ok so OBVIOUSLY im starting with tlos and atom!!!!!!!! I LOVE it i was literally crying over alex bailey the other night <3 it means a lot to me because (i know it sounds corny and whatever but) it really helped me when i was alone and i just really saw myself in alex and im really attached to her!!!! god the sacrifices she had to make throughout the series? perfect!!!!!

first she lost her dad, and essentially her mom as well which knocked out two of her best friends!! and one can assume that since her brother was far more popular(? had more people to talk to at least if i am remembering correctly) she felt extremely alone for that year after!! and then she gets sent to the fairytale world? with all her role models and comfort characters? a girl could only dream to have that!! and then when she's there she nearly dies (like all main characters <3) and then she's forced to go back!!! back to a world where she doesn't fit in and has no one! and then she gets to go back!!! of course her mom's in danger after being captured but it still mustve felt good to be back. and then she had to defeat ezmia when all hope had been lost!! all on her own!!! and was willing to sacrifice her life to save the world because it was HER world, all that she had!!!!! and then she had to choose between the two worlds she had. the otherworld, a place where she never fit in, but her mother and brother (the only family she had for the past 2 years) were, or the fairytale world, where she BELONGED and had a role other than conner's quiet, smart sister!!!!!! and then in the next book!! she meets rook. and oh i could go on about rook and alex forever they were so tragic!! she met a boy and for the first time felt fairytale love, what she had read about for years, and it all came crashing down again!!! he betrayed her and even though she understood and undoubtedly wouldve done the same to save her father as well (rook had to give away alex's plans to the grand army to save his village from being fed to a dragon) she just couldnt trust him and had to let go but still loved him as a friend!!!

now im a little rocky on what exactly happens in the last 3 books because i read them all at once and it blurs together in my head but!! oh the scene where she meets her role models. she's being hyped up by the very girls that she spent hours thinking and dreaming about and they were all there for HER so that she could save the ones she loved AGAIN!!! and damn rook sacrificing his life for alex, which momentarily lifts her curse only for her to be 10x more destructive because she lost ANOTHER person?? kiss kiss i love it. and i cant forget arthur of course i love those two together!!! the fact he literally sped up his own story just to be with her was so sweet. anyway back to alex <3 she just does so much and lost so much and sacrificed so much but by the end of the series its all WORTH IT shes done it shes grown old in a home where she BELONGS with her family and she and conner are still as close as ever!!!

as for conner bailey i dont really relate much to him </3 not at the start anyway. when i was younger i was much more like alex, a gifted kid and just staying with my books. but now that im older i can see conner more. he lost his best friend too. and then barely a year after that he's introduced to this crazy world where NOTHING is the same, and he doesnt like it, and he wants to go back but his sister wants to do nothing but stay!!! theyre two sides of a coin as intended yk? i think they were grieving their dad in different ways where conner was trying to move on and alex was looking for their dad in the little things but i dont have much reason to that and it doesnt really relate right now so! and when he finally gets home everything keeps changing. ever since his dad died, everything's become turned on it's head and it won't stop changing.

and here i want to take a break from conner and talk more about the differences between conner and alex because i love alex and will never not think about her but also because theyre so different and yet they work so well together. both of them liked it better when their dad was alive; conner had friends, had a dad to joke with, and alex had her books, had a dad to comfort her. when he died, they both started to become more depressed i guess? less themselves. i mean its literally established because conner is said to have kept falling behind in school while alex pushes herself into it. i like to think it was their own ways of coping where conner wanted everything to just stop for a moment and let him take it in because from how its described everything just happened so damn fast, from their dad dying to the funeral to their mom being gone at work to them having to move and it just keeps changing. alex's way of coping seems to have always been to distract herself or immerse herself into something (e.g., fairytales) so she instead does this with her work because it makes her proud to see that something is changing for the better, even if that meant that her dad really was gone.

and then next thing he knows time keeps moving and fuck! he's lost his sister to the fairytale world forever. she chose there, and he chose the otherworld. and then, yes, she's back! but fuck, now their grandma's dead! and damn they have an evil uncle? and god they have to spend more years of their life stopping it? at least he got a gf and a basically-brother out of it. i think he wrote the fairytaletopia series as a way to cope with losing those years of his life because holy shit those were definitely some important years in a person's development and they were just for fighting, what, 3 entire wars?

