This came to me as I'm making dinner so I'll be quick.

What if we mix deaged Danny and twin/older sibling (either one works) Damian, AND he gets tossed to his sibling in a last minute escape.

Like what if he was fighting Vlad who was doing his whole "denounce your father and join me as my son Daniel!" Thing while in the Zone and knocks Danny into something that's floating in the Zone with the ability to deage or was hit by a new Fenton or Plasmius invention while fighting in town that accidentally deages him.

Danny, who in this was adopted, gets put back to the age of six. The same age he had been found by Jazz in a 'haunted' forest Jack and Maddie were visiting/investigating while also using that time as a family vacation. (They were shocked to see a little boy with a stab wound bleeding out and rushed him to the nearby town, almost completely forgetting about the glowing green tiny puddle they found nearby and bagged most of it as evidence when they heard Jazz's scream of terror over finding the hurt little boy)

The sudden revert into that traumatized age, along with the child response to a fight or flight scenario, and add Danny's deepest need/wish to be protected his child fogged mind wishes to go to the one person who always made him feel safe.

His twin/older brother.

Just as quick as it was with Danny being turned into a child, his ghost powers ripped open a portal and sent Danny to the person he wants to be with...

Only he didn't know that right at that moment his seventeen year old twin/older brother is currently fighting the League with his family's help (his mother was trying to convince him to return to the League and be it's heir) in Nanda Parbat (the very place Damian lost the last/only person he knew loved him without any strings attached.)

So imagine everyone's face when a portal opened up, some muttering its a new pit being formed before them or something, and crawling out of it is a very scared and confused six year old Danny.

Ghost gifts a single tiny ear loop to Soap one day. Says he noticed Soap had pierced ears. That rings keep from handling a gun or a knife properly. He doesn't make eye contact, tries to hide his face, even as he's already wearing his balaclava.

Soap blinks. Ghost has already given him gifts and only behaved that way for the very first one. He doesn't understand. The earring is very simple, but seems to be made of expensive material and not only covered with a thin leaf of gold.

"Didnae it come with another one?" he says, jokingly.

But Ghost flushes, turns his head, and lifts his mask, only enough for Soap to see the glinting of the other earring on his ear. Suddenly he understands that it's not simply a gift. Ghost favoured practicality, but he wanted to give him a ring.

He grabs his hand as it falls back down.

"Simon, what is this?" he asks softly, not daring to be hopeful just yet.

With his other hand, he reaches out to gently turn Simon's head back towards him. His cheeks and his nose are flushed, it makes the warmth of his dark eyes, generally hidden behind a sneer or a bored expression, undeniable.

He looks nervous. Johnny's heart is beating faster. Could it really be...?

"I know", Simon starts then pauses, uncertain. "I know I'm probably not what you thought you'd have, when you were younger" Soap wants to interrupt, to scoff, to protest that Simon is way better than anyone he could have hoped for, but doesn't. He never wants to cut off his love when he's barely starting to open up.

"I know that I'm not easy to be with some days, that I'm not friendly and easy going like you, like someone you'd deserved to be with." he continues, unconsciously pushing his face more into Soap's hand. "But... I love you, more than I thought I could, and I'd like... I'd like to be with you, for as long as you'd have me..."

Johnny's heart is soaring. He has no idea how to react. He'd have to get all the giddiness out first, and the moment doesn't seem appropriate for jumping around and squealing.

"Officially," Simon continues, voice quieter, out of breath. "If you want to."

A gigantic grin splits Johnny's face. All of his limbs are buzzing, he needs to stand up, to run, to explode something. But he's terrified to spook Simon so instead he just squeezes the hand he's holding rhythmically and moves his feet back and forth.

"Baby, are ye asking me tae marry ye?" Johnny says. He's pretty sure his voice is wobbly, but can't really hear it himself as the blood in his ears is louder than the rest.

Simon's eyes do something, what is visible of his face looks like he has an expression on but Johnny can't analyze it now, doesn't dare to see the hope in his eyes, the pleading in his brows.

