star fell into her world and expanded it from what used to be. The arrival of the first of ms Keeper’s little ones; Fliante!Sally, the little shooting star was holding to what little life she left. Fortunately she had fallen into the wings of the right bird, who took care of her until she was better. yes I saw opportunity on that one and took it

I wonder how long was Keeper alone in her au; how many years passed before she met Fliante.

Keeper’s au changed a lot from when it got cancelled to when Fliante arrived there and to where we are now. People might had help with decorating the place. This is the first example of Keeper’s memories fading away.

I think this was the event that cause Stitcher to leave Keeper’s domain. Stitcher, Coupier and that thing attack Messenger, Keeper took notice of this situation and left her domain to save Messenger. After this Keeper decided that Stitcher couldn’t stay her realm anymore as she was a danger to everyone who there. Keeper still cares about Stitcher and believes she can change one day.

I think either Stitcher or Messenger lost an arm in this fight, I’m leaning more towards Messenger on this one tho.

Stitcher said that Observer destroyed her world, and was ejected into the out of bounds. The things is Stitcher isn’t a reliable narrator, his pov and how they remembers what happened isn’t something we can completely trust.

So we don’t know what exactly happened there I did send an ask to both Keeper and Stitcher asking how they meet, but if I had to guess how they met. I doubt Stitcher was doing ok after her world was destroyed especially since she lost a leg, Ms.Keeper probably noticed someone was in the out of bounds and wasn’t doing so well; she made the choice to call them to her domain.

He isn’t beating the murder allegations. Observer has a lot of blood on his hands from the looks of it, confirmed by Stitcher and Observer himself. I can’t say much about this part yet still waiting for more lore and asks to be answered.

As we can see she doesn’t like most of WWTMV cast and that she hates Observer. The only people he’s close to is Admin, coupier and Seamster. Despite whatever happened that cause Stitcher to leave Keeper’s domain, Stitcher still has a high level of respect for Ms.Keeper; it’s makes sense since Keeper would have taken care of her while she was her domain, she would had time to get to know her and to build respect for her too. Keeper is really nice, friendly and friendly it makes a lot of sense to me. I’m curious on why and how her and Admin are close, I find that pretty interesting.

This was the first time we saw Stitcher, Keeper tries and wants to help people even if it’s not the best idea too. She still nice to those who have hurt before, Stitcher probably is one of those people who have hurt Keeper but even now Keeper still wants to help her heal and move on from she doing. :(

Stitcher believes what she’s doing is right, that he saving her “friends” by “fixing” them and giving them shelter by putting them in her collection. In reality she turns them into monsters. Also more Observer Slander heh, Stitcher claims that Observer destroyed her “friends” aus which is why she offers them shelter in her collection.

Stitcher doesn’t care about making the multiverse perfect, she just wants a place where she can exist as she is. The whole wanting to fix the multiverse is Seamster’s thing, I think one of the reasons, she helps him with the perfect paradise because he accepts her as she is and actually appreciates everything she put into her work. She finally has a place where she can be herself without any judgement for it.

Thoughts on Uzi x Doll x Cyn?

As a polycule, it definitely would have a different dynamic than just Dollzi on its own. So rn, I'll focus on the polycule, and can go into Dollzi in of itself some other time, especially due to having AU headcanons for those two.

So for this ship, Cyn likes her Disassembly Drones like pets. Precious to her, good companions, but a novelty more than anything. Other hosts for Absolute Solver however? Those are her dear, dear possessions. Beloved drones whom she so eagerly sees as a part of herself.

What could be more intimate and close than literally sharing a consciousness with someone? Their mind rewritten with traces of your own code? A constant presence in their mind, physically unable to be separated.

This would make Nori and Yeva her exes in Cyn's pov, as they were the only ones able to literally eject her from their code via the patch. A harsh and cruel way to break up with someone who simply wanted to provide for them.

But it doesn't matter now, because she has Uzi and Doll, and Cyn will not let them go so easily. She happily keeps them both on a short leash, depriving them of everything, good friends, caring family, and other necessities, so that they are forced to rely on her, and crave her love. Of course, Cyn also wants her beloveds to get along, and with both of them being so isolated and going through similar struggles, it's easy for the two to bond. There was a major bump at the start, as with them both being isolated for such a long time, both Doll and Uzi had severe trust issues, and aggression issues. But after realizing they both were connected with Cyn, things fell into place.

