i find it damn near impossible to get mad at santana’s behavior in 3x06 and 3x07 because i genuinely do think she had the right to be lashing out at everybody. sue me idk

#the Saint of Bright Doors #aroaessidhe 2024 reads #this is kind of hard to explain I dont know if I did a very good job here lol #it is weird and full of so many interesting elements. I’m still not entirely sure how I feel about it but?? I really liked it mostly???#It starts pretty small scale focused on the MC & slowly unravels the wider worldbuilding and narrative elements in a really interesting way #The first chapter or two I assumed it was typical high fantasy but then it’s like. oh this is a modern city. with emails and stuff.#The pacing is a bit weird - it’s quite meandering and also pivots significantly in the second half. tbh I’m still ????? about the ending lm #but also I am happy to float through on vibes.#and there’s some elements (like the doors that become….not that relevant) that I want to know more about. (as an aside - I saw someone say #that it’s a very clear retelling about Buddha’s son? which idk enough about but probably could give a deeper context to a lot of it)#writing style is kinda detached from the MC but also there is a reason for this that makes sense with the twist near the end!#which is a kind of twist i LOVE. Maybe I wish it had been emphasised a bit more over the story though? unsure.#I thought his mother's story was interesting also - you think she's an terrible parent just there for background context at the start but #then when she tells her story it's like ohh there's more context here.#also I hesitate to just say ‘if you like the spear cuts-- you should read this’ because I think the elements that are similar are done in a #kinda different way and might disappoint you if you’re expecting it to be the same as spear….but regardless the sort of dreamy writing #rich world; narrative with fantasy but also modern day elements; some of the writing style; mlm MC (tho not a romance)#idk. it will definitely not work for everyone but I enjoyed it overall #also it is full of queerness #bisexual books

part 5 of my doodle dump! lordyyyyy 😅 I have. so many doodles. of Welcome Home XD this is probably gonna take 2 posts aflksdjfslfsdjf so this one will probably be dedicated to the concept doodles I did for Sage when I very first found out about Welcome Home (which feels weird to say, cause it hasn't been that long -- maybe 2 months? 3? -- but so much has happened since then, and Sage and Rosemary's story has changed so much!)

these are the first two groups of doodles I ever did for Sage when coming up with her design! Originally I wanted Sage to be a mouse, but then I came up with a rabbit design and wound up unable to choose between the two 😅 But you guys helped me out and now we have our lovely lil rabbit gardener!!

these are really old, from when I first was thinking of Sage's story. neither of them are true to her story now (except for the "waltism" one XD), but really was just me messing around with Wally and what would be happening with him :D

These ones, however, are much more relevant to their story now! (though not necessarily true word for word 😅) These are my concepts for Rosemary, along with her and Wally's relationship and how they interacted before Rosemary became Sage! It's a lil spoilery tbh, mostly with those last two, but generally with this part of their story I'm exploring Wally's abilities, as well as the idea of relationships (of any kind!) and support across like...spaces? existence? dimensions? i'm not entirely sure what Home/the Neighborhood is in relation to reality/Outside yet. I think I'm waiting for more information on it all from Clown before elaborating -w-

Ran out of answer spaces but! I felt it was important to split off Team Plasma since there is a significant ideological difference between them (as far as I remember each ideation of Team Rocket has the same goals/beliefs, Giovanni himself just stepped down and changed his mind)

That said! This is less about favorite gen and more about believing in the beliefs -- especially interesting to consider if you align with the Main Villain and their outlook, or if you believe in the so-called "cause" that may or may not be true, or have some truth to it (like, if you wanted to help Pokemon like og Plasma and Aether Foundation).

#thinking about junior high #specifically it started with me saying i should relearn the clarinet i should get one again #then somehow to getting stuff i missed from teachers 'before or after class' because they were busy or i didn't want to be late for class #then to how i was usually on time so i had like no reason to worry #except for pe because i had math all the at the bottom of the junior high hallway then pe at the entire other end of the school #and we had to change but he was pretty lenient and i was usually one of the first kids out #also how most of us left our stuff in the locker room and not the lockers because they were a hassle and somehow we never had any theft #then i thought about how this kid next to my actual locker in fifth grade (no locks) took one of my pokemon magnets im pretty sure #and i never got it back #then i remembered another thing that happened in the fifth grade hallway #where that guy i had a crush on gave me a golf ball he found in his bookbag #well he asked if i wanted it and i said yes (like having things and liked him) and im pretty sure it stayed in my bookbag the entire year #if i knew which bookbag i used that year and if i still had it it might still be in there tbh #also when i was thinking about band i couldn't think of my study hall in 8th because i quit and then suddenly i membered #and idk how i forgot she was like my fav teacher and i had so much fun cus my 2 best friends (like the waterparks song?) were also in it #and since it was like the end of the day she let us like talk and mostly do what we wanted if we didn't have any late work #and me and andi probably spent like 75% of it doodling our little oc guys #i think our other friend spent a lot of it drawing aswell.#wait. now that i think about it. was she in our study hall? doubting myself all of a sudden.#yeah she was because we walked home together and i dont remember waiting in the hall for her or anything #i do remember that when me and her were still in band andi came and got us basically because we always took our time #i miss them :(#winona has something to say