tldr alex and conner coped with the loss of their father in different ways that ended up making them take different paths in life but because of the adventures they suffered through together they're still as close as ever

i have a lot of thoughts about this trilogy. first of all im really hoping theres a 4th or that colfer somehow clears up the whole snow queen incident? if xanthous killed her, why is she still alive? wouldnt brystal have done something about it? or any of the fairy council? its well-known she's still around too. so what's up with that?

i love brystal and lucys friendship developing. theyre shown to be best friends in tlos and honestly they seem like more than best friends in atom but thats just me being queer!! (but theres also no way any main character in this series is not some sort of queer, i mean it's literally just. a large metaphor about discrimination. specifically queerphobia but literally just discrimination as a whole. i mean literally sevens whole thing mirrored HORRIBLE groups like nazis and the kkk with them trying to eradicate the fairies and anyone different if that makes sense) i havent reread this series in a while apart from xelrik moments so i cant call out many specifics however!! brystal being the first one to connect to lucy <3

and wow the third book. xanthous being the LITERAL KING OF HELL? hell yeah!!! my man got a boyfriend and a whole army of fire behind him. AND HE TREATS THEM FAIRLY!!! im just confused how elrik manages to stay alive? (i like to think that while xanthous is taking care of the whole tlos thing elrik is watching over the firey pits of hell they rule together <3) i cant express how much i love that colfer just made these two gay asses the RULERS OF HELL. and oh xanthous as a whole!!!

his abusive dad saying he cant do anything unmanly. i love love thinking that eventually, one day, emeralda (emerelda?? i forgot help) helps him realize that being 'unmanly' is okay and helps him work through his trauma cause they have a really cute sibling dynamic!!! <3

reminiscing on my visit to the provincial art gallery and wow art really is what it's all about huh.

one of the most famous nova scotian artists, maud lewis, lived her entire life inside a house so small it fit within her permanent exhibit at the gallery. it didnt have running water or electricity because she couldnt afford it, but it was covered head to toe in art. every inch of the walls was painted. flowers and trees and birds. all she did was paint.

she couldnt afford canvas or expensive materials so she painted her walls and spoons and whatever flat rocks she would find outside with the cheapest paints available. exterior house paints that had been left on the curb, wood stain for decks, cheap childrens acrylics when she had the extra money. she sold art to visitors for pocket change so she could keep painting.

i almost cried standing there in front of her house, looking at her paintings, reading about her. trying to, despite everything, put more colour and beauty into the world. that's the whole point.

so like. keating; let's talk about that

we desperately need to acknowledge that keating is an amazing man right down to his core. he is so passionate about living life in a way that makes him feel fulfilled that he makes it his main goal to teach others how to do the same.

he experienced the same exact thing as the poets, remember, the movie makes a big deal of how nothing at welton changes. he had the same exact oppressive environment growing up as they did, so he knew exactly how to connect to these boys.

HIS INTENTIONS AND ACTIONS WERE NOTHING BUT PURE, AND THATS WHAT MAKES HIS ENDING ALL THE MORE DEVASTATING.

every single one of his peers and superiors fully believed that neil's death was keatings fault, and actively shunned him for it. not a singular person that wasnt a Teenager in his community understood what he was trying to do. welton painted the narrative that keating taught these insane useless lessons about breaking the rules BUT NEED! I! REMIND! YOU! HE MADE A PRETTY BIG EMPHASIS ON THE FACT THAT U GOTTA BE SMART ABT IT! he called out charlie for the call from god thing for a reason!!

another crazy devastating thing abt keating + neils death is the fact that neil was understanding exactly what carpe diem mean's IMMEDIATELY. AND WAS ACTING ON IT!! he pursued things that he knew would make him happy and fulfilled in the long run, he knew what he wanted to do with his life and he took the first opportunity to get it. the exact fucking definition of seizing the day. keating was REACHING THIS KID SO WELL!! HE WAS UNDERSTANDING EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS SAYING!!! AND THEN!!! AND THEN!!!!!!!!!!

so imagine this. you grow up in the most rigid, boring, unchanging environment and decide fuck it, im gonna Do Something for Myself for Once. you start to think oh, this is actually kinda sick, doing things that make me happy. you escape the environment that aims to essentially make these Children into what their idea of successful is. (quick reminder that there are actual children also attending welton. like kids. like 9 year olds n shit.) you actually chase after every opportunity to be what your idea of successful is, and were so passionate about that way of living that you learned how to teach others how to do it. and also poetry and stuff.