Once their bond became more relaxed, and secured, the two fell fast and hard for each other. Cyn's body still hasn't arrived to Copper9 yet, and couldn't tangibly be there for them outside of using Absolute Solver. So they were extremely touch starved, and desperate for that physical reassurance. Cyn adores her little possessions, and would give them the universe. No one else is allowed to have them or harm them. She won't loose them this time, not like with previous possessions.

She thought it would be fine to let her possessions befriend some of her favorite pets. Now everything is starting to go wrong.

Uzi and Doll are so conflicted. For the longest time, Cyn was all they had. They love her, they owe her everything. But they are so tired. They hadn't noticed all the little ways Cyn has been hurting them, and having the truth all laid out like that by N and V is overwhelming. They know they need to break things off with Cyn, but how does one even do that when she's bound to their code? And if they broke things off, then what? What would happen to them? They have each other, but they both have relied on Cyn for so long. They would need to relearn so many things. Who would they even be without her?

Cyn is deeply hurt. Her dear possessions are trying to leave her again. She won't let that happen. She will keep them as part of her, even if she has to destroy them to do it.

On Hela as a Sister

warnings: childhood trauma, mentions of abuse, mentions of odins gaslighting

these are my favorite hela aus because everything else is inherently angsty and sometimes i just want her happy

there is nothing quiet about helas dedication or her love

she is...so protective. esp since the age gap is so large shes double their age

being a big sister that has had time to reflect on childhood, and then watching more children be raised in the same environment, the instinct is very much to provide those children with support that you needed then

i think there is a special kinship to be recognized between her and loki. literally two seconds ago i read a fic that suggested hela was an outcast as a child

while i don’t think sexuality/queerness is as big of a thing^tm on asgard and that they’re pretty fluid, there’s something to be said about the parallels between Loki’s genderfluidity + sexuality and helas repressed exploration

hela is literally the rough draft and Odin is not far from coming of age himself when he has her, so I imagine she received the worst of his intensity, and as suggested by the same fic I just mentioned, she was made to put a lot of inner exploration on the back burner in favor of becoming daddy’s little weapon

all this is to say that hela is gay and I think that her vulnerability is parallel to Loki’s in a way I can’t describe and that they both need a very similar kind of nurturing

I think Hela would have a bond with Loki that involved making him work through some of his inner turmoil rather than repress it, and I think she would help him channel his magic as a thing that can be nice and not only destructive

now for thor, i won’t ignore that he definitely has experiences all sorts of different attraction to all genders. he channels his emotions much differently though + otherness is really not as central to his main struggles

at his most mature and even at his worst, there is a very direct line between the cause of his stress and the expression of that stress

aka, he’s much less prone to repression, and actually, on the complete other end of the spectrum. I think Thor may have trouble at times identifying where he’s having a problem

it sounds backwards. he talks through things, he identifies problems and works through them. but sometimes problem solvers let problems blow by after resolution without assessing how it’s damaged their armor

think of infinity war. an obviously distressed Thor sees a direct solution to the loss he’s faced. he simply needs to kill thanos and everything will be better right?

hela and thor have similarly explosive emotions, but hela is more loki in the plotting and handling of them

now hela isnt all knowing and as much as I would like her as a big sister to help them through everything, she doesn’t understand all of both of them

but hela is very good at identifying what makes her angry

and she’s exceptional at seeing how people associated with her have been wronged

her core unit of people is a source of pride and extreme dedication and she is very attuned/sensitive to how they are feeling

she has an awareness of the temperaments of people around her in general, but where it may manifest generally as her playing the long game of life, with family it’s different

she’s aware when they’re hurt, when they’re confused or angry, and in her best way i think she would try to help them confront that

speculation of their dynamic is a little stranger for Thor because Loki was..never intended for the throne. it’s simpler and there’s not much destiny conflict

perhaps hela would be queen and Thor could be free, an adventurer

Had they been raised in a way that is healthy, and to be able to identify personal goals separate from the crown, perhaps Thor would have realized he didn’t want to be king much sooner

I see Thor a blond ball of fire, running to the chambers of his big sister to gush about what he’s learned one day

He tells her about how he held fire and brought dried herbs to fresh blooms and how he’s just so ready to conjure lighting