"I... Yes, I guess I am," the love of his life says finally. "If you want to. You don't have to."

Soap can't keep himself in check any longer. He's making a high pitched noise, jumping up and down where he's seating on the bed, and throws himself at Simon.

"Of course ah fooking want tae!!!"

Simon lets out an excited giggle, swept in Johnny's mood, and tightens his arms around his lover. No, his fiancé.

This is the best day of his life. He just has to deal with this mission tomorrow, and then they can start to plan everything.

Fritz and Spitz are still waiting, playing video games in the Monastery, for Cole to bring their sister out of hiding now that the blood moon is over. Geo is still sitting by the window, watching and waiting for a dragon on the horizon to return his kid safe and sound. Cole took a very unsure Bonzle, assured them all everything would be okay, and they'd be back soon. He promised he'd find a way to protect her.

Don't think about how they'll smile when Cole finally trudges back, happy to know he's okay. Especially don't think about the Finders stopping, looking out over the group, and how Cole can't look them in the eyes when they turn to him and ask; where's Bonzle?

Anyway prohibitedwish dark medieval mystery drama au. The story is interjected every so often by prismo and scarab arguing over what should happen next

#random thoughts #adventure time #over time scarab learns to accept when things dont go his way (especially when prismo has a very good idea) #and prismo gets help working through his depression through the beauty of creating with another person (euphamism for gay sex lol) #hey prismo why do you want to collab with scarab hmm? to create life with another man? pretty gay it does seem #anyway in the beginning they argue because scarab wants stuff to go his way #and prismo keeps bringing up bad ideas and wanting to put jake-esque characters in everything #prismo is. not very creative #anyway their universe ends up following a sheriff and a self-declared wizard in the late-12th century (so around robin hood times) #as the sheriff hunts down a group of bandits #(prismo ends up really liking the bandits and thinking the sheriff sucks balls for hunting them down and scarab's like you just dont get it) #the self-declared wizard is very much a conman hawking snake oil (i do NOT sound like that is. very commonly interjected by prismo) #there is no magic. prismo keeps trying to put magic in there. scarab keeps shutting him down #scarab ends up trying to kill off the wizard for a dramatic moment and prismo gets upset about it #'it's a tragedy! it's supposed to be sad!' 'but WHAT IS THE POINT??? it's just tragedy for the sake of tragedy!' #'if your plan this whole time was to make me upset then congrats!!! you made everyone's friend prismo upset. im gonna do something else now' #prismo disappears and scarab feels. bad. it doesn't feel good. #eventually prismo comes back in to apologize for getting too into the story and leaving in a huff and shit and surprise!!! #the wizard is still alive! scarab LISTENED and he CONCEDED and CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT BABEY!!! #now the ending of the story they were trying to tell is more bittersweet instead of a full-on 'everyone's dead or sad' thing #btw the sheriff and the wizard end up kissing and prismo and scarab are both VERY awkward about it #scarab still likes dark edgy stuff but he recognizes the universe he created with prismo is a SHARED project and he's been kind of a pill

now that i've read the chapter instead of just absorbing it through leaks....gojo's death painted as underwhelming and unsatisfying makes a lot of sense. it was supposed to be that way. he died with regrets just like everyone else. he didn't die all alone, despite what he told megumi. he chased his dream and fell short. throughout the story, he couldn't seem to find the right balance between selfishness and selflessness, which is why he loses himself while fighting (he even admitted this in today's chapter). which is why megumi isn't a priority while he's fighting sukuna. that's kind of why he broke so easily - where he's been trying to strike a balance between those two labels, his opponents have mostly embraced selfishness and become all the more definite in their identities. gojo never gave himself an identity other than being "the strongest", but even he couldn't figure out what that meant - that's part of his tragedy. yeah he's the strongest, but does that mean for himself or for others? what he does know is that for the most part, he can't control what happens to him. so he kind of loses himself in that uncertainty sometimes and goes crazy. ppl sometimes ignore this and turn to the misconception that just because he has noble ideals, gojo must be a hero but he's not. his entire character is tragic and unsatisfied, and his death resembles that as well.