so youre doing exactly that, you finally got to a point where youre doing exactly what you wanna do, and teaching these kids in a situation just like yours. and its going SO WELL! there's this one kid who just GETS IT and is doing it flawlessly and then - oh !

and now everyone around you is like um wtf this is your fault actually. SO YOU HAVE TO PROCESS THE FACT THAT YOUR STUDENT IS DEAD ON TOP OF HAVING TO RELIVE THE ENVIRONMENT YOU HATED AND ACTIVELY WORKED AGAINST YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. AND NOW YOU HAVE NO INCOME OR COMMUNITY OR HOME OR FRIENDS. AND THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT KNOW YOU ARENT A MURDERER ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 18. AND YOUR WIFE LIVES IN ANOTHER COUNTRY. OH AND ALSO YOUR RESUME IS RUINED AND ITLL PROBABLY BE PRETTY HARD TO FIND ANOTHER JOB IF YOU CAN AT ALL.

Thanks alot!!! It means alot to me to hear that you like my art :)!! I dont personally think my composition is that good looking at the ui comic i half assed but glad you like them!! Im still learning!

I think the general rule I think about when drawing are 1) the emotions I want to convey and 2) the focus of the scene (noy necessarily in that order)

This isnt technical or mandatory or anything just what i personally think about.

I want people to feel what Im feeling when I tell a story. Its why love fight scenes alot, I dont need characters to shout I HATE YOU when I can just make them punch someone with the might of years long repressed hatred.

Focus means what YOU want people to see first when they glance at the image for the first time. It helps establish importance of the elements you put in your panel.

Here's an example

I want convey a feeling of melancholy here. So I pick a warm but not vibrant color. Only Moon is present in the image, just her and negative space. This helps convey that it's just her there, in an empty soace, without drawing her physically in an empty room.

Your eyes would lock on her white eyes first, because eyes convey the most emotions, most important element in the panel, so I want you to look at her eyes first. Then your eyes would go straight to the pink flower in the next panel because it stands out compared to Moon, this signifies that the flower is important.

Here's another example

I want to convey an underlying tension and distance between these two, so I pick a cold and dark color. The empty space here is more than the example before and it helps convey distance not just in a literal sense.

Again the first thing you focus on here is Sig's eyes. And then when you move on to the next panel you focus into Pebbles' eyes. The eyes flow into the important elements of each panel.

This is alot harder to do when your art is fully colored and not just a monotone color but yeah im still struggling with that jdjdnmdd. But as you can see even when the panel size doesnt change, it conveys different things.

Some other things i take account to when drawing :

Bigger panel = bigger importance. I use big panels for telling important dialogues, establishing backgrounds, or just pointing at something that i really wanna focus on. Smaller panels are usually for quick events and normal dialogue.

Different camera angles when drawing prolonged dialogues. Just to keep it from looking stale and lazy. Works in normal art too.

Balancing the positive and negative space. When making dynamic poses I always fill the empty space with something if it doesn't look balanced (like if i draw sig floating then his scarf is always coiled in the negative space)

This is just my autistic rambling on how i art,if you mean like my normal art instead comics im sorry sobs jdjdjdnd but thats the jist of it

like truly. i hate it i hate it SO much it doesnt reflect me as a writer, i didnt execute it well at all. it isnt jean and maddys story, in fact, i have their REAL story planned out in my head

so many ppl (even some of my own friends) perceive jean as some narcissistic douche bag taking advantage of a desperate pathetic young girl and that isnt what they are at all. ive built this extensive universe with rage and i could tell you a thousand reasons why maddy and jean love each other but if you actually READ whats published youll be like …no they dont?

published lv isnt their story. what ACTUALLY happens between maddy and jean is this: he builds her a cabin and actually refuses to take her virginity until he believes hes earned it

see i feel like ppl who hate on lv dont wanna give me a break or cut me some slack because they just dont know that lily valley was orginally a one shot, it wasnt supposed to turn into a love story so i was just making do with what i had. part one was a smutty taboo one shot and nothing more and im completely fine w it!!! if i wanted to write a love story back then, i would have but i didnt!