Pulling the final plait loose from her warrior braid, her hair falls loose and she smiles warmly, pulling him up to her bed to sit and begins one of her animated tales that always have a way of entrancing him

She speaks of kings and wielding magic and how rushing to too much too fast has been the end of even the greatest

She hands him a bouquet that’s wilted and asks him to turn it whole, marveling at his successes with animation that swells the pride of his young soul and tells him to keep at his studies

She says she’ll teach him lighting personally when the time comes

anyway

all of them are bound by intense longing, passion, a desire to be appreciated

ultimately, if hela had been raised with more love and attention, there would have been ripple effects of support, she could have been a better example for how to channel their intensities

hela is a big sister sworn to the duty of protection and proper encouragement, but will always have a lot to work through on her own

protectors need protection, and hopefully the day will come where she will sit back and watch how they’ve blossomed, before looking onto her own clearer image of destiny xx

i love jschlatt and i was so excited to god tier him, especially with the role he plays on the smp. his class seemed super obvious to me- he’s all about taking from others to benefit himself, which is thief archetype 101. for aspect, i was torn between heart (emotions) and blood (bonds), but then i read this from the extended zodiac- “those bound to the aspect of blood draw their strength from bonds, from the trust and camaraderie that blooms among a group of people who all share a single vision.” schlatt came to the SMP, found l’manburg and the unity they had, and took it for his own gain.

he is a fuschia blood because i thought it would be really funny if he was like, actual royalty, and for plot-motivated reasons it gives the rest of our ragtag little group a reason to follow him.

QUACKITY / cerulean blooded / the mage of doom one who knows about doom | doom is the aspect of fate, futility, and decay. quackity time! so, this was one of two picks again- mage of doom or page of breath. with some help from @memoryoflife​, i decided on mage of doom because it’s about knowing when things are futile and there’s no point in trying anymore. quackity’s role in the SMP has always been incredibly doom-like, in my mind, despite his upbeat nature and general sense of humor. he’s why l’manburg fell, because he decided to join forces with schlatt. he’s the one who stuck by schlatt despite the fact that he knew things were going badly. he knows doom, and i think there’s a lot of potential for him to have a character arc about using that knowledge for his own benefit, for once. 

i put him as a cerulean blood because i thought him having psychic brain powers would be cool, and i wanted him to be high enough in the hemospectrum for it to make sense with him being <> or <3 with schlatt.

SKEPPY / teal blooded / the bard of space one who invites destruction through space | space is the aspect of literal space, physics, and creation. so, i’m not SUPER familiar with skeppy’s content, but i mostly associate him with two things: chaos and fucking with the game (in the name of chaos). so i figured, fuck it! let’s do the opposite of phil! let’s give this little man the power to break space into little pieces! space is an aspect that interacts with sburb on a level that is unparalleled by any aspect other than time, and bard is a class built around destruction and chaos. while we never see canon bard powers at their fullest, i like to think that in the hands of someone like skeppy, things would get real weird.

he’s a teal blood for... the color association, mostly. not much of an explanation for this one, sorry!

ANTFROST / jade blooded / the knight of life one who serves through life | life is the aspect of healing, resurrection, and life force. so i associate ant with life because of animals both irl and in the smp! he puts so much care into taking care of the zoo on the smp. life players are also described with the following excerpt- “deeply empathetic, they have an intuitive understanding of other's suffering and the best way of righting those wrongs. If you're poisoned, chances are the life-bound have something for what ails ya.” ant seems like an incredibly caring and empathetic person, and the combination of knight and life basically adds up to “problem solver extraordinaire!” which i think really suits him and makes for a good character setup for further exploration.

he is a jade blood because i think he deserves to be able to go outside during the day :)

HBOMB / yellow blooded / the sylph of time one who heals through time | time is the aspect of literal time and time travel. similarly to skeppy and fundy, i wanted hbomb to have one of the more literal aspects. especially after watching his 100% advancement minecraft stream, even for a little bit, the fact that deep down he’s a clever and methodical problem solver really stuck with me. due to plot reasons, he will unfortunately never ascend to his full god tier, but the sense of him being a time player still stuck with me. i assigned him sylph because the idea of someone using a physical game mechanic like time for the sake of healing would be really interesting to explore in canon, and i think in the context of the rest of the trolls, hbomb would certainly have to do a lot of fixing things between his fellow players by manipulating the timeline.

he’s a yellow blood because he’s a nerd and it’s the nerd blood color! also he deserves cool psionics.

