I have a headcanon that Jax doesn't like being alone- for himself or anyone else- and that's why he suggested Caine create an adventure for Pomni, and later, that they go find something to eat, since those activities would likely keep people together. It could also be why he made sure Gangle and Kinger would stick together, and hid with them after Kaufmo abstracted.

I have a few more reasons for this hc, but I'm not good with words and this already feels clunky to me, so I'm leaving it off here.

Oh, I enjoy this! I can totally see Jax trying really hard to pull strings as subtly as possible to make sure people aren't alone.

I bet Zooble is always the hardest to convince to be amongst the others, it's probably why Jax was in no hurry to "save them" from the gloinks to cos those humanoid hashbrowns are from Caine's homebrew adventures, so they should be relatively harmless and a cause for mild inconvenience (which would mean Zooble'll be too busy to be in existential dread even if they were alone).

Also, I think it's neat that Pomni got sandwiched between Ragatha and Jax's two opposing attitudes during their breif walk to Kaufmo's room.

Ragatha likes to see the bright side of things or say positive remarks just to avoid the darker side of a conversation. While Jax, on the other hand, just teases Pomni for thinking her situation is still just a dream. It's like a healthy dose of "Technically, this might be shit for you if you're this shocked, kinda funny tho." and "You'll be okay... Probably, Certainly." (I didn't even realize my name had the same syllables as 'go go power rangers, I can't unhear it thank you for this blessed infernal knowlegde)

Opinion on Claude leaving shez without stable work for like 2 years ? I know the alliance is at peace compared to the empire and kingdom so theres not much work for mercs like Leonie Shez and Shamir but give them a job! Was pretty disappointed with our boy ngl lol

Cuz like, a mercenary not having much to do is, like... a good thing. It means no one needs to be fought off, things are peaceful. Like, yeah rip to the mercs, but hearing about a mercenary not having much to do is like, good news lol.

And I like that that causes conflict between them!! I actually really like that; Claude takes him having Shez stay in the Alliance as - what at least appears to be - a way to keep them safe until they're needed for the war. That can be taken one of two ways - Claude wanting to keep his friend safe until war has him make use of Shez's strength for the sake of the Alliance, or, as Arval and Shez take it, just keeping them around until they're useful to Claude's ambitions, their wants be damned. And you can see that makes Shez upset! And makes Claude feel bad! Which is especially hitting because Claude had already unintentionally messed with Shez's life in the prologue, something that also made him feel bad - to the point where he takes Shez to the side and personally apologizes to them. And specifically promise that he'll find a way to make it up to them. If this was that? And it backfired this hard? Mmmm, juice!

This bit of spice between then two of them is something that is such a breath of fresh air after the lack of any real similar conflict between a character and the player character in 3H, and shows off how much Claude can fumble trying to be sincere with others (or, alternatively, how his capability to use people can blow up in his face - depends on how this is played out in the full game). It's something I really hope the full game capitalizes on in some way and has Claude grow from either way.

It also says a good bit about Shez's character too! How being a mercenary is so ingrained in them that even when things are so peaceful that mercs aren't needed despite it being wartime, they aren't only not happy, they're outright annoyed because it gets in their way of becoming stronger - they clearly have their priorities, and they tie directly to their background as a life-long mercenary. But, they still stayed with Claude despite the two year drought of no work - if becoming stronger was all Shez cared about, they'd have dipped way earlier. But as annoyed and put off as they are about Claude not having any work for them, they still stay by his side until they literally can't scrap by anymore. It implies some level of bond between the two of them, and I'm interested in seeing how that bond will play out once the game drops in full!

I still remember the RAGE I had when staff chose to introduce blazed posts in our dash without consideration of the contents we choose not to see (tags, word filters) and after YEARS of curating our dash so we can live in peace on this circus of tumblr dot com.

And I remember my surprise when I received the gift, shielding me from the nonsense I was so mad about.

I want to subscribe but the fee being standardised across the globe and my currency (and our national mean and median salary) being low af means it is not affordable, especially when it only offers ad-free browsing with no other extra benefits.

I willingly pay for YouTube Premium because it offers much more than ad-free experience; the features have proven to be useful for me personally.

I have personally written to @support (in their feedback form) suggesting a two-tier subscription with base subscription offering only ad-free browsing at a lower fee and a premium subscription tier which offers a bit of extra benefits, e.g., one crab per month, and pricing the two tiers strategically so that users who can afford the premium tier would choose to pay more, but at the same time tapping into users from lower income/currency countries.

In order to figure out suitable fees for both tiers, targeted market survey is one tool to obtain meaningful feedback, and I would be more than willing to participate if @staff do perform such survey.

At the end of the day, any offering of paid services should be deemed as value for money, and who else is better to give input on what value is in this case if not us who are chronically on tumblr.