i tried okay like i rlly tried and executed it so poorly that so many ppl hate it and hate me because of it—but thats not even the point the point is

the universe in my head is SO much better than what has been revealed and published online. maddy isnt some pathetic childish lana del rey and old man obsessed girly, shes a strange little fairy that collects bones and herbs and flowers and jumps on jeans back and bites his ears shes bubbly and energetic loves everything and everyone

and jean isnt at ALL what i wrote n published n what people perceive him as. hes silly and grumpy and humble and is constantly falling down tripping on stuff he built maddy a CABIN—in the words of @theragethatisdesire “like genuinely i know jean would kill for her would die for her blah blah but he’s also capable like if she needs something he’s making sure it gets done if she wants something he’s building it with his own bare hands until they bleed he is a man FOR her”

i could tell you EVERYTHING about how jean loves maddy but you wouldnt believe me because thats how it started?

truthfully i just tell myself and rage that published lv was actually just a weird daydream maddy had that didnt happen at all

and it jsut sucks that im such a bad writer that i couldnt salvage the story in the first place. i couldve made jean softer and nicer and more in love with her like he TRULY is, i couldve made maddy less desperate and more giggly and soft like she actually is but at the time i was just having fun and idk took it too far? i dont know but i fucked up

and it sucks even more that i never got the chance to explain all this because i was getting threatened on shepnicolo because SHEPNICOLO WROTE SOMETHING THAT WAS SO DISGUSTING PEOPLE HATED HER AND WANTED TO THROW THINGS AT HER AND STOLE HER SAFE SPACE

Jinsoul said on fab to analyse the colors and the props theyre holding... idk if she was serious but let me talk about it!

There was this theory which assumed that the original Odd Eye Circle were Kim Lip Jinsoul and Hyunjin (instead of Choerry). Not gonna go into detail cause im sure that most lorebits know about it already. And well - the teaser is made of colors with such lighting - Choerry in blue, Lippie in red (or pink to be specific but gonna call it red for the sake of the theory) and Jinsoul in yellow. It would have made more sense for Choerry to be yellow (knowing her connection with Hyunjin) but it isnt the case.

And we know Jinsoul isn't the nicest character in the Loonaverse. Because of her Choerry was able (or forced) to get teleported to Cosmos (or whatever you call OECs realm) through the cherry she placed on a cake. That might explain the presence of color blue in Choerrys photo. As for Jinsoul - maybe she did something so Hyunjin was forced to stay on Earth? And that where her yellow comes from? It may be a stretch but hey! Its just my theory. And it would make sense for Lippie to keep her color, since I think she was the first girl to get her odd eye, which started the OEC in general.

TLDR; colors in the teaser tell something about OECs origins? perhaps

It wont be as complicated as the color theory (flashback to that one loonaverse infographic). I think all props are most likely just symbolic.

All I could get from it is that Choerry is DEFINITELY covering her odd eye - she's the only one in the teaser to do that. Also shes the only one with a diamond instead of a glass ball. Maybe it has something to do with her secondary color being white? And white light getting diffused into other colors through e.g. prisms? Might be reaching again. But it would mean her being the key to the whole story, helping to originally unite all the 12 girls - which I think is a beautiful symbolism.

And just all of them holding circular things in general - might be their representative shapes? Representing the 3 moons yall know the deal.

It was my first lore ramble on here - and a longer post in general. Quite new to this app so sorry if it doesn't fit the standards of a lore post but I tried to make it fun for myself ^^ Its all my theory and please dont be afraid to maybe expand on it and discuss it ♡

HI i am so sorry for rambling in your ask box bc i really need to share my thoughts

bc after reading the theories it makes so much sense? and yes the one with reviving trudy was indeed what james cameron wanted and michelle refused, i sorta read it in an article

the thing that's been bothering me sm is that, if neteyam was meant to appear in the next movies as flashbacks why would he be there until the 4th? i saw the next avatar movies in jamie flatters' upcoming movies and neteyam's list of appearances too last i checked (?)

logically speaking, if he were to appear just as flashbacks then it'll end on the third and that's it. not until 4th. there's no way it takes 2 movies for an intended "character development"

not to mention, i saw some say that it's 'sad how kiri wont be able to visit neteyam via spirit tree' which tbh i think no fucking way. not with that huge ass storyline that awaits for kiri. no way james cameron is gonna just leave that be. kiri's story is meant for something big. some are still wondering who her dad is while tbh i believe it's insignificant on whom but more to how and why.

it's not a reach to say she's a child of Eywa (literally)

'a miracle arrives' said so in Songcord in kiri's part, and with the way the story is set, it's entirely possible for her to also cause a miracle, what the miracle may be is still unknown.

and there has to be a reason why we only get neteyam AND kiri's song. cmon. i tried but i just cant leave that alone.