KARL / rust blooded / the heir of hope one who is consumed by hope | hope is the aspect of belief, perseverance, and positive emotion. karl jacobs i love you!!!! i really wanted karl’s god tier to encapsulate the absolutely overwhelming sense of positivity i get from karl’s streams, tweets, and videos that he’s in. as part of the mr beast crew, he has such a positive impact, and in smp-related things he’s overwhelmingly positive even when hes’ on the losing side. heir of hope is about embodying hope! i think that this is also his downfall- even when he’s on the losing side, he can be blind to the flaws in the ideologies he follows and blind to the fact that he’s in real trouble.

i picked rust blood for him because i wanted the trolls to have a lowblood, and i think that karl fits it in the sense that he’s very laid back and is more of a follower, which i think would fit for the average lowblood of alternia.

and that’s that! this one was admittedly a lot more influenced by the Plot Machinations that i have going on in my head, but i’m really happy with how things have turned out and am really excited to start introducing trolls into the narrative. next up will be a post about lands and strife specibi for the humans!

Since it's 6 AM and I cant sleep, i'm making a mini cabin fever labs post for the Solver-Bound AU, and giving some insight on how the later chapters of Before The Dawn go!

-Yeva and Nori are sisters, twins, at that. They were built in the lab from the solver's code from the getgo, with the sole purpose of being studied and tested on.

- Nori despises the humans, but since they have control over her and the ones she cares about [yeva and Alice], she begrudgingly plays nice when she has to. That's not to say that she hasn't scared off a few interns. [There's a rumor on the third level of the labs that Nori ate their previous human caretaker.]

-Yeva is terrified of everything. She's the scrawnier sister and constantly gets pushed around by nori [the fact that Nori doesn't like her getting close to the humans plays a big part in this. Nori cares about her but hates how willing she is to trust their captors.]

-Alice was originally a farming drone. She spent her days helping her human family tending to their garden and caring for the family's horses and livestock. She was turned in by the family after the Elliot Manor Massacre and the recall on certain worker drone models that came from the company. Alice was originally meant to be scrapped, but was moved to the copper-9 site as a test subject and outside companion for Nori and Yeva.

The company used the labs to not only study the solver, but attempted to find a cure for it.

For this, they created the remnants, drones that carried an altered version of the solver, deemed the Purifying Solver Strand, and granted the drones born or 'infected' with the strand to temporarily nullify the abilities and side-effects of drones infected with the Absolute Solver.

Alice, Nori and Yeva were the first subjects to create second-generation carriers, along with another drone from the upper levels of the facility, named Isla. After being set up with disassembly drones that the company manufactured after studying the creations of the solver back at the manor (and with Zara's help as one of the new drone designers), each drone created a core [Artemis' personal drone reproduction system is another post for another day, tl;dr for now, two drones combine their code via a codeshare system or by having their exposed cores touch, the mother drone carries the offspring's core inside of their own while their code mixes and grows: once the child's core is ready, it is removed and placed inside of a droneling body], with the code from each "parent" being incubated as normal and handed over to the company to be placed in a droneling body [the human equivalent of a newborn, skipping the natural pod stage of a drone].

Alice created Beau. Nori created Taurus. Yeva created Alexei.

Taurus was removed from Nori's care after it was discovered that Nori's solver code snuffed out the purification solver code of Kovi, the disassembler that her code had been mixed with.

Alexei was an unnecessary casualty, killed by one of the scientists after Yeva had nipped at them for being too rough with little Lex.

Beau, Taurus and Isla's twins; Theta and Felicity- later given the names Thad and Lizzy by the scientists, were the only ones that survived the project. Taurus was transferred from the labs, and nobody is entirely sure where he ended up at.

Yeva, in her grief, continued to push away Tryx, the disassembler that she'd been paired with, and began secretly seeing Dima, a carrier of the Purification Solver that served as an office assistant on Zara's team.

Zara discovered Doll during her evening rounds, having been created when Alice assisted Yeva in sneaking out to meet Dima to get the parts for Doll's little pill body after her core had been incubated long enough, and agreed to help her and Dima keep their daughter hidden from the company, as she was an absolute solver carrier.

