I'm kind of new to voltron shipping terms, may I know what's the difference with 'broganes' and june 11th prompt of siblings? I'm so sorry if this is a dumb question, I just thought that sibling sheith = broganes? I'd really appreciate your clarification! Thank you!!

Hey, yes, good question!

So broganes is a term coined by antis that was basically meant to say well there last names both end in "-gane" so that means there related and are brothers so you cant ship them. Other common justification for broganes is that they're also both asian so they have to be related or other racist things of that nature. So broganes is not a positive term and is really only used by people that are against sheith and want to demonize it.

The siblings prompt however doesnt necessarily mean that shiro and keith are siblings it could be interpreted as many things including:

Sheith having multiple children, so the children are siblings to each other

Keith or shiro having a sibling, so tht sibling may help or hinder their relationship

Fake siblings, perhaps to hide that they are romantically involved

Step sibling sheith au where they are not related but are romantically involved

Actual sibling sheith au where they are romantically involved because sometimes its fun to explore taboo in fiction

I just joined tumblr and I saw one of your posts about sheith fic recs! I dunno if you read gen fics but there's a really good gen fic with good sheith vibes on ao3 called the lost red paladin but I forgot whose the author :/ I love their whole gen fic series because of the sheith vibes but the lost red paladin is by far the best imo Hope you like it too!