"but if he's revived then his death in the 2nd movie would be meaningless! no character development would happen!" not if he returns by the end of the 3rd movie. or the 4th. one whole avatar movie is enough for a character to develop.

i like to feed my delusions by imagining the end of the 3rd movie with lo'ak (who's already had his character development) in a difficult situation with no way out and since avatar movies have a thing for ending it with a close up into the protagonist' eyes the camera zooms in to him and in the background we hear a painfully familiar "Lo'ak!" and bam. movie ends. goodluck surviving from that nasty cliffhanger.

i read somewhere that neteyam's codename is said to be 'pathfinder' so do what you will with that information. bc i sure as hell am feeling both pessimistic and optimistic from it

i love the way you worded this: it’s possible for her to also cause a miracle… yeah. i’m with you with that one, too. the reason why we only got neteyam and kiri in the songcord was probably because jake only (weirdly) mentioned teyam and kiri (a bead for the birth of our son, a bead for our adopted daughter). just because they’re jeytiri’s firstborns, maybe? but that’s just my opinion of course.

it’s crystal clear to me that jim only killed neteyam so that he could be the perfect catalyst for lo’ak’s character development. if google and imdb are right and neteyam indeed comes back by the end of the third movie, i think there’ll be no problem, because jim would get what he oh-so-desperately wanted— lo’ak definitely will have that character development by the end of the movie. i’m not even gonna lie, that’s still a possibility, though something tells me jim’s not gonna bring teyam back. i don’t know why, i just feel like it.

i like that ending. and i undoubtedly can see that happening omg. something like, “hey baby bro, need some help?” the way i literally have tears in my eyes right now ugh. the best cliffhanger. jim has to hire us, bestie ! i’m quite sure a3 will end with lo’ak opening his eyes, so it’ll be awesome if something neteyam-related happens. we all collectively agreed that lo’ak’s character development will be done by the end of the movie, after all.

yknow what ill use this as an opportunity to ramble about them askdgakdjk spoilers ahead but ill try to keep the major stuff out

for context the book has pacific rim style mechas, but instead of being drift compatible or whatever its usually a male pilot and his concubine whose life force he usually drains in order to pilot the thing, but theres a LOT of propaganda that makes girls want to be concubines, or families might wanna send their daughters for the money. im simplifying it a LOT especially cause theres more info u only learn later on as zetian herself finds out but anyway

at the start of the book zetian and yizhi are besties who obviously have feelings for each other. zetian is poor while hes very rich so their friendship is kind of a secret and they meet in the woods which i think is cute, point is its p clear zetian tries to mantain a distance, not allowing herself to admit her feelings. for reasons i wont say zetian decided to become a concubine to one of the like bigger more badass guys even if she doesnt believe the propaganda and knows she might die, she only tells yizhi this the day before

he shows up at her house the next day begging her family to let him marry her?????? which is sweet because he wants to protect her but that isnt gonna work bestie sorry she's a woman w a mission

so anyway she goes to the concubine thing and shes surprisingly powerful "for a girl" which yeah thats a super common trope but shes so much more than just the strong protagonist. shes extremely powerful in every sense of the word imo and i love her so much and i wish the world hadnt been so cruel that she had to become so strong. but anyway the guy she wants to pilot w picks her. MAJOR SPOILER they have to pilot the mecha on day 1 cause they're under attack and uhhh she kills him lol lmao she drains her life force instead which supposedly is UNHEARD OF

so they cant just kill her off cause that'd look bad instead they send her to be the concubine of the strongest guy (all of his concubines die after 1 fight) and thats Li Shimin my beloved my little meow meow hes looked down on and kinda treated like an animal cause hes a criminal and the only reason he gets to be a pilot is his powerful qi. anyway shes forced to live w him and turns out hes just a lil guy. like hes very big and scary looking but hes just a tired man pls he needs a break. she fucking survived piloting w him which nobody expected. so now theres a lotta stuff going on i wont get into but some ppl arent happy w this duo cause they're both very powerful and not exactly happy to serve. and Shimin has a drink problem.