Kovi was found in Nori's room, his core destroyed, and his body mangled beyond recognition.

Alice formed a relationship with Denali, Beau's father, and a few years after the [REDACTED] incident concerning Zara, they created another core: another son, a carrier of the purification solver carrier, who they named Myra.

11. Which sibling is most likely to show up drunk in the middle of the night begging to crash on this character’s couch?

Argon. Out of all of the Nolofinweans, Argon is definitely the “party brother.” He often shows up at Fingon’s door in the middle of the night and invites himself in without a word, crashing on the couch and waking up in the morning horribly hungover. However, he is also the youngest and Fingon has a huge soft spot for him, making him completely unable to say no to his brother no matter how annoyed he often is by these frequent intrusions on his privacy. 

12. Which sibling is most likely to go to jail? For what?

Aredhel is most likely here both by virtue of her chaoticness and by the process of elimination. She is a total wild child and is not afraid to break rules and/or laws to live to the fullest extent she can. Aredhel also happens to have a habit of speaking her mind a little too bluntly in front of the wrong people which could definitely prove a problem in certain political situations that are bound to arise in Beleriand, lending creditability to the idea that she is definitely the most likely to get imprisoned. 

13. What is the worst scrape the character has had to pull a sibling out of?

As with Maedhros, I’m going to stick with Valinor “scrapes” here because if we get into Beleriand there’s a whole slew of near-death experiences I could choose from, but in Valinor, I can insert a little humour here as well as one of the numerous headcanons I have. So I already mentioned that Argon is the party brother, which naturally lends itself to many near-death experiences, but at one point he was dared to strip and ask out the first person he saw on the street and being a headstrong teenager there was no way he was going to back down, so Argon goes out into the streets of Tirion completely nude and lo and behold who is the first person he sees? The ambassador from Valmar. It is at this point as Argon as sauntering naked towards a political alliance that Fingon appears on a late-night stroll with Maedhros and saves his brother from certain doom and a very large political scandal, and he is sent home to explain to their parents why he is naked and quite drunk, which might be a near-death experience in itself. 

14. Which sibling is the most jealous of this character?

hmmm... I’m not actually sure on this one because all the Nolofinweans are so different. Out of all of them... I think Aredhel, although they are quite close. Aredhel envies Fingon’s freedom to do what he wants and go where he wishes. As the only daughter, she is held to very strict expectations and often finds them stifling and frustrating when she’d much rather be able to go off and join her brothers on dangerous and exciting adventures with their cousins. She sees Fingon’s freedom and carelessness and realizes that is something that she is never going to be allowed to have and is extremely jealous and for a long time doesn’t understand why she is held to different standards from her brothers. 

15. Which sibling’s house does everyone go to when Things Go Wrong?

Even though the Nolofinweans have their differences when things go wrong they all come together to support each other and to make sure that they all come out alright. When Fingon has a problem, he tends to go to Aredhel who is a major problem solver and helps him to come up with solutions instead of wallowing in his sadness. All three of his younger siblings, however, come to him when something is upsetting them knowing that Fingon’s quiet understanding, love, and optimism will be enough to help them feel better and maybe even to make them laugh with his terrible sense of humour.

this au is essentially rythian playing himself in a dnd game set in star wars, pre clone wars. everyone else is also playing themselves. the last post i did was listing the current cast’s characters and their species, plus a sneak peek into nilesy and rythian’s stats.

below is all my cleaned up and compressed notes on rythian’s timeline, trivia and backstory.

rythian:

honorable mention of this rythian goes here because i rarely return to this au (i blame all the ‘canon’ worldbuilding we’re finally getting on rythian’s species, now decades after the original books were published) and i’m still fond of him.

hold up your thumb and index finger. now put them together so there’s the a gap but they’re not touching. that’s how much less gayer he is than blcast rythian.

long haired; keeps it well maintained with lush products bc he’s kind of vain about it. has it in a french braid that runs down his back. if he ever suggested cutting it, a petition would go around to stop him. he still has the pale/grey stripe running down the middle of his hair.

he still can’t cook. if anything, he’s even worse at it. whether or not he deliberately plays it up is a running joke. it’s a mystery how he survived as zoeya’s padawan. zoeya jokes about watering him whenever others ask. he doesn’t appreciate it.