bold theory but im like 80% sure that the spiderman 2 story was a little lackluster because the dlc is going to be doing a lot more of the heavy lifting this time around

#i mean theyve definitely got dlc planned already… they had no idea how well the first games dlc would sell but this time around they do #i mean. okay heres my thought process here #1.#we know that norman is going to become the green goblin soon. the ‘’g-serum’’ he talked about was for harrys cure after the symbiote failed #but norman is probably the one who becomes the green goblin. how? idk yet maybe he tests it on himself first or something #i think thats going to be one of the storylines in the dlc #2. in this game they introduced ally teamups for the crimes in the overworld #two for the spidermen respectively and one for wraith. but during the period where harry is agent venom he has an ally teamup as well #his own animations and voice lines and everything. and thats a very short part of the game #so im actually convinced that harry will wake up from his coma in one of the waves of dlc and fight with the symbiote again #black cat had special finisher animations with miles too so maybe shes an ally teamup too? 👀#maybe wishful thinking but tbh i could see it happening considering the black cat threads from this game havent been entirely wrapped up yet #and also theres a severe lack of ally teamups LOL so im p sure harry at the very least is coming back #maybe to help fight norman somehow for when he turns into the goblin ?#idk. anyways #3. we still have the rest of kravens family to worry about and since they were tracking felecia maybe thats where she comes back ?#4. obviously theres going to be a dlc about the flame/cletus cassidy + carnage.#the flame even has a cult in this adaptation and their gatherings would make great bases which this game DESPERATELY needs more of #also going back to the ally teamup thing yuri still has one post game #and theyre definitely continuing her story given how open ended that questline was #im like. pretty confident in this even though i know its kind of iffy #if they save harry + the goblin for spiderman 3 i wouldnt be surprised but i think it has a solid chance of being addressed in the dlc #tldr there were WAY more lose ends than the first game

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is finally gonna be released from prison :')

#she shouldn't have spent a day there in the first place but at least she's still fairly young #i really hope her father and his family are there to help her as much as humanly possible tho #because let's be real prison don't actually help you learn how to function in the real world #then again we're talking about a girl who managed to teach herself how to read when she was actively being poisoned and severely abused #so i truly have hope for her #also i was reading about this case and i didn't knew that deedee blanchard is also strongly suspected of having poisoned #(but fortunately not killed) her stepmother #AND that her family strongly believe that she starved her own elderly mother to death (!!!!)#this woman was a fucking demon and she WOULD have killed gypsy rose if she hadn't killed her first #i'm glad her family flushed her ashes down the toilet tbh #also while i have no problem believing that she must be pretty fucked up i find it so offensive when i see people #claiming that GR is 'sociopathic'#like you try spending your entire fucking life being moved around not allowed to form any meaningful connections #while also being constantly physically abused and even tortured #you're not gonna be normal and that doesn't mean you're a sociopath like wtf #anyway i'm just glad she's finally getting a chance at life #i'm sure it's gonna be hard and imperfect but at least it can be..you know...an actual life

so like, i dont know if i get what the master did taking o’s identity entirely right but is it right that the doctor met the real o a long time ago, then the master miniaturised him, took his place, and then waited for the doctor to show up again?

because if thats the case when the doctor says “i met o” does she mean she should have realised he doesnt look the same? is “years ago” a very weak justification that doesnt even convince herself about why she didnt notice he doesnt look the same?

i mean i believe the doctor’s pretty faceblind so i dont really blame her for this my question is just is that what she means by that line? does she mean “wait what the fuck you dont look like him” and does she mean “WHY DIDNT I NOTICE MY SUPPOSED FRIEND LOOKS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT”