IN ENTERS GAO YIZHI hes back babey!!! and he decides to help shimin w his alcoholism. its funny cause when they first meet his crush on li shimin is so fucking obvious zetian is like "huh i always suspected he liked guys too" but li shimin is just pissed cause this is the guy who wants to make him stop drinking

theres like 1 moment of jealousy that i can remember when li shimin realizes zetian and yizhi have a thing going on but its settled very quickly and they all kiss.

back to the drift compatible thing: at one point in the final battle zetian and shimin need more power and yizhi literally lends them his qi (its extremely rare for a third person to help) and its beautiful and they are so in love and i cant wait for the sequel

im so normal about how vampires live forever but also live in constant danger (usually)

on the one hand Mark knows he has eternity

on the other hand he knows that in a few nights it could be his last

but the man lives off denial and so he focuses on the first one.

this intersects w some of his... motivations in interesting ways

for example a main one is who he considers it his responsibility to protect sampson. but ok 1: he is a ghoul, so he'll live forever but does he want to? 2: its a dangerous world so protecting him is a big task and can he do that forever? and 3: what happens if sampson does want to live longer but turns against him either emotionally or in a deeper way? what then.

like basically the situation he's in... can it last forever? probably not. will mark grapple with that fact? No <3 its fine for now cause he isn't even a year in yet but it will be a problem at some point...

another one is serving Julius. so far julius has not asked anything too heinous of him but if there truly is eternity that's not gonna last forever. also, mark doesnt know this, but I Do, that when the pyramid falls, the blood bond may traumatically break but that does NOT mean Julius is gonna let go - only become more coercive, with mark more aware of the shit spot he is in. i am going to go absolutely insane when that happens. mark is gonna have a mc'freakin breakdown and if sampson isnt his friend at this point idk what he will do cause thats the only person in his life who could possibly understand.

Ok and finally just how literally like. ok so. mark struggles against the beast like every kindred does and GENRALLY does well because of a promise to himself after he murdered a guy in hunger frenzy, that once he gets That Hungry (mechanically hunger 4) his top goal will be reducing it and at hunger 3 its one of his highest goals. Like he has to believe he can keep it in check. but with eternity... mistakes happen. like there isnt any way he could prevent himself from ever making a mistake like that again. he is in such denial about it though. and when he fucks up again he'll be forced to accept that it will happen Another time, and Again. itll be so delicious <3 (like the blood i mean what)

mark believes he is taking a long view of things but he truly is NOT. he's just using that idea to Cope. he tells himself he has to settle things in his territory, w sampson, w such and such julius task, then he can sit down, study like he wants to, keep things in check ; but here is the thing. vampire society isnt like that. things are gonna shake up eventually. because you either die fast in one of those shake ups, or you live forever always long enough to see another one.

he is telling himself to just go a little longer, push a little harder, and then he can rest. then itll be ok.

but that might not ever come.

he has to learn some coping mechanisms soon... or have friends. hes not in a place where he could actually step away and get a break.

I'm gonna put it under a cut cuz I go on a bit of a tangent lol

I have a very non-traditional view on gender so it has been a bit of a struggle to navigate. I have listeners who use xenogenders and others who are cis but very gnc. That's why I've found the gendered listener tag helpful. It tells the viewer "im putting a specific gender identity on a version of the listener that may differ from yours". I think its more focused on if the listener is identifying closer to the binary genders, like using fem and masc.

But that also leaves the question of what things are considered fem and masc? Like a trans man having breasts doesn't make them fem or a trans woman having facial hair doesn't make them masc. My angel oc is genderfluid, but even on their fem days they still have facial hair. And what about intersex listeners?

I think it's useful to know that nonbinary isn't meant to be a third gender, it's an umbrella term. Plus, not all nb people are androgynous.

While it's nice and encouraged to curate your space here, nothing is full proof. People are going to forget. Hell, it might even be that someone just has a different view of gender than you.

I'm at a point in my transition where seeing fem listener content doesn't trigger dysphoria, but not everyone else is. Im sorry if this seems mean, but getting your dysphoria triggered by someone elses content isnt their responsibility. Its something that, while there is no shame in feeling that way, should be something you work on. Personally, I like to think of all these different ocs and self inserts as aus. No one's listener oc/self insert is canon. This is all fiction.

The way I do it is if an oc leans towards a binary gender I tag accordingly (like including both masc and nb tags for my freelancer). Otherwise, I use nb for everyone else. I also sometimes use their identity in the tags (like genderfluid!angel). I don't like putting their agab even if they're cis, but that's just a personal preference. I also put their pronouns, gender, and name in the descriptions of my art (ex. On my warden art I put "ft. Nonbinary Warden, Revati (they/them)") to specify that this is an oc. I always use the gendered listener tag on top of these.