rythian’s full name is in the archives, and he never uses it. he goes by a much shortened version (thanks to the circumstances by which he arrived at the temple, and zoeya’s help). keep reading for why.

the slightest mention of a holocron (sith or jedi) or lost knowledge is the fastest way to summon him from across a room. he’s one of the best artifact hunters and puzzle solvers.

his main job in the jedi temple is a librarian, and he has a reputation as a strict but helpful master. don’t run any of the texts, and you’ll keep staying on his good side.

he’s actually younger than he looks; he became a master in his late teens, and zoeya had to make a solid case about him taking the exams to become a master that young. it distanced him from a lot of his peers.

now that he’s older, he gives slightly less of a f*ck, and is fairly outspoken as a grey jedi since he sometimes uses fairly questionable means to accomplish his goals (something zylus takes after him in that regard).

lightsaber is purple. he’s never been prouder. he uses the same style as obi-wan, but has a decent grounding in other styles to throw someone off if he ends up in a duel.

his species is exceedingly rare. to give you an idea of how rare, he’s the only chiss residing within the bounds of known, explored space; his species exists in a difficult to navigate, well isolated patch. it also causes him some minor grief whenever he leaves the temple, since most think he’s just a freak, mutant or a hybrid pantoran.

even funnier is that he’s the only jedi of said species, but is not the only force sensitive of his kind (go read timothy zahn’s latest triology, it’s got some good tidbits at last about how his species views and treats their force sensitive individuals). i know there was a canon chiss jedi padawan but the old star wars canon is a mess i’m not touching with a ten foot pole, or else rythian would have died of happiness to meet another one of his species even if neither of them know anything about them.

his arc revolves around gaining acceptance that sometimes things happen even if we don’t want them to, and that not all answers sought out will give happiness, including the truth.

his backstory was that his parents (a happily married trio, consisting of a fleet commander, a governor and a scientist) made the decision to give him away as a baby due to two events: restless political climate nearly resulting in baby rythian’s death from assasination, and his ridiculous force sensitivity, which immediately marks him for a risky career as a hyperspace navigator once he’s old enough to walk and talk. they don’t hold family ties once they start this career, so.

not wanting to risk their child’s life, his parents sneakily flag down a passing jedi ship carrying one jedi master zoeya (who is a sentient, old af tree, known as ‘neti’). she is very surprised that she is now in charge of an unknown alien infant but understands that for reasons unknown, he is now in her care. for who knows how long.

rythian spends his childhood at jedi temple. he matures way faster than the other kids, and excels in his studies. apparently, that’s normal for his kind, but it’s abnormal to others. it’s made even worse because nobody knows what species he is. he befriends a kel dor named will strife, another padawan after strife stops a couple of older teens from hassling rythian.

zoeya officially takes rythian as her padawan. she also secretly gives him an ecrypted disc containing a basic dictionary and guide to chiss language, the only link rythian has to his parents (aside from the hand stitched blanket and baby clothes). rythian never knows zoeya gives him the disc since it’s left on his bed. it’s the only knowledge he never contributes to the jedi temple’s extensive archives.

stuff happens to zoeya; rythian loses her as a master due to her past trauma catching up. he learns that he’s her third padawan (the second being lomadia, who is still alive); her first died hundreds of years ago, and zoeya’s memories keep overlapping so she’s confusing him for them. she leaves the order after her memory’s adjusted so she can start fresh as a civilian. the last thing she says to him before she goes for treatment are a string of numbers, and a single, nonsensical name. rythian is advised that it’s best not to find her or risk a relapse.

will strife voluntarily leaves the order as well due to pressing circumstances; i.e., a fabricated scandal with him and a well known politician (played by lalnable). rythian gradually accepts that everyone he knows and cares for will eventually leave him. he still maintains strife as a contact after strife takes up a career as a traveling merchant.

rythian takes a teen zylus as a padawan and resolves to do better than zoeya, as a mentor and parental figure. he did bring baby zylus to the temple after all. he keeps an eye on zylus as zylus grows up, occasionally nudging zylus to stay focused.

that said, rythian had his nose in a book during the candidate lightsaber matches, thus narrowly missing zylus leaving. zylus dropped by the libaray on his last day at the temple, which was where rythian found him and dragged him of to get him approved as his official padawan.

