I'm obsessed with the way you write Eris. Any Valentine's thoughts for him?

He's so fun to write for !

Ooh I do have thoughts...

If you weren't romantically involved yet, Eris would leave several gifts:

Most would be more on the practical side, but they would be thoughtful as well. There'd be a simple note, something like, "Your current boots are filthy. Please utilize these new ones. -E. Vanserra" but they're boots in a style and color you love made of the finest materials. So you can tell he put a lot of thought into it.

Gorgeous arrangements of flowers with a note, "Your living quarters were rather dull. I trust these roses will help add some life and beauty. -E. Vanserra". Most of the roses are a deep red though some are more vibrant and remind you of his hair.

And a stunning necklace hand crafted out of the finest metals (the tone of which matches your skin perfectly). There's a gem in the center that brings out the color of your eyes. It's breathtaking and there's a note that says, "It's a shame that such a creature as you doesn't have jewels to adorn her neck. I hope this remedies that. -E. Vanserra".

Everything is well thought out, hand crafted and chosen specifically with you in mind. His affection shows, even if his notes are designed to hide it.

If you are together, he's more focused on spending time with you:

He'd take you out riding, lead you to some hidden place that is peaceful and beautiful among the birch trees. He'd have food and drinks prepared, of course, and would ensure that the two of you are not disturbed.

The gifts would still be present, though now he hands them to you in person rather than hiding behind a note. He wants to see your eyes light up, wants to see the joy on your face.

After dinner he absolutely would take the evening to remind you how attractive you are to him. He'd worship every inch, every line and curve, would drag his lips across your skin and pour out his love for you. It's a day about reminding those you love that you love them, and he would be certain to do just that

Can Simon physically experience pain?

Hi anon.

Simon is virtually indestructible, invulnerable, impervious to most things, so generally, no. I could list off numerous examples, but I'll stick to only three; he takes a bomb to the chest in Avengers Two and is just fine afterwards, is unaffected by bullets in Uncanny Avengers, and handles millions of amperes of electricity in Marvel Two-in-One #51 and is again, fine.

However, he is seemingly affected by negatively charged ions, at least in Wonder Man v3.

Eric's scythe is sometimes anionic too, so he's occasionally hurt by that. He also is hurt by people who hit really fucking hard, like Vision or Ultron.

He's also pretty beaten up by Hulk in Avengers #686

But as a general rule, I would say unless you have similar or greater strength than him, or have something really specific designed to hurt and/or kill him, he's not someone who experiences pain often.

you’re so sweet to ask (and to care)!!! i certainly do intend to at some point. life has been incredibly hectic for me over the last few years — for context, this past academic year i was working three jobs, taking two phd seminars, working on my dissertation, and doing my own research — so i’ve simply not had the time, and when i have had any downtime (such as on summer break right now), i’ve been engaging in other creative pursuits. i love this community and all of my wonderful, talented friends within it and am so touched that people continue to read my fics, and i have every intention of returning to them!

i’ve had the final chapter of i would know him in death written since i published the first chapter, but i need to finish the one in between the last one that was posted and the end. sometimes it’s difficult to return to them after time away because i have to recapture the characters’ voices, which i’m extremely particular about and want to get just right. anyway, that’s all to say that the short answer to your question is yes (to both fics and edits)!!! but it will likely be a bit longer, and thank you so much for reading and caring in the meantime ❤️

Din Djarin x reader valentine's?

What you think just because I'm an absolute slut for Din Djarin that I'll cave and write headcanons for Valentine's? Because you'd be—

Din strikes me as the sort who would either forget entirely or you'd assume he'd forget and then surprises you by gifting you something small but thoughtful. I lean towards the latter.

In a perfect world where he could truly spoil you, I like to think he'd leave notes and such scattered here and there for you to find that have compliments and pet-names to you in Mando'a. Mesh'la (beautiful) Mirdala (clever) Cyar'ika (beloved)

His creed demands he keep his word, so if he promised to spend time with you, he would do everything in his power to get to you, to spend that time he vowed.

In his N1 he can travel quickly, but it's really not meant for multiple passengers. It's amazing he has space for Grogu. However, if we are setting this back before his Razor Crest was blown up, I feel he's the sort who would take you somewhere calm and beautiful to enjoy the day together. You both deserve a break in the hecticness of your lives, and he'd recognize that.

He puts in the effort to be a bit more attentive, to help show you how much you mean to him as sometimes words fail him.