( this isnt a vent dont worry , its skaluli (kid) beating up -------- (creator) out of envy. skaluli loreeeeeeee ) ( skaluli isnt a kid but was essentiality creator's creation so technically creators kid even though not really(?), like there was no pregnancy, what am i saying stop talking me. creator has an actual name ( the "-------" (its redacted) ) that skaluli refuses to say out of not wanting to remember the past. skaluli came up with his own name since each creator gets their own, usually given to them. skaluli stole his power therefore he just self appointed himself as one. )

im gonna stop using brackets you get the point. creator's purposes are to create a world and life within, to take care of it and pretty much be a loving god. ------- did that and was really good. they then made kid (who later became skaluli) to then raise them to sorta be there apprentice(?) i dont know the right word. yet kid has no eyes (just empty eyesockets) as he wasnt a creator, (bruh take a shot every time i say creator), unlike ------- who due to being a creator has white glowing shit in their eyesockets and then the two eyepieces which hold their magic. due to creator's being pretty much treated like gods and loved by all, kid got jealous as he was seen as inferior to -------. people did not like the fact kid existed because bias moment. they didnt want ------- to be replaced, people did not want not another creator and saw kid as a false whatever. therefore judgement and anger time. kid is sensitive as all hell and was like people will only like me if i become a creator (like -------) and people will love me. kid was jealous as hell of ------- because people treated them like a friend and a person while kid was seen as nothing. there were a few of -------'s followers who understood but really only people that were nice to kid was the people closest to creator and understood that kid was not a replacement just there to learn. people who actually got to know kid that knew that he wasnt the "bad person" that people made him out to be. ------- followers were just really dedicated and shit because well they exist because of ------- etc etc.

the whole situation of kid being "looked down upon(?)" didnt help with his mental struggles and understanding of things. he thought he had to popular to be loved and treated normally. he had hard time understanding making friends and people's tone of voice, feelings etc.

sorry im rambling i dont know if any of this is making sense i might have to lore dump another time and correct / and make some things clear. (if anyone wants me to bullshit lore dump hellooooooo)

i did these mock pjsekai profiles for the AU and im gonna ramble a bit in the readmore if you dont mind

so in the au i like to think of them as having just entered the academy, i know it says 2nd year but i think they would be the same age as the 1st years in proseka, who are like 15 bc in japan i understand they have 3 years of highschool iirc. They start playing together for an assignment and then decide to keep going as a band even after they get a nice big 100.

some details about each of them:

Bruce: he lives with alfred, who saw that boarding school was making bruce miserable and lonely so it was best to put him somewhere closer to home. I like the idea of his bass being a hand me down from alfred too, so its well-loved and has some jank here and there. I gave him celiac disease bc i recently discovered that my anemia was caused by a gluten intolerance so i wanted to project that lmao

Edward: i know in canon he lived in the orphanage and went to public school and was shit at it, but i wanted to tweak that a bit, bc i like the idea of him living with his grandma and his dad being 60s riddler but he's scummy and not around a bunch. The detail about the coffee thing is just because he doesnt drink the coffee he orders in the film, and the dart thing is bc i didnt know how else to express good aim

Selina: her dad is obviously falcone, and i imagine them being very cold towards eachother most of the time, but when they talk about raising kittens and cats they fall into this amicable tone and they kind of team up and discuss it being very civil and then they go back to being cold. In this she grew up with both of them but her mom died, and Selina and her dad had intense fights after that. She brings kittens she rescues to rehearsals if they need to be nursed, and the tuna detail is bc i want her to think of it as cat food, and i was thinking of canned tuna when i put that in bc i dont really see it sold in any other way where im from

Annika: with her i took the most liberties because there isnt much in canon about her, but i suspect maybe in the next issues of riddler year one we might see more of her, so i hope i nailed some things haha. i dont want her to be an exchange student because i feel like that would change the dynamic and maybe put a time limit on her stay in the academy, so she just lives in gotham like in the movie. She is very distant because i want her to have like a Tragic Past, maybe she was bullied back home or something so she is reluctant to talk to people. Her favourite person of the group is Selina and Edward comes second, i imagine him being very patient explaining the context for the riddles he wants her to solve (bc i like the idea of him randomly asking them weird things for them to figure out). She is kind of creeped out by bruce since he is by far the gloomiest and has a very severe expression most of the time, but its the lighthearted kind of creeped out, if that makes sense