zylus successfully graduates, and to rythian’s great relief, he stays to work on the archives with him as a fellow holocron hunter and decrypter.

and then the chosen one, nilesy, arrives at the temple in search of how to best temper his newfound force sensitivity. in tow is ravs, a sith. rythian volunteers to be the sith watchdog, and nilesy’s trainer, and it’s not just because this is his golden chance to hit up a sith for secret forbidden lore or anything.

unfortunately, ravs has no interest in helping rythian unlock sith holocrons; he advises that his fellow sith buddy, daltos, might be of help but he has no idea where said buddy is. this greatly annoys rythian (unbeknowst, several months later, zylus has the honor of said first meeting).

ravs constantly hides in rythian’s room from jedi padawan nanosounds, who is eager to test her formidable lightsaber skills on a sith. rythian eventually gets used to ravs randomly chilling in his room.

he and ravs have a thing. zylus is completely oblivious to it, and nilesy pretends that he’s not aware of it.

rythian decides to go on holiday, which immediately sparks suspicion from everyone because everyone has to literally pry rythian from the archives on a daily basis. ravs secretly tails him, and sees rythian about to board a chiss ship.

afraid of losing him forever, ravs butts in, and discovers that rythain is meeting his parents, who also react to ravs like he’s a threat. rythian persuades his parents that ravs means no harm, and gets ravs permission to board as well.

rythian tries to reconcile with his parents’ decision to ‘abandon’ him, and their aloof attitudes after finally reuniting with them as an adult. he has no memories of them, to their disappointment. he eventually discovers in one of his parent’s offices, a hidden compartment containing two photos of him as a child and padawan.

he confronts his parents, and finds out that zoeya met his parents in secret one more time to deliver these photos. reassured that they’d made the right decision, they ask her to pass on a message: if ry’thia’nuruodo wishes to learn of his heritage, meet us at these coordinates on this day. we shall return yearly, without fail, until we are unable to. this was zoeya’s message, which she’d passed onto him, albeit incomplete.

rythian also has to contend with helping ravs make a good first impression; his parents don’t speak basic (or pretend not to, wanting to test if rythian retained his knowledge of his species’ language), and ravs can’t speak their language. they don’t approve of him having a relationship with ravs since he’s an alien and they don’t know what he’s capable of, but eventually concede that ravs will do since nobody else can match their son’s capabilities.

as for the issue of who exactly rythian’s family members are? i don’t know anything about chiss society so this entirely headcanon. their society is very rigid, and is based on doing your job correctly and loyalty to their houses (ie, family branches). all chiss tend to be fairly straight faced, calm and composed and intelligent individuals. rythian is an exception, which is why he doesn’t initially understand why his parents are so cold to him at first, but clues in eventually that they’re exceedingly subtle about their affection and praises (and insults, too).

his biological father is ry’aratalla’nuruodo (aratalla for short), cedef fleet commander. rythian takes after him in sense of humor, looks and height but inherited all his teeth from his other biological parent, sev’adira’csapla. very level headed, accomodating, quiet and grounded; rythian is a little intimidated by him, and assumes his dad has the final say in everything. this is utterly wrong and his dad is whipped by the other two parents.

sev’adira’csapla (vadirac, or adira) is a colony governor and ship provisions officer. nonbinary, goes by they/them. has a mean, petty and haughty personality, can also be called a tsundere. unfortunately, rythian gets his vanity and dramatic flair from them. he doesn’t get along with them, and the two spend a fair amount of time insulting each other (which adira actually enjoys).

radar’isoto’inrokini (isoto for short, a triple wordplay on ‘risotto’, ‘radar’ and ‘isotope’). rythian’s ‘mother’, in a sense. rythain gets his curiosity and love of knowledge from her. she’s like zoeya; full of optimistism, disarmingly charming, frightening when angered and is actually one of the sharpest minds around. she’s a exceptional mixture of physicist, linguist, biologist, geologist and chemist, being the chief scientific officer serving on the same ship as rythian’s dad. she gets along with ravs a little too well, and takes on the giant task of learning basic so she can communicate with him.

rythian leaves with ravs, having learned a great deal about chiss. he’s supposed to be a big secret since his parents spread a rumor that he died from ‘weak constitution’. he and ravs are to keep everything they learned and visited a secret.

rythian, nilesy and zylus learn of a secret mission to assassinate the sith who’ve been more or less friendly towards nilesy: minty, ravs and daltos. minty escapes, but ravs and daltos aren’t so lucky, resulting in nilesy, rythian and zylus interfering. the three let ravs and daltos escape, causing the three jedi’s standing to plummet within the temple. don’t worry, it doesn’t stay that way for long.

right after the above happens, the clone wars occur. rythian doesn’t meet ravs for months; ravs ghosts him. they end up reuniting on a mission much later when ravs frees him from a seperatist jail at the risk of compromising his cover. it’s a very emotional reunion. ravs is in hiding since he suspects a bigger conspiracy, and has been compiling clues and evidence. he and rythian agreed to meet up and share what they know.

rythian assists nilesy in further training his powers. unfortunately, without ravs counterpoint, there is no balance for nilesy. nilesy is confined to the temple since he can’t take part in any of the life threatening missions.

rythian takes ‘tom’ (angor) as his clone officer. tom assists him in piecing together transmissions and intelligence to send off. ravs passes him information every now and then. rythian is a dad to a clone trooper, okay.

order 66 occurs at the climax of the clone wars. the temple is under siege by a traitor jedi and the clones. rythian and any jedi on the scene attempt to escape. rythian almost dies when tom fails a will check to stop himself from shooting rythian due to order 66. nilesy and ravs pool together their resources and wills to save him.

when all hope is lost, nilesy ascends as a ‘chosen one’, bringing a fragile balance to himself since he failed the galaxy. through his connection in the force, he learns that the other chosen one (thanks, skywalker) went off the deep end. nilesy unlocks the secret of mortis, and drags the survivors of temple massacre inside before closing the rift.

rythian recovers, forgives tom, and stays on as nilesy’s teacher, having successfully saved several important texts and holocrons from the archives prior to leaving the temple.

nilesy wishes to join the rebels once he hears news of them.

i got this far before having to stop due to real life circumstances interfering, and felt that this was a safe stopping point as well.

A Masterpost of my Voltron: Legendary Defender Klance fanfics

All of them are available on Archive of Our Own under the username elfenphoenix, same as here, but since not everyone has a regular account, but might want to read them, I’ve decided to make this masterpost! I’m including both complete and incomplete, but I’ll list the completed works first.

Series

Predestination series:

Canon-compliant up until the end of season 2 (not canon-compliant as of season 3), a previous-life AU taking place before and during the Altea-Galra war. The story rotates between the modern day Paladins, mostly from Lance’s point of view, learning about the events of the past, and the relationship of the former Red and Blue Paladins, Marmora and Althos. It explores the origins of the Blade of Marmora, an alternate explanation of the Lions of Voltron, as well as how the Lions think, behave, and bond with their Paladins. 

Major character death. Fluff/angst/comedy/tragedy

Includes Predestination, the main fic, and two one-shots in the same universe: It’s Destiny, After All and A Reflection of the Past.

A Klance childhood friends AU comprised of many Klanceweek 2017 prompts that came together to form a series of short stories. It so turns out that Keith and Lance actually met when they were very little, and have been thinking about each other ever since... they just didn’t know it!

Delivery Boy series:

A pair of Klance "Delivery Boy" AUs, each story having a different one of the pair as the delivery boy. In one, Keith delivers packages to the same house from the same address, almost every day, and ends up falling in love with their recipient. In the other, Lance delivers packages out to a weird shack in the middle of the desert, expecting a crazy old guy, but is pleasantly surprised to see that it's a cute boy instead, and decides that he's going to win over Keith, no matter what, even if aliens get involved.

Includes  Deliver My Heart (in which Keith is the delivery boy), and Special Delivery (in which Lance is the Delivery Boy)

The stories exist in separate universes, but follow the same theme.

Maybe if she can get them all to just tell each other how they feel and get it over with, they’ll leave her alone…

Keith and Lance haven’t talked to each other in years, but an invitation to a garrison class reunion has a lot of old memories coming back, and feelings that they’ve both kept buried all of this time. They weren’t able to tell the truth back then, but this might be their chance to let it out. After this much time, what do they have to lose? 

I’m unsure if I’ll ever get the inspiration to return to this one
